On my first listen, the spoken ‘tasukete’ (help) and the ‘mou daijoubu da yo’ (it’s all right now) towards the end just jumped out at me and I saw Tenka trapped in that fire and Ichigo reaching out to help him… T^T

Though almost none of his oh so beautiful clothing was attached and his ‘perfect’ body was coated in massive cuts, Tenka somehow managed to find an issue with what Tsurumaru had to say. How dare someone speak out of turn. He didn’t once ask for a piece of trash’s stupid opinion.

“Fuck off. I would rather die than be healed by that stupid little brother and no way are you going to touch me either!” The self pro claimed true Hitofuri scoffed, harshly moving his head off to the side. If he wasn’t already in so much trouble for previous random fights he’d caused. In the month he had been at the citadel, almost all of the older lot had been involved in either a verbal confrontation or a physical one with him.

“Listen get lost now and maybe I won’t ground your body into a dish for people to eat.”

Since Urban Dictionary won’t let me describe Touken Ranbu

I’ll describe it here. I’m salty about it.

For users who don’t know Touken Ranbu, this might be helpful!

Touken ranbu is a Japan-only game where you play as a saniwa who struggles to get good swords and probably a good VPN (if you don’t use the cellphone version)

You have 5 starters: Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Hachisuka Koutetsu, Kashuu Kiyomitsu, Kasen Kanesada, and Yamanbagiri Kunihiro. Don’t worry, they suck balls after you get a good sword with good stats. Probably the most popular among them is Kashuu Kiyomitsu, well I don’t blame him since he’s attractive.

DON’T WORRY! You don’t need to remember their names later on since that’d be a pain in the ass. The only name you need to remember is Mikazuki Munechika since he’s fucken popular.

There are 7 types of weapons and no, they’re not called “Katana”, I wish they were all called Katana so I won’t remember all of their types.

The types are:

Tantou - A cooking knife but they’re the first type of weapons to get kiwame [1] since they’re fucken weak.

Wakizashi - A side edged sword or a machete-, these swords have a kiwame which the Tantous are upset about since they now can’t publicize that they’re the only ones who have kiwames

Uchigatana - You’ll see these bastards everywhere in smithing. I can’t get a god damn rare one because of these little fuckers... BUT they’re fast- not as fast as a stronk Kiwame tantou

Tachi - The translation of this sword is “Big sword”, the next one is probably more ridiculous. Most of the rarity 5 swords- why am I saying most? all of the swords that are rarity 5 is a Tachi. Yeah, Mikazuki Munechika is one of these fuckers. They’re neutral when it comes to fighting. 

Oodachi - If you think the translation of Tachi is ridiculous, then you’re out of luck. This mofo’s translation is “BIG big sword”. Yea me too, me me big sword. These oodachis have a range of 2-3 but they’re blind as FUCK when it comes to scouting.

Yari - They’re spears basically.. and they can pierce though troops [2]. Yaris are nice but you’ll hate them if the Time Retrograde Army has a Yari, 24 hour timer recovery for you LMAO

Naginata - They’re the Japanese bootleg of spears but unlike the Yari, they’re like.. 2 Oodachis in one person since their range is all enemies (vertical)

Oh yea, this game is like “CATCH EM ALL OR YOU’LL BE A LOSER” sort of thing and the important ones are anything except 1:30:00 timers by that said, I’ll list the ones who are important and the ones who aren’t and I’ll even describe them to you.

I’ll tell you about the Tenka Goken first 

I’ll also tell you whoever has the same school [2.5]

Mikazuki Munechika, he’s probably the easiest one to get apart from the other Tenka fuckers [3]

Oodenta Mitsuyo, a man who loves to violently kill those TRA, he’s one of the Tenka fuckers and the hardest one to get since appears in events only.

And last of the current Tenka fucker (at the moment) is Juzumaru Tsunetsugu, he has lots of hair and the most  a e s t e t h i c c  among the Tenka fuckers

(Since I’m a lazy fucker, I’ll just list the rarity 5, 4, and 3 swords)

There’s also Ookanehira who’s probably jealous of the tenka goken

Kogarasumaru who is the daddy of all swords (oops, Mikazuki isn’t the oldest of them all) 

those are the only rarity 5 swords, we go to the rarity 4 swords

In the R4 swords it contains..

Ichigo Hitofuri, who is the aniki [4] of all Awataguchi [5] swords

Tsurumaru Kuninaga, a surprise crane

Uguisumaru, a human matcha (same school as Ookanehira)

Hotarumaru, the only rarity 4 oodachi shota

Kousetsu Samonji, a useless tachi who doesn’t want to fight but does it anyways

Koryuu Kagemitsu, a tachi who was gotten by lucky fellows (still salty abt it)

Higekiri (Toku Ni), a tachi who forgets his own brother’s name

Hizamaru (Toku Ni), a tachi who has a brother who forgets his name (pls, this is obvious, no?)

Nihongou, a janitor

Then we go to rarity 3

Kogitsunemaru is basically Mikazuki’s partner (they’re in the same school)

Ishikirimaru is Holy Artifact Rock Daddy (same school as Mikazuki and Kogitsune

Iwatooshi, a naginata who’s taller than you and is probably a better sibling than you (same school as Mikazuki)

Sohayanotsurugi, the forgotten brother of Oodenta (same school as Oodenta)

Akashi Kuniyuki, the lazy caretaker of Hotarumaru (same school as Hotarumaru)

Sengo Muramasa, :) lets not talk about muramasa’s works (I do not have a grudge on muramasa swords, I chose not to make fun of em since I love Muramasa and Masamune’s works irl)

Tonbokiri, ... (same school as Sengo)

Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, a member of the unholy quintet (same school as Koryuu Kagemitsu)

Yamabushi Kunihiro, the big bro of one of the starters and a member of the unholy quintet (same school as Yamanbagiri)

Ookurikara, a member of the unholy quintet

Shishiou, the one who summoned Mikazuki in the anime and now when beginners saw that, they tried to do it too but shishiou just gave them unhapee

Doutanuki Masakuni, a member of the unholy quintet and a self acclaimed ‘ugly’

Taroutachi, a fucking building

Jiroutachi, a trap 

Otegine, the most normal of them all but is dead inside

Tomoegata Naginata. His name is self explanatory

Yeah, this whole list of 5, 4, 3 rarity swords made me have a stiff neck. Help.

Japanese swords are great.

Part 1

She had been minding her own business while waiting for the rains to let up when the man beside her suddenly asked her if she wanted a weapon.

Despite his appearance giving off the impression that his social status was way above hers, she had an inkling that he was… unhinged. After all, who, in their right minds, would randomly talk to a stranger just because they were nearly huddling together from the rain?

There had also been this off-chance of him being a murderer, and that he was using this excuse to get rid of the evidence so that she could be framed for murder instead of him and—

She shook her head inwardly, knowing that her imagination was getting the better of her.

Stalling, she asked him, “… Are you talking to me?”

Despite the lack of lighting in the shed and his head and face concealed by the hat, she knew the moment he turned his head at her direction, he was glaring at her for asking such a stupid question, especially since it was only the two of them inside the shed.

“Is there anyone else here besides the two of us?” he asked sarcastically.

She shrugged, not knowing how to respond, especially since a joke about seeing a ghost standing beside him died on her lips.

The man was definitely not right in the head.

“I keep my promises.” He continued, as if she had not asked such a stupid question. “You can have this useless piece of junk. Sell it, and maybe you can get some coins for it and help you alleviate yourself from poverty.” Without even bothering to look at her, he tossed the tantou at her direction, making her yelp as the short sword hit her arm.

“W-why are you—” she was at a loss as to why he would hand her something so expensive-looking.

“It’s yours now; don’t bother me with it.” He said coldly.

To her surprise, he bolted immediately from the shed, despite the heavy rains, leaving her bewildered and at a loss on what to do with her newly-acquired dagger. The lacquered sheathe may have looked plain, but the handle of the sword was textured and designed with gold platting that even a commoner like her could tell that it was no ordinary weapon.

But… why would he give this to me?

It puzzled her that a stranger would give her a weapon and telling her that he had no use for it… unless she had been right from the start, and that he was really a murderer and he wanted to frame her.

But he mentioned about this helping me.

She wondered if her appearance looked so frightening that he mistook her for a beggar… and upon realizing that it was possible, all she could do was sigh.

In any case, I guess it’s mine now.

While she was still skeptical over her newfound weaponry, she figured she should turn it into her lucky charm.

So, Japanese swords.

Each of the Three Great Conquerors of Japan had a sword/dagger that they consider very important. Oda Nobunaga had Fudou Yukimitsu, Toyotomi Hideyoshi had Ichigo Hitofuri, and Tokugawa Ieyasu had Monoyoshi Sadamune.

By the name itself, ‘monoyoshi’ literally meant ‘lucky thing’, and the sword was considered to have brought Ieyasu great luck in the battlefield. Curiously, this was the sword that Ieyasu had with him during the Siege of Osaka, a campaign that decimated the Toyotomi clan, and burned down Osaka Castle, along with several precious swords, Ichigo Hitofuri included.

What makes this all the more ironic is the fact that Monoyoshi Sadamune used to belong to Hideyoshi, who passed it on to his son, Hideyori. Ieyasu was then given Monoyoshi at one point. In the present times, the sword is part of the Tokugawa Owari Branch’s collection.

You probably have an idea on how this fic will go, but I still hope you’ll enjoy. :)

Back when Ichigo was called Tenka Hitofuri/Okatana Yoshimitsu(Not sure if the name was change before or after he was owned by Toyotomi Hideyoshi), he was a blade that was a force to be reckon with. When he would be unsheathed by lord Hideyoshi, all that meets this blade scattered like flowers in the wind. I think Tenka would be the type of person who is cold during the battle grounds. And will not stop fighting till someone’s blood stains the blade. He wouldn’t be as nice as Ichigo now is.
