I just want to remind everyone, that if you would like a free pattern, DM me. Any pattern.

I need test stitchers. I like designing more than I like cross stitching, but even if it was the other way around, I don't have time to stitch all of these. I can't really offer much else except for coupons and extra patterns when you're done. Perhaps a free needle minder if I happen to get back into making those.

The caveat is:

- I can't have these take forever. One - two weeks tops to finish. A couple days if it's one of my small patterns. I know my circular stained glass takes me five or six hours to finish .

Unless it's a really detailed pattern. Then I'll extend it. We can discuss.

- I'm going to need a really nice photo of the piece when it's finished. Framed or not framed. Taken as is, or artfully photographed with props and decor. It just needs good lighting, and it needs to look nice so that I can use it on social media or a listing.

And yes. I will credit you. I always do.

I may start out by doing a batch of five or 10 test stitchers. Because I don't want anyone to be sneaky and using this as a way to get a free pattern and then sneak off. We're going on the trust system here. The honor system.

Betray my trust, and you will bring dishonor upon you and your house. The Klingon high council will strip you of your house name.

I should really be promoting this more often for test stitchers. Especially when I'm in a cross stitch slump.

There are a few free patterns on tumblr users theworldinstitches 's blog! just look up the blog and search for 'free pattern' or 'free cross stitch pattern'. banditaxstich has Star Trek quotes. sturdy-nerdy-stitchery has some free cross stitch patterns, too. theshitpostsampler has patterns in a shop with 'pay what you can'. So if you cannot afford to pay for a pattern right now, you can still get it and tip them via ko-fi later when you can afford it. That's what I did.

birdiestitching com has lots of pokemon sprites and some other animes too.

DMC com has free patterns too, but I don't remember where on their site. Use a second email address for that, as it is necessary to write down an email address and they send you advertisement newsletters. but also newsletters about some new free pattern for embroidery, cross stitch, or sometimes crochet

The frame works with hoops as well - I don’t know if it will work with qsnapes or stretcher frames. As to a scroll frame for the bookmarks, you could use slightly longer strips, sew it to scrap fabric and then attach it to the frame. Once done, trim off the scrap fabric. :)

Posting for @sturdy-nerdy-stitchery — I’ve been stalled out at the finish line for six months while I figure out how best to mount a hanging rod into the knit, but I thought you might appreciate the update. It may be a bit before I pick this back up, it was a massive slog, but it made me laugh so many times in the process. Thanks again for the pattern 😊

The next promotion in @monsterous-designs Etsy promotion project is @sturdy-nerdy-stitchery! They offer cross stitch patterns and commissions of he nerdy variety. 

Their favorite listing is called Stark trek The Next Generation "Captains Holliday" Captain Picard cross stitch book mark. It’s a great pattern for all you readers out there!

My favorite listing is called Steven Universe Amethyst ghost costume cross stitch pattern. It’s a cute pattern that has multiple variations including one using glow in the dark thread!

This is the mandala pattern that I got from @sturdy-nerdy-stitchery and I love it a lot. Its technically a coloring book pattern but I loved it with just the black outline so much I didn't fill it in. Since my brother made the comment I have been calling it my white lotus.

This was a very nice quick project. I spent about 3 days on it around my many other commitments.

Hi! For cross stitch programs maybe check tumblr user sturdy-nerdy-stitchery who uses kg chart and has advice about it on their tumblr or forget-it-i-give-up for pic2pat. madxstitcher uses pcstitch (not sure so check their tumblr, also lots of helpful stuff, i recommend to search their tumblr for tutorial)

Finished this yesterday but ended up frogging a load of the pattern as it just didn't look right (in my opinion... I'm not saying the pattern was bad, just that the writing didn't look right how it was sitting) and now I've got it to the point where I like how it looks so just need to back it and then it's all done for my sisters birthday

probably either my first ever finished cross-stitch piece (it was a free pattern by @sturdy-nerdy-stitchery ) or the jollof rice i made that tastes amazing (a miracle where i’m involved) and has become my favourite food to make.

so i’ve been watching robyn noelle’s acnh videos and i really love them! they’re not quite a substitute for the real thing (why are switches so expensive :((( ) but they’re really relaxing and entertaining.
