Since I just saw RT trying to sell the battle between the T-90M and the two Bradleys as a “win”, here’s some memes about it.
And Friendly Reminder that the 25mm chaingun was never meant to be used against tanks, that’s what the TOW missiles were for, and yet those crews successfully used it to completely clown on Russia’s most modern tank in actual service, the equivalent of a BMP-2 taking out an Abrams.

For my first post Id like to give some details about Russia's most advance Tank in service: the T-90M Proryv-3
Now I know what you thinking-"isn't the T-14 Armata Russia's most advance tank?". Well it would be if it was actually in service, and while they can technically push it through at any given moment, its still very much undergoing testing(watch as they throw it into Ukraine next year and make this whole statement irrelevant).
New features it boasts:
Improved Protection thanks to the addition of the new Relikt ERA(Explosive Reactive Armor) blocks, and overall better coverage of the ERA blocks on the turret and the side of the Hull, and even some additional ERA blocks covering the front mud guards above the tracks. Overall the protection vs Kinetic rounds from the front will be around 750mm to 950mm(estimate) and 1200 Chemical. Important to note that the base composite armor on this tank is still the exact same as on the T-90A, and the internal layout is more or less, identical too with a few exceptions such as a new bustle ammo storage on the back of the turret designed to carry additional ammo that cant fit into the Autoloader. this Ammo storage cannot be accessed internally however so the crew must get out of the tank and remove ammo form the box to put them back inside the autoloader. There is also additional aluminum plating around the autoloader Ammo storage and Kevlar cloth placed around the interior of the Crew compartment both to stop spalling. While the Shtora Jammers were removed, the Turret is still fitted with several Laser Warning receivers to warn the crew when the tank is being marked by a laser, and will automatically turn the turret in the direction and deploy smoke.
Improved Fire Control System(AKA the ability to find, identify, and shoot stuff). The T-90M should be in possession of 3rd Generation thermal sights for the Gunner and unlike many Russian tanks, a 360 degree panoramic 3rd generation thermal imager for the tank Commander. This allows the Commander to scan for and identify targets even at night and then either have the gunner shoot or take control of the turret himself if he needs too. This represents a big step up for Russia as many of their tanks feature only small optics with no thermals for their commanders to view through. Attached to the commanders optic is also a remote controlled Machine gun, which in Russian service has always been the Kord Heavy machine gun(same found on most Russian T series tanks).
Slightly Improved Mobility despite the increase in weight. Previously the original T-90A weighed in at about 46 tones, and possessed a 1000 HP engine, giving it a power to weight ratio of about 21.5, while the new T-90M has a 1'130 HP engine, same as on the Modernized T-72B3, giving it a power to weight ratio of 23.5
Variants: Currently there's just one version of the T-90M in service with Russia, However there is the T-90MS, which is the export version of the T-90M. The T-90MS is almost identical to the Russian version, however in pictures it is often sporting a 7.7mm machine gun for the commanders station instead of the Kord found on Russian tanks, is usually dressed in a desert camo, and also seems to lack the ERA above the tracks on the front for whatever reason.
Overview: In simple terms the T-90M is more or less a large upgrade based on the original T-90A(which some might say is just an upgraded T-72B 1989) and in terms of how it stack to the rest of its Russian contemporaries that are also in service, its easy to say this is currently the best Tank in service with the Russian Federation, given its overall package. Does this tank fix the glaring Issues found on all Soviet and Russian tanks? Absolutely not, the autoloader ammo rack underneath the turret is still the biggest threat to crew safety if struck, The reverse gear is still a terrible -3MpH in reverse, and it still lacks decent gun depression, meaning that when it fights on a slope, it will often have to drive over an incline to be able to get its gun on target. Overall Id say the T-90M is a solid tank, but still suffers form its soviet flaws.

Oh god, so now people are actively denying the War in Ukraine because “they don’t show footage of it”
Tumblr media
I thought it was a troll, but then I began to read people supporting him, with this comic getting posted
Tumblr media
And alright, I get it, many Americans hate to see their government spend money on foreign wars, something they’ve been doing for decades now, but there’s no need to go full denier like this, it just makes you and your point seem incredibly Gamer Word(TM).
I mean for fuck’s sake, one of the most famous tank battle videos of all time, the Bradleys vs a T-90M, came out just a few months ago!
Tumblr media
Memes were made and everything!

Okay, I have a thoroughly evil scenario for you.
You are a defense minister. Your country has inherited some Leopard 2A4s from the previous authoritarian regime, who inherited them from the people before them. Yay, Leopards, right?
However, the soldiers of the previous two regimes did not treat the tanks well, so they alresdy had many issues, and the last guys attempted active sabotage on the way out, damaging their key components and supporting infrastructure such that: to repair the broken components would be too costly and the infrastructure does not exist anymore, but replacing the tanks would be even costlier. Both options are not on the table.
Furthermore, your country is still under international sanctions and arms embargoes for crimes that may or may not have been committed by the new regime (in the process of deposing the old regime) and/or the old regime (in the process of maintaining power).
You cannot source new Leopard parts or entire new tanks, as the Germans will not trade with you.
You can only access the same contacts as the previous regime had (Russia, Iran, North Korea, Syria, etc). They will be happy to sell you their domestic tank components to fix your tanks. But getting new tanks from them is also out of your price range.
Assuming all key components (engine, sensors, gun, transmission, etc) save the armor itself (which is intact) will be replaced...
What do you use to desecrate your Leopards, in order to bring them to functioning state and have be the best actual tanks they can be again?
Why. What did I do to you? Was I not a good tankman?
Fine. Fine. I've prayed to Percy Hobart for strength, and I've assembled my list. Here we go.
Gun: 2A46M-5 125mm smoothbore out of the T-90M and T80BVM
Engine: V-92S2-F, from the T-90M
Transmission: the 5-speed in the T-80BVM
APS/ERA: Relikt ERA and Arena APS
Secondary armament: the remote weapons pod on the T90M
Sensors and C4I integration: T90M
Are you happy? Have you gotten your sick satisfaction?

on reduced speed mobile internet
it is not possible to set my expectations for this service BELOW "if I have 5 bars of 5g internet, google maps should function, albeit slowly"
because that is not currently true I must conclude that some form of fraud is happening, either my Internet is being fraudulently throttled as a punitive measure for being poor, or the ISP in question was never capable of serving internet to such a wide demographic and so Must reduce prices, increase efficiency, or lower average speeds as needed. i tend to lean towards the former situation rather than the latter.
i believe att is perfectly capable of making a profit serving full speed for $60 and 1/10th speed for $30 a month.
the current situation is more like 1/16th-1/1000th speed depending.
i cannot be made to expect that. those speeds are NONSENSICALLY low. those speeds fall beneath the current minimum speed limit of the Internet.
sites I am accessing are reasonably deciding that I must not actually HAVE Internet because 20kbps is such an otherwise inexplicably low number, what else could they assume.
they must assume I am having SEVERE Internet connectivity issues because what other situation would produce a ping of 90ms, upload speed of 3.3Mbps, and a download speed of 3.3kbps. those numbers do not make sense otherwise.
and so, given that I'm on a federal connectivity plan for the Explicit purpose of ensuring those in poverty have basic minimum functioning internet, it could be cleanly argued that cell phone companies like T-Mobile, att, etc, are meaningfully defrauding the United States government.
that is not a tenable position. policy must change, NOT my expectations

Smrtni izstrelek za ruske oklepnike, nuklearne počitnice na okupiranem Krimu
Napredovanje Ukrajincev v Bahmutu, ki še niso uporabili glavnih sil in poskusi protinapadov Rusov, a brez večjih uspehov, sta zaznamovala zadnje dni.

this might be a little depressing for transsexual thursday but erm.
i’ve been on T for about six months now and barely noticed any changes… (besides my voice) and i don’t feel happy like everyone else says they did :(
i’m not sure exactly what i’m asking for but… most of the people in my life wouldn’t understand i think so… i’m confessing to an internet stranger 😅
I think you should be honest with where you're at - changes can be slow-coming if you've just got those genes, and it's likely that your family who went through testosterone puberty have a similar experience. Sometimes, it hits you like a truck at 90m/ph, and sometimes, it can feel like a rollercoaster going up and up and up the tracks with no plateau or end in sight.
It's unfortunate that you can't always predict or expect all the changes that will happen to you, but it doesn't help to not be open with yourself in these stages of transition.

már a csapágyhiány is sújtja a ruszkikat
The lack of modern optics limits Russia's ability to produce new tanks and restore the old ones it lost in the war with Ukraine. But the Russian armored industry lacks not only optics - the Russians have a catastrophic lack of ball bearings, which they received from the US and Europe before the introduction of sanctions - Forbes.
Among other things, Russian military operations also depend on trains as a mode of transport, which also use a lot of ball bearings. So the Russians have a choice: build more tanks or let the rail system fall apart.
"Historically, Russia imported most of its high-quality bearings from Western manufacturers. For example, in 2020, it imported ball bearings worth more than $419 million, about 55% of which were produced in Europe and North America,” CSIS analysts note.
The situation changed after Kyiv's allies strengthened sanctions against Moscow's strategic industries in February 2022. The outlook for the tank industry remains grim.
A new T-72BM3 or T-90M tank requires modern optics, and these optics usually came from France, but Paris deprived Russia of the necessary components - digital sights.
It is even more difficult for Moscow to solve the problem of ball bearings. "Uralvagonzavod" and "Omsktransmash", as before, are at a dead end due to their lack.
According to experts, the Russian military needs at least 150 new or refurbished tanks per month just to maintain its advanced strength on the battlefield.
Given the choice between building fewer tanks or freezing transport infrastructure across Russia, Moscow did the smart thing and chose the former.
As a result, "Uralvagonzavod" and "Omsktransmash" ship every month only a few dozen modern tanks, or restored, removed from preservation.
That is why, from a technical point of view, the Russians "travel in time" and restore old T-62s of the 1960s and old T-55s of the 1950s, which are in warehouses.
