people don't talk about how powerful will solace is enough, in my humble opinion. like, this man sewed limbs back on and had them functional without the ability to call upon his father's powers--that was all him. furthermore, he managed to harm Nyx twice in TSATS while in tartarus, and like....tartarus is, quite literally, the farthest will could possibly distance himself from his father's domain. he was weak, tired, injured, and afraid, and he managed to scrounge up enough force to inflict a beam of light powerful enough to singe the primordial deity of darkness that, in some mythos, is older than gaea, to the point where she cries out in pain. he also, after having weakened so much from that burst of light he had to be carried and was woozy, inflicted a strong case of hay fever on a primordial goddess on his first attempt at accessing his plague powers. like, if it weren't for his fatal case of imposter syndrome from watching his role models die before his very eyes, will would be on league with the Big 3 kids and topple the world.

oh, and I forgot to mention this all happened when he was FIFTEEN YEARS OLD, and he injured a primordial with powers he discovered how to use in such a manner, or that he had at all, ON THE GO.

yay! I drew these quite literally three years ago. dragonheart!milo and raihan! a knight on a doomed dragon hunt being lifted out of his station by a small village medicine man. together they become magic lawyers and overthrow the government

the main details in these do survive into the iterations I’ve drawn (instead of these actual designs I spent time to make el oh el): the “leaf” diamond quilt/gambeson and the plaited coattail for milo, the “atypical” weapons, long coat, and large number of scattered fake gold trims and accessories for raihan. I think I lost raihan the hat and added a cape for milo further down the line because like this their general silhouettes are too similar for my liking lol

Sometimes I think about that dramatic scene in National Treasure where Abigail is in danger of plummeting to her death and she and Ben both look and realize the Declaration of Independence is also about to fall down the abyss so Ben drops her (onto a ledge) to go get the Declaration and I’m like… this movie slaps but being in a situation like this requires a level of patriotism I have never had and will never have

Treating myself on Friday after work to go see Longlegs. I fucking love Nicholas Cage and I can't wait to see how he's gonna play a serial killer. I was eleven when Ghost Rider came out and I've been a fan since. Ghost Rider is the only Marvel character I've ever liked, and I wish they'd do another movie. But only with Nic Cage. Nobody does it better than him, even if he is over the top.

I'll update with my thoughts on the movie afterwards, if I ain't too tired.
