CECyTE Querétaro y Tata Consultancy Services colaboran para la agenda 2030

El Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos del Estado de Querétaro (CECyTEQ) y Tata Consultancy Services presentaron de manera virtual proyectos enfocados a resolver los objetivos establecidos por la Organización de las Naciones Unidad (ONU) para el desarrollo sustentable de las comunidades internacionales con miras a la agenda 2030. Con la participación de 120 estudiantes divididos en dos grupos de exposición, correspondientes a las sesiones matutina y vespertina, por turnos se mostraron  proyectos de tinte tecnológico desarrollados a partir de habilidades de programación y pensamiento de diseño. Dichos proyectos tuvieron un proceso de gestión y desarrollo de una semana para alcanzar la fase final de exposición, la cuál fue transmitida en vivo a través de exposiciones virtuales.

Durante las exposiciones se contó con la presencia de jurados evaluadores de TCS GoIT y del director general del CECyTE Querétaro, Luis Fernando Pantoja Amaro, quien en su intervención agradeció la disposición para realizar esta alianza entre la institución educativa y la empresa del sector privado, con una meta en común: impulsar la creatividad, activismo y desarrollo de habilidades de los estudiantes del colegio, a quienes también felicitó por el empeño y tenacidad demostrada en sus exposiciones. En su oportunidad, el  director académico del colegio, Ranferi Peñaloza Duarte, destacó la satisfacción que representa para la comunidad que conforma el CECyTEQ atestiguar que tanto docentes, como estudiantes ponen de manifiesto una actitud innovadora, propositiva, de desarrollo intelectual y de capacidades. El evento virtual cerró con la premiación de los mejores proyectos; para la sesión matutina el primer lugar fue para el equipo Magenta del plantel La Esperanza; el 2do lugar fue para el equipo Blanco también del plantel La Esperanza, y el 3er lugar lo obtuvo el equipo Turquesa del plantel San Juan del Río.

TCS Q1 Results: TCS reports 29% rise in Q1 net profit at Rs 9,008 crore | India Business News - Net4News

NEW DELHI: The country's largest software exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday posted a 28.5 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit for the first quarter (Q1) ended June 2021, powered by higher demand from businesses ramping up digital services during the Covid-19 crisis. TCS reported a net profit of Rs 9,008 crore in the period under consideration as against a profit of Rs 7,008 crore in Q1 of last fiscal. In terms of quarter-on-quarter basis, the IT major's profit fell by 2.5 per cent from Rs 9,246 crore posted in the March quarter. The company's consolidated revenue from operations also jumped 18.5 per cent to Rs 45,411 crore. Shares of TCS closed 0.56 per cent lower at Rs 3,257.1 on the BSE, while it settled 0.67 per cent lower at Rs 3,253 on the NSE. Source link Read the full article

Tata Consultancy Services abre 4ta oficina en Querétaro

El titular de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Sustentable (SEDESU), Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, inauguró las instalaciones de la 4ta oficina de la empresa Tata Consultancy Services en Querétaro, misma que aporta 500 nuevos empleos con una proyección de mil 200, para el sector tecnologías de la información. Tata Group es una empresa del mercado de servicios globales de Tecnologías de la Información (TI), brinda servicios a los sectores de retail, banca, seguros, salud y entretenimiento, mediante soporte técnico y asesorías, su sede se encuentra en India y se compone por 30 empresas que tienen operación en más de 100 países.

Durante su mensaje, el titular de la SEDESU destacó la generación de 500 nuevos empleos de alta especialización, perfiles que son encontrados en nuestro estado, día a día las universidades trabajan por tener estudiantes preparados para el mercado existente en Querétaro. “A nivel nacional las personas que desarrollan un trabajo relacionado con las tecnologías de la información representan 1.4 por ciento respecto al total de población ocupada, Querétaro supera la media nacional con el dos por ciento”, comentó. El funcionario estatal explicó que además de celebrar el crecimiento que ha tenido la empresa durante la última década "reconocemos que gracias a su experiencia de más de 50 años, se ha posicionado en el número 3 de las 10 principales empresas globales de servicios de Tecnologías de la Información."

Informó ante los presentes que en el estado, el sector TI está conformado por 150 empresas y 5 data center nivel 5 que dan empleo a 18 mil queretanos, de octubre 2015 a noviembre 2019 se han concretado 15 proyectos por un monto de inversión de mil 185 millones 826 mil pesos, mismos que representan la generación de 3 mil 600 empleos de alta especialización. Del Prete Tercero, indicó que en el marco del modelo de la triple hélice, hemos desarrollado diferentes proyectos de TI en la entidad, como el Consorcio de Manufactura Aditiva en conjunto con CIDESI, GE, CINVESTAV y CIATEQ; el Laboratorio de tecnologías cuánticas para las comunicaciones y el Centro Regional de Productividad 4.0. Estuvieron en la ceremonia inaugural: Rajeev Gupta, director de TSC en México; Marcelo Wurmann, CEO de TCS para Latinoamérica; Ashul Mehrotra, encargada de Recursos Humanos de TSC en México; así como Ashok Kumar, director de TCS en Querétaro.
