Eyes narrowing, he gazed across the lake; the sun’s glare skipped over the ripples made from the stone he’d thrown in only moments before. “But I thought—“

“—you thought what?”

Her voice was lower: a tease. And when he peered over to tease her in return, he found she’d already begun untying her laces.

👻 Is there a new genre you'd like to write?

A gothic-inspired suspense. I dipped my toes some time ago with Desire&Decorum&Zombies, but I want to take a full on dive and write one of those stories, I'm still considering whether it'll be a fanfiction or not.

Also I'd love to write a fairy-tale inspired novel, but it's a concept I'd have to do some research first, not that I am complaining about research... I totally love that! 😅

👾 Do you have any "bad" writing habits you want to break?

Editing while writing. I definitely have to stop that! It slows my writing and consumes precious time I have during my writing sessions (which is also something I must plan better this year and focus on the original stories I wish to write).

Also defining writing goals instead of jumping from one drabble to the next, searching for inspiration, and not finishing anything... I'm planning on setting a plan for the year (I have dozens of unfinished stories and some are so precious to me and deserve to see the light of day, even if I don't publish them on Tumblr).

Let's see how it goes! ☺️

North Carolina for my college roommate's wedding! It was gorgeous, getting there was a bit of a trial but it did make the time there even more worthwhile. It was really powerful to see her after five years, both of us through our 20s and better for it. Her mother came up to me late into the reception and thanked me for the friendship I had with her daughter, we were randomly assigned roommates in college yet here I was eight years later states away watching her get married. That's a moment that I'll cherish forever.

She can still hear his yell, ringing through the hall. Joel's harsh voice, telling her to hide, that he'll take care of the raiders. Shoved ahead of him into the room, the bulk of his back against the door the only thing that has her opening the wardrobe, crawling in.

When she opens her eyes - there's snow. Soft, puffy flakes swirling down, illuminated by the lit lampost. Something shuffling in the woods, just coming into view. The being blinks at her, that right red scarf twisted around his neck. A human, she thinks, until she sees the furry legs below.

Her mouth falls open.

i don't remember a specific event but there were always these old sunday afternoon movies on our tv. so probably either the Sissi movies with Romy Schneider or the original Ben Hur. have you seen Ben Hur? How about that Messala, hmmm? Very gay, in retrospect

top 3 movies that changed my life? literally changed as in changed my brain i would say: definitely The Fellowship of the Ring, i saw it on video cassette when it came out and it hypnotized me. about six months later i had read all of Tolkien's book and was really into fantasy for the next few years

then we all have that one queer movie, for me it was Sommersturm. there's a boy who's coming to terms with being gay, in the way it was way back in 2004, all set in that typical german summer we all remember from when we were teenagers ... stop me i'm nostalgic. it was so bad to be queer back then. i dont even want to watch this movie now, but it meant so much to me back then. a sign that we were there, in a community like the one i grew up in.

lastly i'd say Synechodche, NY. i dont even remember a lot about it. I just think about that set, how they built the set inside the set, and then the set inside the set. very aesthetically important to me.

the water question is hard. one time some friends and me streaked in a rainstorm down one of berlin's main streets (they totally gentrified that street now) very wet

idk why i literally can't think of anything......i don't often change my mind on these things. i think i either like it right away or i reject it and never think about it again

i have definitely gotten on board the rebelcaptain train in the last year or so. i'll sneak them into one of my own fics one of these days

16. a tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate

there are so many tiny gestures/looks/moments with vel and cinta that i think need to be screamed about by more people than me, but that list is too long to get into here

my first instinct was to say og Law & Order but that was just the first show i was obsessed with.....it's probably Bones though. that was the first thing i remember seeking out stuff online for. a cursed thought now

My Nintendo Wrapped said Fire Emblem: Engage with 100+ hours 😅 so I feel inclined to choose that but I feel like this was the year I finally started to 'get gud' at Dead By Daylight? Or at least know enough to not make a fool of myself. I'm gonna go with the latter, it's been a ton of fun to learn and experience the new content as I've gotten more serious about playing!

yes hello! You were actually the first person to ever interact with me on this blog!! I appreciate you and your kindness and welcoming attitude is not at all unrecognized. Genuinely, thank you for being such a cornerstone of this online fan space and being so welcoming and inclusive to new members! I genuinely will not forget that kindness you showed me and welcomed me with!!

My favorite questions were the ones you personally tailored for me about the career districts. I was a big fan of those as they were my niche interest, but it was also so so kind of you to send questions tailored to my interests!!! I greatly appreciated it!!

Full transparancy that I have a LOT Of questions from you that i havent been able to answer as they're more geared to TBOSAS (Which of course thats the big thing these days) and while i'm a fan i'm not as invested in the analysis and meta of the new series as I am the OG.
