Rayaari pregnancy headcanons for the soul:

Namaari was the one to bring up the idea of kids a couple years after they got married

She’s always known she wanted a kid or two

Raya was pretty apprehensive to the idea at first, mainly because she lacked a mother figure growing up and was worried she’d be a bad mom because of it

(Boun and Noi softened her up to the idea because she loves them more than she likes to admit)

After much reassurance, Raya was on board on the condition that they would only have one

Namaari was more than okay with that

So they started looking into adoption for obvious reasons but they’re a little sad they can’t have a child together that’s biologically theirs

I think that's an interesting question.

Before diving in to it, I want to note there isn't really a right or wrong answer to the Mask question. It's a matter of POV. The Mask is a nuke. For a country that has nukes, the question the leader is asked is "Hey, will you give me a nuke to fight in my world [that does not have nukes]? It could help me stop an enemy who *may* potentially come after you or it could arm them with a nuke to use against you" (and even if the Asteri did come after Prythian, Nesta would have the "nuke" and the Asteri wouldn't). From that POV, I'd say any leader is kind of stupid to give up the nuke. Of course, from Bryce's POV, it's "You have a nuke, that's my only chance to save my family against any enemy we're badly outmatched against, please help me."

Now, I'm not sure if this is a question getting at how Rhys would react to a woman he loves and likes giving up the nuke/Mask versus a woman he dislikes... or a woman who (although she says she's not part of his court, does, in fact, live there and is giving Sovereign Citizen Energy when she says the rules don't apply) (and I'm not saying this as an "I dislike Nesta" thing; I really enjoyed her in HOFAS, but that did stand out) giving out the nuke/Mask versus his equally powerful ruler.

In this scenario, I'm also going to assume it's a case of Feyre not consulting Rhys, though there's nothing to support she wouldn't tell him (don'ttalkprengancydon'ttalkpregnancy). The two off them have historically made plans with each other and can mind speak/winnow, so all else being equal they probably would be talk.

We'll also assume Feyre doesn't try to pry into Bryce's mind because honestly I don't really remember if she has that power or not.

But set that aside--Feyre has met Bryce in place of Nesta, and when the time comes, Feyre decides to give Bryce the Mask without telling Rhys and he finds out.

Yes, it would be different. Because Feyre's ruling authority is on part with Rhys's. Even if they disagree, one is not inherently right. They might argue. But Rhys wouldn't treat his wife that way, and he would not treat the High Lady of the Night Court that way, especially after how he has personally witnessed the lengths she will go to to keep his family/court safe. I'd also say on a yelling level, I don't think we've ever seen Rhys yell at Feyre or chew her out.

Tbh Rhys would probably be grateful Feyre didn't just hop through and start throwing hands.

Anyway. Interesting question. I'm sure the fandom will continue to debate the ethics of this question, and I think it makes for a good conversation that is thankfully not about shipping. There isn't really a correct answer.

My best advice? Be comforting and calm, but not smothering. Don't push her to talk about anything if she says she doesn't want to, offer cuddles and/or food while watching old re-runs or starting a new show. Offer to listen if she needs it, just let her know that you're there for her if she chooses to open up and talk about it. If not, smile and respect her boundaries, give her a few kisses, then start talking about something else to take her mind off of it

Don't do all of that in one sitting though. You can do different things for each time, and be slow about it. If you do all of that at once, you'll smother her

It’s interesting because a lot of the language Satoru is using is really selfish. It’s always what y/n didn’t do to keep their relationship good, naomi was there for him and helped him forget because she was an escape from all the responsibilities. it was only when he was put face to face with the reality of y/n moving on from him that he really started to reflect on how much he affected her.

i wanna say that satoru’s mom played a huge part in the rift between them. satoru doesn’t want to see his mom as she really is, so it’s easy to blame y/n. he mentioned previously about how his mom actively isolated y/n during family events and now saw her threatening to take his child away from her mother after physically assaulting her? i’m happy he stood up for y/n and set boundaries! it’s a START. at the end of the day, even if y/n and satoru aren’t endgame it’s so so important for the two of them to be able to coparent and provide the best for yui.

because satoru’s mom was behind introducing naomi to him, i imagine that she’s going to feed her poison about y/n and im worried that she’s going to convince naomi to try and baby trap him. 😭 hoping naomi doesn’t fall for it but… naomi knows something is wrong. i think his mom is projecting her hatred she probably had for her husbands first wife onto y/n and she feels some sort of kinship with naomi now. that’s my theory at least!

There are some people who just straight up hate Alicent like it's their religion or something. On twitter it's basically like a cult to Rhaenyra and it isn't helped by the fact that there's a lot of Bot accounts dedicated to it. You can't even get a word in edge wise in debate before someone is like "YOU JUST SUPPORT THE PATRIARCHY!" and "THIS SHOW ISN'T FOR YOU!" ... Reddit is just as bad.

When we get to "Blood and Cheese" and people start making excuses for what Rhaenyra does ... I'll probably lose faith in humanity.

I seriously just don't get the Alicent hate. I myself adore her character and think she is absolutely in the right and completely understand where Criston comes from. Though, I wish they'd do more with his character after the time jump rather than being spiteful all the time. I'd love to see a sweet moment between him and Alicent since they're so clearly extremely close personally that even Lord Commander Westerling is starting to notice how deep their connection is.

Though I do hear that we're gonna get some nice moments between Criston and Aemond in the yard, that their sparing match is gonna be "Westeros version of a father and son playing catch" which would be nice.

If you're asking my opinion for where all the Alicent hate is coming from, I think that it is indicative of two things.

1.) The manipulation of Western Culture into programming youth - especially young women - into thinking that anyone - but in particular women - who supports and champions traditional values, family, and hierarchy are evil and oppressors and all that leftist shit.

And because Alicent is a rule follower and believes in the system, she must be an evil bitch that is keeping down the "YAS QUEEN" Rhaeynra who breaks all the rules of society and is progressive.

I think they see Alicent and Rhaeynra as kind of parables of two sides of modern women. Alicent the traditional conservative woman and Rhaeynra the progressive modern woman.

But I think the writers do a good job of showing the failings of both. Alicent being naive and fearful of the chaos of Rhaenyra's disregard for the rules which their society is based off of which is leading to dangerous paranoia. Meanwhile, Rhaenyra is learning that doing whatever she wants when she wants isn't gonna fly in the real world. And because of her selfishness her children have and will suffer - greatly - mostly from her own bad life choices made in sheer arrogance.

Remember, in the end, by Game of Thrones. Alicent is remembered as being ghost that haunts the Queen's apartments of the Red Keep. But Rhaenyra is remembered as a vile monster and an example of what not to be as a ruler. Both Dany and Egg are ashamed of being related to Rhaenyra and more than one character remind themselves not to be like Rhaenyra when wielding power.

2.) The last thing comes from the marketing of the show itself.

They basically set the whole thing up in press and promotion for people to hate Alicent and worship Rhaenyra. the now shit-canned show runner Spotchnick basically said wherever he could that Rhaenyra was a progressive hero and Alicent was an evil Trump supporter (Which is funny cause I'm a two time Trump voter myself and will vote for him a third time in 2024. I guess that makes me evil.)

So, a lot of normies who don't know the books and don't know what Rhaenyra becomes by the end, they just assume that this is a black/white story when in reality it is an origin story to one of Westros's greatest tyrannical monsters, almost rivaling Maegor and certainly on par with Aerys.

But you got to give credit to the writers that they're being very subtle in the way they're building Rhaenyra up into becoming an all out villain - one of the worst in history.

I'd recommend, if you're into Alicent and are bummed about all the hate heaped on her. There's a post show breakdown livestream from people that are sympathetic/support Alicent that is really fun.

They go live about twenty minutes after the show airs in the United States. The host of the show is a book reader, one is a Medieval Combat expert, and the other is a entertainment critic. They also have guest co-hosts come in every episode. They're mostly Team Green but those who aren't are extremely fair to Alicent.

In high school, back in 2015-16 for me, we had to do senior projects for our English class, which took about an entire semester to set up. We had to call attention to an issue and make a whole presentation with sources, one of which had to be an interview with someone who is an expert or otherwise relevant to the topic.

I decided to focus on how HRT should be more accessible. I wasn’t out or even really understanding my gender a whole lot, but I went for it. For the interview portion, I talked to the sponsor of the school’s GSA, and she set me up with one of her friends, an older trans woman who helped run a local support group for trans people.

I went through the questions I needed for the project, but we ended up talking about life in general. About how she ended up figuring out she was trans when she was around 30, how much better everything has gotten since then, about her girlfriend (soon to be wife), and about her work in the logging industry (and how nobody would give her shit because she had a chainsaw).

I think about her a lot. How she showed me that it wasn’t too late for me, that there were people who would love me for who I am, and that I wasn’t alone. I don’t know if she knew that I was also trans (though tbh it was probably very obvious), or if she changed my view on everything for the better.

I’m not sure where else I’m going with this but. If you’re a young LGBT person, I highly encourage you to try and talk to at least one old LGBT person if you can. Just break away from all these younger people for a moment and listen to someone completely outside of those circles.

I always hate it when the nurse or one of the aides comes in the room while I’m talking to Mom. They never acknowledge she’s on the phone, and just start talking at her while we scramble to try to get in our goodbyes.

She has never been good at having her attention be divided between two conversations (me neither!) but post stroke it is sooo much worse. When she isn’t having a good day she gets locked on the person in the room and we never get to say goodbye.

Today was a great day.

On the plus side it meant that Mom was able to firmly, but politely, tell the woman that she was on the phone and then do our goodbyes.

On the negative side, I only got 8 minutes of Mom on a great day!

And TBH, I needed her today.

Yesterday was rough as heck: utterly exhausting, painful, full of incidents, some good and some terrible. I’d lain awake till about four in the morning fretting over things. I’d looked forward to talking to her even more than usual.

If she was having a good day I’d get to talk things over with the one person in the world that loves me.

If she was having a bad day at least I’d get to vent in my monologue to her.

She was having a GREAT day, and I didn’t even get a chance to get to substance of yesterday. All I got was “Oh, you remember the old couple that ran the Chinese place? I saw them at Walmart, and they were just as friendly as ever**!” Followed by memories of them, and their restaurant, and me rehashing the conversation, and…in comes the nurse.

So now I’m stuck stewing on yesterday, worrying about the future, and reflecting on “everything” all in my own head. It gets cluttered and noisy in there!

Don’t say “Just keep a journal. I have written in a journal every single night since I was a teenager. Last night I spent almost 2 hrs writing! Writing may be better than nothing, but it’s just my head extending to paper. It doesn’t clear the clutter, but shoves it around.

Talking to someone can at least offer banal reassurance or encouragement, validation of feelings. A person can offer a sense of support when you need the help to hold yourself up.

Merely thinking is staggering along, wounded. A journal is having a stick to help you limp. A person to talk to is having someone to lean against. Having someone to actually keep you from falling when you are stumbling can make a world of difference.

Anyway, damn it, I needed Mom today. I know one day, sadly not too far off, I won’t have her at all. But today she is alive, and herself, and had the energy let me lean on her a little. I feel cheated!

** It was a family run restaurant in the next town over. We got on great with them, and were regulars. They sent us a Christmas card, we sent them a Lunar New Year card. Early on a nasty, evil rumor went around of them serving cat (because someone saw their pet cat in a cat carrier when they were moving homes!), and we stuck by them, so I think that started the special friendliness.

They retired probably ten years ago now, and their kids didn’t want to struggle along in a restaurant. The last time I saw them was maybe five or six years ago, when Mom and I were shopping in Walmart. They rushed over then, like I rushed over now.

Unfortunately, I hadn’t planned what to say, and in my excitement I was talking fast. English isn’t their language. They know a little, but not nearly enough to deal with someone yammering on like me. I could tell that even the wife, whose English is much better, was getting maybe 1/5 of what I was saying, but I couldn’t calm down my talking.

I think it’s because I’ve been trained to feel a yawing silence as a dead conversation, a sign that the person I’m talking to really wishes I would go away. (A real problem if you are of the local outcast family). On some level I feel like if I can just say the right thing I can keep the conversation going, like that old plate spinning trick. It’s on me to know how to engage and when to end a conversation. It’s like, no one really wants to talk to me, but if I can find the magic words they will happily talk, and everyone wants to be polite and not cut off the talking, so it’s up to me to find a way to end it at exactly the right moment and way to leave the chat a pleasant encounter.

Anyway, delighted as I was to see the couple, I spent plenty of time kicking myself for not handling it right. Well, until more urgent problems overtook my internal review circuits!

- kim tae ri as na hee do. - present-day na hee do being a present figure in her daughter's life and having a good relationship with her own mother, even if they still fight a lot. - the representation of grief not as something that paralyzes you forever, but not something that goes away, either. it’s there, but time makes it easier to cope. heedo never forgetting the things her father taught her... amazing. - kim min chae, honestly, is such a great character and the scene when she comforts teen heedo is one of the best television moments. - the fact that the show is, for me, so clearly about mother-daughter relationships, how it is usually one of the most complex relationships we have, wanting our mom's support, hating our mom, wanting to be like her and to be nothing like her... - min chae deciding to go back to ballet because she realized a life worth living is one where she gets the chance to feel all the emotions, even the sad ones. - njh as baek yi jin and the fact that he is a loser. love that for him. - his smoking addiction, his drinking habits, and how the drama portrayed that. - the fact that the most important thing for him was to reunite his family and he did it. - the fact that the most important thing to heedo was to be yurim’s rival and she did it. - bona as yurim and all the complicated emotions she showed us. - literally everything about her and heedo. - how much love she had for her family. - that scene her father is singing, GOD. - the madrid match, the promise she made to heedo to not go diving, their final scene together, the fact that they will always be friends and will only be the two people to understand what they’ve been thru. - heedo’s father is the one to introduce her to fencing knowing full well his wife was friends with an athlete probably as a way of bringing her to that world again (it is my hc, but it’s also true). - heedo’s mom and coach's friendship, their interactions, their love for heedo. - every woman in this show, tbh. - seung wan and I do think she went into variety because she wanted to bring some joy to people’s lives because she knows how hard it is to find happiness in such a chaotic world. - ji woong passion for fashion, for yurim and his friendship with seung wan. - seung wan mom, what an icon. - all of the moms, actually. - baek yijin and na heedo pre-dating life, because I might be the minority here but I liked when they had no name for their relationship. - them dating too, bc that was cute as hell. - the support they gave each other, the respect they had for each other, the love they had. the foundation in which they built that love and the fact that they will always cherish that. - ep 07 and ep 14 were just...! - the fencing in it was amazing. the competitions were amazing. - present heedo being happy and satisfied with the life she has, still honoring the people that impacted her formative years and showing that thru her work. everything about her shop is not just a nostalgia trip, but an ode to her friends, to her father, to the people who helped her make it all possible. - heedo’s mom and yijin’s relationship. - the ending is open enough for people to do what they want with it. I choose to believe heedo is a happy divorcee that hangs out with yurim and seung wan whenever they have a chance, still banters with ji woong, and is probably finally at a place where she can be friends with yijin again. - but you can do you, too, and the show lets you do that. - the show is about heedo’s journey and how those people influenced her and how grateful she is to them and that’s all that matters. - the overall theme of happiness is something we pursue constantly and sometimes we have to reinvent ourselves, ask for help, and offer our support to others, that once heedo learned what it was like to have friends, she didn’t allow herself to feel lonely again. even if it meant breaking her heart in the process. - that face njh had whenever he was surprised, and, once again - kim tae ri as na hee do.

but he just likes the adrenaline

And Tommy’s like, it’s the one you got me for my birthday last year, and Phil just says something about how he has to be more specific because he doesn’t even know which one that is

And Tommy feels everything crumble around him and he just tensely says, “never mind...” and goes back to his food

And then as soon as dinners over Tommy’s out the door man

He’s gone

he doesn't take the dogs, which means he's causing damage

He doenst even take Tubbo

they can hear the handler hand Tommy the keys

Tubbo comes to Wil to ask if he knew where Tommy was and that’s when they realize Tommy’s going out to cause real damage

And Tommy’s phone is turned off

They can’t contact him

Tommy gets handcuffed

he won't get arrested, but he'll get brought back in a police car

he fucking like crashed into a poll on purpose

like it was less on purpose and more like he definitely wasn’t not trying to hit something

And then they fucking breathalyzer him and he’s drunk as balls

there's a bottle in the cupholder

He gets out when he wrecks and you just see him dead eyed staring at the scratches on her hood

and then he asks his mom "why didn't you tell me?"

and she just purses her lips and and shakes her head

and he's out

he needs to leave

he doesn't need her pity

and he just goes to Purp's and parties

because he just wants to have fun for one night before he learns that everything is a lie

His brothers are there as much as he lets them be

Ranboo would try to make it over after seeing the headlines

he gets on a jet

and goes as soon as he sees the news

cause Clem was Tommy's baby

He loved that fucking car man

Boom

One dinner is all it took to ruin everything

I've decided that Tommy is the big spoon

in these vulranable moments, when Wilbur is weak, Tommy kind of holds him

like obviously there are a lot of tims, where Wilbur wants to hold his baby brother

however, Tommy kind of holds Wilbur, like wraps himself around Wilbur, and puts Wilbur's head in the crook of his neck

this happens when Tommy comes home to find Wilbur in his bed

i think i'm going to go a different route and take the opportunity to give some information about grandma aoife! she and grandpa joseph are both fully developed characters with entire backstories (most of which i played out in game heavily inspired by the historical legacy challenge) but sometimes idk how much i should post about them since i don't know how much people care about them 😭

i think it comes across in the story but she's extremely caring and sweet and her biggest love language is probably acts of service tbh! she very much grew up in a household where she was constantly responsible for someone or something (either because she was the second oldest child and oldest daughter out of twelve kids or because she was tasked with helping around the house or with the grueling dairy farm work) and she has a lot of difficulty letting that part of herself go. she always feels like she should be doing stuff for people! making them food, taking care of their errands, throwing family parties, etc. trust me, she LOVES to take care of other people! she has no qualms about doing it! but she does not know how to relax

on a related note, she's always been considered by practically everyone to be the perfect daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, etc. and tbh she is probably as close to perfect as you can get, but in reality, i think she has a lot of doubts about her capabilities and does struggle with putting too much pressure on herself. related to her upbringing, clearly she was parentified but she was also raised just to be a tough, strong, unshakable woman and to not let things bother her. but she's very sensitive and emotional and things DO upset her easily. so it's difficult for her to forgive herself when she feels like she's made a mistake and she often blames herself when her loved ones suffer. a good example of this pretty much just comes from the fact that her first and oldest child (mary) grew up to be such a monster. even though that's not aoife's fault, she has blamed herself every single day for decades and she's constantly trying to figure out what she did wrong and how to make up for it. and as you might imagine, she's also eaten up with guilt about how grant and his sisters grew up, and she 100% blames herself for that as well.

light fun fact but she never changed her name when she got married and joseph was completely supportive of that! but for her, it was more of a cultural thing than caring all that much about the name itself or family ties. she just didn't want to give up her beautiful fully irish name and exchange it for an americanized one. she refers to herself often as being a callahan but she will be aoife ní shúilleabháin until the day she dies

she's very musical! she has no idea how to play an instrument but she does know how to sing and she's always been good at it. given her very traditional upbringing, of course her music/singing style of choice is sean-nós (which is absolutely gorgeous music and i 100% recommend giving it a listen 🎵)

a more ✨ fun ✨ fact is that i think she would love watching stupid reality TV shows like 90 day fiance 😭 like many cool iconic grandmothers, she does like her gossip and what is better for gossip than reality TV?! she absolutely would chat up her grandkids asking them if they saw the last episodes and what they thought about x, y, and z scenes and it would be a serious and very lively conversation

I don't wanna sound judgemental based on looks but I wholeheartedly didn't feel like we're good or compatible. Tbh i didn't give him that much attention as we spoke together for a little bit because my brain kept wandering. I feel so bad for the guy he left with great hopes, he even brought red roses but I don't see myself marrying him. To add I'm not tall myself so I'm thinking about future kids they'll be even shorter!!

His uncle seemed to be a little proud about his city and that's you know he's from this and has "pure blood" for lack of better words, i don't like that mentality, it repels me. The guy doesn't seem to have/show it, yet...

First of all and before I say anything, I have a little " disclaimer " , see if you had sent this to our new page @sisterssafespace maybe it would have been more beneficial as more sisters could see when I post the ask and if they could relate or if they had been in a similar situation, they could share their input and it would be more helpful for you. But also, this might not be something you'd be seeking " help and support " for that's why I understand you coming to me about it rather than the page. So in shaa Allah I will be able to give you a satisfying answer.

P.s. I did ask the opinion of another sister because I didn't want to be very bias on the subject. I hope you don't mind.

Moving on, let's start with the following:

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has advised and encouraged young men and women to chose a partner/spouse based upon religiousness and adherence to the teachings of Islam. In other words, when a woman wants to marry a man, then from among all the reasons she can look at, she should give priority to the religiousness of the person. She must look at how much he is obedient to Allah and his Messenger, and how much he practices Islam. If his Islam is good, then this should be the reason for her to accept him in marriage. Regarding this, the Prophet (S.A.W) is reported to have said,

‘When someone whose religion (Islam) and character you are pleased with, proposes to you, then marry him. If you do not do so, then there will be fitnah (turmoil) in the land and abounding mischief’. (Tirmidhi).

This Hadith shows that a woman should give priority to one who adheres to the teachings of Islam and is a sincere practicing Muslim with good character, (for marriage). This should be preferred above the looks of a suitor. Howbeit, notwithstanding this, there is no harm/objection if a woman rejects a proposal on account of the physical looks of a person. It is permissible to do so.

One must understand that marriage is a lifelong commitment which must be filled with love between the spouses and happiness, and there is no doubt that when one spouse is physically attracted to the other, it brings about love and affection for each other. It is for this reason, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ advised one to look at the person with whom he is marrying so that he may be pleased with the woman he chooses for his wife. In this regard, it is narrated from the companion, Mughiraa bin Shuba (R.A) that he said, ‘I once proposed to a woman, and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to me, ‘Did you look at her? I said, ‘No’. He said, ‘Then look at her, because this is better so that love be created between both of you’ (Ahmad, Tirmidhi, An Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, and Ad Darimi)

Here, in this tradition, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged a person to look at the other, when the intention is for marriage, so that each party will be pleased with the physical looks of the other, and this will help in creating love and attraction between both parties. (who wish to marry each other)

With that being said, it is also important to remember amongst all this, that the minor matter of height is not really the best reason to decline marriage to someone. It may be that he is short, but is a decent, man who will fulfill his role very well as a husband. Likewise, it may be that a taller man, that physically meets your requirements may be a rotten man, who doesn’t practice and treats you poorly.

Until one actually marry someone, you are not bound to anyone, so there is no harm during this time to continue your search. If Allah has planned someone else for you.

In the mean time, don’t close yourself to other potential proposals and keep your options open. In sha Allah the best person will cross your path whether it is the present man in question, or someone else. And Allah knows best.

May Allah guide you to make the best decision and grant you a righteous spouse.

Finally, my very personal very subjective input: advice from one sister to the other: listen to your GUT feeling. As women, we do have a strong intuition, I say if you didn't feel "it" since the beginning then it's probably not "it". And also, this is gonna sound a bit bad but I don't like the fact that they came to ask for you like yesterday and they need an answer by Sunday which is Tomorrow??? Like give the girl some space 🙄 but that's irrelevant. The most important thing is that you are going to pray Istikhara on it in shaa Allah, let's see how things go.

P.s. it is also very okay and there is nothing wrong if you say yes and get to know the person to only realize no you are not compatible and then decline and break it off. There is no harm in that, it is your right, so don't be afraid of that option, okay? The most crucial thing for me is that you be " comfortable " and satisfied with whatever decision you make. Kheir in shaa Allah. May Allah grant you and us the righteous spouse, the one that helps you strive in the path of Allah swt. Ameen.

Hi! I was wondering

How do you think Hashirama and Madara would be in a Road to Ninja version?

I remember once reading a Hashimada fic (which I never finished RIP) that was about Madara appearing in the RTN universe and the 3 things that stucked with me were:

1.- Madara was the first Hokage (something that Madara thought was horrible when he saw his sculpted face on the Hokage mountain 🤣)

And personally I think that it would not have been like that even in the RTN universe because we didn't see his face along with the other faces of Hokages in the movie (Yeah, apparently I'm basing myself on a movie which I'm not even sure if it's canon or not, even though Kishimoto wrote it) and the RTN characters didn't seem to even know who Madara is.

2.- Hashirama having his bowlcut as an adult

And I agree with the Madara from that fanfic, it looks awful on him. Hashirama, babe, I'm sorry but the only ones who can rock that style are Guy Sensei and Rock Lee, I know you just were trying to be cool but it doesn't suite you.

3.- Tobirama was a porn writer

Instead of being a fan of forbidden jutsu and creating justus, he wrote porn novels a la Jiraiya. And I'll hold that headcanon with my dead hands.

The only other fanfic that places the founders in the RTN universe is one where the protagonist is Mito (it's an interesting one-shot that pairs her with Itama 🤔)

She was kind of a shy person 🤔? And so it was Tobirama 🤣 which I found fun.

Hashirama, as the first fanfic I mentioned, was the Tobirama of the place (saddenly Madara wasn't in this fic).

So I would like to know what are your versions of the founders (or only Hashirama and Madara if it is too much) in the RTN universe! And how do you think things would be

Hmm, RTN is an interesting concept to me but, to be honest, I don't think Konoha would exist if a lot of personalities got flipped 😂 I haven't read any RTN fics with the founders, but if you, or anyone else, have links at hand I'd love to check them out 👀

1. Madara

Here's the big one and the crux of why I don't think the village would exist. Typically I characterize Madara as an extremely responsible man who internalizes things when he shouldn't, takes himself way too seriously, is aggressive and abrasive even to people he loves sometimes, but genuinely loves the people closest too him. Reversing this would make a character that slacks off, takes no responsibility, and is completely passive in life and has fleeting attachments to others around him. Assuming he wouldn't die on the battlefield, I could see the RTN "alternate" personality coming about of Madara's being so overpowered and competent that he loses interest and distances himself from things before he can get attached and lose them.

It makes building a village very hard though. (At first I was tempted to go RTN Sasuke route and maybe RTN!Madara is a little more openly flirty than canon!Madara, but the passivity and refusal to take responsibility would be the "core" qualities for me.)

2. Hashirama

Hashirama is a bit weird because he has a lot of surface-level "conflicting" traits in canon. He is optimistic but he pushes beyond his natural attitude and uses it as a mask to hide instead of addressing his feelings. He's mischievous, likes jokes and games, and can be a bit hedonistic with his pleasure but can equally be serious when necessary and will willingly sacrifice for others around him. And simultaneously, Hashirama and Madara are connected by a shared sense of idealism but also anger. Hashirama is a very kind, but extremely angry, man. I think a RTN!Hashirama would share a kind of apathy of RTN!Madara but instead of passivity his lack of anger would manifest as cruelty. Because canon!Hashirama is angry but his anger is usually a righteous kind. I don't think RTN!Hashirama would go out of his way to be cruel, but he doesn't have the empathy of canon!Hashirama, especially to others' suffering. He enjoys fighting just a bit too much and has no qualms about killing. In his mind, he should always come first in any situation and prioritizing (or even considering) others' is effort and him going out of his way to be "nice" and the other should be thankful. Similarly if he feels any negative emotion, he won't bottle it up and swallow it down, he'll immediately address it, usually confrontationally. RTN!Hashirama is as intelligent as his canon counterpart but he doesn't suffer fools and he hates it when people underestimate him. He's pretty proud and vain, tbh.

I really don't think the above would make him the "Tobirama" of RTN verse. To me Hashirama and Tobirama have different core values and perspectives and inverting Hashirama's doesn't make it become Tobirama's, if that makes sense. This one is also wordy bc I immediately knew how RTN!Madara would be RTN!Hashirama is a bit harder to pin down. But I hope it's clear why I have doubts about the village existing...maybe if RTN!Hashirama got it in his mind as a pet project for the hell of it, that he'd be a better leader for the country and not just the Senju alone, and RTN!Madara liked the idea of no responsibility and being able to detach even further than he already was? But that's still kind of grasping for a reason.

3. Hashimada

Equally I think any Hashirama/Madara relationship would be ehhh. They definitely wouldn't have the overwhelming bond of their canon counterparts, and it could be a relationship ripe for unhappiness. The closest I can think of to making the ship work is RTN!Madara would be drawn to Hashirama's absurd level of self-confidence and able to let the casual cruelty slide off instead of getting worked up about it. In a way RTN!Hashirama is stable and predictable. If he's pretty overpowered, there's less of a chance RTN!Madara would lose him, so their relationship isn't deep but it's more or less dependable and Madara knows exactly what he's going to get. In contrast RTN!Hashirama has an audience in the form of RTN!Madara and a partner that's not going to push back against his ideas. RTN!Madara doesn't ask for much and he doesn't complain when RTN!Hashirama puts himself first. He doesn't want, or might not be capable of, the deep emotional bond their canon counterparts have. RTN!Madara wouldn't leave Konoha (if it existed) in the AU, because he doesn't really care. If someone upset RTN!Hashirama and he decided to leave to 'do it right' RTN!Madara would probably follow, maybe out of some loyalty for RTN!Hashirama but mostly because it's what's easiest.

4. Tobirama

The core of Tobirama's character to me is prioritizing logic over emotion and both a conscious and unconscious failure to realize he can't completely eliminate emotion. Tobirama loves his brother, he's curious and has a desire to find out what makes things work and is willing to bend morality to get results if it'll serve a greater good. He's very aware of the unfairness of the world but believes it's an unspoken truth of humanity and can only be mitigated through logical means, but never completely erased. He'll be the sacrificial lamb, the one that works in shadows so his brother can have his utopian dream. Despite everything, he loves his genin, the strongest bonds he has aside from Hashirama, and does try to instill in them lessons he think will help them and lead to peace and stability in the village. He's still influenced by the prejudices of his time and can never find it in him to truly forgive the Uchiha.

A RTN!Tobirama would be a man ruled by emotion. Him writing erotica all day definitely could be one way this manifests lol. But overall he's sensitive and spiritual and can't stand the idea of killing. He and RTN!Hashirama don't get along and he actively tries to avoid his brother. RTN!Tobirama has equally strong principles as canon!Tobirama, but they're pacifist in nature and while he likes his studies, he prefers to be out talking to people and learning from them first hand. He's very naive and can be easily taken advantage of and he has trouble focusing on any one thing for too long. No matter how many times this happens, he never can harden his heart or be overly suspicious of others. RTN!Tobirama would most likely be the one support peace in this AU. He embraces the Uchiha and all the Senjus past enemies with open arms, almost to a foolish degree. It'd be a bad idea if he became hokage in this AU because he's a terrible negotiator and has a bad people-pleasing streak and struggles with long-term tactics. With the exception of RTN!Hashirama, who he considers an aberration who doesn't have a soul, humans at their core all have good intentions at heart.

5. Mito

I characterize Mito as a very level-headed woman. Her marriage to Hashirama is political in nature but they grow to be good friends and she never expected to fall in love and she's glad Hashirama didn't want a traditional wife. Mito is devoted to her community work (she works hands-on with people in the village), she seeks out connections with others and, despite the distance, remains close with her family in Uzushio, constantly writing them letters. She's spiritual and follows the Uzumakis' beliefs (not gonna list this OoT spoiler lol) and studies fuinjutsu in her spare time, something she's done since she was a child. She is willing to sacrifice if it meant protecting something she considered greater than herself, much to her own personal detriment. She loves and is proud of her children and grandchildren, but if she had a choice, she would have chosen to remain childless, she finds her true calling elsewhere.

RTN!Mito, similarly to RTN!Tobirama, is ruled by emotions. She dreams of one day making a good marriage for herself and centers romance and being a mother as her ideal life, but she's extremely picky when it comes picking the perfect husband. RTN!Mito knows how much she's worth and she refuses to settle and will not even entertain the idea of an arranged marriage. She has a hard time forming long-lasting, deep bonds with other people and views starting her own family as the solution to this problem. At times she can be a bit absent-minded and unintentionally selfish, but she's not actively malicious. She blusters a lot and depending on the situation can come off as cold and uncaring, but it's only to hide the depth of her true feelings and loneliness. In this AU she would absolutely refuse to marriage RTN!Hashirama. Nothing on hell or earth, could make her change her mind.

Mito is such a blank-slate character it feels like writing an oc more than a canon character, tbh. And this is something I don't see brought up a lot but a "heart full of love" to combat the kyuubi's hatred to me has never been exclusive to romantic or familial (to children) love. *cough* I want a complex female character who's not vilified for not wanting to have children and/or regretting having them *cough* Mito's "love" was for the people of Konoha and Uzushio. My personal headcanon regarding her and Hashirama's child (I don't think she had more than one) was that she was dedicated to her son, but quickly realized being a mother wasn't her dream or something she even actively liked. The kid was well-cared for and she was dutiful towards him, but Hashirama was the parent that loved and embraced him with his whole heart and it led to some tension between Mito and her son as the kid could tell the difference and neither of them were "wrong" to feel the way they did. This is why Tsunade was shown with Hashirama instead of Mito, he was a lot more present in her life when she was young (instead of Kishi just not having made Mito as a character yet). But after Hashirama and Tsunade's dad died (and then Nawaki), she and Mito grew close but it was definitely more of a friendship or student/mentor relationship rather than a traditional grandmother/granddaughter relationship but both were satisfied with it and loved eachother. Likewise I didn't want RTN!Mito's characterization to be shallow and hit misogynistic undertones with her being an "opposite" to Mito's calm, level-headed, focused on her work/passions characterization.

6. Closing thoughts

#1: Wow this got long #2: I feel conflicted about RTN because it seemed to flip surface-level characteristics instead of deep characterizations, and ignored flaws altogether. The ones above, esp. Hashirama and Madara's, are kind of dark in a way? But that's the only way it makes sense to me...Gai and Lee caring about style and being stylish is a funny joke but if you were to actually poke and prod and say their personalities were inverted, neither of them would be top-notch ninja as we know...unless I'm just completely misremembering RTN because I realize it's been years since I saw it lol. Anyway, hope this was entertaining!

Namjoon = the above disaster bi energy, probably started out as one of those allies that were just too aggressively supportive to be straight. Slight preference for women and feels like he’s less queer because of it regardless of the fact that he’s been dating the same man for years

yoongi = unbothered pan, but the kind of unbothered pan that spent so much of his life in the closet or in unfulfilling relationships that he barely even recognizes when he’s legitimately in love with people because he just assumes he’s misplacing his emotions. Has /oh/ moments often. 

Seokjin = straight drag queen with a trans wife!!!! who helps him do his makeup!!! loves Britney spears!!! still straight but also he’s just fucking fruty and takes his wife dick so???? kinda in a grey area with his sexuality tbh but doesn't question it because he knows to do so would feel transphobic to his wife. maybe might be a trans woman- but isn’t sure and is still exploring it internally before he brings it up to the people in his life. 

Tae = trans man energy, big dick, and gets off on the fact that he can change his dick size to fit his partner you know? very gay trans man though. only into the dick.

jimin = genderfluid need I fucking say more????? on the ace spectrum too but gets off on being so fucking attractive like he wants you to know he’d never fuck you? you feel me????

Hoseok = disaster gay, kinda a fuck boy gay, but also has one sexual encounter with a woman and has a crisis. (like my ex who was a gay man lol) and then decided he is completely gay and she was just a one off.

A/N: Please, do not judge me for this fight scene. Listen, I wrote this over a year ago and tbh it’s one of my favorites because I love some soft Simon but I even went back through and edited it...it still doesn’t sound good.

“Did you at least throw the first swing?”

She made you so angry. She knew exactly how to push your buttons and drive you up the wall. Truthfully, she had never really done anything to you personally. In fact, there was a time when the two of you were extremely close. Hell, you were best friends for the longest time. Other than Simon, she was the first friend you made upon arriving at the Sanctuary. Maybe it was only because you both arrived just a day apart and were scared at first, who really knows? Regardless, you were best friends and now you weren’t.

There was no surprise to why your friendship fell apart. Since the moment she arrived, she had caught Negan’s eye, something she noticed very quickly. She knew she could use it to her advantage in the long run, so she buttered him up to the highest extent and did not hesitate in the least when he asked her to be one of his wives. She had been Negan’s wife for about six months, while you had been dating Simon for about nine.

At first, the “marriage” didn’t really phase you. You disagreed with it, because you knew neither of them actually loved each other. She was using him for a higher rank and he was using her to fill whatever dark void he had in his heart. But it didn’t affect your friendship at first, so it didn’t bother you. Until, of course, she realized the advantages and benefits she held from her position. So, over time she slowly began to become the absolute worst person to be around. She was insulting, rude, and overall just a horrible person. Her bubbly, innocent personality that you had once been so connected to suddenly felt foreign to you. 

Unfortunately, even though your friendship with dear little Kelly was at an end, you still had to deal with her quite regularly. As the Sanctuary’s in residence doctor, you were constantly passing her in the hall and being caught in the same room as her. And she never missed a chance to get under your skin. You tried to not let her get to you. You knew good and well that she had dug herself into a hole that she couldn’t get out of. She was confused and too scared to ask for help. You tried to remind yourself of that, but it was much easier said than done. 

Simon knew all of this. He knew you from the beginning to the end of your friendship with her and he was always so patient with listening to you rant about her. He advised you the best he could, but honestly the girl drama was way over his head. He mostly just tried to listen and support you through it. You figured that Kelly probably told Negan all of the same things, if he was willing to listen. But you were tough and could stand up for yourself. You wouldn’t let her get away with doing or saying something totally out of line. Which is what led up to the big incident. 

You had been packing some things for a run you were going on with Arat and a few others, to which you realized you needed a small stack of cups for the trip. The infirmary was fresh out of cups meaning you would have to borrow a stack from the bar in the room where Negan’s wives all concentrated to during the day. You took a moment to decide if it was a good idea to go in there. Kelly was almost always in there anytime you had to go in there for something, so you knew you would be making yourself a target. However, Arat insisted that cups were necessary so you decided to swallow your pride and get what you needed as fast as possible.

You walked into the lounge, not even looking to see who was in there. You rummaged through the shelves, locating the cups quickly and making a mad dash to leave. However, once you were almost to the door, you heard a dreadfully familiar voice;

“Oh, [Y/N]! Hey!” 

Your back was turned to her, your eyes shutting slowly in annoyance. You did, however, turn around slowly and give a weak greeting. To which she started getting at you right off the bat;

“So, I hear you’re going on a run tomorrow?” She questioned with a snarky tone.

You nodded slightly, not wanting to speak in fear of what you might actually say. God knows you weren’t afraid to hurt her feelings. It was at this moment you noticed there were no other wives in the room, a very rare occurrence. 

“That’s interesting...” She said with a tone leaving plenty of room for follow-up questions. 

Her mocking tone was beginning to make your blood boil, but you kept your composure for the moment;

“Oh, yeah? How’s that?” You asked.

She stood up from her place on the couch, tugging the short skirt on her black dress slightly. That was never something she would’ve worn before Negan. He really had changed her completely;

“Well, I just think it’s strange, you know? You’re doing all the dirty work around here when you could so easily give that up,” She said walking in front of you and behind the bar. 

You sighed heavily. This was not the first time she had sparked this conversation. The truth was, Negan actually threw a marriage offer your way at one point before he knew that you and Simon were an item. You promptly declined, but Negan told you the offer would always stand. You always wondered if Kelly thought you would’ve accepted and that’s why she agreed to marrying him. Regardless, she knew how you felt about Simon and that you never would accept Negan’s proposal.

“Come on, Kelly. You know I busted it before everything to become a doctor. I can’t just drop that to be one of Negan’s wives. He told me very clearly that I can’t do both,” You stated feeling the rage building inside of you, “Besides, you know how I love Simon. I would never leave him for Negan,”

She opened a bottle of red wine and slowly poured herself a glass, seemingly displeased with your answer. She nodded after taking a sip from her glass, she sighed dramatically;

“I suppose so,” She said swirling her glass, “I guess it’s just not the choice I would’ve made,” 

This was what drove you crazy. The way she tried to make you feel guilty for something that was your choice. I mean, of course it’s not the choice she would’ve made. It was never her choice to make to begin with. And then she never reacted to your comebacks. Even the ones that were specifically said to hurt. You were really biting your tongue now. You were one comment away from really saying something you shouldn’t. When you didn’t respond, she continued;

“I mean, I don’t have to do a damn thing being with Negan. I just sort of sit still and look pretty. And, of course, deliver needs at his request. Are you sure you wouldn’t be happier that way?”

Your eyes widened and your jaw dropped. This was a new one. Would you be happier being a woman slave to Negan? What kind of shit was that? This was when you really started to get angry;

“What the hell does that mean?” You said setting the cups down on the chair next to you, “Look if you want to be one of Negan’s whores, that’s fine. But don’t shame me because I chose happiness over power,” 

Not surprisingly, she didn’t seem phased by the most hurtful insult you could come up with. However, despite her lack of visible hurt, you could tell she was getting riled up based on the look in her eyes. At this point, both of your voices had risen, and anyone nearby would be able to hear.

“That’s another thing,” She said coming out from behind the bar and standing in front of you, “Are you really sure that Simon makes you happy? I mean, he’s not really a man compared to Negan,”

Oh. That was it. That was the final straw. You knew why she said it. She knew Simon was just as much of a man as Negan, but she wanted to hurt you. You could handle the fireball comments and questions she directed at you. But there was no way in hell you were going to let her insult him like that. You could say that you had never really intentionally hit someone before, but your arm swung before you could process. You punched her hard right in the cheek. She let out a surprised yelp, to which she threw her first swing. Her hit landed more on your jawbone, but it didn’t hurt any less. She grabbed you by the shoulders and gave you a good shove into the edge of the bar, knocking over the wine bottle which shattered all over the floor and making a horrendous noise.

It dawned on you that she was just as tough as you, and honestly, could kill you if she wanted to. But it was a fair playing field, because you were just as able. It was at this moment that you realized that she was a good two or three inches taller than you, but you were stronger. You gripped the edge of the bar and used your legs to kick her in the face. She stumbled backwards, but managed to sneak another punch to your nose before. You jumped behind the bar, grabbing and quickly smashing the now broken, jagged wine bottle. Red wine soaked you, partly her, and the floor. In hindsight, this was a bad move considering you would be the one to stitch her up later if you cut her. 

You heard two pairs of running feet approach the doorway just as she lunged at you with lightning speed. Just as you were about to put the wine bottle weapon into action, you felt yourself being restrained backwards by a pair of strong arms. A familiar male voice came from behind you as you squirmed in his hold;

“[Y/N], stop! Jesus, put it down.” He pleaded. 

That wasn’t enough. You were still beyond angry.

You then noticed Negan doing the same to Kelly, holding her back so you two wouldn’t kill each other. 

“I swear to God, I’ll kill her.” She growled at Negan, still wiggling in his arms.

You let out an evilly tempting laugh;

“God, I’d love to see you try,”

Negan cut in before she could respond again;

“Kelly, enough. Simon, we need to separate them,” He said, practically dragging her out of the room. 

He gave Simon a rather concerned look as they exited the room. You felt Simon’s hold loosen on you once they were out of sight. Your nose was bleeding and your jaw hurt from her first punch. He was looking at you in a way you had never seen before;

“What the hell just happened? Are you okay?” He said somewhat dumbfounded. 

You looked at the doorway, breathless and adrenaline filled. 

“Yeah,” You replied shortly, “I’m fine.”

Despite the rather dramatic fight that just ensued, you had to still finish preparing for the run the next day. You didn’t give Simon a real explanation. You really sort of brushed him off, but he knew, as always, you would tell him that night. He worried about you all day. He knew you were tough, but he had never guessed you would get in a fight with someone. He knew something really nasty must’ve been said to get you that angry. Once the two of you were separated, he and Negan talked;

“Holy shit. What about that little cat fight, huh?” Negan questioned Simon as they were alone in one of the kitchens in the Sanctuary. 

Simon shook his head in disbelief;

“I have never seen [Y/N] like that before,” He said leaning back on the countertop, “I knew they didn’t get along, but that was a new level,” 

Negan himself was a little shocked. He had seen a girl fight before, but nothing to that caliber. 

“Yeah. Kelly deserved it,” He said bluntly. 

When Simon gave him a confused look, he explained;

“Kelly is always starting shit with the others. It was only a matter of time before someone put her in her place. I always thought it would be Sherry to finally lose it, but I’m glad it was someone like [Y/N],”

Simon nodded;

“So, what are you going to do?” He asked. 

Negan gave a short laugh;

“I don’t know. But Kelly sure as hell knows now to shut her mouth,” He said walking to the door, “Hey, make sure [Y/N] knows we’re all good,” 

They talked a little longer, both agreeing to keep you two apart for a few days and let the incident slide.

You on the other hand, went straight to the infirmary, cleaning up your bloodied nose and making sure it wasn’t broken. Thankfully, it would just be bruised for a week or so. Your jaw and knuckles were incredibly bruised and tender, but nothing that required stitches. You went on the rest of your day, preparing for your run the next day, the fight replaying over and over. You hoped this wouldn’t make Simon think less of you. After all, you were defending yourself. You gave yourself as much time alone as possible before turning in for the night. It was around 1:30 AM before you trudged down the dark hall to Simon’s room. He had not seen you since the fight, your nose, knuckles, and jaw were a less than pleasant shade of purplish black. You knew he would stay awake until you got there so you didn’t even take the time to knock. 

You opened the door slowly, avoiding eye contact. He was sitting on the bed, his face going white when he saw your beaten face;

“[Y/N]...” He said softly, trailing off slowly. He stood up from the bed and approached you gently, as if you might scurry off like a scared animal; “Honey, please tell me what happened,” He requested.

You nodded slowly, walking to the dresser drawer to change before telling the story. You lifted your shirt over your head, wincing when you noticed the bruise on your back and side from where you were thrown into the counter. You slipped a t-shirt over your head and sat with your legs folded on the bed on your side. Simon was sitting across from you, listening carefully;

You told him the whole thing truthfully, feeling stressed as you retold the story;

“I don’t know. I was just...so angry,” You said shaking your head; “I just couldn’t let her get away with saying that. She knows how I would never want to be one of Negan’s wives. And then she has the nerve to invalidate our relationship?” You asked in disbelief. 

Simon’s brows were furrowed as he continued to listen;

“I swear, I didn’t go in there to start a fight. I just had enough, I guess,” You said sighing. 

Simon took a moment to process everything he had just heard. To which he had one follow-up question;

“Did you at least throw the first swing?” 

Not surprised by his response, you laughed softly moving to slip under the covers;

“I did,” You admitted. 

He smiled radiantly, carefully pressing a kiss to your lips;

“That’s my girl,” He praised, “Yeah, Negan was more surprised than I was. Did you actually call her a whore?” He asked, staring at your horrible looking nose.

You shrugged;

“Yeah. I guess that was out of line,” You said fidgeting with the edge of the sheet.

Simon laid down next to you, looking at your beaten face. You groaned;

“Honey, can you not stare at me like I just got my ass kicked?” You asked with a whine. 

He couldn’t help but laugh at your joke, but also feel bad;

“I’m sorry. If it’s any consolation,” He said, pulling him to you, “You totally won that fight,” He said with a shrug.

You gave a weak laugh;

“I guess,” You paused for a moment, “Was Negan mad? Like, am I in trouble?”

Simon gave a look of remembrance, recalling the conversation from earlier;

“Not at all,” He stated.

When you gave him a doubtful look, he continued;

“No, seriously. He’s fine. He knows she started it. Apparently she was like that with the other wives too,” 

You weren’t surprised at that revelation in the least. Just disappointed that this was how things turned out. You looked down at your hand, examining your bruised hand for the millionth time that day. Noticing your sudden silence, he took your injured hand and kissed it gingerly. 

“It’ll be okay, I promise,” He said realizing he needed to change the subject, “Are you still going on the run tomorrow?”

You nodded. He grinned.

“Good, because I’m going instead of Arat,” He said with a cheeky smile, “I figured the two of us could handle it, besides, it’s not often that we get to go out alone together,”

You weren’t sure why, but you felt tears begin to well up in your eyes. Maybe it was the frustration that had been building up in you all day or Simon’s comforting touch or even a mixture of both. Before you even realized you were crying, you saw his expression change;

“Oh, baby...” He said letting your head settle in the crook of his neck as you cried softly, “What’s wrong?”

“I don’t even know,” You sobbed, “I just love you,”

He chuckled with a soft “awh” as he slightly tightened his wrap around you. He hushed you until your cries turned into hiccups and eventually into occasional sniffs. He rubbed your back gently until he felt your body relax. Your breathing slowing as you fell asleep.

He didn’t get much sleep that night. He wanted to make sure you were okay and felt safe with him. But he didn’t mind. He was always willing to make you feel better.

After all, you were his girl. Forever and always.

The Wilds Characters as Ghosts from BBC Ghosts

Preface: Ghosts is an amazing, funny, emotional show with incredible actors and incredible plots. It's a sitcom about woman who can see the Ghosts in her house and the subsequent chaos. There's LGBT rep in a WW2 Captain, British humour, himbos, dad friends, trouserless politicians, a space obsessed caveman, a woman burnt for being a witch, a horny Edwardian lady, plague ghosts that offer you milk, and a decapitated head that WILL lecture you on being a homophobe. I 110% reccomend watching this show, especially as an emotional pick-me-up because it's main vibe is positivity. Also its by the old Horrible Histories cast.

Dot & Alison

Mum friendTM, hot messes, can and will look after you you have no choice. Strong but unwilling leaders, far too aware of how the world works. Cuties. Both are orphans (assumed though not canonically confirmed for Alison) who live for their found families.

Rachel & Robin

VERY dedicated to a specific thing (diving/moonah) but their hearts are in the right place, caring but don't want you to think that, not afraid to criticise your bullshit, good at thinking on their feet. Both are my babies and I love them.

Kitty & Martha

Sweet baby angels who've done nothing wrong in their lives ever and deserve the best in life, need protecting. Abused by folks they were meant to be loved and looked after by. Genuinely kind people who support everyone around them.

Cap & Shelby

Repressed Gays TM. Literally so much internalised homophobia. Clever strategists who know exactly how to get what they want. Pretty much 2nd in command. Become outsiders to the found family but get back into the fold out of their own positive actions. Fan faves, deservedly.

Toni & Pat

When they rage they RAGE. In love with their wives. Sweethearts when they're with their found family. Tbh this was probably a weak comparison but Toni deserves a dad figure and Pat is just the epitome of dad.

Julian & Fatin

Fully aware of their sexuality and unashamed to enjoy sex. Fuck the law kinda vibes ✌️ Found family help them realise the value of family (Christmas ep WILL make you cry). Really good at making the message underneath what they're saying clear. Classy food critic. Also out of all of them, Fatin would ROCK the trouserless ghost lifestyle end of.

Mike + Leah

Both have obsessive tendencies (Mike's is just Wayyy more chill than Leah like obsession over Brussel sprouts vs a nonce?). Dramatic AF. Intuitive (would YOU believe your wife if she could suddenly start seeing dead people??) Marriage material 110%. Weird parental relationship. Physically strong af, not that you'd think it. Love with their wives.

Humphrey & Nora

Emotive brains. Soft sweethearts, underrated af. Consistently forgotten by the rest of the group but will always have the answers. Good at being supportive but low-key have a motive to it. Need a hug.
