I see a song of past romance

Akutagawa and Atsushi's past memories, aku leaving atsushi without fighting him because his headmaster died, aku bonding with Atsushi at the cannibalism arc. Aku telling atsushi the words of his past doesn't describe him in present with the fight with Fitzgerald.

I see the sacrifice of man

Akutagawa choosing Atsushi to be the one to escape. Giving his life for him to be safe

I see portrayals of betrayals and a brother's final stand

Atsushi not trusting akutagawa fully (referencing fukuchi's speech on why they couldn't defeat him) while fighting Fukuchi, betraying Akutagawa's trust in the process.

Akutagawa having his final stand to not kill Atsushi and to join Fukuchi to get stronger, (I also interpret it as him giving up his chances of curing his lung disease. Lemme explain. Everyone knows the Hunting dogs have the best doctors with abilities who can modify the hunting dogs members bodies and make their abilities more strong. If that's possible then that definitely means they could also reverse Akutagawa's lung disease, I mean they literally pulled Techou back from a grenade blast come on you can't tell me he didn't lose some limbs like Kunikida. And akutagawa definitely knows that. He was keeping his eyes on everything. But he STILL chooses to stand with Atsushi!) and instead fights Fukuchi by Atsu's side.

I see you on the brink of death, I see you draw your final breath

Akutagawa dying on that boat, taking his final breath to save Atsushi. But he's on "The brink" of death. Because he doesn't actually die but gets resurrected as a vampire.

I see a man who makes it home alive

Akutagawa, getting his human form back. Making it home (the real world) alive as a human being.

But it's no longer.....you

But it's not him anymore, for that, he had no memories of his past, or the memory of Atsushi, the man he sacrificed himself for, left in him. He forgets the boy who's his partner, his trial.

Guys who's responsible for naming the ship suegiku! And why couldn't you discuss it with me! I'll be annoying for a second here and remind everyone that it's 'jouno saigiku' and 'suehiro techou ' I'm sure you're all weeb enough to know that Japanese names have the order of last name before first name, It means that this a classic 'first name/last name' ship and now there are fanfic Athors who gets me out of the tender moments by having jouno calling techou who he usually is calling him by his first name "suehiro" which is his last name actually, cuz someone got these poor writers confused, granted jouno calling techou by his last name would be great for establishing things like him distancing himself and such . little tangent while Im at it jouno calling tetchou by his first name really shows how close they actually are, you wouldn't expect someone like jouno to address anyone by their first name especially with how formal his way of talking is, the fact that techou was able to get him regularly call him by his first name means that jouno likes him more than he leads, and I think that's neat!
