“Oh please! Come meet Santa!” My little sister Mari tugs on my hand. She’s in a little pink tutu and a slick back bun, her ballet shoes have been changed into her usual converse.

We’re at an after party/fundraiser for her ballet show, the kids were all surprised by a man dressed as santa. She was adorable, a tiny Clara!

Mari skips off with her friends as I turn to mine. Kat downs her drink, “I need another one. Too many kids around.” I laugh and clink her already empty champagne glass.

We walk off to the bar, looking up at the giant chandelier and sprawling stairways. This theater is beautiful, kids in costumes and glitter run around while the society of Monaco gossips and laughs in their presence.

We grab more champagne, smoothing out my dark plum dress and almost twisting an ankle with these silver heels my sister begged me to wear.

“Y/n!” Mari yells, hopping up and down, in line to meet the big man himself. Or… a knock off.

“Oh my.” Kat elbows me, “I’d let him slip down my chimney-” I scoff loudly and laugh, hitting her arm.

“What about that french boy you met?” I raise a brow, my eyes lingering on the man whose face is partially covered by a white wig and beard.

“Oh I see him.” She winks as I giggle, “Come on then, you must meet this cute santa!” I groan as she drags me to the back of the line, “I’ve heard whispers… he’s twenty six.” She whispers as I watch two F1 drivers walk past us.

“I am not sitting on his lap!” I laugh, shaking my head and sipping my drink, Kat grips my arm and pulls me to the front next to Mari.

“What are you asking for?” Mari asks me, clapping her little hands together and tapping her feet.

Her friends touches my dress, “This is so pretty!”

“I heard he’s famous.” One of the ballerinas behind us says just as I get pushed onto the little stand and an elf guides me.

He looks at me, all dressed up and in a whole fat suit. I can’t help but laugh as I get helped onto his lap. I honestly feel horribly awkward, “Sorry… my friend made me.”

His eyes are green, the kind of striking color that stops your thoughts. He tugs down his fake beard, exposing his face and smile.

A very attractive face and smile. “Don’t worry. Are you gonna make me do the voice?” He's got freckles and an accent.

I smile softly, “There’s a voice?”

“What are you asking for this christmas?” He says it in a deep santa like voice.

I laugh, “That’s good.”

“Why thank you…” I raise a brow at his trailing off, “I need a name to match the pretty face, and for the address of your gifts, I suppose.”

Oh he’s a flirt. “Y/n.” I nod, “You gonna make me call you santa?” His fingers brush the side of my hip.

“I’m not that into role playing…” He shakes his head and I spot a tiny dark curl by his ear, “Okay the elf’s are about to get mad. What would you like for Christmas, Y/n?”

He says my name, looking me dead in the eye. Shit I think I might be attracted to Santa.

I bite my lip, “How about, what time Santa gets off?”

His smile shifts into a smirk, “Christmas came early, I guess. Ten.”

He meets me in an empty hallway, Its almost hard to tell if it’s him because of his change in clothes.

He's in a black suit, bowtie and everything. He’s far more agreeable without the white hair.

In fact, the white is replaced with real curls. Dark curls cut into a nice mullet that suits his face. It was in fact a fat suit that I can now clearly see was horribly fake.

I have a sneaking suspicion that tonight is going to be extra interesting now. His hands go to his pockets, that smile on display again for me. “I’m Lando.”

She's here, she's here, she's here! Welcome home, Yona!

I am so, so proud of her. The most complex custom I've ever done, and the one where the most things went wrong, too!

I widened the faceplate, which meant I had to change the entire head to accommodate. Part of her head broke and I had to repair it. Then one of her legs became permanently fused to a joint peg. That's no good because the pegs are soft and prone to breaking - they must be replaceable! I had to start the legs over from the beginning. The sealant was perfectly fine with all the paint except once - it made her face paint buckle! I had to sand it smooth, then repaint and keep going...

AND THE PAINT. omg. I went through multiple brands and types of acrylic paint, and all of them were complete failures. In desperation I turned for the first time to lacquer paint. That's WAY more heavy duty stuff than I ever planned to get into! But the results... oh, they speak for themselves. 🥰

FUN PHOTOGRAPHY THING. In the game, in sunlight, Yona is like. Lizard green. Bright, brilliant lime. But in rain or cloudy weather (and when you print her out in CYMK), she's a soft, cool, mint color.

I use a Nikon camera that boosts the eff out of yellow. So much that just about every photo I take, I have to go in and manually decrease the saturation on all yellow. I thought to myself, "If I paint Yona that brilliant shade of green, it's going to be a nightmare to edit. I'll just go with her rainy-weather color instead." But look at that photo! It's perfectly her shade! The camera looked at cool mint and made it anole green! 😁🎉

I feel like I understand the game's lighting system a little bit better now.

...why is her head decoration missing, you ask? (Well pretend you did.) It was too bulky to fit on the part of her head that I squished down to fit Nendoroid proportions. Also it would have been very fragile. And it would have made her taller than Sidon.

And once again addressing the great big obvious: what does this mean for my photography?

I... think I'm correct in guessing my reputation in this fandom is "the sidlink toy photographer", right?

I ship all three as a polycule. But the same way I take photos of Sidon and Link, Zelda and Link, all three together, or singles; there will be photos with Yona in and out of the mix.

Whatever ship you like, interpret it and indulge freely. Zelink, sidlink, sidona, sidlinkona, and any combination I haven't named. Or no ship at all, if you like everyone as friends. It’s about time I finally introduced y’all to my Broppy spawn!!!! 🗣️ (I tried to make Grapefruit NOT look like the millions of purple broppy children out there, but if she looks similar to urs, lmk and I can tweak some things :P)

Here’s a small breakdown:

ROSEALYN -

• Oldest (17)

• Demi-Girl (She/Her or They/Them, often used interchangeably) // Lesbian

• Rosealyn gets a positive attitude from her mom, logical thinking from her dad, and an incredible amount of sass from both

• Rosealyn is very family-oriented. While she’d like to see the rest of the world, she wouldn’t want to go without her parents, brother, and sister by her side.

• She’s equally attached to both parents. She can relate to both of them in many ways :3 Often, she feels pressure from Trolls of the village, as the heiress to the throne. Poppy gives her comfort in that aspect, while Branch gives her support, encouragement, and step-by-step plans on what she can do lol

• She has VERY long hair, longer than the average troll (doctors said it was actually a rare defect at hatching, which also led to her hair being “floppy.” To disguise this, Rosealyn keeps her hair up in a ponytail, and holds all of her belongings in a bag at her hip :3)

• Heterochromia!!!! One eye color is her dad’s, the other is a mix of magenta and cyan!!! :3 (it’s just purple 💔💔)

• Spot is quite the mama’s boy. She was the first one to know that he was trans, not even his sisters knew before her. Of course, Poppy is a supportive mama, so Spot knew what he was doing when he went to her about it x3 She also gently nudged him to tell the rest of the family (including aunts and uncles [BroZone]), who were all — of course — extremely supportive !!!

• He grows up to be as tall as Clay !!

• His name was Spot since hatching, he never felt the need to change it (it was androgynous enough :P)

• He’s closest with Grapefruit, although she often drags him into shenanigans and gets them both in trouble quite often. Spot is often skeptical of what Grapefruit does and is usually not to blame for anything that goes on (although he helped because he’s highkey a people pleaser so he gets grounded too 💔)

• He’s actually the one who ends up ruling instead of Rosealyn ! (shocker !! 💀) While he’s typically shy with his ruling (and again, such a people pleaser), he learns from his mom and dad that he can stand up for himself and be confident, so he ends up ruling very successfully! (I see in the future he marries someone, which leads to the first two kings co-ruling in the Pop Troll dynasty.)

GRAPEFRUIT -

• Youngest (6)

• (When She grows up) AroAce // Questioning (She/Her?)

• Gets ADHD from her mom and sensitive hearing from her dad :3

• Gets a wavy/curly hair gene from Poppy’s side (I like to believe Poppy has that gene, she just straightens her hair :P), and TERRIBLE eyesight from Branch’s side (thanks, dad 💔💔) ((oh and she also gets her nose shape from him lmao)) [WELLLLLLL tbh they all have those “bad BroZone eyes,” because I think it’s a whole branch’s side thing, but Grapefruit is rlly the only one they made wear glasses while the rest of them just kinda exist without them LMAO]

• When Poppy named her, she was thinking of grapes. Branch said, “You do know that grapes are completely different from grapefruits, right?” LMAO and she just said “eh, it sounds cooler!”

• Grapefruit is the troublemaker of the bunch. She’s incredibly hyper, sassy, sarcastic, and can be kind of a smart-ass LMAO. She often drags her siblings into random pranks and other hijinks. She also has an obsession with her aunt Viva, who tends to match her energy anytime she visits.

• She’s closer to her dad, finding it fun to prank him :P But, on a deeper level, he’s comforted her anytime she needs it. She often masks her anxiety with chaos to try and numb the nerves, but he’s always there to talk about it with her (to which she always begrudgingly agrees)

• Oh, you just KNOW she had an “Emo phase” growing up 💔

naming ideas

for her name: i like how its has some phonetic similarities to iris. and i dont believe at all that yujin didnt know her; in japanese, 'l' and 'r' sounds are not distinguished in the same was as english thus: "liz, risu, airisu, iris... (ayame... ayame.) airisu... risu. liz."

but also her fanon - as in the common elements people have in their designs of lady b - designs look just like alot of the fanon designs for minecraft youtuber ldshadowlady. im having a lot of fun thinking about putting them in the life series.... boogieman curse.... the dogs.

this influences me quite a bit i think. primarily, how i characterise klint and liz is influenced by alot of gothic texts (and castlevania...........) as well as other people's interpretations of her. however they are are also lizzie and joel. and you are required to know this

talking about shapes (character design stuffs)

im kinda also working out klint and barok in context of my headcanons/takes. i think, with the design philosophy im carrying rn, i would draw them a little differently to emphasise the certain themes in my head lol. i gotta figure out some kinda shape motif for lady b tbh i dont really have too clear of an idea yet. at first, i thought a heart would be nice (connection with iris - i think a few other people have done so as well) but then The Spiral

ive been thinking of labyrinths quite often lately (house of leaves.) i like the symbolism of her spiraling down into some kind of madness / depravity as is the van zieks way. klint's sword points down to show the same thing. kid barok's hair goes upward. he look up to them. cute. this whole family is literally cursed

writing and truth

ive said this in some earlier posts somewheres but basically my main ideas for her are that

she and klint are trying not to become the sins of their parents. they succeed. but also fail.

barok is motivated by his sense of justice in the pursuit of truth. klint is the sense of justice. thus liz is the pursuit of truth

and ive landed on her being quite into writing. nothing ever published i think, but many volumes of poetry, short fiction and maybe even novels, with her favourite red ink pen. the same color ink that she used to write love letters with.

these works were probably things that she only shows to people close to her. and id think the subject matter would be something close to jane austen's work (critical of the landed gentry; she also published anonymously under the name 'a lady' -> i thought there was something in there about how lady b remains nameless and only a lady)

i think her writing would be a way to channel her frustration, anger, misery, and other such unladylike thoughts. perhaps, in childhood, she would have liked being a newswriter - until she finds out how sensationalized they are (and how would she feel when the news would start calling barok the reaper?)

i havent found a good way to incorporate this into her design yet. i was thinking something about the cape - hiding secret pockets and a notebook and pen? something about gender roles can play in there as well - but it looked too much like stronghart's silhouette imo. replacing barok's father figure while dressing like his mother would be crazy... and there is the swirls. im not too completely against that idea yet. think i gotta keep experimenting

but anyways, i really do like the idea that she and klint look like they could be barok's parents. i think its fucked up (good). the gothic is all about how ur repressing somethings and it keeps coming out, and i kind of like themes of finding out the parent that you idolised isnt actually as good as you once thought they were.

you know about klint. and liz hates lying. but she is also just as great as a liar. she despises the social structures of upper class england, but she is just as wiling to maintain a facade, and has so much hatred that she hides. despite hating to hear it, she's really nosey - does she LIKE hearing about all those reprehensible things she claims to abhor? why else would they all appear in those stories she writes? and why else are all her protagonists such unreliable liars?

i think barok would grow up trying to model all the good that liz and klint try to project. hed probably thinks they would hate him after all that. maybe its comforting to know they also fell too. perhaps they would forgive him too.

SO. You may be asking, "what happened to him?" And I am here to EXPLAIN! :]

This AU is still a fairly [pun unintended] big WIP, so some details are still all over the place/undecided, and some may change over time; constructive criticism, opinions/thoughts, questions, are all appreciated!

The general idea is, well... divergent from the finale. What if, after the chip is grabbed and Hazel, Wanda, [and maybe Cosmo? I don't recall if he goes with them/ends up somewhere else] go to fix the wand, Peri explodes. And it gets undone when Hazel wishes to fix Fairy World. Buuuttt... not quite!

It wasn't her 1 Millionth Wish that she used up on Fairy World— which is why it Doesn't Quite Fix Him Going Kaboomey. But I imagine that having 1Mil Wishes had a mild influence on What Happened and why exploding DID get fixed... sort of. [I need to brainstorm specifics on this.]

ANYWAY.

Peri looks GENERALLY normal most of the time, except for, well, *gestures at reference.* Outside of THAT [cracked wand, cracked crown [crack hidden by the glow], slightly off color pallete], there's some other stuff that's just a Hint of Wrong.

Like coughing up confetti and/or rainbows [without any other sign of magical backup [which he can't experience anymore because he did technically already die via backup.]] And sometimes the funny silly wacky expressions that happened during buildup [big ol' eyes/pupils, star shaped pupils, funny faces [like when he was talking to Dev.]

Throwing this in here. Sometimes he just stares like the TBH Creature. It's kinda silly kinda funny. I need to make a Petrified!Peri TBH emote because that fits well.

I was ALSO thinking about the idea that sometimes limbs can detach [the ghost fairy in that one ep is what gave me this thought], mostly for expressive purposes/fun silly purposes. It can be seen in this image here! Still DEBATING on this, though.

You were able to sneak out of your responsibilities an hour earlier than normal and went directly to the store looking to buy the groceries to make dinner for you and your girlfriend. It wasn’t anything extraordinary, but since you ran out of food and Korra had told you she wanted to buy the groceries with you for the next two weeks, you only bought the necessary things for one dinner. After entering the apartment, you left everything in the kitchen just to change to more comfortable clothes; the night was a bit warm, making you opt for a pair of Korra’s pajamas and a sports bra to prevent feeling overwhelmed with the warm air of the kitchen.

‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Thank the spirits, I’m finally home!” such an entrance made you smile big, Korra’s steps made her way to you the moment she heard how you moved a pan. Leaning on the door’s frame, keen sky colored orbs were observing your figure move. “Pretty pajamas.”

You looked over at her with a funny gleam and took a step back from the counter to show your attire better. “Yeah? Stole it from a cute girl.” A wink was given her way, the avatar smiled with such enthusiam.

Her feet moved again, now walking towards you; warm hands cradled your face and a small kiss was exchanged. Even if it was ephemeral as a greeting, you felt the second intentions on it by the way your girlfriend embraced the gesture, one of her hands made its way from your cheek to your side and pulled you as close as it was humanly possible for two bodies to be.

You were trying hard not to succumb to her touch, mainly because you wanted to finish dinner first at least.

Her lips attacked you a second time without any warning and clearly frantic while separating your legs to make way for her to be as close to you as she could be.

Her hands left a burning sensation anywhere they touched your skin, your own were over Korra’s shoulders; one of them was tangling with the brown strands of hair you always loved to play with while the other was caressing her neck.

Foreign teeth caught your bottom lip pulling you by it a little before taking advantage of how you let out a sigh to explore your mouth with her tongue; by then you were more than used to such hasty make out sessions when Korra had a long day and needed to take it out on someone… And you loved it, it usually meant she was more than determined on her actions. Even if she was harsh, she always made sure to never make you feel uncomfortable or hurt you in any way.

Her kisses began to leave marks on the skin of your neck, devouring it like she had been away for so long and this was the first time she got to taste you again. Your heart was pounding with excitement while your eyes closed and you moved your head to give her better access to you. When one of your hands looked to stabilize your body by leaning on the counter, it hit the cutting board making you turn to it and remember what you were doing.

A small giggle left your mouth at the same time Korra claimed your lips again, but that time was shorter as she quickly moved on to attend your breasts. Thanking silently your early idea on using a sports bra, she only had to lift it up to allow your boobs to be freed, a soft sigh sounded your way and it made her smile. THE HEAVEN CAST!!!!! WHOOOOOOO!!!!!

So first off, we got a redesign for the Exorcist Angel armor. I wanted to keep the colors light so they stand out when in Hell. I was also hugely inspired by Crusades armor, since the Crusades fought for religious territory, I thought taking inspo from there made sense.

Then we have Lute, Emily, Sera and Adam's designs. I'll explain it all under the cut if you're interested!!!

LUTE!!!!!!!!!! Sorry guys but she's basically a different character with the same name at this point

So I think that Lute was like a mentor figure to Vaggie, she was the closest thing Vaggie had to a (sorta) mom but it's defiantly like a student-master relationship.

I think that Vaggie trusted and cared for Lute deeply, she devoted all her time and energy into training in order to make not only Heaven better, but to make Lute proud. Lute was a HUGE driving force Vaggie's martyr complex.

But they were close!!!! The care wasn't just once sided, I think Lute did love Vaggie. I think they both care for each other SO much, that's why it will hurt SO MUCH when it's LUTE as the one to de-wing and banish Vaggie. She LOVED her, she TRUSTED HER!!!!!

Trust that I will be delving deeper into this in the future ✊✊✊

So Emily and Sera's designs and roles in the story are pretty much the same, I liked them in canon! They were fun and offered an interesting addition to the show!!!!

The main thing I chose to change was basically their hair and skin color tbh. I understand what the show was TRYING to do, w the fact that they're supposed to be black (and apparently those are supposed to be dreads in Sera????) but.......... It wasn't good.

With their canon skin color, I know a lot of angels have gray skin but to me, it looked like the designers didn't know whether to make Sera and Emily (especially Sera) gray or flesh colored, which then resulted in them trying to meet it in the middle and left us with this,,,, really ashy looking black skin in some shots which I didn't like.

I decided to just make them a darker gray so they can both be seen as black and also keep consistent with angels having gray skin :)

ALSO THAT ONE DOODLE WITH EMILY LOOKING AT CHAGGIE, I PROMISEEEEEE THAT SHE DOESN'T LIKE EITHER OF THEM LIKE THAT, I JUST DID IT TO BE FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I think the ship is cute but personally, it's not for me ^^)

And finally..... ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!

So like Lute, Adam is basically a completely different character with that same name just slapped on.

I REALLY didn't like him in the show to be honest. I think we was an enjoyable character at times but he's totally like my second to last fav character (with my LEAST favorite being Lucifer LOL). I think it was an interesting take on Adam definitely!! To see him so cocky and full of himself bc of his title but....... It was just very...... Viziepop with the whole "original dick" thing......

Adam is the literal FATHER of humanity!!!? He is EVERYONE'S FATHER!!!!!! I don't understand the point of making him mean aside from the fact that he's supposed to be an opposing force in the show, but even then, just because he's the opposing force, doesn't mean he's gotta be a huge jerk!!!!!

I think it could be more interesting and add more nuisance to the story is Adam WAS this sweet, caring guy who, like the protagonists, is only doing what he thinks is right!

I'll delve more into Adam in my next post BUT everything he does is out of his trust in God and the Seraphims, he trusts them wholeheartedly and despite the fact that the Sinners of Hell were once his children too, he does what he must because his flaw isn't that he's egotistical or an asshole, it's that he cares and trusts with his entire being.

It’s pesterlog time!!!! In a 12 page spread (1391-1402) there are seven pesterlog pages representing five characters. I feel like I am a medieval peasant attending my first palace banquet. The rich offerings of character moments and variety of colors on display is blowing my gruel-fed brain.

The art also kicks ass this update! Tbh I am going to make a post about the art more generally as I’ve noticed some big changes recently (and some slow changes that are very apparent when jumping back) so for today I’ll just say: look at this super cool art of John exploring LOWAS on page 1395. He’s so clearly questing in a way that the sprite just can’t represent. I would get this framed for my wall.

I’m delighted to get a longer conversation with CG, who I’ve named Reggie. They’re actually fun and creative with their trolling techniques here, and knowing what they look like means I get to imagine this little grey kid grinding their fangs as they tap away on their keyboard furious at a comparatively sweet and clueless guy. They look like a goofy nerd whose bark is way worse than their bite.

‘IT WOULD MAKE ME SICK TO MY HUMAN STOMACH IF I HAD ONE OF YOUR HUMAN STOMACHS’ is VERY funny. Reggie feels similar to the Felt and Midnight Crew in being so over-the-top in their violence that it loops back around to being funny. And John’s reactions are good too – he’s not upset at the trolling like Jade is, he’s hilarious and willing to turn Reggie’s snark back on them. Their willingness to play off each other definitely increases the ‘enemies to lovers’ feeling of this Valentine’s Day conversation.

It is interesting that Rose accepted GA’s offer to be friends (p.1093), and now Reggie is telling John that they’re friends in the future (p.1394). So suddenly the trolls, who act and look textbook malicious at first, are trying to play nice. Are the trolls setting this up in order to double cross the kids in the future? Or are the trolls trying to incorporate the kids into their group and get them to follow some sort of dark trolling agenda? Or are they also just outcast alien kids who troll people because they’re lonely and want some attention? Hard to say when we have only heard from three of them.

There is something amazing about PM’s sword previously being used for vengeance (p.844, 870) and this time when she tries to do similar, she’s interrupted by WV who convinces her to use it to open cans and share food instead. WV may be from the dark kingdom but he feels like a peacemaker between the light and dark sides, refusing to fight against either PM or AR. I mean he is literally followed around by the light of serenity. And now he sits between PM and AR and shares his food and Tab and they all become friends, which honestly, is amazing mayoral work. Solving disputes in the town already. I really think he could build a town just like Spades Slick did.

This view of Dave’s city is cool too, I love the color of the sky! He straight up lies by saying ‘i always keep birds in here its sort of my thing’ (p.1400) and calling it sincere, considering his earlier bird-free room (p.312). He is on way too many layers of irony to decode (i.e. he just says whatever bullshit comes to mind that might be funny with no regard for whether it’s true or false). Which is soooo great for getting to know his character (also he should stop saying slurs).

However, I can see why Dave is annoyed by Rose here. Like he does kind of bring this all on himself by being so ironic all the time and talking about how ‘cool’ his brother apparently is, but, it’s gotta be hard when he’s been telling Rose about fighting his brother on the roof and she’s dismissing that he went through a lot to get the beta to save her, when Jade had it literally handed to her. Rose doesn’t know the details so I’m not mad at her, but it still can’t be easy for Dave to hear that dismissal from a friend.

I do feel like Rose and Jade have this alliance in seeing themselves as the two who know what’s going on, with the combined power of Jade’s visions and Rose’s perceived high intelligence. This whole update is very gender roles but this does evoke page 838, where Rose is far more aware of Jade’s powers and the type of information she has access to than John or Dave are.

Meanwhile in Dave and John land...

Straight up adorable. Don’t even pretend to me that there’s a shred of irony in this. I love how close these guys are. This is sort of the first declaration of love in Homestuck unless you count John’s telling Liv Tyler on his Armageddon poster that he loves her (p.223).

We specifically don’t get to see Rose’s conversation with a troll (yet), but I think we can assume she’s talking to GA, probably the only troll she respects enough to prioritize over Dave. We also don’t see where in the Medium Rose is; John assumes that she’s also in the Land of Wind and Shade, but according to Rose, ‘It’s hard to say for certain. But I think I like it here.’ (p.1402). If the Medium has four planets in between the light and dark (p.703) (holy shit half the story ago) then it makes sense for the players to all start on different planets and have to find each other, so we could be getting ANOTHER super aesthetically cool land within the next few weeks. Or teased repeatedly until the end of the act, who knows.

The puppets (including a wizard puppet) clinging to the totem lathe on page 1403 is a very good gag. Also, ‘eggy loking thign’ (p.240) spotted here in the menu?? Implying a limited set of Sburb entry items?? Also 2,000 starting build grist for Jade to use compared to 20 for Rose, and a bunch more gizmos and gadgets available to deploy, including a disc with a piece of green grist (?) and two devices shaped like captchalogue/strife cards; a further tease of what’s to come.

Finally, I’m so glad Hussie agrees with me that there’s no fucking way Jade knows how to clean a house. Even if she has absorbed gender roles and sees cleaning as a woman’s activity (p.1405) she definitely was not taught to do that and designed some kind of robot to do it for her.

i tried to give proper justification for all the pt to have their codenames here which for a handful of them meant their names are just. shortened versions of something else. so crow is short for crow poison. aka false garlic. its a type of flower :3. i mean theororetically crow would be a valid name but hes a rainwing here and it didnt seem like a very fitting name with that in mind? but theres a couple rainwings named after flowers i think. hes a rainwing for obvious reasons i think. id like to think hed have a very light color palette that shifts to this when he gives up trying to hide who he is. youuu can see that lighter palette in the art i linked earlier.

3) What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?

This is a tricky answer…just bc my evil gremlin mc in the game has NOTHING to do with Eloise in my writing. I guess I would say her name? I was just thinking of what would be the most British sounding name I could think of when I started playing in December🙂‍↕️

But then my imagination took hold of me…I started thinking about Eloise’s backstory…and when I thought of how all of her family dynamics/how she grew up would influence her personality I started to be really dissatisfied with the game and the lack of choice we have while playing. SO I gave up on the game completely after the restricted section quest and started to use my free time to write my fic in January🥹🫶 but her backstory, personality, and role in my story are definitely the most interesting things about her to me!!

Bonus: my first ever drawings of her in January!!! Bad quality bc it’s an insta story screenshot😆💓 (I redid one for my fic🤭)

4) And reverse, which one of the four things did you struggle with the most?

Hmmmmm😭😭 I think her personality is what I struggled with the most and continue to struggle with as I write!!!! I always want her to feel like a *real* person with flaws, but ALSO convey to the reader why they should love her as much as I do. I think I’m successful bc I get comments/messages a lot from people telling me how much she resonates with them (and she’s some people’s favorite???😳💘) but I STILL CANT HELP BUT FEEL INSECURE ABOUT IT !!! It’s so hard sometimes keeping in mind how she is and how she thinks, and I never want her to be wishy-washy or doing things out of character for her. It’s a fun challenge but a challenge😭💓 (also her appearance changes like crazy in my art but whatever I’m learning😆)

Hands gently stroking her hair as she cried and cried and cried, murmurs whispered in soft Spanish to the top of her head.

She was overwhelmed, desolate, lonely.

I feel really bad for Eloise at this point in her story, but I also find it really interesting to keep poking her to see when she finally snaps and decides that she NEEDS to stand up for herself and what she wants. She hasn’t quite realized that she’s the only one who’s ultimately in charge of her life & I’m really really enjoying watching her become the person she’s meant to be🥹🫶🥹🫶

My experience reading william's so far

I'm at chapter 12 btw. Also, if you didn't read liam and harrison pls don't read this. Also, this may be an unpopular opinion about kate

yall, seriously. wiliam's route is sth else hahaha

So far, his MC to me is so so. I was not expecting her to fall in love so easily, which frustrated me. I thought it was going to be a slow burn like liam's but apparently that was not the case ('I'm reading chapter 12).

idk if kate is always like that in other routes (I'll definitely try to read all of the boys cuz they are all so batshit crazy and I love that) but she is way more gullible than I expected. Girl, you just don't trust a bunch of villains like that. They are not ordinary guys. Wake up!

I know it's not as if we could control who we'll love, but she deadass fell in love with harrison and william so fast imo. Particularly, I didn't like that.

In harrison's, I think she fell in love because he is so nice and polite. He seems the most normal guy of all of the boys. Just like lots of you mentioned when they released the EN server.

And in william's, it looks like that good girl falling in love with the bad guy, that one your parents always tell you to never get close to. Also, she could have fell in love with william because he was the one who taught her how to express herself and show her true colors.

It gives me the impression that kate sees william's as some sort of savior or deity. No matter what he does, she will trust and follow him. Not a fan of that tbh. And I'm saying that as a william lover.

But, at the same time, I like the fact she is not trying to erase her personality like other MCs in otome/josei just to please others. I'm pretty sure she will do something crazy in the next chapters, so I'm looking forward to it.

Also, I loved that in chapter 11 or 12, she realized she wanted william to kill avatus (is that his name? ahaha). Thank god a MC that is not that prude girl who accidentally is caught up in the middle of a bloodbath and tries to convince the suitor not to kill someone because killing is bad.

And william is so vicious. And that's exactly what I love him lol I highly recommend you read his route if you want to know who he really is. Just playing the events is not enough.

I noticed playing the events and his bday story that he loves freedom. But it never occurred to me that that was not only because he valued free will, but because it is some sort of kink of his.

While reading his route I have this impression that he is also being selfish doing that. And he is aware of that. After all, he is a villain. So, in the end, he also gains from their freedom.

And he not only applauds people when they do what they want but he is also considering letting people use him as they please in this process.

How many other women did he have sex with just to please them? And that reminds me of liam's route. Because liam and willliam to me look the same when it comes to that. I remember when liam implied he fucked a woman just because she wanted to.

I was shocked they had sex so soon on his route ahahha. I liked that kate was honest saying she wanted to have sex with him. I wonder if it's canon she is a virgin. She doesn't seem to be experienced at all.

But, at the same time, I have this bittersweet feeling that she is going too fast to experience everything she didn't try before without thinking about the consequences. I know in the end she will get what she wants, as she is the MC, but this could have ended up on a REALLY bad note for her because william is not in love with her. And if they say later on that he was in love with her since the beginning, I don't know if I'll buy that tbh. Let's see if I'll change my mind.

Did you imagine if the bad end was william rejecting her after fucking kate over and over again for 1 month? This girl would be devastated.

That being said, I love william to death. He is exactly the bad guy I was looking for - manipulative, strong-willed, seductive, has good manners and he is not ashamed of living his best life.

But I can't self-insert in his route. Kate sometimes seems too emotionally dependent on william for my taste. Luckily, in william's events, I think she has a more pleasant personality and is more independent.

I also love the plot so far. Seeing William exterminating butterfly is so fucking entertaining. He has the most wicked ideas of how to order someone to die.

And the revelation he killed his dad was also shocking to me. As I saw in liam and harrison's route that liam's dad was alive and harrison loved his father, and roger's seems to have a nice or normal relationship with his father, I thought we would get the chance to meet william's dad too. But yeah, that is not gonna happen lmao. And I'm glad william killed his father. That guy was hideous.

I wonder if other people in william's family have that curse as well.

Oh, and harrison was so accurate in describing william here. William is not only cruel when he kills people, but when he flirts with them too, even if it's unintentional.

Hey Ai, I just watched this movie earlier called Fear (idk if you already watched it but incase u haven’t I’ll just explain the storyline) and it’s basically about a guy named David (Mark Wahlberg) who becomes so obsessed with Nicole (Reese Witherspoon). I mean he’s literally obsessed with her he wants her to himself all the time, following her around, stalking her, and gets annoyed when she’s not with him and gets angry and jealous when she’s around her male friends. He also has a shrine made just for her with all her pictures and stuff, and tattooed her name across his torso. He also uses his charm and manipulation tactics to take her and resorted into violence when she doesn’t want to go with him and leaver her family behind like he literally tried to kill her family members just to forcefully take her.

I was wondering like I know Satoru wouldn’t do these kinds of extremes like u know trying to kill your family members, etc. But I want to know how similar could Satoru and David be in terms of obsession? Like I know Satoru can be pretty obsessed and intense with you minus the dark aspects like violence and murders.

so i watched the movie last night bc the second i saw your ask my mind immediately went ! yandere satoru ! but david and satoru are vastly different when it comes to their obsession, i think.

satoru would too be intense and quite mental with his obsession but in his own crafty way. he’d absolutely never be violent with you!!! insanity can manifest in various ways. but like he is very calculating and smart about it. he would never openly do things that would upset you and push you away — everything he does, he does so to pull you closer and keep you with him. he’d get rid of disturbances furtively. secretly, carefully, while he’s being your sweet and caring boyfriend. he wouldn’t show his true colors and intentions, because you wouldn’t love him if he did.

incredibly possessive. i think he’d get really worked up when faced with signs of you holding a special place in someone else’s life — it could be a friend, it could be a parent. like you belonging to someone in a different way than you belong to him. which leads to this one scene from the movie that i associated with something that yandere satoru would do — david stealing nicole’s baby bracelet and carving his name on it so it reads “david’s girl” instead of “daddy’s girl”. oh boy… i think it’s something satoru would do too ;-; just to feel good about it himself, like he’s won. see? you’re his.

tbh right now the yandere i associate a lot with satoru is the ML from the manhwa ‘tears on a withered flower’, i think yantoru would be a lot like him.

the ML there goes to the flower shop where FL works at and buys roses every day. every day, for months — his house is basically filled with them at this point, like there are roses and petals scattered all around the floors… he’s been watching her for so long, waiting for her to notice him. by this point he knows a lot about her. she’s having a really hard time, going through major changes, life has basically beaten her down — she got cheated on by her (ex) husband she’s been with since high school and is in a lot of debt because of him which is why she works multiple jobs to make ends meet and pay off the debt… so he comes into her life in a very tough and vulnerable time and knows exactly how to make use of it. they get close eventually... he pretends to be poor too, yk to be more relatable, while in reality he is rich af. swaps his brand new super expensive shoes with one of his friend’s worn out ones to make it look more believable that he’s a lower class (he’s also younger than her btw, 10 year age gap) also beats up men that hit on her, secretly in the alleyways, without her knowing about it. she suspects nothing NOTHING i really love the story — there’s so much depth to it — and highly recommend it to everyone! it’s still ongoing and we’re starting to see more about ML’s backstory and how he also went through very traumatic experiences. i wait for every chapter religiously!!!! if you ever read it please lmk if you see the vision! i think yandere satoru would be a lot like ML

Hey ghesties, uhhh I was nervous as fuck to post this because I haven’t had the energy to do much in the way of full drawings (all of it was funneled in a specific project I am seriously struggling on) so I only have picrew edits (which also limited my design ability in terms of silhouette) but I need to talk about my Little Guys (ghoul ocs)

-a note on my canon I set up for them, it’s generally a “no one dies” au, though occasionally I play with resurrection aus? Either way all the papas get to live and be a fucked up little family together. Also I know they "Didn't grow up together" in terms of Copia but instead yes they did.-

(Second note because I'm not sure how everyone else categorizes these, I use era to mean a different Papa as frontman (but mashing Copia's cardinal and Papa times together since he's still the same character)

First up: Cinder!

Fire ghoul, they/them, era 3/4 depending on au

Their basic premise is “give Terzomega a child through Hijinks” which currently includes a group of overenthusiastic Siblings attempting to help by summoning a ghoul. Luckily it doesn’t go dangerously wrong, but they do end up with a ghoul kit.

A kit they immediately lose, because Cinder bolted out of the area.

Cinder is notably shy and skittish for a fire ghoul (hence why I went with “cinder” as it’s a cooled fire related term, and “ash” is a bit too much just a human name for my preference?) And they get cold very easily, so once they got out of the commotion they found the nearest lit fireplace to hide in.

I've gone back and forth on who finds them, but tend to favor it being Omega or him and Terzo, because they would be scared by just a human and while it could be one of the other ghouls, I just don't really feel it? (And I am.. not great at characterizing uhh most of the ghouls. Including Omega tbh.)

They're dressed in a cute little frilly outfit because I think Terzo likes to dress them up like a little prince. It's very hard to get them to keep their clothes unburnt so there is a lot of effort taken to give them fire resistant clothes (they still manage to singe the edges)

Resurrection au is way harder on them, and includes them being summoned (and subsequently adopted) era 3, to get the full angst from Terzo's death.

No one dies version is them being summoned era 4, because I think Terzo (and to a degree Omega) would do much better with a child after retirement from touring.

Their favorite uncle is Copia, due in large part due to adoring his rats (cuddling many small warm cute babies? Sign them up!) But also because knowing that he's an anxious person makes them feel better about how big and scary the ministry is to them, no matter how long it's been.

Next: Ember!

Fire ghoul, he/they/she/xe, era 4

Ember is in general, sweet. Gentle, helpful, and calm. Warm, emotionally and also physically, radiating heat like a smsll furnace. All perfect qualities for a ministry ghoul. But they are very clear about their limits, that their temper can flare high with the best of them.

He is happy to do plenty of jobs around the ministry, but his favorite tends to sound a little surprising: tending the grounds and gardens. The soft heat of the sun, the cool grass, and the ever changing shapes and colors of flowers, it's all peaceful to xem.

In resurrection aus, she finds the gardens not in disrepair per se, but definitely not like it has been given care. She has to be careful, lest her heat burn the more delicate plants, but he personally revives it to the best to his ability. It's quite the surprise to both of them when Primo returns, to a small fire ghoul neck deep in his garden as it stands around them, healthy, if not amateur. They get to bond over this =)

In no one dies au, there's a slower burn bond with Primo, with him teaching them about the plants, two calm exteriors with burning, molten cores finding companionship.

(...also if maybe I like to ship xem and Primo that's my business. I'm very scared of being called cringe, can you tell?)

Finally: Prism!

Quintessence/fire ghoul, she/they, probably era 4?? Who knows

Unfortunately, Prism is currently mostly vibes? I think she's probably a bit tricksy maybe? (Maybe a bit... scatterbrained? Like. Like refracting light. Because it's scattering light. Like a prism. Well more like the way the bevels in a cut diamond make it sparkle and refract light, which is actually how I imagine them but prism is more succinct for use as a name) So I'm going to talk about a couple design details. (I'm curious what design other people like best? I may do a poll about it if people are interested)

I realized this may just be a me thing, but I imagine the ones with the hair up as the hair spikes going up through the horns, so the horns curl around the hair, though the picrew doesn't actually depict that as much as I thought at first?

Also the black shirt + red cloak feels more like "on stage" type outfits, the way the ghouls wear darker colors, while the white and purple shirt is more casual with the light colors. (Interestingly, they each kinda emphasize each of her elements with red being fire and purple aether)

I got too many "looks like homestuck" comments from friends before I even made the wavy hair + red and black outfit and while I love that one I'm so scared it reads as "Aradia"

So I think that's generally my guys? Hope y'all like them?
