IDW unveils two new Sonic the Hedgehog one-shot issues, 900th Adventure and Endless Summer
Take a look at these new Sonic the Hedgehog one-shot issues from IDW Publishing, scheduled for a summer release.
900th Adventure
This issue, tentatively scheduled for 16 August, will feature various writers and illustrators as the blue blur goes on his "900th world-saving adventure!"
Sonic and his friends are playing a game of hot potato! Only the potato is the Warp Topaz and it could warp the whole world into oblivion. The gang is passing off the Warp Topaz in a relay race to get rid of it once and for all.
"Wave goodbye to the office and say hello to the beach," read the official solicitation. This issue is scheduled for a 30 August tentative release.
Sonic drags Jewel on a well-deserved beach day to spend time with her besties, Tangle and Whisper! But when they all settle in for some rest and relaxation…they realize the Babylon Rogues had the same idea… at the same beach. The only way to settle this is with a totally tubular beach showdown!

This issue is all about Silver the Hedgehog! First, he’s incredibly suspicious of the Diamond Cutters' new member and he jumps to a conclusion that leads him to some hasty accusations. Awkwardness ensues. Then, Blaze comforts Silver as they bond over being away from home and in Sonic’s world.
The speed round winners were The Torrances and Harlivy. The top 2 winners of round 1 were Petrigrof and Chainshipping. The bonus round helps prevent a clear sweep and gives other ships a chance to shine. Good luck. The winner will be entering Round 2.
We have 9 teams duking it out. Propaganda will be posted then linked in the poll post. Round one begins today! I'll see y'all with the next round hopefully next Sunday but definitely next week if not.
Submissions will remain open since this is such a small poll. They'll be added in later rounds, naturally.
Here's your first look at IDW Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 64
The 64th issue, written by Ian Flynn and Evan Stanley, with illustrations by Stanley and Aaron Hammerstrom, is "all about Silver the Hedgehog."

The World, the Flesh and the Devil: An Early Example of Existentialist Afrofuturism
The World, the Flesh and the Devil is a fantastic yet underseen film that explores race in the after math of nuclear holocaust, and stars the late great Harry Belafonte. Please give it a watch and check out my review for the film.
Harry Belafonte’s passing has struck a chord within varying circles dependent on your primary artistic outlet of choice. While best known for his calypso music and activism, Belafonte was also an actor with an eclectic body of work. Through fifteen narrative feature films made over six and a half decades, Belafonte worked with major talent, including behind and in front of the camera, often in…
Good afternoon everybody! Results have come in and I'm currently setting up the next bracket.
I just thought I'd share how I'm going about sorting these folks in round 2. Some of these polls leveled out at around 50 votes and other closer to 200. So I'm matching them up by numbers. Folks that got a lot of votes are getting paired with likewise.
Michael Aftons poll post got a whopping 521 votes, twice as much the others, so given that theres an uneven amount of people right now, he's going to sit out for this one and come back in round 3.
