Soundwave

No one knows how exactly Soundwave ever fell in love with a human, let alone the reason why he kept it a secret, but if he was willing to go this far for you, then it means that you are—without a doubt—special to him (but what he sees in you is what makes everyone else aboard the Nemesis curious, once the secret's out of course).

The moment before the two of you began officially dating, they made it clear that you must keep the relationship a secret, and as such, this may not be the best or happiest relationship. Meetings must be secret and planned in advance, and he's more often than not kept aboard the Nemesis for work, meaning that it's a rare treat to even see him.

But they try their best to be a good partner. He frequently sends you gifts, and most of the time spent together is over texts, so it's kind of like a long-distance relationship. But whenever the two of you have a moment you can spend together in person, he enjoys going sightseeing. But he has to be careful about how frequently he uses groundbridges, because every destination is most likely recorded and kept on a datalog that he can't easily erase without arousing some suspicion.

The two of you have most likely spoken about the war before, and whether you decided to pop a question about leaving the decepticons is up to you. But he comes to learn that being around you makes them realize just how exhausting the war is. It never used to feel this draining. It never used to take such a massive toll on him. It never used to feel so... Hopeless. It's depressing, honestly, which makes him look forward to the little moments of peace he experiences whenever he sees you.

But those moments didn't last as long as he would've liked. They didn't know who may have done it, or how it happened, but when Megatron requested to meet with them, they never expected to learn that he would find out about you. Megatron forced them to explain themselves and to tell him all about you. But luckily he had prepared for this eventuality in advance, despite how depressing it is.

The two of you had talked about what would happen in the event that your relationship was discovered, and you both came up with 2 plans.

1. Fake your death. Say that Megatron found out about you, but he doesn't know your real name, where you lived, or any important information about you in general. Soundwave would risk giving him false information and leading him to kill someone else instead. Unfortunately in this eventuality, it will mean that the two of you can never see one another again, unless you both want to risk your lives again.

2. Bring you to the Autobots and entrust them to protect you. Let's say that in this eventuality, Megatron knows who you are, where you live, etc.. And depending on whether he's taken the initiative and taken you aboard the Nemesis, or still plans on taking you aboard, this plan has varying degrees of success. Ideally, Soundwave would contact the Autobots, requesting to meet, and he would bring you to the rendezvous coordinates and pass you off to them. It would be hard to make this appear as if the Autobots randomly showed up and stole you away, so once again, the chances are that you'll most likely never see eachother again, but in this case he's at a significantly bigger risk of dying.

But after some deep, deep thinking, he came up with a third. Leave the Decepticons. He loves you more than he can ever express, he loves you enough to even consider this option, but that doesn't make it any easier. He's dedicated a good portion of his life to the Decepticon cause, he's witnessed the rise of the cause, the loss that it brought, and the fall of Cybertron, but he still remained loyal to Megatron. But it all changed when he met you. He doesn't understand how or why he ever let you get as close as you did, but he wouldn't even dare to change a thing. It's just a shame that he can't chose this option now.

After he knows that lazerbeak has brought you to the autobots safely—after he finds a clawed hand digging into his plating and pinning him down, the pressure increasing ever so slightly and threatening to crush his throat—after shards of his visor fall to the floor, and there, he comes face to face with Megatron who glares down at him with nothing but disgust and malice—even now, he could look back on all that he's gone through with you to where he's found himself now, and his only regret is that he didn't have enough time for you. No matter the outcome, they're prepared to face whatever comes for them.

Starscream

How the two of you met and let alone even became a couple is a story that not a single soul will ever know, but honestly given the situation the two of you are in, you'd both most likely think it's for the best.

Out of everyone else on the Nemesis, he knows well what will happen in the event that Megatron finds out about you, and he knows that the fallout of it all won't bode well for either of you. He's had nightmares about what would happen, and the worst one was where he was forced to kill you or else Megatron was going to do worse. He's rarely had that dream, but every time it's never failed to leave him worse than a shaking mess.

He understands that this isn't the easiest relationship to be in, and he feels guilty that all he can offer you are sparse gifts and comforting words through text rather than in person. So he tries his hardest to make what little time he does spend with you, the best days of your life.

It's hard to get resources to set up little picnics, or to even get you a wrapped gift, and it's even harder to hide it from the other decepticons, but he tries anyway for your sake despite the high risk it poses to you both. And some cons begin to notice that he seems rather eager to go outside for a flight, much more than he used to, so some begin to suspect that he may be up to something.

At times you even go weeks without hearing anything from him because it's too risky to send you even a single text. But every time this happens, he tries his best to make it up to you when he gets back to you. Yet no matter how many times you assure him that you forgive him with the most sincere look you can muster, that does nothing to silence the part of him that thinks: it won't be long until he'll hear you say those words for the last time.

He's grateful for your forgiveness each and every time, yet all good things will come to pass no matter how much he'd try to stop it. He just hopes that this ends with no blood or energon spilt, and that you'd walk away without so much as a measly scratch, but since when was Starscream ever that lucky?

One day, someone found out about you. He doesn't know who or how, but he'd personally hunt them down and damn them to the pits of Kaon if he was given even so much as just their name, but much to his misfortune, he's denied that possibility as he's forced to flee from the Nemesis and reach you before the other decepticons do.

Knowing you better than anyone, he's able to accurately guess where you might be that day, and with little time to spare he scoops you up and blasts off as he tries to communicate the gist of the situation in as little words as possible as he tries to avoid fleets of vehicons that have been sent after the two of you.

He can't keep running away forever, primarily because of your sake. You have a life of your own to live, and he'd rather throw himself into an active war zone than ruin your life. He hates having to do this, but if has to contract the autobots in order to keep you safe, then so be it. He sends a message under the guise that he's taken you hostage and demands for them to meet him at a set of specific coordinates, and if everything goes according to his half-baked plan, then you'll be safe.

But what about him, you ask? Starscream is visibly hesitant to answer, and even when he responds he doesn't truly answer your question. He simply assures you that the autobots will keep you safe because his first and foremost priority here is your own safety and welbeing. You may not see or hear from him for a while, but he'll be fine! He'll figure something out, you can count on his word for it.

Dreadwing

He hardly leaves the Nemesis unless he's dispatched for a mission, so it's very difficult for him to find any time to spend around you in person. Sure, he has free range of the Nemesis and he can leave and fly as he pleases, but the more he does this, the more suspicious it will look, so unfortunately for your sake and his, he has to keep your meetings in person few and far between.

But he makes it up to you in an abundance of text messages. Each message he sends you is long, eloquent, and teeming with his admiration for you, it's like a love letter of sorts, and each is more charming and sweet than the last. And despite how he may seem, he can be quite the conversationalist given the right topic, and he keeps rather entertaining conversations going between the two of you, and they more often than not last very late into the night.

He can be quite the romantic gentleman, and at times his words are so poetic (and maybe a little cheesy) that it might lead you to think that he seeks his inspiration from a beautiful blend of old, romantic cybertronian works and human love stories (or maybe it's from those cheesy romance movies that play in the drive-in theaters).

His favorite memory of the two of you together was when he took you out to stargaze. You were both talking about your ideal futures, and you had started, making sure to emphasize that you wanted him to be part of it for sure one day, no matter what happens. The moment was sweet, and despite however unlikely it was that the two of you would ever be able to spend your days together without any fear, he promised that one day he would be able to devote himself to you in the way he wishes he could, that he would be with you for eternity.

But eternity is never truly eternal. In an ever changing and evolving world where even the deepest secrets eventually come to light, that dream shriveled up and died the moment he had been summoned before Megatron to speak about his little "human pet" he's kept on the sidelines for so long now.

Though his lord's disdain and immeasurable disappointment was meant to shame him into correcting his ways and "disposing" of distractions like you as Megatron suggested if he were to regain his honor, he found himself far more concerned with your own safety. You're far more vulnerable than he is, and though the price he must pay for your safety is tantamount to sacrificing his own life, then so be it. He chose you, and now he is willing to pay any price and bear any burden that comes with it.

Though he has to break the sound barrier in order to do it, he manages to reach you in time and deliver you to safety. He quickly explains that he's informed the autobots of your situation and that you will be safe under their careful watch while he goes to face Megatron alone. But unfortunately no matter how many times you persuade him to come with you, even if Optimus was there to agree with you and help advocate your point, Dreadwing can't bring himself to do it.

Betraying the decepticon cause may be one thing, but to forget it all and run away with you is something he doesn't believe he can act upon--he promises that it's not that he doesn't love you, it's that he has a very complicated relationship with the cause now, and this is his way of properly dealing with it. Honor is a very important thing to him, you know this as well as he does, and this is something he must confront head-on, even if the chances of his survival are slim. No conniving plans, no tricks, no deceit, it is just him and Megatron.

And eventually, as he finds himself fading in and out of consciousness, overwhelming shame floods him. Not only has he betrayed the Decepticons, but he's betrayed his promise of an eternity with you. Even as he sees a blade slowly rise above his head, poised to strike at any second, all he can really think of is how he wishes he could plead for your forgiveness and do whatever he could to earn your love and trust again.

Dating [Tfp] Ratchet Headcanons

( This old man was the biggest crush Highschool! Me had and he deserves all the love and he doesn’t get enough of it )

The reason you’re with Ratchet is beyond him, whether you’re a human or fellow Autobot, you’re much younger than him. You could do so much better and yet you’ve chosen to love on the old man of Team Prime

He’s very reserved and prefers to keep your relationship private, on the down-low so to speak.

Things like PDA and nicknames aren’t really something he feels comfortable with expressing in front of everybody, especially the kids. He already endures enough of Miko’s teasing about his soft spot for you and yes, it did get worse when you two officially got together. She’s your biggest supporter, deal with it.

At the very most, he’ll rest a servo on the small of your back and gently pat the top of your head.

He’s extremely gentle! Whether you’re a human or Cybertronian, his touch is always so loving and comforting.

While he may voice his disdain for organics, he isn’t entirely despondent of Homo Sapians. He just holds concern for involving humans in their affairs in the first place. In truth, he holds some respect for the human race for coming such a long way. Ratchet would be devestated to see them fall down the same path as the Cybertronians.

If you are a human, it takes a real long time before you two end up dating and even then, Ratchet’s circuits are in disarray struggling to rationalize why someone like you would want to be with someone like him.

If you’re a fellow Autobot, Ratchet is mainly worried how his personal relationship with you might affect his work.

He already worries so much for the others, but you- Ratchet is constantly worried, always checking you for injuries when you return from missions and making sure your Energon levels are properly balanced.

For as much as he cares and fusses over you, you already know he doesn’t even spare himself a moments rest.

You are constantly having to fight him on taking a break, recharging, and just taking care of himself in general. He sacrifices a lot for his team and still strives to do more.

While an honorable endeavor on his part, it’s obvious how much burning the candle on both ends begins to take a toll on him.

Ratchet doesn’t exactly considering himself the most romantic bot, but he makes attempts to indulge you.

Do NOT expect cheesy things from him though, he’s an old mech and he isn’t going to waste time on ‘silly’ grand gestures when he can have an honest conversation with you face-to-face.

As a fellow Autobot, you hardly get downtime. Ratchet spares himself even less time to relax- Yet, in the middle of the night, when the world is quiet and the base is still- You can coax his servos into your own, pulling him back to your shared habsuite and into the metal slab of your berth. Lying close together where your chassis is pressed against his and the thrum of your sparks sync together as one.

It’s considerably harder though if you’re human- While you may spend a lot of time at base with him and the others, you have a life outside of him. Family, friends, work, and college- Somedays, he wishes you to do better than him, to find a partner who can truly and fully commit to you in all aspects of life.

You make him forget those worries of his every chance you get, reassuring him that you know what you signed up for and are more than happy to be with him.

Nicknames like “Sweetspark” “Hummingbird” are his favorite to use and while he isn’t too keen on nicknames for himself, he won’t get after you for calling him “Dear”. He rather enjoys it actually, but don’t tell Bumblebee or Smokescreen- or Primus forbid, Miko. He won’t ever hear the end of it.

Overall, Ratchet is a fine mech who, while may not always have or make the time for you, makes it clear that you are special to him. Regardless of metal or flesh.

(Transformers Prime) You Ask Them to Drive You for Ice Cream

Optimus Prime: It depends on what's going on. He has a lot on his mind, but there is also a curiosity about the ways of people. If he's swamped with Prime responsibilities, he may suggest you inquire with Bumblebee or Bulkhead to take you instead. But on a good day, he just might pull away from his duties and take you himself. When he learns that going for ice cream is also a method of cheering someoneup, he'll offer to take you if he thinks you could use it.

Bumblebee: Absolutely! He is the most enthusiastic about a request like this. As long as he isn't in the middle of a throwdown with Decepticons, all you have to do is say the word. He loves any opportunity to go for a drive, and especially enjoys seeing you happy once you have the sweet treat.

Ratchet: Will say no immediately without hesitation. However... that isn't his final answer every time. His first instinct is to wave off the request and say he has too much to do, and that there's no time for silly Earth customs. But you've grown on him. He just might change his mind after a minute or two of thinking it over. He'll never admit it, but underneath the attitude, it warms his spark to see you so happy over something so simple.

Bulkhead: He'll take you, no problem. He likes getting out of the base, and it makes him glad to see you enjoying your treat. He will definitely note this custom and offer to take you anytime he sees you feeling down, or if you just need to take your mind off anything stressful.

Arcee: She'll shrug with a, "yeah, sure." She's not exactly over the moon about it, but not at all opposed. Any opportunity to zoom out of base for a bit is worth it. After seeing how it made you happy, she might nonchalantly offer to take you in the future, playing it off like it's something she's doing begrudgingly. But actually, she enjoys it.

I redesigned my redesign a little bit; mostly the wings cuz they were awkward and for some reason I forgot bat wings are their fingers; anyways I do have more ideas for him this time so this is also what it’s about 😛

What I imagine is that his bat wings Could be screens! (Btw the Shockwave here is just a filler design I don’t yet have any redesign ideas for him) Either or both screens in general, and or holographic screens; more specifically could be attributed to Haptic Holography, in which it could be interacted with and be felt via ultrasonic waves (from Soundwave) which the person of contact could feel it tactically although it being a hologram;;

both handy for meetings (sensors could be used to make users be able to interact with the imagery) And combat if you asked me, like imagine thinking you’re fighting someone yet you really aren’t, you’re just punching air but you don’t know that, and you have no way of winning cuz you’re getting hit by sound waves that Soundwave is emitting at the right time and place yet you cannot hear but you assume it’s your opponent hitting back, and your opponent never falters cuz they’re not real

This is also just a concept of his bridging system he had in Prime 🤔 I figured he could utilize a more silent and stealthy space bridge instead of that bright and loud bridge that Prime had going on 🙄 essentially Soundwave ripping a hole in a space to get from one side of a pocket to the other; but likely he wasn’t forged with the ability like Skywarp’s warping is, and instead he had it implemented to him later on 😌 and also yeah he has his typical telepathy/intense hearing abilities; tho I have yet to consider if he’d be able to do echolocation 🤔 purely for the ultra sonic stuff and being a bat probably

Headcanons with TFP optimus with a Cybertronian s/o who is smaller than him that is usually timid and keeps to themselves but occasionally will get the z o o m i e s and climb up his frame like a kitten just to look at him wide eye and speak calmly like "Oh hello beloved"

First time around and most likely very early into the relationship, he would've probably fretted that something was wrong when he'd see you race around, but upon learning that it's just a case of—as you call it—the "zoomies" he offers to go out for a drive or a walk somewhere private to burn off all the energy.

If you take him up on the offer, it's usually just him walking around an area nice and calmly while you run wildly around, bolting here and there, doing circles and whatnot. He doesn't really intend to do any rigorous exercising or even jogging while he's out for a peaceful walk—sometimes he even just sits and watches you race around—it's just the way he enjoys spending his outdoor time, and you've basically run 60+ laps around the entire area while he's still a quarter into his first.

And the first time you began clambering up his back, he was nearly taken by surprise and he very well could've lost his balance and fallen flat on his back, but he swiftly steadied himself. As you pulled yourself up on his shoulder and stared him directly in the eyes, he didn't hesitate to ask if something was wrong, again, but once you explained that no, nothing was wrong, it's just the zoomies, he just nodded and accepted that as fact. But please let him know before you start climbing him like a tree.

But further into the relationship, he'll get so used to it that he won't even bat an eye as he feels you clamber up his leg. He'll hold completely still, or hold onto something for balance if need be, and the moment he sees your figure in his peripheral vision, he'll look at you and respond with a deadpan, "Hello, Y/N."

(Transformers Prime) Introducing Them to Shows/Movies

Optimus: He doesn’t want to appear rude, but at first his interest in things like that is minimal. He has paused his Prime tasks and deep thought to observe briefly out of curiosity, but it’s not something that he feels inclined to immerse himself in. He’ll listen to you talk about them if it’s something you’re interested in, and certainly give you undivided attention for amounts of time.

The stories he’s most drawn to, if any, are heartwarming tales that focus more on the good of humanity.

Bumblebee: He really likes television. Bring on the movies! He will spend hours binging a show or having a movie marathon, and is fairly open to new things to a point.

He hangs out with Raf a lot, so he’s gotten used to shows and movies aimed at younger audiences right off the bat. Action and car chases are also a plus, if the overall tone of the movie isn’t too dark. He really gets into superhero movies that deal with good guys versus bad guys, with the good guys always winning in the end.

Ratchet: He regards such subjects with disdain and acts like these Earth things are beneath him, yet you catch him pausing mid-task with whatever tool or device in his hand as he watches the screen and slowly begins to get sucked in. He will act like he doesn’t care the second you notice him watching and continue on his way.

He’d be drawn to dramas like fictional crime, medical dramas, and even the occasional cheesy, romance flick. He may complain about the main characters, but it only betrays how invested he is in seeing the conflict resolved.

Bulkhead: He approaches TV and shows with an open mind initially and is down to learn more about Earth culture. He quickly finds that he does have preferences. True crime is something Miko watches on occasion, but he can’t stomach it. He gets a little queasy and even covers his face, so she doesn’t put it on a whole lot when he’s around.

He does, however, really like action movies. Guns and explosions are his thing, and he can really get into a movie with a tough main character.

Arcee: She isn’t super into television or movies unless it has a lot of action. She’s not into marathons or binges, but she will park herself for a period of time to enjoy a movie or show.

She really enjoys car chase scenes (especially with motorcycles). She digs the special effects and not-so-secretly has a tendency to take maneuvers she saw a bike do on TV and test whether it’s doable in real life.

daily koss #17: human horror films … bsky

Ever since Knock Out mentioned going to the drive-in theatre in s03e08 I’ve been wanting to draw him taking Starscream to a movie… Starscream can’t rock up to the parking lot in plane mode, but camping out on a hill nearby is the next-best thing (he has those ultra-zoom Seeker eyes, anyway, and Knock Out’s already seen this one).

(They’re watching a rerun of The Thing [1982]! I can imagine Knock Out is intrigued by the gore [especially cuz it’s not getting on him] but Starscream is like *shudders* organics have so many disgusting wet and squishy parts inside of them LMAO I also think they’d both be like “it can only assimilate carbon-based lifeforms? HA! we could defeat this ‘thing’ easily… and it would be so useful too…”)
