Some of you may be trying to juggle life, career, or relationships, especially after an unexpected change. P3, after a long and challenging time, the world is officially undergoing a shift. And that’s thanks to y’all doing your part P3. Children of the Sun are suspected of being highly intuitive and gifted, but often are treated in a not so nice way on their journeys. Some of you may need to heal your inner child from trauma, and some of you may be expecting or will be expecting soon, and it could be a Child of the Sun. To help bring these intuitive children into the world to nurture and guide. Also, some of you who have trouble upholding your boundaries are a bit of a people pleaser and this is causing you to pour salt in your wounds, while adding on more. You’re not meant to be everyone’s cup of tea. You’re not meant to please everyone. The person you should be concerned with pleasing is yourself. Stop giving away your power. It’s time to step into your role and be a visionary for the planet. You decide what you believe… what you follow . And the decisions you make today could affect the wellbeing of the planet and its species, so it’s important that you get a different perspective than the one you’ve had. It’s time to open your mind and dream a new world. Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. It takes alot of courage to take the path you’re being called to take vs the easier one. ok i admit i dont really go for urban fantasy and the combat/fighting scenes in it were rough and i thought some of the plot was dumb but the first book in the tarot sequence got me??? like a solid 3.5/5 which given my innate distaste for UF is p damn high. it's about the RELATIONSHIPS. the rune-brand brother bond and how they understand each other and love each other and fight and cuss each other out and care so deeply and apologize and work around each other's trauma and triggers. addam's priority always being his brother. THE TERRIBLE DELIGHTFUL TEENS MAX AND QUINN. whatever the fuck is going on with ciaran i adore him. the 20+ yr recovery arc. the magic system with the sigils and courts based on the major arcana. the INSANE amount of plot bombs dropped in the book 1 epilogue. everyone is so traumatized and yet they get up and they try. ive only had max for a day and a half etc etc etc

like. it is dark and heavy and holy holy shit content warnings abound i would not actually /recommend/ it to most ppl because of that, but it's not grimdark. terrible unspeakable things happen and keep happening and yet there is tentative hope of ending the cycle or at least saving a few kids and building a home and there's love and accidental child acquisition and idk ik ive been real tired lately and it's no masterpiece. but it hit in some kind of way i wasnt expecting it to

how the cypher screwed himself over and why pip is the best: an analysis of phillipa le fay as 'the star'

Aka I'm having Thoughts about ghost wax in the middle of the night again and now it's time for me to be unhinged in a long post about the symbolism of the cypher calling pip a star

The first time she's referred to as a star is, as far as I know, episode 24, where the cypher says she has "star qualities" shortly after he yoinks charli. The next occurrence is in 29, where her description on the cyphers vhs tape is "a star in the making". He calls her some version of 'star' or 'stargirl' at the end of episode 42 and at least thrice throughout episode 43, with at least one of those being through Noah

According to https://www.thetarotguide.com/the-star/ , the star tarot card means hope for the future, to trust that the universe has a plan for you, spiritual connection, and means a period of stability following the Tower card, which itself apparently means chaos/destruction/trauma/etc

To the cypher, it means that pip will be instrumental in helping him get into the real world (hope for the future), convincing her that she will have a more pleasant time in his realm where she has a better support system than in the real world (projecting stability following trauma such as the argument with luca and may's death, with his own stability as getting into the real world after getting excised at the field office as his tower card), and also the cyphers entire thing is about human connection so that's another little way of connecting them.

However. It's not just meaningful to the cypher.

After pip lies her way out of the cyphers dreamscape, she says "Mr Media was right. I'm a god damn star."

To her, it means she's able to escape the cyphers dreamscape (hope for the future and maybe a bit of cosmic plan), and the period of stability (before Charlie happens at least) is getting out with a perfect anchor for the banishing following the trauma of getting suddenly yanked into the dreamscape without knowing whether the cypher would just consume her if she directly tried to escape.

And the connection aspect? The connection is that she won't betray the people she knows and cares about in the real world, even for the versions in the cyphers realm who are more involved in her life and who seem to care about her more.

She's going back to her nerdy little brother and her necromancer grandpa, god damn it, even if she has to lie directly to a glorious' face.

Also the fact that she successfully lied to escape is real interesting to me. Mr Media himself points out in ep 24 that she has "star qualities, and you're a selfish liar to boot!". And in 43, CC says "we're connected here pip. you can't lie to me."

The cypher is well aware that she's an actress, so was it just hubris on his part?

What's your opinion on online tarot card shuffle or generator?

Do you have a preferred one if you have any?

I don't take them super seriously. I used to find The Glastonbury Tarot reliable though, before they changed something on the web, now I still use it but I'm not as sure about the reliability as before.

Randomised or not?

The problem with online tarot card shuffle is you don't know if the card is pulled based on your choice, or if it is entirely computer generated. Sure, online tarot card shuffle by nature relies on the computer to give you the cards, but how was the computer programmed to do it- is the question here. Most websites allow you to 'choose' or click on the cards you want and then they appear as certain cards, for example Temperance or The Fool.

But when you consider the programming side of it, it is possible that they make it so random cards appear for random visitors (or other variables). Let's say, for Visitor Number 6125, the web would randomly generate three tarot cards automatically, a.k.a the process happened the moment you entered their webpage. If this was the case, regardless of the cards you clicked on, you would still get those predetermined three cards for that web's 6125th visit, but the web made it seem like you chose those cards. If the web chose Temperance, The Fool and The Emperor for Visitor 6125, and you were Visitor 6125, regardless which card you clicked on, you would still get those three cards. It's a random generator, it doesn't depend on your choice. So you 'choosing' three cards from the spread on your screen actually contributed nothing to the result.

Some people still choose to use it because they believe in meaningful coincidence. So if the random generator gives them The Emperor, they think they are meant to get The Emperor and they find meaning in it. The answer is significant to them regardless of the process of generating that answer. To each their own.

The Glastonbury Tarot

The reason why I used Glastonbury Tarot a lot back then is because the cards they laid out on the screen actually represented specific cards. I could get the same tarot card when I clicked on the same card I previously clicked on. The card arrangement didn't change for that round, all I had to do was click the 'back' button to get the same card arrangement. It would only change or reshuffle if you refreshed the page or you close the tab. So if I clicked on a card that is placed on the top right corner and got The Emperor, and I went back to the spread page and clicked on the same card again, The Emperor would appear again. If I clicked on another card, let's say the card on the bottom left corner, another card appeared. But if I clicked again on the top right corner card, The Emperor would appear again. So basically this shows that the cards had their own positions in that arrangement, how they programmed it I don't know, but The Emperor was on the top right corner in that particular round. When they laid the cards out this way, I could use my intuition to pick the cards that answered my question, because it worked similarly to seeing tarot cards in front of you.

The reason why I'm not sure about Glastonbury Tarot nowadays is because they have started making the web automatically refresh itself (reshuffle the cards) when you click on the 'back' button. So if I clicked on a card that is placed on the top right corner and got The Emperor, and I click the 'back' button and click on the top right corner card, I will not get The Emperor again, because they 'shuffle' the cards when I click the 'back' button. So I don't know if the cards have their own positions in the arrangement in a particular round, or if it has become a random generator. I don't know if the card I click on the first time is actually me choosing The Emperor and not something that is given to me randomly regardless what I choose.
