Since last summer, rejoining society and having friends n stuff after so many years of trauma n isolation- I feel like my world has expanded so much. it can be so scary and stressful bcoz im still figuring things out but sometimes I just gotta take a moment and think abt how amazing it's been too.

I have a LOT of ppl I'm friendly with which I love I love them in their own ways and enjoy seeing them even if we aren't close.

I have like three best friends who I love so much and would do anything for and sometimes I'm literally in tears over how much I love them and how glad I am to have met them. (And glad they give me the time of dayyyy)

And I just know so many ppl now and know so much more about ppl I general and life n shit.

I just get a little sad sometimes that I don't have the time/energy I used to have for drawing and writing. I haven't rlly drawn or written in over a year and I feel like my character writing could be so much deeper and broader and more fun now that I know more. Plus I miss drawing it's just extremely hard to get back into bcoz art from my muscle memory is uglyyy and I don't have much of an art style I'll have to rebuild all my skills over time.

- buys you a goofy stuffed toy and you guys name it together based off of some random silly little inside joke you guys made 💔

- you definitely have cute goofy pictures of him in line messing around and he’s just making really stupid jokes and everything is funny when he’s around. i feel like he’d also have his arms around you and he’s right beside you just lowkey making sure you’re not scared or nervous

Sensei Garm is dead by the time Jay arrives in the picture, so when SoG comes along he's pretty confused. He doesn't have a personal connection to Garmadon like the rest of the group does, so he's actually the one with his head screwed on the most about taking him out and being wary of him. Overall though it's pretty much the same as how canon Jay acts about Garmadon. Meanwhile Garmadon's just kind of baffled that Jay exists at all since he was missing for so long

2. Yes he does! They stay after the game but they're not yellow anymore they're average scar colors

3. Kai and Jay have a lot of tension throughout the whole AU! Their dynamic is so interesting to me and I like to explore it in the au. Kai is SUPER distrustful of Jay and they take a while to warm up to each other. On the flip side, something that happens that absolutely SHATTERS Jay's trust in Kai for a while. Their relationship is super important to me so I'm excited to develop it more!!

OHGHH this one was tough ummm I mean I think some of the simplest things feel like the most romantic things for Osomatsu because all romantic things are new to him.. and he doesn’t need big gestures or anything, I think when Erina dotes on him it makes him feel so tender. Like even before they’re dating and it’s raining, and erina let’s him in her place and is drying him with a towel… he is so taken care of and that’s romantic to him..

And the most romantic thing Osomatsu does for erina… she also finds like anything sweet he does so romantic even if it’s just staying up together in bed and talking and holding each other. It feels intimate to her when hes giving her affection slowly like kissing her knuckles and jaw and things like that 😭 Anytime where it’s just them and he completely focuses on her

ERINA will try her best to take care of him at her place!! she loves to cook for those she cares about, so i like to think also that she learns about chil’s taste preferences and tries to make lil things for him…. her love language is acts of service and gift giving, so she does a lot of things for him to try and show she cares. (even if he pushes her away, i believe she’d still at least try to make it known she wants to best for him ;;w;;)

her dream of settling down and having a family is swept up by her hobby as a botanist and baking, so mainly she’s just going where life takes her right now! she ends up meeting chil and everyone else and her life changes from there!! she’s braver than she lets on, and i also am thinking about maybe making her good with her hands as well as maybe a dagger of some sort???? nothing crazy, but i’ve always been good with smaller knives so i wanted to see her with that!! still trying to brainstorm more of her stuff! :00

she’s really sweet, but also doesn’t like when people try and take advantage of her and other half-foots, so she’ll speak her mind when needed! other than that she’s pretty mild and tender! i’m actually drawing her and chil some more tonight if you guys are interested in that!!! one of my asks wanted to see some of the art i’m making of them so I’m excited to finish it!! :D

mochi i always appreciate how friendly u are, u answer so many different asks, even if u don’t agree with the content ur very understanding and are empathic towards the other person, which is a very earnest and kind thing to do. ur able to match the vibes of asks as well, making sure ppl feel hyped up, which makes them feel more confident in themselves, especially because it can be a bit of a vulnerable thing to put ur self out there. u either have an understanding of this, or are naturally inclined to support the other person, both of which reflect really well on you

ur also incredibly talented, creative, and smart. you have multiple sometimes long running aus and ideas that you’ve slowly chipped away at, it’s incredibly admirable, especially considering you are a student. ur frequent updates just show how strong of a writer u are, and i’m sure whatever u do with ur degree ur gonna do amazing things. your also super emotionally in touch with yourself-likely one of the reasons why u perused psych- and are able to communicate ur feelings well, in a very graceful way, it’s a very strong thing to set boundaries with an audience, cause in some way admitting something isn’t working is kind of scary (at least to some) so i’m really proud of u for it. (and a side note- anyone who doesn’t respect or tries to overdramatize u protecting yourself when ur obviously having some personal conflicts needs to take a deep breath, u give them a lot more understanding and gentleness, and it shows well on ur part)

all that being said as well it is up to u what u respond to and engage with, and i truly hope you don’t ever push yourself uncomfortably for any reason out of obligation. i hope that u support ur self first. it’s not a crime to prioritize yourself, i promise. (i don’t know u personally, so i would have no way of knowing if this is something you would struggle with, but just in case wanted to include it lol)

I think being kind and empathetic is just… really important y’know? and I try to be as friendly and open as I can with people because I know that it can be scary sometimes when you throw out an idea or even send a message to someone you’re not familiar with or know on a personal level. it’s that general idea of treat people how you want to be treated. with any luck, the kindness I extend to others will eventually come back around to me. I like supporting people and encouraging them <33 I guess I just try to be the person I wish I had while growing up

I wasn’t a very confident kid, didn’t have a lot of friends, and was terrified of the people around me. so I really do get and understand the vulnerability that comes with putting yourself out there. and !!! even if I don’t agree with something suggested, I try to be gentle in my approach to it. I just like being kind to people dbfbfbfhtg

and wahhhhh thank you ;w; writing is just something that I’ve always done alongside school so it feels super natural to do the two at once :D I’ve always been like ??? weirdly in tune with my emotions and how I’m feeling (I feel REALLY strongly, it’s insane how emotional of a person I am), and yeah!!! it was partly why I pursued psych as a major. but setting boundaries was definitely not a thing I was good at while growing up ^^; I think I only started to get good at it within the last few years honestly. but I’m definitely not afraid to sit down and say that something isn’t working. I try to look at from two views: it’s not fun for me if I’m working on something I’m unhappy with, which means it’s not fun for others as well. and I only want to write things that I’m proud of and passionate about, meaning I’m motivated :D

and it helps knowing that if I restart, I can make something a lot better <3 trial and error is an important part of learning !!!

I really actually liked Unknown Collection!…except for the ending.

I really loved Sachiko and the mc. I wish the mc wasn’t the player and instead an actual playable character (that would of been cool) but eh, oh well.

And Sachiko’s backstory! Wahhhhh 😭

I wish Yamato was in it more. Tang Xuan too. What I’m not biased at all what are you taking about 🫢

I was also overjoyed to see Xuan Pin. I’m happy to see my girl again.

And the Hilda jumpscare 😭 I did not expect her to make an appearance, even if she was just in Tevor’s picture roll.

Overall, the pacing was kinda wacky to me, but I liked it. Until the end. When Gaius of all people turned out to be evil. Like HUH? I wish a new character would of been evil instead. Like imagine this cool new Esper, who could of been super close to Raven and them, but then turns out to backstab everyone. Gaius really isn’t that guy.

The ending when Sachiko died(?) made me tear up tho. Her and the mc’s relationship was really sweet to me, she and the mc were really the highlight of the whole thing. Their friendship means everything to me 🥹

You write so good! What are your secrets? Give us some writing advice Ms. bottles

First of all oh my god???? Ummmmmm thank you, this is such a sweet message and I feel like I have zero clue what I'm doing 99.9% of the time, so yeah. Seeing this made me a little insane (in a good way). And maybe I cried! Who's to say.

Second, I want to emphasize that I am in no way an expert and I don't think there's a "correct" way to write--to me, any kind of creative work is primarily about the creator, not the audience, and people should do whatever they want forever. Who Give A Shit what everyone else thinks (she says while giving a massive shit about what everyone else thinks. Shut up. I'm working on it.)

But!! Here are a few things I've found to be helpful:

1. Building a really solid POV for whatever character I'm writing. For me, this means obsessing over not only "would they fucking say that?" but also "under what conditions would they fucking say that?" AND "what would they fucking say if [x] happened?"

The great thing about fanfiction is that you can drop a character into any situation you want and then adjust their behavior accordingly, but this gets tricky when you're dealing with a character who's very self-contained and has a lot going on under the surface (........Asami😑). The great thing about original fiction is that you're the only one who will know if something is "out of character" but then on the other hand, you're starting from scratch.

Whichever one you're doing, I think trying to get a firm grasp on the way a character thinks and feels (what motivates them, what's important to them, how they react when under stress, etc.) is super helpful.

2. Describing the way a particular emotion or sensation feels, rather than naming it outright. I think this helps the story feel more immersive, and can elicit a more visceral reaction from the reader, if that's what you're going for.

I've found this to be especially helpful when writing characters who are terrible at expressing their feelings. Somebody who's emotionally repressed won't come out and say "I feel anxious," but they might keep breaking out into cold sweats. They won't say "I'm attracted to this person," but their face might heat up when they're around that person.

And--this is where it gets really fun--if you want to show that they're extremely repressed and don't even allow themselves to think "I like this person," let alone say it out loud, you can give them a convenient excuse to ignore their physical reaction, or attribute it to something else. Like, maybe they're eating with the person they're attracted to, and the food happens to be spicy. It would be easy for them to keep lying to themselves about why their face is hot.

3. Varying my sentence structure/length and spending a lot of time on thesaurus.com lol. This just keeps things interesting, and also personally I think it's a lot of fun to build all kinds of wild and wacky sentences. A few long ones and well-placed paragraph break can make a short sentence hit like a gut punch.

4. Allowing myself to make it weird. This goes back to what I said at the beginning--I write for myself, because if I don't get the story out, it will eat me alive. So honestly, who cares what other people think. This is really really fucking hard, and it's something I'll probably always struggle with, but it remains true whether we want to accept it or not. As long as you like what you've made, it doesn't matter if anyone else likes it.
