okay, so you know when you read a prompt or smth and immediately have Ideas™️? That's what happened. I read your headcanons and was like: I need 500 fics about this immediately, and I have Ideas for one so I will write it myself.

Also, it's a different take on Thomas’s character, especially because we all see him as oblivious to, well, everything. Empath Thomas can be oblivious, but it has to be done differently, because he knows what people are feeling--he feels it himself. So maybe he doesn't trust his own emotions now, because while sometimes it's easy to tell that it's not his, he can’t always do that. Especially when they're very similar to what he's feeling. Hence Thomas sticking with logic and objectivity when he can, when he has time to think things through. He ignores everything he feels because he doesn't know what's his.

(This is not a good idea, Thomas.) He also doesn't talk to anyone about this in true Thomas fashion of questioning everything that's not personal, so as far as he knows, it's normal.

Minho eventually figures out that Thomas never seems to respond emotionally to anything, and they're a bunch of teenage boys stuck in a Maze. Like, emotional outbursts aren't super common but he’s never met someone who just... doesn't respond to anything. Ben's attack? Yeah, Thomas was scared, but then Ben was probably scared too (Thomas knows the anger didn't come from him.) So he hides his reactions as best he can and pretends they don't exist.

Minho figures out that Thomas can feel everything, and has no defense against it, when something happens to Thomas and Thomas, mostly out of it, tells Minho to stop worrying because it hurts.

(Thomas does not remember this, but part of the reason he sticks to the Deadheads to sleep here is because some of the Gladers have nightmares, which equals strong emotion, which overwhelms him and causes him physical pain.)

And so Minho starts trying to figure out how Thomas can block or mute others' emotions and help him trust his own again, but it’s a slow process, and then the Scorch happens and Denver happens and they don’t have time, and it turns out that Thomas has just been shoving everything behind mental shields and it's too much one day and well... that's definitely not a good thing.

This got a little long! I kind of focused on the whumpier side here but there is fluff that goes with it (and a definite happy ending).

As for the fic, the above is kind of where I'm planning on taking the longer version. The shorter verison, which will only be Fever Code Era, involves Minho figuring it out on his own and working to help Thomas. Then he gets sent to the Maze, and of course later Thomas does as well, which means all progress is reset re: managing empathic abilities. That will hopefully be done sometime next week, but my work schedule is still up in the air so no promises.

Today is gonna be a positive journal. Sammie and I started this activity where we write down a list of our accomplishments in a notebook we gave each other. So, I have been focusing a bit on the stuff I achieved every day. It’s been nice so far seeing how much stuff I get done even though I normally wouldn’t give much thought into it. Seeing this list makes me pretty satisfied about my day. It’s like my day actually mattered even though I wasn’t making nursing money or getting a job offer.

One day at a time! I can also see how i’m investing into my life balance which feels amazing. I can see how putting time into friendships and communication actually contribute to stronger relationships and a stronger sense of well being.

I caught up with Tran recently, and I’m glad I did. We trauma dumped so much on each other, stuff that has happened in the past 6 years and more. I used to think she had an put together and perfectly fine life besides studying hard for school. That wasn’t the case at all.

In many ways, I learned she also went through similar experiences as I did, and in other ways, she went through her own struggle that taught her personal life lessons too. I felt as if I were speaking to a friend from the past even though we never officially hung out before.

Tran’s also super cute. I just wanna protect her from harm’s way & listen to her nerdy personality yap all day. She has a pouty demeanor when i’m teasing her, and she’s so sweet. She also has pretty eyes which is something I’m attracted to. Idk if we’ll work out tho. She might be too reserved and committed to school for me. I’m not trying to put her down, but I can see how this would affect a relationship between us. I’m not even sure if she sees me like that. I feel like she’d find a more suitable partner in crime if he was as type A as her. I’m surely not as type A, but I do fall under that spectrum. It’s probably why she and I were able to establish a bond pretty well. She’s just so cute. I wanna see her in one of my sweaters. I also love that she’s smart, not just book smart, smart.

but what am I saying…… focus man. You got bills to pay, a life to live, and friendships to manage. You’ve made it this far. You’ve even cut off ur father as an act to improve your life. I gotta rethink the life I want to create and the pillars I’ll represent as my own self without him in the picture.

After I cut him off, I thought life would’ve been the same the next morning. It wasn’t. I still have to deal with the guy, and I’ll probably see him at the burial event for Appac.

I also thought I would completely change for the better by now. It’s been harder than I thought. At first, I felt this strong sense of betrayal and loneliness. I was neglected for 24 years and nearly abandoned for 16. The feelings of pain suffered from his actions remain, and the younger version of myself has to just accept it.

It’s so unjust. My 24 year old self knows it’s wrong and is doing everything it can to help my child self process and heal. My 24 yo self is telling my younger self to point this glock at the memory of my father and to pull the trigger. Pull the trigger. Pull the fucking trigger. Pull it. That image was shattered a long time ago, and my younger self needs to let that shit go. Empty the clip because it was never real. What’s real is the fragmented fathering he’s shown you. It’s up to you to hold your own head high and face him for who what he truly is, a disappointing father.

Once you feel it, channel the weight of that anger and frustration into something greater. Let the flame of injustice ignite a fire in you so strong that it suffocates you, and even then, learn how to survive. For this new weight on your shoulders is going to teach you how to be a better man, a future father, and someone you can respect.

I’m proud of myself for going through all of this. I opened Pandora’s box and dealt with all the evils that have been haunting me for years. It even affected how I view relationships. This will be an issue no more. I’m in control of my life now, and no one can tell me I can’t be.

First off love LOVE ur twst writing it’s so good! Second I haven’t seen anyone do this yet but imagine yan! Vil using method acting to fulfill his dark desires w reader. So Vil fell hard for u and has been crushing on u for a while but has to keep it on the down low bc 1. He has a busy schedule and a reputation to uphold, and 2. Said reputation prevents him properly interacting w u. Ofc he wants to have a proper conversation w u and build ur relationship but he just doesn’t have the time for it, plus it might be a bit unnerving for him to do something out of character ( like compliments or interacting for more than a quick greeting or comment). So when he gets a call from his manager saying that there’s an offer for him to play as a character from a novel who is so obsessed w their crush that they end up taking them for themselves (and having their way w them hehe). Vil is skeptical at first, he doesn’t rly like doing the villain roles plus the character itself doesn’t seem like something that would suit him at all. However, just as he’s about to decline the role, u catch him in the courtyard w the script and while greeting him u mention that ur a fan of that novel and r excited that it’s getting a movie adaptation, excitedly asking him which character he would play. Then an idea hits him. He tells u of the character, who is one of ur faves, and asks u a favour: he wants to do this character justice and deliver a worthy performance, so would u be so kind as to help prepare for this role? As a fan, he would love to hear ur advise and critiques so that he may give an accurate and fan-satisfying portrayal of the character. Ofc u eagerly agree to it and he couldn’t be all the more happier. He tells u that he rly wants to nail this performance so during this time he’s gonna rly get into character and he’s gonna need ur help w u taking on the role as the “crush”, u know, for more immersion purposes. He tells u he may do some “inappropriate” things to u without warning but don’t worry it’s all just “acting”, it’s all so that he can understand his character better.

Vil is dedicated to giving it his all for this performance, so he won't go into further detail regarding what these inappropriate things may be. After all, if you were expecting it to happen the portrayal wouldn't land and your reactions and criticisms might not help. He won't accept 'that was good' or 'you can definitely pull this role off' as suitable answers! He expects you to list every area that requires work, every minute detail you thought brought out the unnerving aspects of the character, and so on. You must be precise with it, otherwise he won't know how to improve.

He gets into it surprisingly fast. You thought he might have some reservations about this because of how villainous the character is, but once you wished him good luck and agreed to play the role of his crush he was ready to try his hand at the character through method acting. This makes it so much easier for him to do all of the gross, unseemly things that would certainly ruin his reputation. And all of it is disguised as method acting. Truly, a flawless plan.

You'll receive creepy letters from an unknown sender (though you know it's Vil, but you pretend to be oblivious) and the contents of these letters really are terrifying. With his elegant penmanship, one would expect the contents to be just as grand and pretty. Alas, these letters are filled with despicable things and you feel a little scared reading them despite knowing it's all part of the act. At some point, the more letters he sends you the shakier and messier his handwriting becomes—as if he's spiraling when detailing how much he adores you and how he'd do anything to have you. He's...really good at method acting, going so far as to alter his handwriting and make everything look so realistically horrifying. But that's to be expected from someone like Vil; he won't settle for anything less than perfect.

Vil catches you in the desolate hallway one evening, cornering you with a dark expression on his face and a blank look in his eyes. No one's around to help you; it's completely empty and silent. He must be practicing a scene where his character confronts his crush about how unfaithful they are when they look at other people. You know you have to act like the crush, so you'll try to push him away, weakly protest that it's not like that, and then the scene will end. Only it doesn't and Vil grabs your chin in a rough hold, turns your face this way and that, and captures your lips in a kiss that leaves you breathless.

He could get away with anything. Stealing you away and handcuffing you to his bedpost? That's method acting. Slipping a sleeping potion in your food? Method acting. Lingering, non-consensual touches that are meant to unsettle you? Method acting. Everything he does is all for the sake of delivering an award-winning performance. Though you're aware of this, you can't help but grow uneasy the more this goes on. You'll admit that it's nice to have him kiss you and shower you with all of this attention and praise—even if it's twisted and unhealthy—but after a while the charm wears off and it's just scary. You don't have the heart to tell him you don't like it because you really want to help him, so you try to brave everything until it ends so that you can give your constructive criticism.

Vil reassures you that all of these dark and obsessive behaviors—that's not what he's truly like. You do know that, don't you? And you nod right away because there's just no way Vil would ever do anything like this.

You'll never know that when he puts his heart and soul into every smoldering kiss he means it. When he's Vil, he must look composed and beautiful; he must hide his love for you because everyone will think it unsightly and wrong. But when he's playing this character, he can kiss you as if his life depends on it—can lose himself to his obsession and be just a little imperfect in that moment. He can express his affections for you wholeheartedly, masking his obsessive nature with an actor's careful grace.

And it works so well. Too well, even.

- You were friends with Komori during middle school since he lived near you

- As you grew closer you started attending his volleyball practices and he introduced you to Sakusa

- You were bright and bubbly and spoke to him every game and practice, commending him on his skills. It was rare to get a reply but you still tried nonetheless

- Once Komori had asked you to become the manager, the three of you started hanging out more often, leading to you being one of the few people Sakusa wasn’t uncomfortable around

- Once you entered high school together the boy’s volleyball team was already amazing, Sakusa became the ace while you were focused on your studies and own extra curriculars

- When Sakusa asked you to manage his team he didn’t think you would decline, as petty as it was he started ignoring you

- Komori was annoyed at his behaviour and you just tried to get under his skin to annoy him. Slipping notes into his locker and notebooks, even flinging your mask at him across the classroom but he didn’t blink.

- Your mum asked why she hadn’t seen Kiyoomi around lately and you decided to tell her everything, including how much you missed him.

- She offered to call his mum but you quickly shut her down, instead making Komori talk some sense into him.

- The next day he showed up at your door, with brows furrowed, although you could only see half his face you could tell he had a guilty expression

- “i guess, that’s a bit of a hassle though don’t you think? And besides, your family likes me more than you.” you lightly hit his shoulder before standing up to bring the tea into the lounge room, Sakusa following behind you

Next week came all too fast, you and Sakusa had managed to slip back into the way your friendship was beforehand, comfortable.

You knew it might be a bit much for him to be in a car with your family for hours so you were going to take his car. It would give you both time to sort out your story and prepare for the week ahead. “Okay so, mum won’t ask many questions, she loves you anyway, however, my cousin will ask about first dates and will want to know e v e r y t h i n g” you turned to face him when his arm reached behind the head of your chair, he looked back to reverse and you stared blankly at his side profile, seeing his arms flex. You cleared your throat and turned back in front of you to continue. “We need a story”, as he pulled out of your street and began driving he spoke “I mean we can tell the truth about how we met, say you confessed after a volleyball match where i won and our first date was a picnic, we’ve been together for a few months and your mum found out recently” you stared at him shocked “i thought i would be having to prepare you but okay” you playfully rolled your eyes and smiled “What about acting like a couple?” “well your mum already assumed and i’m comfortable with you so it’s not like people don’t already think we act like one, anything off limits?” you hummed “jeez what do you have in mind” you teased and he scoffed “I mean the obvious hand holding and hugs will have to probably happen but anything else you do or don’t want?” yes. You shook the thought away “That should be fine, what about you?” “that’s fine, you can take a nap if you’re tired, it’ll be a few hours” you nodded before settling into your seat comfortably, quickly falling asleep.

Sakusa looked over at you and noticed the goosebumps on your skin, he reaching onto the backseat floor and placed a jacket over you the best he could. He glanced to you at the side fairly often, watching you peacefully sleep under his jacket. He smiled to himself while continuing to drive.

You woke up as soon as the car stopped, looking around confused, feeling an unfamiliar weight and material draped over you. You looked down and recognised Sakusas jacket, remembering you fell asleep in the car. You looked over to see Sakusa looking down at you “sleep well?” “mhm” you sat up properly and took a few minutes to adjust to being awake. “Alright well, your family is here, you ready to act babe?” he threw the nickname back at you and your eyes widened before you put on a casual smile, realising you needed to get used to acting like you were in a relationship with your friend.

“Y/n, Sakusa! How was the drive? We’re all gonna put our bags away and get settled in before dinner, make sure you both get ready!” your parents greeted you both “It was nice, we’ll settle in now, thank you” your mother handed Sakusa one of the room keys. You went to grab your bags but Sakusa beat you to it, taking both of your bags and leading you to the room.

When you entered you made a mental note to annoy your mother, there was only one bed. “Kiyoomi i’m sorry, I didn’t know she would book it like this, actually i’m not surprised...” he nodded understandingly, putting both your bags on the bed. “I’ll sleep on the chair or the floor it’ll be fine, c’mon let’s get ready” you wanted to argue against him doing that, but hummed and began to get ready.

Once you finished getting dressed, you left the bathroom and met Sakusa by the door “You look good, ready?” you nodded, smiling brightly at him. He slipped an arm around your waist and you tensed up before relaxing into his hold

Dinner went smoothly for the most part, you let Kiyoomi do most of the talking since he answered all the questions relating to your relationship with ease, even including stories from middle school and weaving them into the lies about your dating life. “So, when did you realise you liked each other?” your cousin eyed you curiously and you looked over to Sakusa. “I’ve always known, she’s always made me feel safe enough to be myself, respecting me while still annoying the crap out of me. I knew on her first day as our manager in middle school, during a break she handed everyone water bottles but she went to my bag to bring me my own water bottle instead” you were staring at him in awe, millions of thoughts running through your mind. Was he serious? He couldn’t be..but wow that was detailed and he seemed, genuine? He looked over to see you staring at him, starstruck expression on your face, similar to when he looks over to you in the stands after landing a spike. Your cousin let out a few ‘awws’ holding her boyfriends hand before turning to you again. “Oh, um, I knew when he came and picked me up at the mall, i had had a horrible day, everything was going wrong and i just wanted to get out of there but i was so stressed and despite the crowded place he still came anyway.” your heart was racing, you were sure you looked completely flustered, fiddling with your hands under the table. Sakusa noticed your nervous state and gripped your hand in his own, squeezing to calm you while keeping his attention on the rest of the table. You smiled, squeezing back softly.

After dinner you flopped onto the bed, exhausted and trying to calm down. You let Kiyoomi shower first, hopping in after him, letting the hot water soak into your muscles and relax you. After you got ready for bed you came out of the bathroom to see Kiyoomi setting blankets on the floor “Just get on the bed Sakusa” you laughed and slid under the covers, lying as far on edge as possible to avoid making him uncomfortable. “I wasn’t lying.” he was lying on his back, staring up at the roof, you turned to face him, your heart rate picking up again. “Me neither...” he turned his head to look at you, moving onto his side, your faces mere inches apart. “I agreed to this because i like you y/n..” you could feel his breath fan across your face and you smiled “I wanted you to come, i like you too” you whispered the last part as you closed the distance between you both, kissing him on the cheek softly. ni is really hard to describe but it has to do with being able to draw conclusions from scattered input, which fits with andrew’s uncanny ability to spot lies and obsession with finding out the truth, especially with high te, which is about spatial order and logic, think of how prioritized he is with the physical order of things: who sits where, who wears what, etc. a lot of people want to make andrew infj i bet as like a “subversive reading” but he’s definitely not. i used to be really close to an infj and they have hyper-empathy, as in she would describe not just caring about other people and being able to read their emotional states but literally feeling the things the people around her felt. this is a common result of the ni/fe combo, and the reason why andrew is definitely not infj. tertiary fi fits very well instead because andrew is deeply attuned to his own inner emotional state. he’s self-confident and doesn’t care about other people’s perception of him, but he’s also very concerned with his own feelings and understanding them, even if they’re repressed. he’s also very aware of his physical surroundings, which plays into his deductive ability, although it’s not his focus. that’s low se

kevin is a classic estj. he’s controlling, demanding, and driven. he tries to control the actions of those around him and gets very distressed when things dont run smoothly, as well as having strong feelings about improving efficiency. high te people make great managers. kevin’s whole story arc is about breaking old habits, which is a very si problem. it has to do with trusting and craving memory and familiarity, and explains kevins need for endless repetition. he’s innovative, though, coming up with new strategies and drills (ne), it’s just based on what’s already familiar, and you can see him spiral into creating all possible worst-case scenarios when he’s stressed (low ne stress reaction, they like to be prepared). finally, he’s a dick, but he cares about other people and wants to improve their lives, as well as being very reliant on other people’s perceptions of him to define his own self-image (low fe)

dan: esfj (fe si ne ti)

dan’s top priority, over everything else, is her team. she wants her team to improve, she wants her team to win, she wants her team to work together. it’s all about the collective. we also see that she’s very open with others and makes a lot of effort to both make new ties and maintain old ones, that’s high fe. she’s sentimental and attached to the past too (si)  esp the photo wall, but we also see her very unwilling to let go of the past ie the monsters but eventually willing to change and grow to mend team cohesion (ne). we also see the fight in underlying logic (low ti) with her: she knows the team needs the monsters to cooperate but she cant figure out how to do it

matt: enfj (fe ni se ti)

so enfj’s experience infj hyper-empathy too, but to a slightly lesser extent (primary fe is more group cohesion, secondary fe is more understanding others), and through this we see matt’s easy-going open friendliness and ability to befriend even prickly little neil, because he has an extremely good sense of what other people are feeling and need, it also explains why he doesn’t hold a grudge against the cousins in the same way dan does, because he understands where they were coming from. se is associated with a general boisterousness for life, as it’s about experiencing the world around you, which explains matt’s happy-go-lucky disposition and puppydog behavior. the ti aspects mostly go into supporting fe/ni empathic senses

allison: entj (te ni se fi)

i mean, allison’s controlling, both in that she orders other people around and in that her physical being and space are very planned and organized (her clothes, her hair, her makeup, etc) but at the same time there isn’t much sentimentality to her, like how she doesn’t care when her car was destroyed. she easily replaces things because she cares about the object’s purpose, not its history and that all smacks of high te/ni. and i mean, the se definitely contributes to her love of designer things and killer looks, because she cares about the world immediately around her, and why live if not in luxury? and fi? is there any character more aggressively self-confident than allison reynolds?? going against her parents’ wishes for her takes a really strong, independent sense of self, but we also see the problems that can come from not worrying about other people, in how she starts fights and can be abrasive and catty

renee: infp (fi ne si te)

okay this one was really hard tbh. a list of other considerations: isfp, istp, and infj. it’s very easy to read renee as high fe because she’s kind, but i think it’s a mischaracteration of why she’s kind. it’s not because it comes naturally to her, it’s because it’s a conscious choice that makes her feel better about herself. high fi people often read as fe because they’re so comfortable with themselves and in tune with their own needs that they can then go and provide for others. i associate her religion with ne, because contemplation and acceptance of the divine later in life is a very metaphysical undertaking that undoubtedly requires a lot of abstract thought. renee’s storyline also revolves a lot around using things from her past and putting a conscious effort into leaving things from her past behind (how she still uses the skills she learned from her past in new ways ie sparring with andrew and protecting the upperclassmen v/s how she held on to her knives even when she knew it was detrimental to her moving on) this sounds like si. her protective instincts also feed into the te need for order, but it’s a looser leash than say andrew, as it’s lower on her function stack but still present

nicky: esfp (se fi te ni)

godd nicky is like a prototypical esfp. i mean nicholas “sex, drugs, and parties” hemmick cant be anything but se dominant. nicky is all about living it up and living in the moment. like he’s sporadic and ive seen it lead people to think he could be enfp but he doesn’t think enough about the meaning of things to be ne dominant (like how he makes somewhat predatory jokes and such, he’s all about the here-and-now while ne is about the past and future simultaneously). also he of all characters has incredibly prominent fi, as his whole character is about living unashamedly as himself as a gay man and the immense self-awareness and inner strength it takes not only to come out to unaccepting parents but also to leave and start a new life when they rejected him. however, fi is also indicative of his communication problems with his family, as he’s unable to tell that the cousins are fundamentally different from him in their needs and boundaries, leading him to pushing them, making them uncomfortable, and being unable to help them, because he’s unable to understand them. the rest are much more hidden, but a party boy shopaholic like nicky would probably need some amount of te order in like an organized chaos fashion (and he’s often headcanoned as liking to throw parties) and you do see him become somewhat pushy, even controlling in those scenarios. ni is the hardest but could maybe be seen in how he’s attuned to the cousins reactions for all that he cant predict them/doesn’t do anything on his own part to prevent them (the way he handles andrew is like if someone poked a rattlesnake knowing damn well what it would do and then freaked out when he got bit)

aaron: istj (si te fi ne)

im a little iffy on this one and worry it might be an analysis based on his trauma instead of complimentary to it, but aaron’s arc is about breaking out of his habit of holding on to the past. he refuses to work towards moving on from his mother’s death, refuses to listen to things that contradict his preconceived notions, and refuses to make changes in his life that could improve it. that’s unhealthy si. he’s really a very unhealthy istj, and most of his traits manifest through his unhappiness with his life. take his te. that would imply that he needs control over his surroundings, but aaron is incredibly bitter and unhappy BECAUSE he doesn’t have control of his surroundings. he doesn’t get to make his own choices, he doesn’t get to control his space, and he hates it. his relationship with katelyn is also indicative of being an istj. it’s stable, not a passionate fling, but aaron is mocked for wanting that white picket fence, married with kids in the suburbs kind of life, and his relationship, which is his primary source of happiness, is built on stability, which is a very si thing to do. in terms of fi, it is aaron that ultimately forces change between himself and andrew. he may have been pushed but he ultimately came down to him knowing what made him happy and what made him miserable and acting on that. also, he’s an ornery asshole who clearly doesn’t care what other people think of him. fi. i dont really have anything to say in terms of ne, probably because he’s so unhealthy but also because he’s not too explored. heyy istj’s make great doctors

wymack: isfj (si fe ti ne)

okay this one was genuinely the hardest to decide on but ultimately i came to the conclusion that wymack, much like renee, is such a developed person that he loses many defining traits of the functions, and can be read in many different ways. so: wymack’s primary goal is the safety and betterment of other people (ie his team). he wants to help people overcome their pasts, which is a very atypical approach to si, but is si nonetheless. on a personal level, too, he’s never able to move on from people, and specifically never moved on from kayleigh,  continuing their shared dream of an exy team for abused kids long after her death. as ive said before, fe in a secondary position is about deep understanding of other people, and wymack’s ability to understand what other people are struggling through is legendary. the ti mostly serves as support to the fe, serving as the analytical backup in allowing him to understand others. as for ne: he is most definitely an innovator with unusual ideas, or the foxes wouldn’t exist

riko: estp (se ti fe ni)

riko is basically what happens when an estp goes bad down to the core. he’s obsessed with personal glory and immediate self-fulfillment (se) he has no impulse control or fear of consequences. interestingly, high se is often associated with athleticism, because high se people are intensly focused on their surroundings (exy). his ti is also super unhealthy as he gets obsessed with ideas that dont really work with objective reality, like his obsession with ownership and power dynamics despite them not actually being efficient, even backwards. the tertiary fe he uses to manipulate. he doesn’t empathize with others, but he can tell their emotional state and what’s important to them, and uses it to coerce them and destroy their sense of self, like how he knew he could get neil to the nest by threatening andrew. EDIT: /additionally, fe people especially in the lower half of the function stack tend to derive their sense of self from the perceptions of others around them, which riko very much shows in how he needs to be acknowledged as the best and won’t allow any competition for his title, as well as his desperation for acknowledgement from his family/. finally, that ni allowed him to keep multiple plans in place focused on one ultimate goal: getting kevin back. the sheer amount of schemes he sets up in order to fool and push people the way he wants is honestly kinda impressive, but he’s a toxic shithead and im glad he’s rotting. definitely not representative of all estp’s

Oh my god. I have no idea for how long this ask had been rotting away in my inbox. I'm so very sorry. ;; Asks are still closed until further notice, but since this ask had been rotting in my inbox for I think...a long time now...I'm gonna answer it anyw. I tried to minimise spoilers but I'm terrible at keeping my gushing in check so be forewarned. Also, I think 10 is almost all of the cast so I reduced it to half.

TOP 5 FAVOURITE OBEY ME! CHARACTERS (IN ASCENDING ORDER)

5. Leviathan

Not gonna lie. When I was playing this game for the very first time, I found Levi's whole otaku shtick to be really cringey and painfully familiar. It's like seeing your middle school phase being replayed in front of you. 

Anyway, he was endearingly clumsy in a "you just want to cheer him on" sort of way. Since he reminded me a lot of me when I was in middle school, I kinda see him more as a little brother or a child and didn't find any romantic attachment to him. However, seeing him slowly improve his familial relationships, as well as gradually gain his self-esteem and acknowledge how much of a talented individual he is, made me really really get platonically attached to him. One of the later lessons in Season 3 shows how he had established a friendship with someone who he thought was wayyy out of his league and seeing them bond and get along so well after the lesson makes my heart so warm. ;w; (Yes, I’m talking about Levi and Diavolo and the whole karaoke battle thing).

His Devilgram "A Jealous Christmas" remain as one of my favourite Devilgrams so far.

4. Lucifer

If Levi reminded me so much of my younger self, I resonated a lot with Lucifer's struggles and burdens. I have a tendency to be super protective and attached to misunderstood characters in fiction, and seeing a divide on opinions about him just made those protective feelings stronger. 

Like Levi, I don't really find him romantically attractive or anything, and I can understand quite a bit why some fans are frustrated with how he has so much screen time. However, I actually enjoyed seeing those screen times. Yes, he is quite the sadist and yes, he's often associated with being domineering and "sexy", but he is so much more than that. Beneath his strict and overbearing personality lies a kind, caring and self-sacrificing older brother who always looks out for his family's best interests. He is so dedicated to his duties and obligations that he couldn't even consider that Diavolo is being sincere with him. Love and friendship is literally staring straight at him yet he couldn't even see it since he is so attached to his promises in the past. I just want him to be happy. I feel like his siblings and sometimes, even his own fans misunderstand him. :( Every time I see him on screen, blurting out his worries or suffering in silence, I just want to give him a hug. </3

3. Satan

I think you could already tell how much I LOVE character development and growth in fictional characters. Satan is a literal walking example of it. He’s my very first UR--my birthday UR actually (started playing OM a day after my bday), and reading that particular Devilgram (The Search for Self) made me so invested in his character. His obvious desire to set himself apart from Lucifer and gain his own individuality + his adorable attachment to cats and books only endeared him to me the more, that he became my husbando in OM for a while. I had to admit though that I initially went for him for his looks because he looks SO MUCH like my favourite Fate character/ultimate Fate husbando, Arthur Pendragon from Fate Prototype. They even have similar demeanours! 

He had gone down from my favourite list by a bit after...uhh things happened, but Satan still remains as my favourite Demon Brother. I see him more as an ex of sorts (lol) that I am still good friends with if that makes sense? I still love him a lot, but my attachment isn’t the romantic sort anymore.

2. Barbatos

I went into this game assuming Barbatos would be my husbando since he is the literal embodiment of my type when it comes to anime men. But I honestly forgot about him until he came crashing my heart as a bias wrecker in Season 3. Turns out he only needs to make himself known for him to officially steal my heart, rather than stand by the sidelines, like his whole thing going on in S1 and S2. The Pining ™ in his devilgram stories is ✨E X Q U I S I T E✨. And I dearly love his polite and reserved demeanor that hints of so much plot and character potential that I cannot wait to sink myself into. 

My reasons for loving him is rather shallow compared to my more platonic attachments. I just really really find him attractive and I love how loyal and dedicated he is. Please, I beg you don’t release another side character event welfare UR. If it’s Barbatos I swear I will die-

👑1. Solomon

Ah yes, Mr. Slim Shady himself. I didn’t really give him much thought, and like most of the fandom, was suspicious of him for a few months until I noticed some things about him that seem to indicate that he’s rather lonely and sad beneath all of his wise cracks and silliness. When my suspicions of that unspoken loneliness was proven true in his devilgrams and the later lessons, I began to feel really sorry for him. Like Lucifer, almost everyone’s opinions on Solomon are divided. I still see people suspect he is “evil” or “untrustworthy” and I’m not sure why I feel even a million times more protective over him compared to Lucifer. *insert and I took that personally meme here* By the time I came to my senses, he had already dethroned Satan from the husbando throne and now he sits at its apex. I...have no idea how that happened either. (He is also the reason why I stopped being F2P in this game. Ik I’m disappointed in me too ;;)

I have so much to say about him that I cannot amount all my feelings into words. I kept on wondering if the fans had forgotten that he literally saved you from being eaten by demon students in around Lesson 2, and was even an option for Levi’s TSL battle (aka that quiz thing where you can either consult the author of TSL himself/Simeon or an equally nerdy TSL super fan as Levi/Solomon to earn a pact with Levi). Anyway, I don’t know. I love him. Very very much and I hate it that he's so misunderstood. I’m way deep into Solomon simping, I literally have no hope of recovering.

This is such a cute idea! I’m addicted to making weirdly specific Spotify playlists so this is perfect. I have an ✨eclectic✨ music taste but my favorites are usually bedroom pop (mxmtoon, chloe moriondo, khai dreams, etc), romantic classical (think Debussy and Revel), and indie (although I like some Megan Thee Stallion, AC/DC, Nirvana, etc when I’m hyping myself up). As far as my personality goes, I’m pretty insightful and like to support people whenever I can, even if I don’t know them well. kinda sad. i don’t care how unemotional he might act, everyone has shit that brings them down. PLUS HES A PISCES THERES NO WAY HES NOT SAD SOMETIMES. this song just really taps into insecurities for him, and the song just gets under his skin in like a very therapeutic way. also “because he’s a pisces” some of his emotions are super intense so the “because he cares too much” line hits him fuckin hard

I am not a body language expert or an expert on human interaction, so pretty much it’d be me and how I deal with things myself or how I perceive things. @silver-wield @nibelheiim and @otp-oasis-heavenxearth Do some really good analysis on body language and psychology, among other things.

So full disclosure - I was worried about FF7 Remake. I almost didn’t play it. I actually didn’t play it right away. I liked the OG a lot, but FF8 was my favorite. That being said, I still really enjoyed 7, so was anxious initially about the remake. I was worried they’d change too much, which I don’t deal with very well. 

My husband played it first. I’m definitely the FF stan in the family. I played a game in college where people would play FF songs and I could name them. I was fun, I know. I guess it worked cuz my husband stuck around. 

I wasn’t aware of the Love Triangle of FF7 between C-T-A. I thought it was pretty straight forward, even as a teen. Cloud was... well, Cloud, I didn’t get all there was to understand about that situation, but I didn’t see a lot of romance in FF7. Especially since I finished FF8 first. However, Aerith died... Tifa saves him in the Lifestream, and they go on their way. The ending was bizarre when he said he’d meet her and Tifa’s reaction also made no sense. But I didn’t think much of it - wasn’t the game with the romance, so I didn’t take it as such. The game also was riddled with translation errors. “This guy are sick.”

Anyway - Remake, I would glance at my husband’s play through and was amazed at times, but still being a stubborn dumbass, like I am. I think the few times I saw Cloti scenes I was like woahhhkayyy... I don’t remember this. I saw the pillar drop on his playthrough and cried when they showed Wedge. Like both of us wouldn’t look at each other cuz we both were losing it.

My first playthrough was truly played with no shipping goggles, because I didn’t own them yet.

So I decided to play. My kids were being total jerks and carrying on, so I was getting upset as I’m realizing I enjoy the game. The voice acting, battle system, environments, characters, I was like in shock and awe, and slipping back to being a young teen again playing FF for the first time.

Got to the Discovery Quest - Alone at Last. I mean, I saw the title of it and was like um okay... this seems suggestive. Then she tells you to come over after you’re done changing your filter. Ohh... okay... huh. Also noticed Cloud being jealous at times? That was new.

Cloud in general was different than he was in the OG. But I LOVED it. I loved how they did his character. It makes the battle of his persona much more intense and enjoyable. The SOLDIER!Cloud vs True!Cloud stuff. (I didn’t know these terms my first play through, I did notice his face changing a lot). At times, Cloud was a jerk in the OG (well, you could make him be a jerk, I suppose, he wasn’t all that bad). 

Alone at Last I was like “HOLY SHIT!” This is so suggestive! And this was before I heard... 

The Moan  (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) 

I actually heard it on a YouTube video where somebody pointed it out. However I DID notice that Cloud asked her if she was sure she didn’t want a break at the end too... I got that one.  (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

So anything heavy Cloti wasn’t even a though thinking about remake. At all. Not a wish or anything, I just didn’t think there’d be anything even close to it. Remake is actually what made me absolutely fall in LOVE with the Cloud x Tifa pairing. It is so damn wholesome and charged. Whenever that sexual tension breaks, it’ll be intense. I didn’t even know Cloud x Tifa was “Cloti” until I looked up “is the remake pushing Cloud and Tifa?” cuz I was that confused.

I got the resolution scene with Tifa on my first play through, only because I chose her first in the sewers. I did every quest, so I didn’t miss anything. Another thing I had spoiled by watching my husband play, I believe. Another thing I thought I must have been imaging. Especially when he stands there and I start going “wtf dude... ARE YOU GOING TO HUG HER?!” Phew, glad he did.

Jessie drove me nuts - I don’t do well with characters like her. I kept commenting that she wasn’t like this at all, at least not that I picked up on. I was thrilled when Cloud said “Are you seriously that desperate!?” because that’s exactly what I kept thinking. I didn’t like her death scene, I’m not sure if it was the dialogue or the way it was delivered, but I definitely got upset when Tifa was crying, cuz she just was breaking down emotionally as things go. Then Cloud’s reaction... phew. 

I ADORE BIGGS AND WEDGE, though. Wedge especially, since I’m also a cat lover. Biggs looking like Charlie Sheen had me laughing. 

Barret is amazing. I love the growing broness between him and Cloud. They start rough and end good. His relationship with Marlene is much more developed, and Marlene had a major improvement, I think, since she actually says quite a bit. 

All of the environments were gorgeous. Seeing Midgar as it should be seen and not a screen of dirt and buildings was incredible. Aerith’s house was insane. I definitely was in awe of that place when you first get to it. the skyline during the rooftop sequence was great. I cannot wait to see the rest of the game and those environments - like Cosmo Canyon, for example... 

THE MUSIC: Who else lost their shit when the third phase of Jenova Dreamweaver played J-E-N-O-V-A?! The jukebox was a pleasant surprise that I was iffy on at first, but ended up loving it. Stamp, Midgar Blues, On our Way, Tifa’s Theme (jazzy), and FREAKING SCARLET’S THEME. The Arsenal battle theme was one of my favorites.

And can we talk about Scarlet? Using a soldier as a foot stool and making him crawl around? Guess he took the whole Stamp thing to heart. Scarlet is such a nasty bitch, but I can’t help but love it. 

Aerith was greatly improved character wise for me over her OG version. I didn’t really like her... at all... in the OG. Not good with female characters that start shit with flirting. Just felt malicious at times (though as an adult I think she just was really immature). I ADORE THE FRIENDSHIP OF HER AND TIFA.

The new characters: Oh boy, change. 

BUT ANDREA!!! Andrea was amazing. I absolutely ADORE him. 

Madam M and Chocobo Sam were also pretty good. Leslie was great, and I hope we see more of what goes on with him. It’d be nice if he could be there to see Corneo die. 

Honeybee Inn was incredible.

Things I wasn’t a huge fan of:

Well, Chapter 8 was good on my first play through, but after that, I had a hard time with it. It’s slow. You have to walk, you have to wait a lot. So, I’d say the pacing on Chapter 8 is a bit slow for me. There’s not much “action” if you will. The scenery is good, though. 

Jessie... yeah, I know. A lot of people love Jessie. I just don’t - she’s too extreme with the quest to get laid. However, I did enjoy thinking about her and Biggs having a thing.

How do you continuously stay positive?! And not fall back into ur negative ways

this is such a complicated question and it’s a long ass answer apologies in advance

firstly it’s very very untrue that i’m always positive and that i never fall back into negative ways. that sounds lovely but probably a bit unachievable.

i do cultivate a positive presence online, true, and it’s a purposeful choice to focus on the good stuff bc i find that helpful. but maybe i need to work on making it more obvious that i do also struggle lol

and i guess it’s also true that things are better.

i often dismiss it as “oh, that’s just because your circumstances have changed; you’re not at the school you hated anymore and you’re not friends with that toxic girl and your dad isn’t ill anymore, so of course you’re going to be happier” or “oh, it’s probably just a chemical imbalance in your brain that righted itself over time, nothing you did” but i think it’s not just that

even at uni with my great friends and my healthy dad and buzzing social life and general “i’m better now” mentality i occasionally went back to feeling like i did not deserve to be on the earth and i would not understand at all i’d be like u were supposed to be gone where the fuck did u come from

so i actually got help and went through 2 rounds of CBT. if i’m honest on the whole i didn’t find them that useful because the first was a group session so i felt let down that they gave such general blanket advice, and the second was over the phone so i just people-pleased my way through the six weeks saying the expected answers i knew she wanted to give the impression i was improving. oops. also there was homework????? ew???

HOWEVER there was a recurring thing both therapists mentioned which stuck in my mind despite how cynical i was about the whole experience:

learn how to recognise the different types of negative thoughts

google tells me they’re called cognitive distortions, but “unhelpful thinking styles” is a lot nicer. i’m not gonna list them, u might know them already or u should look them up.

but for example, i learnt and noticed that most of my spirals were full of self-critical thoughts and hypothetical questions. a lot of “no one likes me i’m the most hated person in every room” and “what if a gunman walked in the flat right now and i didn’t have my phone on me”

and before therapy i never realised i could just interrupt and go “uh. excuse me. just noticed that you’re catastrophising there. wanted to point out that none of this is true or likely and it’s just your brain lying to you.”

and then you’re like “shit yeah u right. my bad. what else shall we think about?”

it’s excellent. it feels like you’ve hacked your own brain, like you’ve pressed pause on the horror movie and remembered it’s a nice day outside. keep an alert lookout for those thoughts like there’s a game of laser tag going on inside your mind, and after you’ve shot them down they hold their hands up like “fair play. you got me.”

sometimes it works like that, all over in a second, and sometimes it’s only retrospective. sometimes it is bad, still

e.g. this christmas eve i didn’t sleep a wink because i was up all night sobbing convinced my dad wasn’t going to be alive by christmas the following year. it was a lot of “what if his diet means the cancer will come back because i read somewhere white bread can do that or what if the cancer doesn’t get chance to kill him because a shredder falls on him in the garden”

then on christmas day at like 9am i was suddenly like “what an unlikely array of events and a stupid waste of sleep. but it’s fine. i’ll get an early night tonight.”

another example i went out for drinks with my amazing work colleagues and it felt like wading through water trying to join in the conversation, i felt like i was a useless unnecessary part of the party, i never knew what to say and only thought of it when the topic had already passed, and i got on my train home and hated my reflection and cried and felt that familiar ten-tonne weight on my chest.

and then i got up in the morning and thought “everyone has an off night, it’s fine, just chat to them at lunch” and i did and we all had a giggle imagining forming a work synchronised swimming team

so in summary of this ted talk.......

life is shit on all of us in big or small ways and sometimes we forget how to pull ourselves out of holes which we then look back at and realise were two-foot deep. it’s ok. it’s ok. just try and remember next time u have a step ladder right there in ur pocket.

and sometimes the whole really is that fucking deep. and if that’s where u are right now, i’m sorry. because i can’t remember that stage of my life too well, i can’t give very specific advice, all i can tell u is that it ends, and hopefully the cognitive distortion thing will give u just a little step up.

he didn’t ever really expect to go to columbia, he’s from a middle class family and his dad didn’t even go to college. he applied for columbia just as a might as well give it a go thing. like maybe it will happen. they had a film course and although the course itself isn’t really great, the connections to the industry available at columbia were valuable enough for him to try. he was wait listed up until basically the last minute, preparing to go to a college in boston instead but when he was accepted he knew he had to go. for himself, for his family, and for his lost brother.

obviously irresponsible attitude has led to some Bad Decision Making including but not limited to partying and drugs. he doesn’t prioritise that lifestyle over his school work (bc he knows how lucky he is to be at columbia at all) but he is a big believer that you need to experience things to be a great artist and he plans on being the greatest artist so bad decision town here we come !!!!

Post Exam High - Gratsu

Summary: Natsu hasn’t seen Gray much recently, since they’ve both been busy with exams. But now they’re over, and Natsu gets to go see his boyfriend. Kissing ensues.

So, when I started writing this, it was originally going to be Natsu walking in on Gray in a skirt. I was listening to Renai Circulation, and it was gonna be cute, but also very much a crack!fic. However, I didn’t feel comfortable writing that, so I decided to push myself to have them be a bit more intermit with each other. This is my first time writing anything like this, so please leave some feedback, telling me what you liked, and how I can improve.

Special shoutouts to @splendidlyimperfect and @friendlyneighborhoodfairy , I know you two were excited to read this, and I’ve finally found the motivation to finish this. Thanks you two <3

Natsu was on his way to his boyfriends house. This wasn’t a new thing in their relationship, they’d often just show up at the other’s place (though, miraculously, they never both tried it at the same time). Natsu had missed Gray a lot. He’d barely seen him all week, since exams and assignments had been coming from every single class, and they didn’t share many classes this year. Since they only had a couple of months left, they’d both agreed to focus on their studies. But now, they were over, and everything was going to be a bit more relaxed, at least until the stress of their finals showed up. But they had ages until then, and neither were too worried.

Plus Natsu just wanted to see his boyfriend, was that to much to ask.

So he was on his was over to his boyfriends house, just to hang out for a bit. Natsu had really missed Gray, they normally spent all their time together. And if they ended up making out with each other, well, Natsu definitely wouldn’t mind.

He’d knocked, but after a minute of waiting for his boyfriend, he just went in anyway. It wasn’t the first time Gray hadn’t heard him, he tended to play music so loud that you had to shout to carry a conversation sometimes. Besides, they’d agreed long ago that they were okay with the other breaking in to surprise them.

What Natsu wasn’t expecting was to find his boyfriend washing up, wearing one of his shirts, and a pair of jeans that hugged his figure perfectly. He was swaying his hips from side to side to the beat of whatever song was playing on the radio at that moment. Natsu felt himself freeze, mesmerised by the way Gray’s jeans clung to him in all the right ways. It didn’t help that Gray seemed to be doing it deliberately, as if he knew he was putting on a show for his boyfriend. Blood rushed to Natsu’s face as he stepped towards Gray, trying to be quiet.

Gray didn’t notice Natsu was there until he felt hands on his hips, and his boyfriends chest pressed up against his back. He jumped, dropping the bowl he was washing into the sink, the soapy water splashing the front of his – well, technically Natsu’s shirt. He went to spin around, but Natsu held him in place. Gray looked over his shoulder, his face beet-red.

“N-Natsu! What are you…” Gray trailed off as Natsu started swaying in time with the music. “Don’t stop just because I’m here.” Natsu all but purred. Gray’s face flushed as he finished what he was washing. No sooner had he finished drying his hands, Natsu had turned Gray around and kissed him. Gray melted into the kiss, allowing Natsu to take the lead. The kiss was full of passion. As Natsu grazed his teeth across Gray’s lip, he let out a soft moan. They pulled away, but kept their foreheads touching.

“I’ve missed you too flamebrain.” Gray murmured, as Natsu pressed another kiss to his lips. Gray smiled, and Natsu blushed slightly. The two of them were smiling like idiots.

“Jerk, of course I’ve missed you. I’ve not kissed you in a week at least!” Natsu pouted. Gray laughed, leaning in to kiss him again, before turning them so Natsu was pressed up against the side. Nastu lifted one of his hands to Gray’s hair, leaving his other one on Gray’s hip. He carded his hand through his hair, earning a quiet gasp from Gray. Gray slid his hands down Natsu’s back to his thighs, before picking him up and putting him on the kitchen counter. Natsu wrapped his legs around Gray, pulling him closer. They continued to kiss, Natsu occasionally letting out soft sighs. They were both smiling, as they ran their hands through each other’s hair.

They were so caught up in their own little world that they didn’t notice when Gray’s aunt opened the front door. However, they did notice when she cleared her throat from the doorway.

The two of them sprang apart. Gray nearly slipped on the water he’d splashed onto the floor when Natsu had caught him.

“Hello Natsu dear, it’s lovely to see you again. Would you like to stay for dinner? We’re having spaghetti tonight, your favourite.” Ur smiled at the two of them. Gray turned his back, going back to washing dishes as he had been just minutes earlier. Natsu laughed, his face the same shade of pink as his hair.

“I’d love to. Do you need any help making it?” Natsu ran a hand through his spiked hair, before pushing himself off the side. Ur shook her head, smiling at her nephew. Surprisingly, Gray hadn’t made a sound since Ur had come in. Natsu, followed her gaze, smiling like a lovestruck idiot. “I’ll wait upstairs then. C’mon Gray, I still need to beat you at Mario Kart again!” Gray dried his hands, grabbed his boyfriend by the scarf and dragged him upstairs. Ur laughed as Natsu struggled to get out of Gray’s grip.

Gray pulled Natsu into his room, slammed the door shut, and pushed Natsu against it. Natsu barely had time to respond before Gray’s lips were back on his. They kissed as if their life depended on it. Natsu’s brain short circuited as Gray’s lips travelled down, past the scarf to his neck. Natsu whined as Gray teased him with feather light kisses. Gray grinned, before biting down gently. Natsu let out a moan, and Gray silenced him with another kiss.

“Quiet down, wouldn’t want Ur to hear you.” Natsu shook his head, but still moaned when Gray bit down on his neck again, leaving a dark mark that Natsu was hoping would be covered by his scarf.

Later that night, while they were eating dinner, Natsu kept adjusting his scarf. Ur kept sending suggestive looks their way, and Gray sat there with a cocky grin all night. Natsu looked at his boyfriend, and a single thought popped into his head. Bastard.

Logan snored.Patton's lips curled up but the politely tried to hide it byplaying with the paw of his onesie."I was decorating the stage when it started tremblingout of nowhere!" excused himself Roman "I thought I had this undercontrol-""He was singing When Will My Life Begin from Tangled andtrying to dance..." muttered Virgil."You could have caught me My Imbalanced Romance!""The only imbalanced thing there was the ladder and mayI remind you that I told you to calm down!" groaned Virgil."You could have caught me..." mumbled Roman."I was on the opposite side of the stage!" Virgilslammed his hand again the wall "Do you seriously think I wouldn't caughtyou if I could?" Virgil clenched his teeth and only then the othersunderstood how much he blames himself for this situation. His hand slipped downthe wall. "I’m sorry okay? I really am!” He looked truly heart-broken.

Roman smiled softly.

“Don’t sweat itVirgil, I should have been more careful. It’s my fault.” He re-assured theanxious side and sighed “Too bad the play will have to be postponed… I reallywas looking forward to show it to you guys…” Roman fixed his gaze at thepattern covering his pillow. His painted red nails were a little bit nervouslystroking little golden strings which were decorating each corner of the pillow.

“Hey, Ro…” Patton satthe right side of the bed, gently hugging Roman. “It’s fine kiddo. We can wait.At least you will have more time to learn the script. You got perscripted more time.”

“Yeah… I guess you’re right Padre…” Romansmiled faintly, fidgeting with the buttons of his shirt. The other sides werewatching him cautiously. They knew how important this play was to Roman. He putall the effort into it, planning every step and every detail. “If you don’tmind guys I would prefer to stay alone for a while.” Said Roman finally chewingon his lips.

“You sure kiddo?”Patton tilted his head. He would prefer to keep an eye on the creative side.Logan delicately nudged Patton’s shoulder.

“Let’s give him somespace Patton. Roman needs to rest now.” The logical side said quietly and Romansmiled with gratitude.

“O-okay… If you needanything just let us know…” nodded Patton a little bit hesitantly.

“He can walk Patton. His arm is broken, not leg.” Reminded Virgil,holding the door open for the others to leave.

“We should dosomething to cheer him up!” pouted Patton, folding arms on the chest, makinghim look like a toddler.

“Agreed. He lookedincredibly upset with this unfortunate event.” Nodded Logan, tapping hisfingers against the table.

“I want to at least try to fix this…” mumbledVirgil.

“You say it’s yourfault one more time and I’m going to physically fight you.” Patton raised hisfinger and pointed it at Virgil, frowning.

“What do people usuallydo when their friends get sick?” asked Logan completely ignoring Patton. Thesilence fell in the common room.

“… Make them get-well-sooncards?” suggested Patton finally.

Virgil pulled up thesleeves of his hoodie, making a hoodie-paws.

“I mean… it is anidea but this is Roman we’re talking about. We can do better than that.”

Logan rubbed hischin.

“How about a chart?”

“A chart?” snortedVirgil.

“Yes, a chart showinghim how many famous actors suffered from having a broken arm.” Nodded Logancompletely serious.

“This one is a littlebit… too original.” Said Virgil carefully.

“We could spell onhis cast!” lightened up Patton suddenly.

“I think you meant “casta spell” Patton and although it would be very satisfactory to heal Roman thisway, I’m not sure any of us is able to achieve that.” pointed Logan politely,adjusting his necktie.

“No! I meant spell onhis cast! I saw it on some movie! A kid had a cast on their legs and theirfriends left cute, little notes on it! Like a magical spells!” Patton clappedwith delight.

“That could...actually work out.” Nodded Virgil.

“Even though from thelogical point of view this action is quite pointless, I  suspect this is something that could makeRoman feel better.” Said Logan finally after few moments of considering prosand cons of this proposition.

“Great! Since we all agree I’m gonna bring some crayons!”

“Now, Virgil you getthe purple one…” whispered Patton handing the anxious trait one of the colorfulcrayons “I will take the orange one and Logan-“

“I will take blue.”

“But the blue one isbroken.” Whined Patton quietly.

“That’s not of agreat importance if it’s broken or not. I still can write with it.” Loganwithout asking for permission reached for the blue crayon.

“So what’s the plan?”asked Virgil for the third time since they decided to do this.

“It’s easy. Basicallywe wait until Roman falls asleep, slip into his room and write small notes onhis cast. He will wake up to see a lot of nice things and that will put him inbetter mood!” explained Patton cheerfully. He was clearly excited with thewhole idea of sneaking in and out.

Virgil shushed him,peeking through the keyhole.

“I think he’s asleep.”He whispered to the others and gestured them to come closer to the doors. Logantook off his shoes to make less noise.

They crack opened thedoor. Indeed it seemed that Roman fell asleep. His chest was rhythmically raisingup and down and his face expression was much  more relaxed now.

The first one who wrotesomething was Patton. His tongue was sticking out as he was spreading more andmore of orange color across the white cast. Finally he looked at his work andnodded with content. He was done.

The next one was Logan.He took much more time than Patton, thinking twice before writing down eachletter.

The last one who approached sleeping Roman was Virgil. He hesitantly squattednext to the sleeping man and with a little bit shaking hand, scribbled fewwords on the edge of the cast. Taking one small glimpse at Roman he quicklybacked off.

Roman yawned and lookedat the clock, hanging on the wall.  Hehad been sleeping for two hours. The empty feeling was still aching him fromthe inside but at least he wasn’t so tired now. He wanted to get up, find therest of the sides and maybe eat something when his gaze fell at the white masscovering his arm. Only that now it wasn’t completely white.

Roman moved his armcloser to his eyes which almost immediately started filling up with hot tears.

“These guys…” hemumbled to himself “These guys are something else…” he said to himself readingthe small noted once again.

“It’s break a leg, not break an arm silly!” with a small drawing of a puppy next to it.

“I would love to remind you that I improve that saying. Fracture a femurRoman. But not literally this time.” Written with blue.

“…I hate both of these equally. Get well soon Princy.” Written in purple.

 “These guys aresomething else…” smiled Roman, the feeling of emptiness in his heart was gone.

Write your RPer Resolutions for 2018!

-Plot with more members, definitely! I try to expand of course and rp threads with everyone but I think I could do better and could def do bigger plots with more people.

-Complete more tasks tbh. This one is gonna be hard for me to do but idk if I could do at least one task every other month that would be an improvement over last year haha.

-Continue to work on scenery and detail etc. My weaknesses. I hope that rping more detail-oriented characters, like Charlie or even Mowgli, or exploring the lake with Andrina or the forest with Prince/Merida will help with this. Though also just being more aware of it in the day to day

-Dream Journal for Charlie/More music stuff for radio

Mel: This was on last year’s so that tells u something but I think it’s gonna happen-- explore her feelings for Howl! Also would love for her to do some more seedy things and i see want an apprentice!!

Ber: Explore Berlioz’s mental health more. Whether I do this through tasks/one-shots or something, Ber is kinda in this weird place where he’s blurring the line between reality/fantasy and I think that’s interesting. A lot of it has to do with things he isn’t dealing with (trauma from Taka and going down into hell). Also very specifically I want him to rp with Marie more bc Berrie is kinda underdeveloped both on my part as an rper and his part as like a mediocre brother lmao. I also like him as a supporting role in other people’s plots and I hope I can keep pushing him in those directions. And of course I’m very interested to see him and Simba repair and grow their relationship hopefully stronger than ever. <3 OH and g row a backbone tbh stand up for himself more do it ber

Kiara: Figure out her school life!! I still want to have her shadow someone sooo I think I could see her shadowing Minnie or even Jiminy since she’s sort of into health and social work. Also explore her envy of her friends with magic bc she had powers in Star wars and lowkey she still wants powers (opportunity for Feys Gold Antics here-- also feel liek there could be something interesting in Kiara v. Jake if Jake really does start getting more elitist)

Hades: BOARD STUFF. Im really excited to play Hades as a politician and like-- authority figure in town. Though he’s gotta save his own soul first lol. Also supporting Belle in hopefully going back to school. Alsoooo there are loose threads in hell that I have and would like 2 look into…

Milo: Talk with Jane about what comes next after pride u because his grant is almost up! Plot with BIANCA/BERNARD hopefully about the rescue aid society.

Nala: ONE NIGHT STAND SERIOUSLY. Let loose. Date someone bc if she fell in love work wouldnt be her focus and she’d grow a lot. Uh repair relationship with Simba?

Kiki: bring back jiji lmfao i suck. Finish her apprenticeship and unlock the trU nature of her powers and stuff mhm. Also kiss someone lol

Anita: Bring her fam in town and explore like, this clash between her old life and the new life now that she has grown so much.

Prince: ACCEPT UR FEELINGS FOR ELLA. Embrace them! Continue to train Bambi/find the fucker who shot u/be a Dad and do Dad things like idk a parent teacher conference??? Thats hilarious. Somehow I want him to become like a guest lecturer at Pride U but I’m not sure how yet. I also feel like idk Akela could draw him into becoming slightly darker after this shooting and that might be interesting so who knows, maybe he should join Akela’s morally gray magic club,

Paul: GO TO PRIDE U PLZ. Deal with the paulina plot lol. Contend with his inferiority issues that stem from the financial inequality between him and Perdy. Just rly go into their relationship and figure it out post-break up post-make up u know

Mowgli: Meet the Bonfamilles (lmao). Uhhh would lvoe to rp more with Akela i need to brainstorm how. I’d also like him to become more extreme tbh? Maybe start having night terrors or something bc of all his suppressed guilt wow just got a good idea ahha. Alsoooo maybe get a mentoooor…

Charlie: HAVE A PROPHECY ABOUT SOMEONE PPL HIT ME UP. I wanna start him on the research train when I get that in place and also maybe abuse hospital equipment (aka scan his own brain ehhe)  but also maybe save someone’s life would be cool, ok, yeah. Also hopefully grow his relationships with all hospital personnel and patients, and maybe get a  mentorship with Tibbs and/or Sweet. In fact it’d be really cooool if he could eventually help Sweet with his research like as an intern or assistant or something. And also i want to get him to an event but i need him to get a friend for that so!!! A texting buddy friend, that is a specific goal.
