I'm not really one to be vocal about why I hate something so much, but the writer in me absolutely hated KingOhger vs Kyoryuger and wrote an 11-page essay on why it's absolute dogshit writing.

There are spoilers for Zyuohger and KingOhger btw so you've been warned.

You don't have to read it if you don't want to, either. I'm just airing out my frustrations as both a Sentai fan and a writer who loved the amount of subtle details put into KingOhger. I can go on and on about the connection the Kings have to their respective bugs and the cultural and scientific significance. A few examples being in this essay.

Tokusatsu is a crazy TV show genre cuz the show will literally have the most emotionally compelling story ever told with action scenes keeping you on the edge of your seat, and then the hero pulls out a fucking Hasbro toy for a weapon.
