Minecraft YouTube??

Hello everyone!

So I know I'm fairly new to the minecraft side of tumblr, and my posting isn't consistent (I'm working on that!) but I was wondering if anyone had any tips, or even just "truths" about becoming a minecraft youtube channel.

It's been in my mind for YEARS to start a youtube channel, and not for money or fame, but for fun. However I am not sure where to begin, and whether or not that's something people even really want to see?

Should I stick with the pretty screenshots and stuff? Do tell me your honest thoughts.

If I did start out, it'd be a plain old vanilla minecraft world where I play survival and talk with you guys. Do let me know what you think, and your experiences if you're a minecraft youtuber or streamer yourself. I'd love to hear it!

So I have decided to make a master-list of projects I want to add to my world(s) in minecraft. I will be posting updates on this as their own posts, but I think having an ongoing general list of things to refer to will be nice!

I was running around and so confused why my fps dropped so much. I found the solution fairly quick. Someone (myself) decided to put a stack of seeds in the feeding trough and then go afk while doing errands around the house.

Forever World: Day 150!

Hey there!

So I recently hit 150 days (in-game), which is so fun!!

I decided to begin a village project, but I'm not going to rush to complete it! It also includes making a long path, which I know will probably lead to me doing other projects along the way, I don't stay on one exact goal, I kinda move around to keep my interest in the game.

So, the middle of my barn is almost like a tunnel. It goes through the entire thing, and I wanted a path from the other side to lead somewhere. I decided it's gonna lead to the village.

See the hill behind the barn? I gotta cut that down to make the paths easier to walk. It's gonna be a fun day terraforming (;-;) future Ash here editing this blog to say it was not that hard at all, and I was being dramatic :)

Supplies I'll likely need:

• shovels galore

• lots of dirt

• granite

• cobblestone

• cobblestone slabs

• dark oak slabs

• moss

• gravel

So, that list was somewhat accurate and will be more accurate when I actually make the proper path, but for now, here's a screenshot of the cut down hill. I decided to keep some of it and loop the path around it, but I cleared up the part that was lile 3 blocks away from the back of the barn.

It adds light to the barn now, too! (during the day, obvi)

I think it'll look super nice to have some uneven terrain, but to my design, that way, it adds a more natural windey road feel rather than just a straight shot to the village (which is nearly straight ahead)

What i essentially did was push back the hill a few blocks so it wasn't super cramped and close to the barn. I plan to wind the path around it instead of straight ahead. You'll see what I mean next post when I talk about that!

Now here's my dilemma: there's a HUGE mountain straight ahead, and it's lower down compared to the Y level the village is on. I dug a tunnel through out of curiosity, but it would be a bit difficult to make that pretty and short. I think going around the mountain with a nice path would allow for a huge market of some sort (like on our master list!) to be by the paths, as there's a plains biome to the side.

Should I do both the paths? through the mountain and around, or just around?

TB thinks I should do around the mountain and then make a scattered path heading up the mountain, too. what do you think?

Next up on the list of things I decided to do recently was completely demolish the village and move all the villagers into a little temporary hut. I know it's inhumane, but once they get big free-roaming homes, they can't complain too much.

I have never rebuilt a village, and I know this project is going to take me a while, especially because I will need to do a lot of details, planning, and other things.

I want to have some of the more useful villagers, as well as some more for aesthetics, but regardless, getting them homes is my first priority.

I'm going to eventually make a carrd similar to my bio one (pinned post) with an updated list of my modpacks or resource packs. However, for now, I'll list them out and include pictures here for your viewing!

modpack overview

Firstly, here's the modpack overview. It's for the latest version of the game (which I regret because it made a lot of mods I wanted incompatible). I was new to modding. Most of these work for older versions if you so choose to experiment with that!

It's also ran through fabric, which is used for more cozy-vanilla friendly mods, whereas forge or something else is used for more game-changing mods.

I do add content to this modpack kinda often, so I'll make updated posts if I add thing non-cosmetic.

client mods

So these are "client mods," which to my understanding only impact your gaming and not the server or world.

So some of these download automatically with other mods, like the entity ones and I think sodium.

I downloaded "BadOptimizations", "ImmediatelyFast"," and "Iris Shaders" myself because the first two helped my gameplay run smoother on a low quality PC, and the last one is needed to run the shaders I chose. You can experiment with that, too, but I know most people use Iris.

okay, so these are all the rest of them underneath client mods. I'm not going to go into much detail for each one, I'll just kind of generally group them together. If you have any specific questions about any or want a link, comment !!

Most of them are self-explanatory, so I'll talk about the random ones that aren't.

ModernFix, FPS Reducer, Architectury, are all similar to the optimization mods but they alter game stuff to make your game run better.

--

Essential make it similar to bedrock when it comes to hosting single-player worlds and having a social menu. You can send screenshots and dm on there.

Mod Menu adds a mod button to your menu screen. Allows you to access mods and configure them, especially if you have a configure mod added.

Text and Fabric API are needed to run the other mods.

resource packs

these are the current resource packs I have added. Since there's so little, I'll go through them all.

Borderless Glass, self explanatory. Makes windows borderless and looks more seamless and realistic.

Better leaves add a bushiness to the leaves blocks.

Dynamic surround sounds adds some really nice and immersion noises to the game, by far a favorite.

Circle Sun and Moon

Fresh animations are so cool that they add more realistic animations to the mobs in game!

Grass flowers and flowering crops add flower textures to the blocks and the crops in the game, super cute!

shaders

Lastly, these are the shaders I currently have on. Tweak around with the video settings on it. All the options look good !

I'm currently nineteen years old, and studying engineering in college.

Hello everyone!

I'm so sorry for the lack of posts, I've been getting everything prepared for the next season of my life! Thanking and also trusting God heavily for this one.

I recently started a semester at a new school, same major and everything but new environment so that was pretty scary.

When I have some free time, hopefully Friday, I'll try to hop on my work and get some screenshots and pretty builds situated for you all! I have to photograph my new greenhouse, but the interior is taking me longer than expected.

The greenhouse will also include a new feature im adding to my world + posts, which will be SO fun to showcase and add some story to me world.

Essentially, if the idea was given to me by a friend or a fellow blogger, I'll have a segment of my post dedicated to the build being "sponsored" by that person in my world, and some info as to why.
