the scene was so intense even neytiri felt a spike in her heart rate. she didn’t like spider. but you were her child. she didn’t want you to do this nor did she want you to get hurt.

the look on spiders face made you laugh. he was scared. scared for his life.

the okra project brings warm, homecooked meals to black trans people all over the country. they are a donation based group. every donation helps pay black trans chefs to cook a meal for other black transgender people free of charge!!

the black trans travel fund is a mutual aid fund that helps black trans women in NYC and NJ with the financial resources to pay for travel services.

for the gworls raises money to help aid with black trans people's rent and gender affirming surgeries. originally, they could only help those in NYC but impressively are now able to help black trans people nationwide.

What a time to be trans and alive in America. If you follow me, you are probably already horribly aware of the hundreds of pieces of anti-trans legislation that have been introduced in nearly every state, some seeking to ban trans healthcare for both minors and adults, some to ban drag, to ban trans people from restrooms, from sports teams, and in some of the most extreme cases take trans children away from parents who support their transitions. I highly recommend following The Trans Formations Project for their daily updates on the progress of these bills through the state government. They also have a very helpful tool on their website where you can search representatives by state and see exactly which legislators have introduced or voted on anti-trans bills, so you know exactly who to call and complain to about their terrible policies. The Trans Formations Project is active on insta, tumblr, twitter, discord, tiktok and FB. They are currently seeking volunteers and taking donations through their website. If you have the means, here are some other organizations you can support to combat these bills:

ACLU or especially the ACLU of Tennessee, which is ready to fight Tennessee's new anti-drag bill in court

I suppose it's worth showing here, but they both just recently got updated references (art by xlerotl)! I've been hype about it for like, weeks because it took me a very long time to find someone capable and willing to do the refs 😭

I've been thinking about Cupid mostly, though, because technically, in a few short weeks she's supposed to go through a pretty rough, life-changing patch for the sake of story purposes, and whew... it's gonna be rough!!! I really mean that. I'll put her story spoilers under spoiler!

Without getting too deep into it, well... she's going to die, and basically be brought back from the dead as an ascended cherub, which is her birthright as a daughter of Aphrodite.

This wasn't something she was aware of, and it's not something she's pleased with at all, because it will unveil a lot of difficult truths for her, and change how she perceives her adoptive parents, birth mother, and her life.

This is going to cause her to move away with her partner to live with her oldest brother and his wife out in the country for a few years to get space and... figure stuff out. She's around my age (25-27), and is in a similar position I'm in where I'm questioning a LOT of my life, my choices, and the things that have happened in my life that's lead me to where I am now... and I'm definitely projecting a lot of that onto her, though it was unintentional at first.

Of course, yes, in the near future all the same, she's going to be happy, and figure out what she'd like to do; with the support of her brother, sister in law, partner and friends (ie Pacifica).

Sometimes people need help with things like paying rent or going to the doctor, and For the Gworls wants to make sure that everyone can get the help they need. The other cause that Clairo supports is called Everytown for Gun Safety. They work really hard to make sure that people are safe and don't get hurt by guns. They do this by talking to people in power and trying to make laws that make sense and keep everyone safe. I think it's so cool that Clairo is using her music to help people who need it. It's really important to help others and make the world a better place.

It's so cool that she supports the queer community through having a dollar from each ticket sale going to For the Gworls Charity and by having local drag queens open each concert :))
