Idk how I never made a full sheet for my Athena design so here’s an updated sheet of her casual and battle-mode clothes :D you have no idea how much pain and suffering went into me stubbornly trying to keep her feathers brown while keeping some part of her blue like QT and so odysseus can have a blue cloak inspired by her. Trying to make brown work with blue was like trying to mash two magnets with the same charge together. Also I honestly love the idea of her using her wing cape to fly but at the same time i don’t want her losing one side of it to affect her flying… so idk…
#fun fact about my Athena design#months ago I was sitting in class doodling chibis of my athena design#a boy behind me saw and complimented me like ‘woah I like the way you draw’#he proceeded to ask if I was drawing greek mythology/ greek gods??????#FOR CONTEXT THERE WAS ONE GIGI CIRCE DOODLE AND A COUPLE OF CHIBIFIED ATHENAS???#IDK HOW BE RECOGNIZED THEM#HE EVEN MANAGED TO IDENTIFY MY ATHENA DESIGN AS ATHENA#I WILL NOT STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS. BOY COME BACK LET ME ASK YOU IF YOU KNOW EPIC. PLEASE#Anyway. that story is one of the reasons I don’t want to change my design cuz if some random stem kid could recognize it as ATHENA??#I did something right#epic the musical#jorge rivera herrans#fanart#epic athena#Athena#pallas athena#epic the musical fanart#epic the wisdom saga#character design#greek goddess#greek mythology#xria art#xria design

#i dont think im a bad person. i dont think i behave in ways that are especially terrible. i dont hate myself. but i do believe i deserve to#suffer. and im not sure how to align those incongruent ideas. its hard to articulate because a lot of my rigidity stems from restrictions#without cause. i don't do things for a specific reason. im not afraid that if dont do specific things it will cause bad things to happen. i#behave in specific ways because thats what i have to do. thats just the way it is. without reason. without cause. like im getting dictates#from some higher power. a lot of my restrictive behaviors manifest in a sort of religious way. not in a religious trauma way. the church i#grew up in was all love thy neighbor and not fire and brimstone. its more that this rigid views is deeply and profoundly rooted in how i#belive i need to behave. i behave imperfectly. i make mistakes. and there has to be a consequence. i have to suffer. and thats just how it#is. like preying for forgiveness or committing self flagellation. i repent through self punishment. and when i try to imagine why i do this#all i can think about is being a little kid. praying before i went to bed. not aloud. the prayers i kept silent. that nobody would get sick#and die. that all the kids in childrens hospitals would get better and that nothing bad would ever happen to anyone. i had a pretty idealic#childhood. it was stable and my parents loved me a lot. i was never really bullied in school. my family was comfortably middle class without#money troubles. and i guess i find that difficult to contend with because i didnt do anything to deserve that. it was just luck. and why#should i have that when other ppl dont? but random things dont happen to you because you did something to warrent them. thats not how the#world works. so maybe im seeking to balance the scale. maybe im trying to pay for my good luck because it makes more sense that way.#sins must be punished and good fortune must be paid for. but only for me. i am an isolated entity controlled by an angry god.#and again. i dont hate myself or thing im a bad person. it only seems fair and correct that i should suffer. thats just how it is.#and how do you classify that? its a rigid worldview that sprauls out into restructions and compulsions. a lens warped from through#existential fear? the rot from which 0cd manifested? a set of restrictions born of aut1sm? i dunno. it doesnt really matter but i try to#classify anyway. maybe it doesnt fit neatly into one box. so it goes.#just stupid bullshit im being forced to deal with now that im basically in triple therapy lol#unrelated

vital part of the Kids Cant Read discourse thats KILLING ME is that the only opinions we see are from english teachers. this is fine when the discussion is ostensibly about literacy but i think we should pass the phone to math teachers and computer science teachers. because im a little suspicious that the focus on stem for the past 20+ years could be a contributing factor
#'kids dont even get spelling tests anymore because their teachers just expect theyll have spellcheck 😥😥'#1. they will (said as someone coming up on 8 years of school spelling competitions)#2. which generations fault is that 🤨#3. if spelling is being phased out but we all know block coding what does this say about how our 'stem first' values are working out#not sure how well i articulated this but the answer you should be at rn is 'they arent'#english class has been devalued to where people on this site think 'media literacy' means 'agreeing with my take'#people irl say computer science is the only way to make money#theres huge misconceptions about simple shit youd learn in a humanities class#the concept of cultural diffusion. which religion believes what. history of different countries.#things ive had to tell grown adults: africa is not a country. or a barren wasteland. neither is the arctic circle.#the amazon ALSO has people in it. the us DOES have something to do w the philippines actually#is this how we get the james somertons of the world#nah jk he didnt know how to code. did yall see the process of him privatinf his videos lmfao

i truly am the elle woods of stem
#teacher why are you acting so shocked i'm better at coding than these people i was literally top of your class last semester#people keep being surprised i'm decent at coding like they can't imagine the emo kid in the mini skirt and clown makeup has skills#classmate was very dismissive of the idea that i might ever be top of the class. i was better than him in every subject and i was#second in the class overall. i'm still not the top of the class but i'm still feeling... vindicated#the girl who was actually top of the class would probs be the elle woods of stem but she's taken more seriously than me so i'm ignoring tha

as an actor who got kind of forced into directing, i'm debating whether i should literally take directing as an act and give them the whole "we still don't have a show" speech, or should i be myself and be like "guys it's a week till opening but we can do this"
#sigh#this is more stressful than i thought it would be#especially when your senior class acts like children#big respect to great directors#musical theatre#musicals#theatre kid#musical#theatre#lei does stem school

honestly maybe it's bc i'm from a small town in florida where we didn't have a lot of covid cases until spring break hit, and also florida just... never really enforced a lockdown but every time i see a post talking about the Youth Of Today were all extremely damaged by lockdowns its like??? i think maybe ppl just haven't been around a lot of kids but working at summer camp before and after lockdowns the kids (5-13) seem fine & their behavior is the same. i was a freshman in high school when covid hit and certainly some people had a rough time mental health wise and i had friends i didn't see for years bc they were immunocompromised and had to switch to florida virtual bc schools here just stopped offering online school. like, it sucked, it still sucks, it was definitely a disruption. I'm just really not seeing any visible kind of developmental or behavioral issues in young children, anecdotally. Especially not to the extreme level suggested in some posts
#The same with posts about computer literacy like... Again i did a STEM program in HS#So probably my friends and I were more computer literate than average#But like. I promise you most teenagers know what a file is and how to find it#And those who don't can generally be taught basic literacy in a semester#the posts about ppl not knowing how to read is real tho. all of my english classes were DIRE and some of my college humanities classes are#too. florida just is not teaching critical thinking and it's really up to your parents to have you reading & thinking at a young age#also religious spaces help- not perfect but bible study stuff did tend to give kids some critical thinking ability#really depends on the denomination tho sometimes its the opposite

Empowering Young Innovators: The Importance of Arduino and Robotics Classes for Kids in Mumbai
In today's rapidly advancing technological landscape, equipping children with foundational skills in coding and robotics is no longer optional—it's essential. Mumbai is a bustling metropolis known for its educational institutions and technology-driven initiatives, offering numerous opportunities for young minds to explore the world of technology. Among the most effective platforms for this exploration is the Arduino programming language, a versatile and user-friendly tool that introduces kids to the basics of coding and electronics.

Why Arduino Programming?
Arduino Programming is an open-source electronics platform that utilizes simple software and hardware. Its accessibility and ease of use make it an ideal starting point for beginners. Children learn to create interactive electronic objects through hands-on projects, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.
Robotics Classes: Bridging Theory and Practice
While coding provides the theoretical foundation, robotics brings these concepts to life. Robotics classes for kids in Mumbai integrate coding with mechanical design, allowing students to build and program their robots. This interdisciplinary approach enhances critical thinking, teamwork, and innovation.
Technobotics: Pioneering STEM Education
Technobotics is one of Mumbai's leading centres for Arduino and robotics education. With more than 15 years of experience, Technobotics has played a key role in connecting theoretical knowledge with practical application. Their Arduino programming course spans 15 sessions, each lasting 1.5 hours, catering to children aged 10 and above. The curriculum covers various topics, including digital and analogue sensors, wireless communication, and modulation techniques like PWM.
By the end of the course, students not only grasp the fundamentals of Arduino but also develop a mindset geared towards innovation and problem-solving.
The Broader Impact of STEM Education
Involving children in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education through platforms like Arduino and robotics classes fosters a growth mindset. It encourages curiosity, resilience, and a passion for continuous learning. As these young learners navigate challenges and devise solutions, they cultivate indispensable skills in the 21st century. Moreover, early exposure to such disciplines can spark interest in future engineering, computer science, and technology careers.
Conclusion
Incorporating Arduino programming and robotics into children's education is more than just learning to code—it's about preparing them for a future where technology is ubiquitous. Mumbai's vibrant educational ecosystem, with institutions like Technobotics leading the way, provides the perfect environment for nurturing the next generation of innovators. By investing in such programs, we empower our children to not only understand the world around them but also to shape it.
For parents and educators in Mumbai seeking to introduce children to the world of technology, exploring Arduino programming and robotics classes is a step towards fostering a generation of thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers.
