The story begins from the moment a young devil boy transfers to an Academy for angels located deep inside the forest. He was tasked to clean out the monsters in a nearby forest but after successfully doing so, the angels asked him to become the Academy’s Knight to prevent a ’great catastrophe!’ Sounds great! But, wait… a devil who’s a Knight in an Academy for angels?!

TO THE STARS ✨

okay so as promised, here’s a rundown of the Sailor Moon AU that @mogadeer and I have been working on. 

let’s start off with the anime we’re using (so far): Angel Tales, Ranma 1/2, Weiss Kreuz, Saiyuki, Escaflowne, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Devilman, Gundam Wing and More Starlight to Your Heart. 

and the characters from each (respectively): Ran, Ranma, Ryoga, Omi, Nataku, Kouga, Hiten, Dilandau, Celena, Yusuke, Akira, Quatre, and Akane.

the general gist of it is basically, Sailor Moon but Stars Instead of Planets.

the overall arcing plot is that once they were all people of the Stars, and Nataku was their (human) prince. borrowing some themes from Saiyuki itself, even though Nataku is a prince, he’s still very much a sleeper agent and a very deadly weapon. so when a battle breaks out in the star kingdom, and he’s forced to turn on his people and his friends, he’d turn his sword on himself to spare them. 

they all die anyway, though. 

we’re still working out the exact details of what life was life before all of that. 

flash forward to a few centuries later where most of our cast is reincarnated. (i say most because Nataku is just comatose during this whole time, just like in his canon. also like in his canon, we’ve turned him into a living doll post-fight.) so, like Sailor Moon, each scout needs to be found and awakened. Ran is the first, and therefore the defacto leader. instead of a cat as a guide, we made one of her sisters from canon, Yuki, into a snake to fill this role. 

so over time, each scout is found and a team is formed, and their ultimate goal is to find Nataku in this lifetime. and they do find him, but no one - including Nataku himself - know that he’s their prince. eventually, something Big and Dramatic will happen that will cause him to remember who he is, and also change him back from a doll to a human. 

that’s more or less the overall plot of this thing. of course there’s more to it, ships and drama and important plot points, but i’m planning to write a good portion of it out in fic form, too, so i don’t want to give too much away!

Took a swing at turning Ran into a Tokyo Mew Mew-esque magical girl, instead of her actual brand of magical girl lmao

Since she’s already animal based, I figured it’d work well; But since she’s a goldfish, she doesn’t really get any animal attributes outside of some flowy clothing.

Also decided to base most of her silhouette off of her old-old-old magical girl uniform, and sorta smushed that together with the newer mew mew looks. Didn’t bother with the thigh garter or the trim on the skirt since her socks are so high.

Over all this was fun!A nice change of pace from what I’m usually doing now.
