It's okae Skyfire, I too like to hide away and take a nap in a cozy hangar
x3 Another silly minicomic inspired by @just-jetfire/anon 's Skyfire/shuttle headcanon that suggested Cybertronians that are space shuttles may like to take naps wherever, even random hangar they find empty. As Skyfire deserves, eepy time is eepytimes. If a sleepy Skyfire were to show up I would be shoving every other aircraft out the hangar so he could recharge. :3

ok this counts as reference right? here is a list of the crew who were on board when they hopped universes, the TF wiki is fantastic but it doesn't actually have this list
(some characters will have "presumably" when the last time they had been seen may have resulted in their death but it's not outright confirmed so they COULD be alive or their alive status may have been a continuity error and other such dubious circumstances)

F-14 Vs F-15: Tomcat and Eagle crews explain why trying to determine which was the better fighter is a pointless exercise
F-14 Tomcat
The F-14 Tomcat and the F-15 Eagle are two of the best (and two of the most beautiful) fighters ever built.
First flown on Dec. 21, 1970, overall, the US Navy’s Grumman F-14 Tomcat was without equal among Free World fighters. Six long-range AIM-54A Phoenix missiles could be guided against six separate threat aircraft at long range by the F-14’s AWG-9 weapons control system. For medium-range combat, Sparrow missiles were carried; Sidewinders and a 20mm were available for dogfighting. In the latter role, the Tomcat’s variable-sweep wings gave the F-14 a combat maneuvering capability that could not have been achieved with a “standard” fixed planform wing.
F-15 Eagle
The US Air Force (USAF) F-15 Eagle was an all-weather fighter designed to gain and maintain air supremacy. As the first US fighter with engine thrust greater than its basic weight, the F-15 could accelerate while in a vertical climb. Its great power, light weight, and large wing area combined to make the Eagle a very agile fighter. The F-15 first flew on Jul. 27, 1972.

F-14 Vs F-15
Even if until today a real Tomcat Vs Eagle engagement with live weapons fired has never taken place, since the prototypes made their first flights (just two years apart) comparisons have been made between these two iconic aircraft. But, as you will read in the following article, trying to determine which was the better fighter is a pointless exercise.
Having spent his entire career flying USAF F-15Cs in Europe, Robert “Scout” Winebrenner never flew the Tomcat but during the 1980s he had the opportunity to fly Dissimilar Air Combat Training (DACT) with 6th Fleet F-14s in the Mediterranean.
As he explains in Issue 13 “Grumman F-14 Tomcat” of Aviation Classics magazine, innumerable discussions have been made about which was the better fighter, but although both the aircraft replaced the F-4 Phantom, the F-15 and the F-14 were built to satisfy totally different operational requirements, hence the two fighters could be more or less effective in the different missions they could have performed because of their respective strength and limitations.

F-14 multiple target track and multiple target engagement
For instance the F-14 was the best aircraft to defend U.S. Navy aircraft carriers against a multiple target engagement. In fact thanks to its beyond visual range (BVR) capabilities and assisted by E-2C Hawkeyes, the Tomcat could inflict severe losses to an incoming enemy bombers formation. In fact in comparing BVR performance, the Tomcat’s AWG-9 had true multiple target track and multiple target engagement with the AIM-54 Phoenix, while the Eagle did not gain a multiple target engagement capability until the late 1980s with the introduction of the AIM-120 AMRAAM. Moreover, as told by Scout, the AIM-7 Sparrow didn’t possess the range of the Phoenix and the Eagle could only get one or two shots before the merge. So, due to the lack of the multiple target engagement capability, the Eagle was not effective in this role.
Launching AIM-54s without limitations
By contrast the constant mixing of friendly and enemy aircraft typical of a Central European Defensive Counter-Air (DCA) would have rendered the Phoenix unusable in most of the engagements because of the dynamic environment faced by the fighters. Moreover the agility deficit of the then TF-30 powered F-14 could have caused problems during the several dogfights that crews could have faced in such a complex scenario.

Another role where the Tomcat could be very effective was a sweep mission were BVR missiles could be freely shot: this would be the case of a sweep ahead of a carrier-based attack package, a kind of mission where the F-14 would have been able to launch its AIM-54s without limitations due to the absence in the area of any friendly aircraft. Actually the mission would have been also accomplished also in the case the enemy aircraft had leaved the area refusing to engage the Tomcats.
F-15 good maneuverability needed to better face enemy aircraft
On the contrary, Winebrenner says that in a Force Protection / Escort mission, where the fighters cannot commit on hostile until they were within 20 miles, many Phoenix advantages are negated and the F-15 good maneuverability was needed to better face enemy aircraft. But despite the fact the Eagle’s sensors were better to sort out friendlies from enemies, if the BVR Rules of Engagements (ROE) were so restrictive that visual identification (VID) was required for weapons delivery, the Tomcat armed with Sparrows and Sidewinders was better suited since it owned the Television Camera Set (TCS), a chin-mounted optical sensor that could be slaved to radar line of sight.
So if needed, the F-14 crew could lock on to a target and (if VID was required for the engagement) zooming in with TCS to get a very early look at the potential target. As explained by Scout, the F-15 had nothing like this “It pains me to admit it, but we were flying around with rifle scopes strapped on to the Head-Up Display frame, allegedly boresighted” and achieving an early VID “was not that easy. Maybe other pilots thought it was great, but I didn’t. It was not user-friendly by any stretch of the imagination.”

F-14 Vs F-15: which was the better fighter?
So to the question to which was the better fighter, Winebrenner answers that depends on the mission, on the ROE, on the threat. And if the F-14 didn’t possess the close range dogfighting agility of the F-15, the Tomcat ability to launch 1000 lb air to air missiles with 135 lb warheads was impressive. And as Scout explains, claiming that a missile is easy to evade is much easier than actually evading it, especially if it is coming at you from above at Mach 5 and you cannot see it.
From the late 1980s both aircraft have received several improvements: so if the F-15C could finally engage multiple target thanks to the introduction of the AIM-120 AMRAAM, the thrust of the General Electric F110-GE-400 turbofans boosted the performance of the F-14B and D models.
Nevertheless as explained by LCDR Joe “Smokin” Ruzicka, who was the Radar Intercept Officer (RIO) to fly the last F-14 Demonstration before the Tomcat was retired by the US Navy in 2006, to Tyler Rogoway for foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com, the worst adversary for the F-14 in a mock dogfight remained the F-15C, since the Eagle was “more capable in that area than the Tomcat. You have to remember, the F-15C has a 9G turning capability versus 6.5 to 7.0 G for the Tomcat. But the F-15C is strictly air-to-air, so there are trade-offs in capabilities between the two jets. They don’t drop bombs, we do. Another thing: a lot of success in BFM has to do with the pilot’s ability to maximize the jet’s capability. Fortunately, the best trained guys who fly the F-15C are on our side!”

watched Porco Rosso tonight. one of my favs. absolutely love how 95% of it is a fun, action-packed homage to classic airplanes, dogfights, flight and freedom, silly little pirates, all that good stuff, and then that one scene where Porco watches his friends and enemies fly up to join the 'contrail' in the sky of dead WWI pilots lays me tf out. something about the animation + Hisaishi's score just wallops me. I cried and then minutes later was laughing about Porco slugging it out with 'that Yank.' gotta hand it to Studio Ghibli for giving you the full range of human emotion

Rodimus X Techbug – Guardian Prime (COMMISSION)
Description – When a new Autobot joins the Lost Light, Rodimus seeks to become their mentor. However, when he learns of Techbug’s difficult past, he might find the task harder than he expected.
A/N – Hey @ask-tf-techbug, I hope this is what you had in mind. If you want anything editing, just say the word and I’ll do it ASAP. In the meantime, thank you very much for the commission.
WARNINGS – Smut. NSFW. Mentions of abuse.

Tumblr media
Rodimus walked with a spring in his step, eager to meet Techbug, the newest recruit to the Lost Light. Ultra Magnus had warned Rodimus of Techbug’s past. Originally an Autobot who had been captured at the start of the war, he had been forced into the Decepticon ranks. Techbug had been controlled through abuse, manipulation, and torture; it had turned him into one of the Decepticons’ most ruthless killers, Silentdeath. Now that the war was over and Techbug was free to start his life anew. He had been sent to the Lost Light to receive therapy from Rung, who specialised in treating PTSD, among other things.
Although Rodimus knew of the infamous Silentdeath, it didn’t taint his opinion of Techbug; after all, Drift had once been a Decepticon, and he’d managed to turn his life around. With the right mentor, Techbug would be just fine, and Rodimus was determined to be that mentor, if only to prove to Ultra Magnus that he could be responsible when he wanted to be; besides, how hard could it really be, being a mentor?
Finally, Rodimus reached Techbug’s new hab-suite, whereupon he rapped a playful tune on the door.
“Hey Techbug,” Rodimus greeted with a wink once the door was opened, “I’m Rodimus, the co-captain of the Lost Light. Nice to meet ya.”
Rodimus didn’t let his surprise at Techbug’s appearance show. He wasn’t small enough to be a mini-bot, yet he couldn’t have been taller that fifteen feet, only coming up to Rodimus’ chassis. He also had a similar appearance to Earthen cats, with a white tipped tail that sharply contrasted his orange colour scheme, and cat audials to match; it was rare to find bots that were shaped after organic creatures. Moreover, Rodimus couldn’t help feeling that Techbug was slender, more like a femme than a mech. To be perfectly candid, Rodimus found Techbug cute.
“Hi…” He whispered quietly in response, unsure of what to say since he didn’t know Rodimus; what he would give to be more comfortable with strangers like most other bots were.
“So,” Rodimus beamed, ignoring the tension. “You want a tour of my ship? It’ll help you get more acquainted.”
Techbug gave a small nod and left his hab-suite, following closely behind Rodimus, who slipped easily into the role of charismatic tour-guide.
They were about three-quarters of the way through the tour when something Rodimus said piqued Techbug’s interest.
“This is one of three labs that we have aboard the ship. As you can see, uh- Techbug?” Rodimus looked behind him, sure that the bot had been there a minute ago.
“Look at this, it’s all brand new,” Techbug marvelled, zooming around the lab. “Is that a GR-91 Centrifuge? I haven’t seen one in real life before. The Cons’ never let me into their labs and they only had old ones anyway. Do you know how fast this could separate particles? It could- Uh… I mean… Sorry for getting so over-excited… I’ll- I’ll be quiet now.”
Rodimus grinned cockily, “Hey, don’t worry about it, it’s cool to see you so excited. You like this lab? Then take it. Nobody else uses it anyway. Brainstorm and Perceptor each have one, so you may as well get this one if you want it.”
“Primus,” Techbug’s tail piece twitched in anticipation, “All of this for me, are you sure?”
“Yeah, it’s no biggie.”
‘Oh, but it is,’ Silentdeath, Techbug’s alternate personality growled maliciously inside his processor. ‘It’s a very big deal, right Techie? What have you done to deserve this? Nothing! You’ve done nothing for this, betrayer.’
“Be quiet,” Techbug hissed.
“What was that?” Rodimus asked, having missed Techbug’s warning.
‘Ooh, he’s listening to our private conversation. We don’t want that now, do we. You should stare him down. One look from our outlier ability and the only time he’ll speak is with Primus in the Afterspark.’
“Stop,” Techbug whispered.
“Hey, are you feeling okay?” Rodimus placed a soothing hand on Techbug’s shoulder-plate. “Med-bay isn’t far from here, I could take you to see Ratchet.”
‘HE WANTS TO TAKE YOU TO MED-BAY! You remember what happens in med-bay, right? They’ll recode you again, and they’ll make sure it hurts. I can’t wait to hear your pathetic screams when they tear you apart and put you back together again. Such sweet agony.’
“GET AWAY FROM ME!” Techbug pushed Rodimus, making him stumble backwards.
Before Rodimus could protest, Techbug fixed him with a hard glare, feeling his outlier ability rising up from within, burning quickly through his already low energon supply. With the ability to freeze or kill an enemy with a look, Techbug had been one of the Decepticons’ best weapons. With a full fuel tank, he could have frozen up to three mechs, as it was however, Techbug only managed to freeze Rodimus in time before a warning flashed on his visor: ENERGON LEVEL CRITICAL. SHUTDOWN PROTOCOL ENGAGED.
Techbug passed out and Rodimus was stuck, aware of everything yet unable to help. Fortunately, it only took a few minutes for Rodimus to be released from the effects of the outlier ability, allowing him to move freely once again.
He vented the excess air from his systems, eyeing up Techbug tiredly, “Something tells me that you’re going to be a bit of a handful… I’m really glad you left your swords back at the hab-suite.”
Tumblr media
“I’m sorry,” Techbug murmured, unable to look Rodimus in the optics. The two were in the med-bay, where Rodimus had carried him after his energon burnout. “I didn’t mean to freeze you up like that… I was- He made me do it.”
“He? You mean Silentdeath?” Rodimus asked, feeling sorry for yet another bot whose mentality had been damaged in the war.
Techbug looked uncomfortable at the mention of his Decepticon name.
“Hey, you don’t have to worry. We’ve all made mistakes, y’know, except for me, ‘cos Primus broke the mould, I was far too perfect even for him.”
Techbug snickered and Rodimus shot imaginary finger guns at him, “And the bot does know how to laugh. Good for you buddy. Anyway, is there anything you wanna do next? I’m okay staying here for a while if you want, but now that you’re energised, I was thinking we could do something fun. What do you say?”
Going against his social anxiety, Techbug nodded, “Something fun sounds good, Captain.”
Tumblr media
After a few weeks aboard the Lost Light, Techbug started to come out of his shell. Silentdeath was quieter than he had ever been before. Techbug hadn’t used his outlier ability since he’d frozen Rodimus. With Rung’s help during therapy, he was even confronting some of his worst memories which he had always shut away in an attempt to forget; it wasn’t easy, and it usually left Techbug feeling a little worse for wear, but in the long run, he knew it would be helpful. Best of all, Techbug had even been making friends among the crew. He still gravitated towards Rodimus, but who wouldn’t? Rodimus was charming, funny, handsome, had a great aft-
Techbug blushed, snapping his eyes away from Rodimus’ aft which he had blatantly been staring at as Rodimus went to buy the next round of high-grade energon for them.
“Seems like you have a little crush,” Dogfight smirked, taking a seat next to Techbug and wrapping his arm chummily around him. “The name’s Dogfight.”
“T-Techbug,” Techbug whispered his name quietly, going ridged at Dogfight’s uninvited touch.
“Yeah. I know all about you. Been watching you for a while. You’ve got a few admirers yourself, by the way. I should know, I’m one of them. That’s actually why I’m here. I was thinking that maybe you could ditch Hot-Wheels over there,” He gestured to Rodimus. “-and come spend some time with me. Maybe even see where the night leads, if you catch my drift.”
Dogfight stroked the inside of Techbug’s thighs sensuously, leading his way up to his interface panel. Supressed memories of Techbug’s past surfaced, hitting him like a freight train. He remembered how the Decepticons had used him for sex. They had called him names, debased him, forced their way into his interface panel, made him their slave in the berth as well as away from it. Techbug felt like he might purge his tanks if he didn’t escape Dogfight’s touch.
Once again, he concentrated on his outlier ability, though this time he was in full control of it as he froze Dogfight in place and extricated himself from his hold. On a full energon supply, Techbug was not weakened by the use of his outlier, however it did not stop him from feeling nauseous as he ran back to his hab-suite, trying desperately to forgot Dogfight’s unwanted advance.
As soon as Rodimus saw Dogfight frozen in space where Techbug had once been, he abandoned the high-grade energon he’d just bought. He rushed out of Swerve’s and immediately transformed, driving speedily towards Techbug’s hab-suite.
“Techbug,” Rodimus called, banging on the door, worried that he might be too late to stop one of Techbug’s episodes. “It’s me, Rodimus. Are you in there?”
As he was left waiting, Rodimus seriously considered using his override code to unlock the door, but before he could do so, Techbug opened it, wiping coolant from his optics.
“I’m- I’m fine, Rodimus. You should just go, I’ll be alright.”
“You’re clearly not fine. What happened back there? I just looked up and you were gone. You should at least talk about whatever it is. Was it something to do with Dogfight? Did you have another accident? Was it Silentdeath again?” Rodimus rushed through the list of possibilities, speaking faster with each question.
Finally, Techbug relented and let Rodimus in, if only to stop the persistent questions.
“I- I just- I got spooked and I couldn’t be there anymore. I only wanted to be with you tonight anyway.”
“Me?” Rodimus pointed dumbly at himself. “Why? Were you feeling shy or something?”
Feeling simultaneously vulnerable, frustrated, and like he needed some attention, Techbug threw his arms around Rodimus’ neck, pulling him down for a kiss. Thankfully, Rodimus didn’t question the action as he returned the kiss, pressing his mouth hungrily against Techbug’s as if they couldn’t get close enough.
Up till now Rodimus had ignored any lingering romantic ideas of Techbug, worried that by being a mentor, he would only pressure his ward. Since Techbug had initiated the kiss however, Rodimus saw no reason to reject the advance.
Rodimus yelped as Techbug’s nimble fingers tugged at his neck cables. He broke off the kiss, staring uncertainly at Techbug. “Are you sure?” He asked, alluding to the prospect of interfacing.
“Yes,” Techbug vented air out of his vents eagerly. He had never interfaced because he wanted to before, it was always because he had to; this was new and exciting and he could already feel his spike straining to be free of his interface panel.
Rodimus reached tentatively for Techbug’s aft, massaging it gently as he made his way to the berth, falling against it rather than laying on top of it. Techbug’s interface panel slid open, his spike rubbing against Rodimus’ inner thigh.
“Is that a gun or are you just happy to see me?” Rodimus joked.
Techbug’s face-plates flushed red and his cat-like tail lashed impatiently from side to side, “I want to see yours too. I want to ride you like a hover-bike.”
Rodimus’ engines revved, “Looks like you already found the ignition.” He lifted Techbug up, letting him wrap his legs around his waist. “Now all that’s left is to get on.”
He inserted his spike into Techbug’s valve, moaning at how good it felt. Although he had planned to take it slow for their first time, Rodimus was surprised as Techbug forced himself down on Rodimus’ spike.
“I’m not that delicate,” Techbug whispered huskily.
Taking the hint, Rodimus gripped Techbug’s hips and pulled him onto the berth, so that Techbug was on top; most bots assumed that Rodimus liked to be on top but in truth he found it nice to be submissive on occasion.
Techbug began gyrating on Rodimus’ spike, growling with lust every time it pressed against his anterior node. He was desperate. He needed this attention. He basked in the warmth of Rodimus’ presence. Rodimus however, sought to toy with Techbug, reaching low to rub at his spike.
Techbug bit his lip to keep from crying out as Rodimus jacked him off. It wasn’t long before tips of transfluid beaded the top of Techbug’s spike.
“Delicious,” Rodimus purred, looking Techbug in the optics as he gathered the trans-fluid off his spike and licked it off his servo.
“Primus!” Techbug squeaked, feeling his overload building up. “I- I-” Techbug never got to finish his sentiment as Rodimus overloaded with a loud moan, followed closely by him.
He was going to tell Rodimus that he loved him, but at that moment, the words didn’t matter, and by the look on Rodimus’ face, he thought that Rodimus might know already anyway.

Random musing: in the late 90s/early00s the tf Fandom was desperate for any scrap of geewun they could get.
I reckon hasbro jumped into big names too soon. Like, just imagine if we had that moment in a comic or cartoon where a beast wars character is amazed to meet the Legendary Veteran of the Great War, but its somebody like Crosshairs, Dogfight, or Seawatch

IIAF Modernisation Plan
In the 1970s Iran was modernising at a rapid rate and certainly these efforts can be seen in the expansion and new equipment being acquired by its armed forces. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran was especially keen on bringing his most favourite branch, the Imperial Iranian Air Force (IIAF) to the highest standard using the best available aircraft and weapon systems manufactured at the time.
The Shah was interested in creating the most powerful Air Force in the Middle East, as well as ensuring his country was able to defend itself against any Soviet expansion in the area as they had already clashed in several airspace violations resulting in a number of aircraft lost. For this his Air Force commanders had come up with a rather ambitious plan to bring the IIAF up to strength using the best available equipment, regardless of the cost.
The plan involved introducing the following aircraft into service:
Tumblr media
Northrup F-5E/F Freedom Fighters: By 1976 over 166 of these aircraft were already in IIAF service, replacing the earlier A/B variants and able to mount more modern armaments like the AGM-65 Maverick or the BL.755 cluster bombs.
Tumblr media
McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom IIs: First entering service in 1968 the mighty Phantom would form the backbone of the IIAF and by 1979 there were over 240 in service and these included 40 F-4Ds, 170 F-4Es and 30 RF-4E photo reconnaissance aircraft. They were a step up from the F-5s and could carry almost anything the Air Force needed including GBU-10 laser guided bombs and Mk.82 Snakeye bombs.
Tumblr media
Grumman F-14A GR Tomcat: The core of the IIAFs plans, the mighty Tomcat would be Iran’s premier fighter/Interceptor with its phenomenal AN/AWG-9 weapon control system paired with the powerful Aim 54A Phoenix missiles allowing it to own long distance engagements and yet its straight forward flying characteristics and low speed agility made it a deadly dogfighter when needed. By 1978 there were 79 out of the 80 in Iran and plans were drawn up for an additional 70 aircraft, taking the potential number in service to 150 (although Iran was not willing to acquire anymore of them until the problematic Pratt & Whitney TF-30 414 engines were replaced as the stalling issues were already apparent). In addition 712 Aim 54As had been ordered.
Tumblr media
General Dynamics F-16A/B Fighting Falcon: Over 300 F-16A/Bs were planned to be acquired and work alongside the existing F-5E/Fs and cover different parts of the country, the new Fighting Falcons would have been able to carry most of the modern arms being introduced and would have been by far the most numerous aircraft in the IIAF. Equipment and jigs needed to look after the aircraft were being set up in Iran when the 79’ revolution ended US-Iran relations before any of the aircraft were completed (interesting fact these aircraft would end up in Israel).
Tumblr media
Northrop F/A-18L Hornet: A planned land-based export model of the Navy’s F/A-18A that had just entered service, 150 of these had been planned for service starting in the mid-1980s and would have certainly have been one of the more powerful mutli-role aircraft in the IIAF, possibily replacing the F-4s that were already in service.
Tumblr media
Boeing E-3 Sentry: As well as having a powerful fleet of fast jets the IIAF needed to allow the aircraft to be controlled effectively and securely and so a total of 8 E-3s had been planned as well as 2 communication satellites to allow all the aircraft to operate effectively and the E-3’s Radar would completely avoid the poor coverage problems faced by the ground stations due to the geographical nature of the country and the poor equipment being used.
In all the IIAF’s combat aircraft strength would have peaked at over 1000 aircraft by the late 1980s/ early 90s had the plans been allowed to happen and it was hoped the IIAF’s training schools would qualify 200 new pilots a month once the infrastructure was in place, the pilots being trained to top western standards, especially those who were to fly the Tomcats.
I doubt however this would have ever happened, I’m sure the US, especially once Jimmy Carter was elected would never have allowed Iran to reach such a level of power, it’s Air Force alone would have been more powerful than most NATO nations and certainly Iran’s population would have been bitter to see so much money being spent on a vast and costly fleet of aircraft when the country itself was far from modernised, almost being a waypoint between the new world and the traditional Islamic world. However even with just the F-5s, F-4s and the F-14s Iran was already in a different league with its air Power, something that would be demonstrated in the brutal air war with Iraq just a few years later.
Had the plans been allowed to happen the capabilities of the IIAF would have been vast, combining the best Modern US-produced aircraft with up-to-date weapons and state of the art communications and radar coverage and would certainly had been difficult to challenge. An interesting look at the ambitions of the Shah before we was swept from power and many of these planned ideas would never happen.

These silly sky husbands will happily delay your flight a few cycles to megacycles whenever they get a chance to flirt all silly.
Tho Dogfight is not going to let Powerglide go free the rest of their flight mission without bothering him about this little incident. He's got some insecurities that he'll make everyone else's problems, so he'll happily nag Powerglide about little things just to stir up the minibot. He also really doesn't like Skyfire. Especially with Skyfire being a former Decepticon. He's also jealous of Skyfire's personal flight capabilities, but he won't admit it.

TF: Astray-The Trailer
I know, its weird. So this is a breakdown of trailer makeup of one of my many series ideas, the idea of a trailor for the series was what originally made me even think of the plot/cast. below the breakdown is more info on the series itself. the designs are meant to be based on TFA designs but not strictly supposed to be them exactly(the cast pic is just for fun since all the cast i could find in that style). please give some feedback. We see a shot of a female human teen stumbling back in shock, a spinning shot around her reveals Hot Rod, Bulkhead and Ratchet transforming into robot mode. Seaspray is also walking over and Blackarachnia is present but lurking in the shadows. “Oh my god” she gasps. We then see a shot of her looking up at Major Convoy sitting in a chair, badly damaged and attached to medical equipment. “Why are you here?” she asks. A flashback shot shows Convoy at the helm, then a shot of their ship maneuvering through a chaotic, unstable landscape. It then switches to a wide shot from space as Unicron sinks his toothy maw into cybertron’s surface. The shot then cuts back to the damaged Convoy, looking depressed. “That is…a long story” He answers her. There is then a shot of hot rod ducking and weaving through a dense forest, avoiding blaster shots from behind him. “You will have to be my field commander for the time being” Convoy says, reluctantly. “I won’t let you down” Hot Rod responds, with a mix of humility and enthusiasm. A shot of ratchet shaking his head with a frown then another shot of him talking to Hot Rod, poking at his Autobot insignia. “Time to earn that badge lad; hope you’re up to the task” Ratchet comments. “This planet is peaceful and quiet, what’s there to worry about” voice over from Seaspray. During this line we see a shot of Scorponok’s base mode settled on earth’s moon, a close up pan across his/its decepticon symbol and switch to a shot inside as a group of triple-changer drones come online. “Trust me, that’s never a question worth asking” Blackarachnia’s voice answers Seaspray. We then see multiple shots of Sixshot training with a sword and in some cyber-ninja moves, then another of him angrily taking his tank mode and destroying two battle-damaged drones. There is then a shot of the multiple triple-changers under Sixshot’s command as he addresses them. “The time of our kind has come. No bot will ever look down on us again after we make this world our domain. A new Decepticon homeland…where our superiority is law” He declares. Over the latter part of his speech is multiple shots of the triple changers switching from their flying modes to ground modes and decimating a human military base. “The decepticons are here; this may not be the great war…but we have to stop them from hurting this planet” Convoy declares. “Why?” Blackarachnia asks skeptically. A shot shows Hot Rod produce his energy bow and draw back a bolt, then switches to him leading his team as they speed out of a tunnel in vehicle mode. “Autobots, let’s roll!” his voice is heard as they do. Another shot shows Bulkhead jumping onto the front of the charging form of Astrotrain’s train mode, clinging to its front. Astrotrain suddenly takes off into the sky in his shuttle mode, leaving Bulkhead to weakly grip to him, spinning through the air. Another shot shows hot rod held up over a cliffs edge, his throat tightly held by Sixshot. “Your wisdom requires some improvement, Autobot” Sixshot declares. A shot shows some of the triple-changers firing when they are struck by blotches of sticky webbing, disabling them. A previously pinned down hot rod and ratchet look up to see Blackarachnia’s spider mode crawl down a wall from above. We then see a close up shot of an angry Blackarachnia addressing her teammates in their ship. “You’re never going to trust me are you?!” she shouts in anger. We then see the whole team, including Flipsides and Blitzwing, on guard and surrounded by human military vehicles and soldiers. It then switches to a shot of Convoy attempting to stand but partly collapsing, then another of him banging the floor in frustration. We then see the human teenager running in slow motion as she’s chased by Apeface and Snapdragon in their beast modes. Another shot shows Sixshot lingering outside a cell holding an unseen horned bot. Another shot shows Ratchet, Skidz and Nautica examining data on a screen, while Nyx hangs from the ceiling in her bat mode next to them. “This world is too valuable” an unseen voice speaks up. As it does, there is a shot of three shadowy bots floating in space looking down on earth. There is then a shot of massive aerial dogfight between the decepticons and Spacewarp. Then there is a slow motion shot of the team being chased by an explosion; Hot Rod and Blackarachnia are fleeing in their alt modes while Bulkhead is running, carrying Ratchet and Seaspray under his arms. We then see a dark underwater shot from behind a group of mysterious merfolk approaching Seaspray, Nautica and Riptide. The next shot shows a close up of Seaspray and a female member of the merfolk drifting closer and touching hands. We then see as Hot Rod unearths a strange cybertronian weapon. “But what if we fail…what if…I fail?” his voice echoes over the shot. “That’s incredible…I’m terrified” Bulkhead says bluntly with a smile. We then see a fast montage of action shots; Bulkhead struggling against being grappled by Blitzwing and Octane, Blackarachnia ripping the head off a triple-changer drone and jabbing her back-mounted legs into another, Seaspray awkwardly running and tackling Shatter and Dropkick, Ratchet jumping a broken bridge in vehicle mode as three alien jets strafe him, Apeface and Snapdragon rampaging like kaiju through a human city, autobots and decepticons alike swept up in the oncoming wave of destroyed dam, Skidz and Snowcat driving into the large legs of Astrotrain, toppling him and Convoy tearing a large piece of machinery from a wall and throwing it at an unseen assailant. “Unable to locate compatible mode; no earth made terrestrial vehicles capable to contend with Decepticon designated Sixshot” A computer declares to Convoy As the computer speaks, a brief scene of Sixshot expertly shooting human jets out of the sky with his blasters is shown. Convoy slumps and sighs in response to the computers conclusion before turning back to it with interest. In a large room, Hot Rod and his teammates are surrounded by and in a standoff with the decepticons when all react to a sudden booming metallic trumpeting sound. Dropkick approaches a large door and peers through a slot only to panic as a loud thumping is heard approaching. He dives for cover as Convoy smashes through the door and wall in his robotic mammoth alt mode, destroying the nearby drones as well. Sixshot takes his wolf mode and a wide shot is seen of the two beasts charging each other and the scene cuts to black and the title just as they are about to clash. Transformers: Astray

The panicked masses and factions of Cybertron evacuate as the looming threat of the world eating Unicron rapidly approaches. Military commander Major Convoy breaks from his post to take a ship and rescue a group of trapped refugees; Hot Rod, Ratchet, Blackarachnia, Seaspray and Bulkhead. They barely escape the cataclysmic chaos of unicron’s arrival and consumption of cybertron. The group is all knocked into stasis as their damaged ship is thrown into a random warp.
Arriving in the vicinity of earth, convoy alone awakes and attempts to take control of the ships crash landing. He manages a controlled crash that saves the others, but he himself is badly damaged and is forced to remain connected to a life support system. Hot rod, eager to prove himself, is appointed Convoy’s proxy and the groups field commander. The crews hope is to remain hidden on earth until able to contact other cybertronians for help. Unfortunately for their plans, also present on earth are the decepticon triple changers, under the command of super solider Sixshot. The refugees are forced to remain hidden from the humans and thwart the decepticons efforts to begin a calculated conquest of the world for themselves. Major Convoy-a distant but decorated and experienced military leader in the elite guard Hot Rod-a gung-ho and eager young soldier looking to show his merit as an autobot leader Blackarachnia-a decepticon and criminal who remains aloof and untrusted by some of the other refugees (TFA design) Ratchet-a grumpy older autobot medic who tries to keep peace among the crew and monitor Convoy’s health Bulkhead-a large and clumsy but good natured civilian constructibot; he’s close friends with seaspray Seaspray-a awkward and nerdy aquatic specialist and scout who enjoys being on earth Sixshot-the infamous six changer and ninja master, he seeks to prove the superiority of multi-mode bots and make earth their new domain. Triple changers-Scorponok(base), Astrotrain, Blitzwing, Octane, Shatter, Dropkick, Apeface, Snapdragon, Flipsides Megaempress-a powerful, dangerous and devious decepticon commander long imprisoned within scorponok (look/colors mostly based on armada galvatron) Skidz, Nautica, Riptide, Snowcat, Nyx- a team of cybertronian explorers currently wandering earth Tidal Wave-a titan serving as the guardian and foundation of the underwater city of atlantis Spacewarp-a transformer pirate that frequents earth Sideways, Soundwave, Lyzack -mysterious rogue agents attempting to manipulate both sides of the conflict Nemesis-a dark, pure evil copy of Convoy of unknown origin

Katie!! thank you for asking!! 💕💕💕
ok so amnesia fic 👀 Basically John/Lydia that tales place after the dogfight in the planes, but where they both crash and end up somewhere in the woods, amidst broken plane parts, bruised and bloody, and John can’t remember anything since roughly the moment Joseph came back into his life.
So Lydia is like “well, shit” and stays with John until help (Peggies) arrive because it’s not like she wanted him dead. She just wanted him to calm tf down and leave people alone. But when the Peggies arrive they end up taking her hostage, because she’s the deputy and they’re mostly sure they’re supposed to do that. (and she goes willingly bc she’s pretty hurt and also unarmed so tf else is she gonna do?)
Which leads to John forming an attachment to the woman who saved him and treating her like a friend/asking her to stay while he recovers because she’s the only person besides Joseph that he knows. And he doesn’t feel guilty about not remembering her, like he does with Joe. And of course Lydia agrees out of guilt and a misplaced sense of obligation. (And that leads to her effectively working as Herald in John’s place)
also they start to fall for each other, of course. but she’s not gonna act on it because he doesn’t remember who they really are to each other.
also, because John doesn’t know what Jacob looks like as an adult, the first thing he says to Jacob is “who are you?” and Jake’s heart breaks in slow motion

“And all the stars that scream” “there are no happy endings” “what endings find us happiness”
OW FLAIM WHYYYY
ok here we go
“And all the stars that scream” would be a codex fic where Rex finds out what happened to Cody on Utapau and the aftermath, and ends in Rex going to Kamino in a royal snit to try and de-brainwash his husband. Unbeknownst to him, Cody’s no longer under the influence of the chip and is training the latest batch of stormtroopers. He’s bitter and lonely and depressed and hates what he’s doing. Sure, there was no glory in war, but he was fighting for a cause, fighting for honour and safety. There’s none of that in the Empire, and now he’s just training a bunch of kids who are freshly kidnapped and scared and he has to show them how to fight and he just can’t take it anymore. The Empire gets hold of Rex and tortures him in front of Cody, and Cody can’t do anything but watch and scream as his husband is slowly killed in front of him.
Eventually, the rebellion (and Ahsoka) comes to rescue them because Rex got a distress beacon out before he was captured and they get to a safe planet, but it’s too late to save Rex. He gets his happy reunion with Cody, but he dies in his husband’s arms. His last words are probably something sappy like ‘the stars were never as beautiful as you’ (because I like tying fic titles into dialogue for some reason), and Cody joins the rebellion and fights for all that Rex tried to save him from
(and now I’m sad and I want to write this. It’d probably be a multi-chapter epic with a giant playlist and fanart or something)
I thought about turning “There are no happy endings” into my usual obianidala with Obi-Wan moping post RotS but I’ve written three and posted two of those and it’s utterly fucking typical for me, so I’d say this would either be Vader reminiscing about the war and how happy he was and how he fucked it up, or it could be force ghost! Padme looking at Vader and Obi-Wan moping and murdering.
If we went Vader, it would start with Anakin and Obi-Wan and Padme waking up together and having a peaceful morning with the twins and Ahsoka dropping in and it’s all happy. And then Vader wakes up feeling slightly unsettled, like something from his past’s just come out of his head and whacked him on the helmet, but he ignores it and goes about his day. He keeps seeing things in the corner of his eye though, like there’s a kid following him around the ship. He just shrugs it off because there’s stormtroopers to intimidate and a death star to build, but it keeps him wondering about what really happened to Padme and Obi-Wan and their kids (he can’t be certain, but in those last dreadful moments before Padme’s force blinked out entirely he felt two children). Eventually he confronts Palpatine about it and Palpatine goes all torture-dark-lord-etc on him.
If we went Padme, the fic would open with her death, and seeing Qui-Gon in the force. He’d probably tell her what’s going down and she sits and watches over Luke and Leia and Obi-Wan (she can’t make herself even think about Vader in the early days, can’t think of the man he used to be and the monster he’s become), and eventually figures out what Ahsoka’s doing and helps her set up fulcrum. She’d appear to Luke and Leia a few times, she’d try to talk to Obi-Wan but he’s probably crawled into a bottle or something at this point and is therefore passing off her messages as hallucinations and ignoring it. Vader, on the other hand, is so desperate to hear from anyone from his family, so he imagines Padmé everywhere even though she’s not. Padmé sees what’s going on and tries to snap Vader out of the dark but it doesn’t work, and she tries to help Obi-Wan but it doesn’t work either and the fic ends with her bemoaning her husband’s fates and being sad I guess (thus the title, ‘there are no happy endings’. If I was actually gonna write this fic, it would be called ‘(there are no) happy endings’ just to drive the angst home).
(Oh no I kinda wanna write this one as well)
“What endings find us happiness” would be an au where Anakin didn’t fall, Padme didn’t die, Obi-Wan didn’t go off moping in the desert, and (most of) the clones listened to Rex and Fives and took out their chips. Fives survived because Fox had his guns on stun (like they were supposed to be) and so he was only knocked out; he was around for Anaxes and getting Echo back.
Mustafar plays out differently, with Obi-Wan and Anakin fighting a fallen Barriss, and as they’re barely escaping with their lives, Padme goes into labour. They end up at Polis Massa with Bail and Yoda etc, when the truth comes out about obianidala’s relationship. Yoda tells Anakin that Ahsoka is most likely dead, but Anakin insists that he can still feel her in the force. There’s an epic screaming match between Obi-Wan and Anakin, who are all for going off and looking for survivors, and Yoda, who wants everyone to go into a nice quiet exile.
Anakin ends up pinching a ship with his spouses and tiny children (Bail offers to look after them for a while and they very nearly take him up on it) and heading to the Mandalore system to try and find Ahsoka and the clones. Padme suggests that they check Utapau to see if Cody’s alive (and not under the 66 trance as well) but Obi-Wan can’t face it and Anakin’s freaking tf out about Ahsoka so they ignore Utapau for now.
Once they get to Mandalore, they find that Rex and Ahsoka have gone missing (and possibly the fake grave that they set up in the Ahsoka novel), as well as a dying Kix and a freaking out Jesse, with Fives and Echo nowhere to be found. Everyone freaks out and grabs the two survivors (despite the two clones involved in the chip debacle being 501, not many listened to Fives. A few removed their chips, and tried to protect Ahsoka when 66 went off but were gunned down. Rex and Jesse barely escaped with their lives, and Kix was shot several times while trying to save a brother) and they go off on a massive road trip, looking for everyone else. Kix recovers slowly in this time, but Anakin has to build him a prosthetic leg and he’s still in a lot of pain. Jesse usually refuses to leave his side.
They’re about six months into the ‘road trip’ (complemented with newborns, injury recovery, and the usual PTSD and nightmares combo that they all have) when they find Rex, who’s laying low somewhere in the outer rim. Rex has no idea where Ahsoka went after they parted ways, so they start methodically checking all the planets near Mandalore first, and then they get to Thabeska and find her there, about to head back to Raada to save Kaeden and Miara (they also find out about Bail’s rebellion at this point). Raada plays out pretty much the same. Ahsoka still gets her sabers, and Bail ends up hiding them on Alderaan until the proper rebel base is set up.
Once the base is set up and they’re monitoring Imperial chatter, they hear reports about two renegade clones causing trouble in the outer rim territories. They start to monitor those frequencies more carefully, and eventually hear of an attack on Kamino by these two. Obi-Wan and Padme, who become the commanders of that particular base, send Anakin and a squad of X-Wings to Kamino to extract the clones and help them out.
The clones turn out to be Fives and Echo, trying to rescue Cody and Wolffe, and any other clones, dechipped or not (Wolffe’s chip was damaged when Ventress took his eye, he managed to pull himself out of the 66 trance just after Plo was shot down). Anakin and his squad get them out with a couple casualties (Bly is still on Kamino when Fives takes out his chip, he sacrifices himself so that the others can escape because he can’t live with the fact that he killed his General, his riduur) and head back to the base.
There’s lots of tearful reunions when they get off the ship. Ahsoka immediately launches herself at Fives and Echo. Rex and Cody refuse to leave each other’s sides for ages, and there’s a very emotional conversation had along the lines of ‘I should have listened to you’. Cody and Obi-Wan have their reunion as well and that’s sad as hell.
Life goes on in the Rebellion, Kaeden and Ahsoka get married when they turn 20, and the twins grow up with X-wings for playgrounds and the sounds of air-raid sirens as a lullaby (some nights, when Padme’s waiting up for Anakin, who’s in an X-wing far above, engaged in desperate dogfights with the TIE’s that Palpatine sends, and Obi-Wan’s in the control room, she wishes she’d left her children with Bail or Mon. No child should grow up in a war zone. And then 3 year old Luke starts snoring in the bed beside her and Leia’s hair is in her mouth as her daughter does the octopus on her shoulder, and she thinks that she can never leave them no matter what). Other surviving Clones and Jedi make their way to the rebellion as well, until there’s a thriving community on an outer rim planet full of retired Clones and Jedi and their families.
A New Hope plays out differently: the twins have been trained (by Ahsoka and Obi-Wan and Anakin) and they know what they’re doing, and Luke and Ahsoka waste no time in grabbing some random smuggler off of tatooine and dragging him out to the death star, where Ahsoka and Barriss fight as Han and Luke rescue Leia. The twins help their older sister and get her (injured, but alive) onto the ship, and Luke joins the death star run while his parents and sisters are chewing their nails to the quick down in the war room.
Empire Strikes Back is much the same, including Luke heading to Dagobah because Obi-Wan,  Anakin, and Ahsoka decided they needed Yoda’s help to deal with Barriss. The Han and Leia arc plays out the same, and Luke still goes to rescue them and fights Barriss again.
Return of the Jedi is also pretty much the same as in canon, but it’s Ahsoka and Luke who go up to the Death Star and fight the Emperor and Barriss. There’s an emotional scene between Barriss and Ahsoka at the very end, where Barriss comes back to the light and apologises for what she did. There’s a party on Endor which turns into Wedge and Luke’s impromptu wedding; Han and Leia get married a few days later.
Everything is happy and nice and calm, no one dies, and nothing bad ever happens to them ever again the end.
(I also want to write this one as a full-blown au like what I planned modern au to be)
