DEMO (tba) | CHARACTER PROFILES | GUIDE | NAVIGATION | PINTEREST | AUTHOR
Welcome to the Underworld...
Play as a deceased chef given the opportunity of an (after)lifetime in Hades' Kitchen. The story follows a cooking competition set in the Underworld from Greek myth. Hades' Kitchen is a character-driven interactive fiction story about rivalry and redemption.
Hades' Guide, a codex containing the lore bible and character database for both Hades' Kitchen and Neo Olympus (a second series that will take place in the same universe), is available here.
The demo release is currently tbd. The first season will consist of eight chapters: seven episodes + a prologue.
Content Warning: Hades' Kitchen, this blog, and its discord server are rated 16+ and the game will eventually have optional 18+ content. The game will contain swearing, alcohol and drug use, sexually suggestive content, light violence, and discussions about trauma, grief, terminal illness, and death.
Tumblr media
So you died - very sorry about that - but this doesn't have to be the end of your story. Since you're such a talented chef, we want to make you an offer. We can either send your soul to Asphodel now, or you can refuse to accept that dull fate and audition to become a chef for our royal family.
Now, this isn't a guaranteed position. You'll be competing against twelve others for one spot and it'll all be filmed for a TV show. I understand these shows are quite common in the Upperworld, so you're likely familiar with the concept. However, it'd be wise to expect the unexpected. We aren't limited by mortality, so we can afford to spice things up with magic and monsters and you'll probably be fine.
You could end up in Asphodel, but you might not. Each time someone's eliminated their fate is randomly reassigned. The longer you stick around, the higher your chances of getting sent somewhere better (...or worse).
If this sounds a bit overwhelming, remember you don't have to go through this alone! You'll have the crew, the judges, Adonis, and, of course, your fellow contestants. I've met them all and I can assure you, for the most part, they're lovely people. You may even recognize some from your mortal life.
So, what are you gonna do? Do you believe you can win? Will you risk your fate for a chance at something greater? What do you say?
Will you compete in Hades' Kitchen?

*Sell with your Heart*
If you are a salesman, I believe you have been told a billion times during your sales and distribution training days; sell benefits not features.
I sat in a Business Administration class in University for 4 years and for each of those years I was told sell benefits of your products to your customers not the features or what beautifies the product.
As students, we took this in hook, line and sinker.
But what if I tell you there is actually a new way you can sell anything without having to do much advertising and spending ridiculous budget on promotion.
Sell with your heart. Yes, you heard me. Sell with your heart. I know you will want to ask me what has a human heart got to do with sales and marketing or business for that matter....
Check out this story....
A man and his wife were cruising around South Central in Los Angeles one afternoon.
They went pass a car dealership shop and the man stopped immediately. The wife asked, honey, why have we stopped?
That's my friend Mark's shop. Imma let us stop for a few minutes just to say hi to him then we go.
But babe, before we step out of the car, we're not buying any of the trucks in the shop. Got it??? Yes I got it. The wife said. Naa, I'm serious about this honey, we're not buying anything, not even as much as to look at a truck. This bloke friend of mine can easily sell you anything. He can sell you a gasoline tank at the Staples Center during a Lakers game. I'm tight on a budget now. So don't make a truck sound once we step out.
Loud and clear lord commander got you. The wife jokingly remarked.
They went and sat by a wooden chair just close to an office and they were told Mark was on a conference call and will be with them shortly.
A few minutes later, Mark Greasley joined them. The wife was shocked he didn't look anything like a professional sales guy. No suit, no tie, just khaki shorts and white t-shirt. That's all.
Heey Tim, nice to see you buddy. It's been a while you know. I must tell you, I love what you guys are doing with autistic children in the hospital, your impact is catching on everywhere. Happy and excited that Mark knew about their autism project, they talked and talked all their plans away on autism.
Then Mark whose son also suffers from autism talked about how his son's struggles with autism led him and his team to design and make a truck to honour his son's bravery. He went on to talk about how his son's favourite colour mauve covers the design of the truck and the interior inspired by his favourite cartoon character Ben 10.
He then switched the conversation on friends and barbecue.
30 minutes later, Tim took his wife outside and told her, Liz, I think we're gonna buy this truck. Jesus! Tim, didn't you tell me at the parking lot we're not buying anything. Why now?? Liz, it will be a good statement for our autism project. Eeerm... yeah I agree too. They bought the truck a few moments after that.
Can I ask you a question here? What do you think Tim's friend Mark did here??
What made the couple buy the truck after they had both agreed not to look at any truck in the shop?
The answer lies in understanding a person's emotions and what appeals to them. Mark Greasley knew this trick so well so instead of telling them about engine capacity of the truck, its mileage and other technical benefits of the truck, he appealed rather to their senses and emotions with what the three of them commonly share together: Autism. And the joy of helping children in LA who suffer from it. Bingo!!!!
If you still don't get what I'm trying to teach you here, perhaps you will not also get why people all over the world always go crazy over iPhones and the latest apple products.
Even though they know it's super expensive.
The late Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple Inc. was a master marketing and advertising psychologist. If you can, go on YouTube and watch a video of his first ever presentation of iPod to the world. (About 7 minutes) or his first ever presentation on his company Apple in the 1980's.
Trust me, your selling game will never be the same.
Thank me later when you get this concept haha.

The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) is the public broadcaster in Ghana. It is funded by broadcasting television commercials and the levying of a television licence, costing 3 cedis (about
History[edit]
The broadcasting service was originally known as the Gold Coast Broadcasting System, introduced on 31 July 1935 by the colonial Governor, Sir Arnold Hodson,[2] before it was renamed to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation upon the country's independence in 1957. Throughout its history it has been independent of the government's Information Services Department.[3]
Establishment[edit]
Broadcasting began in Ghana on July 31, 1935 from a wired relay station opened in Accra. The brain behind the introduction of broadcasting into the country was the then Governor of the Gold Coast,Sir Arnold Hodson, affectionately known as the "Sunshine Governor".
He was ably assisted by a British radio engineer, Mr. F.A.W. Byron. By 17:00GMT on that historic day, gramophone records of martial and light music were relayed and at exactly 17:45GMT the voice of Sir Arnold Hodson came through to break the tension and the suspense with this explicit message:
“One of the main reasons for introducing the Relay Service is to bring News, Entertainment and Music into the homes of all and sundry. This will bring to an end the barriers of isolation and ignorance in the path of progress and also to enable the people of Gold Coast to improve on their very rich cultural music".[2]
Administration[edit]
The new broadcasting Service was code-named Radio "ZOY". It was manned by eight technicians and housed in a small bungalow on 9th Road near the Ridge Police Station in Accra. Broadcasting first begun in four Ghanaian languages, namely Fanti, Twi, Ga, Ewe, and later Hausa. Part-time staff were engaged to translate and announce the news in these languages until 1943 when full-time staff were appointed. Between 1946 and 1953, the organisation was administered by the Public Relation Department, now the Information Services Department.[2]

On attainment of independence in 1957, the Gold Coast was renamed Ghana and the GCBS became Ghana Broadcasting Service (GBS). The legislation that basically set up GBC as an establishment was National Liberation Council Degree number 226(NLCD266) of 1968.[2]
