The Tangjia Sanshao trifecta:
- Soul Land - A regular Saturday watch. Still, after all these episodes, I always play Angela Zhang’s theme song at full volume.
- The Magic Chef of Ice and Fire - It just moved to it’s 2nd season. Quite like it. Quality work like Soul Land and and Throne of Seal.
- Throne of Seal - Also just moved to it’s second seasond. Yes, I know the formula is familiar from Soul Land, but the romance between Long Haochen and Cai’er is what keeps me watching.
The Island of Siliang - Quite liked this. Pity it was so short.
Supreme Lord of Galaxy S1-2 - Fun 10 minute bits twice a week.
No Doubt in Us S2 - I loved the first season of this historical bodyswapping story, and the second season is just as nice.
Legendary Overlord (Lord Snow Eagle) - I watched all of it on WeTV even though it was MTL, which should tell you how much I liked the story. I understand there is also a live action drama called Snow Eagle Lord with Xu Kai and Gulinazha in production.
Spy X Family - Best new find! I love the Forger pretend (?are they really pretending any more?) family and also ended up ordering all of the English published manga as well.
Edit: How could I forget The Dragon Prince’s newest season. It continued the story in it’s twisty and addictive way. I continue to love all the lgbtq+ representation in it.
Also, Oni: Thunder God’s Tale was such a lovely story. I already recced it to my niece and my greatnephew, though it might be a bit too scary at his age.

Jedi culture & community fics, my beloved! They're a bit of a rare breed for what you're specifically looking for, specifically focusing on positive Jedi worldbuilding, so if anyone has genfic recs outside of the ones I know, please feel free to add them! But these should help scratch that itch for you, each of them has at least some focus on Jedi philosophy or how Jedi interact with each other or the lessons they teach! It's been awhile since I've read some of them, so there might be some that aren't quite as in-line with how I see the Jedi these days, but they're all ones I felt portrayed them pretty positively and they're all genfic (except one that I made an exception for) and all really lovely fics I remember enjoying for the Jedi worldbuilding aspects! And there are some that will make you absolutely melt with how much you love these characters and their beautiful culture, because by god if canon's not going to give us as much detail as we want, fandom will step up. And fandom made sure to not just focus on the disaster lineage--we love Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka, we always want more of them, please don't stop writing Jedi worldbuilding with them!--but also Mace and Yoda and Quinlan and Qui-Gon and even some Jedi OCs get some love in these fics, which makes me want to explode with joy to see! So, come cry about how much we love the Jedi with me, I WILL GIVE YOU A CRAPLOAD OF FIC TO READ. STAR WARS & JEDI CULTURE & WORLDBULDING RECS YOU'LL FIND HERE:
NOVEL AND NOVELLA LENGTH
MID-LENGTH
SHORT AND YET SO GOOD-LENGTH
NOVEL AND NOVELLA LENGTH: ✦ Remedial Jedi Theology by MarbleGlove, obi-wan & anakin & jedi & cast, 51.3k     Let us consider the fact that the Jedi Order is a monastic religious organization based out of a temple, with five basic tenets of faith. ✦ Festival of Light by dendral, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka, 8.7k     During his first year at the Jedi Temple, Anakin learns that even the Jedi celebrate holidays. ✦ Out with Lanterns by SkyeBean, ahsoka & mace & jedi & clones & cast, 312.5k     In another universe, Jedi Masters Plo Koon and Depa Billaba decide a Padawan could do Mace some good. It takes a while, but he eventually agrees. When he takes Ahsoka Tano as his Padawan, Mace knows that he's broken through a Shatterpoint and changed the course of a life. How, he doesn't know. ✦ eat well; be well by gingerbeer, rainsoaked_benevolence (oceans_bluem), obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & yoda & depa & shaak & quinlan & aayla & cast, 18.6k     Or, (almost) all of the Jedi High Councilors (plus Ahsoka) gather to eat dinner together. ✦ Supreme Chancellor Obi-Wan Kenobi by stonefreak, obi-wan & anakin & padme & ahsoka & palpatine & yoda & quinlan & cody & cast, 126.3k wip     By an old Republic law, all members of the Jedi High Council are senators in the Galactic Senate, and can thus be voted in as chancellor. A Senator from a less prominent planet has had enough of Chancellor Palpatine's incompetence and calls for a Vote of No-Confidence and the installation of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. This one action becomes the catalyst that changes the direction of the galaxy. ✦ Pragmatics of the Jedi by aroacejoot, ghostwriterofthemachine, loosingletters, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & jedi, 31.3k     A series of fanfiction exploring the consequences and results of the Jedi having their own language, and speaking it still. ✦ light by loosingletters, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & mace & jedi, 56.1k     Anakin Skywalker is a Jedi and being a part of their Order means that he is protected and accepted. The war is over and the Republic has to recover from the crimes of the Sith Lord, the Jedi have to figure out what it means to be peacekeepers again and the Clones have to learn how to be more than expendable soldiers. ✦ When Darkness Seems to Hide This Place by IllyanaA, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & kanan & ocs & cast, 94.9k wip     After killing three of the Jedi Order's best and brightest, Palpatine's fight with Jedi Master Mace Windu goes shorter than expected. Afraid he's lost his chance at recruiting a new apprentice, Sidious unleashes Order 66 across the galaxy, but, per their programming, the Clone Army is not to harm Anakin Skywalker. After witnessing the most painful loss he's ever experienced and injured at the hands of his captors, Anakin is ready to die like the rest of the Jedi, though not before getting his vengeance.
✦ Knightrise by Deviant_Accumulation, obi-wan & yoda & satine & ahsoka & asajj & cast, 89.4k wip     "Strong enough to fight the Sith Lord, you are not.“ And just like that the fight drained out of Obi-Wan, the barely scraped together agitation running out of him like water from a broken glass. He looked at Yoda, the other Master already hobbling towards one of the back exits, his presence burning with focus, obviously expecting Obi-Wan to follow. ✦ Make a Brand New End by Batsutousai, obi-wan & anakin & feemor & qui-gon & yoda & mace & dooku & jedi, 118.6k     Feemor, Qui-Gon Jinn's first padawan, did not survive Order 66, but the Force granted him a boon: A chance to go back to days before Qui-Gon's death. He doesn't know why the Force picked him to remember that terrible future, but he's going to do what he can to change it. And if he can heal the rift fallen between himself and Qui-Gon, and finally get the chance to know Obi-Wan, well, he's not about to turn that down. ✦ Unexpected Awakening (The Rewrite) by Rhiw, obi-wan & qui-gon & bruck & feemor & cast, time travel, 135.1k wip     The life of General Kenobi is cut short at the hands of his Padawan, but the sight that greets his eyes upon awakening is not that of blinding light of the Force, but the Jedi Temple he knew when he was still a youth. As he struggles to understand the path laid out before him, Obi-Wan unwittingly captures the attention of a singularly unusual Temple Guard, and that of a reluctant Qui-Gon Jinn. ✦ No Rest for the Weary by orphan_account, obi-wan & anakin & jedi, 61k     Needing a break from life at the Jedi Temple, Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, visit a Jedi AgriCorps settlement on the Midrim planet of Helia. There they encounter new friends, new enemies and have new adventures, all while attempting to navigate their sometimes turbulent relationship as Master and Padawan. ✦ The Moments That Time Remembered by CallToMuster, obi-wan & mace & vokara & bant & quinlan & garen & depa & jedi, 82.4k     Obi-Wan’s first memory was not his own. Rather, it was a vision steeped in darkness and flashes of red and choking heat and you were my brother and the harsh crash of lightsabers striking one another. He woke up sobbing in the arms of the crèchemaster, Master Kitaddik, who was hushing him and gently stroking the top of his head with her furry hands. Obi-Wan hid his face in the soft folds of her tunic and, still crying, fell back asleep. The first time Obi-Wan collapsed due to a vision was not long after that. [Or: in all the various iterations of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s life, the Force spoke to him. But in this one, it never stopped.] ✦ Starrunner by orpheus_under_starlight, obi-wan & jedi & oc, 80.2k wip     In what would have been the year 17 BBY, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine is found slumped over his desk, dead to rights and emitting a foul odor. The coroners declare the body victim to a heart attack and the smell a result of a lack of a timely embalming—a bit of bowels humor, the head coroner says with a nervous laugh when interviewed by the Galactic Enquirer.
MID-LENGTH: ✦ 飽了嗎? | Have you eaten your fill? by virdant, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & qui-gon & quinlan & yoda & dooku & mace & bant & jedi, 13k     The Force is the first language that Obi-Wan learned to speak, the brush of one mind against another. But food is the second language that Obi-Wan learned to speak with, and he talks, he talks, he talks. A collection of fics about food and how food is an articulation of love. ✦ We Will Abide by naberiie, plo & shaak, 10.3k     Light. Dark. Balance. Beneath the Jedi Temple, far below the chaos of Coruscant's Galactic City, ancient halls and corridors sleep in silent darkness. Padawans Shaak Ti and Plo Koon are determined to explore them. ✦ What Is My Heritage? by Marnie, qui-gon & yoda, 7.7k     Qui-Gon, age 13, tries to find a place to belong. ✦ Coming Home by Marnie, qui-gon & yoda & dooku, 18.1k     A story telling how Qui-Gon comes to be Dooku's apprentice. ✦ Master by CJinn, obi-wan & anakin, 27.5k     Obi-Wan Kenobi had always wanted to become a Jedi Knight. What he didn't expect was to become a Master merely days after his own Master died. Adapting to his new role as the mentor and Master of the quite unusual Padawan Anakin Skywalker became a bumpy road.
✦ into the statue that breathes by spoonks, obi-wan & feemor & cin & cast, 8.5k     The night watch in the garden was supposed to be the calmest of them all. No mischievous Padawans “sneaking” in or out, or ne’er-do-well civilians conducting “business” around the lower-level entrances that they didn’t know existed. No the gardens was still, and it was like time was frozen in ice that slowly melted away with the rising of the sun. A slow drip, drip— Drip. Immediately Feemor turned towards the central waterfall. Someone was standing there. Whoever they were, they were small and moved through katas with their hands open like a greeting. ✦ The Cave by Ria Talla (ronia), anakin & ahsoka & cast, time travel, 10k     Ahsoka Tano, post-Star Wars Rebels/? And there was something else, more important, though Ahsoka found herself loath to do it. Her lightsabers drawn, deep in the labyrinth formed by the stone warriors and the crumbled temple. Yet the words broke certain into her mind. Your eyes can deceive you. Her heart pounded, as though warning her otherwise. But Ahsoka withdrew her sabers, and closed her eyes. Rather than her weapons, she let the Force be her light. ✦ A Candle in the Night by phoenixyfriend, anakin/luminara & obi-wan, time travel, 12k     In which Luminara finds a heavily injured Jedi, nurses him back to health, and falls in love. Then they get back to the real world, and she just can't figure him out... ✦ Found Clan by silvergryphon, boba & ocs & obi-wan & anakin & cast, 25.3k wip     After the Battle of Geonosis, a Jedi Healer discovers young Boba Fett mourning the loss of his father. Not about to leave a ten-year-old boy on his own, she promptly adopts him with the full collusion of her Padawan. ✦ the heart of kyber by outpastthemoat, obi-wan & anakin & qui-gon & depa & kanan & jedi, 32.7k     Tales of the Jedi: Stories about lightsabers, masters, and apprentices. ✦ Stars of Tatooine by Be_Right_Back, ahsoka & mace & kanan & obi-wan & rex & cast, 10.5k     After the end of the world, Ahsoka more or less kidnaps a child, has to air some old grievances, and tries to find whatever peace the universe can still offer. All paths in the Force lead home, eventually. ✦ The Uses of a Sandwich by Laura Kaye (laurakaye), obi-wan & qui-gon & yoda & cast, 17.6k     A few months after being taken as a Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi faces a challenge: meeting his Master's first apprentice. ✦ Familes Found by fyrefly, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & padme & mace & plo, 8.2k     In a universe where "The Wrong Jedi" never happened, the war ends under different circumstances and perhaps everyone will get a chance at a happy ending after all.
SHORT AND YET SO GOOD-LENGTH: ✦ The Mathematics of Repair by panharmonium, obi-wan & anakin & cast, 4.6k     For raw teachers and rough-edged students building in the rubble: tiny steps are enough, provided they carry you in the right direction. Immediately post TPM, in short snippets. ✦ The Living Force; Parables for Padawans by glorious_clio, obi-wan & cast, 6.1k     Since infancy, younglings are taught the Jedi Code, “Emotion, yet peace. Ignorance, yet knowledge. Passion, yet serenity. Chaos, yet harmony. Death, yet the Force.” Obi-Wan Kenobi learns these tenets backwards and forwards again. But even as a child, he is interested in nuance. And so his teachers tell him parables. ✦ A Jedi's Cloak ImperialKatwala, obi-wan & anakin & qui-gon & cody & rex, 6.4k Jedi cloaks are made for children. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a year and a half old when he first sees this principle in action. He is fourteen, twenty-five, twenty-nine, and thirty-six when he gets a reminder.     Or: Jedi cloaks are weird. Here's a series of events showing why they're made that way. ✦ the master, the padawan, the Force by skatzaa, kanan & depa. 1.4k     Caleb expects things to be different after Master Depa takes him as her padawan, but really, it feels like nothing really changes. ✦ For the Future of the Order by thetorontokid, obi-wan & qui-gon & cast, 3.9k     There are important lessons to be found in the Jedi Temple creche.
✦ Memories of Peace by Margan, obi-wan & clones, 2k     It's not quite flash training, but the Clones are used to learning fast. It helps that this is something that they actually look forward to learning, to putting into practice. Obi-Wan teaches the Clones how to make dumplings in the middle of war. ✦ Liberosis by Be_Right_Back, anakin & mace & yoda & jedi, 2.2k     The war is over, the Sith are gone, and there is now Anakin Skywalker's secret marriage to deal with. While love is a wonderful thing, some truths are hard to face, and letting go is the destiny of all Jedi. Or: the Council and Anakin clash. It doesn't go as terribly as it could have. ✦ Accepting Emotion by LazarusII, obi-wan & ahsoka, 1.1k     Dealing with the stress and anxiety of being a prospective Padawan, Ahsoka Tano struggles to manage her emotions. Obi-Wan Kenobi finds her practicing in the dojo, confidence in tatters. His words make all the difference. ✦ A Long, Long Time Ago by ruth baulding, dooku & qui-gon + qui-gon & obi-wan + obi-wan & anakin + anakin & ahsoka, 5.8k     A wisdom tale handed passed down through the generations poses troublesome questions for a line of masters and Padawans, from Dooku to Ahsoka Tano.
✦ Duet by Silver Sky 1138, oc & cin, 2.3k     Asha Scarsi, the Jedi Padawan who feels the Force through music, isn't half as good at lightsaber combat as she is at singing and mindtricks. So she's a little nervous when Battlemaster Cin Drallig calls her to the training room after class. ✦ The One Where Anakin Tries to Be Serious by GirlwithCurls98, anakin & ahsoka, 1k     Even though they're fighting a war, Anakin finds the time to lead his apprentice through one of the Jedi's sacred ceremonies. ✦ Obi-Wan and the Force by AwayOHumanChild, obi-wan & cast, ~1k     One of the first things Jedi Initiates learn is that everyone experiences the Force differently.
✦ Night Shift at the Temple by ReneeoftheStars, oc jedi & cast, 1.8k     A Jedi Temple Guard sees all, speaks to few, and has attachments to no one. One must be prepared for any threats that may arise, especially at night, while most of the Temple sleeps. ✦ The Orchards by Raven_Knight, obi-wan & qui-gon & cast, 3.6k     When young Obi-Wan Kenobi is injured on a previous mission, Qui-Gon Jinn refuses to accept further off-planet missions until his Padawan's recovery. Yoda assigns the pair an in-Temple mission of utmost importance while Obi-Wan heals. Master and Padawan welcome the change of pace. ✦ Tipping Point by Ria Talla (ronia), adi gallia & finis valorum & eeth koth, 3.3k     "I believe that if what's happening on Naboo is allowed to continue, the other member systems will wonder what they owe to a Republic that can no longer protect them." ✦ A Personal Touch by DragonHoardsBooks, obi-wan & anakin, 6.2k     New jedi padawan Anakin Skywalker realizes that there is more to being a jedi then he tought. Discovering a completely new culture will take time and effort, but maybe he'll make some friends along the way.
✦ Jedi Parables by Peppermint_Shamrock, jedi, 5.8k     Values are often passed down generation to generation through stories, parables, and fables. What stories might the Jedi teach their children? ✦ Songs for Little Jedi by soft_but_gremlin, mace & jedi, ~1k     The initiates are having nightmares, so Mace sings a lullaby to comfort them. ✦ a thin thread of hope by wrennette, shaak & clones, ~1k     Shaak Ti introduces some cadets to one of her favourite crafts, under the guise of training. ✦ rah kat by js71, obi-wan & anakin & aayla, 1.6k     "Aay’shee," Obi-Wan murmurs into her ear, rocking her gently, like when jaieh was off on a mission she couldn’t go on, so her jaieh-raheniel would take turns having her over at their apartments. ✦ Lessons on Attachment by Siri_Kenobi12, obi-wan & anakin/padme & cast, 2.7k     "Anakin once told me that a Jedi is actually encouraged to love." She said after Obi-Wan had settled. ✦ Straw Dogs by Cymbidia, obi-wan & jedi & cast, 2.9k     An old Jedi Master imparts some wisdom concerning Mercy, Balance, and the Will of the Force to young Padawan Obi-wan Kenobi and a gaggle of other younglings. It is a lesson that haunts Obi-wan for the rest of his life. ✦ Refractions of Light by Independence1776, ezra & kanan, 1.3k     Kanan celebrates a Jedi holiday with Ezra.
✦ The grand outing by Ingata, dooku & sifo-dyas & obi-wan & bant & garen & reeft & yoda & cast, 4.5k     Eight younglings and two Jedi masters on a field trip. What could possibly go wrong? ✦ A Short Break by Peppermint_Shamrock, luke & yoda, ~1k     Luke complains about his training, and asks about Jedi training of old. ✦ we are made of our longest days by bereft_of_frogs, obi-wan & anakin & cast, 4.4k     Two years after the events of The Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan and his new apprentice are called to a remote moon to fetch a baby who’s showing signs of a rare, unique power. On their journey home, Obi-Wan reflects on the last child he brought to the Temple and catches a faint glimpse of three possibly entwining futures. ✦ yellow, you're a dreamer by nightdotlight, jocasta & anakin (& obi-wan), 2.6k     Normally, it wouldn’t be unusual, but— Jocasta did not earn her post without listening, and from where she stands in the aisle, gaze fixed upon the back of the young child’s shaking shoulders, she can hear a sniffle reverberate around the space. There’s a child curled up in the corner of the Archives— and they’re crying. ✦ once upon a time (a long, long time ago) by thebitterbeast, barriss & mace & shaak & ki-adi & bacara & trilla & cere, 2.3k     The Jedi love children. Children love stories. This changes some things. ✦ not the place that I was born in (doesn't mean it's not the place where I belong) by ghostwriterofthemachine, obi-wan & anakin, 5k     “What were you consulting Master Obi-Wan about?” “Tea!” says the other Padawan brightly. “I’m performing a tea ceremony for my Master, one that originates from her home world. It’ll be the first time I sit foveo with her!” She says that word— foveo— as if it should mean something to Anakin. It does not. ✦ A Friend Indeed by ExtraPenguin, plo & ahsoka, 3.3k     After their rescue of the colonists of Kiros, Ahsoka Tano's Master asks for her to be sent on a mission away from the front. She ends up being sent to the Deep Core with Master Plo Koon to investigate one of the first known locations of the Jedi Order, since abandoned. ✦ In which we burn bodies as bridges by GraceEliz, obi-wan & ahsoka & depa & kanan & ezra, 1.4k     Lineage mantras, and the processing of grief. ✦ Five Times Mace was There for Obi-Wan, and One Time Obi-Wan Returned the Favour by wrennette, obi-wan & mace, 4k     five of the many times Mace Windu offered Obi-Wan comfort over the years, and one of the many times Obi-Wan returned the favour
✦ as the dust settled around us by thebitterbeast, finn & jedi, 5.2k     Bravery has never been the absence of fear. Prompt: There is no emotion, there is peace. ✦ Adi Gallia, Master of the Order by Perspicacia, adi & jedi, 7.2k wip     Palpatine didn't expect it. It was too soon for that in his plans: which Jedi would have left the Temple under assault? But Adi had. Ashes in her heart, she had left the younglings and the elders and the wounded for her duty to the galaxy, choosing to stop the Sith instead of protecting her people. ✦ “The Padawan Chooses The Master” by lurkingcrow, obi-wan & anakin & cast, 3.6k     prompt: AU - The Jedi say “The Padawan Chooses The Master” Qui Gon lives, Obi Wan is very preoccupied, and Anakin is put into the creche as an Initiate to learn what he can until Qui Gon wakes up from his coma and gets yelled at by the Council. In the meantime, Anakin meets other Jedi Masters and when the Council asks him who he wants to be his teacher, his answer isn’t Qui Gon. Instead it’s *insert your fav Jedi here* ✦ The Only Home We Know by ReneeoftheStars, katooni & petro & ganodi & byph & gungi & zaft & cast, character death, child death, 2.4k     The Jedi Temple is under attack. Determined to fight for their home, younglings Katooni, Petro, Zatt, Ganodi, Byph, and Gungi make their way to aid the Jedi Masters in defense of the Temple. But the situation is far graver than they expected. ✦ Obi-Wan and the Force by AwayOHumanChild, obi-wan & cast, ~1k     One of the first things Jedi Initiates learn is that everyone experiences the Force differently. ✦ The One Where Anakin Tries to Be Serious by Mini_and_Might, anakin & ahsoka, 1k     Even though they're fighting a war, Anakin finds the time to lead his apprentice through one of the Jedi's sacred ceremonies. Might become part of a series of missing scenes from the Clone Wars. ✦ Markings by wabbajack, ahsoka & plo, 1.6k     In which it is revealed that Master Plo Koon has always had a difficult time putting his foot down when faced with his Little 'Soka. ✦ The First Trial by Raven_Knigh, obi-wan & qui-gon, 2k     Accompanied by his Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, young Obi-Wan Kenobi undergoes his first trial and rite as a Padawan Learner on the frozen planet of Ilum.
✦ Arrival by CJinn, obi-wan & yoda & jedi, 2.6k     Little Obi-Wan was only a few days old when he was brought to the Jedi Temple. His arrival caused some confusion among the Jedi. ✦ The Spire by skatzaa, obi-wan & jedi, 2.4k     The galaxy was on the brink of war, and Obi-Wan Kenobi had been assigned a new room. ✦ Room Arrangements by skatzaa, obi-wan & anakin, 2.2k     Anakin has some concerns about room arrangements at the Temple. Obi-Wan does his best to reassure him. ✦ Lineage by virdant, obi-wan & anakin & yoda & jedi, 1.5k     Anakin is new to the temple, and he does not yet understand that these are his brothers and sisters, his cousins, his uncles and aunts. He does not know yet, but he will learn, Obi-Wan thinks. ✦ A Discussion of Choices by Peppermint_Shamrock, luke & mace, 2k     Mace Windu has traveled the galaxy since the fall of the Republic, keeping out of the Empire's sight and teaching where he can. Upon the request of a ghost of an old friend, Mace finds himself instructing Luke Skywalker, who is still reeling from the truth of Vader's identity. ✦ Emotion is our Shared Tongue by virdant, obi-wan & anakin & qui-gon & quinlan & jedi, 2.1k     There are thousands of different species, with different languages and voices and hands, but what all Jedi have in common is the Force, and with the Force, they have language. ✦ To Know by Armin_05, obi-wan & anakin & shmi & kitster & fives & cast, 4.8k     Nearly all Jedi love learning. Anakin Skywalker is no different. Or, how Anakin found a love of learning and shared it with others. ✦ Shatterpoints and Students by soft_but_gremlin, mace & depa, ~1k     Depa always has shatterpoints hovering around her.
✦ Home-onym by virdant, jedi, 1.1k     Jedi younglings, like any other children, enjoy playing. Playing with lightsabers and playing with words. ✦ Threaded Lineage by Pandora151, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & kanan & ezra & luke & rey, 2.9k     The journey of a single river stone through many generations of Jedi, allowing the Jedi of the old and the Jedi of the future to be threaded together. ✦ the river and the rock by nightdotlight, anakin & luminara, 1.8k     Lightsabers clash, and Luminara Unduli holds her ground. PALPATINE: My dear boy. The only thing that we are discussing right now is what you want.
ANAKIN: Hm. Okay, world peace for Padmé, a Best Jedi mug for Obi-Wan - no, that's not me being bitchy, he literally will not accept a bigger gift...
PALPATINE: Yes, you shall have it all. Just -
ANAKIN: Oh, I'm not done. A billion... no, you know what, a trillion credits for Ahsoka, rights for the clones plus backpay and overtime for the war, full rights to their own genetic code, a special vode-only tribune that will investigate Kaminoans and natborn officers for sentient rights violations...
PALPATINE:
ANAKIN: ... slavery is to be abolished across the galaxy, I and any vode who want to join me will be sanctioned by the Republic to hunt down slavers, starting with Tatooine, hair cream for Windu - okay, that one is me being bitchy - and, well, I guess I'd want a fleet of the absolute best ships for me. As a treat.
PALPATINE: I see. Are you done?
ANAKIN: I guess. How soon can you deliver?
PALPATINE: Well. As it stands... it might... take some time.
ANAKIN: That's cool. You can get all the legal stuff done tomorrow, just call in a special session of the Senate, but I get that commissioning a fleet will take some time. I didn't even give you a list of models or anything.
PALPATINE: ... yes. I can't help but to think that you're disregarding your wife's safety here.
ANAKIN: Oh, no. I'm being smart.
PALPATINE: You are?
ANAKIN: Yup. Padmé is a completely healthy woman. Her pregnancy is very low risk. So, if she's going to die in childbirth, it's got to have something to do with the war, right? If we end the war, there's no danger to Padmé.
PALPATINE: Have you forgotten what I told you about Darth Plagueis the Wise?
ANAKIN: No, but if I use Sith Magic to save her, she's probably going to turn into a zombie or something. Trust me, Chancellor, I've seen it before.
PALPATINE: I'm afraid to ask, but where have you seen zombies?
ANAKIN: Eh, you can check my mission reports. Anyways, if you just hand me your credit chit, I can get to buying Obi-Wan that mug, giving Ahsoka the trillion and all that.
PALPATINE: Well, I...
ANAKIN: And if you don't want to go through with this, I'm definitely going to murder you right now. You being a Sith Lord and all that.
PALPATINE: Oh.
ANAKIN: Yeah.
PALPATINE: Well, here's my credit chit.
ANAKIN: Thanks, Sheev! Just one more question. What are you getting out of this?
PALPATINE: ... I'm going to declare myself Emperor and bring about the age of the Sith.
ANAKIN: Okay, that's cool.
PALPATINE: It... is?
ANAKIN: Sure. I mean, you basically are an emperor already, and we have freedom of religion. Just make sure that your Empire is strictly democratic, or else Padmé's going to be mad at me.
PALPATINE: I... what? The purpose of an Empire is to do away with democracy! Cut away the rot of bureaucracy!
ANAKIN: Chancellor, do you remember the conversation we had just now about me murdering you?
PALPATINE: Yes, but you hate the Republic too!
ANAKIN: I know, but work stuff can't come between me and Padmé. One of the rules of a successful marriage. Anyways, get it done. I gotta go buy a mug and some hair cream.

PEACE! Supreme Chancellor / Emperor-Elect Sheev Palpatine has announced the immediate cessation of hostilities between the Republic and the CIS along with a slew of other groundbreaking proposals. The Supreme Chancellor stated that with the death of General Grievous...
The Coruscant Herald spoke with Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, also known as the Negotiator.
"I've got this mug." said Master Kenobi, before launching into a protracted rant about the state of our democracy.
"I got back from Utapau, and Anakin tells me that he 'kind of' turned to the Dark Side. How do you 'kind of' turn? But now we have galactic peace. But we also have an Emperor. Well, in three days we will have an Emperor. But the Emperor is going to have less power than the Supreme Chancellor has right now, and they're the same person. Not to mention that he's the Sith. My entire life has turned into a philosophical nightmare on whether the ends justify the means, and it's all being personified by this blasted mug." ...
Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo had a brief conversation with the Herald.
"Well, I think of it like a retirement present. A lifetime achievement award. He is an older man, and no doubt he'll abdicate in due time. This will be an interesting footnote in the history of the Republic." ...
Spokesbeing for the Shmi Skywalker Foundation, Anakin Skywalker spoke at length with our reporter.
"Well, we at the Shmi Skywalker Foundation offer only two things: freedom to slaves and death to slavers. And sometimes imprisonment to slavers, because Obi-Wan and Padmé were pretty adamant about that. And also financial aid, legal aid, housing, therapy, et cetera. For the freed people. So I guess we offer more than two things, but they're all good things."
"Sheev? Sheev is great. A nice old man. I think he's going to abdicate in, oh, three years or so? [Editor's Note: Transcript is garbled due to the Emperor-Elect coughing suddenly.] [...Yo]u need a glass of water, Sheev? Get him - yeah, one of you red guys, get him a glass of water. You're not a young man anymore, Sheev. Yeah, I think he'll abdicate within three years."
Emperor-Elect Sheev Palpatine declined to comment at this time.

Tumblr media
My heart pounds as I run down the halls. My hands were tingling and moistened with agitation. I huff when I catch sight of the space craft.
I swipe an arm and, using my Force, a pair of stormtroopers crash to the side, clearing my passage.
The footsteps thundering towards me grows louder when I get to the ship and pry the door open with my Force. Just as I'm about to get into the vehicle, a scorching blow hits my leg, then my shoulder. A loud cry leaves my lips before I can even think.
Similarly, I hear painful screaming from afar. "Didn't I say to hold your fire?!"
My panic heightens at the echo of that voice. Through the excruciating pain, I tell myself to push forward. This was it, after all, this was the opening to the freedom I was waiting for.
But the next thing I knew, a dark Force overcame me, and I didn't have enough strength to break free of it.
I thud into the arms of my captor, and whine in pain. I clench my jaw and slowly lift my eyes, glaring at him.
My expression is vaguely reflected on the Supreme Leader's black mask. He sighs before speaking, "you reap what you sow."
I growl and hiss, "and soon will you."
He carries me in his arms, all the way back to my prison cell. He sets me down on his bed l, and as he takes off his helmet, I fling him back with Force, making him lose his balance.
The man doesn't topple though. What only happens is his dark hair falls onto his face. He tilts his head, "childish."
I scoff, "I'm glad you're self-aware."
The Sith Lord says nothing in response. He walks off, props his helmet on his cabinet, and opens a drawer. He walks over to me with bandages and ointment.
I raise a brow as he sits on my side, "you're not going to heal me?"
"The pain will be good for you," he replies, grabbing my injured leg with little regard.
I whine and shift to lessen my discomfort. He begins to lather ointment on my laser gash.
As he does this in silence, and as I behold his profile, his nose, his lips, his lashes, I see flashes of the past from his face. I see a memory of when we were younger, both still under the guidance of our master, Luke. I see his sweet smile, hear his soft laugh, feel his tender kiss... my Ben.
Of course, we were young fools in love. Deep down, we knew we could never be; attachments were dangerous. And yet he promised me himself and I promised him myself, and somehow he believes that was the same as us being married.
That was why he captured me. That was why he was binding my wounds. That was why he was unwilling to let me go. According to him, I was the balance the galaxy craved, I was the balance he long yearned for.
"We are married," he says, a-matter-of-factly.
My face sours, "get out of my head."
"Even if you did, even if you managed to run," he turns to me, one hand gripping my knee, "you think I would just let you go?"
We stare at each other for a while.
"After all I've done to have you?" he narrows his eyes.
"You wouldn't be able to find me," I lean in as I retort.
He leans closer, "and yet you would eventually surrender because your heart is weak."
I whine when he pulls the bandage around me tighter than necessary.
"Your soft heart would not bear the destruction I'd exact on the stars to find you," he ties the bandage and turns back to me. He scoffs under his breath, "you and your empathy."
The last of what remained of Ben Solo stared at me. Perhaps I was the only one delusional enough to see it. He was barely there in face, and in soul, I fear he may be lost forever.
I turn away.
He releases my leg and grabs my arm, "take your top off."
I decide not to put up a fight, there was no point. I take my burnt top off so he could wrap the injury on my shoulder blade.
He moves me so my back is turned to him. He stares at my wound for a prolonged moment. I am tempted to look back at him when I realize he felt pity for me.
"You shouldn't have run."
I don't look back, "you shouldn't have chased after-" I hiss when he applies ointment on my burn.
"You shouldn't have run," he repeats, harder this time.
"Kylo, please-"
"What?"
I look over my shoulder.
"What did you just call me?"
His expression is that of shock and excitement. I quickly correct myself, "Ben. Your name is B-"
"That's not my name," he raises a finger, "that's not what you said-"
"That's what I mea-"
"Say that again, say it," Kylo mutters. His voice becomes shaky, "I want to hear you say it."
I clench my jaw and shake my head. "Your name is Ben Solo."
He releases a deep breath.
I grab his cheeks. It was the first time I had ever willingly touched him, and so tenderly at that, "that is your name. That is who you--"
"Ben is dead," Kylo grabs my wrists, yanking me away from him.
My heart races when I feel the hot air from his lungs.
"I am all that's left," he whispers, brows furrowing. His voice is shaky again, "Ben was weak. He could not even speak his love for you out loud," he shakes his head, "not me. I would make sure the whole galaxy knows my love for you."
I gasp when he grabs my face and kisses me. I immediately shove him away, and when I do, this man with wide, glassy eyes stares back at me.
For once, his face evokes something more than anger out of me. I see his desperation and it pinches my heart.
"Ben-"
"That's not my name," he blurts, snapping out of his trance and jumping to his feet. His moment of vulnerability was over. Staring down at me now was no one else besides the Supreme Leader of the First Order. He wipes his face and blankness falls on his features.
I mean to call his name out again but he speaks before I can.
"I will have a medic attend to your wounds," he says flatly, "don't think to flee while I'm gone."
I watch him walk out of the door.

PART TWO
✧ Dream Upon A Star ✧
Tumblr media
In the swirling galaxy of stars deep within the cosmos, there nests an ethereal realm. A mystical domain inhabited by celestial beings: the star fairies, moon guardians, cosmic weavers, seasonal spirits, and celestial animals. All of which were created and governed by their supreme ruler.
At the center of the realm towers a magnificent fortress that rises high into the cosmos—Caer Arianrhod, the Spiral Castle. Its walls glow with soft celestial light, creating an ever-changing display of colors reminiscent of the auroras. Its towers reach into the heavens, crowned with observatories.
In the heart of the castle is the Hall of Stars, a grand hall with an open ceiling where stars and galaxies are visible in their full splendor. Here, Lyrael, the first weaver of the celestial loom, awaits her queen.
Not long after, a silver light appeared. It turned into a swirling vortex of stars, and from there, Arianrhod emerged. Her arrival resonated within the realm, informing its inhabitants of their queen’s return.
“Welcome home, your highness,” Lyrael greeted with a bow. Before Arianrhod could even respond, her celestial owl flew quickly towards her, landing on her arm.
“Lunara!” the goddess greeted as she petted her owl’s head. “Hello, Lyrael,” she said, acknowledging her attendant. She walked towards her throne, owl still on her arm, as Lyrael followed.
“How did the convention go, my queen?” Lyrael asked the moment the queen had sat. Arianrhod told her the events that transpired, especially about the certain Endless.
“I am glad to know that you had a great time, Lady Star,” Lyrael replied. “Surely, the Lord of Dreams had one as well.”
Upon the mention of the Endless, Arianrhod’s curiosity peaked. “Is there anything you know about him?” She asked.
“Not much, my lady,” Lyrael answered. “Only from the fate of those whom he loved.”
Arianrhod decided that it was a story for another day as it was time to return to her duties. Lunara flew off her arm as she stood from the throne. Quickly, she made her way into the Chamber of Destinies where she did most of her work.
The queen can mostly be found attending to her duties in two places: the Chamber of Destinies, and the Stellar Observatory.
In the Chamber of Destinies, ornate pedestals are arranged in a circular formation around the perimeter of the chamber. The pedestals radiate outward from the center in spiraling patterns. They are also arranged in tier levels, with each level rising slightly higher than the one before it.
On top of each pedestal are the Fate Wheels, miniature versions of the much larger Silver Wheel found in the Hall of Stars. Each wheel represents the path of an individual. It is Arianrhod’s duty to ensure that they continue to spin. Otherwise, it would disrupt the Silver Wheel that holds the collective destiny of humanity as a whole.
The Stellar Observatory, on the other hand, is located at the top of the castle’s towers. In there, Arianrhod, together with the Cosmic Weavers, control the cosmic energies that govern the universe. They ensure that the movement of stars, planets, and galaxies synchronizes the rhythm of time.
However, a duty unique to the goddess, aside from the maintenance of the Fate Wheels, is the mending of rifts in the fabric of space-time. She is the one who repairs the cosmic anomalies and deals with those who intend to disturb the cosmos.
This is how the goddess had spent her life since the beginning of time, and how she will continue to do so in the entirety of her immortal life. Or so she thought.
She rarely leaves her realm; only on situations that require her presence—like the recent convention—and her intervention on mortals that negatively affects the Silver Wheel.
Before she knew it, it had been months, in mortal terms, since the convention. Specifically, the first time she met Morpheus. Often, she found her thoughts returning to him.
But as many times she thought of him, were the times she tried not to care. However, in moments like this where her presence is not needed in the chamber nor the observatory, when she is solitarily sitting on her throne, she wonders about him.
“My lady,” Lyrael called, disrupting Arianrhod’s thoughts. “Have you been feeling unwell?”
Arianrhod looked at her. Confused, she asked, “No, why?”
Lyrael sighed, a bit hesitant. “You don’t seem like yourself lately,” she started. “There are times you stare off in the distance like something’s on your mind.”
“Is there something wrong in the realm?” She asked, knowing that there is highly likely nothing outside of the Corona Borealis that would bother you. Unless there are threats but in that case, you would’ve acted to eliminate them immediately. So she settled with the conclusion that something might be going on in the realm.
“Perhaps, in the Lunar Gardens?” Lyrael continued. She remembered what the Star Fairies said—that the queen had frequented there. It was unusual because Arianrhod is a burner of the midnight oil; all she thought about was her duties. In other words, she isn’t one to spend her time on such trivialities as gardening.
For the first time, Arianrhod was at a loss for words, a loss for explanations. “Forgive me,” she said. “Perhaps I just need to…”
“But The Dreaming will always open its gates to you.”
“My lady?” Lyrael asked, urging Arianrhod to continue.
“…sleep,” the queen continued. Poor Lyrael continued to be baffled but she chose to keep it to herself. She is unsure of what’s happening except for one thing: the queen has never been in her sanctum for as far as she can remember.
In Arianrhod’s chamber, there’s an astral window enchanted to reveal different celestial phenomena. However, this time, it remained an ordinary one that gave her a view of the Lunar Gardens.
The Stellar Blooms mirrored the heavens as they looked like stars on the ground. She thought of the one she gave to Morpheus and wondered how it was doing.
She glanced from the window to her bed. Her canopy bed looked so inviting. She never slept—she didn’t need sleep. Rest was a concept she observed in others, not one she partook in herself.
But for the first time, she was curious.
And so she walked over to her bed, sitting on its edge before letting herself lie down.
Then she closed her eyes.
“My lord,” Lucienne calls to Morpheus who stares at the stained glass panes of his castle. It had shifted back to its original form just before Lucienne could see what he was looking at.
“A divine being has entered The Dreaming,” she informed.
“I am aware, Lucienne,” Morpheus said. “I shall welcome them into The Dreaming.” In the blink of an eye, he was gone.
On the bridge held up by massive stone hands, Arianrhod stands in awe. It was daylight wherever she looked. This realm resembled Earth; she hadn’t been there for a long time—the brightness almost hurt her eyes.
She closed her eyes and gently rubbed it. “To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?” She almost jumped in surprise at the voice that came out of nowhere.
Morpheus stood behind her. As Arianrhod turned, he felt his heart skip a beat. Their eyes met, and the warm feeling inside him resurfaced.
For a moment, he could not believe it. He was just looking at the memory of her on the stained glass panes earlier, as he did every day since the moment he met her.
And now she’s here, in his realm, looking just as beautiful in daylight as she was under the light of a thousand stars.
She smiled, “I am not certain.” She didn’t want to admit that she came here on purpose. “I fell asleep. And it brought me here, to your realm.”
Morpheus looked at her with deep, knowing eyes. “Welcome to The Dreaming, Lady of the Silver Wheel,” he said with a faint smile.
Arianrhod was the first to break the eye contact. She looked around again, now seeing better after her eyes had adjusted.
“This place is beautiful,” she said.
Morpheus kept himself from telling her that The Dreaming pales in comparison to her—and now that she’s here, there is nothing else in his realm more beautiful than her.
Too captivated, Arianrhod almost forgot about the Stellar Bloom. “Oh, does it turn night here?” She asked. “The Stellar Bloom wouldn’t thrive in this condition.”
“The celestial flower is alive and well, Star,” he said. “I made sure to follow your instructions.”
Morpheus held his hand out. Sand swirled on top of it until a small pot appeared. In his hand was the Stellar Bloom, planted in a pot.
Arianrhod was delighted to see the flower. Morpheus saw the twinkle in her eyes as she looked at it.
She held her hand out in an attempt to sprinkle it with stardust. However, to her surprise, nothing came out of it. Then, she realized—she was powerless in The Dreaming.
As if reading her thoughts, Morpheus spoke, “You must come here in person to be able to use your powers.”
Morpheus sent the flower back to its place in his chamber, leaving nothing but traces of sand on his hand.
Arianrhod squinted at him. “Why should I?” She asked referring to his invitation.
Morpheus stepped forward, standing close to her once again, but this time, without the flower in between them. He looked at her eyes intently, his gaze unfaltering.
“Since our meeting at the convention, I have found my thoughts often returning to you,” Morpheus said.
He took another step closer. Morpheus’s eyes reflected a glimpse of rare vulnerability.
“I wish you to be the queen of my realm, Star,” he said. Arianrhod felt her heart flutter. “Will you allow me this?”
“Very well, Dream,” she replied. “I shall allow it.”
But before Morpheus could even smile, she stepped back. “IF you fulfill my conditions,” she smirked.
He was surprised, yet fascinated. “You challenge me, Star?” He asked, his lips forming into a smirk as well.
“Not a lot knows about me. But those who do, call me…” Arianrhod replied, leaning close. “…the goddess who challenges”—and that, she will continue to be. She wouldn’t allow herself to be fooled by any man again.
“What are your conditions, my lady?” Morpheus asked. Someday, that title will no longer be used just for formality. He will make sure—it will be used to refer to her as his woman.
Arianrhod stepped back, smiling. “First,” she said. “You need to show me the entirety of The Dreaming.”
Morpheus looked in disbelief, but he was delighted. “That’s easy,” he said. “We can even start now.”
“I know, Dream Lord,” Arianrhod agreed. “But you can’t show me the dreaming if I’m not here.” She moved to walk past Morpheus
“Which is why,” she continued, turning around when she’s past Morpheus. “Our little tour of The Dreaming would take place only when I stumble upon here.”
Morpheus didn’t know what he would feel, but the challenge added a thrill. Although, he did not understand the need to delay. The only theory he could come up with was that she might be playing with him.
“Second,” Arianrhod said. “You need to be able to find my realm.”
That piqued Morpheus’s interest. No one—not Death, and not even Destiny, who, among the Endless, is the one who could have direct connections to the goddess associated with time cycles, knew the name nor whereabouts of her realm.
“Third,” continued Arianrhod. “You have to make me fall in love with you.”
There was a moment of silence between the two. Arianrhod breaks the silence. “You can always find someone else, Dream,” she said. “Maybe I’m worth the gamble, maybe I’m not.”
“I’m just not that easy of a woman, Dream,” she continued. “I have my own realm to attend to. And I don’t want to compromise it.”
It was Morpheus’s turn to speak. “Very well,” he said. “You’ve named your conditions, and I shall give my all to fulfill them.”
Arianrhod nodded. “Well then,” she said. “Until my next visit, Lord of—“
“Before you go,” Morpheus cut her statement. His sand once again swirled on his hand, later revealing a flower.
It had pale blue petals with delicate silver veins. Its center, a cluster of tiny, luminous white stamens. The stem is a deep indigo. Its leaves are broad and velvety, dark green with a subtle silver lining.
“For you,” Morpheus said, handing it to Arianrhod. The goddess was surprised. She carefully took it in her hands, holding it by the stem.
She places it near her nose. Its fragrance, delicate and enchanting. “What flower is this?” She asked.
Morpheus smirked, “You’ll have to come again to find out.”
What Arianrhod didn’t know, was Morpheus created it the moment he returned to The Dreaming after the convention. He ought to give you something in return—something that could also thrive in a cosmic realm, like the flowers at the Nexus. He spent days perfecting this flower, he’s just glad he was able to give it to you.
“Clever,” Arianrhod chuckled. “Well then, Lord of Dreams. We shall see each other again.”
Morpheus gently took her hand and pressed it upon his lips,” I eagerly wait for your return, Lady Star.”

Context
Hux. Short version, Hux reveals Kylo killing Snoke to the FIrst Order leadership. Hux ousts Ben and becomes Supreme Leader. Now Hux plans to exterminate The Jedi, force sensitives everywhere and lead to the death of the force. Long version read here.
Kylo as the villain. Adam Driver said the plan was never to redeem Ben Solo, that was a late change to appease everyone. So my big pitch for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. To me Kylo Ren is what Vader could’ve been had he reached his full potential. A Vader who was never wounded on Mustafar, a Vader who killed a close family member and his master. He is the villain they were looking for, but no they had to course correct. As for what his motivation could be, exactly what he said. Finish what Vader started. Destroy the Light and reign over the galaxy as Supreme Leader. Long version. Other look at Kylo as the villain
Snoke's essence transferred into Kylo Ren the moment he killed Snoke.
Darth Plagueis was a powerful Sith Lord who could influence the midichlorians to create life and also save others from dying. He taught everything he knew to his apprentice, Sheev Palpatine (aka Darth Sidious), but he eventually lost his power and young Palpatine killed him in his sleep. How could Plagueis not foresee his own demise at the hands of his ambitious apprentice? Why did Plagueis suddenly “lose his power”? The truth is, he didn’t lose his power and he knew Sidious planned to kill him. It was part of the plan. By dying, I believe Darth Plagueis was able to transmit himself into Sheev and assume control of his body, almost like an infectious disease. Ever notice his name? Darth Plagueis. Plague, as in an infectious disease. Darth Plagueis unlocked the secret to immortality by moving from one body to the next, continuing his lifespan through multiple hosts over countless years. Ever wonder why Palpatine was so obsessed with training a powerful young apprentice? Surely he knew that one day the apprentice would want to overthrow him, so why train his own murderer? In Return of the Jedi, Emperor Palpatine continually provokes Luke to strike him down. Why would Palpatine want to be killed if the goal is longevity? Because Emperor Palpatine was assumed by Darth Plagueis and, through his death, he would then be able to transmit himself into a new host body. He wasn’t just looking for an apprentice, he was looking for a new body since Palpatine’s body was growing old. Luke Skywalker was meant to be the next host body for Darth Plagueis. But unfortunately for Plagueis, Darth Vader had a change of heart and defeated the Emperor. Snoke was Plagueis. It’s the only way to make things work. StarWars.com describes Snoke as a seeker of arcane and ancient lore, and the Last Jedi Visual Dictionary shows that he is a collector of rare memorabilia. At some point, Snoke must have found the wreckage of the Death Star on the forest moon Endor, and was infected by Darth Plagueis when he came upon the corpse of Palpatine. Did you ever wonder why Snoke thought it was so important to complete Kylo Ren’s training? It’s because Snoke was Darth Plagueis and he was training his next host body. Plagueis didn’t have a choice but to infect a really old political influencer like Snoke. Kylo was being groomed to become the next host body. Remember the infamous scene in The Last Jedi where Snoke is “predicting” how Kylo Ren will kill Rey? Wasn’t it a little too obvious? Wouldn’t Snoke have been able to foresee Kylo’s treachery? See through his conflict? It’s because he wasn’t predicting Rey’s death, he predicted his own. He knew Kylo would kill him. He deliberately bullied and provoked Kylo in order to stir his anger into hatred to further fuel his dark side and lead him to completing his training.
So Darth Plagueis goal would be to transfer his essence into Rey and in failing in that. He will drain the life force from the Dyad to satiate his own life force.
Thrawn. Cardinal West's Sequel Trilogy rewrite has the best take of Thrawn as the villain
youtube
Rae Sloane.
Rae Sloane founded The First Order! Sloane was loyal to the Empire, so much so, rather than allowing it to cease to exist, she recruited other loyalists and they fled to the Unknown Territories beyond Jakku. She founded the First Order. Together with Hux, she could usurp control of the First Order and become Supreme Leader, which would start a civil war, those loyal to Sloane and those loyal to Kylo. We can have someone who could be a great antagonist to Leia. The founder of The First Order and the mother of the Resistance. What makes Rae a compelling character is the fact that she believes what the Empire is doing is right. In her eyes, the Empire is doing the right thing, purging lawlessness from a galaxy overrun by bureaucrats that care little for the common people. She’s wrong, but like great villains before her, audiences can see where she’s coming from even if they don’t agree with it. Throughout her many appearances in the supplemental Star Wars narratives, she is constantly pushing for the Empire to be “just.” When things start to fall apart after the Battle of Endor, Rae struggles to keep the remnants of the fleet playing by the unspoken rules of warfare and is frustrated to see the Empire careen into backstabbing and incompetence. You can see Rae’s influence in the First Order with its strict hierarchy and minute by-the-books stringency that makes Palpatine’s Empire look positively laissez-faire by comparison. Supreme Leader Rae Sloane would make The First Order a force to be reckoned with and what better way to end it than with the First Order’s founder?
The Grysks.
The Grysks were introduced in the new canon novel Thrawn:Alliances. They are what brings Thrawn to the Empire in hopes of co-existing to fight this threat in the Unknown Regions. Grysks are a species living somewhere in the Unknown Regions. Creatures half of myth, whom few have ever seen. It is said that they are nomads, with no fixed home, traveling in spacecraft so numerous they blot out the stars. They are said to be terrifying warriors, overwhelming their opponents by sheer numbers and ferocity. The fact that these intergalactic conquerors are not the main threat in the Sequel Trilogy is baffling. You could’ve had Ben Solo sense they were coming during his Jedi days and made the ultimate sacrifice to become Kylo Ren and join The First Order because he knew the New Republic was not ready to face such a threat. It wouldn’t make what he was doing the entire trilogy right, but it would make explain why he turned and what his motivations are.
I don't really have a explanation for Qi'Ra, but she was trained by Maul, took over the Crimson Dawn and you don't waste Emilia Clarke on one movie that never continued. So Qi'Ra as the villain could've worked.
A Mandalorian invasion lead by Fett writes itself.
I know it's technically Palpatine, but it works better because we don't stupidly retcon Anakin's sacrifice. This was planned, but the idiots that be decided it would be better if Ian played him. So instead this is the perfected clone. The Clone Wars were a test for Palpatine to perfect cloning. Throughout the reign as Emperor, he tinkered with cloning force sensitives, created a lot of failures(Snoke) but prior to Endor, he perfected it and kept it as a fail safe should he die. And after Kylo Ren killed Snoke, he awakened. Palpatine reborn. The movie opens at the end of the war. Finn successfully consurs up a Stormtrooper Rebellion and all the FO officers are executed, Hux is captured and Rey beats Kylo Ren for the umpteenth time. The First Order are on their last legs. Until a message is delivered to the galaxy.
“People of the galaxy. Your Emperor has returned after thirty long, lawless years. To the Sith and the Jedi; follow the Holocrons. We have much work to do. Those who remained loyal to me shall be rewarded. For those who relished in my demise, who celebrated what they thought the end of the Empire and believed their treachery had won them the galaxy…only death and suffering await. The great error shall be corrected. The day of victory is at hand. The restoration of the Empire! The Final Order! The Day of the Sith!”
And it's a race. Rey and the Resistance hoping to stop The Emperor, while Kylo Ren is hoping to kill Palpatine, obtain the power of the Sith Eternal and an infinite fleet that will win the galaxy, but in the end, Rey and Kylo are forced to work together. Matt Smith as Palpatine could've fixed the movie
The final contingency of the Emperor. Cloning Luke Skywalker. Palpatine had foreseen either Luke will kill him and Vader or Vader will betray him. So Palpatine orders that Luke's hand be brought to him. Luke is cloned, but imperfectly. He is just a husk of power, so Palpatine has the greatest minds of the Empire indoctrinate this malleable clone to being the heir and the eventual savior of the Empire. This clone. Let's refer to him as Luuke. Luuke learned everything there was from Palpatine. His Machiavellian cunning mechanisms. Mastery over the dark side and fully believed in his master's will and plans for him.
Luuke foresaw that there would be problems if he revealed himself. SO he created a puppet, Snoke. Through Snoke, he turned Kylo Ren to the dark side and puppeteered The First Order. Masterminding everything from the shadows and after Snoke and the real Luke Skywalker's deaths, it was time to reveal himself.
Luuke's motivations are to bring Kylo Ren to heel or cast him aside, turn Rey to the dark side or kill her and rule the galaxy as his master intended for him. This dark side Luke would unite both Rey and Ben against him and would give Mark Hamill the opportunity to play a dark side Luke Skywalker.

Tidal Rey
Kylo reached out with an effort of will, touching the Force Dyad that connected him to Rey.
It came easier now, compared to last time. It came easier every time.
This was meant to happen.
He still saw the surroundings of his meditation room on his flagship, but he also saw her. He knew she would be seeing her surroundings, but she would also be seeing him.
“I’m busy!” Rey snapped.
Kylo didn’t reply, at first, examining Rey for some kind of hint as to what she was doing.
Some kind of vital clue, that would reveal her location.
Nothing was immediately forthcoming. She was standing stiffly, with her arms out to either side as if embracing a huge tree, and occasionally leaning backwards or forwards a little.
“Where are you?” Kylo asked. “You can’t run forever.”
“Watch me,” Rey said.
She didn’t seem to be running, and Kylo chuckled.
“If this is you running, then you’ve given up already,” he said.
Rey grit her teeth, then swayed a little, and Kylo stepped back again to try and interpret what he was seeing
If only he could get her to make some mistake… give a hint. Or if he could get something physical to come through their connection.
Something that he could have analyzed. Something to give a clue as to where she was.
“Have you accepted your family?” he asked. “Being descended from someone strong in the Dark Side… it’s a powerful pull. The Dark Side could be a powerful ally for you, or it could consume you, Rey. Only I can help you become powerful.”
Rey shook her head slightly, then shifted. One hand brushed at her hair, fending it out of her eyes, then she went right back to that odd pose.
Perhaps she was on Kashyyyk? Clinging to the side of one of the huge Wroshyr trees? Or holding on to a First Order monorail, on any of a thousand worlds.
He needed more.
“I’ll find you eventually,” he said. “And even if I don’t, you know you don’t have long. If you join me, Rey, then we can rule the galaxy together… otherwise the Resistance will be crushed.”
“I said I was busy!” Rey told him. “Buzz off while I’m-”
She bit down on the words, and Kylo felt a triumphant smirk try to cross his face.
Rey had nearly cracked. Nearly said it.
He was on the right track.
He drew his lightsaber, and swept it through the air. Not at her, but at the space around her – trying to make contact with something on her side of the Dyad.
As he swung, Rey tipped over backwards, avoiding his attack-
DB-1089 tapped his boot against the metal floor, then frowned.
The sound was wrong.
He looked down, and saw a small amount of water pooling on the floor.
Confused and concerned, the stormtrooper stepped forwards a pace and turned, trying to identify where the environmental systems leak was coming from. They were serious business in the artificial environment of a warship.
“What the…” LK-3332 asked. “It’s coming from the Supreme Leader’s room?”
Then the door gave way.
Light fittings, trophies, clothes, weightlifting equipment and fifteen hundred tons of seawater exited the room in a rush that knocked over both stormtroopers, carrying along with them a prospective Dark Lord of the Sith. The tidal wave of water carried them all a hundred metres down the corridor, eventually ending up piled next to a grating as the water finally drained away.
“...what happened, sir?” DB-1089 asked, eventually.
“Nothing,” the extremely bedraggled and panting Kylo Ren replied. “Absolutely. Nothing. At. All.”
The troopers exchanged a glance.
“...nothing at all, sir, right enough,” LK-3332 agreed. “Yes, sir.”

She isn't the only sunflower in the garden, but she's the one I'd always pick.
While she's in deep sleep, I stay awake to think about her, and when I think, I realise I owe her the world and the moon, and if possible, I'll get her other planets and galaxies as well. And to be honest, no one in my life will ever matter more than her.

Tug of War
Ok everyone,  here is another weird one.  Let’s get some house keeping out of the way first.
This is set mid clone wars, where Palpatine does not quite have enough support to change the republic into an empire.
For this, either there are no chips (and no order 66), or Palpatine does not want to activate the chips until the appointed hour, when his Empire is truly ready. Either way the clones side, pretty much exclusively with Jedi.
This is very much an AU idea, with little connection to canon.
Now the base of this is that Jedi finds out that Palpatine is the Sith Lord, however the twist is that (because Palpatine has been in charge of the laws for over a decade, plus the work of the other Sith before him) being a Sith Lord is not actually illegal. In addition Palpatine has been exceedingly careful about his conduct and contact with the separatists. Nothing he has done is illegal (practically nothing is illegal for him, due to his position as Supreme Chancellor, not even treason). Finally most of the galaxy, including most of the senate consider the Sith/Jedi split religious differences (Also from generations of careful Sith propaganda).
I want it clear that this take is not correct. Sith are evil, Palpatine very much included. It is only the result of centuries of work that ensured that this even happened.
All of this means that the Jedi very much are not able to oust Palpatine legally, and killing him would see the entire Order being classified as a terrorist organization, which is an automatic execution order for every member regardless of age.
Now for twist number two. Due to the fact the Jedi were the founders of the Republic, declaring them traitors (an actual attempt to kill the Chancellor being the only exception, due to the Ruusan Reformation treaty) would destroy the Republic. And not in the way it will eventually become an empire kind of way. Instead whatever the power base (political and otherwise) the republic laws are built on, it is intrinsically tied to the Jedi Order’s existence.
Look I am not sure how exactly it would work but work with me here.  Also this entire idea is meant to poke fun at the idea that laws are anything more immutable than a social contract we all agree to follow.
All this means that until Palpatine is ready for his Empire to Rise, he cannot destroy the Jedi Order.  And he is found out to be a Sith just a little too early for that to happen.
So now we have the Jedi on side, unable to eject the overt Sith in the Senate (also not able to leave due to their ties to the Republic).  On the Other Side we have an actual Sith running the government  but unable to kill the Jedi until he is fully ready to launch his empire.  Both still have to deal with a Senate that on a fundamental level does not understand goals, the methods, or the beliefs of either group (Jedi or Sith).
And they still have to work together.  They still have to make plans and fight a war and deal with the Senate. Palpatine's entire schtick means that he has to keep up appearances, particularly since the Jedi have outright, and publicly, stated to him that the moment he is not the supreme chancellor (and thus it is no longer terrorism and treason to kill him) they are going kill him for being a Sith.
Following this declaration there was a brief but intense debate in the Senate regarding this declaration and if it counted as threatening a government official/head of government.  It was eventually decided that the clarifying statement that they would only kill him when he was no longer in office meant that it was acceptable, since the Jedi are allowed to kill Sith (that is one of the oldest laws on the books, it fall in the ‘cannot change without destabilizing the Republic’), they just can’t kill a Sith that is also the Supreme Chancellor.  Unfortunately it was also decided that the Jedi, or Jedi allies, could not have any part of removing Palpatine from office; due to the declaration.
So there is a small amount of ‘race to the finish line’ where the Jedi are still very much trying to end the war and/or maneuver Palpatine out of his position of power, so they can eliminate the Sith.  And Palpatine is working to extend the war, and thus his power, until he had the support needed to unveil his empire (he was set back quite a bit by the revelation that he is a Sith, enough people become suspicious of his motives that he can’t just declare an Empire) so that he could then kill the Jedi.
The Jedi have an advantage in that there are 10,000 of them and they can trust each other and work together.  Palpatine is not able to trust anyone with his plans, not even his minions or other Sith since they all plan to betray each other.
Palpatine has an advantage in that he, and his minions, will do things that no being with morals ever could. Not that being restricted by morals is a bad thing, but it does mean that Palpatine can take any action he wants to advance his plans with little concern with collateral damage. There are some days, particularly when that same collateral damage spends hours telling the Jedi that saved them exactly why the Jedi Order are baby stealing monsters, where various Jedi are slightly jealous of Palpatine’s lack of morals.
Even weirder are the times when both the Sith and the Jedi agree on something, or their short term goals align. Neither group ever forgets that they are enemies who ultimately want to eliminate the other, but there are some days where Adi Gallia has been dealing with idiots in the Senate all day and wants to drink with possibly the only other Force user who deals with the same volume of Senate idiots in one day (look, Palpatine may capitalize on the fundamental misunderstanding the galaxy at large-and the Senate in particular-has about Force use and the difference between Sith and Jedi, but even he is going internally ‘I am trying to subjugate all of you and the Jedi are trying to stop me from subjugating all of you. These goals are not the same.’-I personally head canon that Palpatine is self aware enough to know that he is objectively evil, and is quite proud of that. I just want my bad guy to be an unrepentant ass, be aware that he is an unrepentant ass, and not feel any kind of guilt about that- ). Or every so often for the first year after the reveal Palpatine invites Obi Wan Kenobi to drink with him because Anakin has done something so ridiculous again (while trying to save Pame from something she had already taken care of) that it has managed to accidentally derail six of Palpatine's plots,  endanger two Jedi missions, injured no less than 50 troopers across three battalions, and almost took out the economy of a mid rim world.  Obi Wan goes because after the reveal Palpatine stopped trying to kill him personally (though he still go caught up in the occasional plot), and the Sith has surprisingly good taste in liquor (It should be noted that most of the friendly interactions with Palpatine seem to include heavy drinking and commiserating).  Or Mace Windu catching Palpatine’s eyes from across the Rotunda or some foolish gathering as some being is blathering on and they have just a moment of understanding and commiseration pass between them.
It is only for the first year because that is when Anakin finally stops hanging around with Palpatine. Anakin also did not have a great grasp of the difference between Sith and Jedi and had bought fully into ‘Palpatine is my friend’.  Then one day they were talking about various Sith and Palpatine made the mistake of sharing a bit too much about drawing power from being in pain, and his (Palpatine’s) plans for the Vader suit.  He never said that the suit was for Anakin, but he was just a bit too gleeful in describing causing another being pain and it freaked Anakin out.
After the reveal and this holding pattern there is at least one scene where Dooku pouts because Palpatine can drink with Jedi, but Dooku cannot have Tea with Jedi any longer. And it is not because Dooku is a Sith and only partially due to the fact that Dooku is the head of Separatists (thus the enemy). No the real reason that Dooku can not have tea with he Jedi any longer is because Jocasta Nu was told at the beginning of the war that Dooku had removed information from her archives and he knows that no one, not even Yoda, would keep his location a secret from her and risk her wrath.
He had felt her wrath in the Force as soon as she was told, and that wrath had lingered. Very occasionally Palpatine considers trying to lure her to his side by telling her where she can find Dooku, but figures that she would usurp him and rule the galaxy with an iron fist within a standard week.
And Palpatine had put far too much work into everything to be a minion again.

Part 8 Vow Renewal for @kyluxwedding
Part 1|Part 2|Part 3|Part 4|Part 5|Part 6|Part 7
"Will you marry me? Again?" Hux was avoiding this moment and avoiding Kylo since they get back to his Star Destroyer. A week spent on Arkanis felt so distant now. But Hux didn't feel sentimental about it. He only confirmed his reluctance about being planet side. He looked at Ren for the first time since he kneeled.
"Is that..." Ren smiled amused.
"I've been told it's best one around." Hux slowly picked a vibroblade from Kylo's hands. Weapon was light and elegant. And deadly.
"I will, marry you, again." He said putting knife away, placing it on his desk. He did consider it though, using the knife. Cutting Kylo's throat or stabbing him straight through his heart. They were both aware of that. When Ren stood up Hux realized that Kylo did not bring his sword. "You must put awful amount of trust in my attachment to you."
Ren smiled amused.
"You spend awful amount of time on thinking about killing me, Armitage. Not only i got used to it. I would be worried if your first thought wouldn't be stabbing me." Hux snorted. "And i would accept my fate."
At that Hux froze looking at Ren.
"Who knows maybe one day i will, kill you." He said. Ren only smiled.
"But it's not today."
"No. Its not today."
Ceremony was private. This time Hux didn't vow in the name of Sun, Moon an Ocean and Kylo didn't vow in the name of Force. This time they didn't vow as Enforcer of the Empire and Master of the Knights of Ren, Lord Kylo Ren and Emperor of Galaxy, Supreme Leader of the First Order, Killer of the Stars Armitage Hux. They didn't even vow as Kylo Ren and Armitage Hux. They vow as Kylo and Armitage. Because Ren as well as Hux carried too much anger, fear and memories. And in the dark of empty throne room Armitage leaned on Kylo's arm and raised his glass amused. They were sitting on the floor looking at the empty throne. The last remnant of Sonke's reign.
"To us."
"To us." Kylo repeated and kissed him feeling as their destiny is fused together into bond stronger than anything they knew before.
(I did plan to write something on every prompt but i did not feel quite well for few days so this is the last part to wrap it up, hope you like it)

Chapter Summary
Guided by Force visions sent by the burnt mask of Darth Vader, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren travels to Mustafar in search of a Sith artifact that promises the power to destroy any challenge to his reign...
Excerpt
Kylo Ren, Supreme Leader of the First Order, couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation as the dropship carrying him and a squad of elite stormtroopers descended into the planet of Mustafar.
His journey to Mustafar felt to him like a pilgrimage of sorts, visiting the planet his grandfather, the great Sith Lord Darth Vader, once resided.
Yes, he was the Supreme Leader, the de-facto Emperor of the galaxy-- far surpassing anything his grandfather had accomplished in life-- but Kylo still sought his guidance, and his guidance was what led him here.
Kylo had accomplished so much since slaying his master Snoke and taking his place at the head of the First Order nearly a year and a half ago. He had taken the First Order from a nomadic military junta that still hid in the Unknown Regions to heights that rivaled the Empire at its peak. His Order occupied every single major inhabited planet. He re-conquered Coruscant and made his capitol, just as Emperor Palpatine did during his reign.
Yet despite his enormous success, Kylo was still as troubled as ever. The Resistance had gained little ground since he decimated them on Crait, yet they still remained persistent.
The Resistance... led by his mother. Leia. When the moment came before during the attack on the Resistance’s then flagship the Raddus... he couldn't press the trigger to finish her with his TIE Silencer's missiles. He wasn’t sure he'd be able to do it even if given another opportunity. He wasn’t sure he'd be able to murder her like he did his father. A deed that continued to haunt him nearly two years on.
The Resistance... joined by the scavenger. The last Jedi.
She had rejected him and betrayed him after he risked everything and offered her everything. He thought she was different, but she was just like everyone else. Just like Luke Skywalker. Betrayers. Liars. He was not bluffing when he promised his bastard of an uncle that he would destroy her and their precious Jedi Order. All of it.
He hated her. He hated that a part of him still felt everything but hate for her.
Rey...

I've been a little slow on getting out new STAR WARS fic recs out, but in my defense it's because I've been reading a bunch of longer fics lately. In the spirit of "there's a special feeling to those fics that consume you and make you stay up until 3am because you can't put them down", here's a list of some of the ones I've loved or am in the middle of reading and they are haunting my thoughts and I need to inflict that on everyone else. Whether you're looking at a long upcoming trip and need some good reading material or avoiding your feelings by sinking into fic or just because you like reading, I hope you'll find something here! Including a bonus underrunning theme of throwing in a bunch of Jedi-loving fic to continue my agenda of making Jedi-centric fandom a more fun place to be. 30k+ is the minimum and this isn't all of my favorites, but it's a great list of "I have a week off to kill and I want to be in a fic coma by the end of it".
STAR WARS FIC FOR WHEN YOU NEED TO KILL ABOUT TEN HOURS WORTH OF TIME AND WANT TO HAVE FEELINGS ABOUT FICTIONAL PSYCHIC SPACE WIZARDS WHILE YOU'RE AT IT:
✦ Out with Lanterns by SkyeBean, mace & ahsoka & plo & shaak & cast, 312.5k     In another universe, Jedi Masters Plo Koon and Depa Billaba decide a Padawan could do Mace some good. It takes a while, but he eventually agrees. When he takes Ahsoka Tano as his Padawan, Mace knows that he's broken through a Shatterpoint and changed the course of a life. How, he doesn't know. ✦ Reprise by Elfpen, obi-wan & qui-gon & mace & yoda & anakin & cast, time travel, 558.9k wip     Ben Kenobi dies aboard the Death Star in the year 0 BBY. He wakes up shortly thereafter in the Jedi temple in the year 41 BBY. Haunted by memories and regret, Ben must forge a new path for himself in the Jedi Order of his youth while navigating the murky waters of time travel. Crafting a better future from bitter experience is hard, but learning to heal is even harder. ✦ Take it from the top and try again by mauvera, obi-wan & qui-gon & anakin & padme & mace & shmi & dooku & cast, time travel, 112k wip     Five years into his self imposed exile on Tattooine, Obi-Wan Kenobi is gifted the chance to go back and bring hope back to the galaxy. With hindsight on his side, he fully intends to save his master, save his padawan, make some new and old friends again, prepare the Jedi for a war they’ll hopefully never see and begin to pull apart all the many tangled threads of the Sith Lord’s plans. Should be relatively easy. Right? ✦ Post Order 66 Exile AU by Livsy, obi-wan & anakin & cast, 46k     Alternatively: after a failed order 66, in which many Jedi still died but the Sith were defeated, an exiled warrior and a boy wander a distant planet and attempt to get along. ✦ Remedial Jedi Theology by MarbleGlove, obi-wan & anakin & jedi & cast, 51.3k     Let us consider the fact that the Jedi Order is a monastic religious organization based out of a temple, with five basic tenets of faith. ✦ Supreme Chancellor Obi-Wan Kenobi by stonefreeak, obi-wan & anakin & padme & yoda & palpatine & bail & dooku & mace & quinlan & vokara & ahsoka & cast, 124.5k wip    By an old Republic law, all members of the Jedi High Council are senators in the Galactic Senate, and can thus be voted in as chancellor. ✦ What We've Become by Vinyarie, vader & ahsoka & cast, 82k     Darth Vader and Ahsoka’s fight on Malachor takes a different path, and Ahsoka actually is able to save her master. Or rather, she’s able to convince him to save himself. Diverges from canon in the last few minutes of Twilight of the Apprentice and goes increasingly AU from there.
✦ time to change the road you're on by wreckageofstars, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & luke & leia & han & ghost crew & cast, time travel, 93.6k wip     The end of the Clone War is near - the fall of the Republic even nearer. Anakin Skywalker, caught up in the events that lead to the rise of the Empire and the loss of everything he holds dear, finds himself sent nearly two decades into the future. Ahsoka Tano, still coming to painful terms with the true fate of her former master, is - not exactly happy to see him. But the Force works in mysterious ways - and the future is not nearly as set in stone as they've been lead to believe. Multi-chapter AU, Rise of the Empire/Rebels-era. ✦ narrower than a razor's edge by bereft_of_frogs, obi-wan & dooku & qui-gon & anakin & sidious & cast, 30.2k     Dooku tips his hand ten years earlier because he can't stand the thought of his former apprentice's murder, and that might just be enough to save everyone...if it doesn't get them all killed first. ✦ soften every edge by gigglesandfreckles, obi-wan & ahsoka (& anakin), major character death, 48.1k     "Rejoice!" the galaxy says, in the wake of war and the dawning of peace. "How?" Obi-Wan asks. "No," Ahsoka says. (or: Obi-Wan & Ahsoka learn to live on.) ✦ hunting toward heartstill by blackkat, mace/cody & plo & fives & shaak & obi-wan & anakin & rex & cast, 207.2k     Plo has an idea. Mace agrees, and everything snowballs right into hell from there. (Or: Mace and Cody get married in order to give the clones citizen status. Before they can focus on that, though, they're going to have to deal with ancient Sith artifacts, evil prophets, plots to overthrow the Supreme Chancellor, lost planets, monsters warped by Sith alchemy, inconvenient , and Darth Sidious turning his eye on a potential new apprentice. Just...not in that order.) ✦ Cataclasm by dendral, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & waxer & cast, 63.1k wip     For reasons unknown to all but himself, Obi-Wan Kenobi has left the Jedi Order in the midst of the Clone Wars, taking with him a single clone. Anakin Skywalker has been unofficially tasked by the Order to find Obi-Wan and bring him home. Unfortunately for Anakin, it seems his former master is always ten steps ahead of him. ✦ Unexpected Awakening (The Rewrite) by Rhiw, obi-wan & qui-gon & anakin & feemor & bruck & jango & cast, time travel, 135.1k wip     The life of General Kenobi is cut short at the hands of his Padawan, but the sight that greets his eyes upon awakening is not that of blinding light of the Force, but the Jedi Temple he knew when he was still a youth. As he struggles to understand the path laid out before him, Obi-Wan unwittingly captures the attention of a singularly unusual Temple Guard, and that of a reluctant Qui-Gon Jinn.
✦ Knightrise by deviantaccumulation, obi-wan & ahsoka & satine & yoda & cast, 89.4k wip     There is no battle on Mustafar or in Coruscant's senate building. Instead, a small but still alive Jedi Order rises from its ashes on Mandalore. ✦ Fire and Ice by Yesac, obi-wan & anakin & cast, 111.9k     Anakin wins the duel on Mustafar, but doesn't kill Obi-Wan. Along with Padme, Obi-Wan finds himself living in a chaotic world where the man he thought he knew has become the thing he swore to destroy. Can Anakin be turned back? If so, what then? ✦ Better That a Millstone by Icarus_is_flying, obi-wan & luke & anakin & leia & cast, 86.7k     Vader discovers Luke and Obi-Wan on Tatooine when Luke is one year old and attempts to reclaim the family he threw away. Obi-Wan is less than pleased, and Luke and Leia? They have their own ideas about how their future should play out. ✦ Bloodlines by KCKenobi, obi-wan & anakin & dooku, 35.8k     When an explosion traps them in the same doomed escape pod, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Dooku are stranded together on Tatooine. The goal is simple: cooperate long enough to survive, and not a second longer. But a shared past has a way of connecting the people we think we know—and bloodlines run deep. [or: your classic family road trip across a desert planet, except your grandpa is, you know, a Sith Lord. And now he's sort of starting to bond with your Jedi dad. And that might be an issue.] ✦ When Darkness Seems to Hide This Place by IllyanaA, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & rex & cast, 136k wip     After killing three of the Jedi Order's best and brightest, Palpatine's fight with Jedi Master Mace Windu goes shorter than expected. ✦ Precipice by shadowsong26, obi-wan & anakin & padme & luke & leia & bail & ahsoka & rex & cast, 253.6k     An AU in which Anakin Skywalker does not follow Mace Windu and the others to Palpatine’s office after they leave to arrest the Chancellor. As a result, he doesn’t get that final push over the edge, and doesn’t Fall. ✦ Averting Galactic Destruction by kj_feybarn, obi-wan & anakin & quinlan & rex & cody & fives & dogma & wolffe & plo & shaak & dooku & sidious, time travel, 44.3k     AKA The Time the Force Sent Obi-Wan Back in Time and Quinlan Vos kept him from Going Kamikaze because let’s be Honest, Being Forced to Come Back in Time Would Suck.
✦ Into the Archives by skygawker, obi-wan & anakin/padme & palpatine & cast, 104.9k wip     After hearing the legend of Darth Plagueis the Wise from Palpatine, Anakin decides that his best chance to save Padme is to break into the restricted Holocron Vault of the Temple Archives to search for information about Plagueis. Predictably, all does not go according to plan. Revenge of the Sith AU. ✦ Live To Fight Another Day by raemanzu, spica_tea, cody & rex & jesse & kix & obi-wan & anakin & fox & cast, 396.9k wip     Clones have their place in the universe, beyond the schemes of Palpatine. Events conspire to place Rex on the path of a new fate, one which will affect the future in ways not even the Jedi could foresee. Loyal to source material and characterizations. Canon-divergent. Starts between seasons 5 and 6 of TCW and explores Rex’s reaction to Fives’ dying words and subsequent events building toward Order 66. Variety of canon characters. No ships. Very Ace and Aro. Strong focus on certain friendships (Rex and Cody, Jesse and Kix, etc) with those friendships playing major roles. Thematically about how the clones navigate loss, trauma, the concept of their enslavement, their identities, etc amongst the larger active plot threads. Content warnings for war-related PTSD, trauma, combat injuries, and all around war-related angst etc in later chapters. ✦ Life and What Comes After by Ibelin, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & padme & cast, 177.2k wip     Obi-Wan dies on Jabiim. Anakin blames himself, doesn't know how to go on and yet - he does. Maybe the Force rewards that kind of thing, or maybe he just gets lucky, but when a mission lands Anakin on a vaguely familiar planet, he gets a second chance to do what he knows he should have done in the first place: save his master. (And maybe a chance to save the galaxy, too.) ✦ Knight-Errant by zinjadu, anakin & ahsoka & obi-wan & padme & rex & jedi & clones, 315.8k     AU - The Jedi Who Knew Too Much. Rex decides to stay "in pursuit" of his Commander; he jumps. Now, with backup, Ahsoka navigates the lower levels and deals with Ventress. Meanwhile, Anakin takes the Order to task, finds a little more support, and things turn out a little differently for everyone. And this is just the beginning. ✦ the massive machinery of hope by Killbothtwins, obi-wan & qui-gon & anakin & shmi & jedi, time travel, 150.1k     After the end of the war with the Empire, Obi-Wan wakes up in his twelve-year old body. Now all he needs to do is convince everyone he's psychic, trick his Master into taking him on before he's sent to Bandomeer, redeem a few bad guys, and try not to have a nervous breakdown. Pretty easy. It's not like the Sith are lurking on the horizon, waiting to devour the Jedi Order.
✦ The Exchange by MissLearn, obi-wan & anakin & qui-gon & ahsoka & padme & cast, time travel/body swap, 120k     The Daughter has a bad day and it irrevocably changes the fate of the galaxy, twice over. Or; ROTS Obi-Wan and Anakin are swapped with their younger, TPM, selves. It changes things, in both parallels. ✦ In All The World by Kjellarnen, obi-wan & anakin & cast, 144.8k wip     The story of how Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi tamed each other, from Naboo to Anakin's early days at the Temple. ✦ In Another Life by KCKenobi, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & padme, time travel, 52.3k     Eleven years after the rise of the Empire, a favor to a friend sends Obi-Wan traveling through the multiverse. He encounters different versions of the galaxy and of himself—including one in which Anakin never turned to the dark side. Obi-Wan and this Light Anakin are forced to work together to stop the creation of a disastrous Empire weapon. But as they move through different versions of reality, the timelines become more and more twisted—and the harder it is to distinguish who they are from who they might have been. And—to find their way home. ✦ The Intruder by Hollyoakhill, obi-wan & original clone characters, 82.5k     When a vicious attack from a strange, indestructible monster traps them on a derelict star destroyer, a young clone trooper fresh from Kamino join forces with Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi to find a way to escape. ✦ Conceal Me What I Am by Himboskywalker, obi-wan/anakin & padme & yoda & mace & palpatine & quinlan & cast, omegaverse, NSFW, 108.3k     Separatist Propaganda is turning the Republic against the Jedi Order and the Senate sees no choice but to join in a political alliance to fight dissent on a unified front. An alliance is proposed through an arranged marriage, between a Jedi Knight and Republic Senator. DEFECTIVE GOOD
Part 1
A Star Wars fanfiction that follows the story of JR-6025—a stormtrooper with something very rare to find within the First Order...
A soul.
Hope you will enjoy reading the story as much as l enjoyed writing it.
Tumblr media
What was at the origin of the First Order ?
Nobody knew.
The Empire had fallen long ago, but then the First Order was built upon the ashes. Some said it was Supreme Leader Snoke who had once decided to bring back order to the galaxy.
Others thought that it was the Empire—what was left of it anyway...It seemed the universe was bound to repeat its mistakes.
And that was the moment JR-6025 was born.
In the middle of the war, she was taken, sold and raised to become a stormtrooper.
A stormtrooper on the Starkiller Base.
On the Starkiller Base :
General Hux was typing away on his data pad when a knock was heard. He looked up and spoke in a short and flat tone.
"Come in."
A few seconds later, a stormtrooper came in.
"What is it, trooper ?" He asked and the stormtrooper JR-6025 took a deep breath before replying.
"The last parts for the laser have arrived, sir." The stormtrooper had her hands clasped behind her back and stayed completely still as General Hux seemed to be somehow relieved.
"Finally. Good news." He smiled and JR-6025 nodded. General Hux thought that was the end of the report, but was surprised to find JR-6025 still standing before him. The trooper knew that even adding one wrong word represented a great risk but, she decided to speak up anyway.
"I would like to speak with you."
General Hux frowned before looking the stormtrooper up and down. He then sighed before resuming typing on his data pad. JR-6025 thought that would be the end of that—but then General Hux spoke again.
"Be quick."
JR-6025 hesitated before confessing.
"I worry, sir."
General Hux stopped typing on his data pad to look at her.
"Worry about what ?"
She grimaced underneath her helmet as she knew that it wouldn't be easy for her to get to the point she was trying to make, but she also knew General Hux would more inclined to hear her concern after she delivered good news.
"About Kylo Ren, sir."
He held back an eye roll at the familiar name.
"What about him ?"
JR-6025 grasped her wrist tightly and started rubbing her inner wrist nervously.
"He made us seek the scavenger girl on a planet where half our forces were killed. Was it really necessary ?"
General Hux leaned back and frowned at her words.
"Kylo Ren's obsession with the scavenger girl is his weakness. It shall be his undoing."
There was a certain finality to his words, but JR-6025 decided to insist.
"But ours as well, sir. We need to do something or there won't be any First Order stormtroopers remaining..."
General Hux's eyes narrowed. He was clearly displeased by her insistence.
"Be patient. She's just a girl from a desolate wasteland. Surely she shouldn't be that much of a concern."
JR-6035 winced underneath her helmet as she fidgeted anxiously.
"I understand, but the extent to which Lord Kylo Ren is willing to go for the girl is... concerning." She said—for lack of a better word.
General Hux sighed.
"Kylo Ren may be impulsive, but he knows what he's doing." General Hux eventually replied dismissively and waited for the stormtrooper to leave. She didn't.
"...Does he ?" General Hux’s eyes looked up again and they narrowed again at the suspicion in the stormtrooper's question.
"Do not question his authority, stormtrooper."
JR-6025 knew she was walking on thin ice and she could feel thin layers of sweat forming on her head.
"I question nothing. I state facts. And fact is... we are diminishing in numbers."
General Hux stood up and clasped his hands behind his back.
"If you are insinuating that Kylo Ren is the cause of this, be careful." There was a hidden warning behind his words and JR-6025 knew better than to ignore his unspoken words...but, the concern was real.
"I do not insinuate anything, sir. As I have previously mentioned. I state facts." She repeated—trying to sound more confident than she was.
General Hux sighed before sitting back down. He couldn't deny the truth behind her words.
"Your point is noted." He finally answered and JR-6025 hesitated on whether or not she should leave. General Hux noticed before adding to clarify.
"You are dismissed, trooper."
She quickly nodded.
"Yes, sir."
She saluted him before walking out.
After she had left, General Hux was suddenly filled with deep unease. What she said rang true...the First Order was, indeed, diminishing in numbers. He had his mission, and nothing would deter him from succeeding. But what of Kylo Ren ? He tsskd in annoyance before looking back down at his data pad.
He would have to talk with the annoying sith.
……….
Later that day, JR-6025 was doing her usual rounds around her designated section when she heard loud noises coming from one of the commanding officer's rooms. She could hear voices inside and recognized Kylo Ren's and General Hux's. She hesitated for a moment before walking up to the door and taking a peak inside-only to find Supreme Lord Kylo Ren wrecking havoc inside. He had his lightsaber lit and was throwing it up and down in a fit of rage on all of the equipment the First Order had acquired recently. It would leave a lot of cleaning-up to do afterwards—that was for sure. She then noticed General Hux standing beside him—as cool and composed as ever. The only hints of his true feelings: the raise of an eyebrow and the slight tilt downwards of the corner of his mouth.
She guessed he must have delivered some bad news to Lord Kylo Ren and he was now facing the consequences of such an action. But then, she was surprised to hear Lord Kylo Ren yell.
"You DARE to suggest that I control my rage ?!"
He hit the table with his fist and General Hux raised an eyebrow at the mark it left on his brand-new desk.
"I do." General Hux confirmed without fear and JR-6025’s eyes widened. "I am tired of having my equipment turned to pieces every time it conveniences you to throw a fit. Or my soldiers dropping like flies because you cannot control your own emotions."
His voice didn't hide his irritation and pride. But, his expression suddenly became cold and stern as he added.
"And you know what ? I take it back. I suggest something different now. I suggest you cease whining and complaining and get out of my office this instant !"
He yelled the second half of his sentence and pointed to the door significantly, his voice so loud that the nearby stormtroopers were startled—including JR-6025 who was on her round. She couldn’t believe it. Had General Hux actually listened to her ?
JR-6025's eyes widened as she heard a loud crash and was worried one of them might have gotten hurt. She hesitated whether or not she should open the door—but one of the other stormtroopers grabbed her arm and shook his head to dissuade her. It was not her fight.
And, she begrudgingly complied.
But, none of them walked away. They all looked at each other and there was this moment of telepathic understanding that no other being in the universe could possibly comprehend that made them eavesdrop. It was like this inexplicable pull of children when they hear their parents have an argument in the kitchen...but the pull was ten times more irresistible.
Tumblr media
Inside :
General Hux slowly stood back up and even though he was bleeding from his lower lip, he refused to lower his gaze. He wouldn't lower himself before Kylo Ren—no matter what. How had this brat been gifted with the force ?! It was beyond him. The dark hatred threatened he felt to swallow him whole—jealousy releasing its poisonous waves. He had been trying so hard to get the upper hand on the annoying brat who had always seemed to get Snoke's full attention...And he dared come in here and make a fool out of him ?!
Kylo turned around him like a shark around its prey in the waters and chuckled darkly.
"I can hear your thoughts, General. Your most inner desires...Do you really think you could be gifted with the force ? Or learn to wield it ?"
General Hux closed his eyes and bit his lower lip in order to force himself not to reply—knowing it didn't matter. Kylo Ren knew the truth.
He had always known.
"You will NEVER be one of us. You shall NEVER be great. Better just give up, Hux." Kylo Ren spat harshly and General Hux looked up at him with hatred in his eyes.
He loathed him. He loathed him more than anything.
Tumblr media
"You really think I want to be you ?" General Hux mocked and wiped the blood off his chin with a smirk. "Sad little boy with anger issues ? I may not have the force, Ren. But when did the force ever help you ?"
Kylo Ren's eyes narrowed in furry at his provocation and his knuckles turned into fists by his sides.
The stormtroopers outside all looked at each other, and while the rest of the stormtroopers decided to slowly retreat—sensing the storm brewing—JR-6025 decided to stay. She had a bad feeling that if she didn't, something terrible would happen. And sure enough, Kylo Ren saw red at the General's sudden attitude and pulled out his lightsaber—his hold tightening on the handle to breaking point.
"It is the LAST time I will let you disrespect me." The Sith seethed and General Hux's eyes widened when he ignited his saber. He could feel the heat from the blade against his skin and his eyes followed the red blade closely—which Kylo Ren swung effortlessly through the air. He hadn't thought Ren to actually use his weapon of predilection against him, but it was too late to backtrack now. So, he smirked and hid his fear under a cocky grin.
"Well, well. And to think I believed you were actually starting to become reasonable..." He mocked and his smile vanished as he glared at Ren. "Are you that stubborn ? Do you not understand anything at all ? Do you want to lose this war ? If you wish to restore your beloved Empire, you'll back down right now."
Kylo Ren was blinded by rage at Hux’s condescending comments and he raised his lightsaber to the level of Hux's eyes threateningly. He felt his blood boiling in his veins and was on the verge of dismissing Snoke's orders and strike down the infuriating man. He was tired of that disrespectful little red-headed pest. He was going to rid the world of his bothersome presence once and for all.
But just at that moment, JR-6025 entered and instinctively raised her blaster towards Kylo Ren.
"Please, sir. Drop the lightsaber."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Kylo Ren and General Hux were stunned by the sudden interruption and when Kylo Ren slowly turned towards the stormtrooper. JR-6025 was internally panicking as she realised what she had just done. And who she was foolishly pointing her weapon at. Kylo Ren slowly turned around swiftly and raised his weapon towards the stormtrooper instead. He could feel her terror—but he could also feel the way she was ready to die for the fool. The fool who had dared provoke him. And the fool who would soon learn not to play with forces he couldn't possibly comprehend. However, he didn't expect it when General Hux himself suddenly stepped between them both and looked at her with a warning look.
"Trooper. At ease. Do not do anything foolish. If you do anything, he will kill you." It was a certainty. JR-6025 knew it. She immediately lowered her weapon. General Hux nodded. They both hoped the situation would calm down once Kylo Ren would leave. But, Kylo Ren threw General Hux aside to grab the impertinent stormtrooper with the force and raise her a few inches above the ground. She desperately struggled for air and she could see her life flashing before her eyes.
She thought it was the end of her—but then General Hux raised his voice once more.
"Drop the trooper this instant." He took a step closer to Kylo, his expression hard and steely as he looked unwaveringly at him—even though he knew pertinently that he had no power over him. "Or face the consequences."
Both men stared at each other for a few seconds before Kylo Ren finally complied and released JR-6025. Kylo Ren then crushed her laser beam gun instead.
"Next time, General...It will be her windpipe." He threatened before leaving—his cape billowing dramatically behind him. But, General Hux didn't care about him any longer. He turned around to look at the stormtrooper whose uniform was now covered in the crushed fragments of her own weapon. She gasped for air as her lungs seemed unable to accept the air she was breathing in.
But, she did succeed in standing back up eventually.
General Hux glanced at the door and frowned, he should get back to his work before that buffoon decided to cause more chaos around the compound as a sort of revenge. However, his eyes returned to the stormtrooper who had foolishly decided to put herself at risk.
"Why did you do that ? What made you decide to stand up to Kylo Ren—of all people ? That was a really foolish endeavour." He asked her with narrowed eyes and JR-6025 took another deep breath before trying to find the right words to tell him.
"He...was going to...kill you." She breathed out with difficulty before looking up at him with determination in her eyes. "Because of me."
General Hux's eyes widened at her unexpected reply before he shook his head in disbelief.
"Because of you ?" He raised a skeptical eyebrow at her and seemed to be at a loss. "Why because of you ?"
No one would be so stupid as to put their own life on the line for anyone. The First Order was maybe raising soldiers—but soldiers with common sense and survival instinct.
He wasn't complaining—far from it. He was even relieved she had intervened. But, Hux was at a loss for words on why she would feel the need to intervene. He had never seen someone actually try to defend him in the presence of Kylo Ren. The few witnesses of their regular arguments usually left the room or pretended not to see it. It was best. It was best than to risk being on the other end of Kylo's wrath.
But, the foolish trooper had actually pointed a gun at the most powerful sith on the planet in order to save him. He sighed heavily and looked away. He had trained the stormtroopers to be loyal to a fault—yes—but that was just suicide.
"Because I was the one who complained to you about Lord Kylo Ren. If you had died, it would have been my fault." The naivety in her answer made General Hux want to laugh. Did she truly believe his death would have been her fault ? No. If anything, it would have been the result of the years of rivalry and rage built between him and Ren.
"I can assure you. My death would have had had nothing to do with you, trooper JR-6025."
JR-6025 was surprised when she realised that General Hux had actually called her by her name tag. She stared at him for a moment before General Hux looked down at her fragmented weapon and sighed.
"I shall send you a new weapon by tonight. Go to the medical bay if you feel any pain."
JR-6025 nodded in agreement and started walking away until she stopped. She then remembered what Kylo Ren said and even though it wasn’t her place—she decided to speak up.
"...You are a great leader."
General Hux was momentarily stunned at her words and frowned before looking back at JR-6025—perplexed.
"…What did you say?"
She lowered her head in respect and proceeded to explain her train of thought to him.
"Kylo Ren said he couldn't see greatness in you. But, I do, sir. You are a strategist unlike any other. You value hard work and the lives of your stormtroopers. You are not one to shy away from responsibility, and your mind is always ten steps ahead of anyone else...You are a great general. And you are an even greater leader."
She forced herself to look up at General Hux at the end and even though he couldn't see it, he knew she was looking straight at him. He was stunned for a moment. He didn't know what to say. He wasn't used to having his hard work praised. Or, have someone hold him in such high esteem. It was rather...new.
He studied her closely for a few seconds before he smiled—a small genuine smile.
"Thank you. Dismissed, soldier."
She nodded again before leaving.
She smiled to herself.
General Hux had listened to her.
A few days later:
JR-6025 was warned to go to deck 603 with all the staff working on the Death Star. Once there, they all saw General Hux standing on a platform and scrutinizing the army with cold calculative eyes. JR-6025 shivered at the way his eyes were focused on the horizon. He seemed so much more intimidating like this—standing above the soldiers like their fearless leader seeing victory ahead. But, she knew better. General Hux had been brought up at the Academy and she knew what it was like there...
She had heard rumours. She was only a stormtrooper and hence was thankful she didn't have to spend time at the Academy other than for regular checkups. But, children there weren't taught, they were trained—like dogs. They were beaten the First Order into them and she could only shiver as she saw the result right in front of her.
General Hux's eyes were devoid of any light.
JR-6025 then wondered why they had been summoned, until she overheard one of the other stormtroopers whisper to one of his colleagues.
"I was informed this morning that the Death ray is operational...They're going to test it out on Hosnian Prime."
Her eyes widened in shock at the information and she shook her head. No. It couldn't be.
They weren't supposed to finish it so soon.
They had barely received the last parts this morning. It was impossible. But one look at General Hux and she knew it to be true. And when he started his speech, JR-6025 finally understood why they had been summoned.
It was a demonstration.
The Death ray was operational and it seemed Hosnian Prime would be its first victim. With the destruction of Hosnian Prime would come the destruction of the Galactic Senate and the Home Fleet of the New Republic Defense Fleet and it would surely escalate into full open warfare. At the end of the General's speech about greatness and terror, there was a terrible noise followed by a vivid light-similar to a strike of lightning.
It was terrible.
However, General Hux's eyes were fixed on the deadly laser beam, while JR-6025 closed hers.
She had already gone to Hosnian Prime. It was a planet filled with life and she tried to avoid imagining all the lives lost within the few seconds it lasted. When she reopened them, Hosnian Prime was gone and General Hux hadn't looked away for a single second. He knew of all the lives lost to the very last number. Men, women, children. He had studied the statistics for weeks and the sole notion that he hadn't looked away once showed his true dedication to the First Order.
His expression hadn't shifted once-he had stayed completely emotionless and stoic in front of the massacre. Not only that-but he had no helmet to protect his face. His face had become his helmet.
JR-6025 was amongst the last group to leave and yet, General Hux was still staring at the sky above. He kept staring at the exact spot Hosnian Prime used to be and for a moment— she saw a quick flicker in his eyes—for just a second.
She didn't know if it was satisfaction or pride she found in his eyes, but whatever it was ?
General Hux had just annihilated a whole group of planets. And the man dared to smile at the well-orchestrated plan he had put into motion without any guilt whatsoever.
Once it was done—he was the last one to look away.
He wasn't just a member of the First Order.
He was the First Order.
Tumblr media
And the reality of it made her admire and fear the man more than ever before...She almost stumbled forward because of it, and it caught the attention of General Hux himself who looked down at her with unforgiving narrowed eyes. It made her gulp and when their eyes met, JR-6025's breathing was cut short.
The man held more emotion in his eyes about one person interrupting his moment of triumph than about killing billions of people.
His eyes. This look.
It terrified her.
"…Forgive me." She uttered in a whisper towards General Hux before looking up at the sky where Hosnian Prime used to be and closed her eyes before entering back inside the facility.
"Forgive us."

If I may ask, what's your take on what happened to Riyo and Fox during Order 66?
During Order 66? What like canonically or AU-verse?
I mean canonically, Riyo was likely treated the same way as Bail Organa and other senators. Not enemies of the Empire but with increased restrictions. Fox likely carried out Order 66 but did not enter the Jedi Temple since that was the 501st.
Now if it's my own AU interpretation it is as follows:
Order-66 AU 1 (Canon-compliant)
Riyo is arrested and interrogated/tortured by Inquisitors and Lord Vader himself because of her known friendship with Ahsoka Tano. However, when they learn she truly knows nothing about Ahsoka's current whereabouts, she is released at the demands of the newly elected Pantoran senator Chi Eekway Papanoida.
Fox is a complete no-show during Order 66 as he was badly injured by General Grevious while defending Chancellor Palpatine during the Battle for Coruscant. Thire assumes command during Order 66 and serves Emperor Palpatine directly.
Order-66 AU 2 (Different Journeys AU)
Very similar to AU 1 except Riyo remains the Pantoran senator. She later has a son to an ‘unknown’ father.
Fox is caught in crossfire and electrocuted by Palpatine during the battle with Mace Windu. Friendly (dark side force) fire is on apparently. Bio-chip is fried. Fakes his death and escapes Coruscant.
Order 66 AU 3 (Bio-chip semi-removed AU aka Clusterfuck AU)
In this AU, Fives doesn’t get drugged and manages to escape. He tries to secretly dechip many clones but is unable to completely stop Order 66. Clones then must decide to obey orders or renegade and side with their Jedi. As such, Order 66 purge sparks a civil war.
Riyo works in the Senate to argue for a repeal of Order 66. Pantora threatens to leave the Republic and join the Separatist. She also joins Padme and other senators to help assist and relocate fugitive Jedi.
Fox initially obeys Order 66 and is tasked with tracking down escaped Jedi on Coruscant, putting him in direct conflict with Riyo, who lures him into a trap wherein Fox is captured by Thorn and dechipped. He then proceeds to continue working undercover.
Order 66 AU 4 (Mace Windu wins AU)
In this AU, Fox accompanies Mace Windu and the other Jedi to confront Palpatine. But when Palps enacts Order 66, Fox turns on Mace. During the fight, Fox gets electrocuted and blearily comes to his senses. He comes to just in time to witness General Windu fighting a red lightsaber wielding Sith. He shoots at Palpatine, who deflects the blaster shot but exposes himself to Windu, who swiftly decapitates him.
Order 66 AU 5 (It never happened AU aka Energy Drink Fox AU)
Fox drinks a killer combination of caf and an energy drink. Ends up killing Palps in 1v1 combat. You keep what you kill. Becomes Emperor Supreme Chancellor of the galaxy.
Riyo marries the Emperor Supreme Chancellor of the galaxy and gets him to relinquish power back to the Senate and call for elections. Boo.
Order 66 never happens. Riyo retires from her role as wartime senator to live life of peace and luxury in her family estate on Pantora. Fox follows her to become a house husband. Of all the clone commanders, he married up and is the most obnoxiously well-to-do. Riyo and Fox happily raise their children while Fox continues to build his secret caf empire and rules the galaxy (again).
~*~
TLDR; I have many, many ideas of what happened to Fox and Riyo during and after Order 66. But most of them are just stories and not comics 😅
