The TV series I personally recommend there is Καρτ Ποστάλ (Card Postal), it is gorgeous, introspective, philosophical. Then there is another famous show there, Κάνε ότι κοιμάσαι (Pretend you are asleep), which is crime / mystery / thriller, but I haven't watched it. A lot of people also love Τα καλύτερα μας χρόνια (Our best years), which is a family / period show set in the 60s-70s. I haven't watched this one either. Another personal rec would be Αγάπη παράνομη (Unlawful love), which is based on an old novel, but it gets very dark in a realistic way, so that's something you should know. Other than that, ERTFLIX also has foreign content with Greek subtitles, with which you could practice. And it has great Greek documentaries.

You could watch Maestro in Blue on Netflix. Season 2 will be out this spring! Beautiful show, fantastic performances, great music.

There's also a man, George, who has been making English subtitles for various classic Greek series, comedies and dramas, including top tier Είσαι το ταίρι μου (You are my soulmate), a hugely clever and unusual rom-com, Στο παρά πέντε (In the nick of time), a crime and mystery comedy which is considered one of the two best Greek comedies ever and must have the thickest plot I have seen in a comedy (very popular show with the Greek tumblrs here) and OF COURSE ΤΟ ΝΗΣΙ ΑΚΑ THE ISLAND, a drama which is the best Greek series to date and for which I have entirely normal reactions. If you don't care to have subtitles at all you can find these shows and many others in DailyMotion and especially the website greek-movies.com. (this needs vpn, you know). This one has it all. Literally all, including the classics, classic Greek cinema of the 50s-60s-70s was by far the best era.

I am currently watching Η Μάγισσα (The Witch). There are some talks that it could go to some international streaming platform after it ends but you can watch it in the aforementioned website anyway without subtitles. I love this show, it's semi-daily, so this season will have 70 episodes, and obviously it comes with the limitations of daily shows, but as semi-daily shows go, it is bloody fantastic, I am obsessed right now.

YouTube also has a lot of old Greek series. The first thing you should do after starting any Modern Greek course is to start watching Κωνσταντίνου και Ελένης (Constantine and Helen's) on youtube, the best Greek comedy, or maybe the best comedy in the universe, with only slight exaggeration 😜😇 The aforementioned Είσαι το ταίρι μου, is also available on youtube with George's subtitles.

For someone to witness so much loss over such a great period of time… one would become accustomed to it. Desensitised to grief. But it wasn't as if he felt nothing at all for the lives he had taken, you knew him to be remorseful. You only wished you could cope with it better.

You didn't think you would be able to look on Olwenna ever again.

Soon you came upon a garden, recognising it as one you passed on the way to your home earlier. It had been filled with citizens, children playing, folks walking and talking, and you specifically remembered an elderly couple seated on a bench that overlooked the brook that ran twisting through the grass. Now, it was only filled with the cover of night, still and serene. You wandered over to that same bench, sitting gently down as your tears diminished, watching the moonlight dance upon the water.

It wasn't long before your solitude was interrupted. Light footsteps approached, and you turned to see Galadriel take her place beside you. "I see one thing has not changed. You are still as troubled as you were when we crossed the Sundering Seas." A small laugh escaped you, acknowledging her truth. "My troubles will never be over it seems. I have everything I've ever wanted and yet…" "Your spirit has paid a great price." The she-elf spoke sagely, then let your name enter the air. "I do pity you. But not for the reasons you might think. There is a part of me that feels ill, that does not understand why I care for you. I shouldn't. Though… I understand how difficult it can be to fight against the forces that would see you fail. That when you've lived a certain way for so long… even without realising it… it can be impossible to let go what you must."

"What did Halbrand say to you?" you asked, puzzled. She seemed to know more than you had ever revealed to her, that more was mentioned than what your love had told you. "Did he share my past with you?" "Halbrand has a way with words, as you well know. And he enjoys getting under my skin. He played on my feelings for you, let me see his side through your eyes. Instead of cursing you, he kissed you, catching you off guard. "It's alright my love. It's alright. I am not mad." he assured you, placing a caring touch of his lips to your forehead. "I know your dreams. I know your heart. And I know what it desires." Halbrand turned his gaze to Galadriel, who was standing quite still, though eying your husband with much curiosity. "Can you grant it to her?" The she-elf let his question wash over her, saying nothing, her eyes only on you. You felt Halbrand's lips against your ear. "Come, my love." he whispered, his voice filled with sensual ache. Kissing your neck briefly, he took your hand and lead you away, up the road towards your new home. After a few paces, you looked back and saw Galadriel following you both slowly.

In a matter of silent minutes, you were walking up the stairs to your bed chamber, Galadriel in tow. Your mind was racing with the thoughts of what was about to happen or what might happen. Images flashed before your eyes of things, of moments you had long wished for. Were those wishes truly about to come to pass? Once inside your chambers, Halbrand lit the torches on the walls, covering the room in a soft orange glow that made your bed sheets seem as if they were also aflame. You could feel your heart pounding against your bosom, as the two beings you longed for most in this world were both craving you as much as you craved them.

Halbrand sat on the end of the bed, his darkened eyes dancing between the two women before him. Galadriel stepped towards you, locking her smooth hands with yours, searching your eyes for understanding. "Is this what you desire?" she asked, needing confirmation. "Nor do I." Halbrand admitted with a small smile. Your felt your mouth slightly agape at what was transpiring, but though open it was, it was in the shape of a grin. None of this felt real, and yet, it was. You watched on then as your love tentatively leaned down to the she-elf, grazing her lips with his kiss. Galadriel received his touch eagerly, letting it intensify before it could be stopped. You could feel your arousal building in your core at this sight, and suddenly you understood why Halbrand had been sat upon the bed.

Moving behind your husband, you removed his crown, and your diadem, placing them on the desk in front of the vanity just as you had pictured earlier that day. Without fans, there would be no streams for their music and therefore no concerts and tickets&merchandises sales, no interviews, no invitations to events, no awards, no visibility, no publicity, no nothing. Absolutely nothing. No fans equal no money and fame. No fans equal no celebrity. They'd simply go back to being ordinary people like you and me.

So, by “it's up to the singers/artists to keep people engaged by any means necessary” I was also implicitly talking about PRs of course. Just because Laur's independent doesn't mean she has the freedom to do whatever she wants on every front, especially since she's tied to the old legally binding contracts. The industry's rules haven't changed. Lo's been in the industry for almost 11 years and therefore knows very well that especially now that she's independent she has to continue to follow those industry rules to gain visibility and publicity without the backing of a major record label. The only thing that has changed for her now that she's independent is that she has more freedom to pull the strings on some things, and among them, the choice of her PR: Sasha Mallory.

Sasha's nothing more than a rebound for the contract with Lucy Vives. The new Lucy *and I hope they're a good person unlike Lucia*. Sasha is a non-binary friend who's attracted to women and is a dancer, ergo is in the same industry and therefore understands and can perfectly help Lauren on both fronts by also being part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Sasha's the new cover for Camren, especially for the connection in the songs. The purpose of the PR with Sasha is the same as any other PRs: attention, speculation, publicity. The song was eventually scrapped and Mila decided to sell HER solo version thus acting as a ghostwriter. Version that was officially released by FLETCHER in 2021.
