Seeing this image circulate (x) knowing what I know about there being four chimes at the library when Joyce and Jonathan fight about Will in S1 (while they talk about 'the lights'), that Will was found under the library the first time he was taken...and this is where the gates met in S4? This is where we're getting filming happening to start things out?

The audition tape was revealed to be dialogue from an episode of EDtv.

Sometimes the ST production uses existing scripts from other work to have talent read off of for their audition.

If they already have a vision for the character in mind, they can use other media as a way to test out the actor skills, and also avoid spoilers and leaks in the process.

So while it could still be an audition for s5, the dialogue itself has no actual relevance in terms of what she’s saying somehow aligning with the s5 plot, bc that script already exists in another story entirely.

Though we’re not supposed to be getting any new characters. When I heard that I still expected a handful of new characters anyways, but it’s getting to a point where we’re already at 3+ rn so I’m wondering if it’s more complex than them being new characters. Maybe they could be playing flashbacks of older characters younger though?

Idk if you are following the st5 filming updates but apparently a church scene was supposed to be filmed this month and has now got delayed to august due to actor unavailability and now one blog is saying that the actor unavailability could be noah due to his stye eye

if the actor unavailability is actually noah why is he required to film here?? what is will byers gonna do in a church??

it could be anybody because i think most of the teens/older teens aren’t filming atm so it’s not only noah missing. the streets are saying it’s actually millie that they were referring there but there’s no way to know. imo noah’s eye seems to be well enough now that they can hide it but he’s still in nyc so i don’t think it’s him.

in the hypothetical case it was noah, considering they added those upside down tentacles or whatever they are called to the church, maybe it’s a vision from vecna. why a church? no idea but it makes sense to get more visions with will as he’s directly connected to vecna

Pre-strike I was guessing Jan-March 2025 for ST5.

Assuming the strike ends soon and they get to start filming by August-September, that puts them at a Summer 2025 release?

I don’t see them stretching it to Fall 2025 bc Netflix prefers their summer releases.

That gives them a full year to film (which was already the plan for st5 according to sources saying it was originally going to film from June 2023-June 2024) and then they get like 7+ months of post-production.

Summer 2025 is most likely atp..

Idk where the jump to 2027 is coming from though lolol. 2026 won’t even be necessary let alone another year after that 🤣
