Don’t mind me just having my weekly cry thinking about Lucien wrapping Solstice gifts for everyone when he knows he won’t get one in return.

Like just imagine him sitting on the floor with scissors and tape making sure the creases are perfect and tying little bows on top 😭

ACOSF, except that Nesta refuses to move to the House of Wind and packs her bags to leave to the "human lands", but instead of actually going there, she stops at the Spring Court and kinda forces Tamlin to take her in. After all, Spring is close enough to the human lands and she's sure none of the IC would look for her Spring.

She and Tamlin clash at first, but then Nesta tells him that Feyre wanted to lock her in the House of Wind for "her own good" and Tamlin has to take a walk outside the house to not break anything because what the fuck? Those people haven't forgiven him for locking Feyre up to protect her and make him miserable because of it, but suddenly it's okay when they do it? Unbelievable.

They drink together and bond over the Night Court's hypocrisy, how they were treated by them, and Feyre. They start living together. Tamlin plays the music and Nesta dances to it. They spend time in silence in his library or taking relaxing strolls around the garden. Nesta does more healing there that she could've done in the House of Wind. Eventually, she and Tamlin become good friends.

Oh, and she meets Eris again and they actually get to know each other outside the Night Court's machinations. They have a slowburn romance and get married eventually, turning Nesta into the High Lady of Autumn. She helps Tamlin rebuild his court and strikes an alliance between both courts, and she thrives with positive relationships and a man that genuinely loves her and doesn't try to change her.

Also Lucien makes up with Tamlin and returns to Spring, adding him to Nesta's friendship circle.

It’s wild to me that I have seen takes about how Tamlin should have stopped his father and brothers from killing Rhysand’s mother and sister as if he isn’t 14-15 (maybe 16) years old at the time. He is a child, especially for a species that lives forever! His older brothers were willing to kill Tamlin just for expressing an interest in being High Lord and we know his father was something nasty. What young teen is going to be able to go against a group of family, especially ones that have tormented him? He’s out numbered and terrified of them.

Tamlin is incredibly powerful, but I remember something in ACOTAR about him keeping his full abilities on the down-low to avoid provoking his brothers and father. He was so scared of his family that he tried to hide his incredible strength from them. How terrifying would it be to watch your friend’s family be killed at the hands of your own father and brothers and think you can’t do anything or they’ll kill you too. Tamlin doesn’t believe in himself, he thinks he’s nothing more than a killer, and so yeah! Of course this traumatized child would be unable to do anything.

(Plus we don’t even know what happened while Rhysand’s mother and sister were killed. Tamlin very well could have been dragged along or forced to watch.)

Fast forward Acosf where pregnant feyre was told not to shapeshift by a non-shapeshifter medic and Rhysand being too proud to ask for help by the only other known shapeshifter within the series who feyre got her powers from about it

Why do I truly believe Tamlin would not have hidden the pregnancy risk from Feyre just because Tamlin has always, always, put HER own safety first?

Feyre’s life (dooming his people) >>> saving Prythian from Amarantha

Feyre’s life (choosing to lock her up well aware that it would probably make her hate him)>>> letting her come with him to a dangerous trap to please her

Feyre’s life (making a deal with the most despicable being in the world just to save her from the clasps of a daemati psychopath) >>> letting her stay with Rhysand and do nothing.

Feyre (blowing his cover and risking his life) >>> saving his double spy cover in the Hybern camp

This man has a track record of putting her safety first, ALWAYS.

He would have told her. He would have told her because he would have tried to convince her to risk the baby’s life but save hers. I don’t have proof obviously, just a hunch. Call it a headcanon if you will.

So I actually just found out that Tamlin did end up breaking the bargain that Rhysand forced Feyre to make. I never knew that and it’s breaking my heart that he did keep his promise. He told her he’ll figure out a way, that he’d free her, that she give him time. He kept his promise. He always keeps his promises. I don’t know where I’m going with this but this is making me insanely emotional. He freed her from the fucked up deal Rhysand made with her, and yet somehow he’s the villian to her. Feyre and this fandom do not deserve this man.

Also Feyre: If you try and break my mating bond, I'm going to ruin your life.

Also Feyre: If you drag me back to Spring against my will, I'll destroy everything you love.

Tamlin: Break her mating bond so I can drag her back to Spring and we can start over.

Also Tamlin: I can't believe you destroyed everything I love and ruined my life!

Ngl today alone I have seen countless men who could easily play Rhysand if they were given violet contacts and bat wings.

In my entire period of living I have seen maybe one or two people that could MAYBE pass for Tamlin if they had makeup on.

I have never, ever in my life passed a man on the street who could play Lucien or Eris Vanserra.
