#stim headcanon

my question has two parts: how do you think lanzhu stims, and how do you think rina stims?

This has taken a while to complete sorry!

Lanzhu:

For general stims: She's got days where she is the most subtle stimmer ever and will only stim by doing typical idol things (ie dancing/singing, feeling different fabrics of outfits, ect) other days she is a very loud and physical stimmer, vocal stims, flappy hands and a lot of other body stims that can (and do) disturb those around her.

As for GIF types:

I think she'd be somewhat of a 'classic' GIF enjoyer (especially slime and glitter) but I also think she'd love GIF's that tie into her culture, especially when she feels homesick. Embroidery, anything royalty themed, and probably GIF's of herself are also good. I also think she likes stims in red and gold her image color (rose gold).

Rina

For general stims: I don't think Rina knew how to stim ngl, I think Ai taught her to let go of her fears around being judged. When she does stim I think it's with technology, textures (especially when stroking the cat that lives on the Njigasaki campus), and (once she gets more comfortable) hand stims.

As for GIF types:

Technology (especially the futuristic types), old web related stims, cats, lights (specifically penlights), I also think she's a vocaloid fan so the live concert models. OH and I couldn't include this but furry stims, I love the headcanon that Rina is a furry.

I like to think Hiccup has whole 'conversations' with Toothless that are essentially incomprehensible to anyone but them (they consist of little human language–mostly draconic noises and body language as well as signals/cues specific to Hiccup and Toothless) the other riders are used to it at this point, but a lot of people are very much not and find it incredibly confusing.

Its started a lot of rumors of Hiccup being some 'dragon whisperer' that can actually speak to and command them and the other riders tease him about it relentlessly because he despises the rumors and always tries to correct them. Like every time they're brought up he'll say something along the lines of "No. If u actually pay attention to and connect with them, adapting to their way of communication isn't hard. I don't actually speak with them ur just not observant enough" and is constantly ignored

June walked into the main room to find Ratchet staring at various humam anatomy diagrams displayed through the monitors.

Bones, muscles, nerves, etc.

All of them focused sorely on the arms, wrists, and hands.

"Doing some human research, Ratchet?"

The autobot hums in affirmation.

"I believe Rafael's arms to be damaged. I'm researching possible treatment."

"What!? Raf is hurt?! What happened? Where is he?"

"Relax, he's not injured, just damaged. I suspect it is either an old injury acting up or poorly maintenance."

"He shouldn't have any old injury like that, I believe. Is he in pain?"

"No to my knowledge. But I've seen him manually recalibrate his servos way too often for it to be healthy."

June blinks, confused.

"Recalibrate his servos?"

Ratchet scoffs. "You know, when he," Ratchet holds his hands in front of his body, and after a slight pause, he flaps them in a quick (and loud) motion "does this. If Rafael was a bot, the only reason to do that would be to loosen up rusted joints and recalibrate his motors. It's not a particularly bad habit, but Rafael does it multiple times a day. His joints, human or not, should NOT de-align so fast. Something is clearly wrong, so -"

"Ratchet." June interrupted, sounding relieved.

"Raf's arms aren't damaged. He's just stimming."

Ratchet resets his optics, baffled. "What's stimming?"

Later that night, Ratchet finds himself working side to side with Optimus on the main console.

"I learned something new about humans today."

"Oh?" Optimus intoned, optics still focusing on his work, but voicing his curiosity.

"You know that thing Bee does, where his doorwings will flap in place when he comes back from a mission to find Rafael in the base? Or how Smokescreen's wheels start spinning when Ultra Magnus makes him stay in place too long for a lecture?"

The way your headlights would start blinking in sync with your voice, as you excitedly explained to me a new document you found in the archives, before you trained yourself out of it, because it was unsightful of a Prime.

"Turns out humans have a word for it. They call it stimming."

Optimus eyes brighten with interest. And as he starts babling theories about possible evolutionary needs for this stimming (a release of excess energy caused by low activity? or perhaps a smaller body than usual, or maybe it had nothing to do with energy and was instead a way to signal other nearby humans about their emotional state?) Ratchet couldn't help but steal a glance towards the Prime's headlights.

He couldn't help but feel disappointed to see them completely dark all through his tirade.

🐝 age appropriate? yes! tangled is rated PG in most places as some scenes are a little creepy or violent but overall it is a very tame movie and it's disney so.... i'd say absoloutely!!

🌻 note: rapunzel is a perma-regressor to me (toddler to young child) and flynn/eugene is her carer (pascal babysits her and used to be her caregiver!!) flynn has to keep an eye on her because she has a habit of getting distratced and running away if she sees anything interesting, he has spent ages looking for her just to find her cuddling maximus once. she's very polite and sweet but extremely clumsy and often needs help readjusting her crown and dress after tripping. rapunzel is great at baking but flynn isn't so when they're baking together it's mostly just her ordering him around because he won't let her use any knives or touch the stove but he has no clue what he's doing :3.

Leviathan and Mammon both say your name as a vocal stim. While Levi is too shy to do it loud and near people, Mammon doesn't hide it at all. unless you're near him. then he'll deny everything.

(some of these might be implied canon or close to canon but idk im just hyperfocused on reid and i gotta yap about him)

okay, so this may be a completely inconsequential thing that i'm reading entirely too much into, but... you ever notice how during stressful, emotional, or awkward moments, Ragatha will kinda... do these things with her hands/arms? like she'll fidget with her hands, rub her arm, hug herself, etc...?

it's kinda giving "self-soothing stimming" to me. as an autistic person, i sometimes do similar things with my arms when things are stressful or awkward.

like in this scene, after they return to the Candy Kingdom and Princess Loo is congratulating them. yeah, the ordeal is over, and Ragatha's smiling, but her nerves are very likely still frazzled from it all and this is her way of calming herself.

and of course she does something similar while she's giving her eulogy at Kaufmo's Funeral...

again i'm probably reading entirely too much into it, but this is giving off the vibes of a self-soothing stim she's developed to help her deal with everything she's dealing with and suppressing.

I don't think Hiccup can actually fully understand dragons (they don't really have a clear, learnable language. mainly communication through a range of sounds and body language), but his familiarity with Toothless' noises and mannerisms, and Hiccup's habit of mimicking them, has helped him understand the gist of what most dragons are trying to communicate and he often responds in kind. Sometimes he doesn't even realize when he's doing it and wonders why people are giving him such strange looks.

wolverine head canons because i love him:

his go to nickname for you is 100% kid. even before he became your caregiver, he's whipping that name out on the regular

playing with and interacting with wild animals whenever it's possible. talking to a deer through the gates of the estate, petting a stray dog in a parking lot, making noises at cows as you drive past them

he does that thing where he stands in front of your seat and pats his leg and you have to raise your leg to rest it on his thigh so he can tie your shoes instead of kneeling down

learning everything you can about wolverines and logan has to tell you whether he shares certain traits with them, like an interview hehe

he diys your first ever paci because he refuses to ask for help and the beads randomly fall off until he eventually gives in and talks to the others about getting one

eggs are a go to food option when he's cooking - he makes a mean omelette

pointing at the hyenas at the zoo and going "papa!" and he just softly responds "not quite, kid."
