I've been holding onto Matador since I got back from Barcelona months ago and here he FINALLY is. And also another newbie!

Matador Smurf:

-Ironically very anti killing. He just wants to show off more than anything. Can usually subdue large or dangerous animals into crashing into walls and stuff quite well but he's a noble heart, will never go for the kill. IS a skilled fencer for other sapient opponents when it's fair. Would fight Don more but Don's a swashbuckling kind of hero whilst Matador sticks to fencing rules and would probably lose in a real swordfight.

-The Barcelonian! From the Catalonia region of Spain. Knows both mainland Spanish and Catalonian but tends to use Catalonian to P off Elena who only knows mainland Spanish … bit of a cultural rivalry there XD

-As bad as Smooth for flirting with everything that moves. Actually that includes Smooth too. It's a flirt off. And by that I mean dating but not. It's similar to Smooth and Slammy, both are wayyy too non committal to settle down but after Smooth's 174758th rejection from Jokey and when Slammy is back to doing his part time dating of the band Smooth can usually be found crawling back to Matador

SmurfHemlock:

-Born SmurfSunflower (Sunny) was a shy kid who disliked the other typical grove activities like archery and dance. Thought she didn't really fit in with anyone and would usually just be found down by the swamp poking stuff with sticks. She had one friend tho, a friend she thought was just as weird. SmurfRafflesia was obsessed with the undead and paranormal, and through her admiration of her, Sunflower came to enjoy these things too, finding beauty in death and wanting to preserve it somehow.

-Teenage Sunflower takes on a goth not-phase and changes her name to Hemlock (Sunflower was so … preppy!) and begins to study the art of taxidermy. Still regarded as one of the black sheeps of the grove but she minds it much less now - she kind of revels in the solitude. Begins developing a fairly big crush on Rafflesia before one day … Raff just goes missing out of the blue. It breaks Hemlock's heart and she sinks further into the loner persona. Also some weird demon got out somewhere but Papa and Willow took care of that.

-Lol JK Raff isn't gone forever, she shows up one day as a ghost and claims some Archaeologist from the guy village found her and whoops she's been gone for a century what did she miss haha. Well Hemlock is PISSED. I mean who does that? Esp/ since Rafflesia admits she wasn't even trapped she was just vibing in the mausoleum Archie found her in (Raff and Archie are a bit similar in that way, they're both married to their work and can be a bit self absorbed in it at times)

-Anyway Hemlock's been doing great w/ her taxidermy all this time. She's very careful and only sources natural deaths or kills … but may adopt elderly insects with some ulterior motives. At least she's good to em and they get a very comfortable end of life before becoming art pieces. Go figure. She's made up w/ Raff, it is pretty cool to have a ghost friend after all, and apparently Rafflesia also made some new friends in the village - holy shit is that a talking skeleton?? That's pretty goth.

-Skelly groans internally. Yet more admirers. Will he 'ere be rid of his fans ("Shut up Skelly")

3 platonic dynamics I love: Zagreus/Minotaur (I really do love the convos and the mutual respect they have even with Theseus's bitch ass there), Skelly/Zagreus (the fact that it's the same voice actor still kills me every time, kind of like how I kill Skelly--),

3 favorite moments in canon:

Being tricked into thinking I had to fight Cerberus and feeling my heart break only for me to let out the biggest sigh (and then deal with the most annoying enemies in the game. They've killed me more then freaking Hades has)

First time hearing Orpheus sing and it's the same song Eurydice sang. The chills I got from his version and how unbelievably sad it sounded. I made a 3 part fic just because of this damn song and the different versions.

The record scratching and music completely stopping after stealing from Charon's shop. I just saw it and didn't even think about it. I barely saw that it said "Steal?" before I had already clicked it. It was just so fucking funny and I definitely let out an "Oh shit" and died to him the first time cause I was not ready.

3 favorite headcanons:

This is another series that I've done so many romantic headcanons for (and I ended up being swamped in requests too, fully expect that for Hades 2 as well)

Hypnos sharing his autograph book with Thanatos. He's just so proud and happy and saying things like, "Well, I got the Asterius's autograph" and Thanatos staying quiet even though he's definitely met Theseus and Asterius several times.

Persephone getting Hades and Zagreus a "Get Along" shirt. No way in hells would they wear it, but it would be such a funny thing for her to do and then she'd explain about the memes of the mortal world (which I can only imagine the memes of ancient greece)

Zagreus trying to teach Thanatos and Meg how to fish. Thanatos actually does a good job, but Meg gets frustrated a bit and scares off the fish (they all cheer when she does eventually catch one).

3 least favorite things about it:

Zeus is in it 😔 (yes I understand that Zeus would be in the game based on greek mythology, but anyone that's into greek mythology or knows a bit about it knows that Zeus is the literal worse).

Apollo isn't in it (I love sun daddy so much. I know he's going to be in Hades 2, but I really would've loved the interactions with Zagreus and choosing one sibling over the other. I just hope Hades 2 Apollo isn't like Lore Olympus Apollo)

I wish there was some more variations with the cast. Like I know there's different dps effects or you get more based on certain things, but I wish that it could have some aesthetic changes depending on which deity you have a boon from.

we did an experiment today that involved taking each others’ heart rate. the professor and three other students in my group could barely find a pulse after trying every major point- wrist, neck, chest. one girl gave me her heart rate monitor to try on; it couldn’t find a pulse. we guessed it was about 60. this all made me feel very good because my life’s true ambition is to be a ghoul. not in an anorexic skelly way, more like a shambling zombie buried in swamp water that lunges at boats passing overhead…

jessie dreams of one day possessing the luck and willpower to slaughter john in some grand, dramatic, spectacular, poetic, climactic manner. (nothing sexual). she makes no meaningful effort or concrete plans to actually do so, because you only get to kill someone once and the moment just has to be special and perfect, you know? (again, nothing sexual). alternatively she dreams of him rotting in prison while she becomes a cultural icon from the reaping publicity. (which comes to fruition in the america’s sweetheart spinoff verse, in which their psychosexual obsession is never actually consummated and instead continues playing out impotently in courtroom dramas and press conferences in perpetuity.)

john is holding out hope for jessie coming to her senses and willingly confessing and atoning, and oscillates wildly between hopes that she will once again become Just Some Guy in the project once that’s accomplished and not consume his every thought and action and he’ll be totally normal and the competing hope that once she is cleansed and faithful they will be together in some complete and eternal manner he purposefully ill defines to himself as he tries his best to convince himself he is doing this all out of duty to joseph. so, classic relationship goals.

tl;dr he wants her flayed skin on his wall she wants his head on a platter, they’re doing great.

during their time apart when jessie is her Never Going Back To The Valley And It’s Fine We Only Did Hand Stuff era, john continues to curl up with the jacket that still has some of her swamp vag stink smell clinging to it when he sleeps at night. jessie takes to wearing john’s watch and fidgets with it as a sort of stress toy to ground herself when she’s losing her mind in the henbane. she’s over him tho.

jestiny tends to avoid thinking about the future too much, her ideal scenario would be they just keep doing what they’re doing forever without actually discussing if as an official commitment. her only other dream future would be skylar dumping dylan.

sherri dreams of settling down and staying in hope county, and skylar abandoning any loyalty to dylan’s master bait shop to work with her and take over can of worms fishing store so that she can also focus on restoring the mchelen’s empire to its former glory. skylar more or less shares this dream, but is torn and indecisive on fully cutting dylan out of the picture and occasionally leans towards wanting to leave hope county and all start anew together. jessie is originally included in these dreams, but the constant outbursts, erraticism, selfishness, and irresponsibility eventually convince them she’s not really the type of girl you settle down with.

skylar and sherri will often pack jestiny’s tackle box for her when she’s sleeping in late and missing peak morning fishing hours, so she can come out and join them as soon as she’s up and still get some good catches. she repays them by gutting all the fish for them. (which is quite considerate by jestiny standards. or maybe she just needs to cut something up idk)

Quite the improvement over the early Campaign 2 swamp troll stump (meaning no offense of course). As I said, a mighty epic tree! The Sun Tree deserves no less.

The Monsters/Villains

Why does spirit form Delilah look like Imogen’s hair? It’s as if when she lost her hair, it animated into a malevolent wig wraith. This Specter mini doesn’t photograph super well, but it has a certain pop to it in person. Decent miniature choice. But such an infamous villain is deserving of a more loft model imo. If/when Delilah returns, I would expect a custom model.

Skeletons Warhammer Sepulchral Guard skeletons

An interesting skeleton situation in this episode. We have two of the best in the biz appearing onscreen alongside some of the worst. The Warhammer Sepulchral Guards are metal af. Spectacular poses and cast fidelity. With the exception of Campaign 1 final form Vecna, it is a rare occasion that a Warhammer model appear on Critical Role. But here we are. What a delight. The downward swing skeleton is one of my all time fav skellies.

Gods awful. Garbage. I own these models, I don’t have the heart to throw them away, but I actively avoid using them on the tabletop. There are so many variations on this figure, what an absolutely waste of plastic.

There is a subtle brilliance to the posing and sculpting of this figure. A certain slackness, jerky, distinctly reanimated appearance to this pose. Also, the skull of this skeleton actually looks like a skull, unlike the skele-poots. This model also comes in an axe variant, which I think I might prefer, because, let’s face it, this sword looks busted.

I have not been on here in approximately five billion years but randomly stopping in bc I’ve finally got a laptop properly able to play DS3 so I am like five years late. I haven’t beaten it yet, but my thoughts so far (I just got to Lothric Castle):

feels better to move around than in ds2, but ds1 still has my favourite “weighty” feeling

why did they fuck up covenants like this, why are the blue sentinels AND the blade of the darkmoon here and sharing the same job, why no blue eye orb, farming for ears was agony, why no penalty for leaving, there’s no loyalty aspect

I like that you can wear a decent amount of armour and still have a good roll without investing a lot in vit

so far my fave run has been my pryo with dark and chaos-infused weapons

offensive miracles are still overall bad lol rip wog

sorcery is pretty underwhelming too

why hexes no return as their own category hggn

oh my god these quest lines are outrageously specific

it’s sadly easy to miss npc invasions and therefore specific weapons/gear, best bet is to be always embered or look things up in advance

from my small amount of pvp, I prefer the ds2 pvp and the sheer amount of build variety

expanding on that, I don’t feel like there’s a lot of weapon variety, mostly bc unique weapons are usually bad and you’re better off using a straight sword and spamming r1

hard to get attached to a weapon early on, gotta wait a while for interesting ones

fuck gru, fuck goats, don’t jump on me

fromsoft we’re taking away the swamp area from you for the next three games

you go in the boss door so fast which is awesome, unlike in ds2 where you take your sweet time and get clipped running to the boss

occasional estus refill fighting stuff, nice

do not like fp system, give me back limited but certain number of uses, don’t make me split healing

man fuck those skellies that throw bleed knives at you, they wreck my ass every time

also those big ladies are a constant threat throughout, I’m impressed, that book smack hurts

anor londo is just a small area and doesn’t overstay its welcome

tons of rings but they feel fairly distributed through the game and not too overpowered (so far)

the linearity of the game is one of its main downfalls for me, you’re heavily railroaded a certain path that doesn’t open up a ton, you can try dancer early but that seems like a big task, multiple playthroughs chart very similar courses

fire and dark op, I approve

weapon arts are cool in theory but not usually the best option, also eats into fp so those using spells and stuff are disincentivized to use them

a lot of enemies just go ham and while it doesn’t feel unfair, it can feel like the enemies are in bloodborne while we’re stuck in dark souls; ds1 playstyle seems pretty dead for their games overall

Adventures from my first survival world in minecraft and first time playing on pc:

Started so slow that it started getting dark before I even had a bed or food or light so I panicked and dug straight down and lucked out major by stumbling across some coal and spent the night by a campfire but also digging a tunnel out (spoiler, I never found the other side)

Day 2 I was still digging but then gave up and decided to make an actual exit to my hidey hole. Got part way through before noticing a skelly and panicking and quickly finishing the exit with door and running back down and hiding the second night out.

Day 3 I decided I would find a village so with my boat in my hotbar and everything I owned (aside from the torches lighting up the area in case I had to come back, don’t want my only shelter being a spawner zone) I made a beeline for the shore running straight through a creeper and the creeper exploded and blew up the entry to my hidey hole and left me with 1 heart. I made it to shore and got the fuck outta there. I stumbled upon a swamp biome with lots of wildlife and made a bed and a grass roof hut for the sheep to graze as much as they wanted. Slept this night away in my first bed and a few more nights while I gathered my bearings.

Day: unknown I decided I needed to continue on my quest to find a village because I don’t like straining wildlife populations and would rather breed up the local wildlife than have to transport more in. So I packed up everything I owned again and set off in the morning, not paying any attention to where I was going.

Same Day, Day 1 of travel: It seems to be nothing but forest. Dark oak too close to home for comfort. I slept in the open like a fool

Day 2 of travel: Oak forest. More wildlife but I have enough food for now, I hope. Accidentally grabbed a yellow flower I had no room for in my inventory so I dyed my bed yellow. Slept in the open again like a fool

Day 3 of travel: Found a plains biome just before sunset, contemplated digging into the hillside for the night but decided against it [foreshadowing], slept in the open yet again, like a fool.

Day 4 of nonsense: I pick up my bed and as I go to pick up my torch, am immediately greeted by a creeper and by greeted I mean he did not stay the mandatory 6ft away from me and by that I mean he detonated and I died.

I was full of adrenaline and upset and I knew I couldn’t make it to where I had died fast enough so I Rage Quit [but more like Sad Quit] so that I would only have lost just before the yellow bed shenanigans and still have the rest of my stuff that I worked so hard to get instead of having to start all over and cry the whole time.

Yes I am being a big baby abt this I have only ever played creative mode because I just like building cool shit.

So, let me say that I’m sorry that I’ve all but dropped off the face of the planet.  I don’t want to and I’m clinging onto it for dear fucking life, but it’s had to take the back burner and will for the next couple of months.

But, I need to get some things off my chest:

TL;DR:  Adulting is fucking hard.

When I started writing this blog, my brother/roommate had a job.  I didn’t have to break my back for anything and could take my time and answer asks to my leisure.  But then he lost his job - and all financial responsibility fell on me.  Its been pretty fucking busy for me:  I now have a job that I work 8-6 because I like money, I’m running a DnD campaign, and helping my mother start a baking business!  Questions about my sexuality have started popping up, I’ve been thinking about starting a family, and I started caring about my health in more ways than one - I’ve already lost 10 lbs talking to a nutritionist and my GP and I are going over therapy options for me so I don’t go bonkers.  All in all, I’ve been bettering me as a person!

Needless to say, I’ve been pretty fucking stressed.  This hasn’t been anything new since I actually love working under pressure...

But I’ve run into a bit of a snag:  My lease for the apartment is up at the end of June.  I have a few places in mind but would love a little bit of wiggle room and I know if I need it, I can ask my family for help.  But I hate begging for money from people.  So I decided to offer what I do best out to you guys:  Writing.

I don’t know how I’ll do this, really, but I want to try opening up writing commissions.  Personalized writing commissions on whatever you want.  Obviously, certain things are off limits because we’re civilized individuals.  But pretty much anything is fair game.

  So in the time that I’ve run this blog, I’ve had plenty of people come to me and ask me to write about their OCs in certain situations with Bakugou.  I’ve turned it down because it’s not really my thing, I didn’t want to risk screwing up your characters - but I’ve thought about it more and more, and I do think I might have the ability to give you guys something that you would be happy with. I want to open up commissions where I write whoever is willing to pay, personalized stories completely and 100% for them.  

Do you want to go to prom with Bakugou and live out your dream of having it take place in the Fall Out Boy “Dance Dance” scene?  Fucking there for you. Do you want Toro to make you those little fucking rolled ice cream treats with Oreos off of his back?  I don’t know why you would want that, seems to be against Health and Safety Protocols but fucking great, I got you judgment-free zone.  Do you want Deku to be your best friend while you go through a haunted house where the theme is swamp monsters?  Well, I hope you got your brown pants and galoshes on cause shit do I got a spook for you!

We’ll discuss the prices based on difficulty and what you’re expecting, but prices will range to about this:

For Non-Smut - you’re basically looking at 1 center ($.01) per word.

$15 - $25 - Up to 2500 words or roughly 5 pages

$26 - $50 - Up to 5000 words or roughly 10 pages

$51 & Up - Up to 10000 words or 20 pages.

For Smut Content - you’re looking at about $1.75 per word!

For the lower range, it’ll be for easier things like simple dates or subjects that I’m knowledgable in.  If I have to do research on things, depending on how much research I have to do, it’ll raise up in price.  But so long as you’re in the word range, you won’t go over the highest price.  For example, if you want me to write 4000 words for your OC and Bakugou in a Far Cry 3 AU with no smut: since I’ve never played Far Cry 3 and would have to look up what happens in the game, you’d be looking at spending about $45 dollars.

What kind of things will you write for, though?

-  Original Content -  Fanfiction -  x Reader -  Smut! (Kinks will be discussed but I honestly don’t judge) -  Non smut! 

Pretty much anything you want!  It doesn’t just have to be BNHA related!  I’ll write about whatever, it doesn’t matter!  Monsters, demons, love, coffee shop AUs, OCs doing crazy shit as wizards?!  The world is quite literally you’re oyster!  No video game character is off limits, no TV show is past my reach!  I have the technology!

What I definitely won’t write:  

-  Incest -  Underage -  I didn’t even do my own homework, so I’m not doing yours either I served my nickel.

It’s the witch children AU yet again, I realized that I didn’t make the outfits look like with for some ppl so,

Blaze Biffa backstory(p much the same for Ghast Biffa, actually, but Ghast Biffa has different design n minor details different)

His coven is the 2OO1-very technologically focused nether coven, doesn’t make much contact w any other covens. Biffa spent most of his time as a child by himself flying around, setting fires, messing with metal(2OO1 found iron from when some Overworld witches left it behind). One day he was attacked by rogue wither skeleton bandits, who severely injured him, cut his legs off and broke some of his blaze rods. He was found just in time by the coven and was fixed up.(he got 3 of the blaze rods replaced with mechanical arms, his body fixed with metal and armor for protection, and a rocket on his torso to help him fly better(with a spinning metal guard). He wears sunglasses to cover the scar on his eye.

After that, Biffa became much more antagonistic and would attack groups of people, especially wither skeletons. Sometimes he would even send fire at wither skeleton guards(patrolling at fortresses) from above. One day he saw impulse near a lava pool as he was flying. He went to attack him, but was tackled by Tango(who was talking to Impulse in the lava pool). The two eventually got Biffa to calm down and explain that Impulse was just a kid and didn’t want to hurt anyone. The relationship between them was strained at first, but Biffa had not met many other kids, and eventually warmed up to the pair(and vice versa). They became pretty good friends, and Biffa introduced Tango and impulse to iron and machinery/inventing(iron wasn’t found in the Nether, so very few Nether residents had iron, but as said before, the 2OO1 found some left from the Overworld).

Tango+Impulse backstory(ish)

This is Minecraft mobs only, not real life mobs(magma cube+wither skellie)

Tango is not from a coven, is from a loner Nether witch (surname Tek) who does traveling-merchant sort of witchcraft. He often explores different places because his parent is constantly moving(as long as he knows how to get back to his parent, he’s allowed to go explore).

Impulse is the witch son of the general of the wither skeleton guard and witch healer(for the Nether fortress he lives in, that only houses wither skeletons bc this is not Minecraft canon). He often goes on patrols with the guards as practice for becoming part of the guard for real. He’s the only witch in the fortress besides his witch parent.

One day Impulse falls off (or is knocked off)a bridge while on patrol and lands on tango, who was exploring the base of the fortress. Despite the rough start, they bonded over being witches and became best friends. Later, the met Biffa and messed around with each other until one day, Zedaph arrived. The portal he went through was actually broken on the other side before, so the portal spawned right in the tunnels the trio was in at the time (for plot convenience. It could also be that Zed wandered the Nether for a few days before coincidentally bumping into the trio). Everyone was understandably confused, considering the trio(BIT?) had just seen a portal appear and Zed has been hoping to go back to the End/to Iskall and Stress. Zedaph decided to stay in the Nether for the time being, considering he didn’t know how to get back home, and the foursome formed the group BITZ. Later, they became ZIT.
