At random moments, my heart fills with overwhelming joy whenever I remember that Mr Hulce is an actual Disney prince, and that he has been MY Disney prince since i was 11 years-old. I know I wish he did some more musicals during his acting career, but I can't deny a part of me is very pleased that he chose to do it one time only, and THIS is the one he chose to do, and by god did he make the right choice..! How incredible it is he graced us with his gorgeous voice, in what can be considered Disney's most ambitious and daring animation project, to sing perhaps one of the most spectacular scores they ever wrote. Words can't describe how incredibly happy all this makes me.

gonna be harsh for a minute here. i can’t imagine what it would’ve been like for taylor to be on the eras tour, and instead of being celebrated, hearing about how she is some evil person for achieving these amazing things. ofc the breakup led to A Lot of Stuff, but staying would’ve been so damaging too. just thinking about how successful red tv/midnights were, but she was still feeling so down and felt the need to pull back and protect her relationship by not being “Too Big.” just glad that she is in a good place both professionally and personally and is supported instead of being put down.

okay i'm done pimping my stuff (well the already written stuff now it is time to introduce tumblr land to these 2 fics i'm back digging through and trying to make them put together fics that are gonna start the same and then branch off - they're both version of Alex being hired for Henry by the crown in some capacity AND OF COURSE BENEATH THE CUZ WHAT BETTER WAY TO INTRODUCE Y'ALL TO IT THAN SMUT-ISH WORDS LOLZ

Henry’s voice is barely more than a whisper as his grip on Alex’s waist tightens. “I need this … Alex, I need you right now.” Alex lets the admission hang in the air between them in all its raw and vulnerable honesty. Then he nods, his heart now pounding too, keeping his touch gentle, as he senses that is what Henry really needs. “Then I’m yours, Henry, for as long as you need.” Alex watches in the silence as Henry processes his words and as his expression softens. There is something else there a hint of gratitude, maybe, or possibly relief. Henry leans back on the sofa and pulls Alex with him. Alex sees the tension that’s been holding Henry together all day seem to unravel. His hands slide under Alex’s shirt, moving slowly, deliberately, as if taking his time to really savor the connection between them. Alex doesn’t reign himself in he lets his body respond instinctively, he feels his skin tingle under Henry’s touch. Alex matches Henry’s pace, keeping his movements deliberate, there is no rush. He wants Henry to feel in control and provide him the space to release the emotions Alex imagines he’s been bottling up all day. It feels like hours that they stay in this bubble—exploring each other with slow, languid touches. The light from the fireplace and the quiet of the room wrap around them. Any urgency that might have been in their earlier kisses gives way to something intimate and tender. Alex senses Henry’s need for someone who sees him, not as a prince in this moment but a man who just wants to be held and cared for—understood even.

The start of a super long project that I probably not going to finish.

I have always been fascinated with the art on playing cards. I especially like the ones that have unique designs for each card, or a different character for each one. So, I decided to take a jab at it via Rayman. This is made under the guise of teensies making this for teensies, so teensies are going to be the main designs (sorry everyone, you can go home now).

This is also an excuse to practice in the Legends art style since I hate painting and this whole thing is basically painting so whoopieee.

people have pointed this out before but I love how the death note jdrama highlights how needlessly cruel L is capable of being..... calling Light (and the other Kira suspects) early in the investigation to falsely accuse him of being Kira just to see how he'd react, taunting Light relentlessly while he was imprisoned and interrogated, and of course the mock execution. all while knowing no one can really stop him. the jdrama really said "btw don't forget this guy's an ASSHOLE"

To be fair to "illario is bad at lying" I don't think he had a contingency plan for "my cousin who I tried to have murdered came back after a whole year of being tortured in an underwater prison by the lady I've been sleeping with and he's an abomination now, also I have to pretend my grandma got murdered." His plan got monumentally fucked up

Listening to Epic in the bath and thinking about a real stage production...

Limited by practical effects and real time scene/costume/actor changes...

Imagine a stage with a second tier, like a balcony on the stage; surround sound in the whole theater, a projector overhead.

Depending on the saga and the song, both sets change, but the speakers and projector are barely used - only for the gods and monsters.

When they're fighting Polyphemus he IS the upper stage, the whole set dressing up there is the Cyclops, looking down on the cave below where the actors stand, and his voice booms out of the speakers; for Scylla, she's the lower stage, and the upper is the ship.

When Zeus offers Odysseus the choice between his own life and the crew's, the actor for Zeus isn't actually on stage, he's projected on the upper stage, decorated with clouds, and his voice comes through the speakers - only making a flesh and blood appearance in God Games, where the other gods are all above Athena.

Hermes flitting about the upper stage during both of his songs as Oddy struggles to keep him in line of sight down below, his voice changing from only the left speakers to the right as Oddy looks in the wrong direction.

Circe starts on the upper stage and comes down for her final song; Calypso spends "love in paradise" trying to drag Oddy towards the upper stage, and then for the final part where she's talking him down, he's on a ledge up there, with Athena below; Penelope is always on the upper stage in her appearances, except right at the end, when she descends over the course of "will you learn to love me again". (Also I imagine during the long "... Youuuuuuu" her and Oddy are leaning in to kiss painfully slowly the whole time the note is held and the stage lights are narrowing down until only their heads are illuminated when they finally kiss and the fanfare plays; surely we've all pictured it this way)

Do I even need to explain the impact of "the horse and the infant" with a two-tier stage?? He climbs up to the second stage just before he gets the vision from Zeus (all projector) and at the end the actor fully drops the "baby" onto the lower stage as it goes dark. Sickening thud through the speakers optional.
