This is my 2nd successful 'Nail Cut' / 'Mani Pedi' with 'Miss Tilly Billie'. ❤️❤️🍄🐈❤️❤️ I never thought we would get to this point; but the 'Technicians At The Brunswick Veterinary Hospital' showed me a great way too do it & now I can do it myself...... ......well not exactly by myself. I do need James to hold the 'Tungue Depressor' with the 'Squeezie Treat' on it while I trim her nails. ❤️❤️🍄🐈‍⬛❤️❤️ I really do feel proud of us. This has always been an issue. Next I am going to ask the 'Techs' to help me with 'At Home Tooth Brushing'. That has also always been a struggle with both Hula & Tilly. It is a bit harder with Hula because she is less food driven & a lot more fussy with food. ❤️❤️❤️😺❤️❤️❤️ Any good tips for 'Kitty Toothbrushing' or 'Kitty Nail Cutting' are fully welcome & appropriated. Things are still pretty rough with all the recent injuries, surgeries, & other random incidents that have been happening & going on; but especially with the loss of our 'Outdoor Cats', 'The Calico Crew' The good news is that they will soon be adopted by a family that lives on a farm. They will be together forever & 'The Witch Down The Street' will no longer be able to hurt them or try & have them killed or kill them herself. I'm 'Heart Broken'. I pray the new family sends pictures & or videos & maybe will let me see them from time to time. I'm going to miss them forever & always. every caroline/the kids interaction has such a profound, fascinating disconnect between what we see happen and what the kids see happen. they see an intentional desire to harm—to twist the knife already lodged in their ribs. they see malicious negligence. they see a woman who gave up on being their mom.

harriet walter, meanwhile, infuses caroline’s awkward, cruel dialogue with so much sincerity. she’s literally trying so hard in every conversation, and she always fails. in a recent interview, walter discusses how caroline wants to be their sibling instead of their mom; she loves them, but doesn’t know how to express that love because of her own upper-class british upbringing. her responses provide so much heartbreaking context to caroline’s brusque cruelty, especially when she reveals her motherhood regrets to shiv + brushes off kendall’s need for help. she doesn’t know how to be vulnerable with the kids. when she tries, she twists the knife.

and like. the kids are stuck in perpetual adolescence with their mom bc they never got the chance to renegotiate a relationship with her as adults. they’re too hurt to see her intentions—to offer the same complex empathy they all hold for logan, who literally pushed caroline out of their lives and ensured their allegiance to him only. so caroline will keep trying and the kids will endure her awkward attempts at momming. they’ll joke about her lacking a heart—all the while, caroline is giving kerry and the other exes the casual, easy affection and support they crave. the kids just can’t fit the whole woman in their heads.
