18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

all of the above! sometimes i know what the title will be before i even start writing - especially if it's something like a "five things" fic or a song inspired the story. sometimes i just come up with it halfway through, sometimes i angst over a title when i'm totally finished and ready to post (and those are usually my least favorite titles after the fact).

to come up with a title, i'll often just scroll through song lyrics from artists who i think fit the vibe. i try to find a phrase that calls back to something in the story, or hints at the theme. if that's not really working, i just try to think about the concept more and what could be an interesting way to allude to that. for example, i named a s5 au "compound fractures" because that's an open wound, it's a break that is difficult and slow to heal - and that's what that fic is about too.

19. What is the most-used tag on your ao3?

"Alternate Universe - Canon." my favorite to write! and, often, to read!

54. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?

the writing itself is so much fun for me when i'm in a good flow! especially when i'm writing something silly or funny. i love just sitting there with my laptop making myself laugh lolol

The cataclysmic importance of You Could Ha[gunshot] I think about the word “slick” a lot as it’s used to describe some of the licky, jammy music I love from this era—The Strokes were forever “slick” in Spin. The Fratellis were kind of slick! The aughts’ Arctic Monkeys were a bit slick… I think FF firing on all cylinders as they so often are were the slickest! A perfect album.

currently watching: mr & mrs smith. my husband loves this show. i think it's fine? the first episode was very promising and there have been highlights along the way (parker posey!!) but they've been speed-running the relationship in a way i don't find very believable or compelling. the last ep we watched was the one set in italy and i won't spoil anything here but the ending of that one made me very WTF in a way i don't think they intended?

currently working on: a "five times" fic centered around kim wexler's 40th birthday. i will probably have a very long author's note about this when i finally finish it, but for now i will say: i find it really difficult to think up canon AUs from better call saul because pretty much all of the key turning points come from decisions the characters make, and not circumstance. and they are just so well-written and in-character that it's really hard for me to imagine them making different ones. (especially different ones that lead to the specific scenarios i want to explore.)

so, it's an interesting challenge i've given myself, to figure out how kim might still be living in nebraska at age 40, or stuck it out to finally become a partner at HHM, or still sharing an office with her ex at Wexler-McGilll, or...or...

I think (day)dreams can come true, because it's the one I'm proudest of, or (ain't it good to know) you've got a friend, because it was so cathartic to write (even though it will probably never be finished at this point). Unsurprisingly, those two are also my favorites, so go figure I want comments on them (other than just "will you ever update?" on the latter, that one I can do without).

what's a reggie friendship you'd love to see explored on the show that hasn't really seen screentime yet?

ohhhh god this is a good question. I’ll start by saying I am THRILLED we are finally getting kevin + reggie screentime at long last, obviously, but I would also like to see more cheryl and reggie...?? like substantial scenes, not just existing near each other. same with reggie + sweet pea and/or fangs, or even reggie + moose. really, most of his relationships outside of archie, ronnie, and kinda kevin and josie could use more screentime, or any screentime
