Someone should write a crossover between The Talented Mr Ripley and Good Will Hunting, I'm honestly surprised no fic like that exists yet.

Will wouldn't take shit from Dickie and he'd enjoy making fun of all these rich people the same way he did with his psychiatrists, why use a boat paddle to hurt someone when you can just psychoanalyse them to scare them off lol

Then he meets Peter who really sees and understands him and altogether makes him want to become a better person.

Eventually, he opens up to Peter and tells him about the things he went through in foster care, something he never talked about with anyone. Bonus if his foster father was also homophobic and Peter helps him come to terms with his sexuality.

Where is this coming from you ask? Did you see the scene where Skylar cuddles with Will and how relaxed he looked?? Now think of the scene where Peter lays in bed in the ending. Together you have two cute vulnerable boys cuddling and I just can't say no to that.

Also can I just say the way Matt Damon cries when Sean tells him it wasn't his fault sounds the same as when he kills Peter in Mr Ripley?? I'll take that as proof he did care for Peter and broke his own heart in the end (even if he didn't have much of a choice at that point).

Movie Tom Ripley was not a psychopath, I stand by that.

A shame both of these fandoms are dead, but what do you expect from a nineties movie?
