My first itabag! A bit of this a bit of that, ROTTMNT, Tsuritama and Chainsaw Man with a touch of Sonic, Dorohedoro, Gintama, Pandora Hearts, Osomatsu-san and ocs.

It’s a bit of a mess but I love the hobby and I doubt this’ll be my last one, I might tweak this one a bit too, or get another insert to swap out. Some charms at the bottom hang too low, and there were other things I wanted to put in the bottom corners too. I might put a big Hozuki keychain I have on the side hmm… With this size it’d have been fun building around putting in my 12" Metal Sonic Jazwares figure and a Metal Sonic plush I have, but ahh some other day… I struggled with it because the weight of it all made the insert sag and fold over, I didn’t see anything on the topic online so what I did is I found a big sturdy cardboard, and pinned the finished insert to it… Two cardboards for good measure. Oh also my badges have reflective plastic covers.

Can you name a cryptid that you think is cool, and how whumpable it is on a scale of 1-10?

First of all, THANK YOU for sending me this, it has made my week! I have been dying to talk about the intersection of whump and cryptids—two of my favorite topics! I am always down to talk about cryptids and paranormal happenings, so if anyone has more questions, toss ‘em my way!

Right off the bat, the most whumpable cryptid that comes to mind is the Fresno Nightcrawler. Look how dumb and soft these things look:

It’s just a weird blob of legs? Not only do they look ridiculous, but you could easily snare one in a bear trap since all they do is walk around like dumb little smooth brained idiots. These things are the equivalent of a sunfish (equally whumpable).

Whumpability score: 10/10

Cool score: 5/10 (they look ethereal but there’s not a whole lot else going on here)

This may be controversial, but an honorable mention of most whumpable cryptid is going to have to go to Skinny Bob:

Whumpability score: 6/10 (he’s an alien so you always run the risk of having more of them show up. We also don’t know what he’s storing in that massive dome of his—maybe it’s secrets to the universe, or maybe it’s the mental power to make things explode? Additionally, he was rumored to be in cahoots with the Russian government? Either way, suspicious. And he does have hands and those long ass arms to try to fight you off, but he’s clearly not hitting the weights because those things are pool noodles at best.)

this is probably a long shot, but do you happen to know where the sunfish/sea creature thing comes from? is it like a reference or a meme? im reading orv in korean (at an atrocious snail speed bc im NOT fluent) and every now and then i come across phrases that reference something im unfamiliar with and lead me down some research rabbit hole lmao

i am Unsure but as far as i know, "sunfish" is a reference to a mobile game(?) where you have to keep a sunfish alive but it dies easily so the task at hand is. hard. thus kdj references yjh constantly dying in the original ways of survival? O: i'm making an uneducated guess that it's this game but don't trust my word since i'm no expert! (i'm also reading it in english so there's that!)

checklist / note to myself *

gonna work this month on all fall related, halloween too , asks , so if anyone wants to send some, the meme is HERE ! don't be a stranger , i follow people for a reason ! i know i owe in that meme which is my focus because shorter things right now are my bread and butter , trunks, kizzy , etc ! it's still open all this month , as i'm someone who will write holidays long after the holiday is due .

in the past i used to punish myself a lot for just . . . not feeling it writing-wise. that doesn't mean i think i shouldn't say sorry if i have been keeping others , but just not to make it something toxic ; like a punishment or measurement of my worth as a writer.

i also think once i clear some of my drafts , feel comfortable enough to , i'd like to ask for a lot of people's interest trackers . i need to be more initiative (no pun) into getting to know new mutuals , all of you whom have tons of talent . that includes me plotting in time, mizuki's psyncing into your muse's brain if ... you'll let her . and don't worry, mizuki is sturdy as hell she's definitely equipped to see the unexplainable horrors . . she's lived it too.

i'm still working slowly on my thoughts, as my mizuki is aini divergent 90 percent , save aiba is her partner at present , shared with date of course ! but usually since she's more active in my canon , mizuki is someone i think would be a great longterm ABIS agent, but also someone who wants to go to college, and should . she's above average IQ in spades , but with running renju's talent agency and sunfish pocket , and also being a special agent to a secret organization within the police force ? she's busy.

of course there's also so much so so much to explore with her in the original, which is in my top five. lots of things i want to explore and many wishlists to be had . so yeah , i think mizuki needs a break before she starts college at some point, learns to balance all her responsibilities while still enjoying being a teenager .

that verse will probably be a long time in work , and aini will need to be replayed , and i'll try to keep the high salt about it turned more into something . . . productive ? like worldbuilding and story building for mizuki ! but yes , i love exploring all the ages she's been listed as, at present she's probably in the middle of being 18. i have to check the times of the games whoops. but please know if you're expecting only one version i switch between both equally . if you met her at 12, you'll likely get more of her at 12 unless we plot a timeskip. if you met her at 18 you'll get her at 18 ! rewinding to 12 might be a little weird unless your muse is a hidden psyncer boss didn't tell her about .

so yes, fall memes, draft clearing and some dropping, mizuki aini divergent verse , wish-list (over time) and reaching out to an interest checker or just honestly, send me an ask anytime. i may not get to it fastest , but i will . i have drafts as disorganized as i am. but this is kinda stuff that i'll be focusing on in the next few months, fall memes and fall things the primary for this one, albeit with some drafts !

My lab group found out about my comedic hatred of mola mola (they're very cool but it is funnier to pretend to be offended by their existence than it is to share fun facts about them normally) and they keep sending me sunfish memes now. My supervisor declared Alomomola her favorite pokemon just because she thought it would offend me. Jokes on her sunfish are cool and I love a heart theme in character design.
