Self-reflection has never been Fabian’s strength. Yes, it’s gotten better over the past years and he has learned a lot. But much like sword fighting it’s a skill to be practiced and honed and Fabian is man enough to admit that he’s not an expert. Yet. He’ll probably get there at some point. But on the day Fabian kissed Aelwyn and she said “Well. No offense, but this really needs some work” his ego was bruised. Maybe even a little shattered. Fabian “My kisses are perfect” Aramais Seacaster did not expect to find yet another thing he isn’t great at. His papa always told him that he would be great at everything he ever tried his hands on but by now Fabian knows that that’s not true. That won’t stop him from trying though. “No offense, Fabian. But hey, I’m sure Ragh would love to help”, Aelwyn said. Fabian was too dumbfounded to answer. Even three days later he’s unsure of what exactly that’s supposed to mean. He won’t ask Ragh for kissing help. That would be insane. There must be many people who would be thankful to kiss Fabian, so really, Aelwyn should have been happy to offer practice.

thinking about how someone tried to insist to me that hellcheer was 'gross and pedophilic' because they had 'a huge age gap' and i thought it was the stupidest shit i'd ever heard so-

in true Extra Ass Bitch fashion i calculated roughly what the oldest/ youngest possible ages chrissy could be and the oldest/youngest possible ages eddie could be based on canon evidence (eddie's 2 failed years, chrissy's '86 necklace, etc.) and approximate school cut off dates

anyway, this is a rough approximation (not that it particularly matters because they're both still in the same age range/stage of life so a few years isn't rly much of an issue given their canon interactions) but if anyone was curious:

eddie should have been born in '65 or '66. backwards calculation places chrissy either late '67 or early '68. eddie failed his senior year twice and was supposed to have graduated in '84, he's on his third try. chrissy is head cheerleader and wears an '86 necklace, she's a senior in '86.

the youngest Chrissy could be is about [17yrs + 7 months] assuming a birthday around August of '68

the oldest Chrissy could be is about [18yrs + 6 months] assuming a birthday of around September of '67

the youngest Eddie could be is about [19yrs + 7 months] assuming a birthday around August of '66

the oldest Eddie could be is about [20yrs + 6 months] assuming a birthday in September of '65

even in the 'worst case scenario' where eddie is the oldest he could be and chrissy is the youngest she could be, eddie is 20 and chrissy almost 18

if you go with the opposite, with chrissy being as old as possible and eddie as young as possible, then eddie is almost 20 and chrissy is over 18

the other combinations average out to a 2 year age gap, which for the record, for high schoolers is still incredibly common. again, this is a stupid argument, but i can be spitefully pedantic sometimes and i enjoy having all the possible information i can before i talk shit

and i love to talk shit. so i went to go get the data myself

anyway grace van dien once said that she thinks chrissy is a pisces and i trust her so assuming that's true then chrissy was born sometime between mid february to mid march of '66, meaning chrissy would haven just turned 18 as s4 began, while eddie is still in the 19 to 20 range depending on when you place his birthday

but all of this seems ridiculous when you realize that based on what school year they're in during s4, chrissy was a sophomore the first time eddie was a senior. so like. everything else is just being pedantic for the sake of finding smth to be mad about

either way i rest my case this is a dumb argument to use against the ship, hellcheer haters get bent just say you don't ship it and go

Three ships: since this is my star wars side blog, I figure I should talk about star wars. Sadly I don’t ship much for sw, I much prefer jedi found family/gen stuff for this fandom. That being said, I love Cody/Obi-Wan and Kanan/Hera. For the third one, idk, I do like Han/Leia a lot

First ever Ship: oh that is hard but maybe the doctor/rose from doctor who? I grew up on science fiction stuff and that is the first tv relationship I can really recall being attached to.

Last Song: I am currently listening to Pretty Face by Public on Spotify. I really love that song!

Last Movie: If we are talking about the last time I went in saw a movie in a movie theater… I don’t know, sometime before covid. I still take covid very seriously and don’t go out much. The last movie I watched though was Puss in Boots: The Last Wish on Netflix, and wow that film was great!

Currently Reading: I guess the only real book I am currently reading is Percy Jackson and The Titan’s Curse. Which should not take me over 6 months to read, but grad school is keeping me busy. (Oh and I guess I am reading books for school but who wants to hear about that, ugh.) I am also in the middle of reading the manga Jujutsu Kaisen.

Oh, and fanfiction of course. I am never not reading fanfic lol. I am currently reading this series which is a crossover for the anime full metal alchemist and full metal alchemist brotherhood, which is just such a cool concept. It is called A Hop, Skip, and a Jump by SiryyGray.

Currently Consuming: I am typing this while eating my dinner, pasta in a garlic sauce!

Currently Craving: I have ice cream in the freezer for desert! But I am only letting myself have some after I have finished my homework for the day.

Talk Jehanparnasse Vampire AU to me 👀

HI sorry for not answering this question sooner, thing is i don't really interact a lot w jehanparnasse, so honestly idrk what the conventions for them in fic look like etc. i do however love esp jehan dearly and have some thoughts.

As op of that vampire!jehan post said (wherever it is now), Jehan really IS the perfect candidate for being a vampire! There's the interest in historical literature, a fascination with the macabre/death etc. I fucking love the idea of Jehan having written poetry he quotes, working intertextually with his past self, or with his dead friends.

I think he'd play being a vampire Noah Czerny style which is to say never denying anything, even telling the truth, but just not being believed ever. Arguably if there was a supernatural underbelly to Paris, Montparnasse might know about it, and be one of the only people to take Jehan at face value. In an au where most of Jehan's friends are human and unfamiliar with the supernatural (tbh i like to think some of them would know, if mont knows R knows yknow), or if they Do walk in supernatural circles maybe,,,more savoury ones, i think there could be something really interesting about Jehan meeting someone he trusts to handle the fact that he's dangerous. (In my head Montparnasse is NOT a vampire he's just having seedy dealings that go into the magic world)

I love a good gothic vampire story and the way horror and seduction are just two sides of the same coin in that context, and I reaaally think our macabre boy Jehan could be attracted to that as well. Having someone recognize him as a danger, while also being able to hold their own well enough, could be...hot. It's low key a good setup for a murder husband story or we. A monster love story is always about acceptance and finding a way to let yourself go, gothic horror very much about having things you're afraid to want, and I think they fit that mold. And as much as i don't read montparnasse i IMAgine that at least on occasion parnasse is painted as someone who leads Jehan down a dark road, i think the other way round could as easily be true and is way more interesting.

Also bonus if they got together there's a good chance les amis would think parnasse is bad news, which is a pretty funny setup if the situation is human!montparnasse and vamp!jehan.
