Well I did say Crowny isnt conventionally attractive, a strange sort of beauty kind of like those 19th century paintings which some people think are ugly but that’s just because our society has become too rigid with their expectations and wants everyone to look the same, I think people who look like that are gorgeous

But also, not every MC need to be so beautiful. Sky is because of their job but it's not bad if they aren't. I wouldn't say Luce is the most beautiful person ever, they're cute but in a regular way, the cute person you see at a mall. It would be boring if all my mcs were the same level of attraction

Some portraits I did of Branch and his brothers from the new Trolls movie as humans :)

I finished the Branch picture first, then I spent a decent amount of time sketching out the other faces. I really enjoy drawing siblings as it’s fun to choose which features they will share and how they differ. I then spent a million years mindlessly colouring and recolouring trying to get the shading right so now I can’t tell if they look good or not. Also you cannot see Floyd’s earring because he is facing the wrong way but I promise he is wearing one.

I also sketched them in their early Brozone days. I imagine they all had the same(ish) hairstyle but dyed a different colour.

most make up is ugly because it's just misogyny and fucked up beauty standards. even artistic alternative makeup presupposes correction of 'imperfections' and adherence to certain standards of how a face may look in order to be considered beautiful– broadened through those standards may be in these kinds of makeup. I find that the simpler and cruder makeup is the more beautiful it is to me. I can see that it is paint, a mask but not one that is worn out of necessity or forced upon a person. then I can see the beauty of a human face as it is in reality.
