9. When did you realize you weren't cishet?

it was really gradual! it all started back in 2020 when I first became chronically online- I noticed people were using they/them as a default a lot and I didn't want to make people feel bad for calling me by pronouns that I didn't use, so I made my pronouns she/they for accessibility. and then the Horrors began /lh

no but then I started getting really disillusioned with Pure Girlhood and eventually added he/him to my pronoun set and it was all downhill from there. I don't know what's going on currently but it's rainbow staticky eldritch goop. that's my gender. it's also what comes out of me if you were to gut me. I have never read Homestuck. next question

10. Something that gives you gender euphoria (whether you're cis or trans):

people saying I have "trans swag" or calling me "gender". oh my god all I want is for people to look at me and think "whoa that's a cool looking... person-thing." rather than "oh wow that girl is so beautiful and girly" (for a long time I didn't wear skirts. now I wear long flowy ones!! they're lovely I love them. but I hate short skirts blegh)

21. What message would you give to your younger self?

chief I would just start crying. that little pink-loving blonde dinosaur special interest girlboss who was scared of fnaf just. isn't me anymore and I'm so fucking scared that who am I now is a persona and secretly this whole time I've just been lying to myself about who I am, and now I don't fucking know anymore.

but after that small identity crisis I would start telling her all about Amphibia and Gravity Falls and that she can kiss girls and it's totally cool !! infodumping to my younger self. I think she would delight in that knowledge and to know that I'm not a totally miserable mess in the future

I'd also ask her what the hell the plot of Portals: The Magic Discovered was because I started writing it when I was eight and it was really well-made and I had a plan for fifty chapters and I remember almost NOTHING of where I was going with it, but I really want to rewrite it sometime

Synopsis: Your boyfriend, Peter, doesn't make it to your birthday dinner. So you walk home alone, only to run into the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

A very tired Y/n stumbled over the bumpy sidewalk of New York, cursing under her breath whenever she nearly stepped in a puddle. Her purse was crossed along her body and a bottle of wine swung from her hand.

She made her way home quickly and in annoyance, not wanting to be out any longer than she had to. With that in mind, she took a shortcut through an alleyway.

"Ma'am, stop right there!" A voice behind her shouted. She hesitantly turned, about to blow the person off, before she saw the city's masked hero within a few feet's distance.

"Holy shit! Oh, fuck did I do something? If it's the wine— I'm legally allowed to own it! And I have my ID, so please don't arrest me. I'm not even drunk!” a startled Y/n shouted.

"No, no! It’s okay," The vigilante approached her.

"Oh, okay," She said, touching her heart and sighing in relief. "Sorry for getting all jumpy there. It’s been a long day."

"No, you're fine! I didn't mean to scare you. I was just gonna say, you really shouldn't be walking home by yourself. It's not exactly safe, especially at night," He explained through an overly deepened voice.

"I know it's not," Sighed the girl. "My friends tried to get me to walk home with them, but my place isn't that far. And I'm really not in the mood to talk to anyone."

She continued her path, glancing back at him to add a quick, "No offense."

"None taken," He replied through a jog, catching up to her. "Did you just happen to be carrying around a bottle of wine with you, though?" He softly laughed at her antics.

"Uhh, yeah, just tonight." She returned a weak one.

"What's the occasion?" He asked, though he already knew the answer.

"It's my birthday. I'm 21 now and I wanna have my first drink with my boyfriend. He couldn't make it to my party and the restaurant let me bring one home with me."

She smiled sadly, lifting the bottle up so he could see the written For the birthday girl, enjoy! that a waitress had signed in permanent marker.

Peter felt guilty hearing this. Not only because he didn't make it to her birthday, but because she still waited for him. Wanting to share the special moment— despite him having missed it entirely.

"Happy birthday, then." The masked boy spoke, voice cracking as he said it. "I hope you spent it well."

"It was... eh. But thank you."

"Why was it 'eh'?" He asked, holding his breath.

"It's just, I don't know." She shrugged, not wanting to get into it.

She pondered for a moment, then, "I'm not trying to be rude or like, ungrateful, but don't you have actual Spider-Man stuff to do?"

He shook his head, "Making sure you get home safely is just as important as any other mission to me... plus, I wanted to make sure you were okay."

"That's nice, but I wouldn't want you to stop helping someone who actually needs it because of me."

"It's fine," He waved a hand in dismissal. "Don't even worry about it. I was pretty much done for the night anyway."

All she did was nod, not entirely convinced, then he spoke again.

"Sooo.. your birthday," He started.

"Right, yeah. It was fine, I guess."

"How come?"

"You're already walking me home, the last thing I want is for you to be my therapist too." She joked.

"Well, maybe I could help cheer you up... I like to help people. It's what I do."

"My friends already tried.. and failed. What makes you think you can?"

"I'd try my luck," He suggested. "Or we could walk in awkward silence."

She laughed at that, to which he said, "So what's got you down?"

"Okay, I mean.. like I said, my boyfriend didn't show up at the restaurant, soo I kinda spent the whole night staring at the door in case he did."

"Oh." He mumbled. "Sounds like a shitty boyfriend," He whispered, a little more to himself.

"He isn't," She shook her head a few too many times.

"He's naturally late to things, yeah. And he can't always make it to stuff. But when he is there.. His presence makes everything so much better." She said truthfully.

Peter hummed in understanding, his heart feeling heavy at her defending words. Here he was in a Spider-Man suit, meanwhile she wore her best party outfit. Not even cursing at the boy for his absence.

He didn't deserve her, he thought.

"Did he at least call? You know, saying he couldn't make it?"

Silence filled the air momentarily, which was enough of an answer. Still, she said, "He usually does..."

"Yeah?" He swallowed the forming lump in his throat.

"He— he always lets me know if he can't. And he did wish me a Happy Birthday! It's just— he's— I don't know what's going on with him anymore." She gave a teary laugh.

"Sometimes, it just feels like he's gonna break up with me. I feel like he wants to do it, but he's waiting around for the perfect opportunity, y'know?" She quickly wiped her now forming tears. "Sorry, I sound really pathetic."

"What?! No. No... You don't." He paused. "You— you really think he's gonna break up with you?" He dreadfully asked.

"I don't know," She gave a weak shrug. "He's like, distant lately."

"Have you.. Have you tried talking to him about it?"

"I've tried, yeah." She chewed on her lip nervously, thinking of the many instances where he canceled at the last minute when she intended on speaking with him.

"Like just this week, I asked to meet up after his afternoon class because I wanted to know if something was wrong, but..." She trailed off, holding back more tears.

"He canceled," He finished her sentence, wincing at her confirming nod.

"Right, and it's like, what am I doing wrong?" She added helplessly.

"Nothing! You're not doing anything wrong," He said through an interior panic.

"Doesn't feel like it."

They continued walking as Peter thought of the correct words to say. She'd laid her thoughts right there at his feet and he didn't know what the right move was.

He gave a desperate sigh, then proceeded to say, "I don't think he wants to break up with you."

"Seriously? That's what you're gonna tell me? You don't know that—"

"Hear me out... It's just, you know. Maybe he has a lot going on and.." He started, feeling overwhelmed.

"And maybe he hasn't been able to really tell you everything he wants you to know because he's scared. Scared to lose you. Or scared that you're already slipping away from him." He rambled on.

She slowed down her pace, tilting her head at him as a sense of familiarity within his words settled in.

He wasn't faking his tone anymore, and she wasn't as in her head as she was when he first found her.

"But you're not doing anything wrong, okay, Y/n?" He continued, voice breaking as he stepped closer to her. "I can promise you that."

She looked around to make sure the streets were empty before abruptly stopping in her tracks, eyeing him, when it finally clicked for her. She inched closer to him, while her shaky fingers tentatively reached towards the bottom of his mask.

She did so slowly, making sure he had time to stop her if he wanted to.

"Wait," He put his hand over hers. "It's not really.. It's not safe to do that here."

She understood and immediately withdrew her hand, taking a few steps back.

"Do you trust me?" He walked towards her, carefully placing his hands on her hips. With a nod, she wrapped her arms around his neck.

Just like that, he aimed at a nearby building and shot a web, swinging with her in his arms. Her body tightly hugged him as they made their way to the rooftop of Peter's old apartment building. The same place they had their first date.

A sloppy "Happy Birthday" was webbed above the projector that was setup, along with blankets on an old couch that they’d made out on several times.. A few of her favorite drinks and snacks placed there as well. She noticed them as he gently put her down.

She once again turned to look at him, but his mask was already off.

"I'm sorry I missed your birthday, Princess."

"Oh, Peter," She frowned and went to cup his face. "Who did this to you?"

"It doesn't matter," He said softly, leaning into her hands.

"I'm so sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I really wanted to... But I never knew when or how to do it. And tonight, I wanted to be there." His lips trembled.

"You have no idea how much I wanted to be there. But some guy had this really wonderful idea to rob a bank on your day, which caused a lockdown and eventually it led to a car pileup—"

She placed a kiss on his lips, shutting him up while holding onto the back of his neck in order to keep him close.

"I saw the news, Pete." She said once they parted and hugged him tightly, body shaking as she did so.

"Are you crying?" He asked through furrowed brows. "I'm so sorry I upset you, I—"

"I'm not upset with you. You don't have to apologize."

"You're not?"

"I mean, I was upset when I thought you were preparing some 'it's not you, it's me' speech on my birthday. And the thought of that hurts a lot more than knowing you kept this from me."

"I shouldn't have ever made you feel like we were gonna breakup, I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to give you that impression. You have every right to be upset at me for it." He hung his head low in shame.

"Thank you for owning up to it, but it's okay now, love. I'm okay now that you're here," She reassured him. "And I'm really glad you trusted me enough to share this with me."

"Of course I trust you. I had it all planned out.. We were supposed to go to dinner first and then come here. I was gonna explain everything up here, but things just got all messy, as always."

"I just said it's okay," She giggled, tracing the spider on his chest. "Besides, I can't complain when you look this good in your suit."

She smiled at his forming blush and messed up hair, then leaned in to kiss him once again.

"I love you," He whispered against her lips.

"I love you too, Spider-Man."

My Hero Academia is one of my main DRs and I always enjoy reading / listening to MHA shifters talk about their experiences there, it gives me so much motivation and it's usually super interesting.

So I thought about some questions I'd like to ask experienced shifters about their MHA DRs. Just random things I'm curious about. If you've shifted there and would like to answer (just for fun, feel free to skip any questions you're not comfortable with!) please reblog with your answers, or make a new post and tag me so I can read it. (You can also answer if you haven't shifted, based on your script and ideas, just let us know at the beginning).

1- First, are you a student or a pro hero / teacher / adult?

2- Mandatory question: What's your quirk?? Do you have any special moves?

3- Are you related to any canon characters? (as family or previous relationships like childhood friends, rivals...)

4- Any non-canon characters we haven't seen in the series who are part of your life? (like siblings, scripting your CR friends in there, or having children in your DR)

15- Has anyone seen Bakugo's room or Tsuyu's room? They're the only ones that weren't shown in the series (Mineta's was described in the light novel), I'm curious to know how they decorated them!

I just wanted to say your posts single-handedly made me like Sho and I made a new account with him as my starter.

I'm still not through with ch2 on my first account (why are the battles so hard I only have 2 SRs to help me and rainbow apples are so limited T-T) so at that point I'd only seen Sho ignore mc and remember getting a short campus event where he literally goes "Oh it's just you, what do you want" or something along those lines so I thought he'd be just as bad as Leo lol. And ngl his design wasn't one of my favorites? But I'm the type who quickly grows on whoever I decide to like so now I love him and his silly bandana and the fact he literally wheels around with Bonnie in fights lol.

I'm especially curious about the Like Dove thing and how it works, initially I thought it was a conscious decision to send (like how Kaito assumed the gossiping girls sent it over for him/Luca) but I sincerely doubt anyone in Vagastrom was popular enough to get one (just bc they're scary) so why did it show up in front of mc and Sho when they barely had talked at that point??? Did he already like her or is it more like a "koi no yokan" thing?? I'm so curious about it. Does it show up in ch3 too? I don't see much mention of it.

Anyways, thank you for your Sho drabbles I love reading them sm!! Honestly I wish someone would upload the whole story somewhere so I can play the game at my own pace bc rn I'm just ITCHING to dump resources and try to get ahead (unsuccessfully)

I also thought Sho was going to be just as bad as Leo and didn't like his design. The more he actually talked to MC and just in general the more that changed. He's not that bad of a guy at the end of the day, just loyal to a fault. I even like his little bandanna now, it's cute.

From the way Kaito describes the like dove I personally took it to mean that it was attracted to strong positive feelings towards someone. It can't exactly be sent somewhere because it is a sentient anomalous and independent animal. There are a few explanations for how the writers determine when it shows up, so I'll just work through my thoughts here.

The boring answer: stealing this one from someone on reddit, but the Like Dove shows up when MC starts making progress on getting close to the ghouls in the dorm. It shows up in Chapter 21 of Book 2 because Leo uses MC's enhancement and Sho feels sorry for her. I don't like this answer as much because it does not exactly explain why the Like Dove does not show up until the end of Book 3, as at least 2/3 of Jabberwock's ghouls like her pretty much from the start.

Still boring but slightly more fun answer: the like dove shows up when MC starts to have or accepts having positive feelings towards the ghouls around her. It appears in Chapter 21 and at the end of Book 3 because MC feels like she's really starting to help their dorms. This does not exactly work with Kaito's explanation that the dove comes to you when someone has positive feelings towards you.

"Yuri is doing lines of cope again" crack answer: I think describing it as a "koi no yokan" type thing probably makes the most sense. Kaito certainly seems to think of it as indicating romantic feelings, but he's a bit of a hopeless romantic so I'll take him with a pinch of salt. The Dove in Book 2 specifically appears after 1) Sho sees Leo and MC sitting on the couch together and asks if they're a thing and 2) MC asks about Sho's cooking. I don't think Sho ever really thought negatively of MC, he doesn't seem to have thought much about her at all. He describes Luca and MC as "normies" who he doesn't think Leo should waste time on, so no real hatred just indifference. Indifference that changes to reluctant fondness that same night when Leo forces him to stay behind by lying and MC compliments his cooking. So yeah, it shows up when someone has a sense that they could have strong positive feelings towards her. You could also say that it came due to the positive feelings Leo had about the ring helping him spy on Tohma and Alan, but I prefer to think it was from Sho. Because fuck Leo.

As you might have gathered the dove does show up again in Book 3, I forget the exact chapter but it's around when Haru promises to help MC with her curse. It's also the only dove that has showed up with all members of a house present, which is one of the reasons I like Jabberwock so much, best house fr fr. I will keep my eye out for it in Book 4 and keep you all updated, if you like my anon friend I'll try to make a summary post of the story so you can know what's going on while you try to convince the game to let you through. I am rooting for you!

1. Who's your favorite character and why? So I don't.... have one. I have a lot of characters that I like hyperfixate on? But I don't necessarily think I have a favorite. I definitely do have favorites but not one in particular. So like Ollie, Roy, Mia, Connor, Dinah, Emi, Jade, David, Pietro, Wanda, Terry, Kurt, etc.

I don't.... think I actually tend to classify characters as "supporting characters" to me they're all just.... characters, but uh... Shado.

Definitely a book with both Connor and Ollie teaming up as Green Arrow and sort of them working to find a balance in that dynamic for sure, definitely push and pull in their methods of being Green Arrow, sort of showcasing how they learn from each other

11. what you have for breakfast on an average day?

Honestly? I skip breakfast almost every day. Getting up is hard and my stomach doesn't seem to wake up until about half hour later, by which I'm often out the doors already and even on my days off, I often bother to eat only in afternoon. Definitely no set breakfast food, just whatever doesn't have to be prepared, if I do eat, like a leftover pastry.

12. name of your favorite playlist?

for rainy + v, the playlist I and friend share where we add music we think the other would like or are just vibing with/want to share. It's my 'someone was thinking of me' thread even when I am feeling quite lonely and isolated. Runner ups are Groovy Guitar Boys by same friend, Women rock by another friend and 2 Exchange Prompt playlists (one by me, another by a friend).

Languages as a concept, animals (especially cats and bears), ancient Egypt and Venice, myths and cryptids around the world, a little bit dinosaurs, too. Although I was never the kid with 1000 hyperspecific facts on my obsessions, these things occupied important part of my brain and maybe I'm overestimating what an average adult knows on these topics because my coworkers thought African Spotted Dog plushie was a hyena and that a (black) panther is the same thing as cougar...

24. favorite crystal?

I saved this to drafts because I wanted to research to give names to some things rattling in my brain, and to double check if others count as crystals... And then I didn't. So, I will go with my basic answer of Amethyst. It's purple, it's so variable, it's stunning. I am a simple person.

Also love moss agate, onyx, hematite, sun stone, moon stone, mountain quartz and quite a few other semi-precious stones and the like.

25. first song you remember hearing?

Honestly? No idea, it all blurs toward the earlier years where I can't tell what's 'first', but I'd have to assume it was one of the German love ballads or yodeling or similar performances for this hour or half hour show that aired around news time on one of the TV channels. I remember jamming to it as a little baby - younger than 3 years old because my dad was still alive.

This is the vibe. The sets were very varied and great as was the music, actually.

15. How has your identity changed over time?

So I don't actually know if I'm supposed to answer this as how I label myself or how I feel? If we're talking labels, then I've cycled through a whole bunch of them, or at least more than I thought at first. The funny thing is that I've circled back to my very first label from when I was fifteen, before I figured any of the other shit out, which is grey-asexual. (Not funny haha, per se, more funny "damn, maybe I should have seen that one coming"). I don't know if I'd say discovering new parts of how I feel means anything about my identity changed, if you get what I mean? It was always me, I just learned how to label it.

My gender identity is a little more complicated, because it's a lot more fluid for me. Mostly in the sense that what I am and am not comfortable with as well as my dysphoria levels fluctuate a lot. I can spend weeks or months miserable about my gender, my body and the way people perceive me and then have the same amount of time or even longer being totally fine about it. To be honest, it's for simplicity's sake that I went the non-binary label, because overall it's the one that feels the closest (and vague enough), and figuring out something more specific felt like a headache I'd rather not have.

21. What message would you give to your younger self?

"You'll figure it out."

I think that's the most important, but also the most honest one. Saying it'll be okay feels a bit like a lie, because not everything is, but things make more sense now. And maybe I'll learn something else about who I am along the way, something new, and like I said above my gender might always be a bit... wobbly, but especially in regard to that, I think that my younger self deserves to know that it won't always be that confusing.

(This has been gathering dust in my queue so most of these may be a bit outdated but I'm posting it anyway for future reference too, hehe ^^;;)

To give you the short answer, my current top faves are: Solomon, Simeon, Barbatos, Luke, Raphael, and Satan.

I'm a HUGE side character enthusiast so most of my faves are among them. It's pretty obvious that Barbatos is one of my faves but despite all the tiny barbs I've been posting, my most favorite character is actually Solomon, which is also why I proposed a tiny sol series in this post. As for why I like him, I once sent @/everlasting-elegy an excruciatingly long ask about it so here's a link (Though you probably already know the extent of my simping XD)

For the others (just some crumbs because it would get way too long otherwise):

• Diavolo may be the next in line to the throne but he's someone who has the heart of a child and just wants to have fun, which is why he appreciates that you wouldn't walk on eggshells around him

• Barbatos has this air of mystery around him which makes you want to investigate what's beneath the surface and his formal facade, where you would find a sense of longing for your presence

• Luke is an innocent ball of sunshine who'd immediately brighten up your day once you see him smile

• Now where do I even begin with Simeon— he has the ability to smoothly deescalate difficult situations, his writing career is admirable, he's funny especially when it comes to dealing with technology, and he's literally an angel

If you were to ask me about the demon brothers, I think they're all charming in their own ways, too. Here are some of the many stuff I like about them below:

Lucifer often refuses to admit it, but he cares a lot for his brothers (and you, of course)

Mammon is probably the sweetest and most loyal despite occasionally being a blockhead (which also makes him more endearing in a way)

Levi is that one friend who you can share your interests to (and I relate to him because I tend to ramble a lot about stuff I like when I get the chance, too)

Satan, being the only pure demon among them, is painfully aware of the fact that you and him are of different worlds and races yet he loves you anyway (His HDD '21 UR card says it all)

Asmo has the ability to see the best traits in people even back when he was an angel and he'd probably be the one to pamper you the most whenever you're feeling down

Beel is a pure sweetheart who probably gives the best bear hugs and always makes sure that you're eating well

Belphie would make a great napping buddy and I don't really hate him for what happened in Lesson 16 because 1.) he's a demon after all and 2.) he did it out of a snowballed resentment towards humans since they lost Lilith in the Great Celestial War (I'm still a bit bitter about the fact that things somehow immediately went back to normal when they found out that we're Lilith's descendant, though)

As for the 3 future dateables:

• Thirteen seems like the type of friend you'd spill all your tea to and her chaotic energy makes her fun to be with (she's also quite the tsundere!)

• Mephisto has a caring side to him; likely because he has a younger brother of his own and I'd love to see the character development on how he'll accept us as a human in the Devildom

• Raphael, despite often being sarcastic and aloof, is a dedicated angel and always looks out for everyone, especially Simeon (he's also pretty funny at times)

They're all lovable in their own ways and I don't really despise any of them.

For the DA asks 9, 14, and 21?

Thank you for the ask! Been too busy to answer it, but I have been thinking about it! For context, my protags are Raven Tabris, Lilith Hawke, and Mirevas Lavellan. (They're color-coded mainly cause it's fun.)

9- what is their love language?

Raven's is mainly inspired by Origin's game mechanics but- gift giving! Giving things another may need- or even just want, if one could afford or make it- strikes me as a big thing in the alienage, and I doubt she ever grew out of that. She's not much for outwardly expressing herself- especially not during the Blight- but she'll tuck away even frivolous things if she believes one of her companions may like it. Though the silver and gold bars are just... basic gifts Zevran especially likes, she gives them to him when she starts to fall for him/feel guilty that he probably only stays around because he can't afford to go anywhere else. This way, she gives him a backup. An avenue for freedom, should he feel the need to take it.

Lilith's meanwhile is physical touch! She's not one for sentimental words not wrapped in layers of irony or hidden in a joke, but she's very touchy-feely with those she cares about. Whether that be family, friends, or a lover- if she likes someone, she'll touch them as much as they're comfortable with. A hand on theirs, an arm slung around their shoulder, leaning against their side- you name it, she's probably done it. She has to learn to be careful with Fenris, to know the signs that his markings are flaring up again so she doesn't make it worse. At first she doesn't always get it right, but she's used to that. She learns and improves.

Mirevas is all for quality time! Though she gets less and less to spare as Inquisitor, she still makes time for those she cares for. Words don't need to be exchanged, or even glances exchanged. All that matters is that they're together. Even when she can't have that, she views the expeditions under the same lands. Trudging through landscapes, fighting dangers and closing rifts, taking notes on the ever-growing book slung at her side... It's all the better for the steps beside her, for the bits of banter she listens to them exchange, occasionally throwing in her own comment here and there. Thus why she almost always brings Solas when she can- she appreciates his insight and how he encourages her near-endless curiosity. When things are overwhelming, she gravitates to his study. Knowing he'll be there and won't push her on anything she doesn't want to speak of, especially when she doesn't wish to speak at all.

Which only makes it worse when he's gone. The wolf in her dreams is a cold comfort, but a comfort nonetheless. He still found a way to spend time with her in a sense.

14- who are they closest to from their family?

For Raven, if we're counting the dead... I'd say Adaia, her mother, who instilled in her principles and the stubborn streak she carries with her to this day. She still carries the Fang of Fen'Harel- Adaia's sword- with her over two decades after the Blight. The tale she told some children in the Alienage the day of her wedding was based on her roguish mother- how she stole from the rich to give to the poor... and left out how it cost her her life when she took her daughter along. The guilt has waned over time, but she still hopes her mother's spirit rests well. (She loves her living family members fiercely, I just forced myself to pick one.)

For Lilith, it's definitely Bethany. Even before they were the only Hawkes remaining- Gamlen's alive but he doesn't count- she was always protective of her little sister. That protective streak was instilled into her at a young age, where she didn't really grasp the nuance as to why, but she knew that people would want to hurt her baby sister for who she was. It only stuck around and grew into a full-on complex as she grew older, trying to fill the void left behind by Father's passing. She doesn't even know about Bethany's resentment over it until Bethany becomes a Warden and allows herself to express the uglier parts of herself she'd shunted away to be more pleasant and deserving of her family being in hiding for her sake. There's a point after her time in Inquisition- where Lilith is trapped in Weisshaupt, pregnant and dealing with whatever mess unraveled there- where the two of them reconcile properly. Where Lilith is the one who needs protecting for a change. One of many fic ideas I may get to writing one day...

For Mirevas... that's a tough one, but I'll say Renehn, her father. Her father is always a jovial sort, encouraging her inquisitive (ha) nature from a young age. Both she and her mother had plenty to learn about their people. And knowledge should be shared, not locked tight and guarded jealously. Her whole clan is missed dearly, a family in its own right, when she's away as Inquisitor... But she especially misses her parents. How he taught her to hunt, how he'd tease and call her da'fen, how he'd understand her need for quiet at times. When she returns to the clan, he helps her adjust to life without depending on her left arm after he lost his leg in the Wycome mess. When she leaves, he wishes her well.

21- what is their biggest regret?

I'm going to be briefer here cause I'm running out of steam but- Raven... She'll act tough, brush it off, pretend it doesn't bother her, but her biggest regret is not being fast enough to stop what happened to Shianni in Vaughan's estate. Logically she knows the blame rests on those who actually did such a heinous, monstrous thing to her cousin... But emotionally it rests quite heavily on her shoulders.

Lilith... I could gesture to so much about Dragon Age 2's story here. As I said, her protection complex extends out to Kirkwall as she carves out a place for herself within it, so any major catastrophe feels to her like her fault. Like she didn't do enough somehow. For a specific moment though... I've gotta say what happens to Leandra. A real fuckin' punch to the gut for her.

Mirevas' is... complicated, but it's her decision to let Solas remove the vallaslin. At the time of such a reveal, the horror overrides all logic. Yet another thing the Dalish got wrong, old shackles repurposed into the culture of her people. At the time she doesn't regret it, but such regret only grows over time. The vallaslin was the one core thing connecting her to her people's identity, an aspect of her the humans and their Maker couldn't take away from her. And yet she'd gotten rid of it of her own volition, at the hands of her people's most reviled so-called Creator. It's a small, bitter regret, but it's the only one she doesn't manage to discard on her decade-long quest.

1. what would you say are 3 things that shaped who you are? ooh that's a tricky one!! unfortunately, being ill and then getting better between 2016 and 2018 was the biggest one.. i'm not usually particularly open about it all on here but i had anorexia during my first year of teaching and it changed a lot about me? treatment/recovery from that did lead to some good things though, as i completely lost my love of reading for a while and my now fiancé suggesting to me that i try non-fiction when i was starting to get better led to me finding a subject that i loved so much that i ended up doing my masters in it! i've had a couple of wobbles even after finishing treatment, but i'm getting there with accepting that there are some parts of it that never go away and knowing how i can keep going despite those ☺️

3. 3 films you could watch for the rest of your life and never get bored of? i know that i already answered this one but there are still more that i enjoy that much that i could watch them over and over! pretty woman, pride and prejudice, and

7. what scares you the most and why? death/dying i think? i'm a firm atheist, so the thought that you're here and then one day, suddenly that's it is pretty terrifying!

12. what's some good advice that you want to share? i can't remember the exact wording of the post, but there was something on here i reblogged the other day that basically says that you will sometimes fall into pits as far as mental health is concerned/that recovery is in no way linear, but you will come out of it and it's absolutely okay if those setbacks happen because there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel to reach for! that one really resonates with me for a lot of reasons 😄

16. if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? maybe my legs would be a couple of inches shorter, i think? i'm 5'8", but my legs are long enough that it makes shopping for trousers/skirts/dresses etc difficult because they're always shorter on me than a lot of other people i know 😂

21. are you a spiritual person? as much as i'd love to be, i'm too logically brained for that.. i do find the reasoning behind why people believe in those sorts of things fascinating though!

I'm like THIS close to diving into dating apps but Tinder scares me a bit in its popularity, also thanks to the countless stories I've heard growing up of people exploiting others sjdkshjdjs. Im 21 and also live kinda rural in a "city" with like 15,000ish people and I'm a smidge worried it's too small of a place to do dating app shenanigans safely, ykwim? Hinge sounds like a neat app but I've heard of a few technical problems and glitches (well, as you do every dating app lol), and I'm not gonna be paying for anything either, and I was just curious how you found it.

I have a board of derectives, the veto crew, the Cock Council if you will 🤣 who are gonna help me through this whole chapter. So gl me 😎🤙

I'd say my experience with Hinge has been pretty okay, though I have run into some weird glitches before. Granted, I've only gone on dates with three guys on that app, but I think that's more than the other apps I've been using. I've also gotten dates using Bumble and CMB, but never gotten a date using Tinder, simply because it's more of a "hookup culture" app than anything else, and I just never really wanted to swipe on there even though I have an account? Of course, every app has their risks, and not everyone on those apps are good people but I feel like Tinder definitely is less trustworthy than the other apps, especially because it is the most popular dating app out there, so you've got basically every type of person on there. Some with good intentions, some without.

Hinge works well enough without needing to pay, and I feel like the layout is just much cleaner than the other dating apps I've used.

Hinge > Bumble = CMB > Tinder in terms of layout (for me).

Trust me, all of my friends know about me being on these dating apps and about all the dates I've gone on, so I run to them for advice (as well as here on Tumblr because some of you people are good at this shit fr) whenever needed, and they kinda give me a third party perspective on things when I get really into my head. The few rays of sunshine in London today and England's victory over the Croats had improved your mood. The bottle was already nearly empty and you were already on your drunken streak, not wanting to stop when two of your drinking buddies had just entered. What a good opportunity to continue the evening.

“Actually, I don't care if Sir Elton John is in that bar or if it's even the Queen of England. I'm just looking for my friend: tall, blonde, balloon-sized fucking boobs, red dress."

“Not seen."

You sighed. The situation annoyed you to the highest point. You had lost your friend and that big asshole had broken your glass. The man in front of you seemed to be marble. Short answer, arms crossed, and an imposing posture. All you wanted tonight was just to have fun. You didn't care that God-knows-who, any famous or rich enough to book a VIP space, was in that bar.

"Would the asshole that hired you tonight, at least be kind enough to buy me the glass you broke with your bullshit?"

From his side, Harry had noticed the altercation. He then walked towards you, he laughed when he heard you insult his brother through the bouncer's fault. And as the Colossus' bodyguard was about to tell you that you could always dream of getting that free drink, Harry spoke up.

“The asshole, maybe not directly. But the asshole's brother. Certainly. It will be on his check anyway.”

“For God's sake, what are you waiting for then?”

And just like that, you met the boys. Harry paid you for the glass that the other jerk broke, invited you to this precious VIP space and you could talk and dance the night away. You had exchanged your social media and over time, your phone numbers. And as fast as you couldn't imagine, you had found yourself stuck in an apartment with four adorable idiots as roommates.

"Hey, y/n, where are the others?" Harry asked.

You grumbled and grabbed the beer the curly had just opened. He protested as you took a sip. Tom gave you a curious look and you frowned behind your bottle.

"y/n?”

"I don't know where T is, but Harrison's gone on a date with Gracie."

The two brothers exchanged a look heard in the face of the bitterness they had perceived in your voice. It was no longer much of a secret that you had feelings for Harrison. You had feelings for Tom's best friend for almost as long as you'd met him. Harry had noticed it first, because you were much closer to him than to Tom. The actor had understood at the start of an evening, at the beginning of the relationship between Harrison and his girlfriend.

However, you didn't hate Gracie. She was beautiful, kind, and very funny. She really brought out the best in Harrison, she made him happy and you could see that because of the distinct smile on his face. You didn't hate her; she just wasn't you and you just weren't her. And that was the whole problem. Jealousy consumed you and you hated yourself for it.

“Are you alright, darling?” Tom asked you since silence filled the room after your last sentence.

"I'll be fine after one more drink" you simply answered.

You took a sip of the beer you stole from Harry. Drowning in alcohol was certainly not the solution. But you just wanted to forget the blond a bit for tonight. Tom's worried look made you roll your eyes.

"Oh come on, Tom. Don't give me those eyes. I will be fine ..."

“Yeah, sure.” he said with a doubt.

"Can we just watch a silly movie or play a silly game to make my night better?"

Harry seemed to hear you as he shrugged and took a sip of his drink. He knew you by heart. At this point, he really considered you his best friend. So he knew you needed something to clear your mind. Something where your mind should be quick to think about.

“One,” he said nonchalantly.

"Two" you responded with a huge smile on your face.

"You are both stupid." the Holland elder complained about the game you had just started.

"You say that because you're a lousy actor who can't remember his lines. Play Holland!"

"Three". He capitulated.

And you continued like this until 21. Then, there followed a multitude of rule additions each time you reach the number 21. The 7 turned into "I'm a poor liar", the 18 into "I'd rather kiss a guinea pig" ... And every time one of you made a mistake, he drank. After an hour, the game looked like a strange conversation from the outside.

"Squirrels are scary, man." Harry said, mimicking his older brother.

"Black Widow is the best president of the United States" Tom said

"But she’s a bad lay." you responded, with a fake sigh of disappointment

"I'd rather kiss a guinea pig"

"Because you have no taste"

"Twenty"

It was at this precise moment, in the middle of the conversation, that Harrison decided to enter the living room. His blissful smile gave way to an air of amazement and disbelief at the talk between his three roommates. It was Tom who first noticed his best friend. He nodded to greet him. Harrison wore a simple black t-shirt with chinos. You took a look at your roommate and your cheeks flushed a little more than they already were.

"Hello mate! How was your date?" asked Tom with a big smile on his face

"Awesome. Can't believe it will be a year in 3 freaking days." Harrison said.

You could see his large smile, and blissful air. He was sweating happiness and although you were happy for him, it tore your heart. You purse your lips to avoid comment. Harry spoke up.

"We're playing 21. Do you want to land with us?"

"In fact, you can take my place." You got up from the couch and walked over to the kitchen to drop off your beer drain. Harrison frowned as Tom exchanged a new look with his brother.

"y/n, you can stay, It's an unlimited players game." Harry almost begged.

"No, I'm tired. I'm going to take a shower and then go to bed."

“y/n” Harrison tried to call you to hold you back a little longer.

But you were already gone. You've never climbed the stairs so fast to run away from your roommate/best friend. Harrison looked at Tom and Harry, worried about your behavior. The curly one just shrugged his shoulders as his brother shook his head, silent. They weren't intending to get involved in this. You were the only master of your feelings and the time you'll decide to confess them to Harrison. That is why they preferred to be quiet.

You spent the whole next week to avoid Harrison as much as possible. Established more distance with him was your solution to protect yourself from your feelings especially after his one-year anniversary date with Gracie and his absolute cute instagram post. It broke you down. Your heart was in peace but you couldn't blame him or his girlfriend. You were in love with the wrong guy, that's all.

But you couldn't hide from him forever. After all, you both lived in the same house, you had the same friends. So, it was hard to pretend he didn't exist.

Today was not your lucky day. You bumped into him in the kitchen. That was his opportunity to hold you down. He grabbed you by the shoulders, preventing you from burying yourself. Now he would finally find out what was wrong with you. Because Harrison wasn't a fool. He had noticed that you acted with him differently. Your behavior remained unchanged towards the other boys in the house.

“y/n. Don’t avoid me; please, please y/n, look at me”

You have plunged your eyes into its bewitching blue irises. Big mistake. You were drowning now in the turmoil of your feelings for the blonde. He had always had that effect on you, always. Tears started to bead at the corners of your eyes, you were biting your lip to hold back the torrent of tears that was already beginning to flow. Harrison's throat tightened at the sight of you like that and his hold on your shoulders slowly loosened.

“I hate seeing you like this. Please talk to me” he almost begged you

“Harrison…” your voice struggle as soon you pronounced his name.

“Please darling…tell me what’s goin’ on”

As a perfect angel, Tom was the one who saved you by interrupting this quick talk. You wiped away your tears with the end of your sleeve and run away to your room. Harrison sighed in despair. He didn't understand why you were running away from him like the plague.

“Dude, do you know why she's like that. What did I do? » He finally asked to Tom.

"I can't tell you Haz. She's the only one having the right to tell you about this"

"Bullshit. Fuck you all." Harrison said, frustrated.

Then he just quit, leaving the kitchen.

Sunday came and Tom asked you all to spend the night with him before his LA trip the next evening. It was a normal night with friends. And despite your pent-up feelings and wanting to avoid Harrison at all costs, you didn't want to miss Tom, he was your friend.

There was only the usual gang: Harry, Tuwaine, Tom (obviously) and you. But the tension was felt within the group. The lingering unspoken words about your feelings for Harrison were beginning to weigh on all of your friendship. It was so bad that it hurts to stay in the same room as Harrison. All you could see was his constant happiness, this wonderful man he had always been but in a more radiant version of himself. And you weren't the cause of that. You hated it, you hated being selfish that much. You were ready to sacrifice your friendship with the young Netflix actor for two reasons: you wanted to protect yourself ... and you weren't ready to be that obstacle in the midst of Harrison and Grace's happiness.

You were in the kitchen with Harry, pretending to help him with drinks and snacks. The curly boy could see you dragging your feet, repeating like a mantra this phrase "come on, you can do it ... do it for Tom, it's his night. Don’t be selfish, you can make it." And you really wanted it ... have a good time with your friends.

Sometimes Harry felt guilty for introducing Gracie to Harrison. They worked together as set PA in 2018 and became close friends but not as close as you were with him. You considered him like your best friend. It made sense for him to feel a bit responsible for your broken heart. But you never said a word about it.

“I’m sorry, y/n” confessed Harry.

“For what?” you simply responded.

"For having hampered your happiness. I was stupid to introduce Grace to Harrison and ignore your feelings. I wanted to help my friend. "

"Bullshit Harry. Never apologize for that. You've been a great friend to Harrison."

"But not for you."

"Who cares?" you asked, trying to minimize your feelings

"Me ... you are one of my best friend y/n"

"Just like Harrison is your best friend. Don't apologize for making him happy. Fuck, I'm the one who should apologize." You said, with a tone of anger and despair in your voice

And that's how you crack, breaking in all your sensitivity. You couldn't hold back your tears from falling as you blasted everything that was on your heart. You don't even realize that Harrison is a few feet behind your back. The weight of your feelings, your anxieties explode in the kitchen as when a cup is dropped on the immaculate tiled floor.

“What I got to do to make him love me? What I got to do to make him care? Not as the sweet friend Harry. I’m deeply in love with him and it’s gonna drive me insane! What I got to do to make him want me? Huh Harry, can you tell me? All those question in my head…and no answer to that. And you know what? It's sad, sad situation…more than that it’s a shitty situation, because I'm getting away from him and it makes us sick. Because I'm unable to tell him why.”

“You just told me.” Harrison finally said.

You jumped for a second before you froze. Harry is caught off guard and rushes into the living room stammering an apology. You are trapped. You are trapped and you can hear the footsteps of your roommate coming closer to you, so close, that now you can feel his breath on the back of your neck. Gently, he places his hands on your arms and exerts pressure for you to face him.

"You love me"

"It depends ..." you replied with difficulty

"On what?"

"On what you heard before."

"Enough that you can't contradict me."

Her thin smile doesn't help you relax. Instead, you look down, admiring your two pairs of feet. You felt like being stripped naked and you didn't like that feeling. If you could have kept this secret in your grave. But now he knew and you felt even heavier than the Titanic.

"So ... is that it? Nothing more to tell me?"

"What do you want me to add to what you've already heard?"

"Sorry?" he tried.

"For what?"

"For what? y/n are you kidding me? Sorry for being distant with me, maybe? Sorry for hiding all these things from you? Sorry for not trusting our friendship to come to me and speak?" he exploded…

"What would that have been for, Harrison? You don't love me back…" you screamed back.

"I ... I’m ..."

"See, sorry seems to be the hardest word."

After that last ironic reply, silence fell in the kitchen. So was that it? Was that how your friendship was to end? The great giants of the universe had reserved this dramatic scene for you to break years of bonding. You didn't know how to get out of this situation. You didn't even know if there was a few more things to save. You were broken and had just spoiled the happiness of one of your best friends.

Harrison was silent. He seemed to be probing your body, your attitude, analyzing any gesture that might give him the opportunity to take a step towards you. But the solution was there, finding everything ... It was enough, for both of you, to swallow your pride.

"I'm sorry."

"For what?" you echo your previous conversation

"Sorry for not feeling the same as you. For not being who you want me to be to you."

"You know ... I don't hate her."

"What?" he asked, confused.

"Gracie. I don't hate her. She makes you really happy. I just hate the jealousy I feel towards her… I hate that I am not her. But I don’t hate her, she's a really good girl."

A small smile dawned on Harrison's lips, the blonde toyed nervously with his fingers and the ring he always wore as an accessory.

"Yeah ... yeah she's great."

"I'm really sorry ... about everything."

"It's ok. We don't control how we feel. I..I can understand"

"Yeah..."

"y/n?" he tried; a little bit shy about what he’s gonna ask.

"Mhmm?"

"Do you think we can be friends again?"

You bow your head, taking a minute to think. Was everything really broken? Were you going to be able to rebuild a solid friendship after this conversation? Were you going to be able to squeeze out your feelings? You sighed before plunging into those beautiful blue eyes that you loved so much.

"Maybe. I hope so with all my heart."

"I hope so too. And I hope you find someone like I found Grace."

"You can always dream. You dripping with love, it's impossible to find someone like you two."

"Don't despair. He might be closer than you think."

He winked at you and you looked at him confused. But after a few seconds, a smile appeared at the corner of your lips. No, you had no hope of him talking about him. But you were happy, because that little sentence opened the door for you to a bond that you were trying to find.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? I have 20 for now, hopefully 21 soon if I can finish the fic I'm currently writing 🤞

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 76023 apparently! I'm baby writer

3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? Only ML, to be honest I never planned on ever writing for it but accidents happen and here we are

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? Compatible (older Ladynoir + reveal) We'll be together, always. (older lovesquare + slight time travel + reveal) I would have catwalked for you if you'd asked (dumb Adrinette reveal, it was like one of my first fics fgjjhgfjhgf) A little push (prpr my beloved) Kiss shy (prpr but dumber my beloved)

5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not? I try to, but I sometimes answer very late oops. As to why, I don't know, I feel like if someone says something nice I gotta say thank you or I'd feel bad hahaha, especially cause people kindly took the time to comment so it's nice to let them know their comments have been appreciated!

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Hmmm I suppose it's either Never let me go (prpr but without a resolution and bittersweet, I used to plan on continuing to show they will get together later but then I got lazy, rip the ending) or Mad though this one was more a small character study between Adrien, Gabriel and how Adrien perceives Hawkmoth.

7. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? I don't know, what's "happiest"? For real though most of my fics end happily, apart from the two mentioned above so I have no idea!

8. Do you write crossovers? If yes, what’s the craziest thing you’ve written? The first "fic" (if we can call it that) I wrote was a purely cracky Beauty & the Beast AU but with Marinette and Bananoir. Yeah I have regrets. (not exactly a crossover per say but the closest to one I suppose)

9. Have you ever received hate on a fic? I don't think so? I remember getting a comment of someone pointing out grammar mistakes and nothing else in the summary of a fic I posted at like 2am that annoyed me, but otherwise not that I can recall! 🤞

10. Do you write smut? If so what kind? Nope! I did write an M rated fic once but I never wrote the sex scene, only what led to it and left it for the reader to imagine haha

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of! Fics ideas though, yeah probably

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, in Russian for Compatible and We were beautiful by a user called Denniso (they posted them on a Russian fanfic website with my permission and translated some comments they got to me, that was fun!)

13. Have you ever co-written a fic? Not yet, but we did talk about something with @rosekasa, now when or if this will happen I don't know haha we're quite busy! But I love the idea we have so it'd be cool to carry on with it!

14. What’s your all time favourite ship? Lovesquare I think 🙈

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? I would LOVE to finish It'd make me love them (you) more but I have no idea when I'll have the time! It's Ladrien who bound over being rejected lovers

16. What’s your writing strengths? I...don't know? 😅 I know I like to play with the environment at times and make callbacks to the discussion at hand between characters and what happens around them. I don't know if I'm good at it though but it's something I like to play with!

17. What’s your writing weaknesses? Kisses for sure

18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic? I suppose it depends the purpose? If it's cause the character suddenly speaks in another language, sure as long as I get a translation somewhere! If it's random words thrown in, it depends. It has to be well done and measured, I see it a lot in ML fics with French words thrown into the English and it doesn't always work quite right if overdone or if the French isn't correct/containing innuendos the writer didn't know about. Some do it pretty well though and make it flow naturally which is nice! I suppose it really is a question of which word you want to translate and why 🤔

19. What was the first fandom you wrote for? ML

20. What’s your favourite fic you’ve written? I really liked writing Compatible. Also, maybe What the future holds, we'll never know, because it took me a lot of time and it's my longest fic ever! It was quite a challenge too to handle what I wanting to deal with in it!
