Hey if you're a student let me tell you a thing

You've had Quizlet recommended a million times. Quizlet has some great stuff. But they just started moving towards a subscription model and I for one refuse to pay for that kind of software

If you want to move away from Quizlet, check out StudyKit. It's pretty similar, if a lot smaller and newer (enough that I got a personalized email when I signed up inviting me to the Discord server, you can see the changelog and talk to the devs and other users). And making an account is free or I wouldn't use it

The decks are similar to Quizlet decks, if you've got a big backlog of Quizlet sets like I do then you can import them into StudyKit via link without much fuss

There's a "track" option that lets you set an end date (down to the minute) for your test and set a goal for how much you want to study per day. Saved my butt on a few midterms

Also their logo is this cute fox and there's gonna be an option to dress it up soon

I never really got into mcyt until I was doing some language studying and realized Minecraft is so popular and worldwide that there's youtubers playing it speaking in just about every language. Its like a mini gift from the linguistic gods. Its just hours of conversations between real people but in a fun way where I don't need to worry about trying to follow a story. Thanks Minecraft for being practically universal.

+ I use language reactor (browser extension - not sponsored) on youtube & make flashcards with studykit (also not spon) with terms I don't know but are on the level I'm learning- its amazing for studying as someone who learns best from just casual conversations by actual people :]

1 LifeAt Virtual Spaces

That’s not exactly a studying app. However it helps you concentrate, relax and get things done

2 My classes (Weekly timetables and schedule planner)

The title says it all, it helps you stay organized and prevents you from procrastinating [Like mate stop procrastinating! , [for my  STAY folks:) ]

3 Socratic (by Google)

Very useful app ,especially if you need help with math , chem or bio :)

4 Quizlet

 You can make flashcards (really helpful for revisions, exams/tests etc

5 Google scholar

Just google “Google Scholar” and you’ll have a variety of articles, e-books and other sites for the subject you've searched

How to STOP procrastinating

Hey guys! It’s ya girl !

🌱Break down your homework/responsibilities so that you’ll do little “steps” everyday

🌱Create the PERFECT study environment (Romanticize your life ❤️)

🌱Make a PLANNER

🌱Set reasonable goals 

🌱 Visualize the benefits of getting things done  (I know it may be a struggle sometimes but remember, Study now and you’ll have a better life and career in the near future :))

How to study LESS but BETTER

  DISCLAIMER: Obviously, we are not the same ,especially when it comes to studying and absorbing info. Each one of you can try whichever hack/study technique you want and just because it didn’t work on you ,that doesn’t mean that it won’t be helpful for others :)

🍒.Studygroups.Personally,i like studying alone so studying with other people isn't helpful to me . However, if you think you could do better with a study-group ,then find a couple of good friends (who are interested in studying AS WELL) and GET THINGS DONE

🍒.Take notes by hand ,it’s an effective way to crave everything into your memory, faster and easily

🍒.Show up in class/lectures ,everything will make a lot more sense. Trust me :)

🍒.Do a little everyday ,but don’t let it be your WHOLE day (e.g Today i’m gonna study the first 2 chapters for my history test ,then i’ll do my science project and then i’ll watch the next episode of Miraculous Ladybug and go to the gym) ;)

🍒.Be a SMART READER , not a ROBOT

🍒. In Uni, choose classes that interest you because this way studying will become more enjoyable and won’t feel like a dull chore.

Yes Yes i know, many of us may be tired of seeing this ad again and again and again on yt .But it’s actually pretty helpful :)

3 Microsoft OneNote

Helps you taking notes 

4 Crash Course

This one is not a study app but a youtube channel that provides educational videos for free . It has EVERYTHING (literally...from history to math, from chemistry to economics and more :)

How to overcome PERFECTIONISM

A Perfectionist is someone who tries to achieve perfection at everything they do, some people believe that’s a positive trait but actually it’s NOT, nobody’s perfect so remember it’s totally okay if you make mistakes ,we are HUMANS after all.

How to deal with perfectionism? 

◼️   First of all ,tell yourself that it’s okay to not be perfect, to not be afraid to ask for help , to make mistakes or fail at something

◼️   Focus on the positive side of life. Yes, life can be tough but that doesn’t mean we should stop trying for better days

◼️  Set more reasonable goals, if you think that your “goals” make you feel stressed, anxious, disappointed of yourself etc, then reset them, enjoy life <3

◼️ Focus on progress and not perfection!

◼️ Cut out toxic influences, toxicity worsens your metal health. In case there’s someone in your house or group of friends/colleagues that forces you to be perfect then talk to them so that you can solve this matter or avoid them if you see there's no other way

◼️ if you don’t know how to overcome perfectionism on your own and you need help, go to therapy or talk to someone you feel comfortable with. Remember:You are NOT alone :)

How to cope with anxiety

Unfortunately , for many of us school equals stress and anxiety . If you’ωε ever felt so exhausted and stressed to the point where you were unable to do even the simplest tasks YOU ARE NOT ALONE, it’s totally understandable, you don’t have to feel bad about yourself just DON’T let it take over you, just take a deep breath , rest and try harder :)

💐Stop whatever you’re doing and take a small break. During this time,do things that makes you feel secure, carefree and calm (e.g drawing, dancing, singing, jogging ) or do NOTHING at all! Staring at the ceiling can also help you deal with stress you know  :)

💐Talk to someone you trust ,it’s better to let anxiety out than keep it inside and pretend you are okay (believe me it only makes it worse...).In case you feel uncomfortable talking to someone, then write your feelings on a diary or draw them.

💐Knowing yourself and your limits can help you see things more realistically and deal with everyday problems easily. SELF-AWARENESS is the key :)

💐Set a daily routine so that you won’t have to worry about time

💐Drink Chamomile tea  ☕

💐LAUGH , watch funny videos on yt or a comedy movie, anything that lifts up your mood :)
