Come What May
@stevetonygames fill for team Future | Square "Laughing" | For @amysnotdeadyet Rated G | 1.2k words | ao3 link
"I never thought I'd be here," Steve confessed. "As a scrawny, sickly kid, nobody would even look at me twice—and that's if a flu didn't wipe me out before I even had the chance to go on a date at all."
That earned some murmurs of sympathy from the small crowd gathered: familiar faces of friends and colleagues Steve had met in the years after the ice.
Steve cleared his throat and looked down at the card in his hands, with words written in a cursive that hadn't been taught in schools in decades. He’d memorized the contents days ago, but he needed something to do with his hands or he'd end up either standing at parade rest or reaching for a shield that wasn't there.
"The war took a lot from me,” Steve continued. “Even if Rebirth gave me the ability to do what I’d always wanted to, it also made me into something different. Because of the serum, I lost my old life and all my friends—or at least I thought I did."
Steve glanced over his shoulder and Bucky gave a small smirk in encouragement: having Steve's back, like he'd always done.
"I woke up in a place where I had nothing but powers that weren't mine to begin with, thinking I'd missed my chance at a normal life and that being Cap had cost me my humanity," Steve said. Then he smiled, finally looking up to meet the eyes of the man in front of him. “But you've always reminded me of who I really am."
Tony was listening curiously and giving Steve all the time he needed to say his piece, even if he'd teased Steve with 'Jesus, how many cards do you have? I'm blaming you if the guests start snoring' the day before. He was dressed in a three-piece suit that he'd had custom-made, the cut matching Steve's suit and their vests and pocket squares color-coded to create one cohesive unit instead of two separate outfits.
Steve appreciated the symbolism in that.
"Ever since I met you, I've never been just Captain America to you,” Steve told Tony. “Whenever we talked or fought together or, hell, even when we argued—especially when we argued—I was allowed to just be Steve. Even if I didn't get your references, even if I was too stubborn to see things your way, you saw past the shield and treated me like an equal. I’m just a kid from Brooklyn and you're a genius, but you still let me lead the team and came to me for advice even when we didn't get along. Well, a murderbot or two notwithstanding."
Steve smiled and Tony mirrored the action, the corners of his eyes crinkling with lines and wrinkles that had become more pronounced for each year that passed.
"You always said I was too good for a world like this. But coming from one of the most compassionate, generous souls I've ever met, that’s the biggest compliment I could ask for," Steve said. "You're my hero, Tony Stark, and there's no greater honor I can think of than getting to spend the rest of my life with you."
Tony cleared his throat and averted his eyes. "Well, if I didn’t possess even less emotional range than Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible, you can be assured I'd be bawling my eyes out right about now."
The crowd chuckled and Steve could see Nat roll her eyes in the front row.
"I've got my own vows right here, but…" Tony frowned at the cards in his hands. "You know what!" He tossed the cards over his shoulder in a dramatic flourish. "I've always been much better at speeches when I'm improvising. Right, Rhodey-bear?"
Tony glanced at Rhodes by his side, who was looking more like an exasperated parent instead of a best man.
“Twenty years and you still won’t read the goddamn cards,” Rhodes deadpanned, yet didn’t look the least bit surprised.
I'm living in the moment!" Tony protested.
Steve could distinctly make out strawberry blonde hair in the front row being buried between well-manicured fingers as Pepper, their self-appointed wedding planner, had yet another Tony-related silent meltdown.
Steve would probably end up giving her half of their wedding presents out of guilt. Organizing a superhero wedding was no small feat.
"Anyway, what I wanted to say was…" Tony turned back to face Steve. "That I wake up every day knowing I don't deserve you."
Steve's stomach dropped. "Tony—"
"But!" Tony held up his finger. "You've somehow managed to convince me that maybe, just maybe, I can occasionally be wrong about things."
Someone—who Steve was pretty sure was Clint—gasped theatrically and Tony quickly gestured to the guests. "Now don't get any ideas! I'm still a genius, and everything I've been wrong about is strictly Steve-related."
Steve huffed a quiet chuckle. Tony turned back to face him, a somewhat manic smile on his face as he kept talking.
"From things like 'he doesn't want me on the team', 'he hates the mod I made to his suit', 'he's a self-righteous asshole'...Okay, that one's partly true—"
Bucky snorted behind Steve and Steve shot a betrayed look his way, though wasn't able to hide his own smile.
"—To things like 'he's not into men', 'okay he is but he'd never want me', 'he says he's serious about us but I give it two months, tops', and…"
Tony paused, then looked at Steve: really looked at him, as if he couldn't quite believe that Steve was actually here.
"...And most recently, 'he'd never marry someone like me'," Tony said.
Steve's expression softened, as did Tony's smile and, God, Steve really couldn't think of anything better than getting to be with him for the rest of their lives.
"...We are getting married, right?" Tony gave a lopsided grin. "Because otherwise, uh, awkward," he stage-whispered to Rhodes.
Rhodes sighed. "Barnes, get the rings before he jet repulsors out of here."
As Bucky scrambled for the rings with a muttered curse, Steve couldn't help but laugh at the situation. Even in the middle of their carefully planned wedding ceremony—they'd really hear it from Pepper later—Tony had the ability to change the atmosphere into something much more relaxed with just a few words.
It was one of the first quirks that had gone from 'annoying' to 'endearing' the more Steve got to know him.
The glint of the rings drew Steve back to the present. He accepted the tiny box of satin carrying red and blue and gold from a metal hand and exchanged smiles with Bucky.
Tony's attention was back on Steve and he peered curiously at the rings, like he wasn’t the one who had been poring hours and hours in his workshop into them, all the while teaching smithing to a clueless Steve.
The officiant—who thankfully didn't seem to mind the vows getting derailed—cleared her throat and proceeded with the ceremony.
It wasn't long before Steve had a perfect ring on his finger and was slipping a slightly more clumsily-made one onto Tony's. Tony smiled brighter than the sun and Steve's vision blurred from tears, his cheeks aching from smiling so much.
Once they were declared husband and husband, Tony didn't bother waiting for permission before stepping close to Steve and leaning up for a kiss.
And as their friends cheered and Tony's grinning mouth was meeting Steve's in an eager kiss, Steve couldn't think of anywhere else he would rather be than right here:
Surrounded by laughter and their friends, kissing the man he loved who he now had the privilege of calling his husband.

No more tears
Stevetonygames 2023 fill for Team Present | Square: Tears | 1194w | fluff stuff
this was meant to be much shorter but a girl got carried away ok enjoy
The pale morning light has filled the room by the time Tony groggily searches for his partner’s body in their bed. An annoyed groan slips out of his mouth as he finds the side of the bed empty, he begrudgingly opens his eyes confirming his solitude in their room. It wasn’t abnormal for him to wake up alone, Steve would often wake up before him to go for his run and usually would come back to stroke his hair until he woke up, or better yet bring up a coffee (and the smell alone would be enough for Tony to fade from his slumber). As annoyed as a sleepy Tony could be, he doesn't think much of it and throws on a soft sweater as he leaves towards the kitchen.
Guess I’ll make my own coffee then.
Tony’s surprised to see Steve sitting at the island, and even more surprised to see him tense up as he hears him enter the room.
“So, here my boyfriend has come to abandon me, leaving me cold and decaffeinated.” he teases dramatically, heading towards the coffee pot to turn it on.
Steve chuckles lightly instantly causing Tony to frown. He hears the rasp and notices the small sniffle, and definitely doesn’t recognise it as Steve’s normal laugh, not even close.
“Hey,” he starts, pulling on his shoulder to get a look at the blond. His heart drops at the sight of red rimmed glossy blue eyes.
Please God, tell me the serum doesn’t work for hayfever he thinks to himself, Steve crying is rare, even when the man hurts he is stubborn to keep himself ‘strong’ and ultimately tearless.
“Hey, what the hell, what’s wrong?” Tony swivels Steve’s chair so the man is fully facing him.
Steve blinks, looking down at the phone clutched in his hand causing the wetness of his eyes to spill over onto his cheeks, he lets out another weak laugh, muffled by the lump in his throat.
This is no laughing matter, Rogers.
“It’s nothing,” he starts, looking up at Tony with a small smile. “Nothing’s wrong, I-”
“Is someone bothering you?” he interrupts, snatching the phone from his hand quickly scanning it.
“Tony, nothing’s happened-”
“What is this?” he asks, brows furrowed with worry. These are texts that appear to be addressed to Tony, though he doesn't remember receiving them. He looks up from the phone at Steve.
He takes his hand and squeezes it to give his boyfriend some comfort as he awaits an answer. God, it kills Tony to see him like this.
“I was clearing the phone and found texts I wrote for you but never sent.” he finally confesses and looks down, tears slipping around his forced smile. Tony recognises it as the one he forces through pain. “You know, when..”
“Yeah..” Tony whispers, giving the text another glance before swallowing the lump in his throat. He puts the phone down on the counter and places his free hand on Steve’s cheek, he wipes away the running tear though it only seems to spread over, leaving his cheek dampened.
Steve leans into his touch with a gentle sigh. “I wanted to reach out, you know..” he murmurs, closing his eyes as if he’s hoping the tears will get the message to stay in. “The timing never felt right, it never felt appropriate.. I didn’t wanna hurt you.” He clenches his jaw, pausing for just a moment. “I missed you so much.”
Tony damn near feels winded by the shakiness of Steve’s voice. “Oh, honey,” he moves to sit on his lap, placing both hands on his face. Steve just wraps his arms around him for security.
“Hey, look at me.” he whispers gently, his thumbs placed on his cheeks, ready to catch and wipe away any tears that have been brewing up behind those blond eyelashes.
“I know I should’ve reached out,” he whispers, still not opening his eyes.
“Steve,”
“I was too scared to send those messages-”
“Look at me.” He nearly demands of him, keeping the softness in his voice.
Steve does, and as predicted the shaky pools in his eyes overflow on to his thumbs. The light peaking through the kitchen blinds cast over his face, his eyes bright and face shiny its almost unnerving seeing him like this, in a state Tony never sees, beautiful yet so fucking painful. A sight that has probably only been seen by few, if ever in this generation. If Steve could help it, he probably wouldn't have let Tony ever see him in this state, it kills him to know the dams have cracked, even more that he’d choose to do it alone.
“We’re here now, aren’t we?” Tony pulls his sleeve over his hand to dab away the wetness on his cheeks. “If you ask me, it all happened the way it was supposed to. I wouldn’t trade the love we have now for anything.” He gives him a warm smile. “It was a bad moment in time for both of us. Stop taking it all on your shoulders,” he runs his fingers through Steve’s hair in a comforting manner. “And stop doing it all on your own.” He kisses his forehead and Steve sighs at the affection.
“I just hate that I ever let you down. I should’ve known- done better.”
“What did I just say?” Tony reminds. “We both could’ve done differently. It was a hard time but it's a part of our story. I know how you feel now, you know how I feel and we love each other strongly for it.” He places a light kiss on his lips. “No more tears now darling, we’re okay. I love you so much, every day I do.”
“I love you too.” he whispers.
“I know,” Tony smiles and caresses his jaw. “Our past will never make me doubt that, alright? We love hard so we fought hard, it's us. We learn together, yeah?”
Steve smiles, genuinely this time and pulls Tony closer. He rests his head against his shoulder as his tears dry. “Yeah.” he eventually agrees. “I’m sorry, I got a bit too much in my feelings there.”
“Don’t ever apologise for that. Just don’t hide it from me next time.” Tony murmurs, playing with his hair. “It’s more of a burden to me that you suffer in silence, especially when it comes to us. Please come to me next time.”
Steve looks up at him. “I’ll try.” His expression genuine as he looks at Tony’s eyes, it will be hard but he will try.
Tony knows it won’t happen overnight, there will probably be more moments where Tony will have to drag it out of him, but this is a start. Opening his arms to him and letting him know he has the space to feel and doesn’t constantly have to be the strong one is a good start. He may have to repeat this, reassure him but it can take as long as he needs, at least Steve knows how much he loves him, every part of him and their history he is in love with, and nothing will break that.
#yes tony is giving princess vibes at the beginning#bc steve treats him like one??#all srs tho constructive criticism is verywelcome#as I wanna get better cuz i love writing its so fun#stevetonygames 2023#stevetonygames#fics#my fic#stony

Seasons of Life
Steve never appreciated the seasons until Tony entered his life.
Finding himself captivated by the enchanting sight of Tony's hair gracefully dancing in the gentle, spring breeze. The warm sunlight casting its golden beams upon Tony's eyes, illuminating the mesmerizing copper hues speckled within. His cheeks flushed rosy from the heat of the day and the trek from the rental cabin.
Tony’s hand firmly clasps his own before he’s led to a tranquil spot overlooking the pond, then is guided down to settle onto the damp grass beneath the shelter of an elm tree. The water rippling and shimmering brilliantly as a family of ducks casually swim by.
“Didn’t really have a chance to prepare a proper meal,” Tony admits, subconsciously rubbing the nape of his neck. “Only managed to pack some cold pizza and a couple beers.”
A faint smile tugs at the corners of Steve’s lips at Tony’s dismal attempt towards a romantic gesture. “Sounds perfectly good to me.”
The dazzling grin he receives is well worth the meager meal.
It’s worth anything.
~*~
With summer’s arrival, they’re afforded a trip to the beach. Allowing Steve to quietly admire the rivulets of water tracing along the contours of Tony’s body. His skin sun-kissed and shiny from poorly applied sunscreen. The undersized, gold and red speedo clearly chosen to scandalize Rhodey—who’s pointedly moved down shore with Pepper—rather than for the sake of fashion sense.
“I chased Jaws away,” Tony teases as he trudges out of the water. “It’s safe to come in now.”
“Oh, really?” Steve automatically plays along, enjoying the banter they’ve mastered over the years. “Did Iron man show up when I wasn’t looking?”
Feigning offense, Tony theatrically presses his hand to his chest. “Why, Cap, are you insinuating I’m weak and helpless?”
“Of course not,” Steve deadpans. “After such an impressive display of strength, surely carrying a frightened, super soldier without the armor would be a piece of cake for you. Wouldn’t it, Shellhead?”
A spark of challenge fleets across Tony’s face, causing Steve to raise his brows expectantly. “Exactly right.” Tony puffs out his chest in show of his determination. “Allow me to demonstrate.”
Later that night, Tony insists to the team the terrible aches from pulled muscles in his arms are due to jellyfish stings. And by morning, Steve ensures the comical sketch of jellyfish lifting dumbbells is placed strategically on the pillow beside Tony’s head.
~*~
Autumn brings an array of color and cooler temperatures. Enticing them to take a walk through the park to admire the changing colors. Leaves crunching underfoot as they stroll along, observing other couples intertwined and lost in their own worlds.
Steve appreciates Tony’s decision to wear the turtleneck sweater he gifted him, but remains concerned by strange discolored veins crawling up Tony’s skin towards his ear.
“Have you ever wondered if this is the only life we get?” Tony asks, apropos nothing, and stops to intently observe the leaves fluttering down.
There’s something oddly melancholy about his demeanor, but Steve’s long since embraced Tony’s vacillating moods.
“Sometimes,” he admits, shifting uncomfortably. “But, who knows?”
Tony swallows, the muscles of his throat visibly straining to do so. “What if we never see each other again?”
Steve blinks, momentarily taken aback by the grim concept. “Then, I guess we’ll have to appreciate it while we have the chance.”
Reaching to cup Tony’s face in his hands, Steve gently rubs a thumb over his cheekbone. Giving Tony a minute to melt into his touch before he leans in, pressing his mouth against slightly chapped lips.
Memorizing the sound of Tony’s appreciative moan as leaves skitter across the ground.
~*~
Tony stands by the window, enthralled by the winter storm and seemingly lost in thought as he sips absently at his hot cocoa.
Steve sets his respective mug onto the side table and moves to join Tony, encircling his shoulders with his arms.
“Are you all right?” Steve wonders against the shell of his ear.
“Always,” Tony responds as if on autopilot, but sinks back against him, letting Steve support his weight.
“Then, what’s on your mind?” Steve rephrases.
“Just wondering if Santa received my letter.”
Steve hums in response. Not exactly liking the dismissive tone, but knowing better than to press.
“What make you think you’re on the nice list this year?” Steve strives to lighten the mood, and smirks at Tony’s scoff.
“I’m always on the nice list,” Tony retorts. Then, corrects himself, “Except for that one time.”
Steve chuckles fondly, ducking down to kiss along the curve of Tony’s neck. Feeling the raised veins against his lips.
“What did you ask for?”
He catches the sharp intake of breath before Tony stiffens.
“Tony?” he starts, quelling the rising panic.
“More time…,” Tony answered at length, voice scarcely audible, “with you.”
Without elaboration, Tony turns in Steve’s embrace, and kisses him with a force Steve hasn’t experienced. Just shy of painful as Tony’s tongue dominates his mouth.
They make love passionately—desperately. The feel of Tony beneath him, his legs wrapped around Steve’s hips, delicious and heavenly.
“I love you,” Tony says breathlessly into Steve’s ear for the first time.
Steve can’t shake the feeling it might also be the last.
~*~
Grey.
The world is encompassed by it.
No more sunshine.
No color.
No warmth.
The offerings at Tony’s grave are the only indication of passing time. Flowers withering and dying to be replaced by a fresh batch. The pictures in the frames fading, steadily erasing Tony’s smile.
Steve never hated the seasons until Tony exited his life.

Not My First Rodeo (An 1872 SteveTony Fic Reclist🤠💫)
This reclist is a fill for the @stevetonygames bingo square "Consequence" and the Resolutions Challenge for Team Future :)
a slow ticking wilderness by @starvels (2.4k, M)
Three weeks ago, Tony burned his hands in his forge. Since then, he's been unable to use them, useless and listless. Relying on the kindness of strangers ain't exactly his expertise. Luckily, Sheriff Steve Rogers has good hands and a heart hale enough to keep offering bits of help and hope to Tony, no matter that he ain't all that good at accepting them.
RATING: Five out of five heart-happy cowboys, 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
What if I told you this was literally the first (The First!!!) 1872 fic I ever read, which may have been a mistake on my part because it simply set the bar too high, devastatingly high, stratospherically high! This fic feels like wrapping yourself up in a warm blanket fresh out of the dryer while you sit by a beautiful, roaring fire and drink a delicious cup of spiced hot cocoa. Please fulfill all your wildest h/c dreams and desires in the embrace of this lovely window into established relationship 1872 stevetony.
To Break the Bridle by @deervsheadlights (25k, M)
If anyone had told Tony a year ago that he would be herding cattle up on some god-forsaken mountain, in deep winter and out of his own free will, he would've laughed in their face. Were they to show him the blond and blue-eyed reason for his sudden lapse of judgement, however, he might've just understood.
RATING: Two cowboys who are frequently secretly very fond of each other + a new appreciation for the pavlovian potential of duck fat, 🤠🤠🦆
Everyone gather round and say thank you deervsheadlights!! Thank you deer for writing the 1872 Brokeback Mountain AU that we have all been begging for since the moment 1872 comics hit the shelves! This fic was another early 1872 find for me and I simply cannot recommend it enough: the slow burn, the hurt comfort, the romance-this fic does it all masterfully.
but come ye back by @s-hylor (1.2k, T)
When the night is cold and the sky is open, Tony goes to talk to the past Sheriff of Timely.
RATING: one broken cowpoke's heart, but the hurt is tempered by the knowledge that the love perseveres on, 💔
If you have yet to heal from the hurt of 1872 Issue 2, then this is the fic for you. This fic is the best deconstruction of emotion following the Sheriff's death that I have read yet, savage in both it's sadness and it catharsis, and I cannot recommend this highly enough.
A Handsome Stranger Called Death by @isozyme & @sheshopelesse (3.5k, M)
Steve Rogers was an optimist, and he had no sense for the limits of one man with a six-shooter and a strong will, but he was canny enough to know that he wasn’t getting any good done as pig food.
RATING: 10/10 shakes of a rattler's tail 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
Close your eyes and imagine a story that combines Western gothic and desert mysticism and monsterfucking and domestic bliss and now open your eyes bc that fic exists and you're looking at it! The prose is gorgeous, the mythology is arresting, and the characterization is stunning. Plus! This fic comes complete with its own podfic, ready for your joint reading & listening pleasures.
Somebody's Darling by @laireshi (12.9k, T)
Steve wasn't always a sheriff, and Tony didn't always spend his days halfway down a bottle. They met long before Timely.
RATING: the best 1872 rom-com of all time, if rom-com was short for Romantic-Commentary on the Inherent Despondency of War
This fic!!!!!! Is wonderful and delivers a years-long sweeping arc of a wartime romance before dropping you off at the front door of 1872 canon. It's such a heartfelt exploration of love blooming amidst the chaos and tragedy of war, of the way two people keep getting drawn back to each other again and again, of second chances and third chances and fourth, all culminating in a freedom both precarious and precious to be found in the West.
The Strangers You Call Friends by Mireille (1.4k, T)
Stark frustrates Sheriff Rogers, but that doesn't mean he wants to see the man drink himself to death. Timely needs a blacksmith, after all.
RATING: two out of two prettiest blue eyes this side of the Mississippi, at least according to the cowboy locked in the Sheriff's cell for tonight 👀
An incredible pre-canon character study from the POV of Timely's favorite Sheriff. I feel as though this fic is so true to canon characterization and setting that it could honestly constitute the first page of an 1872 novelization. You really sink into Steve's mindset and his perspective on not just Tony's perennial drunkenness, but on his duties to the town as a whole.
Say My Name by citsiurtlanu (2.6k, G)
Steve reminds Tony that there's more to him than the war his weapons were used in.
RATING: a whole cowtown who has been irrevocably changed for the better by the love of two men, 🤠💞🫡🤠💞🫡🤠💞🫡🤠💞🫡
A beautiful canon-compliant fic that pulls at the thread of romance hidden in the rough, vibrant fabric of 1872. There's so much tenderness in this story, it aches in the best way :')
Paradise Blue in 1872 by @cowboyhorsegirl (oh hey that's me!) (500w, T)
Steve imagines this is what it feels like to commit blasphemy, looking at Tony Stark.
RATING: Sheriff Rogers' extremely Catholic-coded erection 🤨🤨
It's about!! the wretched devotion of love, the purgatory of the West, the discovery of a new God in the listless eyes of the saloon's resident patron! A bite-sized character & relationship study that slots itself very neatly within the first 5 pages of 1872 Issue 1 that I hope you read & enjoy :)
whistling dixie by @starvels (1.4k, M)
“Well,” Steve says, voice rough. He takes in another of those sharp breaths and when he exhales, Tony feels it like the forge, billowing heat out into his chest. “Mayhap you best keep that dry, Stark.” He sounds like molten metal, like the best slather of butter over a butt of bread, sounds fair peckish for something more than trail gruel and he’s looking at Tony like Tony’s the place he’s gonna get it. Yes, Tony thinks. It is. Take it. Take me.
RATING: one cowboy (me) who is so, so hungry for stew now 🤠🍲
A masterclass in the 'Food as a Metaphor for Love' ao3 tag, I recommend to all who are hungry for a bit of domestic Western romance or a hearty desert stew. At least one of these appetites will be satisfied by the end of the story, I guarantee!
Blacksmith's Hands by @everybodyilovedies (3.3k, E)
Based in Marvel's 1872 Western Universe, where Tony is a blacksmith and Steve is the town Sheriff. Blacksmith Tony hears Sheriff Steve's birth date is coming up, and decides to give him the present he deserves.
RATING: the number one best birthday present Sheriff Rogers has ever received 🤠🎁
The sweetest, tenderest and yet slightly rough around the edges 1872 PWP you will ever see. I adore Steve and Tony's banter in this fic, the dialogue at the beginning feels like it could have been ripped right out of the comic book panels. And!! There is simply nothing more delightful than the simple intimacy of going from "Stark" and "Sheriff" to "Tony" and "Steve" <3
Unseen, Unheard by @oluka (1k, M)
Tony and Steve have a furtive encounter. Tony wishes they could have more.
RATING: a Sheriff rougher to ride and wilder to tame than a stallion🐎
I could scream forever!!! about the parallels in this story between Tony's alcoholism and his addiction to Steve! The tug-of-war push and pull of their facsimile of a relationship, the hurt that Steve's internal shame over wanting a man inflicts on both him and Tony, the habitual way that Tony debases himself to play up the drunken act and protect him and Steve from any prying eyes. This fic does a truly masterful job of imagining what intimate encounters between Steve and Tony may have looked like within the real confines of the American West.
Going Blacksmithing by @bladeofthenebula27 (1.5k, T)
Blacksmithing only brings in so much money in a small town like Timely, so Tony has to make a little extra money through less respectable means. The Sheriff doesn't approve.
RATING: the prettiest cowpoke you ever did see 🥰🤠
Genderfuck!Tony with a side of possessive Steve all in the year of 1872, what more could one possibly want? There's absolutely nothing more that I love across the multiverse than SteveTony getting to explore their femininity, and this fic brings that dynamic to 1872 absolutely perfectly! :D
BONUS!!!
1872 Meta/Propaganda by @ghosthan
RATING: one out of one new, lifelong 1872 fan (me! 🤠)
An INCREDIBLE primer on the 1872-niverse, including panel screenshots as well as comparisons to 616 characterizations and backstories! I can personally say that this 1872 propaganda is extremely effective (after all, it convinced me to read!!), and gives you juuuust enough information on 1872 to acquaint you with the setting, the characters, and the dynamics at play without simply spoiling the series. In my opinion, this is a highly underrated resource for anyone interested in trying 1872 out, but unsure what to expect.

@stevetonygames team Future | "Money" | 310 words | Avengers Assemble
"Oh, come on!"
Tony grinned. "Pay up, Rogers."
"This is extortion," Steve grumbled.
"Hey now, this is my property," Tony said. "Nobody forced you to be here."
"You're saying that like I had a choice," Steve spat. "But that's just how the world works, isn't it? The rich get richer, the poor get poorer."
Tony snorted. "Well, if you invested earlier…"
"I couldn't afford to because of your stupid taxes—"
"Jesus, Cap, it's just Monopoly," Clint groaned. "Pay the damn fake dollars and get on with it."
"Yes, make haste, friend!" Thor said. "I hope to purchase another railroad!"
"Hulk smash puny board!" the Hulk roared.
Tony saw Steve's neck flush as he turned to their friends.
"Uh…sorry, guys," Steve said.
Natasha looked up from where she'd been intently eyeing the board and smiled. "Don't worry about it."
"Do worry about it," Sam groaned, half-slumped over the coffee table. "We've been playing for two hours. Please just let Tony win and put me out of my misery."
"See? The people have spoken!" Tony said, pointing at Sam.
"Oh, hell no," Clint said. "Tasha and I are just getting started."
"What was our Monopoly record? Fourteen hours?" Natasha said.
"Okay, fine!" Steve said, slapping the remainder of his fake money on the table. "Here's all I have. Enjoy," he said, glaring at Tony.
"Why thank you very much!" Tony grinned victoriously and scooped up the bills.
"Thor, it's your turn," Sam said.
While the round continued, Steve huffed and leaned back against the couch, his shoulder bumping into Tony's. Tony glanced over just to see Captain America pouting like a child.
"It's okay, Cap," Tony said, patting Steve's hand. "I'll build another hotel in your honor."
"You're sleeping on the couch tonight," Steve grumbled.
Tony merely laughed and intertwined their fingers, his thumb rubbing over Steve's wedding band. "Of course, darling."

You Go Up Instead of Down [FANART] by MissionCritical
Summary:
This is set in the universe of the 1966 Marvel Superheroes cartoons (Earth-600026). Only two years ago, Iron Man and the original Avengers discovered Steve, frozen and floating in the Arctic Ocean, and rescued him. It's been rough for Steve, adjusting to this new world, but he has a lot of support -- from two people in particular. Tony Stark is brilliant, handsome, and a generous benefactor to the team. He's even given Steve a place to live in his own actual mansion! Steve doesn't really understand why, but it's clear Mr. Stark is good man, devoted to helping the Avengers. And then there's Iron Man, who has quickly become Steve's best friend, Iron Man is brave, and determined, and just a terrific teammate. He's given Steve the thrilling experience of flying into battle by riding on his back! And in that gleaming suit of armor, Iron Man always has Steve's back. Steve is Iron Man's biggest fan.
Note:
a delightful lil glimpse into a fun, small universe, this edit is such a delight to experience! we all need a little more flying steve in our lives, don't we?

go forth: stevetony beans, greens, potatoes, you name it! and give these treats the resounding kudos/comment/retweet/reblog chomps they deserve!

Stevetonygames fill for Team Present | square: plans | 200w | double drabble
Lovedrunk
"I know you don't care much for it being grand, so I've looked up multiple options," Tony says flicking through different venues on screen as he's sat between Steve's legs on their bed. "But I've put a little mark here on my personal favourites." He says zooming into one "Like, look at this one gorgeous."
Steve's hiding his stupid grin against Tony's neck, leaving light kisses there as he speaks.
"Steve," he whines
"I'm listenin', I'm listenin'." He says but continues to leave kisses on his neck.
Tony crosses his arms "Okay then, which one do you like so far?"
"The one you like most." He says as his lips reach his jaw
"Ha. Good one." Tony rolls his eyes. "You know you can't just put your feet up after proposing like job's done."
Steve holds him closer to his chest, taking his hand and running his thumb over the engagement ring. "All my job is now is to give you whatever you want, whatever makes you happy."
A smile manages to break through Tony's frustration and he hums at the affection. "Well, Mr Rogers," he murmurs then turns to peck his lips. "Just some input will do for now."
#writing drabbles r such a challenge hoe do yall do it#this took me stupidly long to finish#look at me being more active#stevetonygames 2023#my fic#stony
