This week has been a terrible week for the Asian-Pacific American community and I'm still angered and disgusted not only by the terrorist hate crime that occurred in Atlanta this week, but also by the general spike in hate crimes against the APA community (and POC in general). It is long, long past this nonsense to stop, and way past time for the rest of society to stop victim-blaming and making excuses for violence. Something American society especially has a penchant for doing when women and POC (and LGBTQIA+ people, and sex workers, and immigrants, etc.) are the victims. As angry and disgusted as the crimes make me, it's even more disheartening to see people making excuses for the killer and the attackers, minimizing what he and they did, blaming the victims, or dancing around the obvious bigoted motivations for his and their cowardly actions. We all need to stick together and stay in this together. When one of us is unsafe we are all unsafe. When one of us is hurting we are all hurting. Hello Msladyfingers is back and I am very disturb with this article my friend sent me the other day!!!

A young girl from India had the courage to tell her family members that their neighbors had pushed her to the floor, stuffed a cloth in her mouth and raped her. They took action by finding the man and beating him. After beating him they mentioned the young girl that was a victim to this incident brought shame to the family, they furthermore took action and also tied the girl to the suspect with a rope and paraded them through fields and markets in a village in the central Indiana state of Madhya Pradesh. They kicked, punched and spat on her. I will insert the video down below.

This video was so heartbreaking to watch but I also had so much frustration and anger in me. Women get raped, abused and sexually harassed plenty of times and the moment one has the courage to not remain silent she gets beaten and abused for it. This had to end, although this action took place in Indiana the nation as a whole needed to find a better way to protect our women. This is betrayal especially since her family did nothing to protect her. I hope everyone including her family pays for scarring the life of this young woman. I am praying and hoping for better days
