You all moved on from Chu Zu so fast, I am a very slow reader! 😭 I finally finished the first world and I want to know if anyone else thought Tangqi was a very interesting OG!Protagonist? The way they deconstructed him from the idealistic leader into this ruthless man willing to burn whoever he needed to just to reach his vision — just wow. Everyone was so complex and selfish and compelling. The anon who said it was full of tension was right, I was on the edge of my seat!! 😭😭🙏I do wish there was a little more time spent on that one noble(?) who was added near the end, the one Chu Zu apparently saved(?) I didn’t really understand his motivations, but I could’ve easily read a few more chapters of people being obsessed with Chu Zu. Was it obsession? It feels like every single character was a foil in some way, revolving around his actions, because Chu Zu was so incredibly magnetic.
I didn't end up rereading it. 😅 Anyone else?

TMOPB, the REAL REASON for the Mo Yuan x Bai Qian shipping!! (I ship it and write fanfics for it too and I ain’t never gonna stop!)
It must be said: Even without watching the "Once Upon A Time"/TMOPB movie, it is called THREE LIVES THREE WORLDS TEN MILES OF PEACH BLOSSOMS. Where was Ye Hua at the start? A useless spector? A golden Lotus? How did this impact Bai Qian at all? :l It makes more sense that they ARE THE SAME PERSON. Mo Yuan dies and Bai Qian preserves his body, enter the JOINED HEAVENLY TRAIL. You heard me. It would have made the story BETTER if they shared their trial together. In their first "lives" they cared deeply for each other but it didn't go deep enough/or it wasn't shared xD pick. In the second life Mo Yuan was reincarnated as Ye Hua(like Dong Hua was reincarnated into a human for his "trial" *COUGH* I swear Dong Hua was Wen Chang in that world xD Feng Jiu's destined love already happened? Anyway...) while Bai Qian's powers were sealed and she became human for her trial(HER  high god trial, HIS trial for resurection/doesn't it just make more sense that Ye Hua ultimately gives Mo Yuan cultivation? Just Me?)In this second life, this is where they fall in love without the burdens of their past lives holding them back, ultimately, it ends in tragedy...both because Su Su dies, and because Ye Hua ends up dying THE SAME WAY AS Mo Yuan! OMG. Honestly, the whole twin thing is soooo cliche! Mo Yuan SHOULD have woken up AFTER Ye Hua's death, WITH his memories of his trial, and THEN Bai Qian should have remembered everything, and from there they could have started the third lifetime together, the...HAPPY ENDING. A-Li ofc, wouldn't be entirely abandoned, but he wouldn't be exactly their son, the same way Ye Hua wasn't exactly Hao De's biological grandson, but HE could be names the new crown prince that HEAVEN orcastrated by making Mo Yuan and Bai Qian go through their trials, the price for their lives together from Heaven could have been to create the TRUE crown prince of Heaven, who is, also, biologically conected to Heavenly Father, Mo Yuan/Ye Hua's father.
Normally I would just let it go, but this funny video I saw made me need to justify us shippers. :3 Also...I think the video maker doesn’t understand Mo Yuan’s character at when making this video. Sad! But honestly, Mo Yuan would have fought tooth and nail for her. Mo Yuan says he isn’t afraid what people think because he is mature, not childish of privlidged :l Ye Hua cared way too much what people think. Mo Yua would have said he loved Su Su just like that and he would have fought for her against all odds(at worst case senario he would die WITH HER like how Bai Qian wanted to live or die with HIM)...Ye Hua...to me he was like the Mo Yuan before he became the god of war.
Also, I do know about Bodhe Fate(Mo Yuan and Shao Wan’s story) and because I like this pairing I’m sticking to it. xD I don’t dislike Shao Wan, and I still support the author, but I can never see him with anyone else. Perhaps this story can be of the past before Shao Wan died, then I can accept it, but not as a present/future pairing. It would be awesome if maybe Bai Qian was a reincarnation of Shao Wan too, but Dong Hua said immortals don’t reincarnate...ofc he could be wrong. He reincarnated as a human, Mo Yuan SHOULD have reincarnated as Ye Hua...*sigh* thinking about what could have been is like enjoying your favorite food dish and realizing when it's too late to change anything that you forgot a good ingredient that would have made it better.

The product of plagiarism: Ten miles of peach blossoms - Tang Qi Gong Zi.
Hello friends,
I have no idea if you guys have ever heard about the Chinese film called “Three lifetimes - Ten miles of peach blossom”(?) or something like that. But if you do, please think carefully before you buy a ticket.
You can search #‎三生三世十里桃花抄袭 or “tang qi plagiarism” for more information.
Here’s something you need to know about that movie in a nutshell:
- Back in 2007, a famous BL-novel author “Windy” (Da Fung Gui Wo - 大风刮过) wrote a book called “Peach Blossom Debt” (桃花债).
- After that “Tang Qi” (T7 - 唐七) committed plagiarism, use “Windy” work and passed it off as her own! “Tang Qi” named it “三生三世十里桃花” (Three lifetimes: Ten miles of peach blossoms). Besides, “Tang Qi” has stole ideas from many more BL-novel authors, not only “Windy”: especially “Joyful” (公子欢喜).
- Base on comparisons between “Peach Blossom Debt” and “Three lifetimes”, you can see they are really similar - up to 70% (the comparison is illustrated in the link down below). The only difference is: “Three lifetimes” is NOT a BL-novel, is BxG (shoujo) one. That makes a big difference.
The Chinese government does not like homosexual, BL-novels are technically illegal in China. That’s the first reason why “Three lifetimes” is a plagiarized work but still getting more popular. “Windy” CAN NOT sue the thief, because the judge won’t support her… Plus, “Windy” is quite timid so she just don’t want to fight.
- In fact, “Tang Qi” has a group of professionals with connections that backs her up. That explains why she can't be sue and got famous so fast.
“Tang Qi” has a terrible personality, she even mocked “Windy”: “My book is already published, what about yours? Oh, they weren’t? Do you need help from me?” “Plagiarize, plagiarize my ass.”
~Wrote by mydramalist/fudanshidesu: “The original novel is BL-themed. Needless to say, BL-themed stuff is low-profile and pretty much illegal (read underground) in China. Knowing DaFeng would have a hard time fighting the establishment, Tang Qi took DaFeng’s novel and rewrote it. She replaced homosexual characters with heterosexual characters to cater to mainstream audience… added a little spice here and there and voila! TangQi’s very own novel was born.
There’s more to the story…
Tang Qi was bold, she even made fake accounts to talk about her novels on Da Feng’s pages, she posted sh*t in the comment sections under Da Feng’s novels… Girl basically went gaga!
When people found out what TangQi was doing, things got ugly and our anti-hero, Tang Qi, decided to go full scale war. She created an account pretending to be Da Feng… Blah blah blah… Long story short, her actions harmed Da Feng’s reputation.
Today, Tang Qi is a well-known “writer” in Mainland China. So, we know the truth now! She’s a thief, who feeds and lives off of other people’s creativity, their time and effort.
If you decide to read the book/watch “Eternal Love”, please keep the above in mind and give proper credits to DaFeng, the real mind behind the story.”
- After all, “Windy” told her fans: “She (Tang Qi) did not write the story on her own but she’s still more famous than me. That’s because I’m not good enough.” – Said the author who has best-selling BL-novels, why??
It’s a long story since 2008… Hundreds of famous authors, artists, cosplayer, composer,… shared Windy’s article and boycotted “Tang Qi”; Many people hashtagged #一起来撕抄袭书, torn off “Three lifetimes” to make “Tang Qi” see their anger: http://www.weibo.com/p/100808ee2c9c99efe1425beac07329883de84f?k=%25E4%25B8%2580%25E8%25B5%25B7%25E6%259D%25A5%25E6%2592%2595%25E6%258A%2584%25E8%25A2%25AD%25E4%25B9%25A6&from=526&_from_=huati_topic.
- BUT HERE’S THE WORST PART. In 2015, they started to make “Three lifetimes” into a TV drama and movie, afraid of “Tang Qi” plagiarism responsible for low profits, that film crew bought off Weibo’s staffs, ERASED all the hashtags, articles, images,… that accused “Tang Qi” and “Three lifetimes” of stealing ideas from the search bar, to keep a lid on her plagiarism…
This is wrong. The true artist cannot gain anything, even lost her right just because she wrote a BL-novel. Are ONLY heterosexual loves beautiful, o-kay, worthy? But same-sex loves should be hidden away, ruined like that?
And what about the true talented authors, who went with their guts on their works?
- “Tang Qi” not only plagiarized BL-novel authors once but more than 5! And 2 of them had been made into film in Mainland Chinese… If the film crew hadn’t had bought off Weibo, “Three lifetimes” wouldn’t have been this popular, I believe so.
- So, if that movie will be in your area, please consider before buying the ticket!

(1) The comparison between “Peach Blossom Debt” and “Three Lifetimes”:

In English (short version): https://hamster428.wordpress.com/2015/07/09/plagiarism-allegations-against-tqgz/
(2) Even its drama poster, OST, and “book” cover is plagiarized too:

http://m.weibo.cn/1875808141/4081929105563790
(3) Tang Qi has published some books, and 3 of them have been accused of plagiarism, but still being printed. Why? Because BL-novel authors can’t sue her!
More than 30 Tang Qi’s “characters” are the copy-cat of characters made by Joyful. Such as one of Tang Qi’s main male character who is in purple and silver hair→ it is EXACTLY THE SAME as Joyful’s character whose name 勖扬天君.
(4) Faking accounts, cyberbullying, back-stabbing,... Read more about filthy tricks Tang Qi has done here: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10203680700097895&id=273489969522688

May I ask whether u enjoy reading the novels by MXTX? Im sorry if this was asked before!
No it hasn’t been asked before, and the only MXTX novel I managed to finish was SVSSS, and I kind of enjoyed its plot. the writing style was … uh, my head hurts. I tried to read MDZS and TGCF, could finish neither.
She’s one of those writers I’d come back to in a few years when she’s matured a bit, I think.

2020: the year i discovered kdramas + cdramas  aka i love it here
Tumblr media
winter’s tiny list of asian dramas i’ve watched plus what i’m looking forward to seeing next
[ made this after getting requests to share what shows i like and what i’m looking forward to ]
1/ eternal love of dream { three lives three worlds }
based on the novel by tangqi gongzi, the sequel to a 2017 drama: eternal love, elod is a historical fantasy cdrama and my introduction to the world of asian dramas. within two episodes i knew this was my jam. i’m forever a sucker for long haired ancient gods who are emotionally a box of rocks and the sweet fiery tiny beans who love them regardless. 10/10
2/ the king: eternal monarch
this 2020 drama is a modern romantic fantasy - my introduction to kdramas and though it had some very minor elements i wasn’t so fond of the main love story was solid gold. plus the subtext between the king and his eternally facepalming body guard was gold star level content. aside from that i always know i’m going to love a story when i enjoy the villain, and he was awesome. also: five words - lee min-ho + sword fighting... you’re welcome. 9/10
3/ the untamed
a 2019 cdrama adapted from the xianxia novel mo dao zu Shi by mo xiang tong xiu. following the adventures of two soulmate cultivators who solve a series of mysteries but it this is so, so much more than that. i loved this. literally the only reason i didn’t create art for this was because the existing fan art is seriously on another level - utter perfection. also the soundtrack is solid gold. lastly: wei wuxian is goals™. 10/10
4/ it’s okay to not be okay
a modern romantic kdrama from 2020 that hit me right in the emotions. this story between two individuals who end up healing each others emotional and psychological wounds made me tear up at times no lie. the visual imagery and layers of subtext in this is just *chefs kiss*. seo ye-ji is a queen that is all. 9/10
5/ legend of the blue sea
a kdrama from 2017 following the love story of a con-artist and a mermaid. inspired by a classic joseon legend from korea's unofficial historical tales about a fisherman who captures and releases a mermaid. i enjoyed parts of this story more than others. 7/10
6/ flower of evil
this kdrama got me hooked from the first episode. a psychological thriller involving a man who hides his cruel past identity from his wife a detective, this story drags you in and doesn’t let go. lee joon-gi’s portrayal of a villain and father is on another level and i am here for it. despite the plot holes in some areas this for me is a solid tale and while i haven’t seen the finale yet but regardless i love this story. 9/10
7/ goblin { the lonely and great god }
so i recently discovered the south korean actor lee dong-wook and i am a big fan - the main plot of this 2017 kdrama involves a military general from the goryeo dynasty who’s framed as a traitor and killed. cursed to stay immortal enduring the pain of seeing his loved ones die as punishment for the acts he committed. i highly recommend this to anyone wanting to start kdramas it’s a nuanced deeply moving story about love and loss. but i will be very honest here i stayed for a certain grim reaper [ lee dong-wook ] his character was my fav not going to lie. 9/10
8/ strangers from hell
a horror suspense 2019 kdrama this story based on the webtoon series of the same name by kim yong-ki - an eerily odd drama that i absolutely adored. the whole cast is incredible but lee dong-wook’s acting in this is just. so. good. he makes a formidably believable villain. his character is an unreadable, creepy somehow still weirdly charming dentist and this drama is what made me really go and track down everything he’s acted in -- yes i have become that fan who never shuts up i’m sorry ok. 10/10
..
and finally the one kdrama i’m impatiently waiting for:
tale of the nine tailed
a kdrama set to air in october 2020 this story stars my new absolute fav, lee dong-wook. a fantasy drama about a kumiho [ gumiho ] mythical nine-tailed fox  who settles in the city. there seems to be a half-brother involved, a very special sword, claws and glowing eyes, cheekbones you could cut yourself on and of course the love interest ...have i mentioned how excited i am for this one. because I AM
