i went to go get breakfast with my best friend today and they were like “god youre way more fun to hang out with than (old ex best friend i stopped talking to because theyre dating my ex boyfriend fresh out the relationship)” and i was like LOL YEAH its because i have a personality outside of discord and shitty gacha games (genshin) and they started laughing so hard i am so glad i get to be a hater with my friend LOL

So, FlightTraining question(the StillFriends AU): Aldera still tries to make Katsuki their golden boy. Katsuki isn’t interested, because they keep fucking with his best friend. He and Izuku are both "training" to be heroes/for when Izuku "finally gets a Quirk". What would Aldera's response be? How long are these kid's detention records? Mimi is struggling to find a response that seems believable, but doesn’t end in "expulsion."

Assuming they still try to get Katsuki as their golden child instead of giving up on him and framing him as 'Villainous':

I think it'd be best to have an escalation as they get older. They don't come right out the gate with the most horrible shit.

So early on, it's just. Treating Katsuki as so Heroic and Admirable for 'taking pity on such a student'. But with kinda that air of talking to a kid who's a little too old to believe in Santa Claus, ya know? Like a 'yep I'm sure that's nice dear'.

Later it's more annoyed like. "Come on. Really? Aren't you tired of this? It's not going to happen!"

By the time of like, late middle school, it's turned more bluntly into 'he's holding you back, he's not worth it, you should just leave him, etc.', with the more blunt encouragement for other students to bully Izuku and peer-pressure Katsuki.

A lot of the detention record stuff is also going to be with the whole playing favorites. If Izuku fights back, he'd get detention. But if Katsuki fights back on his behalf, the teachers let it slide. So the two get good at sticking together so that if someone tries some shit, even if they both fight back, they can lie and say it was just Katsuki. And ofc it works because 1.) the teachers let Katsuki do whatever and 2.) no one wants to admit they got their ass kicked by the 'useless child'.

Swinging to other students though: Some of them would notice this dynamic more. The fact that the teachers are in the wrong and the double standards with the two. So Izuku and Katsuki would have more classmates on their side, who can also help fight back and cover for Izuku.

My friend Kate Nevin gave me this card on my 40th birthday, over 26 years ago. My daughter will be 40 this year. Kate and I both enjoyed being Aquarians. She died from lung cancer and a stroke just as I started studying acupuncture, twenty years ago. Time is so elastic. A fun house mirror. She is so alive in my heart/mind. I remember well the day she gave this to me. We were in the little second (or third?) floor apartment on Main Street where she lived with baby Hannah. She was so so so happy to be a mom.
