What’s your stance on the Ashton hate right now?
ok so i've gotten a few asks abt this now and i will concede and answer this one because i love the insinuation here that I can have a stance like I'm a politician or smthn <3 thank u for voting and for this platform <3
I'm also going to take the opportunity to say this is entirely my stance, not what i think everyone should believe or i think is the "right" perspective or blah blah yada yada disclaimer disclaimer. no one come at me saying I'm forcing my beliefs on you. you catch my drift. if you disagree with me, that's your prerogative and i frankly just don't care very much.
that being said <3 lock in for a jessay <3
if we're being entirely honest, I think people in the modern age - especially twitter users - actively seek out reasons to be upset. they crave drama like bees crave honey. especially when it comes to ashton tbh. the man can't breathe right without people claiming he's being problematic so I don't put a lot of stock in general in anyone's opinions of him but my own, especially bc I'm in fandom for my own enjoyment, not for anyone else's !! so it doesn't much matter to me what they think of him. i don't value their opinions!
if you'll notice, fandom is a lot about curating your own special little bubble and here on tumblr, literally no one is talking shit about ashton that i follow. it's literally just on twitter that I've seen any hate because twitter is a cesspool filled with chronically online social justice warrior bullshit :) and there's a reason I'm not on there often.
i think hate like this is just point-blank stupid because, as I've said before and I will say again, cancel culture is fucking fake ! it is literally not real and it is invented by people who have miserable sad little lives and want to self-impose their issues and hypocritical views onto others to pretend that they're doing good in the world when, in reality, they're making it that much worse!!
now, don't get me wrong, i really don't mind someone saying to their fave, "hey, this thing you said was hurtful for X reason, maybe you could consider that in the future :)" but I've already seen people saying ashton should kill himself sdfghjk so ! i don't care much for any opinion they have because they undermine their own arguments by telling people to spread kindness by spreading cruelty. it's frankly moronically hypocritical and embarrasses me every time i go online and see it.
as for the actual reason ashton's getting hate right now, i don't personally think it's as big a deal as people pretend it is. and this is getting into my own personal perspectives of things and please feel free to disagree with me on this because i know it's a Hot Take, but i can believe and support victims while simultaneously thinking that anonymous twitter allegations are mostly bullshit.
all allegations against All Time Low were entirely anonymous from a twitter user with no evidence/support/timeline (and, yeah, a random user said there were "97 allegations" but when people asked where she got that number from, she literally admitted she made it up and deactivated her account. but that didn't stop people from just fucking running with the number) and when ATL threatened to press charges for defamation, all of a sudden this anon user disappeared with no further comment. but twitter went wild - as it often does - and completely exaggerated all the actual information given.
twitter spreads misinformation like a disease. that's just the truth. and im certainly not saying all allegations that originate on twitter are fake because they aren't but i am saying that people online need to support victims at the same time that they actually start thinking critically about things. twitter acts like it's "guilty until proven innocent" instead of the other way around.
that being said, i don't personally support ATL because i didn't listen to their music before so this doesn't affect me and - if there is the chance they're abusers, i don't really want to listen to them. But that doesn't mean i tell people to turn them off if they like them or something, or tell them to stop being fans. because it doesn't affect me and i, frankly, just don't care. people need to learn that supporting the artist and supporting the art are two totally different things. you can listen to a song you like without knowing every allegation the artist has ever faced. also, if we stopped listening to every song made by a problematic artist, I'm afraid there would be very little music left.
that's where this brings me to the fact that people are throwing around insane accusations like that ashton supports rapists which is a fucking insane thing to say about a) people who arent even confirmed/charged rapists and b) over the fact he literally just played a song by them? he was DJ-ing for an emo/pop punk night? people would have been shocked if he hadn't played All Time Low??
also, I'm sorry but are you going to boycott every single person and establishment that plays one of the biggest pop-punk bands ever?? if you walk into a store and hear it playing All Time Low, will you never shop there again?? where is the line drawn?
and finally, the whole thing pisses me off because people use it as an excuse to say that they stand with victims and that ashton is actively harming victims by playing All Time Low when, I'm sorry, but no the fuck he's not ?? and, in my opinion, this is actually does MORE harm to victims than it does good? it's all just performative crap to make yourself look "woke".
and, excuse me, but what have you actually done to genuinely fucking support victims other than tell some random rich man who you don't fucking know that he should kill himself for DJing at an emo night?? using all this time to "cancel" Ashton Irwin's privileged cishet male ass could have been spent actually raising awareness about rape or helping actual real life fucking people in your community? this level of vitriol doesn't help anyone. it's pathetic.
this is just my real problem with the internet in general is that people act like hate inspires kindness and education when it does the exact opposite.
so, that being said, i just think the hate against ashton is small-minded and embarrassing. it doesn't mean anything at all. and I'm going to keep enjoying tumblr where people aren't pathetically insane (they're funny insane) and we can just learn how to fucking enjoy things because the world is too ugly right now to not find beauty in SOMETHING, goddammit! i am in fandom to have fun. not listen to people bitch and moan about their uninformed, damaging views of what social justice is.
and i will also spend my time in my real life genuinely supporting victims of assault and abuse instead of just pretending i do on fucking fandom social media.

An essay no one asked for
It was a long stressful day today so when I was taking a break from work I decided to do a quick scroll through social media to see what had been going on today.
Unsurprisingly, I almost immediately came across a number of posts trying to shade Jimin or make fun of his fans along with the typical "fuck solos" type narratives that seem so popular these days. All I really wanted to see were cute pictures of Jimin on his way to Hungary or hear some theories on what he might be doing there.
In fact, here is a cute Jimin pic to thank you for taking the time to even read the rest of this:
Tumblr media
credit to @UpdateParkJimin
So here is a short list of a few of the things I saw just today:
Jimin is obviously copying JK by going to film something in Hungary (such a stupid theory and I saw someone post that Seventeen actually went there first)
Jimin isn't as popular as JK because he didn't get mobbed by his fans (tbh they seemed very well behaved and I was proud that they didn't act like absolute fools and put Jimin in danger)
Jimin and the remaining members should just shave their heads already and go to the military so that we can get the promised 2025 reunion (absolute nonsense and a highly problematic take)
Solos are the worst and should be eradicated from the fandom (just because you are a solo it doesn't make you toxic, just like being an ARMY doesn't mean you are a good person)
Obviously I'm sure there is a lot more than that but that is all I had the pleasure of seeing on my break. Now most of these aren't totally new, just the same story with a different font, but it doesn't make it any more fun each time they go around. I could go into detail on any of these but to be honest most of them are so shallow and stupid that it's not even worth bothering.
What I really want to focus on today is the narrative that solos are toxic and something that needs to be removed from fandom spaces. The reality is that almost everyone in the fandom has a self-professed bias that they proudly display in their bio or profile pic. Even if they have a tiny seven somewhere in there, it doesn't make that fact any less true. I think it's natural to be more drawn to one person, one type of food, one pair of shoes, etc. as your favorite and it's incredibly rare that anyone can honestly say that they "love everyone equally" (even if it's your mom saying she doesn't have a favorite child, I don't believe her).
Like I said above, I know that some solos are toxic just like I know some ARMY are toxic. Again, I think that unfortunately it's natural that some people are going to just be shitty people no matter what. What it really all comes down to is how you treat others and how you conduct yourself in these fandom spaces. I said this in my first post but I'll say it here again - you and I don't have to agree on everything to treat each other with respect and decency. But if you come into a space and harass others and generally act like an idiot then yea you should be barred from those spaces. Painting a whole group in broad brushstrokes, however, is not the solution.
Saying you "hate solos" (which let's be real - it's often just a thinly veiled way to hate on PJMs or other Jimin supporters) just means that you are stereotyping a whole group of people that hold a variety of beliefs, feelings and behaviors. If you see something truly problematic that someone is posting or saying do what you are supposed to do - block and report. If it's just that someone doesn't agree with you or if you have some sick obsession with Jimin and his success - do me a favor and turn off your phone for a bit. Calling other people names and harassing them because they don't think your fave is the greatest thing ever is just pathological.
We live in a really messy world and I will never understand the desire to make it messier for others by being a dick. A much better way to spend your time and energy in a fandom is to actually do the things that help support your bias - stream, buy, vote, and share them with others who might not have found them yet. Or be like me and write multiple paragraphs that people may never read in an attempt to call out some real bullshit that is going on.
If you read this, I appreciate really it 💗.
Here is another Jimin for your time:

Unfortunately that poll of "Your Most Hated TES Game" has got me thinking again about my level of disgust across the series and tbh i kinda need to update that so I guess I'll use this to organize my thoughts lmao
For the record, though, I haven't played EVERY TES game out there and those I did weren't finished half the time
Anyways let's get into it
Arena-Actually, lemme separate them into categories cause can you REALLY compare them all equally given how different they are
The Eldest of Scrolls
Arena: Probably the only one of the old-school games I actually finished. Big ol dungeon crawler. Magic goes boom. Hard to really "hate" the game cause I don't feel too strongly about it which is funny cause it's technically the first TES game I played (I waited a month for Oblivion to arrive in the mail)
Daggerfall: Never finished it. As I understand, though, it's Arena but More. I think this is one I'd have stronger feelings about had i actually stuck to playing it till the end
Battlespire: Arena but More but Without the Extra Roleplay. Probably more polarizing but again, barely got an hour or so in lol
Dawnstar/Shadowkey/Stormhold: Never played, but want to (especially Shadowkey) I hear they're all full of jank tho so who knows if i'd enjoy it
The Modern Scrolls
Redguard: Never played.
Morrowind: Played a full game and got through half of another, but given how hogwild I go with the modern TES games it doesn't feel like it's enough to deserve that "Worlds Biggest Hater" energy from me. I do think the "combat sucks" thing is overblown, though. Not saying it's perfect but maybe y'all are too used to the actionized games and/or using the wrong weapon for your skillset. Do not like how easy it is to get lost cause if you don't have Mark/Recall or an Intervention spell you can't just jump to a familiar location.
Oblivion: In short, it's the first TES game I truly played. So I love it for that but also hate it for its shitass levelling and whitewashing of lore/the Empire in more ways than one. I love it more now because of how streamlined Skyrim is. I hate it more now cause it was definitely a low point for Bethesda's worldbuilding. LOVE the CC and I remember spending over an hour creating my first character then immediately rerolling cause oops I overdid it. It's my problematic fave
Skyrim: Love the OCs and the adventures I made for it. Hate the fandom it grew. Love the art direction in comparison to Oblivion. Hate the "gritty" filter put over it. Hate its shitass writing and quests. Love the addition of skill trees but hate their implementation. Absolutely LOATHE the downgrade to magic (idc if it's "story integration" it still sucks) Heavily dislike how little choice you get at CC as far as your skills go. 50/50 on the cosmetic side of CC cause on one hand you can't go ham on face creation but on the other you can change things like weight and nose/eye types but on the other other hand weight is just muscle mass unless you're using the fem body where it's SLIGHTLY thicker
Spinoff Scrolls 2: Finger on the Monkey's Paw Curls
Elder Scrolls Online: This one's...complicated just by virtue of being an MMO that's STILL updating. When I first played it, it was a breath of fresh air over the previous entries not just cause of different gameplay but because having multiple characters was an actual tangible thing in-game. I'm an OC whore okay. The story of the base game felt a LOT tighter, too, given it was actually linear. 'Course, the writing always felt really good or really bad and rarely was it in-between. Either way I got very, VERY invested in it in a way I knew I would never be able to experience again and I will never forget that. The CC is Phenomenal and easily the best one in any TES game so far. (Boob and ass slider? FOR MEN TOO???)
Lore also was hit or miss, with me being VERY appreciative of them touching things that Bethesda never bothered with if it wasn't for killing (i.e. types of food, clothing, toys, etc) but also while the lore team did consult with Bethesda there were and still are some glaring oversights that feel like they shouldn't have happened (especially earlier in the game's life) Given there's still some hiccups I'm guessing the Bethesda team doesn't actually consider it very important (makes sense, the main games also bend lore for the sake of gameplay/Todd's whims A LOT, just look at Oblivion lmao) I also love love love that they touch on the weirder topics, even if sometimes it's done in a way that feels too...on the nose? idk how to explain it
Recent ESO, though? Writing got more and more bland, with some standout sidequests. Lore still hit or miss so that's whatever. I stopped caring for the gameplay after...Orsinium?...when I gave up on relearning how to play with the regular changes to combat. Gave up trying to fit my OCs stories into the new content too, even with new characters (helps that they're not as developed lol) Still play out of habit but I defo think it fell off and this recent change to the yearly content doesn't seem to be helping but then I haven't touched new content since High Isle lmao
Legends: Seemed interesting but never played it much lmao, lore/story seems to follow ESO's example of being hit or miss from what I saw
Blades: It was okay I guess. Another game I developed a habit for then promptly dropped after I finished building and upgrading my town. It's a mobile game so idk what I expected, annoying ads begging for money abounded. I did all of it without paying a single cent on my Switch and it was a slog but I did it. Pretty meh about it tbh
Castles: Looks cute. Never played it and probably never will.

For the character thing. Warren Worthington, Viktor from Arcane, and... the Corinthian
Ooh okay!
Send Me A Character and I'll Give You....
Warren
1: sexuality headcanon - oh he's very much bisexual. I'm surprised they haven't made it canon yet tbh 2: otp - canon-wise, him and Psylocke. Though is it wrong to say my own OC too? 3: brotp - I like the idea of him and Kurt making up after the fight and eventually getting to be really good friends 4: notp - I see people shipping him with Bobby and I don't really get it? No harm to those shippers just not my cup of tea 5: first headcanon that pops into my head - hates hospitals and gets severe medical anxiety after what his father put him through in his childhood. Thankfully his healing factor is usually strong enough to avoid it though. 6: favorite line from this character - "Sometimes I feel unimportant, like all I do is catch those that fall. But I look like an angel. People call me an angel. And though I'm not taking names, I'm the one who is most visually saving lives. I'm doing alright, and dammit, I'm an X-Man" 7: one way in which I relate to this character - only one? uhhhhh how about all the rampant unexplained medical issues that first sprung up at age 12 and had me locking myself in the bathroom? among a lot of other things 8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character - there's one moment in the comics where he's kinda misogynistic towards Jean? It's from one of the very first X-Men runs from the 60s 9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? - both, and I mean that genuinely. Un-brainwashed he's a bit more of a cinammon roll, but then there's everything in the Apocalypse arc...
Viktor (fair warning I haven't watched Arcane in a while)
1: sexuality headcanon - gay, possibly ace or demi 2: otp - him and Jayce I guess? I don't really have one tbh 3: brotp - Don't really have one of these either. I guess it could be fun to see him and Jinx make friends, since they're both kinda inventors and that could be interesting 4: notp - none? Look After is literally the only Arcane fic I read right now, so I don't really know who he gets shipped with to begin with 5: first headcanon that pops into my head - uhhh everyone has chronic lung problems from the pollution in the Undercity but it affects him worse because he's prone to asthma/bronchitis/other lung conditions 6: favorite line from this character - "We lost ourselves. Lost our dream. In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good." 7: one way in which I relate to this character - Joint problems babeyyy 8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character - none? Been a while since I've seen the show, don't remember any specific moments 9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? - Cinnamon roll
Corinthian
1: sexuality headcanon - not a headcanon but Neil Gaiman's confirmed he's pan and I like that 2: otp - again, do my OCs count? Nothing compares to Prometheus 3: brotp - don't really have one, but I want him and Hob to dish about Morpheus being a little bitch (/j) 4: notp - Corintheus. I get that it's popular but Dream's technically his creator and that just... gets weird to me. 5: first headcanon that pops into my head - he's got a soft spot for kids and genuinely doesn't want to hurt/scare them, it's the adults he gets fed up with 6: favorite line from this character - "You ever notice that people only ever use your name when you're in trouble? 'Get over here, Jed!'" (it's not the most impactful line of his but I think the delivery is really fun) 7: one way in which I relate to this character - on a simpler note... general Southern-ness I guess? But also the themes of being neglected/seen as inherently flawed by a parent (which... may be a repeat trend for me, just look at Warren lmao) 8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character - In the comics, when he gets remade the first time and is first relearning about the Dreaming and what happened. It's a great scene overall, there's just something about the way Dream and Matthew talk to him that feels a little weird to me. 9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? - Problematic fave, no doubt

Do you have any fave LGBTQ+ literature, tv, movies, content creators?
Okay so I'm still trying really hard to find queer books that I like because beyond Allen Ginsburg in college we weren't taught any LGBTQ+ authors/poets (except Carol Ann Duffy but the only thing I'd recommend about her work is to stay away because I hate it haha)(I probably hate it because of school tbh, sorry Carol) so anyway yeah, when it comes to this I've had to do all the searching myself and I don't really know how well I've done.
But for books:
🍂 Orlando / Virginia Woolf
I kind of can't believe Virginia Woolf wasn't on my other recommendations because The Waves is one of my favourite books (again I think you have to have a lot of patience but it is beautiful) and this one is brilliant too. A man wakes up in a woman's body and gender roles are revealed to be a little bit silly.
🍂 Thérèse and Isabelle / Violet Leduc
Erotic novella about two girls at boarding school, low-key spoke to me as a bi girl who kind of started realising her bisexuality when exploring sexuality was sort of thrust upon me by female friends at school I guess. It's just a good example of feminine sexuality and desire written by someone who knows.
🍂 Chelsea Girls / Eileen Myles
I'm very into Eileen Myles as a poet and these stories are so so so so so fucking good too!!!!
🍂 In The Dream House / Carmen María Machado
I got into this because it's what Google recs when you finish The Dangers of Smoking in Bed / Mariana Enriquez and honestly, I didn't enjoy it as much but it was still amazing. It's gothic horror af but also a really important work on abusive relationships within the queer community which the author has personal experience of and thinks isn't spoken about enough. Its really haunting, did fuck me up a bit but ultimately in a good way. But be careful because it does chronical abuse and that can be upsetting.
🍂 On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous/ Ocean Vuong
Another one where I love their poetry and think they can do no wrong tbh, I haven't finished this yet (I keep getting distracted but don't be put off by that I'm just really easily distracted!!) And I think it's wonderful idk. It's also written in quite a cool style which is always a bonus I find.
🍂 Our Wives Under the Sea / Julia Armfield
I actually only read this because I read an essay on the Exorcist and body horror by the author where she talks about her experience with having a cyst that had to be operated on twice. The essay was so stunning that I was like damn, gonna have to read that book everyone's talking about now and bestie, was worth it. The books class also.
🍂 Sister Outsider / Audre Lorde
I just think everyone should read Audre Lorde, Audre Lorde should have been on the curriculum instead of endless Simon Armitage idk. I read this and Your Silence Will Not Protect You as a 19 year old and they changed the course of my life idk.
🍂 Communion / bell hookes
Read this and broke up with my shitty ex boyfriend. It's not entirely about lesbianism but more kind of, love in general, platonic, romantic, what it really means to love. She talks about the feminist choice to choose lesbianism which was a phenomenon in the 70s and also discusses a lot to do with how misogyny impacts womens ability to love and be loved. It was a really important read for me, made all the more important because when I picked up the book my boyfriend ripped into her name and tried to be like lol what would you read her for...and then I read it and was like oh HE'S the problem.
Poetry:
🐇Howl / Allen Ginsburg
I know he's problematic but for me Howl was the prototype, the first massive poem I read and loved as an adult, the first one where language really sounded musical to me, the first poem I heard that Hurt. If you can you should listen to the YouTube of him reading it in San Francisco, that's amazing.
I also really like A Supermarket in California.
🐇 Sappho
Just all of it I guess, I think we're all eventually pushed towards Sappho and for good reason.
🐇Emily Dickinson
Read her letters to Sue, Open Me Carefully. I read these one summer between school years and I think they changed me. Her poetry in general is wonderful, some of it occasionally comes off as very old fashioned (shock horror our girl was born in the 1800s) but there's much to savour there. Also apparently there's a TV series about her life on Apple TV, I don't have Apple TV though so I haven't seen it.
As for TV and movies I don't think I have anything at all. I don't watch a lot of TV and I mostly only watch the same 5 old man movies on repeat. I think books have always been my thing, I can concentrate on reading in a way I can't concentrate on TV and also just the fact you can put your book in your pocket and get it out on the bus, in the staff room, at school, at the pub when you're waiting for your pals etc... I was always a headphones and books gal so I don't really have any recs for TV. Sorry :/
EDIT: Kill Your Darlings!!!! As in the movie, if you're into the beats you should watch it, it's very good and a real insight into what was in reality a pretty nasty little scene.

For the ask game
Levi from AoT, or if you prefer a DC character- Damian Wayne!
Oh Levi! I would have never expected him tbh, and I'm going to go for it since someone already asked about Damian
(Ask game here)
1: sexuality headcanon - I was writing gay but I'm not sure if Levi being homosexual is even a headcanon at this point. I used to be in an extremely Dudebro reddit server and even the fucking. Alt-righters. The staunch homophobes. Everyone agreed that there is not one single straight atom in that little man.
2: otp - I really like Zevi but if I have to pick just one, I go with Eruri. Levi is pretty shippable though tbh. I don't think I've ever seen anything I dislike when it comes to his ships. Levi/Miche? Sure why not. Levi/Kenny? ...I mean is that a thing? Cause if it isn't it definitely should be lmao.
3: brotp - Levihan! Despite lots of anime are about friendship and whatnot, not many duos I've seen can top Levihan in terms of people who just really fucking love and respect each other (and the chemistry is through the roof).
4: notp - I know there's going to be people from the backstage who want me to say Ereri but nah, I don't hate it. Surely it's not my favorite ship but you know what, 20 yo Eren who stopped giving a fuck harassing his smol Captain works in my book. I think I'm not into anything in which Levi is a top, though. It just doesn't work with my brain.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head - He's been drinking tea for as far as he remembers because there's no way any Underground dweller can just drink water down there, they need to boil the shit out of it and use whatever they have to give it even the bare minimum of flavor.
6: favorite line from this character - It's got to be "Don't die - survive! ...who am I kidding, they're all going to die like flies..." from Return to Shiganshina, it floors me every time.
7: one way in which I relate to this character - I'm uhhhhh short? I'm still taller than him tho I'm pretty sure lmao
8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character - The hardcore character assassination Isayama subjected him to when he made him choose Armin over Erwin for the Titan serum. There's only one man, huh. Fuck off Hajime, I hope kids pee in your Onsen.
9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? - Whoever calls Levi problematic is either under 16 or has read an entirely different manga.

tell me about your baldur's gate favs ill definitely not ask my sister about it and judge you :)
(jk but go off)
gjsjshdshf I will go off thank you (also I haven't gotten past the first stage yet but I've collected all the main cast so far, so, have your sister take that into account I guess)
blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): This is so hard to choose! Like genuinely I just can't. My top guys are Karlach, Lae'zel, Astarion, Wyll, and Gale. It's most of the cast.
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): Karlach! She so goddamn cute, and so fun. I know everything ever calls her a ball of sunshine, but they're all correct. She's peak himbo energy in a woman and so much more. If you leave her idle she starts dancing. I wanna buy her icecream.
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): Wyyyyylllll. He was a little boring at first just for being so noble with no obvious bastard tendencies, but after having him in my party for a bit I've realized he can be a little shit and I'm so much more attached now. I like that he actually cares and wants to do good, and as always I appreciate when a character has a lot of complications under the surface that are hard to spot immediately. I don't know what his whole deal is yet but I'm intrigued, I'll probably try to romance him in some playthrough. I don't see nearly enough fan content of him and it's a tragedy.
Also Lae'zel fits here I think? She doesn't seem to be as popular and that sucks because I'm obsessed with her. Weirdly enough kinda reminds me of Jamil if he was raised worse and like 80% more unhinged. I love that, despite the outward rabid warrior impression, for her culture she actually seems to be kind of a nerd? Girl read literally an entire library, she's insecure about not being strong enough and failing to live up to expectations, she fantasizes about being accepted by her own people and on some level seems to doubt that it'll happen, it's interesting. She's also hilarious to me, and I enjoy the blatant hostility tbh. Eventually I will convince her to fall in love with at least one of my Tavs, I need to know what she's like when she opens up, if she opens up, and I wanna see what her good end is like
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): My man Withers. Memeable af. I haven't had any use for him so far but I love having him around because he cracks me up.
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): Let's hear it for white boy of the year, wettest cat, most unfortunate little bastard man with the biggest saddest eyes, and absolutely-totally-not-a-vampire-he-swears-on-his-own-grave: Astarion!! This is not a surprise. Your sister is probably sick of hearing about him. Everyone on the internet is probably sick of hearing about him. Half the fans hate him for reasons that range from fair enough, to homophobic, to entirely fabricated. The other half are completely obsessed with him for reasons that range from fair enough, to fetishistic, to entirely fabricated. I do genuinely feel that he's an incredibly valuable character and gives a level of honest nuance to abuse representation that needed to be shown. I'm glad they chose to portray his bad qualities and keep the good more subtle, he feels real and it's meaningful. He's also really funny and fun to get to know. I started romancing him on accident by trying to banter, and I'm enjoying that route so far. I love how bitchy he is and how hypocritical he ends up being about acts of kindness. I wanna see both his good and bad ends. (also I will never stop laughing at how bad he is at hiding that he's a vampire, like every single step of the way)
Honorable mention to Gale for also portraying a severely under acknowledged form of abuse and trauma! The way he expects and accepts mistreatment, the cruel dialog options that you are offered in response to him, and the reaction of fans who find him obnoxious or cumbersome all work so well to showcase the way society treats both addiction and autism to different degrees? Not to mention the reaction to his grooming, which can get pretty nasty. He's not as entertaining to me as the others, but he's important. I don't have the energy to really elaborate on my thoughts here and I know they're scrambled but yeah, I appreciate Gale.
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): idk, that one tiefling wizard guy with the shit attitude, I wouldn't wanna be cruel but I'd fuck with him a little just to get his head out of his ass. Also, more maliciously, I'd put Raphael back in the plinko from whence he came.
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): The orchestrators of everyone's tragic backstories. Let's be real, who can pick just one?

Can I share an unpopular opinion? I don't really think that Gwyn was as good a mother as most fan fiction tends to portray. She always gave me the impression of being too consumed with being a hotshot lawyer than a mother. And she did both Owen and TK really dirty when she was in Texas. She knew damn well she wasn't going to stay in Texas permanently (a posh Manhattan snob like Gwyn wouldn't last long in Texas) and she used Owen to get what she needed at the time. She was literally going to go back to New York without even telling TK if she hadn't been caught when he came home to find her stuff packed. Even when she "saved" him and sent him to rehab it felt like it was more about her feelings than about TK. I know Owen has issues, but he always struck me as being a much better parent than Gwyn.
Sure! You're welcome to share your opinions on the show. I don't know if you're looking for my view on what you've said or if you just wanted to vent or start a general discussion with others who might see this (which is fine), so please skip over what follows if you're not interested:
I really like Gwyn – and Owen, Andrea and Gabriel. They are all my problematic faves; none of them are simple, all of them have grit, and I love the depiction of parents-with-adult-children on the show. That said, in my own fics, I've portrayed Gwyn as a beloved, loving, much missed person who had to enter a crack den to save her son. I also see some of what you're saying, like she was always going to want to be back in Manhattan, even if a pregnancy with Enzo hadn't happened. I think it was always the plan to say goodbye to TK before she left, though. She just needed to compartmentalise at first and get far enough along in her move so he wouldn't be able to talk her out of it (headcanon, obvies). She said she and Owen want to talk to TK about it together (but I love TK’s reaction to that – it giving him flashbacks to when he was seven but this time he gets to stand up for himself).
Tbh it doesn't bother me that she's a hotshot lawyer any more than it bothers me that Owen is highly career driven, and presumably Gabriel too. We don't know about Andrea job-wise, but we do know she’s an attentive mother who let her son down in a big way nonetheless. With TK in a much better place, and an adult, Gwyn can focus on what she wants and make money doing something she loves (can’t relate). She also deeply loves TK, and I can only imagine how difficult it is emotionally to balance having kids and hugely busy high-stakes jobs. You can't be la-de-dah about being a parent, but you also can't fudge being a lawyer. You have to go H.A.M. Fun fact: I'm the sprog of a busy complicated yuppie who I constantly disappoint lol, so I have some skin in the game when it comes to trying to figure all this out, as well as forgive certain things and find peace. (All this is furthering a ridiculous notion I have about bringing Gwyn and Gabriel back as ghosts with unfinished son-business 😅, as I contrast them with each other in my head a lot). I'm not a huge fan of the pregnancy storyline, partly because the timeline drives me bananas. Wish they'd done it a different way. Generally, I'm up for exploring Gwyn's complexities and flaws more.
Ooof…. I strongly disagree re. taking TK to rehab being more about Gwyn’s feelings than about his wellbeing. She was at her wit's end and I see it as a last-ditch attempt to save TK; by that point into TK's addiction, I can imagine she and Owen were both hugely fatigued. It's immensely difficult to deal with loved ones with addiction. It causes frustration and anger that all ultimately comes from a place of love and care and just wanting the nightmare to stop for everybody involved, with the best possible outcome (recovery), and at some point you’re running on empty. Both Gwyn and Owen dealt with TK the only way they knew how. It's impossible at times to know what to do, and everything seems wrong. I recently rewatched 3x08 very closely because I was working scenes into a fic, and I found it highly effective and emotional. To me, their love as mother and son was crystal clear and beautifully played. She flew from New York to California and then immediately flew back again. Imo, that is something else – something totally desperate.
Owen and TK's relationship is what drew me to the show in the first place, and I also like that it's loving and close but also has its issues. Owen, Gwyn and TK have all been through a lot together and apart, they all have their flaws, and it makes them fascinating characters. I like that nobody is perfect – everyone is trying their best but messing up, sometimes big-time (this I can relate to...)
Tl;dr - I like our hot mess hotshot lawyer and her hot mess ex and son and the hot mess in-laws she never got to know. Really like the lilac jumper she wore as a spectre leaning against the tree, so shout out to that as well. You've inspired me to think more deeply going forward about her as a fic writer (I have a couple of WIPs in which she is important) so 👍

What do you think the fandom for your character would be like? Are they a fan favorite, a love to hate villain, derided for whatever reason, or something else?
By contrast, what would their haters dislike about your character? Is it a petty complaint? A mischaracterization of the character or their intentions? Are they just a woman in a largely male-centric series?
What is the quote between your character and their love interest/whoever they might be shipped with that their fans would latch onto? ( i am here...for taiquinn content any day :DDD )
Tumblr media
What do you think the fandom for your character would be like? Are they a fan favorite, a love to hate villain, derided for whatever reason, or something else? This is tough; I don't really know how other people see him ! But to me . . . I know that I do not see Tai as being the 'main character' or fan fave in a potential narrative. I know if I were ever going to pitch a show using my OC's, he wouldn't be the main character: not in a bad way, like it's not that I don't think he can carry that role!! It's just that I think his best and most natural position is ... as part of a duo. Or part of a group. I think he's the type of character who may not nessecarily be the fan favorite, but if you took him out of the cast . . . the group would suddenly feel very off. The chemistry would be off, and it feels a lot emptier without him. He contributes a lot to the 'heart' of the group -- perhaps more than anyone realizes, until he's not there, and his absense is suddenly felt very strongly. I think he is a glue or essential member that most people like, but only a rare niche part of the fandom LOVES to the point of like, caring enough to write fic about or make fanworks that focus on him, heh. but those niche people who do obsess over him individually are super cool ; ) bahahah By contrast, what would their haters dislike about your character? Is it a petty complaint? A mischaracterization of the character or their intentions? Hmm... well, the way he experiences love can be very intense. Obsessive. All-consuming. Unhealthy; problematic, sometimes. I know from feedback I've seen & gotten before that some people understandably don't like that... and that's fine ! His personality is the result of trauma that manifested in a variety of ways: some of it unfolded in a positive way, into healthy coping mechanisms, but a lot of it . . . very much did not. But ... I'm not the kind of writer who cares about giving all my characters positive character devolpment that makes them their 'best', healthiest self. Some people say that's romantasizing or 'normalizing' unhealthy attachments, but, idk ... I think it's a 'to each their own' thing. Because for myself, I prefer seeing characters/relationships I can relate to in media, rather than characters/relationships I aspire to be/have? I hope that makes some sense... But tbh, I really wouldn't care if anyone dislikes him, for any reason— whether it's a valid reason or not. ( Excluding racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. Then ur a lil bitch baby. ) But other than that... not every character is for everyone ???? And I mean that both in the sense that you can't possibly expect everyone to like your characters, but also literally: not every character is written for ME to like. There are characters out there that I LOATHE or feel absolutely nothing for: but they reach their intended audiennce: other people in the fandom will feel represented by that same character, and/or that character brings them great comfort/entertainment... so yeah. I truly do not care when someone hates my characters JASJAJ. It doesn't offend or bother me at all; I will simply tip my hat to them and suggest they seek out other characters who do speak to them!! : D
What is the quote between your character and their love interest/whoever they might be shipped with that their fans would latch onto? ( i am here…for taiquinn content any day :DDD ) BLESS U, FERRE, for I too am here for Taiquinn content any day !! I have no idea what quotes potential shippers would latch onto ( if there's one thing I learned from answering these asks, it's that I actually have no idea what fandoms like & how they perceive things??? ksksksk WHY DID I EVEN REBLOG THIS MEME???????? ) , but to give this an answer, I went through their threads and found many quotes from Lynnie's replies that I love, hehe. THERE'S MANY I COULD PICK, but I think I'll say this one 'cause it summarizes/depicts many things about them that I love <3 “I missed that. This. Us, doing what we do best.” Trouble? Violence? She means being side by side, connected, looking after each other - what was taken away from them when they were apart. “I said something earlier. Something that I know hurt you. I keep on thinking and… I don’t know if it’s you I’m truly mad at. I believe I’m mad at.. This world. This world that rejects us, that rejects the life we’re living in a way we’re never safe to exist together. A life that’s made of This. Of having to run away.” She pauses. Each one of her pause leaves her voice suspended in the atmosphere, with a thought, a look, a caress on his hand. “But… I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.” I think this shows the duality of why they are so good together. Taiquinn work so well together because they have shared ideals, a shared goal, and shared interests. They both want to fix the world, because they consider it broken and unjust. They both enjoy thrills, action; they like playing games and challenging others. It's easy to see how they were drawn to each other and why they make a good team: they have very obvious compatibilities right there on the surface, which anyone with eyes can see asjajj But Quinn also mentions their more private inner world together, which is not necessarily apparent to others: their relationship is not all about how fun it is being rebellious and revolutionary and beating people up together; it's also about them looking after each other. (The 'something' that hurt Tai was her saying he had 'abandoned' her. And that hurt him deeply because... ) Another thing that bonds and glues Taiquinn to each other on a more intimate level is that they became each other's safe place. The safe, warm, loving home that neither of them experienced before they found each other. Both of them grew up in unstable homes without ever feeling safe, without ever feeling truly seen or heard, and without a family they could rely on... and so they did for each other what nobody else did for them. They protect each other. They can trust each other completely. They understand each other. They built the home and family that never had, with each other. So they have these two very strong reasons they are bonded together, and sometimes those two things are even at odds !! For example, they both want to change the world for the better: but it's hard to 'look after each other' when you're always making yourselves targets... 🤔 But despite how complicated that dilemma is, they make it work, because yes their lives are constantly full of chaos and things blowing up and unpredictability... but THEY remain always there for each other: the one stable, reliable, trustworthy, dependable thing you can always count on is that Tai will be there for Quinn and vice versa. IS WHAT I'M SAYING MAKING ANY SENSE IDK I feel like I just rambled a lot, but basically. tl;dr: they are chaos gremlins with a cause, and they love it, and wouldn't have it any other way............ but the one constant, reliable, faithful thing in each others live is their love and trust in one another. and they also wouldn't have that any other way, either. so it's like they get the best of both worlds: the revolution, AND the comfort of each other < 3

👀👀👀 For the bingo, I'd like to hear your thoughts on Aki (csm just to be safe because its quite a common name haha), Makima, Isagi, Kaiser, Reo, and Mikoto.
.. OH BOY I HOPE YOU'RE READY TO HEAR SOME OF THE WORST TAKES EVER
Tumblr media
.. i'm going to be honest. I GENUINELY FORGET AKI EXISTS SOMETIMES. like my brain just goes "uhhh remember denji and power's big bro" and im like "OH". if you remember my akutagawa bingo, i think you can see a pattern which can only be described as "i am so sorry but i just cannot make myself care about brooding dark-haired anime boys" 😭😭 (dan heng from hsr is one of the few exceptions) idk i really do think his story was sad but i'm also kinda like. i was too focused on other things when i read and watched csm JSKDSLASLSL. "what things" well.. let's talk about the next character on our list.
Tumblr media
feel free to shoot me or stab me for this. but yes, THIS WOMAN IS ACTUALLY MY FAV CSM CHARACTER 😭 (along with kobeni and asa) i just love evil women! and i love well-written evil women! and i have so much to say about her. i genuinely love the way she was written and she's a very realistic character, but i am not a fan of how the csm fandom just. doesn't care about her character at all and cares only about her crimes and i'm not even talking about her basically destroying the whole world and killing SO MANY PEOPLE, i'm talking about her relationship with denji. which is, OF COURSE, bad and extremely toxic and unhealthy, especially considering that denji is a minor. however, i think seeing that as her only "personality trait" is so.. it just doesn't sit right with me. like i would be okay with people talking about everything she's done and analyzing it and going "yeah she's still a bad person even if she's well-written and deep" but i am NOT okay with people going "yeah she's a groomer and also she killed my faves :(" like. i don't know. if you don't want to interact with such "problematic" content just don't read it? though i'm gonna be honest i'm pretty sure most csm fans are very young and from what i heard, a lot of them haven't even read/watched any "dark" content before csm. me picking "they are innocent if u ignore their various crimes" is obv a joke, i definitely agree that makima is a terrible person, but also. i can't deny that she's pretty <3 and also the fact that she just needed a hug breaks my heart every time i think about it. i actually have a plushie of her too! one of the best purchases i've ever made, she stares at me with her big ol' yellow eyes and i do everything she says. thank you for motivating me to do my hw, queen.
Tumblr media
but enough talking about my faves. honestly.. i don't really care about isagi? which actually makes me very sad bc i found him very relatable at first but then i kinda got bored? like i can't even describe his personality, i can only say "uhhh he's friendly with other guys unless he's playing football and also. uh. he likes football"? and ig that can also be very fun and i'm usually a huge fan of characters that usually act nice but also have a very rude and mean side, but isagi is just. idk, i don't really find him that interesting and those moments when he's like, busy analyzing everything and coming up with strategies.. honestly, i just skipped them JSDKSLSLS. I WANTED MORE ACTION OKAY. i think his relationship with bachira is cute though!
Tumblr media
BACK TO MY FAVES. i would bite kaiser's head off if i ever got the chance but he's also one of my fav characters. yeah. he's so cool, i love his design sm, i need to look like him. i want to get into his head and figure out what's wrong with him. i want to squeeze him and crush him and tear him apart, but i also love him so much. tbh i don't know anything about the new chapters, but i'd love to learn more about him, it's like, at the same time, i want him to have a backstory that's a little bit (or maybe VERY) sad, but i also kinda want him to be like that just bc he can (even though i'm pretty sure it was implied that he does have a reason for acting like that). and yes, i love his relationship dynamic with ness. yeah.
Tumblr media
reo. another fave of mine. though i actually didn't like him that much when i first saw him, but. i knew deep down that a purple boy will become one of my faves. love this gay disaster of a man, everything that happened between him and nagi was more entertaining than every single romance movie that i've ever watched. i want him to get better and realize that he's capable of doing great things without him. i also want him to become even more dependent on him for angst reasons. it's hard. and i honestly both love and hate that moment when he decides to return to nagi right after he finally started to get some character development, because YES I WANT HIM TO GROW AND I WANT HIS PERSONALITY TO BE SOMETHING OTHER THAN "if i spend at least one day w/o nagi i will die", but also it's very realistic and as someone who was in MULTIPLE (platonic) relationships that were exactly like his relationship with nagi.. that moment was very painful. in a good way. and again, i wanna look like him.
Tumblr media
my relationship with mikoto is very hard to explain bc it's like. in theory, i'd love to learn more about him. i'd love to stan him. but also.. i'm not a fan of how the fandom pretty much makes his DID his only personality trait? maybe i'm just on the wrong side of the fandom, but i rarely see any posts about his other traits? again, i'd love to learn more bc i have a feeling that we have a lot in common, but. but yeah. i'm a huge fan of his minigram version though <3 so silly. so squishy. so funny. (honestly, me being salty that almost all convos about mikoto usually discuss his DID is so funny to me now that after three therapy sessions i've found out that i'm most likely a system SJHSJDKDLSL like bro THAT IS YOU) about "i would push them down the stairs" i mean it in a silly playful way :) like i want him to fall down and scream in a very cartoony and funny way.

11 and 25 for the dangerous game >:3
thanks mal! <33 (from this ask game)
11. number of fandom-related words you've filtered
just 3 on this account cuz it's my personal, none on my fanart archiving blog, and 7 on twitter though funnily enough half of those are stranger things-related from a period where i really couldn't escape stranger things. nothing against it—i just only want to see sp stuff and i guess there was a significant enough overlap for a bit
25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing
generally a lot of things that annoy me stem from the trend of complaining about "fetishization" (yaoi or just shipping culture i guess?) or acting like people are doing anything wrong or in need of pathologizing for interacting with fandom in a way that was totally routine a decade ago. that they need to show they're sufficiently queer and not focused on sexuality in any ~weird way. honestly, i find that sort of thing easy enough to block out on its own (there's more of it on twitter but i just look at art over there). young people often have shame about sexuality and it's none of my business or anything i would ever argue with someone about. i just disengage
it's more the reactions people have to being told they're doing something problematic. there's this endless chain of moral rationalizations for why it's ok to like the thing that piques one's interest because actually it's woke and you don't get it, i'm gay enough to like standard yaoi tropes. some real gay people are like this! you know.. like, why engage this in the first place? why lend any credence to this viewpoint by debating it on its own terms? you don't need to justify yourself to anyone. just keep yaoifying those fake guys
people end up making really weird generalizations about gender, sexuality, mental health, drug use, etc. in an effort to enjoy the old 00s yaoi tropes. to all those who do this, I'm here to tell you you can just enjoy whatever and no one can stop you. personally, even as a smut writer, i like when characters feel whole and often enjoy a fic less if i feel someone is being reduced to gendered stereotypes or flattened in some other way that doesn't interest or challenge me. but those are my own personal feelings and highly subjective besides
i also don't think sharing some broad identity marker with the character you are writing actually shields you from poor characterization. people can "fetishize" themselves easily (and sometimes that's what people want to read/write, and who cares), and it can be hard to write well-developed characters! i just like to read and view things i enjoy on the merits of the work alone
general "you can't ship that" and "he would never top/bottom" sentiments are similarly grating. people can and do ship literally anything and it can't be stamped out so idk why people waste their time streisand effecting ships/dynamics they don't like. with both of these, there's a sense of deluded entitlement, like if people weren't making stuff for their ship/dynamic, they'd be making it for yours. i promise you that that type of hectoring actually just drives people away from what you like. in general, people are often quite fixed in who their faves are and how they like them in romantic/sexual situations. but for those like me, who really can potentially like anything if sold in a way i find compelling, this stuff really confounds and frustrates me. people are bad at getting what they want because of this need to emotionally react without thinking through the way it might impact others. sad stuff to see from adults in particular tbh

You know I gotta ask for Pyrrha lol
Yeah, Pyrrha for the ask game, let's go.
1: sexuality headcanon
I like to headcanon Pyrrha as a biromantic demisexual.
2: otp
Gonna have to say Pyrrha x Weiss for this one, but Pyrrha x Blake is a close second! Pyrrha and Weiss just have great potential as romantic partners, and their first season clips together so easily read as Weiss having a crush on Pyrrha and Pyrrha being like "Oh pretty disaster girl, I can fix you." XD
3: brotp
Pyrrha and Nora! I already talked about them recently, but they could be such close friends!
4: notp
Can I say 'anything involving a Jaune harem?' I don't mind Pyrrha x Jaune on its own if it's done well (in a way that doesn't treat Pyrrha as the prize to be won or Jaune's cheerleader,) but every time I see some Jaune x Pyrrha, Weiss, Blake, Ruby, Neo, Glynda, Willow, Cinder all at the same time any of that... Ugh. That's so embarrassing.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
I saw a fanart once of Pyrrha and Neptune as kids together living in Argus, and now I love the headcanon that they went to combat school together and actually know each other pretty well. (Of course, in my headcanons, Neptune isn't nearly as sucky. XD) Oh wait, no, I want to talk about Pyrrha's parents! Because the whole monument to Pyrrha seems like something Pyrrha really wouldn't want, I've started headcanoning that her parents were the ones who fought to get that statue made but that they both never really listened to Pyrrha and had kind of pushed her all the time growing up, and were sort of similar to pageant parents. So even though Pyrrha loved them, she also had very complicated feelings towards them, and felt like they didn't know her well, which made her very eager to establish a found family at Beacon (and to latch onto possible mentor/parental figures.)
6: favorite line from this character
"I'll do it. If you believe this will help humanity, then I will become your fall maiden." This line is so good at further establishing what we already know about Pyrrha. She's trusting, she's a follower, she's kind, she's good, she wants to do the right thing because it's the right thing, she doesn't even ask for an explanation because when someone tells her that people need help and this will help, she jumps in with both feet before even thinking through the implications. It's both a sign of some flaws (it's pretty naive to trust people just because they're your teachers and some guy, it's pretty reckless to let people do experiments on you without even asking very many questions,) and proof of her deep goodness and her good intentions. Also I like to think that Pyrrha looked at Amber and felt a connection to her, something drawing her to Amber, and felt like she understood Amber in that moment even though they'd never met, and then her being so willing to take on that power and that responsibility was also for Amber and for her legacy. (Side note, the concept of Amber is slept on both in the show and in the fandom.)
7: one way in which I relate to this character
We both seem to be attracted to disaster people? Lol. But in all seriousness, I feel like I do share some minor similarities to her like her tendency to be protective (I will break his legs) and her over-polite awkwardness and slight passive aggressive tendencies. XD
8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character
The romance with Jaune. As I said before, I don't mind Arkos in theory. But the way it's done in canon? Gross tbh. They more or less invented Pyrrha for Jaune, made the majority of her story revolve around him, didn't give her real connections with other characters, used her death to prop up his character in a very fridgey way without letting anyone else grieve, and in volume six they gave her a tribute she wouldn't have wanted to remind everyone of how sad Jaune is... And Pyrrha never got any song that wasn't about her feelings for Jaune. Yikes!
9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
One of the only cinnamon rolls left in this show! Pyrrha may have her minor flaws, but by and large, she's a good person who tries to treat everyone well (except for Cardin the bigoted asshole bully which is a good thing) and she spent her life trying to help everyone. Rip that Pyrrha never got to connect with Penny because they would've been the ultimate cinnamon roll redhead duo.

The “in context” of Hazards statement doesn’t make it any better. Human rights aren’t a political issue. You’re just trying to make yourself feel better because you run an account dedicated to him/he’s your favorite. It was a shitty thing for him to say. And just to make it clear for you, him (which he’ll never see) and your followers;
HUMAN RIGHTS AREN’T A POLITICAL ISSUE.
Seems like you don't really know me or this blog at all. Otherwise you would know that I fully agree with "human rights aren't a political issue". I've criticised both FIFA for how they handle, well, pretty much everything tbh. Or the UEFA or the FIA for that matter bc I've been vocal on sports associations' shitty handling on homophobia, racism and other human rights issues long before this tournament started. And I've also criticised the DFB for having no backbone and not going through with the OL-armband. While I think that the DFBs gesture during the team photo was better than nothing, I still think they're fucking cowards and pretentious for bowing down to FIFA. You can believe me when I say that my disappointment and anger is immeasurable, especially as a queer mixed-raced woman.
Did I say it was a good thing for him to joke about it at all? No. Did I say that I agree with every word he said? No. I am disappointed he and the other captains did not wear the armband after all. My point when I shared the full interview was that I think it does paint a different picture, even if it's still not what you and I would have wanted to hear. I think that if we criticise someone for a quote, that we should at least know the whole context. The shortened version, made it look like he went to criticise the German national team for their gesture, maybe even unprompted, and as if he thinks they shouldn't have done it because he's against making a "political message". But it wasn't unprompted, he was asked about it. He said he actually liked the gesture. He said HE does not feel comfortable talking about "political" issues and that he thinks there are other people out there who are better suited for speaking out. And even though I would love to see more athletes speak out, I do not think it is every athlete's responsibility to do so. My focus on this issue is mainly on FIFA, UEFA and the national football associations who all have written in their statutes to condemn homophobia, racism and any other forms of discrimation, but still don't take action.
Also, I'm fine with you criticising me for something you think you can read from one single post of mine. But I suggest you don't make any assumptions about my followers not being on the right side when it comes to human rights violations.
And finally, now that we've covered the important issues, I want to thank you for amusing me by saying I'm running a blog dedicated to Eden Hazard and that he's my favourite. Quite frankly, before this issue, I can't remember the last time I mentioned his ass and I hate his club. Not that I would have to justify myself to anyone, especially not to someone hiding on anon, for being a fan of any athlete. I do have problematic faves, but Eden is not one of them.

Main Ship: probably Wittecest (caleb wittebane x Philip wittebane) but if I also include my old stuff, vaalink (vaati x link), going off of what I make/made the most content for. They're faves.
Main ot3: I guess my main would be caleb x Philip x Evelyn. I don't have a lot of ot3s but I need more
Maim Notp: I don't have many but I'm really not into lumity at all.
Main crackship: hard choice mostly because I don't have a lot but in some ways bee guy x tingle is a crackship and I used to he The Beengle guy.
Old ship I still clean to dearly: sinbad x jafar from Magi labyrinth/kingdom of magic and the adventure of sinbad. They got me into shipping and I ADORE them still.
Ship I hated at first but am okay with now: tbh usually its the other way around, I can't think of any.
Crossover ship: Belos (owl house) x Vaati (zelda), and Young Philip (owl house) x Young Link (majoras mask specifically) are good
Biggest polycule: (this is in order) willow x gus x vee x luz x hunter x amity (owl house)
Smallest polycule: caleb x Philip x Evelyn (owl house)
Crachship that became serious ship: bee guy x tingle. There is lore.
Ship that most people ship but you ship different: huntlow. I don't personally ship them in a romantic way at all but they're like a brotp I think.
Most problematic ship: honestly that's hard to answer because I don't have many tame ships. But maybe empgold (belos x hunter, owl house) due to it being incest, underage, abusive, and hot, and I want it to be very codependant.
Most "normal" ship: honestly probably any of my star trek ships. I'll go with Data x Geordi (next generation) because they're my fave tbh
Most popular ship: probably empgold which is why I dont draw it much lol
One that I ship even though I don't know why: honestly all of them can fall here (if you exclude "hot" as a reason) but I guess link x king of red lions (zelda, wind waker)
I shall tag whoever wants to do this but also @fenwis @dumpster-lizard @theforgxttenshade @yanderesoulmate @genet-teneg

Elektra Natchios 👀
1. sexuality headcanon → bisexual queen 🫶
2. otp → ELEKTRA/MATT ofc like the man can be shipped with literally anybody but there’s something so personal about him and elektra... also elodie young is a *great* actress who had an amazing chemistry with charlie cox, so there’s that, too.
3. brotp → uhm, i wouldn’t really know, elektra wasn’t shown to have any significant relationship beside matt and stick?
4. notp → don’t really have one.
5. first headcanon that pops into my head → i have an headcanon of her and matt meeting as kids and training together with stick 🫶
6. favorite line from this character → “you can’t mask that ass. i’d know it anywhere" girl 😭
7. one way in which i relate to this character → uh, i don't know about that tbh...
8. thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character → nothing she’s perfect she could kill an entire town and i would still support her
9. cinnamon roll or problematic fave? → probably middle ground because despite having killed people she isn’t the bad guy but as i said i forgive her <3
