I was also just wondering if you had a comprehensive list of all the scars the 2012 boys have in the tattered remains/frayed universe? I've been potentially drawing fanart of some of the scenes once I get my drawing tablet!

BUTTT since you asked, I probably should list all the scars because. There are a lot. I always wished they had more visible aftermaths for injuries, esp Leo, but since this is my fic - I can do what it want (within reason lol)

Spoilers below for the fic and canon series and trigger warning for injuries/scars.

2012

Leo has the most noticable scaring out of all his brothers! There is deep gouge marks on his right knee, sort of all over the place and just messy in general and the knee is slightly misshapened (due to it being crushed and then stabbed multiple times). His plastron also has three gouge marks across it from Shredder's gauntlets and there is a tiny scar on his throat from his throat being crushed/cut. Not noticeable unless he lifts his head up to show it. He also has scarring on his right shoulder that looks like shark teeth from being bit there.

Raph's left eye is a few shades lighter than his right because he's blind there! He also has a small spiral scar on the right side of his temple just under his mask from the brain worm cutting into his skin. Another brain worm scar is on his wrists and ankles! He rubbed off a lot of skin while struggling in the restraints and it left a mark. He also has a lot of scars on his knuckles from busting them open during fights and when I imagine him/write him, where that chip in his shell is there is also a wide scar across his shoulder that attaches it to the chip in his carapace, like a follow through. As for post his attack from Shredder, part of his carapace and plastron are missing and the chips also spread out like cracks. There's two holes in total!

Donnie had more so burns than lashes! His hands and forearms are pretty discoloured from chemical and heat burns. Also electrical burns on his head from the fourfold trap episode! But his mask largely covers that. This is only noticeable if you stand close to him so doubtful it would be seen in any art, but he has thin scarring all across his body from April ripping him apart! Sort of spiderwebs around him. It will come up at some point, but right now it just isn't notable in the fic. And then he recently cut his thigh open on the glass at the end of frayed so he would still have stitches from that.

Mikey, before the events of the book, has a spiderweb crack on the back of his shell from the letter falling on him from season one. And then he has a canine bite on his left arm from Rahzar. I just assumed his brothers were so focused on protecting him that he rarely got scarred since in my watch throughs, he got majorly hurt the least? Less visible scarring from shackles compared to Raph, but he still has some too. After... that chapter though??? Oh boy. With the bandages off, Mikey is now missing his right eye completely and the wound is scarred over. His shell is slightly cracked and the back of his thighs have minor scars as well. Bruising all over. Not having a good time rn.

Rise

Just because I'm already doing 2012, here are Rise as well! They have less scars to show they have had less battles and because like 2012 Donnie pointed out - they heal a lot faster so most of the listed marks are quite faint unless they are major/recurrent or you are really looking closely

Leo has small knicks on his shoulders from his odaci and katannas! He was clumsy with pulling them out and they left marks until he got more skilled. He also has scarring on his right wrist from the cuffs in season two. He was pulling and yanking on that thing like crazy. Scarring on his right knee now from Shredder slamming his gauntlet into his knee at the end of frayed and minor slashes from breaking through that window and cutting up his skin.

Raph has three slash marks at the top of his shell from defending Donnie from Shredder and it's slightly indented by Shredder stepping on it. His fists are also heavily scarred and his knuckles are constantly swollen and misshapened.

Donnie has slash marks on his soft shell from Shredder ripping into his battle shell and reaching his soft shell. He also has some burn and chemical scars from his lab and down the center of his plastron is a thin line from when SHELLDON tried to kill him and minor shackle marks on his wrists and ankles.

Mikey has a ton of tiny scars, mainly from skidding across the ground and cutting himself on glass/sharpnel. His shell is significantly scratched up from sliding against the ground as well/being thrown around.

Anyways, hoped that all helps!! I am a huge fanatic of scars and normalizing them - I recently joined the Leo's with my own knee scars after needing two surgeries to fix it lol. If you do make fanart, PLEASE tag me so I can repost it and cry even louder LAHAKSHJSH ily and drink some water!!

It’s been a while, but after a lot of mulling it over I have an announcement for you all.

When I turned 13 I remember being so excited because I could FINALLY legally download tumblr and this account was born, or well, a different account that I ended up losing access to when I made a new email so THEN this account was born HAHA.

I will always be grateful for the love and support this community has given me over the years. I mainly used this blog as a means to make friends and talk about tickling without being the fear of being judged and it did that for me. Thank you all for being so kind. I had a blast making up silly headcanons for characters I enjoyed and loved that I could share them with others who found them just as fun.

I think I’ve realized though that my interest in tickling is not entirely SFW. For a lot of my childhood I assumed I was ace (I still do believe I’m somewhere on the spectrum) but I do know that tickling as a form of intimacy is not just platonic. I want to be able to explore the more NSFW sides of the community. And it wouldn’t feel right doing it on this account. I know that my time in the SFW tickle community has taught me so much. I know that community isn’t strictly for minors, but I also realize a majority are. And I want to keep it a safe space, just as kink communities are safe spaces for people 18+. In no way am I saying this interest can’t be SFW for those who are 18+, that’s valid!! For me, that simply isn’t my reality.

I don’t plan on deleting this account. It can serve as a time capsule of the experiences and the love that this community has to offer. Plus people do interact with my old posts from time to time and they were written as SFW, and I don’t want to take it away because I remember trying to look for niche fandom tk content and often finding nothing, so hopefully they continue to bring people joy.

I’m sure I’ll run into some of you on the other side, I don’t think I’m going to advertise my new account here just yet (it also isn’t created at the moment either HAHA). I’m not sure if I will share it here at all, so please feel free to reach out if you want to stay connected, as long as you are over 18.

To any minors reading this, I want to say I know it can be frustrating and it can feel like you’re being purposefully excluded from something. Kink communities are a beautiful thing, but the reality is there are sexual encounters that occur in those communities. And there is an age of consent for a reason, and while it may be different in different places, I feel strongly that 18 is the age that makes sense. Once you’re an adult, you’d be welcomed into NSFW communities with open arms, but these aren’t just rule for the sake of control, they serve an important purpose. They’re for your safety and also the safety of everyone in the communities as well.

I’ve felt inspired to do this for a while by some of the accounts around me. If you’re someone who’s also moved accounts, most likely you helped me realize I wanted to do the same thing. Thank you for setting a positive example and showing that it’s ok when things change.

I don't think. I've ever been so emotional reading an Fic. I think I've lost count of how many times I've been brought to tears reading these, which is a good thing!! I just joined the TMNT fandom after watching the 2012 show. I just happened to come across Tattered Remains and Frayed and I don't think I can express how absolutely amazing it is. The Storytelling. The raw emotions. Everything is just so AMAZING!!! I'm in absolute love with it and I'm obsessed with these fics. Just the characterization of the 2012 turtles oh man, having them darker than their actual show counterparts is amazing! I can't wait for future chapters and to read more. I love these boys so much and I can only hope things turn out well for them.

Making the 2012 boys slightly... darker?? Was a risk I wanted to take while being in college and learning about trauma. They've never had a real break to work through those issues or heal and a lot of times when people are just constantly running, they don't see how tired they are until they stop. And yes, despite everything they are going through, they will have a happy ending ‼️ I am huge for hurt/comfort tropes, no pain, no gain. Thank you so much for supporting the story and liking it as much as I have liked writing it!

What if Glamrock Mangle was a thing but they did the same to them as they did Roxy with all the programming conflicts? What if it was worse? What if the canine/fox aspects were way stronger than the character personality and that caused too many issues? What if Foxy lost his best friend to a programming problem they had no control over?

And what if Foxy is then the biggest instigator when it comes to putting pressure on Roxy to figure out how to drop her dog programming?

Some world-building thoughts as I solidify/hammer out the details of my personal project...

With The Fae being a prominent group within the lore, it's a no-brainer to distinguish them not just from the "normal" groups, but distinguish each season from one another. Give them that unique visual style for Visual Storytelling......

In order is: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.

Each of the seasons are split off in their own domains, but all occupy the same "realm." The in-universe name is currently pending, but for simplicity's sake will be referred to as The Fae Realm.

The Fae Realm itself is incredibly... Nebulous. It manifests not as a place, but a series of places. Entering The Fae Realm is less being transported to a Strange, Greater place, as much as it is that feeling of realizing a bit too late "Uh oh, I took a wrong turn and I'm only now realizing I don't recognize this place at all." It's very much about "boiling the frog," and very much a consequence of the nature of the realm itself. A realm supported by finicky and volatile magic,, is finicky and volatile !!

The places that are less volatile are that way from active effort, often public/community spaces that are maintained from a consolidated effort of keeping it maintained. If you want to support your local bakery, you're going to stop by often and shop from them, you know? This is done in both the literal sense and the metaphorical sense; The rotation of bodies and the respective, passive magic from each individual being consolidated helps to maintain a location.

More powerful/innate magic users are far better at supporting locations by themselves, but Fae are such Communal Creatures that it's not really necessary. Everyone is chipping in and no one is getting burnt-out. (As mentioned before, magic here is super finicky, so the more powerful users are just people who know how to "wrangle" it better.)

The largest/most prominent of these spaces are the season's domains themselves. These spaces are supported by none other than the season's personal representations, the Heralds.

As the representatives and actors for these forces of nature, they are granted far more power than any other magic user. The Heralds are The Seasons, and The Seasons are The Heralds. For these strong, inherent ties, each domain heavily reflects their Herald.

And for some brief descriptions of each domain:

Spring

Formally known as Mirth of Reverdure, this domain is headed by its herald, The Enchanted.

Playful, flighty and frivolous, those within this domain are guided by their whims. The most chaotic of the domains, Fae from this domain have no qualms mingling with the human and living realm, even going as far to bringing them "back home" to get as much as they can out of them. This domain is where a majority of your "doppelgänger" and being "spirited away" myths come from.

The Enchanted is well regarded within her domain; She and her folk are nothing but enablers for one another.

Summer

Formally known as Her Incandescence, The Incandescent, and Aestiver, this domain is headed by its herald, The Wayward.

A domain of glamour and grandeur, those within this domain enjoy any opportunity to flaunt. Between loud and open celebrations, displays of opulence, and treating non-Fae as novelty, Fae from this domain are very much the meddling type. This domain is where a majority of your "siren" and "changeling" myths come from; They simply cannot help being conspicuous.

The Wayward is a source of contention within her domain. As a domain that has prioritized prestige for many many years, this blatantly unruly force, one that bastardizes the grandeur, is not a welcome one.

Autumn

Formally known as Eventide, this domain is headed by its herald, The Warden.

Prioritizing order and normalcy, those within this domain aren't of the meddling type; A Fae from Autumn's domain is much more concerned with the goings-on of their home community. Those who do opt to travel to the human and living realm are non-obtrusive, doing so with a purpose. This domain is where a majority of your "helper/house spirits" myths come from.

The Warden is a somewhat controversial figure, primarily for their openly human appearance, and open ally-ship with those "other" deities. Despite this, the relations with The Empress do aide in keeping everything where it should be, so it's not necessarily unwelcome.

Winter

Formally known as The Mantle, The Gelid, and Penumbra, this domain is headed by its herald, The Huntsman.

Though highly inquisitive, these Fae have strange ways of going about this curiosity. A nuisance even within the Fae realm, Fae from this domain are determined to get what they want, often in overt and messy ways. Treating non-Fae as a novelty, interactions tend to border on the extreme. This domain is where a majority of your "malicious Fae" come from, and they often get pinned as "poltergeists" as well.

The Huntsman, is a source of strife among those within the domain. Though his erratic behavior bodes well for those equally sporadic, this leaves everyone else scattered. One of the names for this domain, "The Mantle," has become "His Tattered Mantle" as reference to the tumultuous state of the domain itself under his influence.

With the Heralds being a relatively new aspect to the Fae lifestyle, each domain is very much going under their own reckonings. Being a Herald was regarded as a form of medium ship, a way to communicate with/on the behalf of your season/its force of nature; It has never manifested as a walking, tangible embodiment before.

Shifting and moving between domains has always been a neutral act, many Fae unaligned even, but those who do devote to a specific domain are now grappling between sticking with what they know, and sticking with what they prioritize.
