i use he and she pronouns for kushimaru because of the vibes

the sewing needle is one of those swords that's like how do you passively hold that. kubikiribocho and hirameikari have back straps but nuibari would just slide out. hebiichigo seals it into her sleeve but what does kushimaru do! get blisters

really though i love the way he uses his arm warmers to move the thread and change the needle's direction midair because it implies they're made of something really densely knit, like kevlar, and are armor themselves. not to mention it's just cool as hell

not to even mention the audacity. of Everything about kushimaru. the killing people for fun. killing her sensei for fun?? for what?? and the cackling, and the pedantic jokes, and cutting jinpachi's feet off also probably for fun. if you like fucked up guys kushimaru will bring you so much joy.

side note using wire to tear flesh and viscera is such an underrated weapon, used more in naruto than others but it's good to see kushimaru with it even if that's not the main part of the weapon bc it's just so him. it's so BRUTAL but really cool

ok but headcanons bc we've basically covered everything canon

so, there are two ways to think about "the heartless duo" who murdered their loved ones: they did it for purely their own gain (or because they were assholes) or because Fuguki put them up to it, and instead of it breaking their trust like killing the cypher division did to Kisame, they just let it become part of their lore. they're cool with it, is what i mean. somehow these two are uniquely evil despite zabuza and kisame's crimes and ameyuri's constant talk of hunting people (not counting fuguki here because it's unclear how many crimes he directly committed and how much anyone knew about them)

i do love the kurirares were giants theory, bc i like a kiri in which everyone is a little monstrous and the islands are haunted by spirits and critters. i have a kushimaru grandma design (though she's not literally her grandma, more like a distant ancestor that's still kicking around due to magic reasons). they're not close but she likes to see him once in awhile.

do i think kushimaru and jinpachi were boyfs. yes. for fun. i think all the swordsmen were dating each other to some degree other than the tiny guys ofc

speaking of tiny guys ameyuri is Pissed Off at how tall kushimaru is and has started fights for no other reason but that. kushimaru thinks it's endearing

ameyuri is also kind of their darling. jinpachi n kushimaru can't stay mad at her.

i kind of think about the swordsmen as ingroup/outgroup, in which fuguki, ameyuri, jinpachi, jinin, kushimaru, and mangetsu to a certain extent were the in group (the ones best suited for kiri's brutality/made it work for them rather than trying to change it) which ostracized to some extent the out group, consisting of zabuza, kisame, juzo, and raiga, who Were Not Cool with how kiri was and eventually left to do their own thing. does that mean i think the in group was purely loyal to kiri? no, they were all working more for their own gain than that of kiri (shizuma's a lot like them in that lol) but it's not like they would willingly move anywhere else.

and to the point, the in group was fairly close with the other members (other than probably fuguki.) they were besties, they were worsties. sometimes they kissed.

and having said that, let's talk about kushimaru's mask and how having a visible scar seems to not be something they do in kiri, they cover that shit up, making me think that a) kushimaru has scars on her face and b) it's a huge deal when he decides to show people. not much kissing done by this one

eating around other people too was a Thing. not that much of a thing, because people acknowledge that you gotta eat even if you're showing your scars, but she just lifted the mask over his lips and that left him completely blind which wasn't all that fun

also i have a crack headcanon that she can only see out of one eye, just because i wanted her to mirror jinpachi

how did he get these scars? getting kidnapped and uh. t&i'd during the hunter nin years. if there was any part of her that was loyal to kiri over herself that died after that event, especially because it trapped him permanently behind a mask in social settings. in protest of this, she shows as much skin as possible, which isn't all that much because kiri is Fucking Cold but still more than 95% of non-hozuki kiri denizens

i don't know what her childhood was like im going to be honest, it could have been any number of things but that's not my area of headcanons

a little bit about kushimaru in my various aus:

in fashion au he's the co-owner of the pirate lolita fashion brand Deeps and wears ouji.

in furry au she's a hybrid of a manta ray and a barn owl (the former because of the vibes, the latter because of the mask-like shape of the face and the overall creepy look this creature pair would produce.) he works at a nightclub with the rest of the swordsmen, the only other one that has a species is jinpachi who's a wobbegong

i want to talk about skater au but that one is so just. brainrot based exclusively that i don't know if i can articulate what's going on there

uhh i think his dick is big, like stupid big. though she has many pain kinks, "fitting it in" isn't really one of them

way more into inflicting pain than receiving it, but doesn't mind that either. jinpachi and kushimaru take turns indulging each others' sadism but kushimaru complains less about it

Roach from The Passenger... the mc is also an eldritch creacher in this one, which may add or subtract to the enjoyment for various different people lol

Sysba from Attollo; i also think this game in general is pretty monster friendly, with a bunch of monstrous side characters and so forth. the cool kind of neo-gothic vibes give it a feeling a bit akin to a cyberpunk Penny Dreadful... it's about as Monsterfucker as cyberpunk gets i think!

Beacon from Stygian: The Abyssal Lighthouse by my good friend @salty-stories. this one is probably the most Lovecraftian of the eldritch creachers i think, heavy Call of Cthulhu vibes. it's still in progress but i'm personally willing to wait haha

four swords headcanons?

HI INDIGO i hope you know that at first I didnt realize that was a signoff and i thought you were asking me for my headcanons about indigo link and i momentarily thought I’d forgotten about a whole ass link but anyways. I thought you’d never ask

Physically I like to think they have a decent amount of variation. I mean, they’re split up from Link’s personality so they might as well be split up from his physical appearance as well, so they’d probably each have their own individual traits from the original Link, as well as slightly varied skin tones and hair colors. 

Here are some refs I drew a while ago for them. Green got Link’s freckles, Vio got his nose, some of them have scars from the original Link as well as their own, etc. They also have slightly different hairstyles— Blue cuts his hair with safety scissors, so it’s pretty choppy, Vio grew his out to a ponytail, Green never brushes his but has a couple braids in it that Red braided for him. Red lets his grow out a little but likes to keep it shorter because it’s very curly and hard to manage when it’s long. 

Plus, since they’re split up from Link’s personality, I assume they split up his mental illness traits as well lmao. Vio acquiring the autism Resting Bored Face and chronic fatigue, Blue acquiring the irritability and anger issues, Green getting the executive dysfunction, and Red getting the rejection sensitivity <3 

As for THIS FUCKER

Ohhhhh I love speculating about his anatomy it’s so fun. He is just a funky creacher. Naturally he’s got fangs and claws but also rotatable ears :] He also has extra joints and more flexible muscles. 

I’ve always loved the au where Shadow comes back post-canon but without his powers, which I think would be disabling for him, since his physical form is semi-reliant on his powers, and his body has never adjusted to manual movement, so he’d probably have to use mobility aids. 

He’d use one of these super dramatic raven skull canes, I think. He would refuse to use anything that didn’t fit his aesthetic. 

ALSO I love the hc that post-canon after the Links are unified again they become a system since that’s. Basically what they are. Idk much about linked universe but that’s always how I’ve interpreted Four :]

Blue whales — nothing more magical on earth except maybe making your friends laugh but like theyre pretty strong contenders

Elephant seals — they are too big and scary and im kind of obsessed with them. last month i had a dream where i had one of them as a pet just like one would a dog like just around. it got along great with my cat and i woke up so sad that it wasnt real. i think i would shit myself if i saw one irl

Bats — i just think theyre neat i saw soo many of them in a cave this summer the joy at seeing bats at any time is indescribable.. very simple

Otters — i wont lie i did not appreciate otters nearly as much before this year when i listened to this one professor hold a class about riparian systems and he loves otters so much his colleague had to warn us not to ask him questions about otters bc he would just go on for too long and yes he did still talk about otters a lot and it was contagious anyway that man was SO right theyre one of animals ever i hope he never shuts up about them

Was thinking about Creed’s staff. Specifically I was thinking about many, many what-if and scenarios for the AU in between WSiA canon chapters. If Creed went back through the portal, to at the very least make sure the kids are alright, and there’s still any dangers or combat situations going on I wondered how he’d fight? He was most proficient with his artificial staff but that’s seemingly long gone since Hollow Mind so would he have learned the theory of glyphs from Luz (since they don’t actually work in the human realm) or is he stuck with whatever hand-to-hand combat he retained after 10 years? (Which, Hunter’s like fuckshitfuck when it actually occurs to him that 1: That staff was definitely Creed’s since he inherited it with his position and 2: he definitely lost it and hadn’t gave any thought to it beyond the whole being GG traumas since he preferred Flapjack)

So! Headcanon! Since the RED trio are around to evidently follow Eda, King, and Flapjack back to the Owl House, I think Darius would have picked up the staff. He would have known enough about it to collapse it and put it away instead of leaving it on the ground right next to the Night Market.

So, for WSiA/ its Au, I headcanon that it’s probably somewhere in the flat with the many other reminders giving Darius various complicated feelings.

Ohhhh I love love love that idea, that Darius scooped up the staff— and probably the mask too, since it was lying there on the ground with it. Flapjack went to find Eda, but Flapjack wouldn’t have emotional attachment to the staff and mask (or hands to carry them with lol), so Darius could totally find it when he went back to see what had happened. And then it just… sits. Awkwardly. In the apartment.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Hunter in the human realm and I think he’d definitely practice glyphs near-obsessively, even though they don’t work there (though they do seem to burn up/self-destruct, going by that one moment in YB,OS, so I guess that destruction counts as confirmation it was correctly drawn?) So I don’t think Creed would learn glyph theory from Luz, I think he’d learn it from Hunter. Hunter trying to figure out how to talk to his… predecessor-brother-relative, and neither of them is great at opening up so they start out by just. Talking about glyphs. Learning. Hanging out with the dog.

He does probably retain a good bit of hand to hand, if only from running through forms alone in his room. He wouldn’t feel comfortable getting out of practice, you know?

What is a weird quality that they have (ie their hands are always cold, they’re always hungry, they snort when they laugh, etc)? besides the fact that addie can turn into a beautiful creacher, she's only had tits for a short time since she moved to transition but, thanks magic and genetics, they got really big, and she will absolutely like, accidentally bump things off shelves or whatever, or judge wrong and get stuck in a shirt or something, lol. addie voice okay see this one fits, it's fine, i can even move my--[fabric rips] arms.

she's also an intense homebody and has a lot of hobbies to keep her busy, and is really stubbornly trying to get into miniatures even though they're So Small and Frustrating...her hands aren't as dexterous as she wants them to be but she's Working on it

also she gets drowsy or grumpy when she's too warm

12. How do they show affection to someone they love?

addie's family is super rich and also very like, aloof and cold, and she hasn't experienced a lot of straightforward affection, so it's been a hell of a learning curve. she's very delicate and nervous but she's trying her best, a little bit at a time. She's a sucker for gentle physical contact and is definitely a gift giver, but she struggles with what makes an okay gift bc sky comes from almost no money and is also weird about it and it's a balancing act...they'll figure it out.

but does addie go with sky to the fair and win the rigged fair game with some magic strength when sky is ready to throw a fit at the asshole with the carnival mustache running the stupid thing? absolutely. is she going to pick the biggest stuffed animal she can that makes sky's eyes light up and then also carry it for her the whole rest of the date? one Hundred Percent, living the dream

addie splits the difference between trying way too hard and looking Anywhere Else, especially when she's flustered. It's super hard for her to look sky in the eye bc she loves her so much...

addie is technically still a prince (or?? lord? or smth? i mean it's my game of pretend and i can make it ridiculous if i want to, yeah?) and would technically inherit a lot of money and also land and responsibilities, but things have been a little weird since she left home for Several Reasons, and she hasn't really talked to her family in a while (resolving things and getting her family back is part of the plot i promise)

she's an only child and has a lot of emotional struggles bc when she got emotional she'd transform and then be locked in her room until she could calm down enough to be a human being again and be Amongst Polite Company. yeah baby that'll make a normal child for sure

actually she probably has a bunch of half-siblings or step siblings and cousins or something. she doesnt know them very well tho, she was never interested in hanging out with the other kids at family events again for. So Many Reasons

so picky with his tea that it's annoying, you can never make him tea because he'll nitpick about almost everything (ask him to teach you and he will gladly though);

when he has to leave to take care of business stuff, he's gone days and he's so focuses on his duty that he forgets to write you or send any information if he's okay and alive;

when alone though, you'll get a lecture and a punishment;

he likes it when you're still half dressed, something about ruining your clothes;

he's specially fond of your legs and lower body so bend in front of him or wear tight pants and it'll get him going;

THE FUN

he's a walking library and it can get annoying, you'll be eating and he'll say "did you know that" and that's his cue;

zhongli trying to make jokes is such a cute attempt, they never land and then when you giggle about it his cheeks heat up;

one time you switched outfits and he laughed about it for a week as how his coat completely swallowed you;

his need to be close to you and hold your hand when he's asleep;

zhongli's and paimon's eternal bantering because he wants more alone time with you and her argument of "i found y/n first";

first is gonna be spindle since. i love them. theyre probably my favourite. and also the first i made. theyre just babie

they really are just babey,,

kind of accidentally an endless source of lifeblood which is a long story but its not.. very fun. to be constantly covered in plants. by adulthood most of their torso and one of their limbs is almost completely replaced/encased in plant matter

they take this pretty well actually. even if it gets a lot harder to move

for a vessel they grew up to full size much quicker than others of their kind, likely due to the lifeblood’s properties, but really nobody has much of a clue. didnt have time to get used to their size and still has VERY bad spatial awareness

broke their horn tip by smacking it on a low ceiling hkfdnfbdmvdf

plants bursting out of their shell and eye have pretty badly damaged it, and they can’t see out of the broken eye

theyre trying their hardest!! always!! they can’t move around very well and sometimes get lonely sitting at home in dirtmouth but they’re friendly to just about anybody and have so much love to give

seriously they dont even eat but they like to make sure they have food and drink at home in case anyone drops in and needs it

they’ve never been able to fight, and shy away from violence or combat in all forms

very scared of the dark and carries a lantern with them at all times, usually around their neck

discharges excess lifeblood into soil and grows a garden from it - keeps it from overtaking their body any further, and it’s something to do

not the best at communicating since a wood arm makes signing stiff and tricky, but they’re not much of a talker (signer?) anyway

then we have scratch n thimble who are kinda twins but not really. yeah those are matching scarves they are Bros (sibs??)

the biggest of all my vessel ocs, just in general. a big and strong friend

made it to the palace but got tossed for starting to care too much and takin a blow for another sibling. saved thimble from dying down there too and they were absolutely inseparable since

really just the embodiment of the ‘you befriended x! x would now die for you’ meme not gonna lie

has almost literally died for Multiple siblings n friends before but they wouldn’t let them. which is, a good thing

too reckless for their own good especially in their younger years but thankfully mellows out quite a bit by adulthood

tries to keep up a strong stoic front but also doesnt hesitate to abandon it if needed. theyre big soft really (they wont admit it tho)

has The Biggest soft spot for kids do not let them tell you otherwise

fought for the sake of it in the colosseum for many years before Stuff And Things involving yet another vessel happened and they kinda trashed the place and never went back

their nail is about as big and heavy as their entire body and they’re surprisingly good at using it for something so unwieldy. could probably crush most bugs just by virtue of it being So Damn Big

spends a lot of time when grown at the howling cliffs keeping an eye on those travelling into the kingdom, and deterring those with malicious intent

they got that eye wound from their sibling… it was technically an accident. they still don’t talk about it though

contrary to their twin thimble is the smallest vessel (as a babby at least - they do end up standing taller than spin and ruth when fully grown)

they have the very unfortunate problem of their shade having fused with void tendrils from the abyss sea as a babby

as such their shade is very violent and kinda has a habit of literally bursting out their shell and lashing out at anything around them under stress

eventually they get a handle on it and learn to control the literally overflowing void inside them but until then their entire life is pretty much a big clusterfuck of trying not to kill people, which they hate

they’re very timid and shy and cling to familiar figures (especially scratch) probably too much, but strike out on their own much more growing up 

theyre very strong and capable, moreso than most magic users, but you wouldn’t guess it. the only time they’d even consider showing it is in another’s defense

uses void tendrils like extra limbs. very functional! can hold many things (or offer many hugs) at once. may be slightly slimy though.

their cloak is very long and would probably benefit from being trimmed shorter but they absolutely refuse to let anyone touch it. its kinda grimy at this point and they trip a lot but don’t do anything about it

friends with a bunch of mossflies they picked up in the gardens! they all have names

can communicate with other void-creatures by sharing some of their own void! this was discovered entirely by accident but very useful, if awkward to explain

sure they’re kinda timid and like being on their lonesome, but they’re also very level-headed and friendly, and get along very well with low-energy quieter sorts of people especially

ruth is a small vessel rn/as far as i’ve worked out a timeline for! i know what they look like big but as far as the content on this blog currently goes theyre just .. smal

actual infant. hadnt actually been wandering out of the abyss that long before being dragged up to the colosseum to fight for sport

really doesnt have much of a clue how to act at first, other than ‘stab things before they stab you’

their name comes from ‘ruthless’, a nickname they got in the colosseum because they literally did not (appear to) give two shits whether they lived or died in battle. they’d just come back, anyway

scratch was the one that found them flinging a nail around and immediately went ‘oh thats a baby. this is bad, actually’

for the first short while of freedom scratch is the only one they’ll let even get close to them, and pretty much clings to them relentlessly. not a moments rest

they were actually pretty badly infected by the time they were broken out but theyre better now (another long story)

doesn’t have a natural cloak - it was ripped out and never grew back in. they make do though! their ‘new’ one was made from part of scratch’s that they ripped off and fixed together. they love it more than anything

once they actually figured out not everyone was out to kill them they stopped fighting back, and became a lot more curious and lively in general

still has a very warped and guarded sense of trust, however

kinda iffy around weapons and reacts badly to confrontation but does eventually learn to fight again (just.. in a better way)

pretty short even when grown, and going by height alone is the shortest when they’re all big

likes picking up pretty trinkets and things and carrying them around. has a few tied to their horns (as well as many pockets)

i have just now decided that spite counts as well! they dont actually survive to adulthood in any timeline i have currently (sorry spite) so big spite is entirely a theoretical but theyre fun to draw so

now spite? spite wins the babiest baby award

has one single braincell that bounces around their shell like a windows screensaver

their name indicates they are capable of feeling any negative emotion or hatred which is entirely untrue. by the time this was figured out they already wouldn’t answer to anything else

absolutely no sense of self-preservation or common sense. they are, in most regards, a very cute and very stupid dog

got lost on their way out of the abyss the first time around, ended up in the lighthouse and met friend mori!! was almost caught but eventually smuggled out and away

spent a lot of the time on the run in city of tears with said friend who was pretty much presumed dead by then. got taken in by a family, enjoyed themselves for a while

…but were eventually caught and thrown right back into the abyss along with mori killing them both for real this time. unfortunately.

cut to MANY years later and oops! their shade fused with the corpse and for some ungodly reason theyre both alive. time for the worst buddy comedy ever ft. literal pile of goop and body parts

spite does not seem to know nor care that theyre dead however

mostly happy to sit up there on mori’s shell and nap for hours at a time or fiddle with literally anything in reach. give them a cool rock and they’ll be entertained for hours. they are but a simple creacher

they do actually eventually learn to use a nail but who’s idea was it to give a child a sword. seriously i just wanna talk

So, yaaaaaasssss, you are talking about the Mokuba Split, a name I just came up with for this phenomenon, wherein we see Mokuba mature and take on responsibility given his past, and yet so many of us say, SCREW THAT LET THE KID BE A FREAKING KID already and that is beautiful.

Maybe it’s a bit of manga influence? IDK if you’ve seen that but Mokuba runs around gathering a gang of grade-schoolers to do his bidding and trying to POISON PEOPLE, all, presumably, without Kaiba’s direct knowledge, and certainly without permission. He’s just running around, wearing and doing whatever TF he wants. Fuckin’ superb. Although he was also outrageously desperate for Kaiba’s love and affection so this isn’t exactly ideal for Mokuba fans either.

And also, we know that Mokuba’s never got a real chance to be a little shit of a brother, because he never got a chance to freaking RELAX until, like, well into Yugioh DM. And, like, how are you supposed to be pranking your older bro when he’s always working himself into the ground for your future? That’s a lot for a kid to feel responsible for! Sure, you’re relatively unsupervised, but the knowledge that your brother traded his soul for a corporate office puts a bit of a damper on things.

So! It’s up to us, the fandom, to give Mokuba the opportunities to be the annoying, feral creacher we know him to have the potential to be! We just want our son to be free to relax and be an actual gotdamn KID for once in his life, yet still have the love, tenderness, and exasperation of a (somewhat, relatively) available older brother.

Tumblr hates me and decided that I wasn't allowed to send an ask, so I'm just gonna write it again I guess... Ok so I'm the anon that was talking about ducks on your art blog and I want to tell you about my favourite two ducks in the world. I named them Marmalade and Giraffe (well my friend named Giraffe) and I just love them so much??? They hang out in my schools canal and do duck stuff. So whenever I see them I get so happy by them just existing jonhibguv they're great and don't even know it.

LOVE THAT..... ducks truly are wonderous creachers they are just so joyous. I have this lake that i go to and there is alot of ducks there too! There is specifically these 2 white ducks and one big white goose that is there evertime and i love to go there and feed them sometimes :) they are really sweet . The white ducks and goose are domesticated i think and might've run away from a farm or something cause they trust humans and they are so big compared to the wild ducks. BTW THANK U FOR telling me this tell ur ducks i love them

[1] Ok so I've just finished the Ray Route for the first time w/o spoilers successfully! Thanks for answering all my nonsensical asks all throughout these 11 days. I'd thought I'd collect a few of my thoughts and put them here: (1) I have to say Saeran is now my favourite character. He's. Just a cool dude I guess (2) Cleansed Saeran is basically Edge Boi™ who dressed up for a job interview at Hot Topic. He tries to scare people but he fails poor boy (3) Ray is,,, kinda clingy I don't know man he

congratulations on reaching the finish line!! glad to talk to you over those chaotic 11 days! since you sent me these asks in parts, i’ll answer them accordingly under the cut!

1. saeran’s a GREAT dude he’s been through so much but hes so good and so strong and hes VERY GREAT n i have a very high fever so all my brain cells are bringing to the table is inane shouting and “ohoogughhug saeran good”

2. cleansed saeran as a phrase still dealt me 50 poison damage because i cannot Stand people yelling at me Ever because i am just a tiny creacher…..but its good that it didnt affect you too much!!

3. now ray’s character is really a Hit Or Miss and the way you view him is completely valid but its important to understand exactly where he’s coming from, especially in his own route. i think recognising why certain habits of his are unhealthy to himself and those around him, as well as recognising why he has them, is a crucial part of ray’s route (although you probably know that already!) so all im saying is its very good to call him out for his unhealthy habits! but please try to be nice to him ^^;;

4. its probably not that funny but the entire time v’s telling rika how much he still loves her he looks like he’s passing the fattest kidney stone so judging by that im pretty sure they’re gonna burn like saeran’s house :/ 

5. rika is designed to be a very morally ambiguous and morally provocative character, and the way someone perceives her is almost always entirely dependent on their own experiences, which is why i believe that you’re in no way wrong whether you like her or don’t like her

personally i have a lot of Thoughts on rika that i might discuss in detail sometime later, but the general gist of it is Good Intentions, Bad Actions. everything she’s done has been under a twisted conception of love, and the moment she started involving other people she became exempt from being easily excused for her actions, but i think her desire to be a good person means that she has the potential to find a kind of love that’s not destructive to herself or others, and i’d like to hold her responsible for self recovery more than self retribution (of course then my argument brings up the whole “then no criminal would actually be a criminal” issue and yeah this whole debacle is messy and deliberately situational but since i’m not the one in charge of Rika’s Divine Ruling, i dont reckon there’s any point to thinking about it too much…… im just gonna go with my gut sjhgckf)

6. if they kill seven im gonna. well im. im just gonna cry BUT considering they brought ray back from the dead in the most arbitrary way in v’s ae im gonna assume seven’s chances are pretty fucking good (to be a bit more exact, you still get a few of seven’s thoughts on day 10 and one response where youre like “he might be playing around with the kidnapper’s wits!” gets a heart from him so if he’s alive enough to give you kudos for a comment he can’t even see then im gonna hope he’s alive enough to survive the ae)

7. v’s ae took a HECK of a lotta time but im assuming that’s because they had to lay out a HECK of a lotta foundations for this new style of ae, so ray’s shouldn’t take as long! maybe sometime near the middle/end of this year? its good to try be patient but if youre frustrated you cannn engage in the fandom annnndddd…….talk to……meeeee JHVBDGCVKFGJHJ im ALWAYS up for ray route talk >:3
