Ninjago: Into The Deep (Master Post, Summary, and Q and A!)

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by! If you've been on my blog, you probably know about this upcoming project. But for those of you who don't, what is Ninjago: Into The Deep? I'll tell you! Ninjago: Into The Deep is a fully fleshed out Ninjago fan season inspired by legendary fantasy works such as Narnia, Lord of The Rings, and even classic Disney films and more modern adventure stories like Avatar: The Last Air Bender. Here's the summary!

Things are looking up for the Ninja since their battle with the Crystal King! Jay and Nya have gotten married, Lloyd is now training to become a sensei, and Ninjago City hasn't had a major disaster in over a month! (A new record!) Everything seems to be going well, until the team receives a mysterious letter from Queen Vania, requesting their presence.

Once they arrive, they discover an evil plot, orchestrated by former king Vangelis, to overthrow Vania and take the throne again! And having a taste of conquest while on the Crystal Council, the disgraced monarch has his sights set on the rest of Ninjago as well! Powered by a new energy source, Vangelis is now far too powerful for the Ninja to defeat with their current abilities. They must find a new way to defeat him!

This takes the Ninja on a quest to a new world! The magical and beautiful subterranean kingdom of The Deep Lands! There, they must find the Elemental Beasts. Seven creatures created by the FSM and imbued with elemental powers, to teach the first Elemental Masters how to use their abilities. And who control the very balance of nature itself! From these magical beings, the Ninja will learn new powers and skills that are beyond their wildest dreams, and take down Vangelis once and for all! So join us, as we meet new friends, experience new powers, and journey Into The Deep.🍃🌊🔥🪨❄️🐲⚡

Now here's some Q and A to answer all your questions! Some are from one of followers, and others I added in just to give general information. 😁 If you don't see a question being answered that you would like to see answered, please feel free to send it in!

First some general info.

Q: How will the episodes be released?

A: Each episode is three chapters long. Therefore, split into three parts. (Kinda like how you would have two commercial breaks in a real episode of Ninjago!) One episode will be released every week! Via a released chapter every Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

Q: How many episodes will there be?

A: 16-20. About as many a regular season of Ninjago would have!

Q: What is this series rating?

A: G - PG! I don't do adult humor or gore. So it will be about as kid friendly as a usual Ninjago Season!

Q: Will there be exclusive characters?

A: Yes! Several! Some including the Elemental Beasts, and even Cole's Grandfather Rocky! More will be released as the series goes on.

Q: Will the season ever be animated?

A: If I aquire the time, resources, and skills, absolutely!

Now, let's answer some questions from one of my followers and awesome friend @dexter-the-dog!

A: Probably the only thing that makes it an Alternate Universe is that Dragons Rising isn't canon to this story. Other than that, it should fit nicely with the canon.

A: YES! The Elemental Beasts! They are so cool! I can't even put it into words! Currently, there are six Elemental Beasts. One for Fire, Water, Earth, Ice, Lightning, and Air. The Air Beast will have a very important role to play in this story! I'm also partial to Cole's Grandfather Rocky, who will also be making an appearance! He's a very interesting guy. And super powerful too! After all, he fought the Serpentine and the Time Twins! So he has quite a few tricks up his sleeve!

A: As Doc would say, #NoSpoilers! Lol! But there is a really cool scene were Nya uses her powers in a new way! It should be EPIC. So cool in fact, I just might animate it!

A: Ah! I can answer both of these! Since Into The Deep is a fan season, it will try to fit into the canon as closely as possible. That being said, the characters are exactly as you would see them in the canon show. No backgrounds or roles changed. But whether they will gain new abilities or new roles? Well that I can't say without spoiling things.

A: It's definitely the Cole x Vania story I have planned. Lol. Yeah, I ship them. I think they're cute. And they'll have plenty of cute moments in this story!

A: Into The Deep happens about a month or two after Crystalized. :)

A: I've been waiting to answer this one! The Elemental Beasts take on a mentor role for each of their appointed ninja. They will help them learn new abilities and fight their inner demons to truly become their most powerful selves. They're also are basically Nature Spirits. Each one controls a certain element in nature from their base kingdoms in the Deep Lands. Because of this, they can never leave to go up to the surface, or the balance would be offset. This factor is important, so make sure you remember it while reading.

Aura Sighted: Gifted-kid burnout syndrome mage has to figure out how to save her sister from a psychotic King, while staying out of the way of the Prince with daddy issues. 3. Hunger Games: Mocking Jay’s Revenge

The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins introduced the world to the plight of citizens of the districts of the capital, the seat of power for the New World Order.

Gale Hawthorne joined the International Legion for the Freedom of Free Peoples with the first wave of Solidarity, in 2022, for the beginning of the Ruso-Ukrainian Conflict in Europe. In the time since, Katniss Everdeen crossed paths with myself, Nikia O’Niele, General of the International Legion for the Freedom of Free Peoples; Queen of the Kingdom of Hawaii Nei; Empress of the Galactic Republic. Fennick Odair and Johanna Mason reunited.

The New World Order planned to disguise this 105th Hunger Games behind the Paris Olympics 2024; as a secondary ruse, to their meeting to further Project 2025.

As it stands, a Kremlin nuclear warheads manufacturing facility and corresponding launch pad were discovered beneath a quite unassuming villa, on the outskirts of Paris, France. French President Emmanuel Macron denounced the New World Order vehemently, as the International Legion for the Freedom of Free Peoples swooped in; a French Air Force F-15 destroyed the subterranean bunker.

The tributes from the 105th Hunger Games have been retrieved, under command of Haymitch Abernathy. Peeta Mellark is in interrogation with Gale Hawthorne, as Katniss Everdeen remains subordinate in command. The abominations stocking the arena have been exterminated. The hackathon between the International Legion for the Freedom of Free Peoples and the game makers of the New World Order continues. The free peoples of the districts have been evacuated and are en route to civilian safe zones, courtesy of Delta Airlines; following medical treatment, under the guidance of Fennick Odair and Johanna Mason. Ground clear is to continue under the command of Vladsi Romanov, General of the International Legion for the Freedom of Free Peoples; Prince of Transylvania.

No more shall the free peoples live beneath the thumb of the New World Order, farmed to be sacrificed to the capital’s greed. The world is changing; the tide of revolution is rising; the stage is set. As the next evolution of the 1,001st Great War begins to unfold, ask yourself this: what does freedom mean to me?

The districts of the capital of the New World Order have not had access to electronics, media, or other communications; until today. That is to say, these people were under continuous media blackout. There is no newspaper, magazine, or radio programming. There are no emails, text messages, or handwritten letters. There is no electric. There is no gas. There is no sewage. The surrounding forest has been hunted to oblivion and poisoned to stagnancy. The coal mines have been mined dry. The fields have been molding.

Yet, the game goes on.

The New World Order lost an entire crop of genetically viable, genetic diversity to the International Legion for the Freedom of Free Peoples of the Kingdom of Hawaii Nei.

"On April 25, 1918, I was taken before a court-martial, charged and found guilty of the following military crimes:

Refusing to obey a lawful command of Lt. Stanley G. Barker to go to work.

Saying in the presence of officers and enlisted men that I would not obey any military orders.

Refusing to stand at attention when ordered to do so by Lt. Carpenter.

Attempting to create mutiny in the United States Army, by writing letters to other objectors, and urging them to stand fast, and not to submit to military authority.

My punishment, according to Court-Martial Order No. 152, Northeastern Department, Boston, was:

To be dishonorably discharged from the service, to forfeit all pay and allowances due and to become due, and to be confined at hard labor for Thirty Years at such place as the reviewing authorities may direct.

The place of confinement was designated at Ft. Jay, Governor’s Island, New York. On June 11, 1918, chained to another prisoner, who was found guilty of desertion and of throwing a live cat into a hot furnace and whose punishment was four years’ imprisonment, I was brought to ‘Castle Bill,’ as the military prison at Ft. Jay is known in the army. My stay here was not of long duration. The place getting overcrowded, one hundred fifty of us were put ‘in irons’ and, after a three-day-and-night travel being chained, we arrived at Ft. Leavenworth military prison.

The mistreatment of the C.O.’s and the abuse of all other military prisoners at Leavenworth, with the resulting ‘prisoners’ general strike’ of February, 1919, is a story by itself. The Commandant blamed the revolt of the general prisoners on the Objectors, and soon after the strike all Objectors were removed to a stockade which was connected with the prison. We were practically left to do as we damned pleased, so on May 1, 1919, some of us even celebrated the International Workers’ Holiday. The lining of our prison caps was red, so we turned our caps inside out, and carrying a few magazine photographs of Lenin and Trotsky and singing revolutionary songs, we went round and round the stockade enclosure. The guards notified the Commandant and he came running with a dozen officers, and told us not to be parading. We promised, and that was that.

Some of the boys imprisoned had newspaper experience. Many of them had office work assigned to them by the prison authorities and had access to typewriters, and spontaneously a crude sheet appeared for general distribution among the prisoners. It was called ‘Wire City Weekly,’ one of the numerous underground Bolshevik weeklies in America, circulation subterranean, printed in the United States Disciplinary Barracks, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Somehow the Department of Justice got hold of a copy and immediately an agent came to [the] fort, with full power to unearth the printing press. Of course they couldn’t find a press because there wasn’t any. The ‘Wire City Weekly’ was made almost in the commandant’s office, on government paper and on typewriters owned by the United States Army Quartermaster Corps. Col. Rice, Commandant of Leavenworth military prison, got good and sore and decided that he had about enough of the slackers. Officers were heard to say with great sincerity that they cursed the day that Conscientious Objectors were ever sent to them.

Col. Rice obtained permission from the War Department to get rid of all the undesirable prisoners. In June, 1919, thirty one prisoners and myself were transferred from the disciplinary barracks to the post guard house, and at two o’clock the following morning we were called out and some of us were chained in pairs by the wrists and others were in addition shackled in twos by the ankles. We were taken to a side track where a couple [of] cars were ready for us. The commissioned and non-commissioned officers accompanying us wouldn’t tell us our destination. ‘Sealed orders,’ they claimed. To outside inquirers, however, they gave the information that we were a gang of German prisoners being transferred to a concentration camp.

We were in ‘irons’ all the time, confined in the cars from the morning we were placed at Leavenworth until we reached Oakland, California, where we were taken to Ft. Mason docks, and placed aboard a government boat to sail to ‘Uncle Sam’s Own Devil’s Island.’ At all stations, windows and doors of our cars were locked, and guards were posted to watch us. At railway junctions, where transfer to other lines had to be made, our cars were shifted to make the proper connections. Four train seats were allotted to each pair of convicts, and by having two vacant seats facing us we managed to fix up a ‘comfortable’ sleeping place. If my partner, who happened to be an Oxford University graduate, forgot in his sleep that he was Uncle Sam’s passenger and wanted to turn in his sleep he had to drag me along.

The first day of our journey I suffered from diarrhea, and my partner had to go along with me quite often, for the bracelets were not taken off for any purpose whatsoever. The trip from Leavenworth to Alcatraz took us three days and three nights."

Emergence of the Locust Horde against E-Day, the Locust Horde emerges from underground tunnels known as the Hollow and launches a concerted assault against Sera's human towns and communities. TMNT Infestation 2: #1

Synopsis: New York City is being plagued by strange weather, disappearances and earthquakes that all seem focused on one spot.

Donatello, meanwhile, is reading up on an old doomsday cult from 1920s Dunwich, Massachusetts, which involved "the black ram with a thousand young," black magic and extra dimensional beings. But Splinter is more concerned with the present, namely that the sightings of strange subterranean creatures could lead to humans finding out about the Turtles.

Just as Donatello dismisses the idea, the lights suddenly go out and a tentacled monster appears and attacks them. Leonardo and Donatello manage to kill it, but discover it came up through an old tunnel that they hadn't known was there. The Turtles reluctantly decide to head down the tunnel and discover if any more tentacled beasts are waiting down there, especially since they are probably responsible for humans disappearing. Splinter is going to deal with the dead body, but he needs to borrow Michelangelo's skateboard.

The Turtles venture into the old tunnels and soon find a massive number of rats, turned into one huge grotesque organism, and then another tentacled creature the size of a building. Donatello recognizes it from his readings on the Dunwich cult, and speculates that it all began there in New York. Michelangelo also finds TNT, which shows that someone has been excavating new tunnels recently.

More tentacle monsters appear and grab Leonardo, and Donatello screams at his brothers to get him back, since they have been sacrificing people down there. Unable to fight them off, Michelangelo decides to use "plan B" and shoves lit TNT into a monster's mouth. A massive explosion goes off as the Turtles flee, the ceiling collapses, and Donatello finds himself alone in the tunnel. As he tries to claw his way through to Raphael and Michelangelo, tentacles pull Leonardo down into the water.

karma police by radiohead - i learned to play the acoustic guitar rendition of this song and record myself playing and singing it. 10/10 song i swear. and my god radiohead's discography is so freaking great. i'm planning to make an anthology series from my fav songs of theirs including this one, especially with subterranean homesick alien in the works (which is in the same album as this song) (for a minute there, i lost myself... :] ))

"No!" says Lex. "No son of mine will be working in a public eatery. You will go to a culinary college in Paris or you will abstain from the customer service industry altogether!"

"Come on, Dad," says Roy. "It will be good experience! Dick is working as a bartender there. And it's really close to The Cavern."

"I presume you mean the subterranean crystal fortress I helped program for the Bats and Archers."

"Yeah, we've been calling it The Cavern."

Lex sighs in disgust. "I suppose there are worse names. You are still forbidden from working in that dreadful environment."

"But Dad!"

"No 'but's," says Lex. "This is for your own good. I will give you more responsibilities as a security consultant for LexCorp if you wish to spend extra time working as an employee."

"But that's so boring!" complains Roy.

"Yes, and I suppose flipping burgers would be more stimulating," says Lex.

"Actually—"

"—It was rhetorical."

"Can I at least go there in costume?"

"Yes, you may socialize with you friends at that place. Just don't sully your good name by joining a biker gang or what have you."

"Dad, Warriors is a hero bar. Almost all the people who go there are costumed vigilantes and superheroes."

"No joining any superhero biker gangs either then."

Roy laughs. "Fine. I'll take it. Do you want to come meet Nightwing and Robin there?"

"First of all, you'll have to be more specific—"

"—Big Dick and Jay—"

"—Secondly… did you just call him Big Dick?"

"I mean because he's older and larger than Little Dick."

"My son, you amuse me. Secondly, I wouldn't be caught dead in that place. That nasty hole in the wall is no place for polite society."

"Jason goes there."

"I rest my case."

YouTube Reaction Podcasts – Rob Squad Reactions

As reported by Ariel Shapiro last year on TheVerge.com “Luminate surveyed 3,000 US podcast listeners 13 and older for its Podcast 360 Report, and shared exclusively with Hot Pod that YouTube is the most-used platform for podcasts. Of those aware of the platform, 78 percent said they have used the free version of the streamer to consume a podcast.  That puts it ahead  of heavyweights like Spotify and Apple Podcasts.”

One of the most powerful video-podcast types is the “reaction podcast”.  This is where someone watches a television series (e.g. - Brad Evans did for Bridgerton, 549K views) or movie (e.g. - Monica Catapusan for Encanto, 3.2M views). As a music / radio guy I’m currently really enjoying Rob Squad Reactions videos.  This is where Oklahomans Jay and his wife Amber listen to and react to music…cutting a wide swath through many classic rock super hits. Jay admits to being a big rap and heavy metal fan.  He and Amber know a lot about music…but come completely naively to what many rock fans consider “five-note familiar classics”.

There’s something smile inducing that allows you to watch them experience The Beatles, The Mommas and The Poppas, Sheryl Crow, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin and Journey for the first time. Usually prefaced by “I’ve never heard of this person…or this song.”  They show surprise that The Beatles could rock (Revolution), Denny Doherty’s big voice (California Dreaming), Sheryl Crow’s rasp (If It Makes You Happy)…and then their shock as they look at each other when “Billy Joe MacAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge.”  

Jay and Amber comment on vocal ability, instrumentation and lyrics. Jay had to hear back John Lennon’s opening riff to Revolution and Amber wanted to hear Paul McCartney’s scream again. Jay’s favorite female voice is Amy Winehouse, proclaimed  immediately after his first listen to Valerie.

Just a sample of some of the lyrics that hit them hard were:

Janis Ian’s Seventeen – “To those of us who knew the pain, of valentines that never came. And those whose names were never called, when choosing sides for basketball.” An arrow to the heart for Jay when the basketball reference came…and Amber’s voice cracked a bit as she remembered there were guys in high school that weren’t allowed to date her because of her race.

Bob Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues –  “Twenty years of schoolin’ and they put you on the day shift.” They had to hit pause after that one. And Amber said…”I want to listen to this five times, every time he hits me with a really cool line…then I miss the three things he said after that.” We can all relate Amber.

Sheryl Crow’s If It Makes You Happy – “If it makes you happy, then why the hell are you so sad?” As Amber said, “Does anybody else feel that chorus to their core?”

So, in short, check-out Rob Squad Reactions. But for those of us in the podcast business, “You don’t need a weather man to know which way the wind blows.” We must utilize YouTube to its fullest extent and realize that these cool reaction videos are delivering tons of impressions, which are extremely valuable to advertisers and agencies.

SUBTERRANEAN NINJAGO AU (P3)

Here’s Jay!

These are original designs so I’d appreciate you didn’t heavily reference, steal or copy them :)

If you aren’t aware what Subterranean AU is, again see the post before this one. Easy explanation, it’s a magical boy au with the ninjas as magical boys. In the AU the boys are all tied together to Lloyd in ribbons of fate. The AU takes place in an original setting I made for a group of ocs that I out the ninjas in.

If you seen the original you already know this but if not, this is his role in the story.

Jay had an odd relationship with his magic, he doesn’t hate it like cole but he isn’t carefree about it like Kai. Before being fated, he almost never used it. He was a late bloomer, most people find out their magic at ages 10 (like Lloyd) where Jays magic manifested at age 12. He’s had his magic for the least amount of time, Lloyd being the most inexperienced due to him having the youngest magic. Jay can’t fully control his transformation or magic as well as Cole, Kai and Zane can. He wants to help people, but is too scared of death and so he often doesn’t do much until he’s paired up with the others. Once he’s fated with the others, he starts to come out of his shell. He feels more at peace, and while he’s upset that Lloyd is magic, he feels a new purpose in life. He becomes more broad in his attempts to help, taking after Zane because he is one of his biggest inspirations in his self acceptance and journey of heroics. He wants to help people, he wants to take down their shitty ass government.

His magical boy design is based off a show host, or a “rock star”. I also used his prime empire design as inspiration. I’ll probably redesign or at least tweak it soon ‘cause it’s the weakest design out of the four. I like the bottom half but I think the top half still needs work. I gave him a long tailed jacket to feel like a showman’s, and high waisted pants. His fate bows are around his ankles, and his gem is on his collar. (I know I drew it on his chest a couple of times, but it is on his collar lmao). I wanted his hair in his transformation to be more like his hair in the movie, big and curly. While his civilian form looks more like his actual design from seasons 1-7.

Little trivia

He still lives in a Junk yard, but it’s just in the city. It’s more of a scrap yard for old cars and stuff though

Just like Kai he’s between 16-18 depending on how old you think the ninjas are, I’m indifferent

He goes to the same public school as Kai, as shown with his school uniform being similar to Kai’s.

His powers are more to do with technology now than just electronics, but he can still control electrical currents. I know his signature weapon are nunchucks but I think the visual of his weapon being a stage microphone might look cool and play into his show host theming, I still needs work on the visuals and logistics if that though.

He is currently unemployed and still living with his parents, poor boy

He met Nya when he and his dad visited their parents welding shop. Nya being in charge at the moment cause Kai was at work.
