How long have you been in the CS/OUAT fandom?

I've been in the fandom off and on since season 3 of OUAT. That's over 10 years now. Wow! Where does the time go! I was generally a lurker who occasionally wrote fic, but got slightly more involved about four or five years ago. I blame @kmomof4. She's a fantastic enabler, lol.

When did you start shipping Captain Swan?

Season 2, actually! "Tallahassee" was such a fantastic episode. The chemistry between Killian and Emma was off the charts! But as the season progressed, it seemed like the showrunners planned a reconciliation between Emma and Neal, and I was so very not cool with that. I actually stopped watching the series altogether. I'm eternally grateful for the gifmakers of Tumblr. When the infamous kiss in Neverland started showing up on my dashboard, I raced to catch up on the series. I'm absolutely thrilled Emma and Killian got the happily ever after they deserved!

What drew you to this event?

I couldn't not participate in the final year! I love supernatural stories (vampires are a particular favorite), and I've participated in previous years as a writer. This time, I'm dusting off my art skills to team up with a couple of fantastic writers, @mie779 and @undercaffinatednightmare. I'm both nervous and excited (or "nervouscited" as my kids say, lol). I haven't done fan art for an event in over a decade. I also have the privilege to beta read for @beckettj and @piraterefrigerator. <3

The community aspect is the most fun for me! I'm excited to challenge my art skills and hopefully create something that my writers will be happy with!
