Started playing oracle of ages and WOW this plot is already going so much harder lol. We've got possession! We've got mind control! We've got tree amnesia! We've got the gay best friend with a sword! We've got the amnesiac tree who we saved from an attack as a sapling swear to marry us and wait literal centuries for us to return! We've got workplace abuse! We've got!!! Toilet hand and the mailman!!!

honestly the thing that pisses me off about darkl!ng fans is how they act like he's anti-monarchy!! he literally isn't lmao, he only dislikes the lantsovs because they're anti-grisha.
he never has anything to say about the actual concept of monarchy itself and yet people act like he's against the whole thing because it's a corrupt system
in fact, in the books, the position of darkl!ng is quite literally an inherited title that gives him control over the second army - I know they got rid of that in the show (they shouldn't have done that imo, because it highlights his greed and hypocrisy) but watching people act as if he's against the monarchy when he benefits from an inherited title is..... honestly hilarious tbh

seelies seem to have a really interesting place in the downworld/shadow world has a whole. they’ve been shown to work more closely than other downworld factions with shadowhunters in the past (early season one springs to mind), but they’re certainly no totally trusting of or trusted by the shadowhunters, so not all this is to say they don’t face any discrimination. valentine being willing to make a deal with her when he hates downworlders so much seems so strange… except for the fact that seelies have angel blood AND demon blood. with his (obviously very wrong and distorted) ideas about purity of angel blood, does that make him trust her more? is this interaction a microcosm of the shadowhunters perspectives on seelies in general? much to think on.
it’s also not lost on me that warlocks and seelies are both born with magic and into the downworld as they are. there’s intergenerational trauma attached to the history of warlocks (and i’m VERY curious about seelies on that front), but there’s no trauma associated with the transformation. they’re never ripped away from their lives the way that werewolves and vampires are.

was watching back some of the GTWS day in the life videos and i noticed that, at least as of this video, he had the same kangaroo pump that i have :D (an older model of it since its from 8 years ago, but the same nonetheless)
it made me so absurdly happy to see someone i look up to have literally the same exact disability aid/equipment that i have when it's something i don't see a lot

I always feel silly looking in selfshipping tags and seeing everyone else’s F/Os because they’re relatively “normal” (like they’re from popular media, or they’re humans or at least humanoid) and the majority of my F/Os are not that. Some of them are humanoid (and you can make cases for a few of them to be depicted like that and I do imagine them as humanoid instead of what they look like canonically) but I think the grand majority of them are obscure, particularly in comparison to a lot of the F/Os I’ve seen. I don’t feel BAD about it or too embarrassed (beyond the normal amount of embarrassment I still have over this) but it’s just a bit funny to me. So many people have F/Os from anime and meanwhile I’m sitting here with 3 F/Os from the same fucking Newgr0unds series.
