random omegaverse thought:
There must be people who experience specific instinct things with indifference or boredom.
Procreative cycle coming up? "Crap, I've got plans this weekend...stupid skip weeks."
Caught an intriguing scent while walking? "But I need to get to work! Shut up brain."
Had a snap response to a distressed sound? "Who was it?! ...right, it's my day off, I can go back to sleep."
Somebody growled at them? "Kid, I'm not a rival, that's my sibling."
Super cozy cuddle session happening nearby? "I'm gonna pass tonight guys, no social battery left, maybe next time."
Group of friends heading out to flirt and check out other singles? "I'm coming with you but only to make sure you all get home safe."
Setting where fated mates or soul bonds or permanent marks are a thing? "Meh. I don't really want one or care if I ever get one."
People in the actual omegaverse would get as bored of their stuff, as we do of ours, you know? It could be interesting to see that kind of vibe in fics. Biological demands faced with all the excitement of paying bills or doing laundry or tying your shoes.
Even if that kind of energy might not drive a plot, it could be interesting to have as a contrast to the people who do have big feelings about them - good or bad.
There's the friends who can't wait til they have a pack of their own, and the one friend who isn't against it but couldn't care less. There's the group in the office who are all about scent compatibility tests and figuring out one's best match and what sprays most highlight it, and the coworker who has no intentions on putting that much effort in. There are parents who hover and protect their offspring by scenting them multiple times a day, and others who don't see what the fuss is as long as it's done in the morning.
...also: packs with introverts who show care by giving each other space. So often, closeness is depicted through physical touch and tactile affection, but comfortable silence is meaningful too. Knowing people are near, but not having to interact until you're ready. Sitting in the same room doing different things, knowing that all it takes is a "hey, look at this" to share what you're up to. People understanding and accepting each other's differing or fluctuating needs for how and when to recharge. Seeing somebody reaching out or sharing space, beyond what's their norm, as a signal of the fact that they care.

I think one of the main reasons why sdr2 is my fav is that the cast feels much more natural and united compared to the other groups
Like the thh cast has a very scattered feel to them, with people mostly being by themselves or in a very small group (and sometimes, the people in said groups aren't really that close). When I think of the groups in thh, the only ones that spring to mind that seem actually CLOSE is Sakura-Aoi, Mondo-Taka & Makoto-Kyoko
And V3 then has very clearly defined groups that mingle with each other and... not much outside of that. We have stuff like Tenko-Himiko-Angie, Miu-Kiibo and Shuichi-Maki-Kaito. Outside of groups, characters usually don't have very unique or meaningful dynamics or interactions
Sdr2 on the hand have very fleshed out relationships and dynamics with EVERYONE. Like, yeah of course there are still established groups like Sonia-Kazuichi-Gundham, Fuyuhiko-Peko and Akane-Nekomaru but even then those groups mesh and mingle well with the rest of the cast
In thh & V3 I find it hard to imagine unique and interesting interactions between a lot of the characters, but in sdr2 you could give me any combination of characters and I'd be able to imagine them interacting in a fun and interesting way
They're also the only class I could genuinely imagine all getting along and having fun together outside the killing game. But they're not all friends either, which makes the unison and feel of the cast more natural and fun! Hiyoko-Mikan aren't friends. Fuyuhiko-Mahiru aren't friends. But they still have meaningful and interesting dynamics with each other
Not only that, but even if you take each character seperately I genuinely like them all. Like, actively like them. Yes, even Teruteru and Hiyoko. I find each and every one of them compelling in their own way. I like Kazuichis well-meaning stupidity, I like Gundhams love of life, I like Ibukis cheery attitude, I like Mikans care for others, I like Pekos devotion. I enjoy them all
I don't have a good way to end this just. sdr2 cast my beloveds

also after careful deliberation ive come to the conclusion i was right the first time and transandrophobia isnt real. because even if the male part of your identity is being attacked, androphobia cannot be a thing. you're experiencing transphobia.
and if you want to get a focus on transandrophobia to the point where it's taken seriously, take transmisogyny seriously. because everyone ive seen claim to experience transandrophobia is a transmisogynist.

you've said a few times Titan is pretty homophobic, and I'm curious how she feels about Ruth.
did her opinion change any over the years since Goliath died?
what would she do if Ruth ever said she loved her?
how's she feel abt trans people
some of her bigotry is directed inwards and manifests more as self-hatred. she herself isn’t heterosexual and has a lot of complicated feelings about that, especially after goliath’s affair. i make jokes, but ruth is very openly a proud lesbian and doesn’t tolerate off-handed comments from titan (she’s probably one of the reasons hercules doesn’t hate himself more).
her queerphobia expresses itself outwardly as ignorant rather than hateful, and its something she doesn’t really consider until ruth points out her shitty behaviour. ruth is very lenient on a lot of things she probably shouldn’t be and cuts titan more slack than she deserves but she doesn’t stand for titan’s homophobia, especially around kids.
alot of her attitudes towards gay and trans people fluctuate and change alot along with the story so it would really depend on where in the timeline you put her.
tldr; its complicated.
