I think the best case for persona au would be a p4 or p5 awakening - yeah it's not fun to watch someone rip their face off and breaking a card is tame, but I think forcing themselves to the brink of death would be bad for the chains mental health

but what I'm curious about is if players a wild card or not, it could make them a Mary Sue sure

wild!player brings the idea of the chain being their confidants, and them being able to go to the velvet room - also monsters could be convinced to become persona if Lu exists due to cognitive pscience, plus you can excuse personas not fitting everyone who reads it

I suppose for "P4" you meant "P3"! But yes, that would be totally bad for the chains' mental health. Since this is a LoZ is also a medieval setting, guns are non-existent but their instinct would keep eyeing the replica armfire with suspicion. The moment you explain it they'd be lookin' at you and the evoker with worry. And although P4 seems to be more tame, I can think of a few things to why it could also impact the story ☆~(ゝᴗ ∂）

Since monsters in the LoZ world are mostly non-verbal and prefer to speak with their weapons, forming a contract or even trying to negotiate is rather a low possibility, so here is the break of mary-sueness!

It would take a special soul to form a contract with. Likely, those who are willing to communicate.

Easy examples are kind spirits like fairies (from the Great Fairy herself even!) or restless spirits that Reader can help along the way

bonus is this method of contract quickly gives throws Time back when he was in Termina.

So, now we have a Wildcard!Reader who have a kind of third-eye, can form contract and could summon a spirit of a deity, weakened but can still summon ÒuÓ)

As for the velvet room, this would depend on the Reader's unconscious mind since the room represents their life situation and why they ended up in Hyrule's world in the first place. Another "what if…" unless I find a fitting setting for how it'll be represented.

Yosuke and Teddrick Hanamura, I am going to miss you idiots.

I have written an entire post on the tragedy of Yosuke. He is, like Chie, very much a work in progress. You can look at the arc of his character like a lobbed ball and guess his eventual trajectory and landing. I hope for Yosuke, it will be a soft one. I fear instead he will bust an ankle on impact and cry about it, but he'll be okay.

Also someone please wife this man before he winds up married to some woman in the most agonizing comphet marriage of all time. Yosuke is a homosexual and by god he needs a boyfriend.

Character Accuracy to Their Arcana: ZEEEEEERO. He's a High Priestess.

aaaaaaaand this is the second time i cried playing P4G, the first being Kanji's Max SLink scene. Oh my god the tears.

This fucking character should be nothing by irritation. On paper, on script, Teddie is annoying and too much to handle and overbearing (ha). But like, Sam Riegel is the fucking all-star winner of the entire cast imo for making Teddie work. I have been continuously baffled by how much I adore this mascot bear, but his story was so genuinely moving and affecting, he's my second favorite character in the game. The fucking PATHOS.

I am so happy that Teddie made himself into a real boy. If he didn't, Nanako wouldn't have made it. The world is richer for his self-decided presence in it.

Character Accuracy to Their Arcana: 12 out of 10, it's immaculate from start to finish.

I have such mixed emotions on Naoto.

Going into this game, Naoto was the character I feared the most. There is a lot of right-minded anger about how Naoto is handled by the game. As I said before, I tempered my expectations dramatically for playing.

Naoto disappointed me but not because the Gender Thing. With the clarity of hindsight and some context from a trusted source, I get what they were going for with Naoto. But while they were always a fucking gem in the MSQ and group scenes, Naoto's SLink was one of the weakest in the game. I think that at some point, the writers (or someone who had say over the writing, lbr) got gunshy around what they created with Naoto, and as soon as he joins the party, it feels like all the interesting parts of his set-up are shelved.

Which I don't know which I would prefer honestly? A solid attempt at dealing with Naoto And Gender that winds up being a huge fuckup, or this defanged version of a character arc, where all Naoto's potential is visible in the MSQ but just goes poof in every other scene.

That said, her fashion is INCREDIBLE and she gave us multiple incredible moments in the story. Walking out on the beauty pageant and still winning? King shit.

Character Accuracy to Their Arcana: Difficult to say since so much of Naoto's arc feels completely aborted. 4 out of 10 for what was actually on the screen canonically.

I don't have much to say for Yumi! Except in her final scene she sasses Reverie for running away from being her boyfriend, which is funny. ALSO SHE SAYS SHE'S GOING TO GO INTO POLITICS AND I LITERALLY SAID THAT WHEN WE FIRST MET, THAT SHE'D BE GREAT IN POLITICS? Holy shit what a called shot, go me.

But Yumi unfortunately innately suffers from being a Sun arcana after the shocking good and profound P3P Sun Slink. It was an impossible act to follow. She's fun tho! I liked her!

Character Accuracy to Their Arcana: eh. 3 out of 10. sorry.

God what a roller coaster of a pair.

Dojima was frankly a piece of shit for a LOT of this game, albeit a well-meaning one. The moment he sent Reverie after a crying Nanako rather than going himself really truly stressed my dedication to completing his SLink, I wanted to bail so badly. But his portrayal in the game is deeply sympathetic. The game is highly aware he's a fucking mess and a shit father, and it gives him space to become better. Which I like better than a hopeless case. It was real touch and go there for a while though.

Nanako really was the glue that held the plot together, wasn't she. It was kind of heavy-handed. Like, I didn't know what was going to happen to Nanako, but I did call very early that something was going to happen to her, to propel the plot. As this game's Justice Child, she's much weaker than Ken honestly and as much as it pains me to say, she should have been Temperance. There is very little judgement passed by her, there is no great clarity from her. She's a child, and she's wronged and neglected, and those things get better, but there is no recourse.

(Which is okay with me as a rehabilitationist myself.)

Character Accuracy to Their Arcana: VERY LOW FOR BOTH TBH. 2 out of 10. Dojima and the Fox should have swapped, I am dead serious.

we same the same favorite arcana's characters, actually, and in the same order! julian is the loml and is the one whose personality i liked more, but there's something so angsty about asra. wdym you gave part of your heart for me, young man? do you want us to marry?

and with obey me my favorite character varied a lot depending on the time, but i think the one that takes the crown is mammon. if i have a type no i don't. and my favorites side characters were simeon and solomon!

tear of themis was a fun ride, but it has the same downsides as any other gacha game so i got burned out jakdjsjd the characters were so amazing tho, but every time i think about downloading it again i get so lazy

Mammon was not my favorite but his neediness, huffiness, and denial of it was so cute. Also very nice character design he was just so dang pretty in both his demon and non demon form.

Yeah there is a reason I prefer the cybird ikemen series games that are more chapter ticket based and gacha is strictly for art with no added content. Some of these apps load up so many different tasks and minigames and it gets to be too much. Like I want to read a story basically, not be responsible for so many dailies 🥲 and they try to get you with fomo so hard with the added content with the gacha cards like oof.

Kind of want to bring back the little fairy arcana because you ignited a new love for them in me.

I'll start with Portia, she's a little beautiful minx of a fairy who stumbled upon your bedroom window open and stepped inside. She saw you were stood in front of a mirror, fixing yourself up and drying after nice hot shower. She was cautious and after you left the room she flew to a desk where she saw all kinds of lotions of candles and soaps. The smells were pretty. You walked back in to find the fairy with her nose deep in your moisturisers, fingers sticking into it. Soon, you learned she liked to get pampered and so you bought a small barbie brush. Portia liked getting her hair brushed by you and kissing the large pads of your finger tips when they get close to her lips. She likes to design her own clothes but also likes to sit down and watch you with your big sewing machine make small stuff for her. She tries them all out and gives you a little twirl in her dresses and skirts and scarves, her wings fluttering with her joy. She's always happy to sit in a little tea cup with warm water and look up from the edge of the cup at you where your warming up some more water just in case she asks for it, and tells you all her newest adventures out in your garden collecting little berries and newest flower petals and the beasts!!(insects) she's fought off bravely protecting your garden. With her I think it is more like owning a tiny cat that can fly, talk, and has thumbs so she can get into more trouble.

Muriel is soft and small and baby!! In personality anyways. He's shy and not much of a talker at first. I think had the outside world not been too harsh on him he would have left the first day you welcomed him into your home, it's just because he's a loner and his anxieties tell him to leave and avoid contact. But the sooner he sees your sweet and caring and will give him the space he needs he wouldn't mind staying for longer periods. I like to think he's a cuddler! His wings are tired and he can't fly too much distance so he's happy to be on your arm, held against your chest, and moved from one table to a counter or a bed. Speaking of bed, he likes to sleep on the pillow next to your head, you give him a wide berth (no squishing the soft boy) and offer him your hand to hug and cuddle and sleep with. He likes the clothes you make for him because their soft and not itchy and warm, unlike his tattered clothes. He likes your cooking best. He sits on the counter and watches you hum as you dance around the kitchen and cook. He wants to help tho, so you give him little jobs like peeling an onion or stirring the soup, small stuff like that. Another thing he'd do is prolly go out and collect nuts. He's artistic, so he'll find a sharp rock small enough for his hands to wield and do you small pictures in it and offer it to you. You've got a little box filled with his nuts that you keep admiring.

Lucio is as daring as they come. I think he'd be scared and intimidated at first because you're so big and his little sword is like a needle! How will he slay a beast like you? So he zips around, tries to hide, watches your confusion and almost cackles at it. But you had been making cookies!! The smell I wafting out of the kitchen and it catches the little blonde fairies attention. While there is a threat?! He zips out from his hiding spot and towards the smell where he finds the tray of cookies and reaches to grab one. You watch him from the door, still confused, but you find him trying to munch a cookie almost half his size and its endearing! You encourage him to have more and hes a bit baffled at first. He keeps coming round to see if you made cookies and you chat for a bit and later on he's decided he won't slay you. What beast that makes cookies this good deserves to be slain?! Lucio prefers his own clothing because he assumes his fashion senses are much better than yours, so you settle for letting him give you descriptions of colours and shapes of what he wants and you make them for him. He nearly cries at first. They're soft and warm and he can move easily in them! And you even made adjustments for where his metal arm is! Lucio likes to take baths in the tub with you, he thinks it's more intimate that way. He loves pressing his forehead to yours, giggling at how big you are in front of him, loves to kiss your nose and hug your face. It's the prettiest part of you, he says.

Nadia is weary of the giant living nearby but she's curious to the large ticking clock in your living room. You know, the one that has a little door that opens and a little bird thrusts out of it every once in a while and then flies back in? Yeah, that. She's always been interested in tinkering and making things and something like that! She wants to learn how to make one herself. Tho to do so, she needs to examine it herself right? So she's in the house when you leave it and she's zipping up and down and around the clock, her large wings fluttering behind her as she tries to make sense of the clock and how it's made. She had sat outside and studied when the bird comes out and is fairly confident it's not due to come out till much later so she's ready to pry open those little doors and take a look inside. And she does, with a little difficulty, Nadia has the doors open and she's leaning inside. The front door opens and you come in, cursing a little because you had forgot your phone on the living room coffee table. And that's that's you find the little fairy half way into your clock. She stops and looks back at you, as you look back at her, and then leans out, looking a little embaresed. She appologises to you and you're a little shocked to hear that. Well, your friend can wait a little longer, you guessed. Nadia explains her wonder for the clock and you pull your phone out to show her online blueprints. She's shocked and very excited. Now she asks if she could pry open your phone. After that, the little fairy comes back fairly often to tinker on your desk and you provide little things she needs to follow the blueprints and create little or big mechanical objects. You love watching her work. She's so happy. And after shes done her work and got soiled and dirty from her tinkering you give her a bath. Large fingers brushing over soft smooth skin and through luxurious hair. She loves this part with you better than anything. Being taken care of and then later being fed, she does her best to carry sizeable pieces up to your mouth because if she's eating smth your eating smth too. She brings you some of her food from home too. She had tried to get the kitchen staff to bake something big enough to fit the size of your palm. It worked! But it was hard carrying it over to your window from the little wagon she had made to carry it so she settled on going inside to grab you so you can go out and have your treat. Nadia's treat was lovely.

Asra I like to think never cared for how "dangerous" humans are. He saw a pretty one out in a garden and flew over to introduce himself. You were shocked to see the tiny fairy flirting with you, a little flustered, but you were laughing and soon flirting back, watching the fairy grow flustered and smirking at the reaction. Asra is not lazy but he likes to rrlax and take lots of naps and really who doesnt? He likes to relax near you where you are tidying your garden, make little comments about how kind and nurtruing you are to the plants. Hie element is water so he sometimes helps you keep your soil moist and fresh for the plants and takes some of the excess water out. When youre under a tree, reading, writing drawing etc he's on your stomach, laying stretched out like a starfish, and happily napping away. He brings you little tulips amd dandelions from outside, from other peoples gardens, and happily offers it to you along with mlre flirtations. It leads to him giggling as you press kisses on his little face and chest, you need to reward him for his romanticisim. He's happy to cook with you and sing and eat and do anything as long as its with you, hes enamoured by you and you him.

Julian is scared of humans. The stories he's heard have made him swear not to go near one. But after a nasty fight with a hornet he is wounded, far from home and unable to fly the distance. Your window was open and there's a warm fire in the hearth where outside its cold and harsh winter. He draws in wearily, looking around to see if a human is here. And when he doesn't see one, he finds himself laying on a cushion on the couch facing the fire and in his tired and injured state, he easily falls asleep. You walk into the living room a little later to douse the fire before you go to bed when you notice something red and black on your blue pillow and come close to find a fairy! The baby is fast asleep and pulling a cloak over a curled long body. Your heart beats at the adorable sight and you decide to close the window and turn on the heater instead. But when you douse the fire and the smell rises, Julian stirs awake at the nasty scent and is screeching as he scrambles to get up and fly away at the sight of you. He attempts but falls back down, his wing too hurt. But your near him in a second, speaking softly and helping him! He's weary but he's too weak and your touch is so warm. He let's you take him in your hand up and off the bathroom where your first aid kit is in. You're cleaning his wounds and rubbing something that he vaguely recognises as medicinal and he's relaxing. You're really helping him? You are. Next you offer him his place on the pillow and lend him a warm, small cloth to act like a blanket. He accepts the offer easily. After this, he's in your home almost every other day. He's testing you for your medical expertise because what you did healed his wing way too quickly its like magic! He's sitting next to you as you read your books out loud and he's helping you with your projects as best as he can. He likes your touches and has any excuse to have a finger against his chest or on his arm, his face he's able to coerce you. He likes rubbing his nose against your fingertips. Another place he likes is being in the palm of your hand. He lays back, wings fluttering healthily, and grabs your fingers to close around his thin body and happily snuggles against your thumb. He's not allowed to help you in the kitchen anymore after he had almost tripped and fell in boiling water, also his "help" had ruined many dishes, so he now settles for siting on the counter and wathing you cook. He tells you about his travels and his adventures, exaggerates his injury and the battle with the feisty hornet the day you had met. But you only laugh and go along with his stories. He's happy with you. Loves your warm cuddles and food and love. He's happy the stories he's ears were so wrong!!

🌌 - What fandoms are you in? 👀👀

Right now literally just the Arcana, phahah, because of my studies and investment into my MCs I don't really have the energy for others atm.

Actually, I don't think I've ever been as active in other fandoms as I am with the Arcana. Unless you count Flight Rising, I suppose, though I didn't do much writing/art for it. I still play FR a bit, but don't interact with the fandom much.

Aside from those two, there are Dragon Age and Mass Effect, I return to them once in a while, mostly hanging out on Discord servers. A while ago I've been in Assassin's Creed and Prototype fandoms, but I abandoned them both a bit after the release of AC III. Might replay AC II someday tho, that trilogy was great.

Most of the time I prefer to enjoy games/series by myself and maybe look at some fanworks afterwards and gush about them with a friend or two.

* He’s a little baffled by that, but MC is quick to change the topic to Yoosung’s beloved LOLOL, and he’s sufficiently distracted to let the matter slide in the meantime.

* It’s only after he and MC meet at the party, only after they start dating and spending much more time together that he understands just what kind of a gamer MC really is.

* “MC! Stop paying attention to your fake boyfriend and come hug me! Me! Flesh and bone, right here!” he groans, patting at his chest and belly with a big sad pout-and really, MC you heartless fiend, how can you ignore those big puppy eyes in favor of an online hottie on your laptop?!

* Eventually Zen eases into the idea, though not entirely-and if he catches MC playing any game like that, he’ll always urge them to go for the character that most resembles himself lmao

JAEHEE:

* She really doesn’t see the appeal-and doesn’t really have much of a reaction when MC tells her of their hobby. 

*She’s interested to learn of what MC enjoys in their free time, and she’s content to spend some time lounging around on the couch with them, her watching Zen’s musical whilst MC plays on their phone or laptop, and she’ll occasionally look to MC’s screen, offer commentary on the characters, but that’s pretty much it

* Until one day....MC discovers a Zen dating fan game.

* They figure Jaehee will be thrilled to see this, that she’ll want to play this right away! So they waste no time in showing it to them-the plot is fairly good and the art is great, so they know it’s a promising game...

* ...but Jaehee doesn’t seem all that interested. She shakes her head when MC offers her their phone, pushing it back to MC.

* “Thank you, but I’ve already seen this game before-playing as Zen’s lover feels weird, more so when he’s a dear friend. If you’d like to play it you’re free to do so though....” she lowered her head at that last bit, biting her lip. 

* With a bit of coaxing and a chin tilt so she’d look MC in the eye, Jaehee admitted her fear. “W-what if after playing this game you fall in love with Zen?! Of course I had no such fear with all the other games you play, they’re fake, but this is real and it’s Zen and-”

* MC had to kiss Jaehee to shush her, the phone all but forgotten, the game still gleaming on the screen. 

* “Let’s never play that game, ok? Neither of us has any use for it. I love you, and only you” MC whispered on Jaehee’s lips-and that was all the confirmation Jaehee needed.

* “So....MC you enjoy playing as someone else’s significant other?”    “I mean...kind of but not really?”    “I see.”

* The conversation was as awkward as you can imagine-MC had been giggling at something a character had said while playing on their phone, and Jumin asked what they were laughing about, so they answered honestly-and that’s how they ended up here, sitting across each other, MC’s phone in the middle of the two on the dining table, the rich-dude-character still shining on the screen, his brooding expression perfectly matching Jumin’s.

* “Is there anything you feel is lacking from our relationship, that these games provide instead?” Jumin asked, nodding down to MC’s phone.

* “No! No, not at all-Jumin, these are just games, and these are simply characters. I enjoy playing the games, and I like seeing well-written characters, but that’s as far as my exchange with them goes. You-you’re here. You’re with me, and we’re together. I love you, and no game can change this or take that away.”

* And they would-it’d take a lot of trial and error but they’d reach a point in Seven’s game where there’d be a blank screen and his own voice, simply telling MC how much he loves them, how he’d do anything to see their smile and how their every action brightens up his day. It’s short and simple, but enough to make MC’s heart melt, and make them run to Seven’s desk to jump in his arms and kiss him.

* Also he’s a total sucker for blushy innocent characters that can’t reckon danger if it were to punch them in the face, wAnna guess whY?

* He won’t really play otome games on his own, but he’ll sit with MC on his lap, his head resting on their shoulder as he helps them pick dialogue options (the best, cutest option, always-this man can’t be mean even to a fictional character, never)

* His favorite seem to be the overly sarcastic, blunt characters that seem to want nothing to do with the main character-MC questioned him about it once, asking him if he’s a masochist or something, but he gave them such an innocent look they just dropped the subject without much thought.

* Saeran grumbled under his breath, a blush spreading on his cheek. “It’s not like I really knew what these games were at the time...I just took a look at your search history, saw a lot of that ‘otome’ or whatever and made up a rouse based off of it. I didn’t know you’re that invested in them!”

* MC laughed at his obvious confusion, how he looked to MC’s screen, a desktop folder full of otome games open on their screen and glaring back at them. He pouted, furrowing his brow.

* “Wait but-you’re not like-you like me right?”

* MC rolled their eyes. He was slowly getting over his insecurities, sure, but there was still a long way to go.

* They leaned in close and kissed him, a quick peck on the lips before they leaned back, looking to their computer screen. “I could delete all these if it’d make you feel better. I love you. Only you.” they shrugged.

* Saeran’s reddened face was adorable, the way his breath hitched in his throat, his hands trembing as he came to rest his fingers over MC’s wrist. 

* “N-no it’s-it’s okay, I trust you. I um-I love you too.”

* He’s not a fan of otome games, especially not with the connnotations they have for him, but well, if his beloved likes them...he doesn’t mind building a proper game for them.
