I’M SO FUCKING PISSED OFF SAM GIRLS ARE OPPRESSED FR

Do you consider Dean to be abusive to Sam?? I read a post saying the number of times he's punched him to vent his frustrations or control Sam, and how Sam is clearly used to it suggest it was like this when they were kids too.
So the thing is, if you go far enough into either the solo-Sam or solo-Dean side of the fandom, you run into those kind of fans. Who are convinced their fave is a poor helpless baby relentlessly abused and forced to stay with the other brother against their own best interest while being a veritable saint who has done nothing questionable ever.
Is hitting someone when you're frustrated or pissed off healthy? Of course not. However, the framing of certain Sam (and Cass) stans that Dean is constantly physically lashing out is both hardly accurate of to totality of Dean's behavior across fifteen seasons and pointedly amnesiac that while Sam is more inclined to lash out verbally, he has also hit Dean in frustration/anger, too. The whole first episode is them trading back and forth shoving each other around out of emotions ranging from mild annoyance to genuine anger. Even if we don't count him initiating the fight at the end of season four because he was high on demon blood (which...), he shoves Dean into a wall at the beginning of season five for doubting he might not be entirely over his addiction, and he does his own punching over the archangel box thing in season fourteen. Things like that are, of course, entirely different when Sam does it. For reasons. Which doesn't even get into the relative healthiness of the verbal stuff like his cajoling Dean to tell him about Hell and then throwing every insecurity Dean has over it back in his face later that season. Or how he always very pointedly wants to make Dean talk about Dean's feelings regardless of what Dean wants as his method of coping after a shared tragedy because he gets very weird and agitated about trying to "fix" Dean being obviously not okay.
I am not going to get into a whole long rant about the weird neo-puritanical impulses of current day fandom trying to entirely whitewash or blackwash characters (or ships) into Pure Good or Pure Evil according to whether or not particular fans like them other than to say it's totally a thing at play here. Which usually involves an absolute fuckton of over-identification and projection (see nearly every discussion of John Winchester, like, ever). I'm just pointing out that these are both complicated characters who sometimes make bad and ugly choices, that's ... a big part of what makes a good story, that they can also make good choices and be heroes while being flawed and fallible.
As to the whole underlying assertion about being abusively controlling? The Winchesters' childhood fucked them both up, but in really different - nearly opposite - ways. I am not at all saying that Dean can't be stubborn, bossy, or belligerent when he's made up his mind about something. However, Sam (and Sam's stans) often try to frame Dean not agreeing with Sam as bossing him around. It's all fine if Sam wants to do what Dean does. It's all fine if Dean agrees to do what Sam wants to do. But as soon as they have an insurmountable conflict of opinion? Several times Sam falls back into insisting Dean is trying to control him for not immediately agreeing Sam is right when Sam has decided he's sure he's right. He doesn't just want to be able to do what he wants to do, he wants to have the authority to make Dean agree and go along. And when Dean doesn't or he decides Dean won't? That's when he starts lying or sneaking around or taking off without a word - like he's back to being a rebelling teenager rather than an adult disagreeing with another adult. Which makes it easier for Dean, whose own issues do very definitely lean towards an overactive sense of responsibility for Sam and Sam's choices from his experience of their childhood? To fall back into treating him like someone being childish. Early on there's even a couple instances, like in season one when Sam characterizes his own choice to go on a revenge quest as Dean dragging him out of Stanford or in season five when he blames Dean for his being so willing to trust Ruby, where Sam tries to reframe his decisions as Dean's fault because he's so desperate for an authority to push back against when things didn't turn out like he was sure they would. Like, yeah, Dean has got some serious Big Brother Issues, but Sam has got just as big of a boat full of Little Brother Issues. Both sides of that are sometimes quite maladaptive and feed off each other. You get a far different result when they actually both commit to talking something out instead of falling into dumb behavior like this (and it being Dean's unilateral choices setting Sam off certainly happens its fair share of the time). Contrast how Dean reacts when Sam sneaks around with Ruby versus when Sam talks to him about his plan to jump in the Cage. Contrast how Sam reacts to Dean trying to stick himself in the box behind his back versus them working out a plan involving him going to confront Amara. And so on.
They very much push each other's deepest behavioral buttons, both intentionally and not. And extreme stans of one or the other have a tendency to convince themselves their fave is acting in a totally understandable and reasonable manner at every turn, while the other brother is an irrational, abusive, selfish fuck-up of an albatross around their neck. Hell, even without going to extremes, it can be very easy to sympathize with and fixate on all the positive attributes of and slights against your fave so much more clearly. Especially with fifteen years of show to remember. I can understand that to an extent, but I think abuse discourse is just plain ridiculous.

Having telekinesis and living with the Winchesters would include:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dean constantly asking you to use your powers because he thinks it’s cool
“Dean you’re such a child!”
“Yeah I am.”
Sam teaching you how to control your powers because sometimes you can get a little bit impulsive especially when you’re mad and throw stuff
morning runs with Sam to clear up your mind
using your powers to get Dean a beer because he’s a lazy ass
“Thanks (Y/N)!”
“Yeah, yeah!”
helping the brothers a whole lot in cases
killing monsters like it’s child’s play
Dean being infatuated by you and having somewhat of a crush
“Will you tell her?”
“Tell her what Sam?”
“Tell her you have a thing for her?”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Sure and Lucifer is a great guy.”
“Shut up!”
throwing random object at Sam/Dean when you’re fighting
“STOP THAT!”
“THEN STOP BEING AN ASS!”
Dean slowly losing his mind over you
until one night while Sam’s was out he hears you pleasuring yourself in your room
Dean being Dean, he can’t stop listening to your soft moans through the thin walls
getting hard instantly
until you reach your high and he hears stuff breaking in your room so he panics and rushes to see what’s going on
“DEAN WHAT THE HELL I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING OUT?”
you covering yourself with a blanket as he storms in
“Why is your night stand cracked in half and your lamp broken???”
“It’s nothing.”
(it clearly is since your powers never manifest during your happy times)
until it hits you
“Oh God did you hear me?”
“Yeah.”
“Oh god kill me.”
“Why? It’s hot.”
to be continued
as a one shot
maybe
to do or not to do a one shot based on this?????
JOKES ON YOU I DID IT ALREADY

bye I just have to talk about Good Omens for a sec since victoria and I watched S2 this weekend and I'm already rewatching it so I can pay more attention this time bc I know what happens now and am not like. desperate to find out. y'know like when you read a book the first time and you read it really fast and kinda skimmy bc you're just like WHAT HAPPENS NEXT so then the next time you read it you pick up on stuff you missed the first time simply bc you weren't reading carefully bc suspense.
okay anyway there will be spoilers so I'm gonna place a "read more" and also tag. so DO NOT keep reading if you don't want Good Omens S2 spoilers.
okay so I partly want to talk about this on a craft level? bc I was thinking the whole time about OFMD and how like. y'know, it's marketed predominantly as a ~comedy~ but it's a ROMANCE and if you know romantic beats then you recognize that bc you see the romantic beats? and GOS2 felt very much that way, where like I was seeing the romance beats and they made the brain go brrr. like obviously it's not the SAME bc Ed and Stede had never previously met whereas Crowley and Aziraphale have been running around together for millennia, but
Crowley saying to the nebula "you're gorgeous" and Aziraphale being like :D until he realizes Crowley wasn't looking at him
Aziraphale being DEVASTATED when he thinks Crowley has killed the goats and IS going to kill the kids but then being like !!!!!!!!!! when he realizes Crowley actually didn't kill the goats and isn't going to kill the kids
Crowley being the one to understand and offer Aziraphale comfort when Aziraphale thinks he's fallen
the moment you can see Aziraphale realize he's in love with Crowley in that church in 1941, there's the look on his face and ALSO the romantic music at that moment bc he has Realized
Aziraphale afterwards constantly stumbling over "my.......friend" when he has to introduce Crowley to people and isn't sure how to do it because yes they're friends but also it's something other than that to him
Crowley constantly being SO there for Aziraphale without even really realizing he's doing it (like yeah he gets >:[ about it sometimes, like when they argue about helping Jim and he initially says no and then goes back, but he always goes back anyway)
everyone—LITERALLY EVERYONE, heaven, hell, humanity—thinking they're legit a couple and just taking it as accepted fact, like it's not like it's played for a joke (I mean it is FUNNY but it's not the way it is on Supernatural when people assume Sam and Dean are a couple instead of brothers), it's just literally a thing everyone thinks. like Shax is like "I didn't used to believe it [but now I see it's true]" and Nina literally won't accept that they're NOT a thing even as Crowley is actively protesting
THE MOMENT CROWLEY REALIZES after Nina does that, where he's like. wait. WAIT. w a i t . and you can just see his whole universe turning on its axis bc he's never realized BUT NOW HE IS REALIZING AND—
there are more, obviously, but I was mostly focused on the ones BEFORE the romance became. well. I was gonna say explicit but this was all pretty explicit lmao, but I think the moment where Crowley realizes what's up is the moment it gets into territory that makes it much harder for the advertisers to say "besties :)" even though they totally still will.
BUT ALSO!! can I please just shout for a moment about how much I LOVED that like every major couple on the show mirrored Crowley and Aziraphale's relationship?? like from a craft perspective my brain was just going BRR BRR BRR BRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR bc I fucking loved the parallelism and especially seeing romantic couples that mirrored them where like, it's the kind of thing where if the network wouldn't LET neil make the queer romance explicit, you'd write that in intentionally to signal to queer viewers, "hey, the network is being a dick about this, but YOU will know that I DO mean for their relationship to be a romance"
but instead we got the signaling AND we got explicit queerness from the MCs (in more ways than just the romance btw which I feel is important to point out, bc while I am overjoyed that we DID get a queer romantic arc and a queer kiss onscreen, the show and these characters would not be any less queer in the absence of this romance) and I just !!!
Elspeth and Morag - you've got the one who does something bad and isn't particularly bothered about it and more importantly does it to keep food on the table (so to speak), and the one who's good and devout and can't stand by the bad thing even if it's to help them (but ultimately does in fact actually go out to help with the bad thing bc the "good" one loves the "bad" one)
Nina and Maggie - more explicit parallel that's MADE very explicit by Nina telling Crowley that he's like her, the kinda jaded cynical one and the one who believes in magic and goodness (and also the one who believes in magic is CLEARLY head over heels in love with the cynical one, while the cynical one hasn't realized how much they like the one who believes in magic lmao)
Beelzebub and Gabriel - okay I mean this one's a gimme bc it is QUITE LITERALLY Crowley and Aziraphale in that it's a demon and an angel that, as it turns out, have been working together and meeting secretly for ages and have gone from supposed enemies to reluctant allies to allies to friends to lovers, with the main difference being that it seems Beelzebub was more obviously in love first in their case lol. CAN I TELL YOU HOW I SCREAMED WHEN GABRIEL MADE THE JUKEBOX ALWAYS PLAY THAT SONG JUST BC BEELZEBUB LIKES IT
anyway 11/10 loved that no notes
okay I actually have more to say bc on the one hand YES the season ended in a DEVASTATING WAY (again a la OFMD—except that Crowley and Aziraphale got to have it out, which somehow is slightly less devastating than Crowley just waiting for an Aziraphale who never shows up—and in fact victoria sent me the below pic today lolsob)
...but I admit I'm a sucker for an angsty kiss, and there was SO MUCH explicit queerness ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE this season and I loved the romantic beats and the parallels between the other couples and Crowley/Aziraphale and the classic Good Omens humor and, well, everything else
like I'm a fan of the book and I loved S1, but S2 is like. like this season was MADE for me. like. that's the good stuff right there
but I'm gonna shut up for now and maybe my thoughts less about craft and more about devastation will be another post lmao

Same as the last anon, I would also love to hear about which boyking!Sam non-kink tropes you like, but since you gave the kink ones you like (and I love them as well) I am sending another ask to continue this (Honestly I could talk in the server since I did join but, you're a great author and your ideas are so great it's just intimidating striking up a conversation)
The first bullet point yes yes yes to spoiled brat Sam, indulging in copious amounts of demon blood and his sweet tooth coming back (I honestly think it never left he just ignored when he wanted something sweet) also the idea that he's unaware of how quickly he's gaining weight and how much he's put on is just lovely, honestly I love Sam at least at first being embarressed when gaining weight but, him not noticing is nice and not something I usually think of, now the thought he uses his psychic powers for a lot because he can and why shouldn't he so that paired with the pampering means he's not doing much is so just incredible 2. Bullet point two, yes hell is so ready to care and please Sam or the currying favour with him, this one seems particularly interesting if he didn't want to really take his place as king but something made him have to do it, so at first he doesn't want to take what he's offered because they are still demons, but with them constantly giving him things including food, eventually he has to give in and with that it becomes more persistent, so he has to accept more, which of course only leads to more gifts and he keeps telling himself he's going to do what he came down to hell for but, it's hard to do whatever it is when he's being fed so much and being taken care of, eventually the plan to do whatever he came down there for fades as he learns to enjoy the care
3.!!!!! Bullet point three on yours the feeding as control is soooooo just ad;hfaionfasoifinvce, so with Dean feeding half feral Sam and keeping him just coddled sure it's to make sure he won't end up possibly doing bad things, but even then there's a part of Dean that just enjoys caring for Sam even when he's like that, and Sam really just tries to get out of this but, he can't obviously it leads to him liking it eventually, then the ideas for another demon like Crowley or Demon!Dean fattening Sam is incredible I do like the doing it for power thing and in the case of demon!Dean x boyking!Sam, you have Sam becoming like a docile pet I think this would again (partly) stem from Dean still wanting to care for his little brother but, since he's a demon now the way he goes about it has become more extreme and perhaps darker even then it all comes from the rules instilled in him to be a caretaker for Sam, and perhaps there are other motives as well I just love the caretaking (and dark caretaking) 4. Fourth bullet point of your list oh the idea of boyking!Sam fattening Dean (especially human Dean since Sam knows he may want him to come back and be more human again) as a means of control is lovely, perhaps he likes the feeling of being the one to make descions and control things so he's worried his older brother will try to take that place, then the idea he just wants to make Dean happy and obviously he knows Dean likes eating so he indulges in that is so sweet honestly. Also yeah if Sam is just doing it because he's into it I don't think anyone would stop him because of his power 5. The fifth and finale bullet point on your list, that image is lovely (AND YES winged boyking!Sam I like the idea the the wings have holes and stuff like he just looks monsterous obviously still human enough but, with a lot of demonic features) I can just imagine how nice that would be for him, and hopefully Dean would be fine with Sam sitting on his stomach but, really even if he's not what can he do about it
Ah, well, I think the non-kink boyking!Sam tropes can wait for another post, but - thank you so much! I had a lot of fun writing out that list, haha. I don't think I've ever really sat down and done something like that before, so it was a great opportunity.
And: please don't be intimidated, I promise I don't bite. Hard. Unless you ask me to.
In all seriousness, though, I am a dumbass who'd love to have a conversation with anybody. Just ask @frumious-bandersnatch-ao3 to confirm dumbass and non-intimidating factors.

Beautiful Spouse’s Rewatch Thoughts SPN 04x10
Family Remains
“When does babygirl stop being babygirl? When does he grow up?”
We agreed that babygirl is always babygirl but he grew up post-hell. “I’m glad your mom doesn’t watch this, because their plumbing goes out a lot. Are they getting fucked by demons?” “That car would smell like ass. Two sweaty dudes constantly sleeping in that car. No showers until they get to a motel. All the fast food. I can’t imagine they have a motel to sleep in every night, either” “that was funny. Dean was like hooker sheets? Where do I get those?” “They use the cremation as a very easy way to narrow things down. That happens a lot in the later seasons” 🎶everybody’s gonna die🎶
“Did they buy the house to fix the marriage?” “Is this all his idea? What a shithead.” “just let them die. You can save the next family” “Nobody thinks that it’s a little weird?” “It’s going to be some weird shit” “Is it a raccoon? Never mind” “And they’re all going to be quiet when he says nobody move? This could be a kidnapping or a hijacking or whatever, because they clearly are not from the county. It’s a really weird reaction” “Why the fuck are you threatening him? He’s going to die if he moves, and he dies if he leaves the circle. That was weird” “Is this the start of Dean getting unhinged?” “Is she an actual feral child?” “How many times are we going to fucking yell the kids name?” “Helluva wide wall” “That got me” “I’m not a huge fan of jumpscares” “Oh you’re fucked now bud” “Jumpscare #2. Where is it?” “It’s gonna get him with the music and the whole thing…wait for it…right there” “I don’t think he survived” “This is another weird moment from that family’s POV. Dean could still be the murderer. I suppose he didn’t kill the dog but still” “uh huh” “So it was a marriage fixer house? Nailed it” “Why the fuck would you care so much about some random dude?” “EXACTLY” “Huh?” “Is this Ghostfacers cam or what?” “yeah sure. That kid isn’t going to need therapy at all. He’ll be fine” “Sorry Castiel isn’t home right now” “Oh he’s saying Danny not Castiel” “Might want to move away from the hole in the wall” “Is that the first non-supernatural thing we know of that he kills?” “He murdered her ass”
“They’re never going to look at dad the same way probably” “Should probably burn the remains this time. Otherwise, there will be real vengeful spirits” “You would say that Sam” “Yeah, my brother is dead, but sure, we’re fine” “Why is Dean so disturbed about this hell stuff now and not earlier?” “You can sure try to fill that hole”

(Nightly RP 1st part of Dark Hunters Storyline)
Charlie
I can’t believe this! thinking to myself as I spread files all over the map table how did we not know? What are the signs? going back to the files on the table I keep reading
Ruby
Wiping the gun cleaning oil from my hands, I look up to see Charlie amidst a mess on the table.  What on Earth are you up to Charlie? I ask, looking at the mess
Dean
leave the armory and head into the map room char? looking around what the hell is all this? seeing papers scattered everywhere am i missing something?
Sam
Carrying my favorite gun and another modified sawed-off shot gun, I follow Ruby and Dean out of the armory. Keeping our always growing stock of weapons in good working order took time and a regular cleaning session. It was nice to have the extra hands, and now that Ruby had proven herself to be pretty damn handy with firearms of all kinds I was going to take advantage of her help as often as I could. Wow, Charlie. You look like you’ve been busy. What is all this?
Charlie
sighing I’m pretty sure I’m on to something… races of beings we have never seen before…it starts with this file here pointing and it references several others, but as I’m sure you all know by now not everything is in order anymore…. So there’s something but there are holes….
Dean
What do you mean different races? looking around at all the files
Alex
Walk inside with Henry and see Charlie and dean and ruby and Sam what going on?
Henry
Mrs. butter isn’t going to like the mess
Charlie
Hey Alex…. Dean I mean things we have never come across…
Alex
Agree with Henry. Charlie??? What wrong?
Ruby
Looking over all the files, I pick one up A little light reading, Charlie?
Sam
Taking one of the folders from the stack on the table Appollites? You’re looking into Greek Mythology now?
Charlie
That’s not important right now… I’m sure she’d understand…. Look! pointing at the files
Dean
I walk over grabbing a file reading it a bit about dark hunters what the hell is all this stuff? What species haven’t we come across? reading more about dark hunters
Ruby
The folder I picked up is labeled "Daimons"
Charlie
Look at the names on the folders… have you heard of any of these??
Alex
I look name of folder hey werebear Giggle
Ruby
I know that Daimons are lesser divinities or spirits, often personifications of abstract concepts, beings of the same nature as both mortals and deities, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature, or the deities themselves
Charlie
It might just be connected… I’m not sure yet
Sam
Charlie, I’m interested in Greek myths as much as anybody, I’ve read Homer’s Odyssey half a dozen times at least. Clash of The Titans is another favorite. Dean and I even met Prometheus, the actual God once. Why the sudden interest?
Charlie
Reading from my notes: The Dark-Hunters are immortal warriors who sell their souls to the Greek goddess Artemis for an Act of Vengeance against the one who murdered them.[3] Once they've had their revenge, they are dedicated to defending mankind against Daimons (a psychic race cursed by Apollo) and other preternatural enemies.
Henry
picks up a file on Artemis Charlie what did you find
Ruby
Is there anything special you want us to look at?
Charlie
Apollites were created in order to prove to Zeus that human beings could be improved on. They were born from the union between Apollo and an unknown nymph. Four children were born from this first mating and within days the children grew into adulthood. They possessed improved senses, acute hearing, strength, beauty, psychic ability, and superior intellect. In order to curb their ambitions (global domination), Zeus confined the Apollites to Atlantis, where they intermarried with the Atlantean natives. They constantly fought with the Greeks, which pleased Apollo because he planned for them to eventually help him overthrow Zeus. All of these are connected… and to other gods??
Ruby
Your point being?
Charlie
I can’t find any proof of their death!
Dean
Where did all this stuff come from? Dark hunters? What like hunters who have gone rogue like what was that one guy went dealt with who came after us Sammy?
Alex
Reading Charlie check this out werebear
Ruby
I walk over to Sam and give him a look then look at Charlie
Charlie
From what I’ve gathered they were humans Who died a tragic death… just before they crossed Artemis appears to them. If they pledge their soul she allows them revenge… but then they serve her for all eternity… goddess of the hunt…. What does she need an army for?
Ruby
Are you basing this on myth or something else?
Charlie
It’s what I’ve found so far in the files ….
Sam
We can't be the only things protecting the world at large from monsters
Dean
But that’s still humans technically so how is this something we need to worry about? Humans gone bad big deal. We’ve dealt with that before I mean for Gabe’s sake we deal with demons on a daily who were also once human
Henry
This is a goddess
Ruby
Looking again at Sam, I try to ask him what he thinks of Charlie's behavior
Dean
I nudge Sam whispering _what is she on? She smoking something other than weed or has she just lost her damn mind?
Charlie
Are they really human though? They live forever and don’t have a soul…. And like many of our monsters…. They only come out at night
Ruby
Seeing the blank look on his face, I walk over and whisper I think she’s finally lost it Sam. Charlie has checked out.
Henry
is confused  Char are you feeling ok? This level weird for you
Sam
Shakes my head and shrugs
Dean
Demons dont have souls anymore either char. Seriously you have finally snapped I think
Alex
I look confused Charlie? are you ok?
Charlie
pulling up a newspaper article I found in the file this house burned to the ground. All occupants found dead… massacred… except the homeowner….
Alex
I gasp whoa what is that
Dean
And your point would be? Structure fires happen all the time char
Charlie
This was the homeowner…
Sam
Maybe the homeowner wasn’t found because they weren’t inside the house when it burned. Lots of people go missing for more than supernatural reasons… you got anything else that might make this something more like our kinda thing?
Ruby
I’m afraid I have to agree Charlie.
Dean
Looks like a douchebag to me but this isn’t an us thing char.
Charlie
Here’s the thing…. I found another article…. From 60 years prior… same circumstances…. And the homeowner…well……see for yourself
Henry
Who is that? Fires make bodies disappeared
Sam
Still not hearing anything that sets off any of my internal alarm bells. Family resemblance, I can see it
Charlie
But they’re not related… in fact neither of them have any records… except of their deaths
Dean
You followed the entire family line to completely zero out any relation?
Charlie
going to my room I get my laptop and bring it to the table and open another article another house fire in Oregon… again the whole family was murdered…. All occupants found but one…. The perp was later found, he was burned alive…. This time the homeowner was a woman. This happened in 1923….. here she is
Dean
Ok what does that have to do with the others?
Charlie
clicking a couple of times I open an article in New Orleans about a woman who was just elected onto town council
Sam
Dean, can't really count on that either. A lot of children, born out of wedlock back then were not something that anyone claimed. No way to follow a line completely
Henry
That’s not convincing
Dean
My point is where or how is this our thing? What yall think its another stein family thing?
Charlie
I know there is something here …. pointing out the tattoo on the newer images
Ruby
I’ve seen a lot of things in all my years. I thought I’ve seen pretty much everything.
Charlie
But what if you haven’t Ruby? What if the men of letters knew about it? But all the ones here were killed before they could act…
Alex
Sound like copy cat murder and that human thing
Dean
Char what is the point? Another stein family thing... Just happenstance? It makes no sense?
Charlie
Maybe… maybe not… look at this… shows several articles of gruesome attacks where one person miraculously gets out but is never seen again
Dean
Wait....go back.... There’s the same person again in that one that was in the other one
Sam
Looks at the photos of some pretty gruesome deaths. Charlie, back in the dark ages the church itself inflicted some pretty horrible things on a lot of people. Looks over at Dean, slightly concerned about Charlie now Maybe you’ve been spending too much time cooped up in here. How about we get out, go for a drive or something?
Henry
Umm? Hmm
Charlie
I really think I found something we haven’t seen before…
Sam
Charlie, you sure you’re feeling alright. I reach out and check her forehead for fever, but she doesn’t feel warm
Henry
That’s impossible we faced everything
Dean
There isn’t anything we haven’t seen have you forgotten we've been through it all? I think it’s time to check your ass into the nut house
Charlie
brushing Sam’s hand away I have a determined look on my face
Henry
Or call Dad to play doctor on her
Alex
Dean! That wasn’t nice be nice
Charlie
But what if we haven’t?? How many times were we busy with what? I dunno the apocalypse! Look at the files you’re all holding!!
Dean
You are freakin delusional char! I seriously think the geek squad attacked you too hard
Sam
Looks at my file Mine has a heading of Apollites. I remember the basics about them… you summed it up very well before
Ruby
I look again at my folder Daimons
Dean
Dark hunters.... looking at the file hearing all the others at the same time well.... Wait... But how are they
Charlie
According to that one, they were once appollites. They, at Apollos order stood up against Zeus and he cursed them… death at the age of 27 unless they consume a human soul… almost like a succubus… and they must feed once a month, or they die
Dean
And the dark hunters work for them ok...
Charlie
I explained that one… I don’t know why but Artemis is building an army… it can’t be good for us here!
Alex
Whoa
Ruby
Wouldn't it be hard over the years to hide that many deaths?
Charlie
points to Alex’s folder and werebears, it seems our bear isn’t the only one… but they’re a lot bigger….
Dean
Not when they haven’t been hiding them exactly
Alex
Wide eye oh lord
Charlie
Not in a city like New Orleans…. Seems that’s their home base….
Ruby
How could I have missed this? I ask, shaking my head
Sam
In New Orleans? Well, of course it does. Looks over at Ruby, wondering if she’s thinking what I’m thinking.
Dean
Great more of a freak show than before. hearing New Orleans nope! They can stay there
Charlie
Still think I’m crazy??
Henry
No I’m not going back especially with Klaus still lose
Sam
Gotta tell you Charlie, I’m not at all excited to be going anywhere near New Orleans again
Ruby
I'm sorry to have doubted you Charlie
Alex
Oh god I worries not again I can’t no I don’t want go no
Charlie
There’s one saving grace… the place we are going… none of them are allowed to use their powers. In fact it is warded against it.
Ruby
What? Where?
Dean
Yeah I believe that why and how? Who has warding strong enough for Artemis to not be able to use powers?
Alex
Oh oh ok Took a deep breath worries ok
Ruby
ok
Dean
Yeah what the hell could POSSIBLY go wrong in New Orleans?
Henry
Klaus
Alex
I look over and nod
Ruby
I look over at Sam. I know the scholar in him should be salivating by now.
Dean
Since when does anything supernatural follow the damn rules???
Sam
Well, not sure that I’d put it exactly like that, but I do agree with Dean on this. We certainly have enough history behind us to authenticate what he’s saying.
Alex
Thinking figure out how to make sense
Ruby
I pack my satchel and get ready.
Henry
You guys are not making any sense
Charlie
pulling out another file sanctuary… a picture falls out of the folder the one place where no supernatural being is allowed to act out of line. They get served what they like and drink and party here… away from the locals
Sam
Sanctuary? Really? And you believe this?
Alex
Ohh
Dean
Yeah not allowed since when is supernatural anything given permission to get out of line? They still do
Ruby
What are the chances of running into anyone we know?
Charlie
It’s in the file… if nothing else the men of letters were good at research… we’ve just had more than enough invasions in here and things got messy..,
Sam
knows first-hand how 'messy' things have gotten Okay Charlie, if you feel this strongly that we need to check this out, then I’m with you, let’s go check it out.
Dean
Char....not too many things have been stopped even in a sanctuary
Charlie
New Orleans is a tourist trap. They celebrate the supernatural there. Ghost walks, zombie walks, vampire parties… all of it…. We’ve always just assumed it was an act… but what if it isn’t
Dean
That one priest was killed by evil in the sanctuary of the church come on seriously?
Alex
Should we check it out what sup?
Dean
Yeah we shouldn’t assume anything ever in our line of work
Henry
blinks and looks around
Ruby
Everyone have everything they need?
Charlie
AND during my search…. I found the location of a MOL bunker… located about 3 blocks away from sanctuary…. Says they closed it up in the 1930s after the chairman passed. No need for a hotel
Sam
Drops my folder on the table Wait, there’s another Men of Letters Bunker? Charlie, don’t you think you buried the lead a little bit. Hell, I’d be willing to go to New Orleans yesterday just to get a look at a second Bunker! With power or no power. Is super excited about making this trip now
Dean
Great another bunker??? Thought there was only one?
Henry
grabs a to go bag
Ruby
Hopefully it will keep us off  _you know whose radar.
Alex
Nice
Charlie
shaking my head we already found one… where that girl/demon thing was trapped… I found a document saying there are bunkers all over the USA… I’m sure the locations of those are here too…
Ruby
Musing to myself I wonder what we could do if we could have all the bunkers connected
Henry
Makes sense they need a place to hide
Sam
Better plan for a camp out. If this Bunker really is from the 1930’s there is no guarantee we can get any kind of power up and running, doubt they had a Mrs Butters, might not be anything at all left inside the place. Could have been looted years ago. Packs a second bag with essentials and extra everything, then grabs my Go Bag.
Henry
If it’s another bunker we won’t need much
Charlie
Still takes the same key Sammy… if they didn’t have one… they can’t get in….
Ruby
Gee Sam. How about a little more inspiration for the gang?
Henry
runs to grab Newt and my favorite pillow
Sam
just being real Ruby
Charlie
I grab a bag with some clothes, my laptop and the files and stand with ruby
Dean
I would much rather have my own weapons anyway pack up my duffle and some other bags
Henry
I can’t sleep without them
Alex
Hell yeah I can’t wait see the bunker it will be awesome excited happy
Ruby
"Everyone ready? Hold on and look out for....everything.   Sam, 3-2-1" I pop us to the coordinates Charlie gave me.
Alex
Hold on to ruby
Dean
grab ahold of your shoulder right before you pop
Henry
grabs onto Dean
Charlie
grabbing my phone using the gps and the old map from the ART room I lead the way just another block this way…. stopping to tap a couple of bricks on the sidewalk a door opens in ground revealing the keyhole. Who has the key?
Dean
hand you the key I grabbed right before we poofed
Charlie
taking the key from dean I put it in the lock and turn it and behind me we see this
Henry
Damm that’s cool?
Dean
Nice! looking at how it opens that’s different even more like a batcave
Alex
Damnnnn son! That awesome! Walking down whiles holding on to wall
Sam
Steps inside carefully, following the steps downwards. The stale air and silence greet us. It feels the same to me as when we walked into our Bunker the very first time.
Charlie
as we enter the bunker the lights turn on no Mrs butters but something works…
Dean
walks down the steps taking in the smell and sight of this old place
Henry
walks down into bunker
Sam
Not sure if that makes me feel better or worse Charlie. Chuckles at the bottom of the steps Look at this! Just even more of an expired time capsule, look at this stuff… Runs my fingers across what appears to be some kind of radio station set up.
Dean
Wow the lights actually do work? That’s surprising
Ruby
Bringing up the rear, I take one last look around us before descending into the stair well.
Charlie
looking around I see beautiful French furniture  they certainly knew how to decorate…
Alex
Oh damn I look around this is beautiful
Sam
Okay, I’m going to check and see if the Men of Letters here had anything like our Artifacts room. Doesn’t even wait for anyone to acknowledge what I said, too excited to go and see.
Henry
looks around and checks the kitchen  no snacks
Charlie
there are cathedral style ceilings and French doors to each of the rooms with frosted glass and rich looking wooden furniture but in the Center of the room a familiar looking map table
Dean
looking around at all the furniture i go find a room to put my stuff in seeing the Victorian bed this is too fancy why did they feel the need in a place like this?
Ruby
Everyone has scattered like roaches going everywhere. "And we're walking" I mutter
Henry
checks out the rooms
Charlie
laying my things out on the map table I take a look around this place… it’s beautiful… not what I was expecting at all…. I guess the French have good taste
Dean
after putting my things in the room i claimed i go in search of the armory and my eyes get big looking at everything
Alex
I look around YO! WE NEED TO STAY HERE THIS IS AMAZING!
Henry
There’s no food in kitchen!  hungry sigh as I throw my bag on a the bed
Ruby
I'm amazed at the architecture of the place and how different it is from the one in Kansas
Charlie
We’ll go get some supplies little dude. I think we are going to be here a while
Alex
Gasp GUYS CHECK OUT THE WEAPONS! I look around cool weapons
Dean
I come put of the armory Now this is badass! I go back to my room grab my weapon cleaning gear and figure out how to break it down and clean it and put it back together
Ruby
I perk up at the word weapons. I can't wait to see what they have here. I head for the armory.
Henry
What you find Dean?  walks up to check the gun out
Dean
It’s a badass machine gun I have to find out if it still works
Henry
Cool I hope it dose
Sam
After trying door after door, I finally hit what looked like possible pay dirt! Going inside, I’m confronted with the décor I expected. Racks of boxed and wrapped dust covered items and wooden box after box of what could only be card files. Yes! Moving to the door, I yelled to the others FOUND IT!! then went right back to looking around.
Alex
I gasp spot it and I take it out on and I run out to the other GUYS GUYS GUYS CHECK THIS OUT HOLY GABE!
Henry
Guys I found a spy camera
Charlie
I start exploring and soon claim a room, it’s got a huge canopy bed with a beautiful red bedspread
Dean
roaming through I find a weird gadget that looks odd ummm what the hell is this??? (Minus the head that’s attached to it 🤣) I walk out of that room not even touching it
Charlie
I find a couple of old journals and some photo negatives and head out to the others
Dean
walk back out yeah do not go to the dungeon there’s weird things down there
Ruby
Back in the map room, I wander over to the communications area. Looking at all the switches and dials, I see one marked 'intercom'. Flipping the switch, I see it light up. Tapping the microphone, I can see it's working. "Uh, guys. don't forget we have a purpose for being here. We can explore more later."
Charlie
hearing ruby I head back to the map room you’re right Ruby, we do. I spread the files over the table and set up my laptop
Dean
hearing the loud intercom um Ruby, I’m right here and not deaf
Sam
When called, walks back to meet the others, covered in dust, with an old ledger tucked under one arm and an open file in my hand. More interested in my continued searching than a meeting of minds
Henry
Fine sets down the camera and goes to the table
Ruby
Where's Alex?
Dean
Dont go to the dungeon I dont even want to know what the hell that contraption was that I found
Charlie
We need to make a plan to infiltrate sanctuary
Alex
Aww man but ok Walk over to Ruby this is awesome
Alex
Right here Smiles
Henry
Torture chamber or the dirty version
Dean
Um definitely NOT a thing of pleasure Ok so whats the plan?
Henry
So torture
Charlie
Well someone is going to have to go in….
Alex
who can?
Dean
And do what? First are their cameras you can hack?
Sam
Looks up from the file Sorry, guys. What are we hacking?
Dean
I would say Ruby and Alex would be the least suspicious but not sure it would be safe for Alex
Charlie
No, they have no surveillance. They have the werebears that own the club… when they shift they’re more than 8ft tall… pretty good deterrent
Alex
Wide huge eye me!
Ruby
And we just walk in?
Charlie
I can wire them and give you guys some cameras… give us an idea of the kinds of people we are facing
Dean
Bear can fit in kinda
Charlie
Might explain a bit of where bear comes from…
Dean
I dont know that it would be safe for bear even if she makes it in being smaller than the rest
Ruby
I hold up a finger Just to make this clear...we're customers, or are we pedaling something else?
Alex
I gulp nervous
Charlie
Just customers ruby, sanctuary is where they all go for peace. I just want to see who some of them are
Sam
It’s okay Alex. I’m sure Ruby will keep a close watch out for you. I trust her with my own life, I know you’ll be okay with her.
Henry
agrees
Charlie
Ruby
Ruby
Thank you. Just clarifying.
Alex
Nod
Charlie
With that many in there? I’m not risking you guys that much. I just need you to be eyes and ears so I can see what kind of numbers we are facing, or if it is even true
Ruby
Don't worry Alex. They will have to go through me before I will let anything happen to you.
Dean
So basically, a walk through without being weird
Ruby
Are we being wired or just report back what we see?
Alex
Where we walking in to?!!
Dean
She said she will set yall up with wired and cameras
Sam
I don't think it's safe to go without camera's. We need to see who else is in there
Ruby
Easy Alex. Just the sanctuary. Easy in and out
Charlie
I will set you up with cameras and a wire. Super discreet. From what I can tell it’s a normal club… they keep it that way in case there are tourists who wander in…. The type that hang there… well they’re a little of everything…. pulling up my phone Google says they have great food though smiles weakly
Sam
Exactly Hopes we’re not biting off more than we can chew with all of this
Henry
Agree
Ruby
What are the hours on this place? 24/7?
Alex
Nervous worries I feel like a bait girl again
Charlie
Pretty much, they’re only closed between 5am and 7am….
Ruby
Well let's hope this doesn't turn into an all nighter.
Henry
hugs you will be fine
Dean
Dont worry Alex you're family we have your back we wouldn’t use you like that. Just need yall to go in check the place out and we will see what we are working with
Alex
Hugs back nod
Henry
nods agreeing
Alex
Nod ok Took a deep breath
Charlie
getting out wires and cameras I start setting up Dean? Wanna help with a sound check while they get ready?
Dean
We got you dont worry. Sure I walk over and grab a mic and headset tapping it and speaking into the mic is this thing on?
Charlie
the mic comes to life sending some feedback into your ears
Henry
sits next to Sam
Dean
pull the headset off holding my hears ouch! A little high!
Alex
Ok Walk over to Ruby
Sam
What do you think about all this Henry?
Alex
Ready Ruby?
Ruby
You bet. You?
Henry
There’s no snacks  hugs newt
Alex
Nod yeah I am ready and nervous Took a deep breath
Ruby
Leaning over to Alex. I tell her quietly The secret. is look like you belong there.
Sam
True that... looks across at everyone true that.... we'll get some after this
Alex
Wide eye
Ruby
Do we need a comms check?
Henry
I’m hungry. But this is weird
Charlie
Everything is checked handing ruby and Alex the mic’s and cameras hide them like I taught you and go get dressed for a club…. We won’t be far…
Alex
Yes ma’am I have red dress Smiles
Ruby
Smiling at Charlie. I tell her Easy peasy, Charlie. This isn't my first such rendezvous.
Ruby
Taking a deep breath and letting it out Ok, Alex. Let's do this!
Alex
Yeah!
Sam
Henry, when we start getting into the realms of Greek myths and Sanctuaries, things we just don’t understand… well, let’s just say, things can turn in to a big steaming pile… really quickly, and I say that from past experience… what have we gotten ourselves into now
To be continued
......................................................
1. Charlie is going through files at the map table when Dean, Sam and Ruby come in from the armory after having cleaned all the weapons. A little surprised at the mess ruby asks Charlie what she’s up to. Charlie starts to explain as Henry and Alex come in from outside talking about how nice it is outside. Stopping as they get to the bottom of the stairs Henry comments on how Mrs butters is going to be mad at Charlie.
2. Charlie waves off the comment saying this was important and she’d understand. The team gathers around the table each picking up a file and reading the labels. Dean- dark hunters Sam- appollites ruby- daimons Alex- werebears and Henry picks up one on Artemis. They all start asking questions at once and Charlie tries to field them all, before telling everyone to be quiet as she pulls out some news articles. (I have a couple to post here)
3. Sam, Dean and ruby start whispering to each other thinking Charlie has lost it. Henry and Alex are a bit confused by Charlie’s behavior and Charlie is trying to make them understand. Finally she pulls out a newspaper article about an arson in California from 35 years ago. House was burned to the ground but the body of the homeowner was never found. Dean remarks that isn’t their thing and the rest agree. Charlie challenges him asking what if it is. Sam says they’d need proof and Ruby agrees
4. Charlie runs to get her laptop and brings up a more recent article about another house fire in Oregon. Same story. Henry says that isn’t really convincing. Alex says it sounds more like a copy cat murder and that’s a human thing. Then Charlie turns the laptop around sharing some old pictures from the early 1900s. Victims of other gruesome deaths. Sam asks what is remarkable about that, and wonders if she’s spent too much time inside the bunker, then Charlie shows new photos that seem to be of the same person. The team takes notice and dean asks if she thinks they’re dealing with another stein family.
5. Charlie tells them no, she thinks it may be something they hadn’t seen before. Henry says that is impossible, they had faced everything. Ruby comments that in all her years she was sure she’d seen everything. Charlie again challenged with what if they haven’t. Sam touched her forehead thinking she’s delusional, and dean just says what he thinks. Alex tells Dean that wasn’t nice and he shrugs it off. Charlie is getting irritated and tells them to look at the files they’ve been holding. Each reads off the title of their folder and Charlie explains what they are.
6. After hearing about each new species each team member reacts, not sure what to do with this new information. Charlie asks if they still think she’s crazy. Ruby shakes her head and asks how she missed this. Charlie says according to what she’s found so far, most of this seems to take place in New Orleans. Sam and Henry aren’t excited at the prospect of heading there. Dean makes a rude remark and Alex is a bit nervous. Charlie says where they are going… nothing can happen.
7. Dean jumps at that comment asking when anything supernatural ever listens to rules. Sam though reluctant, agrees with his brother. Alex and Henry are still trying to make sense of it all. Charlie brings out another file marked “sanctuary” and shares the contents. She explains what sanctuary is and why everyone is welcome, and why it is in New Orleans. Each team member shares their thoughts on it, and they make plans to go to New Orleans where Charlie has found out there is another MOL bunker that’s been unused since the 1930s and the team will hide out there as they dig into what Charlie has found.
8. They pack a few bags, Henry says if it is another bunker they won’t need much. Dean says he would rather have his own weapons and Alex says she’s kind of excited to see another bunker, this one was pretty neat. They all get ready, Henry runs to his room quickly to get newt and his favorite pillow saying he can’t sleep without them. Ruby pops them over to New Orleans and Charlie, using her gps and an outdated map leads them to the bunker. Once inside they look around and comment on the French architecture inside and the Victorian style beds in the rooms and the furniture choices. Sam starts searching for the artifact room and dean starts looking for the armory and soon comes out with a cool looking weapon (let it be whatever you want it to be lol)
9. The team is a bit excited at the new space , and theyre all searching through, claiming bedrooms, checking out the kitchen and looking for neat gadgets (you can find a few if you like) when Ruby speaks up and said they did have a purpose for coming. Charlie nods and Sam finally locates the artifact room. Ruby calls the team to the table and they gather around complaining that they weren’t done exploring. Charlie says ruby is right, they needed to make a plan for how to infiltrate sanctuary. Dean says that sending Ruby and Alex in would be the least suspicious since they were the right type of people. Henry agrees.
10. Alex and ruby start questioning what they’re going into. Charlie explains and promises to set them up with wires and cameras. Alex is nervous and says she feels like a bait girl again. Dean reassured her and tells her that the family would never use her like that. Sam and Henry agree, while Ruby promises to stay right by her side. Alex calms down a bit, she and ruby head to get ready for the club while Charlie sets up their surveillance equipment. Sam and Henry are talking and they really hoped that they were ready for what they had gotten themselves into.

You're So Small
Sam Winchester Smut
I've never written smut before, so try not to judge too hard. Ok? Ok.
Pairings: Sam Winchester x Y/n, Dom!Sam x Sub!Y/n
Warnings: Swearing, Sex, Sam Winchester's gaint...you know.
Um...it's smut. And Supernatural. I think that's all the warning you really need. So read at your own risk.
Not warnings, just things involved:
Size kink. Don't know if that bothers anyone, but if it does, don't read this.
Daddy kink. Because I have daddy issues and if you haven't notices, Sam is daddy.
Praise kink. Don't even ask.
Tumblr media
I'm in the bunker's library, trying to figure out a way to get that stupid book down. Some asshole keeps putting it on a high shelf, knowing that I can't reach it. I hate asking people to reach things for me, but I think I might have to, this time. Even standing on something, I can't reach the book. This is so stupid. I just wanna read my favorite book, but some asshole just had to put it on that shelf.
"Need help?"
A turn around and see Sam standing behind me, looking almost amused by my situation. He's got that stupid smirk on his face, as if this is funny. I turn back to face the bookshelf, annoyed with the fact that he's amused by this.
"I just wanted to read a book, but some asshole keeps putting it up there."
All of a sudden, I feel him press against me as he reaches for the book. I'm trying my best to act like this isn't a total turn on for me. The fact that he towers over me is a huge turn on and I'm pretty sure there's a wet spot in my underwear now. He's huge and I really just want him to man handle me. Like, I want this man to hardcore- Wait a damn minute.
"How'd you know what book I wanted?"
"Because I'm the asshole that put it up there."
Why the hell would he do that? He knows that I hate having to get help to reach things. So why would he put my book up there?
"Why? You know I hate asking for help."
"But it's cute."
What's cute about constantly asking him and Dean to get things off high shelves for me? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. It's frustrating and stupid. But he obviously doesn't feel the same way. While I find it annoying, he finds it...cute?
"What's cute about having to ask you to reach things?"
"You're so small. It's cute."
Is he flirting with me? Sam Winchester? Seriously? I mean, ever since I met him, I hoped that it would happen one day. But now that it's actually happening, I'm not sure what to do.
"You think that me being small is cute? Seriously?"
"Yeah. You're just so, tiny. It's adorable."
I can't tell if he's flirting or teasing.
"Right. Well, I'd like my book."
He looks me in the eyes and holds my book above my head, just out of my reach.
"Come on. Don't be a dick."
"What do you say?"
"What?"
"When you want something from someone, what do you say?"
"Sam, give me my book before I kick you in the dick."
"Not even close."
"Please?"
"Of course. But only because you said please."
He hands me the book and smirks at me as I sit down at one of the tables in the library. He walks away after a few seconds of staring at me. That was weird. I'd expect something like that from Dean. But Sam? I wouldn't expect him to randomly tease me or flirt with me like that.
"Y/n." A voice calls to me from the doorway.
I turn and see Dean entering the room. He's got the Impala's keys in his hand, so I'm assuming he's leaving. Probably to go on a run. We're running low on a lot of stuff. I was starting to think I'd have to make a run, myself. Since apparently two grown men can't keep the kitchen stocked.
"Yeah?"
"I'm going on a run. You need anything?"
"No, but can I ask you something before you go?"
"Sure. What's up, short stack?"
"I already told you to stop calling me that."
"Right. What's your question, shorty?"
I roll my eyes, but decide to just let it go, being that Dean could tease me all day long and not get tired of it.
"Sam's acting weird and I was wondering if you knew anything about it. Like why."
"Weird how?"
"Like, I think he was flirting with me. He never does that."
"You still don't know? God Y/n, isn't it obvious?"
"What?"
"Sam's crushing on you. He has been for a while now. I'm surprised it's taking you so long to realize."
So it's true? Sam likes me? I've had my suspicions for a while now, but I didn't think it was true. Especially because of our size difference. He's 6'5 and I'm 4'11. I didn't think he'd wanna be anything more than friends with someone that much smaller than him. Big height differences are a turn on for me, but I wasn't sure if Sam felt the same.
"You're joking, right?"
"You can't tell me you haven't seen the way he looks at you."
He's right. I've seen the way Sam looks at me. Looking back, it's not the way that someone looks at a friend. It's more of a look that you'd give someone you wanna fuck senseless.
"You're serious? You're not messing with me or something?"
"Now why would I do that?"
"Because you're a bit of an asshole sometimes."
"Am not."
"Yes, you are."
"Look, just trust me on this. Sam likes you and he was trying to make a move."
"By teasing me about being short? That seems like more of something you'd do. Did you put him up to it?"
He doesn't say anything and starts heading for the door. I think that's my answer. He definitely put Sam up to it.
"You sort out your feelings on that. I'll be back later."
He leaves and I start thinking, well fantasizing, about Sam. I do that a lot. Mostly when he's not around. I spend a lot of time fantasizing about the things he could do to me. About the things I want him to do to me. Most people would see someone twice their size and sex would be the last thing on their mind. But me? I just want this man to manhandle me until I'm begging him to stop. These are the things I fantasize about when I'm alone and I know for sure that no one's gonna walk in on me. Now that I know my fantasies could come true one day, I only want Sam more. I want him more than I've ever wanted anyone.
"You day dreaming about me again?"
I jump in surprise as Sam walks up behind me.
"Sam, um, I was just, um-"
"Admit it. You want me."
How in the fuck does he know? There's no way in hell he knows. He's gotta be fucking with me. Yeah. Yeah, that's it. He's just fucking around.
"I want an answer, sweetheart."
"Um...I was just reading my book."
"Then why's it still closed?"
Dammit. Busted. I got caught day dreaming about his dick inside me, sucking him off, letting him fuck me while we pull on each other's hair. But he doesn't know exactly what I was fantasizing about. So I think I'm good.
"Thinking about the things I could to do you?" He asks in a husky voice.
Damn that's hot.
BUT HOW THE FUCK IS HE DOING THAT?! IT'S LIKE HE'S READING MY MIND!
"Yes."
I blurted it out like I've been wanting to say it since I first laid eyes on him. I have.
"I knew it. You have all kinds of dirty thoughts, don't you, Y/n? You have all kinds of thoughts about letting me fuck you senseless. Don't you?"
If he only knew the thoughts going through my mind right now. He'd probably call a priest.
"Um, well, I don't-"
"Don't lie to me."
His dominant voice is so...hot.
"Yes."
"Yes, what?"
He's so close to me now that there's no space between us. I can see his bulge and I'm fighting every urge to suck him off. He's so dominant and so big and so...I want him to fuck me until I can't walk.
"Yes, daddy."
"Tell me what you want."
"Um, I think I'm gonna finish my book in my room. It's kinda crowded in here, don't you think?" I ask as I nervously stand up from my chair.
Now he's towering over me and all I can do is look up at him, hoping that he slams me on this table and fucks me like I've never been fucked before.
"Y-You're really big."
"I've got something big I wanna show you, but only if that's what you want."
Even while being dominant, he's so gentle and sweet.
"Tell daddy what you want."
"I want you to fuck me, daddy."
"As you wish, princess."
The next thing I know, I'm being slammed on the table. Yes, the same table that I was reading on. But this is way more interesting than my book. Sam's pressing small kisses on neck and making his way down. When he gets to the collar of my shirt, he pulls on it slightly.
"Off."
"Yes, daddy."
I follow his instruction and take my shirt off, revealing my lace front bra.
"Good girl."
Well that definitely did something to me. It soaked my underwear. That's what it did. He reaches behind me and unclasps my bra. I slip it off and Sam latches his lips on to one of my nipples.
"Don't you think we should take this somewhere more private?" I ask, afraid that Dean could walk in on us.
"No. I want you right here, on this table."
And I want him to fuck me right here, on this table. He continues nipping at my nipple, then gives the other one some attention. He starts kissing my breasts and makes his way down to my pants. He looks up at me for consent and I nod. He takes my pants off and starts slipping my underwear off.
"You're sure you wanna do this?"
"Positive. I've wanted this for a while."
"Let me know if I'm going too fast and I'll stop."
I nod and he takes my underwear off. He slips two fingers into my pussy and smirks at me. That smirk does things to me. It makes me wanna cum on his fingers.
"You're already wet for me, princess."
I let out a small moan and he starts pushing his fingers in and out, curling them in all the right ways, hitting all the right places. This is nice, but I'd rather it be his dick. He's watching my facial expressions change and listening to me moan in pleasure.
"I want you to come on my fingers, princess. Can you do that for me?"
"Yes, daddy. I can do that for you."
His pace gets faster and I start to reach my high.
"You're doing good, sweetheart. Cum for daddy."
I cum on his fingers and let out a really high pitched moan, which I think pleased him.
"Good girl." He says as he puts both of his fingers in his mouth, tasting me.
Is he trying to make me explode?
"Think you can take something else? Something a little bigger?"
Oh God yes. I nod, anxiously waiting for him to slip his dick into me.
"Words, princess."
"Please."
"Please what?"
"Sam, just fuck me already!"
It came out as a really loud moan and I think it sounded desperate. But it got the point across. He nods and takes his fingers out of me. I watch as he starts unbuttoning his jeans. He slips them off, revealing his huge bulge, and then takes off his boxers, letting his dick spring free.
"Woah."
I didn't mean to say that out loud, but his size is...impressive, to say the least. I kinda saw that coming, being that he's a literal giant. But I never thought I'd actually get to see it. It's just like what I pictured in my fantasies about him.
"Think you can take me?"
I think he could split me in half with it, if he really wanted to. And I want that thing inside me.
"Yeah, I can take it."
He aligns his tip with my entrance and slowly pushes himself into me. He starts teasing me, only using his tip, causing me let out a desperate moans of impatience. Somehow, him teasing me is extremely hot. It's probably because I know what he's doing. He's letting me know that he's the one in control. I like the idea of Sam having full control over me. I want him to use me for his own sexual pleasure.
"Daddy-"
"Patience, princess."
He slowly pushes himself deeper into me, then leads my hand to what I can't take.
"You're gonna help me, ok?"
"Ok, daddy."
He starts slowly thrusting into me, trying not to hurt me. But he's not hurting me. If anything, I want him to go faster. Harder.
"Faster."
He slowly gets on top of me and starts going faster. This is exactly what I wanted. This is a feeling that I've wanted Sam to give me for a really, really long time. He's on top of me, thrusting into me and it feels so...awesome.
"I'm not hurting you, am I?"
"No, no, please don't stop. I'm ok."
He nods and leans down to kiss me. I grab on to his hair while our tongues fight for dominance. His won, being that his is definitely stronger than mine.
"You like that, don't you, princess?"
"Yes, daddy."
I'm moaning at volumes that I didn't think I could go.
"You're doing great, princess. You're doing so good."
I'm pulling on Sam's hair and he's pulling on mine. I can feel myself about to cum and I think he's about to do the same.
"Daddy." I try calling to him, but it comes out as a moan.
"Fuck, Y/n, you're so damn good."
The praises only make my urge to cum worse. I'm about to say something when Sam stops me.
"Cum for me, princess. Cum for daddy."
And with that, I'm cuming on his dick. And the floor... Sam's helping me ride out my high and praising me, telling me how good I'm doing.
"Sammy, you'll never- HOLY SHIT! SAM!"
We both jump, realizing that Dean saw...everything. Sam's still inside of me and I'm pretty sure neither of us know what to do. Shit. The last thing I ever wanted for was for my best friend to walk in on me getting fucked...by his brother.
"ON THE TABLE, DUDE?! SERIOUSLY?!"
"We'll clean it up." Sam says, trying his best to keep his cool and not freak out.
"You two should be ashamed of yourselves. If you're gonna have sex, do it in a bedroom, like normal people. NOT WHERE WE SIT AND EAT!"
"Right, Dean. Um, could you maybe, get out?" I say, only really focused on Sam's dick, motionless inside me.
"Go to a bedroom. Please."
He quickly leaves the room and Sam slips out of me, making me whine a little.
"It's alright, princess. It's only until we get to the bedroom."
We both smile and he picks me up and starts carrying me to his room, leaving our clothes in a pile on the ground, in the library. Once in Sam's bedroom, he closed the door and made sure it was locked. Then he put me down on his bed and climbed on top of me. We got right back to work and by the end of the night, we were cuddled up together, in Sam's bed. He's holding me in his huge arms and I'm just laying here, taking in the moment.
"You're so small." He says before planting a kiss to my head.
"And you're so big."
He really did fuck me senseless. I won't be able to walk tomorrow, but it was totally worth it. I'd let Sam fuck me like that any time.
"Are you alright? I didn't go too hard, did I?"
"No, you didn't. I'm ok."
"We should do that again sometime."
"You don't mean that."
"Why wouldn't I mean that?"
"Because you don't like me like that."
"Y/n, I don't fuck people that I don't like like that."
"So you don't think it's weird? Our size difference?"
"No. I think it's cute. And I'd love to show you just how cute I think it is. After you get some sleep."

It Had to be Witches

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sam and Dr. Philips examined each of the women’s bodies. Carved into their limbs were runes consistent with the ones Rowena described. She said she was sending an expert who lived in the area but the boys hadn’t made contact yet.
“The other agent who was just here asked the same questions. Don’t you guys talk to each other?” Dr. Philips covered the bodies. Some of the women he knew personally.
“Different departments. You said he was just here? How long ago?”
“She. Her name is Diana Luna. She’s down at the evidence locker. All the women had the same necklace. She went to check it out.”
Sam thanked the doctor and set off to find you. First he called Dean. “Looks like Rowena’s story checks out. Her expert was just here. The bodies were marked with runes and all of their tongues cut out. And, get this, they all had the same necklace. Maybe a coven?”
“Of course. Of course it’s witches, Sam. Look, don’t go far. I’m on my way.” Sam was sitting on a bus bench reading coroner's reports when you approached him. Due to the nature of the case, Rowena insisted the elder Winchester carry out the task at hand. “Use Sam as bait.” she instructed.
“Agent Cornell? I’m agent Luna from the Lansing office.” You extended your hand. “Director Macleod sent me.”
“Yeah, I bet she did. Bring me up to speed.”
“Sure. I’ve got what you’re looking for right here.” You blew a very potent powder in his face knocking him out. You put the lankier Winchester into your truck and sped back to your house. Getting his dead weight up the stairs was a task but you did it. “Sweet dreams, Sam.”
Dean searched the entire town square for Sam with no luck. He tried his phone again and it was going directly to voicemail. Sam could hold his own against any witch but Dean was still worried. As he unlocked the door to the Impala, he heard you call his name over his shoulder and turned his head to see who was speaking. You blew the dream dust into his face rendering him unconscious.
He was heavier than he looked. You shoved him into the back seat and pried the keys from his hand. Baby growled angrily when she started but you had her purring for you in no time. You drove him back to your house and dragged him inside where you intended to tie him up. Rowena coached you on all their tricks. You took off his jacket, rolled up his sleeves and divested him if anything sharp. With his wrists and ankles bound in a pretty decent slip knot you splashed his face with water to wake him.
“Morning, handsome.” he smirked as you wiped his face.
“Big mistake, sweetheart. I’m guessing you’re the one we’re looking for.”
“Pretty and dumb. Rowena was right and you would be guessing wrong. Her name is Teresa Wilson. She came seeking asylum with our coven a few months ago. Said her whole order was obliterated. Turns out, she wasn’t exactly who she said she was.”
His face split into a cocky grin, “They never are. What do you want with me?”
“You need to help me find her. Rowena gave me a locator spell. When I cast the spell, I’ll need your fancy bullets. Problem is…”
He laughed heartily, “Problem is you can’t touch ‘em, am I right, sweetheart?”
“You would be correct.”
“And what’s in it for me?”
You took a step back just out of his reach just in case, “If you help me I’ll let your brother live.”
He strained against the ropes veins bulging in his forearms. “If you touch one hair on his head I’ll rip you apart myself. You hear me, witch?”
Your nails dug sharp into the meat of his cheeks so he would look at you. “Relax, baby. Your brother is safe. He’s asleep upstairs dreaming of puppies and rainbows as we speak. But if you don’t help me, he’ll never wake up. And, Dean, when I kill someone, it sticks. No resurrections for Sammy this time.”
You’ve never seen a human man snarl before. It was pretty cute. Rowena warned you not to be mesmerized by his sweet face and his Disney Princess eyes but you couldn’t help it. The man looked like he would, in fact, rip you apart. And, Hecate help you, you wished he would. You traced a finger along his sharp stubble covered jaw. His eyes turned up to look into yours, throwing daggers at you. “Anyone ever tell you how cute you are when you’re angry?”
“All the time. Get to the spell so I can take my brother out of here.” he growled.
“It’s not time. If I untie you, are you gonna be a good boy or do I have to hit you with my knock out dust again?” You couldn’t take your eyes off of his perfect lips smiling at you.
“Sure, mommy, I’ll be a real good boy.”
You knelt in front of him and parted his knees slightly to undo the first knot. “Such a smart ass.” He growled low in his throat when you peered at him through your lashes. His dick grew painfully hard against his jeans as you slid your hand up his legs to maintain balance. Of course you noticed though he tried to squeeze his thighs together to hide his arousal. “Do you like me like this, Dean?”
Of course he did. You were just his type. A little bratty but you had a good heart. Rowena told them about you. The little warrior for the Grand Council. They constantly sent you to do their dirty work and you did so without question like a good soldier. No wonder Rowena paired the two of you. You were the female version of him. “Like what?” His voice was low and dripping with need.
“On my knees for you. Looks like you do.” You winked at him but he looked away embarrassed.
It had been a long time since he felt a woman wrapped hot around him. Everything in him wanted to follow your siren song and happily crash. He couldn’t do it. This story always ended bloody. “You couldn’t handle it, sweetheart.” He peered down at the bulge in his pants. So did you. Your core heated at the thought.
“Is that a dare or a double dare?.” He spread his legs and licked his lips inviting you to take what you wanted. You shook it off and focused on the task at hand. “Well in any case, I made you dinner. Pot roast, potatoes, peas and carrots. Eat if you want.”
It did smell amazing. His stomach growled remembering that all he had was coffee this morning. The living room and kitchen were well lit and warm. He felt at peace in this place. More so than the bunker where it could sometimes feel clinical and cold. “You got a pretty nice place here. You all alone?”
A sly smile played on your lips, “Just me.” You sat the plate down in front of him with a cold beer and a bottle opener. The oven timer dinged and, when you opened the door, the aroma of cinnamon and spice wafted through the air.
“That pie?” He sounded choked up.
“Apple. I have an orchard in the back. Rowena filled me in on how to keep you happy.” You sit it on the windowsill to cool while you ate. “I can’t have you bashing me over the head and running off before we kill this bitch.”
He shoveled a fork full of potatoes and gravy into his mouth humming in appreciation. “Why me? You had Sam here. He’s much better at this witch stuff than I am. Why drag me out here?”
“You’re more reliable when making difficult decisions. You’re what I need. Another beer?” He nodded breathing in the soft floral scent that wafted off of your skin as you moved.
You didn’t offer any further information and Dean thought that was probably for the best. If he got in his head about the situation he would lose his nerve and that can’t happen. That’s how people die. As of late, Sam has had a lot on his mind. Dean would have to shoulder this burden. At least Sammy was getting some rest.
The two of you shared a comfortable silence only marred by silverware hitting ceramic. “Well that was delicious. Thank you….umm…I don’t think I caught your name.”
“I didn’t give it to you. I’m Y/N. But I wouldn’t mind if you kept calling me sweetheart. Pie?”
Dean's heart beat hard in his chest at the thought of calling you sweetheart “Maybe a little. So when do we do this thing?”
“Eat your pie then meet me outside. I have to prepare.” You slipped out the back door down a dimly lit path to your cauldron. You threw in the mandrake and tobacco. Last was the chicken that you had to slaughter. You grabbed a hen from her coop and stabbed her with your athame. It made a terrible sound which sent Dean flying through the back door ready to fight.
“What the hell was that?”
“Chicken.” You allowed the rest of its blood to drain and discarded the carcass. “periisti. lates. Ego te quaero. I vestrum adprehendet vos.” You chanted over and over until a glowing beacon appeared. “We have to follow it.” The orb circled the two of you then floated towards the Impala. You retrieved his keys from your pocket and started off for the car.
“Whoa whoa whoa. What are you doing?”
“Following the orb.” He grabbed your arm as you started to slide into the driver’s seat.
“No one drives my baby but me. You sit shotgun.” He impatiently waited for you to scoot over. When you reached for the radio he slapped your hand away. “Are you serious?!”
“What? There were other decades besides the 70’s.” He bit his lip and flared his nostrils letting out an unsettling growl. “Driver picks the music.”
“You are a child. Just drive. The spell won’t last forever” you huffed.
“So, just you huh? No boyfriend? Girlfriend?” You didn’t answer keeping your eyes trained on the orb. “Yeah me neither. Maybe later we can grab a drink.”
“My god. Can you keep it in your pants until we’re done? It took a left!”
He sped up taking off after it, “I see it. So that’s not a no.” That was all the invitation he needed. The truth was you would have given it up the moment those green eyes stared into your soul.
“It’s not a no. Let’s focus.”
Baby ate up miles of dirt road before reaching the highway. A couple of miles ahead the orb sped for an exit into town. You were led to the motel where the boys were staying. The door to their room was wide open and there Teresa stood bathed in the light of the orb. You bid it a job well done and sent it on its way.
Teresa, caught off guard, quickly muttered a spell pinning Dean to the wall, sending the gun skittering away. You faced each other down while Dean struggled. “She’s a kid!” he groaned in pain.
“I’m nineteen thank you. You don’t have to do this Y/N. Come on. We’re sisters. We share the same DNA. Let’s take them on together.” Tears welled in your eyes. You may have been blood but you weren’t sisters. She grew up far out of the Grand Council’s reach while you were their trained lap dog.
“Only half little sister. You’re hopped up on enough stolen magic to power the entire city. The Grand Council sent me to take you down. Adiuro te in nomine Hecate. Adiuro te in nomine Dianae. Tuae vires cum luna decrescant.” you chanted. She fought back but the binding spell was powerful. She didn’t have enough magic to hold Dean and fight you so she let him go. When he regained composure, he dove for the gun.
Without warning, Teresa gained the upper hand. She held out her arm and used all of her might to pull you towards her. Blood stained tears fell from your eyes as you struggled to breath. With every last ounce of strength you had you doubled down on the binding spell long enough to hold her so that Dean could put her down. The blast of the shot filled the small motel room filling your ears with a high pitched whining. You collapsed onto the floor where Dean scooped you into his arms.
“Hey, Y/N. Wake up. Stay with me. Shit.” He carried you to the car and gingerly set you down next to him. The drive back to your house felt long. When he got you inside he placed you on the couch and called Rowena.
“Is it done then?” she asked in her thick Scottish brogue.
“Yeah but your girl’s unconscious. She’s breathing but she used a lot of magic. A lot. I don’t think you’ll be calling on her anytime soon.”
“Keep her warm, Dean. I’ll be there soon.” The line went dead. He sat on the floor in front of you and brushed your hair from your eyes.
“Sweetheart, you need to wake up. We were supposed to grab that drink, remember?” He pressed his lips to your temple lingering there for a moment when he heard Rowena’s laugh trill behind him.
“I should add matchmaker to my long list of talents. Out of the way, Dean. I’ll get your girl fixed right up.” She patted his hand and pushed him aside.
His face flushes hot burning all the way to his ears. ”She’s not my girl.”
“Of course. Now, what seems to be the trouble, dear?” She placed her hands on your head. Her eyes glowed as she spoke over you. Your lashes began to flutter and you woke up. “There she is. Good as new.” You and Dean exchanged a look. “That appears to be my cue to go check on Samuel.”
“Thank you, Rowena.” your voice was hoarse barely above a whisper.
“Not at all, dear.”
Dean pulled you into his lap rocking you gently, “You scared the hell out of me, sweetheart.”
“I had to stop her. She hurt too many people.” You felt guilty for ending her but even guiltier for letting her go as far as she did. Guiltier still for not pushing harder to be in her life. “It was my fault.”
“Hey, no it wasn’t. What? You think you should have been a better big sister? You didn’t lead her down this path, Y/N.” You rested your head on his shoulder “All these years and all the stupid fucked up shit Sam and I did, I blamed myself. I took on that burden. Alone. It’s a lonely awful place to be. I’m begging don’t do that to yourself.” He held your face in his hands forcing you to look at him. He wanted to kiss you. You would have let him if he leaned in. Instead he brought you back down to his chest just to hold you. He saw so much of himself in you. You were headstrong and self righteous but your intentions were altruistic.
You melted into his arms so lost in him that you didn’t hear Sam and Rowena slip out. Dean offered his brother only a small nod to let him know you were ok. He had several texts from Eileen anyway. Happy to see his brother didn’t have to spend another night alone, he went back to the bunker.
You sat in silence for a while when you started yawning. “Shit. What time is it?”
“After midnight. I should get outta here.” You untangled yourself from his grasp but didn’t stand. His hands stayed respectfully at the small of your back. You locked eyes with him. Your core tingled as he brushed errant hair from your forehead.
“Or you could stay. We haven’t had our drink yet. Though, you don’t need to get me drunk, handsome.” You kissed his jaw and down his neck working your way to his collarbone. A soft moan escaped his lips when you nipped at his neck. “I mean you enjoyed me on my knees and all.”
“As pretty as you looked,” his voice was low and gravelly, “And, I mean you looked gorgeous. We really shouldn’t.”
You genuinely pouted your lips backing off of your ministrations, “Why not? I want to. And you clearly want to. You’re a fucking legend, Dean. Show me just how legendary you are.”
He arched a brow at you and smirked in the way that only Dean Winchester does. “Flattery will get you everywhere, sweetheart.” Finally his lips were on yours. The force of his kiss took your breath away. It wasn’t predatory or greedy. It was slow and sensuous bordering on hunger. His whole body was hungry for you. Dean Winchester was hungry constantly looking for something to fill the hole inside him. For the moment, that was you. He felt like he was floating and was suddenly very warm. If he stopped kissing you he knew he would just stop breathing. He couldn’t bare the thought.
“What are you doing to me?” His chest heaved. “I feel like I’m on fire.” Surely this must be a spell or enchantment. He pulled you back in for more but this time his hands strayed from your back. They traveled to your hips then under the hem of your shirt to feel your flesh warm against him. He had to feel you. To be inside of you. Deft fingers unbuttoned your jeans. Without breaking the kiss he stroked your clothed core working up a rhythm that flooded you with arousal.
“Touch me, Dean. Please” you cried. Pushing your panties aside his fingers explored your dripping pussy. His pace is maddening. Your hips snapped fucking back hard. “Fuck, Dean. So good. I need your cock. Want you to split ne open.”
“You’ve got a filthy mouth, Princess. Come for me and I’ll give you what you want.” And so you gushed around him moaning like a witch on fire. When your heart slowed to a normal rhythm you stripped naked. Before he could get undressed he took a moment to kiss and touch every inch of you. If this was only for tonight he wanted to savor you. “God you’re beautiful.”
“So are you.” You pulled him up and undressed him, never once breaking eye contact. His cock was red and weeping just aching to be touched.
On your knees in front of him you took the whole burning thing in your mouth. To Dean, you were the most stunning creature to exist. You swirled your tongue around the head while you hollowed your cheeks sucking him in deeper still.
“You’re doing so well, sweetheart. Fuck that feels good.” His hands grasped the back of your head keeping you steady while he fucked your face. It started feeling too good like he would blow his load in your mouth. He had to feel your sweet cunt. “Let me feel you, baby. Fuck I need you.” You pulled off with a pop and climed into his lap. Both of you whimpered when you sank onto his length. The stretch was exquisite. Your pussy held him so tight. You ground your clit over his pubic bone while he fucked into you with a brutal pace. “You feel so good. M’not gonna last. Come for me, baby. I need it.” Your twat fluttered around him, milking him for all he was worth. You kissed once more fighting to hang on to the last tendrils of tenderness and warmth that you could.
“Stay. Please. Just for tonight” you whispered.
He tightened his grip on you. “Of course, sweetheart. All night.”
He hated to leave you but the sun rose like a beacon calling him away. If he didn’t leave then, he wouldn’t have ever left. Last time he stuck around and fell in love, he had to learn the hard way that he could never have this. Maybe he would call you the next time he swung through town. Maybe you’d spit in his face for bailing. He brushed the hair off your forehead and kissed your temple. “Bye, sweetheart.”
You woke when you heard the Impala roaring to life in your driveway. He left a square of paper with a phone number scrawled in pencil “I’ll always answer. -DW” You put on your robe, went down to your cauldron and threw it in with a few bundles of sage and some witch hazel to sever any feelings. On the next full moon, you’d do a cord cutting to make sure it sticks.
“See you around, handsome.” In his eleven hour drive back to the bunker, any feelings that you have would slowly fade. The two of you would go back to being too afraid to feel and far too afraid to fall in love. Dean wouldn’t hear from you again. He wouldn’t really remember where you lived. But, every time he drove through Michigan, he’d feel a twinge in his chest. And, no matter how many rituals you did, you’d feel him too.

or, the one-shot that wouldn’t get out of my head where jack is a baby, cas is back, and he and dean have a talk. s13 :) this is a long one, so part of it is going under the cut!
--------------
Things are strange.
Of course, things are often strange in Castiel’s life, especially these days. For one, he just got brought back from the dead. For another, he rode in the passenger’s seat of the Impala on the way back to the bunker. Sam drove, because when Dean tried to drive, the baby in the backseat--Jack, that’s Jack--started crying, and Dean had to switch spots and let Jack’s tiny hand wrap around one of his fingers. Only then did Jack stop crying.
As soon as they got back to the bunker, Dean went to put Jack to bed, leaving Castiel in the kitchen with Sam. That’s where Castiel is now, watching Sam putter around, cleaning up things that don’t need to be cleaned. There’s clearly something on his mind.
“You and Dean should talk,” Sam finally says.
“We usually do talk,” Castiel replies, unsure of what, exactly, Sam means.
“I mean, really talk. Look--” Sam stops, grabs two beers out of the fridge and slides one across the island to Castiel, before continuing. “Dean gets...things get bad for him when you’re gone. Without Jack to take care of, I think he would have...” Sam doesn’t finish the sentence, but Castiel has a feeling he knows where it was headed.
“Is Jack always like that?” Castiel asks.
“Obsessed with Dean? Yeah. I mean, things are still kinda complicated with Mom, and I’m not great with kids, but Dean...” Sam sighs. “I mean, he had to take care of me constantly when I was a baby. He’s always been really good with kids, better at expressing himself. And he and Jack...I mean, if Dean’s not with him, Jack gets really upset.”
“Wow,” Castiel says. He remembers a few years ago, helping Claire out, and how quickly Claire and Dean cottoned onto each other. And stories he’s heard from before he knew the Winchesters (sometimes it’s hard to believe there was a time in his life before them) where kids had been involved on a hunt and Dean saved the day.
Perhaps it’s only natural.
“But yeah,” Sam takes a deep swig of his beer. “Go find him and talk. I bet Jack is asleep by now.”
“Right.”
Castiel still feels odd, wrong-footed, though. It should be easy to talk to Dean--Dean’s one of his best friends, someone he would do anything for, has done anything for.
But he’s also Dean, someone who can be complicated and feels things deeply, and if he’s been feeling bad enough to contemplate--
Castiel doesn’t know what to say to that.
He finds Dean in his room, sprawled out on the bed with a sleeping Jack next to him. There are beer bottles and a couple of whiskey bottles littering Dean’s nightstand, an overflowing wastebasket in the corner.
Sam was right. Things haven’t been great.
Dean’s eyes flutter open when he hears Cas enter and he sits up, saying softly, “I know sleeping with babies can be bad, cuz I read one of those books you got, but he just...” Dean turns his gaze to Jack. “He doesn’t go to sleep unless I do this.”
Castiel nods.
Dean carefully scoops Jack up and carries him over to the crib in the corner of the room. The whole scene is both painfully domestic and painfully Dean, and it causes something in Castiel’s chest to twinge.
“But he’s out like a light now,” Dean says. “He’s already better at sleeping, it’s like he knows I don’t get much even without a crying baby.”
“Hm,” Castiel agrees. “Dean, can we talk?”
“Uh, sure? Let’s go somewhere else.” Dean takes one last look at Jack’s swaddled form and then leads Castiel out of his bedroom and to another room, which Cas has never been in before and is barren except for some armchairs and a foosball table.
“What’s this?” Cas asks as they settle into the armchairs.
“It’s...I dunno, a rec room or something. Thinking of putting a TV in here so we could watch movies. I’ve been calling it the Deancave and Sam has been getting annoyed with me.” Dean cracks a smile at a that. “Whaddya want to to talk about?”
“I, uh...” Castiel shrugs. “Sam just said I should talk to you.”
“Dirty traitor. Of course he did.” Dean frowns.
“We don’t have to if you don't want to, I just thought--”
“No, no, this’ll--I need to say this shit.” Dean swallows, before saying, “So, do you remember, about a year or so after we met, when we were trying to get the Colt back and gank Lucifer?”
“I do,” Castiel says, now completely unsure of where Dean is going with this.
“Well, I...I got zapped to the future. Or a future, I guess, by Zachariah. It was...2014 there, the world was overrun by this plague and zombies, Sam was...gone, he had said yes to Lucifer for good, and I met another version of myself who was...he wasn’t a great guy. Pretty cold and ruthless, willing to use people he cared about as bait or put them in harm’s way. He didn’t care about much anymore.” “I assume I wasn’t in this world?” Castiel asks.
“No, you were.” Now Dean looks genuinely pained. “You had lost almost all of your grace, and you spent your days...drinking and doing drugs and having sex. You had lost the trench coat and you were...different. You still thought I was pretty cool, though, and the other Dean, the Dean from that you’s time, he hated that.”
“I see.” Something is coming into focus.
“You were Cas, but you weren’t my Cas,” Dean says, the emphasis on the my weighty.
“Was this the same night that you told me to never change?”
“Yeah,” Dean sighs. “It was. Something that the other you said, it just...it hit me. And I couldn’t let that happen to you, and I couldn’t let myself be the guy that made it worse. He said that the only thing you and that Dean had left was each other, that if the other me said it was time to go, then you would follow him. And I tried to talk to the future me about it, ask him why he was willing to put you in harm’s way just because you would follow him. He...he didn’t have an answer.”
“I have changed, though, Dean,” Castiel says after a moment. “And not in a bad way.”
“Yeah, but you coulda become that guy.” Dean’s fidgeting now, uncomfortable. “Anyways, after that it was...yeah. You know how things went, you were there. A lot of shit went down, and I tried not to think about that future I saw.”
“I see.”
There’s a vast, empty silence in the room as Castiel contemplates what Dean has told him. He wants to ask follow-up questions, figure out what, exactly, Dean means by what he’s said, but it’s rare that Dean is so open and calm about it, and Castiel doesn’t want to break the spell. He wants Dean to, what’s the phrase? Level with him.
“And then we went to purgatory,” Dean continues suddenly. “And I spent a year looking for you and found you all dirty and scruffy--you still had that trench coat but you looked like him. I was...starting to realize something, I guess? I mean, Benny helped me find you, and one night we were just hanging out, doing stuff, and he asked me what my deal was about you. I told him, I said you were one of my best friends, hell, just straight-up my best friend.”
“And what did he say?”
“He said I was full of shit, that no one spends a year in purgatory for a friend. I told him to shut the hell up, but he was right.”
This isn’t happening. This would never happen, because Castiel has heard that it won’t. The Empty’s words from when he was dead echo in his head.
I know who you hate. I know who you love. There is nothing for you back there.
But maybe there is.
“There isn’t any use in trying to hide it from you,” Dean says. “You saw all the bottles. Every time you leave...I tell myself it’s because you’re like family, and you are, but not quite--”
Castiel is tired of waiting, tired of having a weight lodged in his chest, and he hates how agitated and small Dean looks, so before he can fully think out what he’s doing, he’s standing up and then leaning over Dean’s chair, his face inches from Dean’s.
He waits.
“There’s--there’s no way,” Dean says, breathless.
“There is.” Castiel swallows, hopes he hasn’t miscalculated.
He determines a moment later when Dean seizes him by his collar and pulls him all the way down into a kiss that he did not, in fact, miscalculate.
It’s clumsy and messy, because of the angle and the nerves and all of the waiting, but Castiel doesn’t particularly care, and he’s getting the impression that Dean doesn’t, either.
“Please don’t leave again,” Dean whispers into Castiel’s neck when they finally separate.
“I won’t,” Castiel promises. “Although I still can’t promise to never change.”
“That’s a good thing,” Dean replies. “I know that. Now.”
Castiel doesn’t sleep, but when Dean finally heads back to his room to check on Jack and then try and get his four hours, Dean grabs Castiel by the trench coat sleeve. He stays, takes the pair of pajamas Dean sheepishly offers, finds himself curled around Dean in the big bed that doesn’t seem so big anymore. Neither Dean or Jack wake up all night.
Castiel may not sleep, but he does sink into a fairly deep meditative state in the quiet darkness of Dean’s room. He “comes to” an indeterminate amount of time later to see that the room is empty, save him, and that all the bottles and trash are gone.
He pads into the hallway, still in that pair of Dean’s pajamas, and hears voices coming from the kitchen. He follows them to find Sam sitting at the table, talking to Dean, who’s standing at the stove with Jack swaddled and wrapped to his chest. Castiel feels his face reddening as his chest expands, and he makes a beeline for the table and sits across from Sam.
“I see you had that talk,” Sam whispers, grinning.
“We did.” Castiel can’t help but smile back.
“Anyone not want bacon?” Dean asks from the stove, and Castiel and Sam both shake their heads.
Castiel could get used to this, and he hopes he gets the chance to.

Chapter 1
Dean invited Y/N over to join him at his BBQ but knew her boyfriend, Chad, wasn’t going to let her come over. More and more, the guy was starting to control her life, and Dean was getting sick of it. He and Y/N had been friends for years, long before this guy even came into her life. Now, Chad was taking control over every part of it, and Y/N seemed blind to it.
Sure, Dean would love to have had the chance to ask her out. His crush on his neighbor was something that Sam and Cas wouldn’t quit giving him hell for. Their schedules just never seemed to work out that way. With him helping run Singer Salvage by adding the mechanic side, and Y/N being an emergency room doctor and constantly being on call, they had little time to see each other anyway.
“Chad came into the picture about two months ago,” Y/N told him one evening when they had a chance meeting. She invited him over for leftovers and beers. “He was a resident for a while before realizing that he couldn’t handle being in the emergency room. He asked, so we went out to dinner, and here we are.”
Dean didn’t like him, his blonde, shiny slicked-back hair, or his fancy foreign car that was always too loud coming into the driveway. There was just something about him that rubbed him the wrong way. And when Y/N introduced him to Dean, he didn’t like the way his arm tightened around her shoulders in a possessive way. Or the glare in his eyes as he eyed Dean up and down. It made Dean narrow his eyes and size him up himself. He knew then this Chad was going to be a problem.
Like that very day. While he was hanging out in his backyard with his friends, enjoying some grilled meat and homemade potato salad that late summer day, Y/N was locked inside her home with Chad, and he swore he could hear them yelling.
“So, have you spilled your true feelings to her yet?” Sam asked as he brought his brother another beer. Dean glared at Sam.
“Have you asked your assistant Eileen out yet?” Dean asked back. Sam bitch-faced Dean and let out a huff as he dropped into a chair next to him.
“Touche,” Sam said. “However, in my defense, I may have a no fraternization rule at the office.” Dean turned and gave Sam a look that showed how much he didn’t believe that.
“Dude, it’s your law firm,” he said. Sam frowned.
“Okay, fine. I haven’t asked yet because I’m a chicken shit. What’s your excuse?” Sam asked before taking a pull off his beer. Dean scowled and looked back over at his neighbor’s house.
“Chad,” he growled. Sam nodded, looking over at the house as well.
“What does she see in him?” he asked. Dean shrugs the question off.
“Hell, if I know, but I have my eye on him. With how many times we have women coming into the yard with requests to see if there are trackers and shit on their cars, put there by their crazy ex-boyfriends, I’m not ignoring this. It matches the training we ended up taking entirely too closely,” Dean explained, glancing at his brother with a dark look. Sam understood the unspoken discussion all too easily and nodded.
“Great,” Sam responded despondently.
Hours later, while Dean was cleaning up his yard, a loud door slam caught his attention. He walked around to his side yard only to see Chad storming out of Y/N’s house like a bull that had seen red. Before he was even at his car, the porch light had turned off. Chad whirled around and shouted at the house about being disrespected, stormed back to the front door, and started banging on it. Dean straightened and was about to move forward and give Chad a piece of his mind only to get distracted by movement in the back of Y/N’s yard. Turning his head to look, he saw Y/N sneaking out the back of her house. She closed her back door quietly and turned to leave, catching Dean’s eye.
Dean waved her over, and Y/N darted across the backyard. Dean looked over his shoulder to make sure Chad didn’t see before rushing Y/N into his house. Once she was inside, he moved her to a room across the house, away from where the threat was. Once safe, Dean turned to her.
“What the hell is going on?” Dean asked her. Y/N shook her head.
“I don’t know what his problem is, but he has gotten way out of hand and super controlling. I mean, way out of hand. He started forcing these rules on me and tried to tell me what I can and cannot do and… Just way out of line. I told him it’s over. I’m not dealing with this crap and he flew off the handle,” Y/N said while pacing the small bedroom. Dean’s eyes narrowed into slits
“Did he hurt you?” Dean questioned; his voice hard. Y/N looked at him with an eye roll.
“No. Chad wouldn’t hurt me, Dean,” Y/N scoffed. Dean shook his head.
“Don’t discount me, Y/N. Guys like that could very easily get violent when they realize they can’t control you anymore,” Dean explained. Y/N softened at that, realizing that he was worried. She shook her head.
“No, he hasn’t ever raised a hand to me. I promise,” Y/N said. “But I did tell him I didn’t want to see him anymore. We’ve been fighting for hours. I finally got him to leave, and he just flipped out again. I was afraid he was going to break into the house, and I was going to go hide when I saw you.”
“I don’t like this. He’s got a temper, and who knows what he’s capable of,” Dean muttered, shaking his head. Y/N sighed, wrapping her arms around herself.
“As soon as he’s gone, I’ll be out of your hair. I need to get to the hospital in a few hours anyway. If he stays there for long, I’ll have to sneak out to the ER and use a set of scrubs I have at the hospital,” Y/N said grumpily. Dean shook his head with a smirk and opened the top drawer to the dresser in the guest room they were standing in. Inside were a few different pairs of her scrubs, her small toiletry bag, and two pairs of her crocs. Y/N saw it and blushed.
“I thought I took all of my stuff back to my place after that New Year’s Eve party a few years ago?” she asked. Dean shook his head.
“Always have to be prepared for my favorite lightweight who can’t even make it to her house next door,” Dean joked. Y/N walked over to him and kissed him on the cheek. Dean’s eyes widened in surprise; a gasp caught in his throat. He held his breath as she stayed close looking up at him, holding on to the scent of her perfume. They stared at each other for a long moment.
“You’re my hero, you know that?” Y/N whispered, resting a hand against Dean’s cheek. Dean was frozen, unable to say anything. It took all of his self-control to resist the urge to pull her against him and kiss the life out of her. He couldn’t, wouldn’t until she was free from the man trying to ruin her life. After another long moment, Y/N turned and went to the dresser, letting her hand run down his arm, grab him, and squeeze. Once Y/N had a set of scrubs to change into and went into the bathroom, Dean felt himself relax a little, exhaling slowly as he tried to get his heart to slow down a little.
The woman would be the death of him yet.

Dean sat on the porch swing of his house, letting his mind wander. He began filtering through his memories, wondering how he got to this point in his life—all culminating in thoughts of his very first love. Before Cassie, before Lisa, there was Y/N. Y/N had been one of his best friends, and the best thing about her was that she knew about the life. He had met her when they were both 18; she had come to Bobby’s with her dad, who was looking for a text on some nasty monsters they needed to hunt. Y/N’s dad had wanted her to stay behind, which made her mad as hell. Dean remembered it clearly and smiled to himself.
Dean remembered he was working on one of the many old cars Bobby had in his salvage yard when he heard the door to Bobby's house slam and loud voices.
“Damn it, Dad! I’m 18, and you can’t treat me like some weak little girl. In my lifetime, I have hunted and killed things that other girls my age think are nightmares.” Her voice was firm and accusatory.
Dean watched as she placed her hands on her hip and a man about Dean’s dad’s age came out, running a hand through his hair.
“Y/N, Sweetheart … This is something I need to do. I’m going with John; you can stay here with his sons, get to know them, maybe make some friends.” Her dad walked past her and climbed into the car with John.
Dean watched as she glared at the car as it drove off. She growled in anger and stomped off into the junkyard. He could see her Y/H/C hair in the distance, and he makes a rash decision. He sees her sitting on the ground right by an old rusty Pontiac Firebird. She was hugging her chest to her knees, her head leaning back looking up at the cloudy sky. Dean knocked on the hood of the car, making her jump.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.” He smirked at her, leaning up against the car and turning on his charm, “I’m Dean.” He stuck out his hand.
Y/N huffed and rolled her eyes, “Don’t care. I’m out of here.”
“You stay right there,” Bobby called as he made his way towards the two teenagers.
“I’m 18, he can’t tell me what to do, I’ve saved his life and --”
“And he is trying to keep you alive, girl,” Bobby pointed out, “Or did you forget the last time? How is that leg of yours, by the way?”
Y/N huffed and stomped off deeper into the salvage yard. Dean was about to chase after her when Bobby stopped him.
“Let her blow off some steam,” Bobby said. “She’s been through a lot.”
But Dean couldn’t leave her alone. Once Bobby was in the house, he had observed her, quietly and from the shadows. He watched as she took in target practice with her pistol, making clear shots one after the other, never missing her mark.
When Dean made his presence known, he put his hands up, making sure she wouldn’t shoot him. After that, he worked his charm on her. The two became inseparable, constantly sending messages and making plans whenever their fathers met up for a hunt.
When Y/N and Dean were allowed to hunt independently, they would find ways to turn them into romantic dates. Nothing says romance more when you are fighting to save the world together.
Dean was there with her when her father was killed by a wolf. She was there for him when Sam went off to college. Even when John had tried to part them, Y/N stayed by his side, telling John Winchester he could either accept the fact that she wasn’t going anywhere or continue on his revenge hunt on his own.
Needless to say, his journey with Y/N was filled with bringing Sam back to hunt when John went missing, Finding out that his mother was killed by a Demon, and his father sacrificing himself to save his life. That was the hardest thing for Dean to live with and one that Y/N was both grateful and guilty for. She was grateful to John because he saved the man she loved, guilty because Dean and Sam lost their father, who was full of pain.
But it didn’t end there. It continued with Sam being taken by Azazel and fighting for his life. Y/N saving him from Jake and Jake being given a chance to try and open the gates of hell. Y/N managed to stop Jake from opening the gates with Bobby and Ellen’s help while Jo helped Sam get the gun to Dean to land the killing blow.
That night, Dean took Y/N in his arms and asked her to marry him. It was how he and Y/N now ended up in a beautiful two-story home with their kids running around. Sam had gone back to college, their names being cleared with the help of Bobby’s friend, who was able to make his way into the systems to make their records disappear.
“What are you thinking of, handsome,” her voice called from beside him.
Dean turned and smiled at her. The light made her shine like an angel as she joined him on the porch swing.
“How we got here,” Dean sighed, pulling her onto his lap. He wrapped his arms around her, “how we have great kids, and I wouldn’t trade you guys for anything in the world.”
“We love you too,” Y/N giggled, kissing his lips. “But, you, Mr., need to mow the lawn. It’s getting long, and we don’t need another annoying letter from the homeowners association.”
Dean let out a groan, “Johnathan,” he bellowed.
The sound of feet rushing towards the porch alerted them of their son's arrival.
“Yeah?” their son huffed. “What happened? I was in the middle of seeing if my robot would work. I just finished connecting all the motherboards and programming its---”
Dean pointed to the lawn and scowled, “didn’t I tell you you had to mow the lawn before you started any big side projects?”
Jonathan groaned, “awww, come on, Dad.” His shoulders slumped, “why can’t you make Derek do it?! He should learn how to do this stuff too.”
“I didn’t ask Derek. I asked you,” Dean said as he looked at his eldest son. “ You have a responsibility, so you need to get it done.” Dean continued.
“But--”
“You don’t do it. You can kiss driving the Impala on your date with Ally on Friday and settle for a two-parent chaperoned date,” Dean threatened.
Jonathan sighed and stomped his way to the garage.
“You ever thought our lives would end up all domestic like this?” Y/N asked once her son was out of earshot.
“Not really,” Dean admitted. “But I’m glad I get to share it with you.”
“Me too,” Y/N whispered, bringing into a searing kiss.

Part Two: Dying From a Broken Heart
Tumblr media
You sat in your room in the bunker, casually reading on of your many books that lined your walls. You were a bookworm, much like you older brother, Sam. You liked being by yourself with your books and a cup of coffee, as cliche as it sounds.
Right now, you needed an escape from your world and into another one where you know how everything ends. Your half brothers, Sam and Dean we're currently trying to figure out a way to get their mother back from apocalypse world.
You were John's daughter, being the youngest Winchester there was. Along with being the baby of the family, your brothers were over protective of you.
Most of the time you weren't allowed out on a hunt, so you stayed in the bunker and helped with lore and things like that while Sam and Dean would do the hunting.
Lately, however, you were getting more involved, much to your brother's dismay. You loved Sam and Dean with all your heart, but they could be overbearing at times.
You closed your book when you heard a knock on your door. "It's open." You called.
Jack popped his head into the room. "Hey, Y/n. Can I come in?" He asked.
"Sure." You nodded.
Jack took a seat on the chair that sat in front of your small desk. "What's up?"
"Sam and Dean are going on a hunt and I was wondering if you were going?" This was news to you. You're had no idea that your brothers were going on a hunting trip.
You frowned as you go up off your position on the bed. "Now I am." You said, getting your bag ready. "You coming too?"
"Yes." Jack nodded. You told him to finish packing while you did the same.
"Going somewhere, gentlemen?" You asked just as Sam and Dean were about to walk out of the bunker.
Dean let his head fall as he sighed. "You're not coming."
"The hell I'm not." You snapped.
"Dean's right." Sam agreed. "You should sit this one out."
You let out a frustrated grunt. "C'mon. Why are you still treating me like I'm twelve? I'm almost 22."
"You're not ready, Y/n."
"I'm not ready?" You scoffed. "But you let Jack go, and technically, he's barely three months old."
"That's different." Dean said.
"How?! How is that different?! I grew up hunting with you guys and Dad, I know what to do!" You argued.
"It's different because you'll die if something happens! Jack has powers and can defend himself! You don't!" Dean hissed.
"This is ridiculous!" You huffed.
"Maybe next time, Y/n." Sam gave you a smile, which you didn't return. "Alright, Jack!" Sam called out. "Let's go!"
Jack appeared beside them in a second, making you jump slightly. "See you later, Y/n." Dean said. He looked like he wanted to give you a hug but decided against it, because you might knee him in the groin if you had the chance.
"You're not coming, Y/n?" Jack asked, seeming disappointed.
"Apparently not."
Jack seemed to hesitate by the door. "On second thought, I think I'll stay here. You guys don't really need my help, do you?"
Sam and Dean seemed surprised by his change of plans. Jack had been wanting to go on a hunting trip with them for a while. "I guess not." Sam said. And with that, they were gone.
"Why didn't you go with them?" You asked Jack. "You've been wanting to go on a hunting trip with them for a while, so why did you back out?"
"I thought you could use the company." He shrugged.
.
. .
. . .
Sam and Dean returned about two days later, clearly pleased that you and Jack had stayed at the bunker. You had thought of finding you own case, maybe even hunting with Claire, but decided against it.
But that doesn't mean you still weren't pissed at your brothers. They kept treating you like you were five, when you were 21. It was infuriating. That's why you were determined to find a case.
"Hey, so look what I found." You said, holding your computer up to your brothers. "Five people dead. All found without their hearts. However, there was six victims. One survived. If we can find out who's killing these people, we can put down the son of a bitch."
"Where's this happening at?" Dean asked gruffly.
"Little Rock, Arkansas."
Dean nodded his head. "Okay. Sammy, pack your things, Y/n, send us the address. We'll call you when you get there."
"Wait a minute." You protested. "You said that I would get to come with you on the next hunt! This is the next hunt."
"No."
"No?"
"No. You're not coming."
"Oh come on!" You yelled angrily. "You have got to be kidding me! You promised that you would take me out on the hunt!"
"I never promised." Dean reminded her. "I never make promises I can't keep. You know that."
"You're being ridiculous! C'mon Sam, back me up here." You looked over to the man, giving him pleading eyes.
"I think Y/n's right Dean." He agreed. "We've seen what she can do, handling a werewolf or two isn't anything she can't handle."
Dean frowned, looking back and forth between you and Sam. "I'm not gonna win this argument, am I?"
"Nope."
"Fine. Go pack your things. Tell Jack to do the same." You nodded, calmly walking away. But as soon as you were out of sight from Sam and Dean, you gave a tiny squeal and did a little dance.
"Are we celebrating something?" Jack asked from behind you, making you jump slightly.
You gave him a big smile. "That we are, Jack. Sam and Dean are letting us go on a hunt! So pack your bags, we leave in an hour!"
You quickly packed your bag full of clothes and other essentials and put them in the trunk of the Impala.
Jack sat in the back seat with you; it was only logical, since Sam was the Jolly Green Giant and could barely fit back there.
While you loved the Impala, you did not love the kind of music that played constantly. As Sam once put it, "It's the greatest hits of Mullet Rock." So you had brought your phone and a pair of earbuds.
"What are you doing?" Jack asked curiously.
"Listening to music."
"But Dean has music playing?" He furrowed his eyebrows, making your heart soar at his cute little scrunched up face.
"Yeah, well, Dean and I have very different tastes in music. Here, listen to this." You gave him the other earbud you had.
Jack seemed to like your selection of music, as he grinned as the song played on. After a while of driving, your legs began to cramp. Whether you were tall or short, being in the back of the Impala for a long time did nothing to help your legs.
You tried to find a position where you weren't invading Jack's bubble, as not to touch him because you didn't know how he would react.
"You can stretch out your legs." Jack said, as if reading your thoughts. "I don't mind." You gave him a grateful smile as you rested your legs in his lap.
About four hours in, you began to doze off. Car rides were always relaxing to you, seeing your surroundings blur as you sped past, feeling the Impala rock beneath you, and being able to spread out in the back seat.
Although, you couldn't count how many times you had to disinfect the back seat because of your brothers. Mostly Dean.
You were woken up rather unpleasantly by Dean. You had been leaning against the door of the Impala when he yanked the door open, causing you to tumble out of the car. "Thanks for the awesome wake-up call, dick." You growled.
"No problem, fuck-face." He grinned as he helped you up. You grabbed your stuff and checked into your motel room.
It was like every other motel you've ever stayed at, rock hard beds, ugly wall patterns, and a small box T.V.
You went ahead and changed into your FBI clothes, a light blue button down shirt tucked into a pair of black jeans, matching boots and a blazer. "You boys ready?" You asked, exiting the bathroom to see all of them had changed into their uniforms.
You all piled into the Impala once more and headed to the local police station, and then to the hospital.
.
. .
. . .
You had found out nothing. There was no victimology, no connection, nothing. You figured there wouldn't be a pattern, it was a werewolf, after all.
You did know, however, that the werewolf was a Purebred, as the moon cycle didn't line up with the victims deaths.
And the surviving victim was a fifteen year old girl. Thankfully, she hadn't been bitten. But she was in so much shock that she couldn't remember her attackers face.
"Poor girl." You commented, shrugging off your blazer. "She's never going to be the same."
"She'll learn to cope." Dean assured you. "Okay, so Jack and I are gonna go to where the bodies were found and dig around a little, you and Sam stay here and see what you can find out about this town. See if there's any kind of pattern with the killings."
"Actually, could I stay here with Y/n and help her?" Jack asked.
Dean looked taken aback slightly. "Uh, yeah, sure kid. Sammy, let's go." Once the two brothers were in the car, Dean looked over at Sam. "Jack has a crush on Y/n." He frowned.
Sam snorted. "Okay? And you couldn't tell that before? I kinda thought it was obvious."
Dean cuffed Sam. "Alright, Captain Jack-ass. I was just saying maybe we shouldn't leave Y/n and Jack alone."
"Oh, please." Sam scoffed. "Nothing's gonna happen."
You got out your laptop and sat on one of the beds. You noticed that Jack was watching you from the couch. It was obvious be wanted to say something.
"Hey, Jack?"
"Yes, Y/n?" He looked excited to see that you engaged in a conversation with him first.
"How come you wanted to stay behind with me?"
"Oh, did you want me to go with Dean?" Jack seemed disappointed.
"No, no. That's not it!" You assured him quickly. He looked extremely relieved to hear that. "I was just curious. On the last hunt that Sam and Dean went on, you decided to stay behind with me too. And whenever I go out to grab food or something, you always come with me. I love your company, so please don't take that the wrong way. I was just wondering."
Jack thought over your words for a few moments before answering. "I don't really feel confident around anyone. Sometimes I feel like another burden onto Sam, Dean and Cas. But with you, I feel like I'm not judged."
"You're not judged by any of us, Jack. You know that." You frowned.
"I know that, I just can't help but feel that way sometimes. But things are different with you. I feel confident and safe, like I can be myself whenever you're around. I enjoy being around you, Y/n."
You felt your heart melt at Jack's words. You felt exactly the same way about him. While growing up, you never really had boyfriends, just a one night stand here and there (which your brothers definitely didn't know about.)
"Jack." You started. "Do you see me the same way you see Sam and Dean?"
"No. It feels different. I can't really explain it. It's like. . . When I'm with you, I can feel my heart start to beat faster, and my palms get kind of sweaty. I don't do that when I'm around Sam and Dean." He explained.
You smiled as you realized what he was saying. "Jack, I think that means you have a crush on me."
"Crush you?!" Jack looked startled. "I would never hurt you!"
"No, no, no! That's not what I meant." You sighed as you tried to break it down to him. "It means you really like someone, but not as a friend. Kind of like a boyfriend or girlfriend."
Realization dawned on Jack as he soaked in your words. "Then can I be your boyfriend?" He asked eagerly.
You gave a small laugh. "Yeah, you can." You kissed him on the cheek. Jack's face became pink under your gaze.
"Could I kiss your lips?" You didn't answer as your lips brushed over his.
"Does that answer your question?" He nodded happily as a smile formed on his face. He felt happy and safe with you standing in front of him.

That Kind of Love Never Dies_Chapter 1
Hey guys, Now that more voted to split my fictions in 2 parts, I'm back with the first part. I hope you like it. Don't forget to leave me feedbacks. I'll always appreciate them. Love you all.
This is for writing event @tvdspngirl314
My quote is "That kind of love never dies"
Dean x Reader series (just 2 parts)
This chapter words: ~5k
Series warning:
Angst, fluf, smut, angry Dean, hurt Reader, hurt Dean, there's some more but I hate spoilers so I insist on "Angst & Hurt"
Tumblr media
It all started with a stupid argument at home. What was it? Three months ago? Sam couldn't remember the exact date but after years, it was the first time this awkward coldness between Dean and Y/n had started to build. He could remember the first time he and his brother came across Y/n like it was yesterday, they were hunting a very nasty creature who used to kidnap young and lonely women at night, then got them wrapped in ropes and ties on a bed in a warehouse to rape, torture and feed on their blood until the victim either died or accepted to turn into one of his kind.
Sam could remember the helplessness in people's eyes too. The pain of the victims' families, the frustration and anger on cops' faces when no one could find the criminal yet, even after the sixth missing girl.
"Sammy, he just kidnapped another girl. And I think I know where he's gonna take her. Let's hunt this son of a bitch."
When Dean was saying that, Sam never expected him to fall in love with the woman they would save that night. Well, unfortunately they weren't fast enough to prevent any harm to the girl. When they arrived and Dean killed the nasty creature, Y/n was almost dead. The monster had already raped her, tortured her … and when he felt the hunters enter the place, he drank almost all of her blood, to gain more energy to fight. So as always, Dean was up to blaming himself. Of course only in his own eyes, not anyone else's.
"Call Cas to come home. Tell him it's an emergency."
Dean told his brother when he finally could get Y/n out of those ropes. And Sam knew he was right. At that point, no one could save Y/n unless God or his angels. Maybe she was not so lucky coming across a nasty supernatural creature like that but she was lucky enough that Cas arrived just on time and healed her. However, angels can only heal physical wounds. But Y/n was hurt much more than that. She couldn't just move on from the things that the bastard had put her through. Even after Cas tricked her brain to forget some certain things, she still had bad nightmares and had this dark shade of hopelessness in her eyes. Soon, she started to eat and talk less and less. And Dean just couldn't let her go. He really wanted to fix all of that for her but she kept shutting him out… until the depression hit her. It was so bad that Cas felt the need to tell them to prepare themselves for her death. Because after all those days and unlike everything else in their lives, The Winchesters were already used to her presence around them; like the way a lonely person can get used to a wounded cat more and faster than anyone else.
"I'm not gonna hunt until I'm sure she can live her normal life." When Dean stated that, Sam really thought he was joking. But after a few days he started to believe it. Dean truly would do anything to keep her alive. From cooking vegetables to laughing at his own dad jokes in front of Y/n to make her smile. That was when Sam started to feel that they can be more than a random hunter/rescued victim relationship! It felt like his brother had finally found his motivation in life: "Saving Y/n."
Gradually Y/n started to respond to this special attention from Dean with trust and smiles. Soon they became a power couple that could motivate each other so easily that sometimes Charlie would call them out. And honestly Sam had no problem with it. In fact Y/n had become his other sister.
"My God, Dean! You're burning up!" It was two day after a werewolf hunt in which Dean had got hurt. At first it was just some scratches on his arms and chest. Yet as the time passed, more symptoms started to appear: headache, pain, fever, cold sweat, even nose bleeding and before they could figure it out, Dean fell unconscious. Apparently the claws of the werewolf were poisonous. However Sam wasn't sure. The only thing he got no doubts about was the fact that it was already too late. Dean couldn't make it to the hospital. So either Sam had to do anything possible to save him or Cas should've picked up his God damn phone.
"No. no, no, no, no. Dean … Dean!!!"
That was when Sam got to hear Y/n's helpless cry and see her true feelings. She was already in love with his brother.
Luckily, unlike typical love stories; no one died that night. Sam's antidote worked. And Dean opened his eyes an hour later.
"Sammy … Y/n?" As soon as the words were out of his mouth, Y/n grabbed his face and put her thirsty lips on her beloved hunter's, letting the tears stream down on her face… and then his.
"Never do that again." She begged, breaking the kiss, her trembling hands holding Dean's face so she could look into his eyes.
Sam couldn't stop his smile remembering how cute they were. Y/n literally had Dean wrapped around her little finger, to the point he accepted to teach her how to hunt and soon she was part of their team too. Until … a few months ago. After two years of them being constantly close to each other, Sam could tell something was off when Dean started to go out without eating breakfast with Y/n. Of course she got suspicious after the third time and that was when their endless arguments started.
"Why don't you just tell me what's wrong?"
"Because nothing is wrong, Y/n."
Actually there was. Something was VERY wrong. Anyone could tell that just by the change in Dean's eyes whenever he wanted to look at Y/n. Day by day he was getting more quiet and cold. Now they didn't even eat pie together or watch movies late at night. And Sam couldn't ignore his brother being grumpy or drunk on hunts, not anymore.
"Ok man, I've had enough. You either tell me what's wrong with you or next time I won't make any excuses so you can leave Y/n out of our hunt plans. I'm serious, Dean, I'll tell her the truth." He finally said, when they were alone in the impala, on their way to do their next hunt.
"She wants more."
"More?"
"Yeah. Sometimes it's like she sees more in me. She thinks we can have a different life. There's no need for any saying, I can see it in her eyes whenever we accidentally come across some family at a diner that try to feed their kids or people's wedding photos whenever we go to talk with some witnesses or whoever during the research! Sometimes she even looks up wedding dresses or kid stuff on the net!" Dean blew his anger out of his nostrils and sighed, shaking his head.
"Wow." Sam couldn't find the proper word to say but he couldn't hide his surprised face either.
"What?" Dean gave him an annoyed look.
"I mean …" Sam chuckled. "… are you telling me you're actually angry with her for imagining the things you always dream about?!"
"Sam …"
"No, really. I'm just curious. What's wrong with you, man?" Sam asked genuinely, waiting for an answer.
"What's wrong with me?! You think something is wrong with me just because I'm the rational one in this relationship; who's actually able to see the difference between a dream and the reality?"
Yeah, anyone could take that earnest speech, but not Sam. He'd seen and knew enough about his brother.
"What's the reality? Aren't you and Y/N living that dream life already?"
"What?! No. No … that's not the same." Dean shook his head.
"Really? How is it not? It's been two years, Dean. You two are constantly with and/or around each other. Always worried when the other one is in trouble and still looking at one another like there is nothing in the world that can make you happy as much as this relationship. So … excuse me if I won't buy your pretty speech; man ." Sam said, Rolling his eyes.
"Ok, let's say you're right but ... is it gonna be like that forever? With all the supernatural crap that we have to take care of … and the constant danger and chaos in this hunter life we have… I …"
"You what?" Sam asked when Dean didn't finish his sentence. He was lost in his thoughts, staring at this unknown point in the depth of the road. Finally he blew out his despair.
"I just can't let her fall for the things I know I can't provide for her. It's not fair, Sammy. It's not fair to lock her up in this dark life with me just because she loves me … especially while I know there is a whole bright future out there waiting for her."
"Here we go, the old Dean's self-doubt" Sam thought to himself as he took a deep breath before finding the best words to wake his brother up from this nightmare
"Yeah, I know but I don't think it's your call. If Y/n wants to go to hell with you instead of living in heaven with someone else, it's her choice. Not your responsibility. Right?"
Dean shook his head while his lips curved up a little to fake a smile but he never answered or said anything about that conversation ever again. He kept his silence for like three weeks … until someone new showed up: "Gary Smith". A tall man with the most stylish haircut and the most perfect teeth and smile.
They saw him for the first time at their hangout bar, as the new bartender who almost jumped in Y/n's way as soon as they entered the bar.
"Oh my God, bunny! Is this really you?" He said, pulling her in his embrace. Like she was the long time missing piece of his beloved puzzle!
"Bonny? You're wrong. Her name is Y/n." Dean said, pretty annoyed by the way Gary tightened his arms around Y/n's little shoulders, making him chuckle.
"No, uh … it's just a nickname." Y/n said as soon as the guy let her go.
"Yeah, actually the most fitting nickname that I could think of. I mean … you have to agree. She got the most cute little ears in the world." The guy explained, chuckling and pulling on her little star earring. Well, if Sam wanted to be honest, he had to agree with him. He never paid any attention to it before but now that Gary mentioned it, he could tell Y/n's ears were truly small.
"I see … So … I guess this means you were close friends?" Dean said, already hating the way Y/n e's blushed with hearing her old nickname.
"Uh … well, no. Actually more than that." The guy grinned, ruffling his own hair while he was awkwardly laughing and looking at Y/n. Just like a proud embarrassed teen!
"We used to date." Y/n said.
*oh* Sam tried his best not to let that stupid grin sit on his lips but Dean's frown and his sudden heavy silence didn't let him do so.
"Yeah. We are kinda each other's first. Like … you know? prom date." The man added, giving Y/n a wink while Dean's gaze was still locked on his large arm around her shoulders.
"Yeah. It's been years, Gary."
"I know. But believe me, bunny. you still look the same." He said, bending to put a kiss on her right cheek.
Dean would kill him. Sam just knew that. Because his brother's eyes were already burning with jealousy.
"By the way, don't you wanna tell me who these gentlemen are ?" The guy asked Y/n, giving her his softest smile.
"Of course. This is Sam and this is Dean. My colleagues who are my friends now. I live in their place."
After they met, everything got even more complicated. Y/n, the girl who was still trying to get old-happy-days Dean back suddenly stopped whatever she used to do. No more complains, no waiting at nights to see Dean before going to bed, no more effort to get involved in hunts, no nothing. And despite what Dean had claimed before, it was making Dean even more frustrated. Day to day he and Y/n were getting colder towards each other and there was nothing he could do to fix it. That was what made him even more furious. Sam already knew all of that and he still had to live with both of those grumpy faces. So last night when they began to fight, he could see this was coming: Y/n left the bunker after Dean let some hurtful things out of his mouth, just because he didn't know how to deal with all the heartache anymore. He now was convinced that Y/n didn't love him anymore. Yet the next day after drinking whatever strong drink they had, he begged Sam to come with him. Apparently Jodie texted Dean about Y/n being in her place for that night. Just to make sure that her crazy step son won't sell his soul over a tracking spell! So Dean almost begged his brother to be there with him, cause Dean believed that as much as Y/n didn't care about him, she still respected Sam and cared about him. Like a little sister and her elder brother.
So here they were, In Jodie's living room, in front of her and Y/n.
"Considering your sleepy eyes, I think we caught you at bed time, huh?" Sam asked, checking Y/n's obvious eye bags.
"Who says that? I'm totally good, Sam."
She said with a small smile, looking much more in control and stronger than before. So Sam knew it was a lie. Y/n Just had made her peace with what had happened last night. The realization۹ kicked Dean in the gut. Y/n always used to be stronger and bolder when she got hurt.
"I'm gonna make some coffee for us. Why don't you guys take a seat till I come back?"
Jodie interrupted, to ease the heavy and sharp silence that suddenly had fallen over all of them.
Y/n gave her a smile.
"Of course."
It was so fake. Her smile didn't even curl her lips completely. She was still badly hurting.
Sam swore in his head when he looked over his brother who sank silently into the nearest seat at the end of the table like a broken shell that he was too . One of Dean's hands was in the pocket of his jacket, the other formed a fist on the table. Sam was sure Dean knew it too. He knew everything was almost past saving. "Almost". Sam tried to stick to their small chance.
"So …" He cleared his voice before he put some (semi fake) hope into his words."You're … you're gonna come back home today or did Alex and Claire made you promise them otherwise?" He laughed and tried to make it funny but the truth was he asked this for Dean's sake, knowing he already was struggling to find the words … to let Y/n know how much he wanted her back … to ask her to come back.
"To be honest … I don't think I can live in the bunker anymore." Y/n said and as Dean's head snapped up to look at her in horror, she raised her hand to stop his (likely) protests.
"I applied for a job 3 weeks ago and to my surprise they called me this morning to tell me I'd actually got it."
*What?*
No one had to ask it. The question was already hung in the air. She snored mockingly in her nose. "Perfect timing, right?"
She moved her gaze from her interlocked fingers on the table to Dean's eyes.
He didn't answer, he didn't move but he got tense. Still staring back at Y/n.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Sam asked, once again saving Dean from asking the question he was itching to ask with some other words that for sure couldn't be nice.
"I wanted to but I didn't think I could actually get it and even if I did, I never figured out how to tell you. Besides, I never considered the "move out" option before..." She looked at Sam for a second before she turned her gaze on Dean. "... But I actually appreciate that you bring it up. I think now I can take the advice. I'm gonna move on."
Sam's heart dropped in his stomach when he heard those words. Because he knew what this meant. It felt something like having to watch Dean get stabbed in the heart.
"Is this … because of that Bartender?" Dean asked, staring deadly at Y/n with his bloodshot eyes. He was already chewing on his bottom lip. And Sam knew a heavy storm was on its way to hit them.
"I don't want to answer that question."
*shit*
"Why? Because you can't just simply say no?" Dean scolded and Sam could see how it pushed on Y/n boundaries.
"No. Because it's not your fucking business and it's not Gary's business either. But at least he knows his limits."
*well, fuck*
"By "limits" you mean when he drools on you just because for God knows whatever the reason, you started to wear leather jackets when we go there?"
"WHAT?!"
*Oh, fuck* Sam thought to himself, watching Y/n rise from her seat.
"You think … you really think that I …" she laughed nervously and Sam could tell she would punch Dean in the face if she wasn't a sweet, super nice person.
"How you can even …"
"I can even what, Y/n? Are we now going to pretend like I'm a blind man who can't see how you got attracted to your ex again? Did you really think I couldn't see how your hands were shaking when his filthy face lighted up by seeing you for the first time after all these years?"
Sam wanted to interrupt him or at least leave the room but everything was happening so fast.
"So what? Why and since when you care about my private life?"
"Since you stopped drinking bunker's beers just because you rather drink those crappy poisonous cocktails he makes at the bar!"
Dean was on his feet now as well. And despite his will, Sam couldn't stop his smile. He never saw his brother this jealous before. It was fun.
"Poisonous? … You … of all people, you are the one who says this? cause as much as I know, you're the one who puts dormitives in my guest's food so the poor guy gets tired and can't spend his time with me!"
"Yeah, because your poor guy is not welcomed in MY PLACE!" Dean yelled, punching the table with so much power that made everyone almost jump out of their skins.
"Dean!" Finally Sam interrupted but as soon as he stood up, someone rang the doorbell and Sam could hear Jodie welcoming someone inside.
"Guys … I know it's not my place to interfere but you two really need to sort things out somewhere private … of course that's when both of you can be much calmer than this."
"No, we have nothing to say or to talk about, anymore. Your brother was clear enough when he said he wants me to move out, so I'll move out. And that's it."
Y/n declared, looking at Sam to resist any eye contact with Dean, probably to make him even more crazy.
"And that's it? You wanna ignore that part where you were too eager and ready to accept that suggestion and leave the bunker instantly like your pants were on fire?!"
Dean retorted while Y/n was shaking her head like she couldn't believe him.
"Whose pants are on fire?" Jodie interrupted as soon as she re-entered the room with the coffees she'd made, this time a man was with her. Y/n's guy. The famous bartender.
*Oh, No!*
Sam sighed, closing his eyes for a second so the guy couldn't read his face.
"Obviously not mine." Dean hissed through his teeth, looking first at the guy and then at Y/n with such a disappointment and rage that no one could ignore.
"Hey, what's wrong?" The guy asked, choosing the worst spot to stand on: right next to Y/n.
"My typical life I guess. Nothing's new." She mumbled in reply to him but her eyes were still on Dean.
"No, nothing is wrong with your life, Y/n. It's about your choices. That's what's wrong with you. As always." Dean said bitterly. As sharp as a knife, as cold as ice. Sam could see how it drained color from Y/n's face.
"You better watch your mouth, buddy." The Gary guy warned Dean and Sam could tell that if it wasn't for the sudden thud sound that stole everyone's attention, Dean would throw a fight right there. But …
"Y/n!" Jodie almost screamed. Y/n was laying on the floor, seemingly unconscious.
"Oh, God." Sam said as Jodie rushed to her.
"Y/n? … Y/n can you hear me?"
As she sat next to her, Gary's fingers already were on Y/n's carotid pulse point. So Sam couldn't stop himself from looking up at his brother, who was still standing where he was. In shock.
"Oh, shit!" Gary's worried voice made Sam check Y/n's pale face again but Jodie was the one to dare ask the question which was on everyone's minds.
"What? What's wrong?"
"Her pulse ... too faint." He said before turning to Dean: "Is she bleeding?"
"Bleeding?" Dean blinked and mumbled in confusion.
If it was up to Sam, he'd ask *What bleeding?* & *Why are you asking this from my brother?*
"Oh my. You still don't know. Do you?" Gary sneered.
"Know what? What's happening?" Jodie was freaking out now and Sam actually felt the same. He didn't like the way this stranger pretended like he knew her better than them. However what happened next was much more unexpected. And … rude!
To everyone's surprise, the guy reached out to Y/n's jeans and drew his hand between her legs but before anyone could react, he spread her legs open so it could be possible for everyone to see that big red stain there. Then he raised his hand. It was all wet and red in blood!
"She's having a miscarriage." He revealed.
Sam's gaze instantly caught Dean's ... Burning. Dean was burning inside with his heavy silence.
"Don't you worry. It's not mine." Gary added more fuel to that hell with such a mocking tone, staring right back at Dean's eyes.
Now Sam could feel it. The storm was there: rising in his brother's roar!
Before Sam could've moved any muscles, Gary was already pinned to the wall, Dean's hands on his now-ripped-out collar.
"Dean, no!" Sam jumped in, trying to catch his brother's arm before his fist make any contact with the guy's nose but all he could do was changing the direction of the punch which landed on Gary's shoulder, making a painful cracking sound.
"I said no … Dean, stop it." Sam had to literally cage Dean in his arms so the furious man couldn't tear Gary apart.
"Get off me, Sam. This son of a bitch has to learn his place."
"Enough!" As Dean just broke himself free, Jodie's scream stopped everyone in their tracks.
"It's enough!" Jodie warned all three men, pointing at them one by one.
"You want to fight? Not here. Not in my house!"
"But ..."
As soon as Dean opened his mouth to protest, Jodie cut him:
"And you … you should know Y/n is pregnant with your twins. So … you'll be a responsible man who will try his best to save them or you can get the hell out of here and never come back!"
"What?" Sam was too shocked to suppress his reaction while Dean couldn't even find any words to say. His confused look darted between Jodie's face and Y/n's figure while his parted lips kept moving without making any noise, just like a dying fish on the shore!
"I promised her not to tell anyone but it was a promise under normal conditions, not this." Jodie sighed, struggling to keep her emotions under control. Sam saw the worry in her frown. Like a real mother, worried for her children. However it was nothing in comparison to his brother's blank eyes and pale face.
"Dean, It's ok. We just need to take her to hospital. … it's ok, man. I promise."
He had to grab Dean by his jacket, as his brother was struggling to process all of these in his head.
"Come on, man. We got no time. Do I need to do this alone or you'll …"
"Get the car, Sammy."
It was just a simple sentence. Yet it had enough power to make Sam's heart sank. Since Dean had put the car keys in his hand saying that, Sam couldn't stop thinking about that tone. Dean never had called Baby a "car" In years. And Sam had never heard that crack in his voice since their Dad's death.
"You ok?" He finally let himself ask, two hours after they arrived at the hospital.
"I want to be." Dean closed his eyes and put his head against the cold wall, letting the dim light to darken the shadows under his eyes.
"I'm sure she'll be good. She's strong, Dean. You know that."
He smiled and Sam looked away not to watch him. He knew that smile. Dean used to give him that, whenever everything was gone so wrong that Dean couldn't promise him anything good. Like when both of them were still kids. Hungry, cold and all alone in a rusty motel room where John had left them on their own for a one day long hunt but then a heavy snow had crashed the roads and kept them apart for half a week. So Dean had to wash the dishes and do the laundry in the motel to rent the room for another day and provide some snacks so they wouldn't starve to death. But after three days, the hotel managers didn't want them to be around. And Sam could vividly remember that smile on his brother's face when he asked: *Where should we go then?*
"You were always such a father material. You know?"
Sam admitted with a broken smile on his face.
"You were always responsible, kind and caring with me as a kid. And I can't imagine anyone who deserves to be a father more than you."
Dean took a deep breath and opened his eyes without looking at him: "But I don't want ... I really can't, Sammy."
All, it certainly wasn't the response Sam had expected. He used to believe that Dean would never turn down any chance to start a family with Y/n. Especially after everything in the world was back to normal.
"Are you kidding me? You always wanted this."
"No …" Dean finally turned his gaze to meet his brother's confused eyes. "No, Sammy. Not like this. I don't want to raise another kid without his mom. I'm not that strong anymore."
Dang. Once again Sam's heart dropped in his stomach. Dean was really helpless.
"Mr. Winchester?"
Dean was on his feet as Sam just realized the doctor's presence.
"It's me."
Sam prayed for any good news as doctor took a glance of Dean and fixed his glasses on his face …
"To be continued …"

---
Sam turned slightly to look at you, where you had fallen asleep in the back of the Impala and smiled.
“Kid’s pooped.” Dean commented and Sam smiled. “Technically she’s only what… 11?” Sam said with a smile, looking back out the window, as Dean looked in the mirror and turned the music down.
Sam still remembered that day about 11 years ago, when he had first found you – just a baby wrapped in a thin blanket. It took a little less than a minute of you laying in his arms before you had Sam wrapped around your tiny fingers.
At best, Dean had been hesitant, the hesitation only growing when they realised you were half-demon. Sam glanced at Dean who had his eyes fixed on the road, remembering the many arguments that they had had - about bringing you up to be good and Sam’s own insistence that you were half human and could be good. When Sam finally managed to convince Dean to carry you in his arms, you had looked up at him, grabbed his finger and Dean had stopped arguing altogether.
You had spent the next 11 years growing under the watchful eyes of the Winchesters. You didn’t present like a normal 11-year-old child, growing rapidly, both physically and mentally and Sam had finally relented a few years back, allowing you to go on hunts with them. Which, as Dean constantly reminded him, had saved their skins more than once.
You whined a little as Dean went over a hump and Sam turned to glance at you again as you shifted in your sleep. “Sorry kid.” Dean whispered, an affectionate smile on his face as he glanced at you through the mirror.
Sam smiled. “Crazy, huh?”
Dean glanced at Sam. “You know if Dad was here, he’d whoop our asses.”
Sam rolled his eyes. “Dean, it took you all of two seconds to love that girl.”
“Shut up.”
Sam chuckled, readjusting himself on the seat, taking one last look back at you, the feeling of pride that was blossoming in his chest was one that only a father could have. You’d made both of them proud - the way you could tell right from wrong as easily as breathing, sometimes even steering both of them on the right path when they wavered.
---
You had been brought up like a daughter under Sam and Dean, but you always knew it was out of the goodness of their hearts that they had taken you in, so you were always careful about making the right decisions. You had always called them by their names, and no one talked about what you all were to each other – you just knew you were family, and you loved each other.
As you were growing up, you had an unmistakable connection to Sam that you couldn’t really explain. Dean was just as protective over you and you knew he loved you under his gruff exterior but there was just something that made you naturally closer to Sam.
You looked up as you heard voices talking, getting up and peeping out from your room. You could hear it in Dean’s voice and it wasn’t good.
“We’ll deal with them but right now, you and me, we gotta go to Hell.” Dean’s voice travelled down the corridor.
You froze as you heard Castiel’s voice, “Woah. You do?”
“Jo said that’s where Ruby stashed the Occultum.” Sam explained.
You stood a little distance away but you could hear everything they were saying. “Ruby? The demon you were sexually intimate with?”
Your eyebrows shot up as you heard the disdain in Dean’s voice. “Sexually intimate?”
You didn’t like where this conversation was leading though, as you listened to Cas try to convince Sam and Dean that going to Hell wasn’t a good idea.
“We have to work with what we have. So we’ll go to Hell, you stay topside and keep that spell alive so we get back, alright?” Dean snapped, turning but freezing in his tracks when he saw you. “Hey kid.”
“Y/N?” Sam stepped out of the room they had been in.
Your expression must have betrayed you because Sam stepped towards you.
“Isn’t that too dangerous?” You asked, your eyes darting from Sam to Dean and back again.
Sam didn’t answer your question directly. “As long as the spell is kept alive here, Dean and I will be able to come back. No problems, okay?” he bent to look you in the eye.
You knew this was important. “Okay.” Your voice came out as a whisper.
As Sam straightened up, you looked up again. “Sam.”
You paused as he looked back down at you. “Be safe.” You whispered. Sam smiled and reached down to hug you. “You take care of things here, okay?”
You nodded before looking at Dean. “Don’t worry, kid.” Dean said, as he gave you a tight hug. “We’ll be right back.”
---
You sat with Castiel in the library, staring at the bowl that contained the spell that was Sam and Dean’s ticket back.
“So they made it? Sam and Dean are in hell?” Jack asked as he walked in.
You didn’t answer but Castiel spoke, “Yeah.” He paused. “There are too many holes in Jo’s story. Who was Ruby going to sell the Occultum to? Why didn’t Jo try to get it back?”
Your eyes flicked up now. “You think she’s lying?”
Castiel sighed, “I think we need to ask Ruby.”
“She’s dead.” Jack stated, confusion etched across his face.
“In the Empty.” Castiel clarified. “I need your assistance. Both of you.”
“Sure, anything.” Jack responded, as you knew he would.
Castiel stood, “I need you to kill me. Almost.”
“Wait.” You stopped him.
Castiel put a hand up. “Listen, if I’m at death’s brink, I should be able to put one foot in the afterlife and contact Ruby.”
Jack frowned and glanced at you. “Cas, the Empty doesn’t exactly like you, remember?”
“I’ll go.” You said, interrupting the conversation.
Castiel frowned at you. “No.”
“I’m half-demon, the same spell will get me to the same place. I’m a new face, the Empty doesn’t have a beef with me, and me being half-demon might be advantageous when I talk to this Ruby.”
Castiel hesitated, glancing at Jack.
“Besides, it’s safer that you’re here. What if you go and Jack and I can’t bring you back?” You argued. “If you’re here, I know that you’ll definitely be able to bring me back. Come on, Cas.”
Castiel looked at your determined expression and he knew that you were right.
“If this will help Sam and Dean, I’m doing it.” You stressed.
“Are you sure?” Jack asked, looking from you to Castiel.
Castiel glanced at you again and you nodded at him.
“You have one hour. That’s it.” Castiel said, looking slightly worried.
You nodded at him before turning to Jack. Jack hesitated but touched your forehead and you felt the breath knocked out of you, your life force being drained into a flask that he was holding out in front of you. The last thing you saw was Jack’s worried face before your eyes fluttered shut.
---
You found yourself surrounded by darkness. Utter pitch black. You could even feel your human half squirming.
“Ruby? Ruby? Can you hear me?” You called out, taking a few steps forward. You weren’t even sure if any of your powers would work here.
“Hello. You’re a new face.” A voice came out of the darkness and you spun around defensively.
A woman sitting on a chair facing you. “Why are you stomping around here looking for Ruby?”
You took a deep breath. “I’m here to fulfil a request ordered by Death.” You paused, narrowing your eyes slightly. “Are you the Empty?”
She let out a smile. “Oh, a smart one. Now, tell me. Why should I help you?”
You took another step forward. “I understand you and Death are working together.”
She sighed dramatically before pointing. You turned to see a ball of light, before it enlarged and a young woman took its place.
“Ruby?” You ventured, moving towards the new appearance.
She looked confused as she looked around before looking at you. “Where am I?”
“You’re dead.” You stated matter of factly.
Ruby’s eyes grazed over you and it bothered you that she seemed to be sizing you up. “I remember.” She finally said, “Are you?”
You shrugged, “Almost, I guess.” A beat of silence passed between the two of you. “Ruby, I’m looking for an object known as the Occultum. The angel Jo said that you hid it somewhere in Hell.”
Ruby rolled her eyes. “Did she? That is so like her. Don’t you think it’s a little obvious for a demon to be hiding something in Hell?”
“I wouldn’t know.” You said, squinting your eyes at her. “Sam and Dean are searching there now.”
Her expression softened, “Oh, Sam. How is the big lug? I liked him.” Unconsciously, a low growl rose in your throat. “We had a good thing, until…”
Ruby paused. “Are you… You are, aren’t you?”
“What?” You snapped, your patience wearing thin.
“You’re half-demon aren’t you? You’re her.”
You froze. “You know me?”
Ruby looked at you. “Oh, you must be her. Sam must have found you. I’m glad he took you in, that’s so typical Sam.” You growled a little, getting annoyed.
“How do you know me?” You asked again, wary.
“Why, honey, don’t you recognise your mother?” Ruby drawled, a small smile playing on her lips.
If you had been holding something, you would have dropped it.
Your mouth opened but no sound came out as the conversation you had overheard this morning played in your head like a broken recorder.
Ruby? The demon you were sexually intimate with?
You looked at Ruby again and she answered the question you didn’t ask, “Yeah, honey, Sam’s your father.”
You swallowed, processing the information. You didn’t have a lot of time left in the Empty, you needed to get the information you came for.
“Listen, I don’t have a lot of time. Can we just…” You tore your eyes away from the woman, the demon, that had just dropped a bombshell on you, and pressed further. “When you went to Jo about the Occultum…”
“When I went to see her?” Ruby’s voice was scathing now and you looked back up. “She called me.” You listened, an uneasy feeling forming in your gut as you listened to Ruby give her account of what had really happened, how Jo had asked to see her, pitching her the idea to be in the safest place anyone could be in when Michael and Lucifer battled it out – the Occultum.
“It’s a place?” You asked incredulously.
Ruby looked straight at you. “Whatever you want to call it, it’s powerful. Anyway, we had a deal so I stashed it. I can tell you the location. But it’s definitely not in Hell.”
You tried to ignore the voice screaming in your head that Sam and Dean were in hell for nothing, stashing away the desire to kill Jo. “Does Jo know where it is?”
Ruby let out a dry laugh. “As if she could be trusted. But you can trust me.”
It was your turn to let out a laugh. “Because you’re my mother?”
Ruby rolled her eyes. “Because I want a deal.” She paused. “I’ll help you on one condition. Get me the hell out of here.”
“What?” You asked, furrowing your brows.
“This place is full of sorrow and despair, playing over and over again.” Ruby spat.
You looked back at her helplessly. “There’s no way I can…”
“You’re connected. I bet Sam, Dean, Castiel, they’re all waiting for you at the other end. I just need you to try.”
You needed to get the information from her before time ran out. “Okay, I’ll try.”
Ruby leaned forward to whisper in your ear.
---
Jack cast a look at Cas, his eyes moving towards your limp form at the table before looking back at the bowl containing the spell that was Sam and Dean’s ticket back here. Just then, a whooshing sound signaled their return.
“Guys, you’re back!” Jack called as their eyes fell on your limp form.
“Jack? Cas? What the hell?” Dean stepped forward, his eyes trained on you.
“Y/N? Honey?” Sam was kneeling next to you. “She’s cold. What’s going on?”
Jack looked at them. “She’s dead… kind of.”
Dean looked worriedly at you, his eyebrows furrowed.
“What?” Sam spat.
Castiel stood. “The Occultum isn’t in Hell.”
Dean didn’t say anything but swung his head to Jack.
“Y/N went to the Empty. Hopefully... To find Ruby. Hopefully... To find out where this Occultum thing is located.” Jack frowned. “Hopefully...”
“That’s way too many hopefullys!” Sam raised his voice as Dean looked back at Castiel.
“Bring her back. Now!”
---
When Ruby pulled away, you studied her.
“But it’s true, what you said?” You asked. Ruby rolled her eyes. “I told you, you could trust me.”
You shook your head. “I meant what you said about… me…” Your voice trailed off.
Ruby smiled. “Oh darling, that is definitely true. I made sure Sam would find you. But the rest? That’s all him.”
With that, Ruby quietly disappeared into the darkness, smiling at you.
“Hey.” The Empty was back now. “Now, my turn.”
Your stomach did a nervous flip. You were now pretty sure none of your abilities would work here.
“You don’t get to come traipsing in as and when you like, so take this as a little punishment.” She fisted her hand into a ball and you felt a pain surge through your body, as if someone was squeezing your heart and your whole body.
You groaned, sinking to your knees.
---
Castiel glanced at Dean again. “Now, Cas!” He raised his voice.
Castiel nodded at Jack, who quickly picked up the flask, unscrewing it and holding it close to you, letting the lifeforce seep back into your body.
Dean watched helplessly as Sam tightened his hold on your arm.
Your eyes snapped open as you took a deep shuddering breath, coughing. You could still feel the lingering pain from the Empty’s hold on you.
“Y/N!” Sam called out, as you swiveled your eyes towards him, his face hovering above you – your father. Your actual father.
Dean let out a sigh of relief.
“You’re back.” You breathed, smiling at them.
“Are you crazy Y/N? What if this hadn’t worked?” Dean asked, staring straight at you like he did when you used to get in trouble. You looked at Sam whose worried expression was now being replaced with one of slight annoyance.
“But it did.” You stubbornly said. “I’d do it again.”
“You could have gotten yourself killed.” Sam said, causing you to fall back into silence.
You crossed your arms. “The Occultum was never in Hell.”
“We would have told you that if you had waited for us.” Sam said.
You shook your head continuing, “It’s apparently the safest place in the world. And I got the location.” You stared back defiantly at both of them.
“It’s a place?” Dean asked, frowning.
“Yeah.” You said. “Am I still crazy?” You asked, looking between both of them.
“Yes.” They both said in unison.
You rolled your eyes.
“Before we go, we need to talk.” Sam said, his stern voice telling you there was no room for argument.
You sighed and nodded. Sam looked at Dean who nodded at him. “We’ll find a way. Go.”
Sam stalked back towards your room, as you followed close behind.
“What were you going to do if you got stuck there?” Sam asked. “Y/N, I told you to think before you react. Always!” You could hear the genuine worry in his voice.
You didn’t respond immediately, just stepped forward and looped your arms around his torso, hugging him.
“I’m sorry…” You let a beat of silence pass before you said it, “Dad.”
You felt Sam freeze before he pulled away gently so that he could look at you. A small frown crossed his face. “Thought you didn’t like calling us that.”
You shrugged. “I thought you wouldn’t like it.”
You turned away. “I met Ruby.”
The thoughts you had pushed aside earlier were flooding your mind now. Sam and Dean had taken you in without knowing anything, without knowing who you were, where you came from and it was by sheer dumb luck that you had found out that Sam was your father. Your actual father. With that thought, a warmth spread in your chest.
Over the years, you had had your doubts about yourself. Sam always stressed that you were half human and that the human side of you could always choose to do the right thing. But you were never really sure, until now. You now knew why your human side could do the right thing, because your human side had come from Sam.
“Y/N?” Sam asked, you could hear him moving closer.
You turned around to face him. “She told me. About the both of you.” A look of knowing crossed Sam’s face. “That’s where I came from.” You whispered.
A look of shock crossed Sam’s face. “What?”
You frowned a little, trying to read his expression. “You don’t believe her?” You asked.
Sam shook his head. “No, I… I didn’t know.” He paused. “I think I finally understand the connection.” He smiled.
“Ruby wouldn’t lie from where she is. There’s no reason to.” Sam reassured you.
“Even if it’s a lie, is it wrong to want to believe in it?” You asked, dragging your eyes up to Sam’s.
“I believe it.” Sam whispered, bending down to give you a hug.
The one thing you knew for sure was that Sam had seen you as a daughter long before he knew you were his blood. Blood or not, he had loved you and that thought alone brought tears to your eyes.
“I’m glad it was you who found me.” You whispered. “Back then, when I was a baby... I’m glad it was you.”
Sam smiled back at you, affectionately tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
“Can I call you that?” You asked.
Sam smiled. “You can call me whatever you want.”
You nodded, “Thanks,” Reaching forward for him again, you whispered, “Dad.”
