3. your favorite party

well i had quite a Few parties you might say, some i can't even recall but my objective favorite would be xiao + jean + albedo + zhongli .... also known as the expensive team with everyone being 5*s but i at least get this right. it's really fun and really strong, i did a lot of exploration with this team especially in the chasm since actually the lack of elemental reactions means that there's less constraints for proper rotations. double anemo/geo means anemo resonance which is great for exploration and geo resonance which is just a great universal buff i'd say this was the team i had most fun playing. i cleared some spiral abyss content with this team as well and they did great. classic moryana with ayaka + mona + diona + venti was my overall best and strongest team, i did a LOT of spiral abyss with them. i don't use that specific lineup for world exploration though, usually i'd swap mona for kokomi at least and diona for like whoever. there's kokocharge (i made that up) typical lineup is kokomi + fischl + beidou + xingqiu/venti depending on needs since i mostly used this for spiral abyss or fast clearing domains, specifically the one with the rifthounds. it's not really comfortable for casual playing though since it's mostly just capitalizing on chain reactions and with world exploration you'd prefer single hit big damage kind of attacks. my ayato teams were a mess but when it came to abyss i made like a fucked up national comp with ayato + xiangling + bennett + sucrose which was really hard to play. national comps in general are just way too complicated with their rotations for me but i mean if they do damage ......... i also have a specific setup for a domain which was ayato + yun jin + bennett + sucrose. tbh i enjoyed playing ayato but i wish his teams were more coherent or at least in my time

in my current account i'm enjoying nahida + lisa a lot as a duo.... aggravate is really good and so is hyperbloom but i need a hydro other than barbara

27. how much do you cook if you do it

i would think i cooked about as much as the average player does, i did enjoy my healing foods but the ones that buff become kinda obsolete at some point in endgame. i used to do those gacha rituals with like making a bunch of food that the character likes before pulling them but i stopped at some point

35. a random headcanon

here's another thought, it's kind of between a headcanon and a kin memory? dainsleif is called the boughkeeper but we don't actually know how what or why. like what bough is he keeping. this came to me in a dream or popped in my head or something which is why it might be a kin memory but i interpret him to be the guardian of irminsul. he has close connections with that tree at least and it's also safe to speculate that he has special access to it since he's able to manipulate memories and his weird "immunity" to the khaenriahn curse being probably related to how he's able to shift the properties of the universe at will. one of the biggest questions that still remain today is how exactly traveler is a descender but their twin isn't, i think it's because dainsleif was able to incorporate them into the script of teyvat through irminsul manipulation. what does this mean? i can't tell you..........

please stay: a simple little drabble from my old blog :'^) it's very dear to me TRULY. writing for jjk, and specifically for nanami, had me focus a lot more on the nuances of the characters and love and care and i feel like this is one of the first pieces of mine where i, as the author, can see that very clearly :'^)

the sex party: i am SO endlessly fond of this fic. i wrote this one in 2020, unemployed, living at my parents, in the span of a few days. i pulled all-nighters purely because i was struck with muse. i screamed to one of my now best pals about it in dms :'^) i graduated college just a month or two before during covid, and was mourning and missing the small liberal arts college life and kinda like. steeped in nostalgia a lil!! this whole fic is based on an actual party i went to in the fall of 2019 that was far more wild than i portray in this fic. anyways. it is dear. i love this one. shinsou is also classic boyfriend so ;^)

for you are the world (as i am in pieces): LOOK. this fic is my baby. it's in its final arc of writing, and it's truly been a beast to plan, write, edit and like!!! riff about to get everything in this fic executed accordingly. it has many pieces of me in it, and i am like :'^) so proud of this one.

six drinks, first time: i wrote this one shot over the course of two days INCENSED. jing yuan is husband. THE husband. my husband. getting hit with such muse was so fun and it was so nice to write some smut again :'^)

pretty eyes and starshine: i wrote SO much hawks fic in 2020 and 2021 and this one ooof... kinda like a final love letter. i wrote it during a really awful period of my time in this niche, and the feelings and tone of this piece reflect that in a way that i really appreciate now. it's self indulgent and tragic and sad :'^) in a way i adore

Sooo I’m still quite behind with the Archon quest, so some things are unknown to me, but like i mentioned on that one post: I would be a mix child (just like irl hehehe). I grew up in Mondstadt and i would enroll as a knight from the Knights of Favonius. I was pretty close with Jean, Thoma (before he left to Inazuma), Amber, Eula, Albedo and Kaeya, but not as much with Diluc. He was always very busy with his duties as the heir of the Ragnvindr Clan and when I heard that he dropped out as knight right after his father died and that he despised the knights, I didn’t want to bother him. In the same year as when I officially became a knight, my dad would die from eleazar. It didn’t affect me as much because I was somewhat estranged from him, since he wasn’t around a lot. I decided that I wanted to see more of Teyvat and I simultaneously didn’t agree with the way the Knights of Favonius were acting (this was before Jean became the Acting Grand Master), so I decided to drop out as well and I became somewhat of a wanderer/adventurer. After the death of my father, my mom would move back to Sumeru, so ofc I wanted to visit her as well!

I only became acquainted with Diluc when I came back to Mondstadt to visit my friends who all grew up. I would visit the Angel’s Share and Diluc coincidentally had his bar shift. We would talk and I would gradually become tipsy. I would tell Diluc all about my travels and he didn’t had the heart to kick me out. So, he decided to be my listening ear and we had a heartfelt conversation, both have experienced the same thing: the loss of a father. He was also pleasantly surprised with the view I have of Teyvat and of everything that is happening rn! Later on, when the tavern would close up, he would carry me back to my childhood home. My mom never sold it when she moved back to Sumeru bcs she wanted me a place to stay if I decided to come back. Anyway, the next morning it was Kaeya who told me that he saw Diluc carrying me back home and I also remembered a few snippets of our convo. So, I immediately went to the Dawn Winery to apologize for my “uncommon behavior” that night and that’s basically how my self ship with Diluc started

omg. mao. do i ever have a playlist for it. it's THREE HOURS LONG LMAO. and i'm very meticulous ab my playlists; i want them all to flow, tell a story, need the genres of songs to be similar, the same, or at least transition into each other well enough so it doesn't feel jarring to my ear lol.

OKAY SO This is basically the plot of my Maoichi fic that you can read HERE IF YOU WANT TO! I understand reading fics isnt for everyone and i am happy to explain and summarize here. IM JUST attaching the fic link for those who may want to read it because i love sharing my writing. I'm very proud of it and all the research i did/am doing

BUT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION MORE COMPACTLY.... under the cut, the summary turned into a couple paragraphs

Ichimatsu was just walking around Akatsuka ward midday down a street he normally doesn't walk down, and sees a sign for a cat café he never noticed and rushes over to the window to see the cats. It doesn't dawn on him until he's actually at the window looking in that it's not open yet. There's someone inside, sitting on the ground, trying to put a cat tree together incorrectly (as in trying to put two pieces together that don't go together) and that turns out to be Mao! Ichimatsu ogles a little bit and realizes he shouldn't so he goes to the OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET to watch from afar because now he's curious for some reason and he just sticks around a bit until Mao finally notices him. They see he's been hovering for a while so they stop what they're doing and go to the front door (going to open it but don't remember that its locked so they thump right into the door which causes Ichi to laugh a little) and then beacon Ichi over to which he timidly does. He doesn't listen to a word they say because he's watching them so intently but he finally realizes and the information gets across that the cat café is going to be opening this weekend, they had him a flyer with a coupon that has 15 free minutes with the cats with no need for purchase, and he goes on his way.

So that's how they meet, and they get closer slowly over several months of him going to the cat café as well as their paths crossing. They are mutually pining for each other hard and tbh im a hopeless romantic so its a liiiiittle bit of like, a love at first sight kinda thing almost? Not exactly but... both are mutually just infatuated with each other, both have anxiety and similar temperaments so they don't realize that their crushes are reciprocated. Think about how Ichi doesn't think he's good for anything, like how he refers to himself as literal trash? Imagine Mao blushing and stuttering because they're nervous to talk to him? He'll perceive that as their face is red because they're so mad he's even talking to him, and they're stuttering because they're trying to hold themself back from laughing or gagging. Meanwhile, Mao is doing their best to get over their social awkwardness and talk normally to a guy that THEY don't think they have a chance with because why would ANYONE give them a chance, let alone the guy they're crushing so hard on.
